More enjoyment. This app really adds more enjoyment to my round of golf. Having the hole map and accurate yardages lets me do less guessing and more hitting solid missiles at the pins. Now how do we get an app that will read the greens?

Good app but could be better. This is not the app I normally use but have been using it for my Monday morning round with my friends so that we could all use the same app and see everything as we go. Unfortunately we are a fivesome and this app only allows for 4 unless you add another group which then has to be scored by someone the person that is in that group on his own. The gps is ok but the transition from gps to scoring could be better. After you put in the scores and press done I would think it would go back to gps but you have to make it go back to gps. It should transition to gps on its own so you are ready for the next hole.

Important Features Taken Away. Played Friday after long lockdown lay-off and discovered that scoring on the golf now app is gone. Forced me to download a new app while I was on the course. The new app took away features my friends and I used on the app. It doesn’t allow adding players to a round and emailing the scorecard after the round (so it’s useless for me and my friends). It took away the ability to track sand shots, and whether you’re left or right on a par 3 or short or long on any hole. Seems odd that a company would de-feature and expect people to stay with it.

App. I enjoyed using it. However, I would prefer the ability to add other players like before. Also, it’s lacking handicap for green and gold tees at least for Peach Tree Golf and Country Club.

Still Can’t Play a 9 hole competition. I mentioned this before and you responded that this was fixed but it’s not. You still can’t play a competition of only 9 holes which extremely limits the app. If you could do this it would be a 5 star.

Disapointing. I originally used the regular golfnow app to track my scores and to use as a rangefinder, however it is now a requirement to use this golfnow compete app. I loved it at first-even more than the original-but I was very disappointed to see that it wont allow me to submit scores for when Im not playing 18 holes. This is a terrible feature, and it is very restricting due to the fact that I usually only play 9 holes. Other than this fact It is an amazingly useful app which I use all the time, and if they fix this problem then it will for sure be a 5 star rating from me.

GN. Very solid app. Just dislike the ability to locate courses when I enter scores. Also hate that my previous rounds on the original Golfnow app disappeared when they transferred to this.

Love it. Very accurate and easy to use. Today was my first time using it and I’ll be using it every time!

Remove quick score. The quick score feature is annoying. It doesn’t stay turned off and there is not way to turn it off in settings. Other than that, the app is quite good.

Can’t keep track of others scores. I used the original Golfnow app for scoring and loved it. I always kept track of everyone’s score. This new app only lets me track my score. I can invite others to the round but I’m unable to just add other golfers and keep track of everyone’s score. Everything else is pretty much the same for me. Not sure why they had to change this :( Sorry Golfnow but I’ll be looking at other apps.

Missing features from original app. Need to bring back more in-depth options for accuracy off the tee, for instance par 3s don’t even give you the option, would be nice to know how many times I go right/left, long/short of the greens as well as on par 4 and 5s. Also is missing the bunker counter that used to go with tracking penalties. This app Should’ve been a replica and transition with improvements from the main app. Not sure why some of those features were removed or limited. I do, however, like the ability to adjust where the flash is on the green to get exact distance.

Fix it!. I have used this app for a few years and have loved it until now. Since this summer it doesn’t recognize any of my previous rounds and yesterday wasn’t able to register the course I was playing on and have played WITH THIS APP no fewer than 50 times. Ridiculously frustrating.

Ruined a Good Thing. Loved the old app and it worked great. After an update to the “old” app at the beginning of a round that resulted in nonstop crashes I kept score on paper. Downloaded the new app. Guess what... Can’t input old scores, can’t change scores once there finalized. Everything seems much more restrictive, and although it seems to have worked for others, I lost all my old rounds. Very unfortunate, will be looking for a new app that will just keep score in a simple format.

Needs a Watch app. Great app, love tracking my scores and the GPS feature. But I may end up switching to an alternative app that offers watch functionality

Please add total putts to round review. Please add total putts to round review. It tracks the total putts, but only shows your average putts per round. The app used to show them, when you selected “view round history” and then chose a round/card to review. Hopefully this is something that can be added back to the app, and hopefully quickly. PLEASE! I like the GPS tracking for the course, helpful and relatively accurate. Just a few polishing bits and it should be a great app, deserving of an increase of rating.

First time user. Outstanding app - can’t wait to play again- yardages are right on!!

Minimal Viable Product is Promising. Auto GHIN two-way sync would be great! Adding Venmo or a payment gateway for paying bets would be awesome. It is intuitive and I think Golf Now is making great progress. Hopefully, they continue to push new updates and fine-tune the app.

Buggy App. I’ve used the app for the past 6 months and it has worked just fine up until recently. Every other round now, the app will crash and then force me to login and it won’t accept the password that is clearly the only password for my account. I’ve had to then change my password every single time it has logged me out after crashing. This app would be solid if it didn’t crash every other time you used it.

Need Apple Watch Function!. The GolfNow Compete app has some good features including score/stat tracking, accurate distances, and an easy interface. However I don’t want to have to reference my phone each time I want to check a distance or tally my score which is why they desperately need to add Apple Watch functionality. With the watch you’d be able to see the yardage and keep score without having to keep getting your phone out to do so. There are other apps I’ve tried that have this feature but most require a subscription of some kind. Golfnow compete could stand out if It provides a similar product for free.

VERY DISSATISFIED. It appears that the old saying “if it isn’t broken, fix it till it is” seems to apply. I loved the Golfnow app. Used it for me and my friends. Can’t do that anymore, without a whole bunch of BS. What a shame to ruin a perfectly good app!

Only a few glitches. The GPS was very accurate with the exception of par 3’s. Every one of them told me it was 4000 miles into the Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of Africa. I also could not figure out how to keep my playing partner’s score. It was my first use, so I might be able to figure that out.

Non intuitive and hard to play with others.. This app is a big let down. First off, it has no tutorial or a help section and is not intuitive when it comes to the competition options. Worst of all; if you want to compete or keep score for multiple people, the other players have to have accounts and accept invites. You can’t do any manual player and round setup or entry. I tried to play with my older father in law who didn’t want to download this app on his phone, so we just used the good old fashioned paper scorecard instead of this app. I’d rather use GolfNow apps because the course selection and syncing with bookings is so great, but this app is very underwhelming at this time.

Traditions of Braselton Country Club. Excellent hole presentation. I manually entered scores but would like to try the automated scoring next time around. Best overall links app to date for me. Great work.

Make it more user friendly please. It appears to be a little complicated for invitees to sign up. Also it is not obvious where participants in a completion should enter their handicap. It wold help if you had a help tab to guide first time users

Unable to edit scores. One of my rounds was entered twice by accident but there’s no way to remove the duplicate round. Also, I liked being able to track bunker stats on the old app but that isn’t an option anymore.

Great App. I use this app all the time. It allows me to track my score history and then compare that to how I have done on a course previously. I only wish would be, even though it allows me to track putts and penalty strokes it does not provide that history for comparison, only score.

Best Golf app. I’ve played golf my entire life and had a lot of golf apps but this is about the best one I’ve ever had. I do wish it knew that 9hole course are 18 if played twice, because we couldn’t use the distance finder on the back 9

Missing features from original app. I used the original GolfNow app to track my progress while I was playing. Now I’m forced to use this one but the GPS doesn’t even work when I try to tap my location. It’s literally just images of the hole with suggested yardage, yet it still asks for my location. Plus the competition I entered in did not update with my score. It feels like a downgrade from the original. I would like to also add an option to add scorecards that I had to enter manually so I can update my handicap.

Dislike most recent updates.. Not sure what all they did, but since the most recent update, it takes longer for the app to locate where I am and give me distance. Prior to update, as soon as I opened my phone (with app open) it knew where I was and showed immediately the distance to center of the green. Now, the map moves, corrects itself, a circle appears, start to reduce in size and then pinpoints my position. All the while the distance to the whole is changing. On occasion, after entering my score for the hole , the next hole shows me far away from the tee box. I have to close the screen (not the app) then reopen the screen, to get the bearings. Other than that, it’s ok. Distances, when they finally stop changing, seem pretty accurate.

Functional. Could not figure out how to get back to the hall viewing from the scoring needs to be a better way or at least some sort of a description on how to go from the scoring page back to the playing page.

Golf Compete. Program is great however the gps goes in and out and reboots at times. Not sure what that’s all about, needed to delete the app and reload it today as it had signed me out and wouldn’t recognize my password. Played golf today and at times the gps background was partial, however, came back after awhile. Not sure if it’s weather or what. Like the program it usually works. I have had the occasional situation where a random hole is shown out in the ocean! Greg Kieninger

Glitch. App did not find the course I was on, and it had recognized it many times before. The app worked for front 9 and the it just glitched and just showed a loading circle forever. I removed the app and reloaded it and now works, but missed the back 9 holes scores, very annoying!

Some glitches and design issues, otherwise very good. Comparing to old Golfnow app. The pros: Interface is a little more nifty, seamless getting back to the app from lock screen, includes handicap, maintained all golf history from old app. Also I like that you can change the pin position. It also has an option for auto-scoring. That would be very cool if it worked. The cons: can’t record 9 holes anymore, the home screen seems to have a glitch - only shows 1 round, no average or best score despite lots of history from old app and 2 rounds with new app. Also my handicap did not change after 2nd round and I am not sure it was impacted by my first round with new app. Also, I cannot figure out how to add golfers to my round like in the old app. And auto scoring doesn’t work. (It’s not that it got it wrong, it just didn’t ever function.) Finally, the app needs to be reloaded between each play and I find I need to access it from the play now feature in the old app or it glitches - won’t open; just closes when I try. If the glitches get fixed and add back features of play 9 and add golfers this will be 5 stars.

A lot lost with the latest update. Yesterday was the first time that I used the updated app. It no longer lets you track putts, penalty shots or tee shot direction. It also doesn’t allow you to move to the next hole without recording a score for the previous hole. If you are hustling to play through a group, like we were yesterday, you can’t just stand up on the tee and get your distance, it points to the previous hole. I checked to see if there were options to add the tracking back in but couldn’t find anything.

Good and bad changes. We need Apple Watch!!!. I loved the original Golf Now app. I told all my friends about it. It’s amazing. A digital way to track everything. This new app, first of all, you can’t save 9 hole rounds which is completely bogus. That needs to be fixed ASAP. Which definitely should be easy to do. Second of all, the new GPS is so much better and faster. Absolutely love it. But, we need it on Apple Watch! I’d rather just look at my wrist rather than having to check my phone every shot. I love this app. It’s truly great. But these small changes need to be made.

Solid app. I love this app and the clean features of it. I would just recommend a few things that would make it better for users. 1. Allow edits to be made to competitions after being created 2. Allow 9 hole competitions 3. Add variable point systems

Unreliable. Unfortunately I was forced to change to this app as I started my round, I wish I’d had a notice. First several rounds were all fine, however the last three rounds the app has not worked properly. The app does not load or it doesn’t provide gps distance or location. No yardages, simply just an image of the hole from back tee to green. It’s basically a scoring app right now, and that’s not what I expected.

User friendly app. Easy to use. Quite accurate and helpful to improve my game.

Good GPS & Scorecard but needs more Stats. The GPS is very good and I like how the scorecard allows you to track fairways hit, putts, and greens hit. Good data to see but needs improvement. After your round completes, they should be throwing data in your face. “Hey you had 34 putts this round, 2 less than average” “your FIR was 10% better this round” etc but instead it’s just lumped into your career stats so I can’t tell if I improved or not. Once I save my scorecard down, all the details are gone and you can’t access it other than the hole by hole score. I’m here for the stats to see if I’m improving! Currently exploring other apps that can do this.

Almost perfect. I have tried a lot of apps. Some of them paid. They are all a disappointment. The Grint, 19 bides and a few others. The are not intuitive, or don’t track basics. Everyone has been distracting and frustrating during the round. Golf complete is by far the best. Wish it would track greens in regulation. It tracks fairways, puts and penalties. Gives you front middle back and adjusted for elevation approach distances. I think it is misssing match or skins play. Can’t remember which. When I play with a buddy we track as many different typess of games as possible so someone gets a moral victory. Can’t do all at once if I remember. What I do know is that I keep trying other paid apps and by hole three I am closing the app and opening golf complete and entering the past holes. Pleas add GIR then I will never try another app. Thank you!

Scam. Very dissatisfied with GolfNow management recently. Almost lost nearly 1000 because of their fraudulent “worry free” cancelation policy. They DO NOT actually refund you but offer credits that can only be used for “hot deals” and expire in 6 months. Useless credits. They want you to cancel because then you’re essentially just paying them for nothing. Call courses yourself or get a different app. Don’t get Golfpass!

Could be 5 Stars so easily. They took the old version away and gave us this. They took out several of the features that made it a such a great app. It tracks all of your stats, but you can’t actually look at your totals/averages for that round, only the total average of all your rounds. You should be able to sort scorecards, delete old ones, and view each hole in detail. The GPS used to have a target box that you could drag to a spot if you are thinking about laying up, now that’s only there if you are like 300+ yards from the hole. Why remove these features? The one improvement I did see was that you can now position the pin within the green, which is nice but doesn’t make up for all the missed potential.

Best GPS app out. I absolutely love this app, been the best one so far. All that is missing is syncing with my watch so I can have my distance without having to pull out my phone.

Developer Support Bad. There is no way to easily contact the makers of this app when there are major flaws. Surely, NBC Universal has support for their customers and would welcome feedback. Several golf courses I have played show the hole location in Africa (the courses are in Florida). 4 holes on one course I play often. There is no yardage or other GPS function . Please fix Kissimmee Bay Country Club holes 6, 8, 13 & 16.

Can’t save a 9 hole round. I’ve been using the Golf Now GolfPass app to track my scores for the last year and a half and have loved the gps, the stats and the ease of use. I was surprised yesterday when I couldn’t track my score, I was given the option to download the new app, GolfNow Compete. The interface seems nice and I was looking forward to exploring the changes but at the end of my 9-hole round I was unable to save my scores. I had the option to “resume scoring” to finish entering scores for the entire 18 holes, which I hadn’t played and wasn’t planning to play, or “exit without saving”. I love golf but I don’t have time to play 18 holes every time so a 9-hole round is quite common for me. I guess I’ll have to find a new scoring app. Too bad.

Almost Perfect. Since the release of the separate compete app, this has been my go to for shot tracking and gps yardages, the only thing that would make this better is if there was a way to see your whole scorecard in landscape. If we can get that this would get 5 stars from me!

Good app but could be Excellent!. Solid app, love the live scoring feature + GPS & wind direction. Easy to maneuver throughout the app and input scores. GPS is super accurate - double checked with my range finder and was always +/- 1 yard if not spot on. Wish the stats feature was more built out for instance: up & down for par saves when missing a GIR. Also wish you could view your scorecard after you save your round - you can only see your total score to par. Would also like if you could trigger on/off tracking driving distance on par 4’s and par 5’s (would think this is doable since GPS is built into the app). Would also be awesome to see distance of putts made per hole/round. Good app as is but a lot of room for improvement! Nice job GolfNow!

Works well. Used a few time now on the course and works very well. Better the a few others I’ve used. Auto score hasn’t really worked for me even though it’s turned on, not sure I’ve figured that out yet. I am just really waiting for Apple Watch support. I hate going to the phone every time. Just a slight inconvenience. With Apple Watch support it would get 5 stars from me.

Disappointing in several ways. I have used the GolfNow app for years. The split off the play / scorecard feature into this app and added several unwanted features. After using the new app for several rounds I have the following issues: (1) there is no way within the app or from the golfnow web page to provide feedback. (2) for each round you get an unsolicited email to review the course. I cannot turn this off within the app or via link in the email message. I consider these messages are spam. (3) the units choice is yards or meters. Displaying the altitude in yards is not helpful. (4) I have noticed at least one error in the course layout but because of #1 I can’t report it. For example the Todd Creek course in Colorado has the #10 green marked at the #1 location. (5) the app uses the gps after completing a round. You have to force quit the app to stop this. (6) there is no apparent way to export the scorecard data (or any statistics). Email as text would be fine. (7) the satellite imagery is old in some cases. Again, #1 prevents me from reporting the specific issues. I would appreciate the app developer fix these issues.

Good app but needs multiple player scoring. I have used the GolfNow app for several years which I have enjoyed, but it needs the ability to keep scores for other players in your group which was removed when the app became GolfNow Compete; otherwise a great app.

Could not create competition. Looks like a great app however I couldn’t create a new private competition. It kept crashing.

Yardages. How do I open up the measurements of the distance I am from the flag on each hole? Thanks

App doesn’t work at all. Login in and kicks you out right away. Try and contact someone from customer support and you can’t even find a number to call or an online chat

Distance radius in search for golf course. I live in Ontario. When I try to search for the nearest golf courses I only get the radius search for about 2.5 miles of the nearest golf course. Can you possibly extend this search option to a wider distance pls ?

Amazing app. This app is amazing. The yardages it provides I find it very accurate. Great for reducing my score

Needs to add multiple day tournaments. We’ve used this app for a tournament the past couple years but it’s a two day tournament and the app can’t carry over into the second day. Otherwise unreal app to watch the leaderboard move up and down

Easy to use and edit. Very accurate, shows split distances so you can manage course. I forgot several holes and instead of just filling in pars, it marked the ones I forgot to enter so I could go back and ad them after for my true score.

Missing courses. Only 3 golf courses show up on the app for my entire province. I can’t even find courses that I tracked on the previous version of this app. The search function needs a lot of improvement, most often I’m shown courses that are thousands of miles away.

Almost perfect app. Extremely great app especially considering it’s free. Would like to see the full scorecard in landscape mode. Also why track penalty shots if they aren’t displayed anywhere, I’d like to look back and see what holes gave me the most trouble. Plus make available for iwatch

Good App could be Excellent. Don’t know how to add a golfing partner on my golf card. It was easy on the GolfNow app, now I don’t know how to do. Other than that, I love the upgrade.

No Apple Watch app. This app does not offer a Apple Watch app in order to use while playing a round like other similar apps

Bad time for competitions. With Covid, no competitions. GPS is good, accurate. Statistics are hard to get at. Would be better if I could get to statistics to see if I’m improving. Would be better if I could see monthly summaries for example.

Great for score keeping. Some holes on courses are not accurate but other than that the app is great for keeping score

Apple Watch. Having an Apple Watch interface would raise the stars on this review. Keep being told it’s coming but nothing.

Where are the stats????. What is the point of adding the amount of putts when you can’t actually see it on the scorecard when looking back.

Apple Watch. When will Apple Watch app become available? Best free gps app but needs Apple Watch component to really set it apart.

Golf App Review. Nice app to keep my scores. Keep track of HC and some data.

Separate is not always good. I hate that the app is separate from the regular golf now app. Additionally not having a watch component of the app makes it difficult to use. Last thing I want to do is carry my phone to the ball every time to get the distance.

Good but not great. Works well and what you need it for. But can’t score 9 holes and with all the analytics that it has it’s not presented well. Good app other than that

Rivieregolf. Since revising the app it’s a lot easier to use

Auburn has some crazy pin placements. Some of the pins are not super fair. Aside from that its a great place to play

Watches. You should make this compatible with Garman, Samsung and Apple Watches like the rest of the apps. It’s nice to have for GPS. That is the only negative thing about this app.

GPS location data messed up. I play Shoreline links course in Mountain View, Ca. a lot. The course map data for all PAR 3 holes are messed up. All hole locations seems to be somewhere in Gulf Mexico! Par 4 and 5 holes are fine.

Lost important feature. You can no longer add players to the scorecard. I used to keep score for everyone when we play together, now you can only keep score for yourself. I will no longer be using this app for that reason.

Not Bad. Not bad. Lots of having t exit and restart the app due to long load times.

Can’t access from watch. It would be cool that we would be able to access this from Apple watch

Looks great, bad at everything else. This app has so much potential. But the search function is terrible, it needs a map search it at least filter by current distance. And between the two courses that I logged, one had incorrect hold numbering

Great golf app. You can just keep score or as many stats as you can stand. Yardages are prefect and you can pick the distance for your landing points. Love it!$

Par 3 Holes Incorrect GPS Coordinates. All par 3 holes are way off on GPS. Some sort of mistake I guess. I liked the app overall though.

Landscape mode. Irritating that while viewing a completed round/scorecard app does not support landscape mode/view.

Gotten worse. Par 3 holes have been screwing up big time. Says we’re hitting it 10 million yards away to Africa.. some par 5’s are listed as par 3’s

Ok. Does not give distance off the tee like 18 birdies app does. Otherwise it’s ok and average I’ll keep it for now to get a better idea of handicap but otherwise going to use 18 birdies app.

Needs more work. Thanks for adding 9-hole scoring. Still waiting for GPS positioning on each hole so we can see the distance to different hazards, turns, etc. Also, why can’t we track sand shots anymore?

Needs Apple Watch Compatibility. Love the idea of the app and what it does I would just love to see it on my Apple Watch for the gps part at least.

Miserable experience so far. First course I tried it on it never did give me a gps reading. Second course all I got was an error message. Then I realized it was continuing to run in the background and sucked the life out of my battery. Uninstalled.

Doesn’t work. Keeps logging me off. Very annoying.

Regression from GolfNow app. I used the previous app almost exclusively for my GPS needs and keeping score on the course. This new app won’t allow me to see past scorecards, keep scores of other players, track putts, or track bunkers. Great UI, but really disappointing from a functional perspective.

Scorecard Display. You can track penalties as you’re playing but they don’t display on the final scorecard summary. Makes no sense.

Pretty accurate, but some holes are geographically marked on the wrong continent. Pretty accurate, but a lot of pins at multiple golf clubs in the Chicagoland area are located in Africa so it will show pin distance of 1,000,000+ yards

Edit mode for date. Ap dies not show a mode for modifying date. Or not easily found.

El Cariso Golf. For some reason it does not have this course in Slymar, when you search for it. You have to be in the vicinity to use app. You can purchase tee times but you can’t track it.

Broken?. Played a round yesterday and the GPS wouldn’t find the course. Log in today and I can’t even load my past games.

Fun round at Dubs. great app. couple of yardages were off. had trouble jumping to holes. i started on back 9. fun.

GPS Doesn’t Work Consistently. I have to close and reopen the app every hole to get gps to work. All of my other apps that use gps work fine. Tried to submit this question to tech support in the app but there is none.

Facts. No drive distance stats? Where’s the handicap feature? You made 2 apps where both are worse than the previous one, get a life

Is Apple Watch app coming ?. Having the GPS on Apple Watch during a round would be very helpful. Are you working on one ?

Crash after Crash after Crash. Sooo…no matter what you click on the app it immediately crashes out and tells you to log in.

No 9 hole scoring. This new app does have some great features to it, but the lack of 9 hole scoring brings this app to a mediocre level. If that were to get fixed, it’s a nice addition to your golf game. If you only play 18 hole rounds it’s perfect.

Reverted functionality. Can’t add golfers to your scorecard now? Losing functionality is not a feature request. Deleting and looking for an app where you can add golfers without them having an account.
