FanDuel Sports Network Comments & Reviews 2026

If I could rate a zero out of five, I would. The absolute WORST sports app. IF, and its s big if it actually works it then becomes 50/50 if the app will crash during the game 100% of the time it crashes when first loading the app. Then, the interface makes it very difficult to clearly see what sports you are selecting and the multiple screens it makes you click through if watching Pre-game, the game itself and finally the Post-game (just make all three one selection to watch). Never an error message why these crashes occurred the screen typically just stays black until you the user get frustrated and reload the app. Unfortunately my hockey/basketball/baseball teams are all only available through Bally so they have me over a barrel. all of this might be somewhat passable if the app only costs $5/month but at $20/month it’s absolutely unacceptable in this day and age of streaming. If my Detroit teams ever offer other alternatives to watch I will be jumping ship ASAP. I recommend everyone avoid this app if you have any other alternatives.

Doing well! - Few Things to Consider. The transition to Bally has gone well all things considered. From a developer standpoint there are a few issues with the app that should be patched - 1. The in screen mini picture functionality has disappeared - this is a highly useful feature that allows watchers and listeners to keep the game on while texting, looking at other apps, while driving to check directions, etc. 2. The TV service provider covers up more than it should in the upper right hand of the screen (This may only be for certain providers, I’ve only seen my own) 3. Rewind and pause ability is a key feature that many users like to utilize when they missed certain parts of a game. This has also happened when Bally flashed an interesting factoid at the bottom - wanted to rewind but it was lost in the sauce 4. Car functionality does not sync well and tends to lose connection with certain operating systems. 5. Just an opinion ~ The red is a little obnoxious. Great work. I’m sure most of these the team of developers are aware of.

Horrible. I never leave reviews, but this app is so bad that something has to be done. I used the FoxSportGo app for years with almost no issues. It worked great. The redesign and launch as the Bally Sports app has been awful. It is now the absolute worst streaming app of any kind. It never works on the Apple TV. After logging in successfully with my provider, it gives an error that there is an issue playing this video or that I’m not entitled to the context, which is not correct. On the rare occasion that it will actually load the video, it usually will not play the audio to my external speakers. And this doesn’t even get into how terrible the navigation is in the app or how it launches an ad EVERY time you try to start a video, even if you just watched the same video 30 seconds ago and had to close the stream because it froze, and the video stream freezes ALL THE TIME! It’s terrible!! You took a really solid app and ruined it!! It is now one of the worst apps in the App Store.

UPDATE - How the **** could MLB get involved in this?. After 70 minutes, working on 3 different platforms, managed to create an account and get my cable provider signed in. I am not an app developer, but I am an IT professional and this experience was awful. Unresponsive and not intuitive. (Checked my WiFi speed several times during this and it was consistently over 200 Mbps) After that it still wasn’t easy to find the game I wanted to watch or to load it once I found it. Once that was all completed, the game stream was consistent and clear, no problems with display or inserts blocking my view of the game. Really, the actual viewing experience was great, so there’s hope that they’ll continue to improve the app. Next season I’d like to contract with MLB to broadcast some games some of the time, using my iPhone 6s. I can promise better coverage and better functionality, and a better roll-out. And I’ll promise not to use a previous app’s reviews and rating to bolster my app.

Bally Sports is utter trash. This review is probably for the overall service instead of just the app. Starting more than a week ago I was unable to even open the app on my TV, phone, or login to the website to stream. Supposedly there was an update that caused major havoc. The problem I’m having with that explanation is that I pay $20 per month for the service to primarily watch the Carolina Hurricanes, and to a lesser extent the Charlotte Hornets. I live in suburban Raleigh, and until a week ago there were no issues. Now, on my TV I get errors ranging from DRM error to user token prevents streaming but ONLY on Hurricanes games. Other content loads fine. On my computer, no live game or channel streams ever load, and ONLY Hornets replays work. On my phone, nothing works as I’m continually advised that I’m not in my home area, which is clearly incorrect as all devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi. Spoken with Bally Sports support and they’re utterly useless. They actually told me to watch on whichever device works then hung up the phone.

Comically, infuriatingly awful. Wow, where to start? Let’s start with the alleged 7.0.4 update that does not seem to exist. Current version is 7.0.2, which, oddly enough, is not listed in the version history. The option to “watch live” or “start from beginning” appears alongside a LIVE FEED of the game, completely defeating the purpose of starting from the beginning, because then you’ve already seen the score. Ok, let’s say you were lucky enough to catch the live vs beginning screen during a commercial, so you haven’t seen any spoilers. Good for you, but don’t celebrate yet, because once the live game has ended, the on-demand feed will spontaneously fast-forward to the end of the game and kick you over to the postgame recap. There is no game feed to available to go back to, so you have to wait for the replay to be available after the postgame show is done. Along those lines, but in a parallel universe, the pregame show mysteriously starts itself over in the middle, instead of flowing seamlessly into the game, causing you to inadvertently miss the first 15 minutes of the game if you’re not paying attention (and of course I’m not really paying attention to the pregame show). Only nice thing I can say is that I enjoy that the replays don’t have commercials. I’m sure they’ll ruin that soon enough. I hate this app, I hate this company, but not as much as I love my hurricanes! So I deal with it. But seriously. This app is trash.

Horrible viewing experience. I downloaded to watch my home basketball team's games. Every single game regardless of how strong my wifi connection or cellular data connection is, the games are stopping every couple minutes to the point where they are unwatchable. It's not the pauses for commercials, it's buffering and thr screen goes to the logo showing the 2 teams that are playing. To even check to make sure it wasnt my service that was the issue I started watching a game on a 3rd party streaming site and my game had zero interruptions and played through the entire second quarter with no issues. I also dont like that every time it buffers, the "live odds and stats" is automatically turned back in (so it's constantly turning back on). I dont like betting on sports, I just want to watch my teams games, and there isnt even an option to disable that setting permanantly. It feels like fanduel put more of a focus on the betting aspect of their app and not providing a quality service

Can’t watch it anywhere except my phone. The only way to watch Bally sports plus is on my phone or with apple airplay. But the only tv that I have that actually has the airplay capability it won’t connect to. I have a roku on one of my TVs which is the only tv that I can actually get the Ya app on and the first time I went to play it it said something about it being out of region so I couldn’t watch it. Then the next time I tried a few days later and it said it couldn’t connect and to try again later. I wish the app was available on smart TVs. And not just the new TVs so that we are forced to go out and buy all new TVs. So far this service is very inconvenient and disappointing. It needs to be easier to access on an actual tv. I miss the days when we could just turn our tv on and pick a channel. Nowadays u have to find and pay for a streaming service, sign in, register your device and pray that you have a good enough connection to be able to watch whatever it is u want to watch. I’m pretty disappointed.

Fox Sports SW. I would like an explanation from Fox Sports why a positive “customer service” dispute with Dish TV cannot be reached? I have spoken to Dish on many occasions regarding the inability of both Dish and Fox Sports not being able to reach an agreement regarding money. Do you both honestly think this is fair to the patrons and customers who are powerless to do anything? They say they have offered a compromise that Fox will not accept. So far in Oklahoma, we have missed the whole Thunder season of viewing. A Dish tech told me Dish thought the Thunder season was going to be a bust and they did not want to subscribe any longer, just like they did with HBO. All we want are answers and to know whether there are even any negotiations going on or not to resolve this and resume coverage of our sports events!

Streaming is completely unreliable. Across all platforms (IOS, Roku, FireTV) the app is unreliable at best. I subscribed to the monthly subscription and I never had a problem logging in to any of them but as soon as I tried to watch baseball, which is the only reason I subscribed, I would get errors saying it was having trouble streaming this program and to try again later. Many times it would simply never work that day. Other days it would work for awhile and then stop again. Other days it would only work if I cast it from my phone to either the firetv or using airplay and again it wouldn’t work for very long. Other days it would only work from my phone casting in the same manner. Honestly of the 50% of the time I could get it to work I was never able to watch a game in its entirety without the service crashing, leaving me frustrated paying for a service I couldn’t use. Also worth noting is that if you ever choose to cancel or modify your subscription the ONLY way you can do that is on the exact device you purchased to subscription from. If you purchased it on a roku you’ll need to make the changes on that specific roku no matter how many other rokus or other linked devices you have. Not even Ballys customer service can cancel your subscription if it wasn’t purchased directly through them. This sounds impossible to comprehend in this day and age but I assure you this is exactly what has happened to me. I would avoid this service at all costs both in terms of the quality of the streaming and the almost comically atrocious customer support. I hate cable but I’d rather sign up for that to watch baseball than subscribe to this service.

Rarely works. I like Fox Sports so don’t get me wrong that I am a Pro ESPN guy; I’m not. I watch and listen to more sports talk on Fox than any other station. It’s just that this app is so buggy. The videos don’t play about 25% of the time. I had full bars today for WiFi and with my wireless provider but it kept popping up network error. Then it finally went thru and I clicked to watch the 1 highlight of the 1 goal in the World Cup game and it wouldn’t load, no error message, nothing. This has happened numerous times. Also, I have Directv and Sports package with all Fox sports channels but when I got on their website to watch a World Cup match it said it wasn’t in my package. That’s funny because when I turn on my TV it comes right up. Maybe they can’t handle the traffic of the WC right now IDK. Plus this app doesn’t have a friendly schedule browser, no scores, no sports schedules, it’s just strictly a video app. That is fine if the VIDEOS ACTUALLY WORK!😩

What a worthless app. I’d give this app 0 stars but I have to give it at least 1 star in order to write a review. Every time you launch this app from your iPhone or iPad it just sits frozen for 10-30 seconds until finally you see some video. Then you have to tap the small screen so you can hit the full screen icon. Meanwhile the game you want to watch is going on but this app will sit there for several minutes telling you “we’ll be right back”. This happens literally every time you launch the app. So how long do you wait? Eventually you have to give up because the video never starts, exit the app and repeat the same process and hopefully your game video will actually launch. This is by far the absolute worst streaming app out there, it is total junk. The good news is FanDuel is losing all of their NBA, MLB and NHL contracts so we won’t have to suffer much longer with this pathetic app if we want to watch our local teams. Losing your contracts and going out of business couldn’t happen to a more appropriate company and the sooner FanDuel is out of the streaming business the better for all fans.

Garbage. This app has been complete trash ever since the switch over. I miss a good half of the games I’m trying to see. As soon as it goes to commercial I know I’ll be missing at least 3 min of anything after the commercial and it comes back 5 min late so I am 5 min behind on the “Live” feed. I will have to close it completely, restart it, go through the mandatory 30 seconds of commercials to start again, reset the cast then try to get the stream to start all to be behind again in the live action. Any freeze during the game and I have to manually slide the progress bar forward to “go live” to only maybe be 3 minutes behind if I’m lucky. I’m trying to stick with it because I want to be able to “watch” my team but I’m just about done messing with it. I’ll just stick to radio and Bally’s has lost a consumer. Tried to get technical support and it took days of time to tell me to turn it off and back on and see if that works. Thanks but I’ll just stick to radio I think. Thanks for nothing Bally’s.

If I Could Give 0 Stars I Would. This app is a steaming pile of garbage that has been set on fire then dedicated on by 1,000 stray cats with intestinal issues. I do not own a cable box nor satellite or anything of that sort. I have always streamed TV, mainly live sports, using different streaming apps. Everyone of my apps works fine and has been working fine for over a year, except this piece of landfill waste put out by the Fox developers. 85% of the time the chrome cast option doesn’t even appear, and yes I reset my TV and redownload the app and check the internet connection and even turn my phone on and off, when the option works for literally 7 other streaming apps I have! Then if by some miracle this hot mess of an app lets me chrome cast the connection is jumpy and fuzzy and just a terrible overall experience. If I could create a perfect world the first thing I would do is destroy fox and the app they have created and never allow them to broadcast another sporting event!

Used to be great, now it’s complete garbage. This app was fantastic when it was Fox Sports Go. Since the transition to Balley's Sports, it has become hot trash. 1. They removed the ability to watch two games at once. 2. You used to be able to seamlessly switch back and forth between two different games, but now you’re forced to watch commercials every time you switch to a different game, regardless of whether or not there is a break in play. 3. The game randomly converts to a small screen in the upper right corner right in the middle of a game, forcing you to click on it in order to return to full screen. 4. Half the time during commercial breaks, you're forced to stare at a static Balley's home screen for 2-3 minutes. 5. The stream freezes ALL the time! You generally need to restart the app to get it going again. 6. Like a lot of people have already mentioned, the feed randomly transitions from high resolution to hardly watchable resolution for no apparent reason. This new app is an absolute joke. A complete embarrassment compared to the previous version. This company should be ashamed at what they’ve tried to pull on their viewers. Pathetic.

So bad. This is by far the worst tv and sports app out there. For starters, it has all the sudden just stopped working on my Apple TV. It won’t even open the program I try to watch. It flashes a loading screen for half a second and goes back to the home screen. Have tried everything I can to fix this including resetting the Apple TV, deleting and reinstalling the app, and everything in between. Contacted customer support about it and they were useless. Tried having me answering tech questions that I didn’t even understand and I am a tech savvy guy. It is there job to figure out the deeply technical stuff, not mine. Otherwise why would I contact you? Now, for viewing on the iPhone, oh boy. It constantly freezes, usually in the middle of the biggest plays/moments, and doesn’t work with air play no matter how you try it. This is just the worst app I have ever used. You would think for such a large broadcast corporation, Fox would get this figured out. And yes, this all still happens no matter what my internet speed is or if I’m using WiFi or LTE. I have tried everything and nothing makes a difference. It truly is a joke of an app.

December 2023 Review: This App STINKS.. I feel like it’s important to note I’ve NEVER felt wrote a review for an app in my life. I simply don’t really care that much about stuff like this. But this is legitimately the worst app I’ve ever used in my life. For starters, the only reason I even need this poverty app is because I want to watch Heat games yet on my main account it located me in a completely different area in North Florida when I live in Miami thus disabling me to watch Heat games as it doesn’t even let you change locations. Like why are they using our location to track our viewing area and then it doesn’t even work. I had to create a completely different account just to watch games. And that’s where my second problem lies. THIS APP DOESNT KEEP YOU LOGGED IN EVERRRR. Every single time I open the app I have to log into my account to watch a game. Every. Single. Time. And that’s not even the worst part. The app doesn’t even remember your TV providers login either! (Keep in mind I always click remember my login info, yet another useless feature that doesn’t work lol) Do you know how annoying it is that I’m just trying to go onto the app and click the game and start watching it (LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPETENT APPLICATION) and it asks me for my account login and then my TV provider log in every time? Who coded this app a toddler?? Don’t even download this guys, I promise I’m saving you time and patience. No wonder the Bally Sports owner filed for bankruptcy, can’t even get their app to work.

Very Unorganized Layout. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because once you find the game you want, the app is actually doing what it should. Countless issues with the biggest being the navigation or layout of the app in finding games... it should be extremely easy to fire up the app and click the game to watch I know is about to start. But no. I spend at least a few very frustrating minutes searching for the game that starts right now only to find it 3/4 down the page and after many clips or games that aren’t starting for hours or even days or even replays. Very unorganized layout. Apps and TV networks have been making guides for decades and it should be very simple to make the app functionally to find games as good if not better then the former Fox. Or at the very least, anything starting in the next hour should be at the immediate forefront of the app when you fire it up. PLEASE FIX THIS!!! Also the app is very buggy still and games just go black in error at least a couple times each time

Worst streaming platform. I am a huge thunder fan and can only watch most of their games on this app which is crazy that I have to pay $190 to watch the nba champs. If you aren’t live with the game when it ends, it kicks you off and you have to guess what happened at the end of the game. You can’t go back and watch the rest of the game from where you paused it at. The re-air is usually an hour later after it ends. You have to wait for the re-air to watch what you missed. And even then you have to wait until it gets back to that part. It doesn’t work like every other streaming platform where if you pause it, you can pick back up where you left off. I’ve contacted customer support about this and the agent I got didn’t read my messages. This was the agent I got to after the bot I had to deal with. Absolutely terrible platform that I’m stuck dealing with to watch the thunder play.

BALLY/DIRECTV STREAMING. I am very upset with both Bally Sports Florida and DIRECTV STREAMING. I have been trying for 3 nights to get the Tampa Bay rays games on my television, each of the three nights I have done with instructions exactly the way I was told by the BALLY customer service person and he also informed me that I would not have to go through this another time as it would be an automatic thing when I signed on to watch the games. Well, that does not happen! I am still not able to get onto watch the games when they come on. It’s bad enough that we can’t watch the games through the regional or local programming as we always have been able to because of this blackout that MLB has imposed upon our area. If I can’t get help opening the link to get to the Tampa Bay rays games, I will cancel my DIRECTV streaming. I am not dealing with these cute little tricks if the MLB seems to think they should do! Please have someone get in touch with me so I can get this straightened out before the game comes on tonight. I am tired of putting in a login and password each time I have to each time I go onto the Bally Sports to get the game. If I don’t hear from you by the end of the day,I will cancel the DIRECTV and take my chances with watching games the games

Best mobile T.V. App for iPhone I’ve tried.. This is the best T.V. App I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot of them. It’s better than NBC’s, CBS’s, ABC’s and History Channel’s. I used it to watch the ALDS while walking outside. I was able to rewind and pause the game. The closed captioning worked well and my favorite thing was being able to pause the game to let it get ahead and then skip past the commercials (please don’t change this option, I HATE that on the bigger stations apps you have to sit through the commercials and if you try to skip ahead then you have to watch another set of commercials!!!) The only negative was that sometimes it would stop sometimes or get fuzzy occasionally but I don’t know if that was the app or my network buffering. But I do recommend this app. You do need to log in with your cable provider or buy a subscription (if this is an option) though to use this app.

Great app high quality. I love this app to death! I’m a huge Timberwolves fan. Well, at one point in time that wasn’t the case. I would follow the Timberwolves, you know, check the box scores and ask real fans how they would do on any given night. I was that “fan”... until this app came stumbling into my life. Now I can watch and do watch them on a very regular basis due to the notifications and the overall ease of use of this app. Now, I’m not sure how you feel about Fox as a whole, but they do sports and they do it well. Especially, in the new era. Where other companies, not to name any names *coughs NBC* have struggled in this area Fox has embraced it and did the ground work necessary to make it work. A lesson to every one out there nothing good comes without hard work. Another side note I love the World Cup and this app kept me so stupidly connected to the World Cup that all my soccer fan friends couldn’t believe the amount of ridiculous info I would spit at them. In an age where you can feel so easily left out because you didn’t catch this or didn’t catch that. This app eases the FOMO that we all hatefully and in my opinion unnecessarily experience on a daily basis. Thank you Fox or what ever third party you hired. Keep up the good work, who knows maybe I’ll give Fox News a chance. Hmm... Maybe I’ll just stick to sports for now!

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” - Me. Over the course of time, the importance of updating and making new user experiences on applications is generally a pretty good thing. Some companies make their apps easier to use, some add more features and some revamp their apps to be more innovative. Sometimes, the consistent chase of innovation takes something that was good and makes it absolutely horrible. This is the case for the Bally Sports app. In the past, the app was simple, easy to use, never logged you out of neither your account (which was not needed before) nor your TV provider. With the new version of the app, launched about a year or so ago, the end user has been gifted with constant log outs and a much more difficult platform to watch the sports we’re all here for. I hope that eventually this gets fixed because the previous version wasn’t broken, so why’d we have to fix it with something significantly worse.

Can’t believe this is a paid app. This is the glitchiest, crappiest app I’ve ever attempted to use. Imagine the greed it takes FanDuel to have the audacity to collect unimaginable amounts of money from sports fans and then use unpaid high school interns to design their app. I often have to uninstall the app to watch a game, I have yet to turn the app on and not be told “this event has ended” from a game I was watching 3 days ago, with no way to exit that screen and watch the currently playing game. If the TV app is non functioning and you try to cast from your phone, guess what? It’s impossible to cast from your phone and start the game from the beginning, you have to watch live. Even though you can rewind when watching on your phone and you have the option to watch from beginning on the app. But if the FanDuel universe smiles favorably on you and you manage to go through the entire install and log in process and get to the game, don’t you dare get behind the live game time because when the game ends your cast ends and the replay version isn’t available right away. Oh and just for kicks the preshow, game, and post show are all separate streaming events. And when there’s a commercial break you get to listen to mind numbing repetitive background noise of people cheering and clapping at a game that will make you want to take a hockey puck to the face. Anyway Go Wild.

Incredible App if You Like Not Watching Things. I have never used an app that makes me reconnect my account every single time I open it, you would think with all the nickel-and-diming they're pulling that they would have a decent product, but no. They don't. I "watch" hockey and have to turn my tv off at least once a period because it freezes up on the broadcast, I've missed at least a full game or two's worth of play which is exactly what I was hoping for going in to this season. Don't let the one star rating make you think there's anything redeeming about this app, I'd give it a negative one million stars if i could Edit: in all seriousness the app freezes or quits every ~20 minutes requiring re-activation of the device that has already been registered each time the app has been opened, if yall are going to have a multi-year deal to the rights you might as well hire a team to fix this because doing nothing for this long has to be getting old or boring or something

Torpedoed the app. This used to be a pretty good streaming platform for watching sports. This latest “update” has completely torpedoed this app. None of the events load right the first time, although it’ll of course play the two 15 second ads before telling me it failed to play the show/event (priorities, amirite?). I also have to log in every single time I close the app and open it again. And if the stream gets behind due to buffering or if I pause it, there is no “live tv” or “catch up” button, or even a way to fast forward, so I have to either exit out of the app and sign in AGAIN or use the slider at the bottom of the screen, which only allows me to fast forward a certain amount before it stops my fast forwarding and forces me to watch 30-45seconds of ads. As-is, this app is unusable and I’m forced to stream through some illegal streaming site, even though I pay for this privilege through directv.

Note for those combing your DirecTV with your AT&T internet. I use this app constantly throughout baseball and basketball season to watch all the games of my local professional sports teams. Well, my AT&T internet was combined with the DirecTV in a package and that made it to where now there’s an issue where this app (so far the only one I’ve discovered). It can not register that you’re a DirecTV customer with AT&T internet. If you try logging in with your DirecTV credentials through the DirecTV sign in, does not work. Try the AT&T log in, takes you through another log in but ultimately does not work. Even tried the AT&T ID and I received "We are sorry, but you are not authorized to access this web site. Please verify you are authorized and re-enter your User ID and Password. Which I expected because I'm trying to use DirecTV not Uverse. I've tried and tried and tried to get it to work but it just doesn't work anymore. I used this app literally daily but now I can't get it to work at all. If the developer is reading this, would it not be easier to allow the app to communicate with our TV provider we signed into through our iPhone settings? Other TV apps do this and I don't even have to log in. It just asks if I would like to allow the app to use my TV provider and then I'm able to watch without having to log in again. Long story short, you may have issues if you do the same and if you use this app, it probably will no longer work for you. Unless they update or fix it of course.

I wish I could rate this app 0 stars. I wish I could rate this app 0 stars, it is so infuriating! Despite having an account and connecting my TV provider to said account, every single time I open the app I must sign in again and reconnect my TV provider, an issue that no other streaming apps seem to have. 75% of the time the video quality is so poor, glitching and delayed audio, an aspect of sports viewing I consider pretty important. It’s a shame that Bally is the only streaming service that carries the teams I follow, because I would certainly be switching to the competitors if I could. In addition, the SAME five commercials are constantly on repeat in the exact same order every intermission. I understand this is not fully in the network’s control but for someone who watches lots of sports, a little variety or even a switch up in the order would go a LONG way. I don’t understand why they don’t have the money to hire a decent software engineer to spend an hour and fix these issues, seems like no other streaming service has any of these problems!

Very Buggy. This app is filled with bugs. It seems to constantly rewind and then replay content I’ve already seen while watching a live stream. I have to close and re-open the app to get close to live content, and then this issue commonly comes up yet again. It happens so often it makes the app almost unusable to watch my favorite sports teams. The live steaming feed also freezes often. It randomly lost the mini-screen feature, which was very helpful for multitasking while using my phone. When I read an article about one of my teams in the app, it frequently brings me back to the top of the article, forcing me to scroll back down to find my spot, only to have this happen multiple times again before I can finally finish the article. It’s obvious that Bally Sports doesn’t have the relationships that Fox Sports had, as the same ads come up every time I watch my favorite team. These ads have not changed during the entire MLB season, thus far. The Fox Sports app was a greatly superior experience.

Not worth the crazy price. For context, I live in the PNW but I purchased Bally Sports+ to watch the Atlanta Hawks, exclusively. I share the account with my brother (account owner) who lives in Atlanta. First off, $200/year is a crazy high price tag for any streaming service. Not to mention that this high price ONLY gives you access to regional sports teams. However, I subscribed anyways because I love the Hawks but boy do I regret it. I have used the app to watch Hawks games for a couple of months until it recently started restricting my access to Hawks games because I’m not in the right location. Why does this matter when: 1) the official account owner lives in Atlanta, and 2) you charge $200 for the service? I tried getting an answer from the customer care team but they were no help as I found myself explaining the same thing over and over. It’s an unbelievably high price for how limited the viewing options are. To charge the HIGHEST PRICE OUT OF ALL STREAMING SERVICES, Bally should at least let you watch your team’s games out of state, especially when the account owner lives in the required area. I love the Hawks and love the Bally broadcast, but I will never renew my subscription because of these limitations. The only reason I subscribed in the first place was because I’m a die hard hawks fan. Without that, what little value there was to justify such a high price is gone.

Never connects with Spectrum. I pay for Spectrum cable and NBA League Pass and yet I still can’t watch games. I’m currently in Maryland trying to watch the Cavs. NBA app says I have to watch it on FanDuel sports network (so why do I have to pay $180 for league pass??). I go to the FanDuel sports network app and the first time I try to link my Spectrum account I get error ELI-1025 saying I’ve tried too many times and need to wait 30 minutes. Which is apparently an error everyone gets all the time, even when trying to sign in for the first time ever. Having to pay for multiple subscriptions all over the place and still not being able to watch games is the most frustrating experience imaginable. And of course Spectrum says it’s not on their end and the FanDuel Sports Network app has no customer support. Well done, FanDuel. The only bright spot in all of this is that I at least don’t have to see 47 commercials advertising same game parlays so FanDuel can maki billions more in profits to not fix this app.

Unusable again this MLB season. Update after update and this app still won’t let me watch either of the channels I pay for! Easily the most clueless customer support and the worst app I’ve ever tried to use!!! I had no issues for 7 years when this app was “Fox Sports GO” and the App Store should have reset the reviews when it switched to Bally Sports. This is Bally’s third season of MLB coverage and it's still riddled with bugs. I’m logged in with my cable provider and in the app I can see the 2 channels I pay for (and can watch at home) from that provider. Yet somehow every time I’m away from home and want to watch a game, I select either of those channels to stream a game and I get the same error message “Your cable provider has indicated that you do not have access to this content. Please contact your cable provider to confirm your subscription details.” …. It’s literally impossible and so aggravating!!!! Calling Bally Customer Support gets me nowhere. Exhausting.

Truly disappointing. I’ve never written a review before, but I felt obligated after my ongoing experience with Bally Sports. Since they took over for Fox Sports, I’ve seen a cataclysmic decline in service, connectivity, customer service, and overall viewing experience. The app didn’t work on my XBox One (I logged out and logged in 3 times, uninstalled the app, powered off, and every other problem solving solution I could think of, and customer service was no help either). I was finally able to access it on my Roku and when there was 4 seconds left of the Pacer game tonight, it cut out because the program had a run time from 7:00-9:30. Mins you, this is not the first time Bally’s has left a bitter taste in my moth. As I mentioned before, ever since they took over for Fox Spirts last year, this kind of situation has happened more often than not. If anyone from Bally’s happens to read this, I implore you, take the time to put out a quality product, instead of this haphazard app that leaves myself, and countless friends and family members scratching their heads and asking, why!?

Can’t even tell what type of sport you’re watching. By far the worst of the sports viewing apps. It’s great if it is working, but that is usually around only 25% of the time. The other 75% is a mixture of black screens, frozen screens, and video quality that is so pixilated you can’t even tell what type of sport you’re even watching, let alone what is happening. The app will seemingly randomly drop resolution from normal to unwatchable when there is absolutely no change in connectivity and even regularly when your connection increases (i.e. from 3 bars to 5). It’s almost as if they put in the rewind function because they know that you’ll never be watching a game live if you actually want to see it. Don’t be fooled by the relatively high rating (3.1 stars as of this writing) the only positive reviews are about the quality of the content of the app (the amount of games and sports available to watch on FS go) and not the quality of the app itself, which is horrendous. Maybe they just don’t care because they know they have exclusive TV rights to most of their content so you physically can’t go elsewhere to watch games, because this app is atrocious. Sometimes my iPhone will even lock in the app as it freezes for so long and doesn’t make any attempt to unfreeze itself lest you exit out and start the video again. Please make changes soon as I pay for the ability to watch the World Cup but can usually only get about 20-30 minutes of a 90+ minute match.

One of the best sports apps!. I primarily use the FOXSports App to watch Yankee Games. Unlike some other sports app FOXSports App allows u to pause, rewind n Fast Fwd live TV, which I like a lot. It is also very quick to load n I’ve never experienced buffering or any sort of server overload. I also like that u can access all 3 FOXSports Apps via the drop down menu n all FOXSports channels within the App. Transferring back n forth is quick n easy. The highlights tab is great n covers everything I want with ease. The future TV/App listings built into the home page is perfect. All-in-all the functionality of the App is better than most n super easy to use. I rate the App overall with a 5/5 stars by itself n in comparison to all other sports apps it’s definitely one of the best! I highly recommend it for watching Yankee games live and replays from the past. -r

You will NOT be able to watch most games. Every weekend, SEVERAL games are missing. I watch the Cardinals and pay close to $100/month for Fubo (which carries Bally Sports Midwest). It will air around 65-75% of games, and the rest never appear. Fubo points back to Bally Sports, and Bally Sports points back to Fubo. They both blame eachother. So what can we do? Try to warn others about the scam. The Bally Sports app chat/customer service first told me they don’t carry the Cardinals (huh???) then they said to reinstall the app (wait, I thought they didn’t carry Cardinals games!) then they copied and pasted a worthless and strange stock response of “sorry you’re having trouble accessing the app!” . Then they said “Have a great day!”. Wow. Impressively bad. Canceling, and I will be switching to MLB TV. If the response to this review is “sorry you’re having trouble! Please contact our customer service” after the useless customer service I just mentioned above, you will know that bots are running both.

Mid all around. 1. The price, the monthly price to me is too steep with the amount of content you get and the quality of the app, let alone the amount of advertisements you are still forced to watch as well as thrown into the app on top of what is part of the broadcast ads. 2. When the app works it’s fine, but often enough there are bugs which shouldn’t happen at this price. Often enough the live stats will be locked onto the screen and you can’t remove unless you restart the app. Or you can’t click on anything when the stream is live and again you have to restart. 3. It’s not all that intuitive, it’s a very bland looking app that looks like it was done quickly to start collecting our money. There’s not an easy way to watch two games at once or easily swap between NBA and NHL if both of your teams are playing at the same time. If you are watching a stream and want to swap it takes 8 taps/swipes to get to the other game, that’s totally unnecessary. Make a true Picture in Picture option, that seems reasonable, YouTubeTV has figured that out.

David. Thank you for being there for us sports fans who want just sports unlike ESPN who wants to inject politics as I’m one of those who has deleted everything and I refuse to support them in any way. I really wasn’t spending much time on your app but what a mistake and same with radio and TV I have grown to love your work, your mindset and the men and women you have working for your company. Again, thank you for sports and if I g those of us a break from all the real stuff in life and just sports and some fun to get away from life’s real things. No deal with dying human beings everyday and so when I say what I say it’s as real as anything, I work with ALS human beings daily and for all of you who do not appreciate or understand how lucky we all are with our health and the gift of life, trust me it is hardcore and at times I have no words for how blessed we all are. Thank you Fox for everything

Brutal app. This app disappoints me every time I try to use it. And I’m not trying to execute complex features. I’m just expect it to stream what I want to watch but literally every time I try to watch something I have one problem or another. And I’m not taking about the annoying commercials that are played when I start a stream (which is annoying when you have to start the same stream multiple times a showing due to the app not working). I’m taking about simple things like navigation. It constantly gets stuck not letting me nave to the right. Or the stream stopping and asking me to retry (and when yes the commercial starts back up). Seriously. I just want to watch the game and not have to use my remote to interact with the app to make that work. Also have seen times where it will jump back and play the same 10 seconds it just played before throwing an error asking me to retry. Really bad quality software that I was hoping would improve over time but has actually gotten worse.

2 issues. I had to make this 5 stars because my 1 star review wouldn’t go through. Hmm 1. Lately I’ve been having to sign in again almost every time I open the app. 2. An old problem that seemed to be solved with a previous update has once again started with the latest update: when signing in with DirectTV, it won’t accept a userID. It will only accept an email address, which DirectTV doesn’t use anymore. Again, this very annoying problem from last year seemed to be fixed but has started again. Last year it was only a problem on the app and would work on the website on a pc, but I haven’t checked the website yet this time around. Please fix this, as this is the only way I get to watch the Cardinals!!

“Upcoming”. The times for the games (Detroit Tigers) aren’t accurate on the “Upcoming” row. Today, 5/8/25, the “Alexa” said the double header would start at 3:00 pm EST. So at 2:30 pm EST we opened the Fanduel app and only Detroit Tigers game on the “upcoming” row was for 6:00. Nothing was there about EST OR MTN time or anything about it being the double header or the regularly scheduled game. So I assumed the DH would start at 6:00 EST because the game was in Colorado and there’s a 3hr time difference from Michigan. Then, just happened to open the app at 5:00 pm EST (to check the upcoming list) and the game was on live and already in the 8th inning! This isn’t the first game time that we’ve missed because the “upcoming” list isn’t up to real time. I mean come on! My mom is 88 yr old and can’t even get a decent game time schedule that she can rely on. If there’s more we need to know please let me know, but I feel like the Fanduel Sports Network app is NOT User friendly and does not post a realtime game schedule. Have missed most of the games and I thought having Fanduel sports network would keep me in the game.

Piece of Garbage (All Platforms). This is likely the most frustrating hunk of junk app I’ve ever used. Ideally, I would use the Bally app on the Firestick to stream games for my Dallas-area sports teams, but it’s junk on that platform. I installed it on my XBox. That too is a no go, complete junk. So as a last resort, I thought I’d try the iOS app and cast it to the Chromecast. Nope, that doesn’t work either. Since Bally’s took this over from Fox Sports, it’s been nothing but extreme frustration. I’ve streamed games for my Dallas-area teams almost daily for quite some time using the Fox Sports Go app which wasn’t perfect, but I could at least watch games without constant annoyance. This Bally’s app is simply terrible; the interface is confusing, the game streams constantly fail with unhelpful error messages, there are random crashes, and the tech support is just standard regurgitated babble. The worst part is there is no other source for streaming these games. Maddening!

Works For Me. Not sure how some fans with FanDuel Sports are having issues but I suppose it depends on their region. This app and the tv app has worked for me all season to watch my Minnesota Wild plus the Minnesota Frost. Since Xfinity came to an agreement with the networks again, I was not going to pay extra to watch this channel so subscribing to the network directly was my best option and it’s worked for me this hockey season. A few things I’d like to see to the app in a new update is news and scores tabs / pages / notifications get added in. The app is alright as it is but it would be cool to see articles from the people who work at the network just like ESPN, FOX Sports, theScore etc. When it was Bally Sports, there was news content for fans so I’d like to see that come back. Game and score notifications should be added into this app as well to make the experience good. Anyway I’m satisfied with FanDuel Sports Network and hope to see them keep growing 👏🏼🏒🚨 Also in a new update that would make the streaming better is to not exit out of the channel after the pregame and event itself. It’s a hassle to have that happen. Keep the feed going

Never fails to fail. The only reason I even got this app was because they do not broadcast the Dallas maverick games on local channels or cable. If I ever have to step away and want to push pause on the app, when I hit unpause, it never fails to tell me that there is a connection error, and I have to close the app entirely. When I re-open the app, it catches me up to the live point of the game which ruins it for me cause I like to watch every second of my games. The only reason I even have this app is just to watch the Mavs and this app constantly crashes on me. There there are several times where I’m watching the game live and it restarts the game for me out of nowhere. This app is a big spoiler for fans like me. I try to watch the games real time. Especially when I pause the game because when I come back, I fully expect to pick up where I left off. And if the app crashes, then I should still be able to pick up where I left off. This is very frustrating for a fan like me.

Literally the worst app ever created.. Congrats to the geniuses brought on to take over Fox Sports and find a way to put out THE WORST app and service ever seen in sporting history! The ONLY thing that works consistently are the ads. I have to reboot my Apple TVs whenever I want to watch a new game the next day or switch to something else, the app randomly becomes unresponsive regularly, the sound is extremely low EXCEPT for ads, the layout is horrendous, left and right selection often stops working which requires a reboot, starting games from beginning NEVER works so I end up seeing the score late in the game despite my selection, the ability to forward or rewind often stops working, and somehow it will double the audio feed creating an echo that also requires a full reboot of my device. So seriously, congratulations for making history. Your dev team should all be banned from ever publishing any apps or web services again. Clean house. Do it immediately and hire actual professionals ASAP. It’s infuriating that these people make millions of dollars and cannot put out a basic functioning app in 2022. Jesus Christ.

How is it worse than the Fox Sports App?. This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to review any app, but that’s how garbage this throng is. I always thought the Fox Sports Go app was clunky, but this takes that clunkiness, doubles down on it, and adds unnecessary commercials for some reason. I already pay for the content; why do I have to watch an additional two ads every time I start a new game? I especially love the low-res quality of the Verizon MLB commercial. They’ve also lost the multi-game view; not sure why they cut that. But I think my favorite feature is how the app assumes that a game is over at its scheduled ending date – so at the three-hour mark of every baseball game, you get the “your game is over screen,” essentially. The game thankfully continues to play in a PIP window (HERE they’re able to manage PIP), but it’s kind of annoying to have to click to make it full-screen again. Just weird decisions all around.

The latest version released a week or two ago is horrible. The latest major update to this app that was released one to two weeks ago is causing nothing but headaches. Before this latest update, for the past 2-3 years after it transitioned from Fox sports regional networks everything was great. I signed into the app with my provider & everything worked. Since this last update at the end of October/start of November, I have to sign in every time I want to watch an event. Bally sports is forcing even their cable subscribers to create a separate Bally’s account & then sign in with the provider. There have been multiple evenings where I can’t even watch anything even after creating a bally’s account & signing in with my provider. Either their systems go down or streaming video is not working….nothing but excuses. It’s clear because of Bally’s/diamond sports ongoing economic issues with the network it is now interfering with streaming sporting events. I can’t help but hope that Bally’s ceases to exist over the coming months & give back the rights of games back to their respective leagues & teams. Our governments decision to block ESPN/Disney from taking over Fox sports regional networks during fox’s specific tv divisions sale is backfiring.

No idea what they are doing. Just about every app out there keeps you logged in on your phone. Not Bally’s. I have to enter my email address manually and grab my password from the vault. They did finally fix that feature where you also had to log into your TV provider every time you logged in. I guess that is how they earn their one obligatory star that we have to give them if we rate them at all. The next problem is new and seems to be from one of their updates. It no longer works with Chromecast. I can connect to the Chromecast, and it can put the Bally logo on the TV, but it won’t play the game on the TV. If I click on the app, it says that it is connected, but there is no media selected…despite clicking the casting button directly from the game I want to watch. There is no option given to select media, just an option to disconnect. I called customer service on this issue and they acted like I was crazy..”the Bally Sports app has never worked with Chromecast” Weird…how was I watching it all those times before??? This wasn’t my first interaction with customer service. My first was an ordeal trying to reset my password. I’d click on the reset button and it would say “we have sent you a password reset email.”…they in fact DID NOT send a reset email. They first said that the issue was my TV provider…even though this is a totally separate account…this sounded laughable, but I humored them and called up Spectrum. Me and the Spectrum customer service had a laugh about that one and talked a bit about how terrible Bally Sports is at pretty much everything. Next they blamed my email service…nope. The only solution that they could make work was to start a whole new account with a totally different email address. Now I know that not all of this review is about the app, but the way that this company is run is messed up from top to bottom and all subdivisions in between. It doesn’t seem like anyone knows what they are doing. No wonder they are falling apart.

Not working. We pay for Directv which h Carries the brewers and buck. We are away and trying to stream the game. It keeps coming up that and error occurred and please contact Bally sports if it’s wrong. I have now three times. They told me the weather is impacting my ability to stream from wifi and cellular. I replied saying that is impossible as it was sunny and 75 and that doesn’t impact wifi and cellular in the first place.. they proceeded to ignore my follow up. I submitted a request the next day asking as I still had the same response when trying to watch. They told me it must not be the right package (I’ve been using the app for months on my phone to watch so clearly I have the right package) or to try a different device. In my request I said I tried to use multiple devices, brewers, laptop and phone, and nothing works. I responded telling them this and again received no response. I have now submitted a third response in hopes they finally listen when I tell them there is something wrong on their end giving us access to the content. Really wish they could have fixed this long ago. They charge and arm and a leg for the content we love and can’t even fix it when something goes wrong. I am extremely disappointed in this interaction and service. This is unacceptable.

Nothing works. I wish there was at least 1 good thing to say about this app- but there isn’t. Most of the time the stream buffers every couple of seconds, half the time content that I should not be blacked out on is region locked for me. Because Bally Sports is too lazy to make a native app for Samsung Smart TVs I am forced to AirPlay to my TV, which doesn’t work half the time. The other half that it does has an insane amount of sound issues. For 1, when you first AirPlay to your tv the audio is basically at the lowest possible setting. So you turn the volume up, only for the volume to randomly start playing at an extremely loud level that easily causes noise damage. On top of that commercials play at at least 3x the DB of your regular content. And please don’t get me started about the actual UX of the app, which I suspect was designed by a blind 73 year old. This has to be hands down the worst app on the App Store, so bad in fact I’m not sure how it passes Apple’s minimum standards.

“Sports don’t stop. Streaming shouldn’t either.” AARRGH!!. I couldn’t agree more but this app is guaranteed to freeze up throughout the game. On a positive note, the app finally broadcasts to my Google Chromecast; however, it freezes up more on Chromecast than when I am watching it on my iPad. Forget watching on a laptop. I login, select the game and watch the “spinning wheel of death” indefinitely. Lastly, games don’t transition to postgame shows. They just start over forcing one to exit and select the postgame show - already in progress. I’m guessing the inconsistency of this app, as the various reviews demonstrate, are a symptom of why this company is in bankruptcy rather than a result of the bankruptcy. Unfortunately, I do not have a viewing alternative … yet.

Not renewing as content is getting less and less.. We have purchased the Bally App for 3 years now to watch games/matches in the Central Florida area and we will not renew. The app does not work, meaning it will not allow you to view games/matches due to either restrictions or it may just not work that day. The availability of games is getting more and more limited, so you will not be able to airplay or in some cases view the games with the app. Although this is more cost effective than other options, like most less expensive options there is a catch and less games and some major inconvenience is the catch. When the app works and all the stars align, it is great! Just take in mind that will not always be the case, so if you want to watch every game of your favorite team, this is not the best option.

From 5 Stars to Negative 5 stars. Fox Sports GO was the best sports app!! BUT they decided to be fancy and now you no longer can watch replays of your favorite sports debate shows, it redirects you to the original “Fox Sports Go” app and won’t allow you to watch replays. You can only watch live content. Yes, the streaming for the live content plays very well with little to no buffering but most people can’t watch Undisputed or The Herd because they have to work, at my job I can still watch these shows live but I loved how I could wait till my lunch break to watch a replay of an earlier telecast. FOX sometimes less is better. I’m hoping you you allow users to watch replays of an old show on the fox sports app very soon or many people will jump permanently to ESPN, at least ESPN you can rewind/fast forward or watch a show anytime and anywhere

Horrible app, canceling subscription. Frequently have to close the app and restart. Loads nothing at all in the app often. Captions are somehow defaulted on even though they’re not selected. To disable you have to turn them on then turn them off. Playing this with AirPlay to a TV is a joke, don’t waste your time. This just flat out isn’t worth my $20 a month anymore. Way too frustrating to have to deal with a steaming that isn’t reliable. Can’t wait until people realize all these streaming plans and apps are a joke and cable becomes the better option again. Sign up for 12 things per month to watch what you want! Good riddance, this was the only one I had and now I’m at zero. I’m sure I’ll be more pleasant with this garbage gone.

Good with some Glitches. Commercials are short! I really like how you can join an event live or watch from the beginning an event that’s already started. However, sometimes the audio gets mixed up and you hear both the beginning audio and current audio at the same time. Exiting out of the video player and restarting usually fixes the problem. I mainly use this for the World Cup, and appreciate the highlights in addition to live play. However, several of the highlights (over half!) don’t work when you hit play - neither the video or audio, even though it shows it’s playing in the progress bar.

Missing Features and More Ads!. It’s not cool to get an app refresh and have missing features. The Fox Sports Go app had the ability to do Picture in Picture, not this version. Also, now you have to watch 2 ads before you start streaming any game/show, not so with the old Fox Sports Go App. And make sure you start pregame shows in a “channel” so that it will auto continue into the actual game. Found that out the hard way when the pregame show restarted, making me miss the first part of the game. The old Fox Sports Go app would just continue into the game from the pregame show without you having to worry about it. The streaming quality is fine with the Apple TV, but the ipad/iPhone version keeps freezing the game after 10/15 minutes, making me having to restart the game and have to watch those 2 ads again. Please bring back the PnP and stop forcing more ads on us!

Best sports app by far for iPad. Ive never reviewed an app but I had to thank you guys.. I've always had ESPN and nbc sports apps and have no liked many features you guys took everything I didn't like and fixed it. You can replay all events and not have commercials, you can fast forward or rewind, you have clips and you can start at beginning or live viewing (ESPN can't fast forward, deletes most their shows day after) (NBC too many commercials and not a lot of replay options) Best sports app ever thank you now get some more important sports events so I only have to watch you guys thanks

Great when it actually works. When it works properly, it’s great. I regularly have to sign into my Bally Sports account which then makes me sign into my tv provider account. And when I say regularly, I mean 9 out of 10 times. It’s extremely frustrating. Then there are days like today where I do all that, but cannot watch my game. I go through all the steps and I get a screen that claims my device is activated, but then sends me back to the login screen where I have to enter my credentials again. I cannot watch my game because it is an infinite loop. I tried my Apple TV, my iPhone, my iPad, and even went directly onto the website with no luck. A huge network shouldn’t have a problem like this for this long. It’s been going on for roughly 3 years now.

App is trash now. Fox Sports Go worked great. Special thanks to your developers coming in and ruining something that worked perfectly. That takes a special brand of talent. Stutters every 15-20 seconds and freezes up during EVERY single force commercial (since it doesn’t just show you the commercials that are on live tv, they have to force feed you commercials for their other crap apps instead.) I have to stop casting, reload the app, reload the stream, and cast again between EVERY SINGLE INNING. Absolutely pathetic. Also, if the game runs longer than the allotted time (which happens frequently in baseball) , then I can’t watch anymore. Since the app thinks the game is over, you can’t load back into the stream. It only shows the next days game in the games list.

Good!-would like couple of changes. I really like the app but would like to see a couple of improvements. First I realize it’s a video app but when I am busy with work or just on the move listening through headphones if I put my IPhone to sleep so I can place the phone in my pocket or just to save battery life & still listen to audio the app pauses or closes the game I am listening to. Also as some others have pointed out the white box on the screen with cable operators name is twice the size it needs to be. Reduce the box in half length wise & and the cable companies name would still fit without reducing size of the letters.

Always spoils the game. This app works great if you watch the game live. However, when you want it to start from the beginning it always goes to live first for a few seconds. I have gotten use to this. I turn my volume all the way down and wait for about 10 seconds before looking at the screen. However, sometimes it decides to just skip right back to live and spoil whatever is being watched. Also, be weary about pausing the game because you are not likely going to pick up where you left up. Please fix these glitches. Why wouldn’t everything immediately load at the beginning of the game and and then if the viewer chose to watch the game live to skip forward? This just does not make sense and continually ruins games after games.

5 stars for iPhone version but not for firetv version. The iPhone version is absolutely excellent. No complaints. And while it may not be relevant I would like to take this opportunity to share how frustrating the firetv version is do to the fact you can’t fast forward but 10 seconds at a time, but usually it’s so laggy that 10 second jump takes about 12 seconds.... Get greedy and push fast forward to many times trying to skip ahead? You’ll pay for your greed when the app crashes and you end up back at the home screen and you get to start the game back at the beginning.

Bally doesn’t care. Bad app designs on all of their device apps. I’ll write the other app reviews in the appropriate places. This app needs you to log in again nearly every day. It also does not run in the background, so if you get a phone call or message while watching anything, prepare to basically restart the app and search for your show again. This means if you are watching a game replay and check a text message, you have to restart the app, find the replay video, and search for the time in the replay where you left off. For all the ridiculous amount of money Bally makes, it’s insane that their app is this poorly designed and user-unfriendly. Bally is one of those “you need us more than we need you” companies. Unfortunately, that is true, and I have no other choice but pay them monthly to watch my local team games.

Better than expected. I didn’t expect much from this app, just wanted to be able to catch my regional NHL team’s games while away from home. They are always available and I’ve never had a problem with connection or quality with a good data or wi-fi source. I can even cast from the app to my TV which is a great plus. Allows me to also catch regional NBA games and college basketball. Occasionally I will get a black screen when pressing play after pausing or losing signal, but it is easily fixed by completely closing out and restarting the app and doesn’t happen enough to bother me. None of the issues with blackouts that you get with ESPN either.

Ok about 65% of the time. I appreciate being able to watch my hometown team through the app but the live stream is iffy most of the time. And if you try to watch a “replay” at some point in almost every game the app will just go back to the very beginning of the broadcast. I have no idea why it does this but since you can jump through videos you’re only option is to hold the fast forward button for 5 minutes to try and get back to where you were. Most of the time though, once it jumps back to the beginning of the broadcast it’s just gonna keep doing it over and over no matter where you fast forward to. I usually end up giving up after spending 15 minutes fast forwarding to where I was 3 times over.

This app is a waste of space. I must not be watching the same sports as the people who think this app is amazing. I have tried multiple times on multiple occasions to watch a game they advertise as having available and I have yet to have success watching anything. Either it cannot authenticate my service provider or it gives me a black screen. One person who left a review said that all the haters are spoiled. Sorry. If an app promises to do one job and can’t manage to do that one job then I don’t think we are all spoiled. It would be perfectly understandable if there were a few glitches during a game. Frustrating sure, but understandable considering this is a live stream. But when you can never get the app to do the one job it is supposed to do (show you a live feed of the sporting event you want to watch), then that is a problem. I think it’s time for some major updates and improvements to this app.

Trash. This app is ABSOLUTELY terrible. It constantly crashes during games and the audio is always in and out. Oh and you have to remember to start trying to get the app to open about 20-30 minutes before the game actually starts since you will probably have to log in and out multiple times but don’t worry you will always get to watch an ad before it tells you you are not logged in or you have no internet connection when all your other devices are working just fine, or that there is an error playing the stream or it just crashes. I’m really really thankful that I get to pay for the privilege of using this app. Basically if you have any other options of watching your favorite teams play, even if it’s more expensive it will be worth it if you can avoid using this app.

So bad. Unimaginable someone got paid to develop this rubbish. Its frustrating in so many ways. Forces you to watch commercials, you sometimes can fast forward through them, mostly not. Most times you are force fed some Godforsaken garbage commercial that says they are in a commercial break, complete with sounds of basketballs dribbling, crowd noise, skating, etc. why show anything at all? Why not make it silent? I'd pay to watch the developers to be forced to listen to this for 3 hours. When they allow you to fast forward, its a "super speedy" 15 seconds at a time. Seriously, what grade are you developers in? Today, i was in the 4th inning of a game, fast forwarded it, its starts up in the 1st inning. Save your time and money, this is as bad as it gets. Developers save your money too, it'll be stunning if someone is fool enough to pay you. Way more wrong about this app than right.

Getting what I pay for. Paying for a Bally sports app should allow me to follow (watch) my local team(s) from anywhere, and I mean anywhere, via an internet connection. Why does my app keep questioning my location when I open it up? If and when I’m traveling, say to FL or the East Coast, I should be able to watch my local teams and not the teams that Bally handles in those areas. I’m paying extra each month for that streaming capability. If I want to watch an out of market team that Bally covers, give me that capability without losing my original team I subscribed to through a drop down box.

Horrible app that barely functions. I cannot begin to convey all my frustrations with Bally Sports. This app barely functions as it should. If you’re watching a pregame show and expect it to go right into the game just as it would on TV… it does not. If you’re not paying attention it will just start the pregame show over. Tonight me and my wife were trying to watch the grizzlies game and we couldn’t select it. It was on the screen next to the hawks game, but it would not select it. Had to completely reset our device to get it to work. This is the only app that we have to do this with. I HATE HATE HATE that we lost Fox sports south and now we’re stuck with this company. I hate that they are the only option I have to watch my local teams. If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would.

Should be 0 stars, app doesn’t work. I want to note that before the most recent update, the app ran smoothly and i had 0 issues with signing in or using the app. Now, to be able to use the app, you needed to download the latest update, which forces you to create an account and sign up for promotional emails (which is a required box you have to check to create the account), and then once you create the account, you run into your first issue: confirming your email. Clicking on the link in my email sent me to my browser, which loaded for a second then redirected me to the Bally sports sign in page. After attempting to sign in, the app says “failure to load” or “try to sign in again”. So you think you’d be able to circumvent all of this by signing in with just your internet/cable provider, right? Unfortunately, no. In order to sign into your provider, you need to be able to sign into an account, which means if you’re not able to confirm the account, you can’t sign in to the app, which means you can’t sign into your provider. IMHO Bally may have some legal repercussions for this. All they have to do is revert the app back to the last update, and every issue would go away.

New App Needs Work. Now that Bally Sports has totally redesigned the app, there are significant issues. This is a review of the tvOS app on Apple TV: * Pre-roll commercials (60-seconds) before every stream. Seriously, I am already getting commercials during the game. You cannot make me watch 60 seconds of spots just to check out another game on another one of your channels. * Still no access to Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays, even though they are local to my region and Bally Sports has broadcast rights. This is just as bad as Fox Sports Go app. * No picture-in-picture options, as was available with Fox Sports Go app. * Wants me to log-in to Bally Sports account via website, but no place to authenticate that account with app. It’s only been a couple of days, so maybe there’s time to salvage this mess of an app. But Sinclair has taken the best of Fox Sports Go and eliminated this features. They’ve kept the worst of Fox Sports Go. And they’ve added extra commercials... during play. The other issues may be fixed, but the pre-roll ads are a big concern. It shows that Sinclair really doesn’t understand sports programming, the need to go straight to live action when I simply want to check out what’s happening with the Braves while also watching the Pelicans.

All around bad. The app was seemingly designed to be as bad a possible in 2024. The system requires you to create a login to access the cable provider login, which is the only live sport streaming app that requires this. A frustrating result of this is the app constantly logs you out of this irrelevant Bally login, which again removes your access to the cable provider you pay for. Next, the app’s stream crashes if there is any blip in connection. Unlike every other major live streaming platform that may pause or lower in quality if connection is interrupted, the Bally app will pause and never restart. This makes it impossible to watch over data. Lastly, the app programmers have some how figured out a way that PIP will not work from landscape mode. Again something unique to this app versus all other live streaming apps.

College Football. Update: either they fixed the prior issue with an “all team” dropdown on college football, or else I found it finally (at the very bottom). Regardless, I found it and it’s working great. I’m finding this to be the best sports APP of all. So much so that I have eliminated the ESPN APP from my iPhone. I'm new to your App. I'm wondering why there isn't a drop down menu that lets you select ALL teams when looking at scores, rather than Top 25 and Conference. For example, I want to see who's playing tonight. If they aren't Too 25, then I have to search every conference. Please fix this ASAP. The app is working well for MLB and I'm enjoying the way your alerts work.

They remove negative ads bc if they didnt it would be 1 Star avg.. First I’ve written about 10 reviews on this app bc they keep being removed. I wonder why..hmmm. Here’s the review: Everything shown under the live section in the app opens a pop up saying you gotta use their other app. Everything under live section on their other app opens a pop up saying you have to watch that stuff on this app. In other words they make you download two apps and still don’t stream their content for you. I’m not an idiot this isn’t user error it’s been this way since they came out with the whole two apps for the same purpose bs. And IF you are able to stream something expect it to forget what it was doing during a commercial and either loop ads for twenty minutes or change the streamed channel on you.

Bally sports/Detroit redwings. I tried the Bally sports app for almost a month. Very disappointed. The app shut down for a week after I signed up for it. Received no notifications that there was a problem with the app… I just couldn’t access the Red Wings viewing. Finally, there was an admission that something was wrong and to their credit they gave me one free week. The app performed well for a week or two and then I could not access the Red Wings again because it said there was a “video error”. I could get the Detroit pistons the same night, but not the Red Wings. I accessed the helpline and was told to do a number of troubleshooting tries… All unsuccessful. After an hour I gave up and asked that my subscription be canceled. How was it possible to view the Pistons that night and not be able to retrieve the red wings? The technician would not/could not answer the question. So disappointed.

Total regret!. Downloaded the app to be able to still watch my favorite SoCal teams after I cut the cable. I’ve had constant issues with my subscription. I was charged twice when signing up. Luckily apple fixed that straight away. Now here I sit after 2 weeks of no audio at all when I use my Apple TV. I’ve tried every possible troubleshooting step provided and spent 30 min on the phone just to be told that my issue will be escalated and I’ll receive an email at some undisclosed future date. I have paid for the entire year and requested a prorated refund. I was told that I agreed to no refunds when I signed up for the service. I guess I’ll have to escalate with apple and my bank to refund the charges since ballys doesn’t want to do right by their customers. Do yourselves a favor and steer clear of this app!

Inconsistent.. The app and the website are constantly inconsistent. I have never felt the urge or need to write a review about any app I have previously used and I’ve been using an iPhone for over 12 years, but Bally has continued to let me down. When I try to use the app each time it claims that the password I had used moments earlier on the website that worked is somehow incorrect. When I try to login in to my account on a tv and need to activate the account via web browser, the website will claim that I am in a different location than I actually am and will refuse me access. You never know when it will work and when it won’t. It has been a giant disappointment of a transition at least for me, an avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan. I hope this app is more consistent for others that use it.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. I use this app on my iPhone 6 Plus to watch Yankees games on the YES Network. The app frequently goes from HD to standard. Then it will completely freeze. I will miss sometimes 10 minutes of a game while I wait for it to unfreeze. Also there is a volume problem with the app. When the Yankee games are on the volume will be very low. I have my volume up high. I thought this was a problem on my end but as soon as the game goes to commercials the volume goes way up. None of these problems happen on my other streaming apps. So all I can conclude is it's a problem on your end. I have emailed you guys and all you say is you will forward my problems to the right department. That was over a year ago and I still have the same problem. You should be ashamed of how you treat your customers who use this app. If I could give 0 stars I would

App doesn’t work. I tried Bally Sports last year to watch my local teams, the app wouldn’t work. This year, I saw the reviews were looking very strong so I signed up, the app worked fine on my iPhone, I was able to cast it to the TV. The Apps on my iPad and XBox flat out won’t work. XBox app, which is my primary way to watch tv, wouldn’t even get past the Bally Sports loading/initation screen. On my iPad it took forever to boot up, once it did, it wouldn’t let me login. I kept getting an error saying an error occurred when I would try to sign in. I clicked to reset password to see if I could get around the error, and got an error attempting to reset password. Unfortunately, I will not be signing up past the free trial, such a bummer, I really want to watch my local teams!

Ok, but missing the features from Fox Sports Go. Really need to bring back PiP. That’s a huge miss for me. I would prefer not as much navigating to get to the game I’m trying to watch. I use the app to watch Angel games and it always seems like I have to scroll past news and other items to get to the game. I appreciated it when it was the first thing that came up, especially if you’re signed in and the team is marked as a favorite. The app on my Apple TV has not played game audio for the last several weeks too. Not sure what that’s about. Audio works fine on iPhone but for whatever reason it has disappeared on the Apple TV. Ads play audio but then as soon as it cuts to the game audio is gone.

Better than nothing, but not much. I hang out with my buddy at his place a few times a week and he does not have xfinity or direct tv like I do so we use my login on ballys to watch the Braves play. It worked pretty good for the first 2 months of the season but the last two nights it has been atrocious. It stopped working all together during last nights game and tonight’s it will play 5 seconds then pause and buffer for 10 seconds. Plus it looks like it was recorded back in the 1920s more often than not tonight. I sure with fox sports would take back over because at least they were competent. Any ways do better Bally sports. I am only not gonna give it one star because it’s worked pretty good all season but for the last two nights I would give it a 1 star or negative if i could.

Needs Work. Glitch/bug where the “action bar” or whatever it’s called (where you can swipe up) doesn’t disappear when watching in fullscreen. Tried uninstalling, restarting phone, and reinstalling, but the bar at the bottom of the screen still remains visible constantly when watching in fullscreen. Very annoying and not good for potential OLED burn-in. Picture in Picture (PiP) can only be activated when holding your phone vertically. If you’re watching horizontally/fullscreen, PiP can’t be activated. Surely this must be an oversight or a glitch, because that’s just stupid. Doesn’t support Apple’s iOS TV provider universal sign-in (in the phone settings), so users have to sign in separately within the app. Fortunately, the app seems to retain the TV provider login for quite a while. Even so, it’s still annoying.

Really Bad Coverage. Loved Fox Sports and used to love watching the Braves games…. Then it got bought out by Bally. That’s when things really went south. At the beginning we had covwrage but then SE just disappeared from the app and somehow merged with South. I’m from NC so theoretically I should get coverage for either the Braves or the Nationals. Nope. They decided to only say that the Reds were in my territory. Umm nope. They switch back and forth between the Reds and the Braves but favor the Reds. It just doesn’t make any sense regionally wise. The last straw was the Reds v Braves game. Surely, that was the one guaranteed game right? WRONG. How, how, did this not air????? Seriously disappointed, I just don’t understand this issue. Do not recommend this app at all, would be better off just paying for MLB TV. The worst part is that you can see the Braves game… but it’s not included in my coverage as it is not in my region…. But the Reds are??? I live in NC! Uggg so frustrating.

The App is awful.. This app BallySports is charging me for every month as a subscription, doesn’t do the main thing it needs to do… play live video smoothly . Many times when I log on the app is consistently jerky and hesitating during live playback. $10 a month would be worth it, if I actually played video back consistently. We’ve missed so many important moments because of this app’s failure. Not only this, but when you click the help menu, you get an error 404 message. I’m still paying for it because there’s no other way to get this baseball content, but it’s very disappointing how the app consistently under performs. (This happens using the app, logging in on a Mac, a PC… doesn’t matter. It’s all hit or miss and on the miss days, it stinks.

Do NOT recommend. This is the worst app we have ever used. We paid $189 to be able to watch the Tigers and can’t the majority of the time because the app shows we are located in another state and will not refresh to our current location (which is MI). When we called customer service and they refreshed our location, we fluctuated between WI, OH, MN, and OK. I have tried other tv’s in the house and sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. When we get lucky and the app actually recognizes our location, it lags so bad that we have to refresh it about every 5 minutes. We unfortunately already paid for the entire season, but have canceled our subscription for next season. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anybody and wish we could get our money back for this season since we can’t watch the games anyway.

I never write reviews but…. Yikes. It was fine when it was FoxSportsGo still. It had your teams right on the front page, you clicked what you wanted to watch and it loaded into the steam. Now they’re trying to make it a sports news app that you can also watch ads, I mean games on. Seriously ads on the every page of the app. You open up a video and it’s an ad that you can skip, but it skips to an unskippable ad. Then when you finally get to the video to watch the game it starts buffering. Then it plays for 30 seconds and buffers again. It says you’re watching live but because of the buffering you’re at least 2 minutes behind. I gave up and decided to watch through the browser on my computer but it still buffers there. It is a joke of an app from a joke of a company

Bally’s app update is trash!. I received a notification the hockey game was going to OT. I opened the, now, Bally’s sports app and was greeted by a really slow UI that was freezing and when I finally got into the stream there was literally 60 seconds of ads. When I finally got into the game, there was 2 minutes left in OT. Than the video froze and I had to kill the app. Relaunched, slow UI and 60 seconds of ads all over again but I saw the last 60 seconds of the shootout. Totally regret updating from the Fox Sports Go app. With the old app you opened it, pick your stream and you were watching the game immediately. This is just pure trash now. FYI, Roku app is just as broken so it seems to be a server issue on their end and not a software issue. At least the hockey season is almost over but now there is an entire baseball season where I need to cope with this trash.

It’s so bad that I miss the Fox Sports app. So bad. Every. Single. Game.... there’s an issue. Apparently Bally thinks every game ends at the 3 hour mark. So if things go smoothly before the 3 hour mark, consider yourself lucky but you’ll be watching the rest in a little PIP picture in the corner of your TV. As glitchy as the Fox sports app was, this is 100x worse. How do you even release this to the public? I would be embarrassed to have my name on that app. Tried every way, Xbox, AppleTV, Roku, all stream the same. I bet Bally’s is regretting getting the naming rights from Diamond Sports, who obviously don’t know how to make an app. It’s so bad I’ll never go into a casino owned by Bally’s. No update or fix after almost 50 games? Do you care? Do you even read these reviews? As long as you’re still making money right....

Worse Sports Streaming Experience on the Market. Bally recently bought out the region I am in from Fox. I don’t know how they managed to botch the integration of streaming services so badly. Half the time you are unable to stream live content that you should be entitled to stream. The volume fluctuates a preposterous amount between ads and games when casting, a problem I haven’t had across dozens of streaming apps and the disconnects are frequent. The only reason it seems that Bally was able to buyout content rights from so many other big sports broadcasting names, is because they cut an obscene amount corners. They certainly don’t care about the customer or customer experience and they reflected that perfectly into this shoddy excuse of an app. Thank you so much for taking a previously working and enjoyable sports streaming experience and ruining it Bally and Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc!

Catastrophic issue that needs fixed immediately. I truly don’t understand how this app has 4 stars. Everything about Bally is horrible. The subscription price, the app, the viewing experience, everything. But I can put all that aside if I can watch my favorite sports team. BUT EVERYGAME I CAN WATCH THE END. There is a catastrophic issue that completely ruins the viewing experience. Sports games rarely end at the “televised end time” so the game goes into the postgame show. But with Bally. That means the viewing screen shrinks and the program forces you to click the postgame show. But almost everytime I can’t watch the postgame show because it’s still “upcoming” it isn’t live for some reason. So I have to watch the game in the ended stream. But when I try to make it big enough to watch the playhead menu is overtop the game and it’s blocking a third of the screen. And if I press back or whatever to get it to go away ot goes back to the tiny screen. So until I can watch the postgame show I’m forced to see the end of the game with the playhead or a tiny little box. This is horrible and makes fans miss huge endings, overtime’s, or their team winning. Fix this. NOWWWWW

Buggy as ever. This app always has issues. No matter what platform you use it on. Today for instance watching the Stars playoff game, it is literally unwatchable. It keeps flickering to a black screen over and over. It'll stop for maybe a few minutes then do it again. The audio still works but it's just a black screen. On the Xbox, it's like Bally has never heard of overtime or something. Any time it goes into OT the channel/stream whatever backs out like it's over and like credits are rolling and it goes to a small screen. So then you go back to click on the box to make it big again and the play rewind fast forward symbols stay on screen and can't go away. The screen also has that grey tint to it like it's buffering but it still plays in the background. The day FS switched to Bally is the day I started having difficulty watching my teams play.

Worst Streaming App Ever?. The switch from Fox Sports to Bally has been a joke. I’ve given the developers months and months to sort things out but it only seems to get worse. I’ve had to log in roughly 600 times during this NBA season. I’ve never seen any app make you login more than Bally. I think I logged into Fox Sports 2 times in my life, but with Bally it’s EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Then once I log in it’s not like my local teams are shown on the main page I have to go seek out my region. And if you get lucky enough to actual stream the game it’s 45 to 90 seconds behind. Even though I pay to get the channel for the last few weeks I’ve resorted to finding an illegal stream online so I can watch reliably and don’t have every big moment ruined because I am a minute behind. Pure garbage all around. Bally Sports should be embarrassed.

Good concept, poor execution.. I've been using this app for nearly 2 years now. It's decent, but the streams are never great. Constant freezing and buffering are over of the problems. Another is constant jumping of content. When casting it had an issue where the stream with jump forward and backwards about 10 seconds randomly on its own. Often times I'll miss big plays or outs because it'll skip forward. The other main issue is audio video sync. Over there course of a game of do not reset my steam, the audio will slowly start to lag behind, and by the end of the game the audio will be roughly 4-5 seconds behind, sometimes more. All in all I really like the attempt, anf the video quality is generally acceptable, but there's just too many issues that apps like watch espn and such don't have.

It’s Not That Hard To Do. Look, you had a good app base to design from, many companies have already done it - and it looks like you’ve been doing this for a couple years - so, it’s surprising to see how bad this app is. Have you done zero consumer research? Because literally nobody likes the 30 seconds of pre-launch ads. And even if they don’t mind those, they definitely don’t like the additional 30 seconds of advertisements if you accidentally close out, or hit the menu button, or if you select “Enhanced View” or whatever the stupid description you have for “full screen.” Additionally, your volume matching is broken for the AppleTV app. Not great for folks that want to hear the game, but also don’t want the advertisements (THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE ON THE BROADCAST) to blow out their ear drums. Please take this as constructive feedback; these aren’t difficult fixes/decisions, business or technical.

Consistently fails to deliver. My only legal option to watch local professional sports games is Bally Sports. It’s a tragedy for this diehard Pistons fan because Bally is the worst media platform I have ever used and it isn’t particularly close. Nearly every viewing is struggle. Unknown errors, app crashes, login issues, ending programs too early, unexplained loss of access etc. whether it’s a phone app, website, game console app… if it’s Bally sports you can expect to be let down. The rating on this App Store is a fraud, as I have never heard of someone with a high opinion of this platform. Currently writing this as I am locked out of the app after a mandatory update. An attempt to login results in an unknown error. An attempt to reset password results in an unknown error. An attempt to make a new account results in an unknown error. This is the standard experience with Bally. I pray for the downfall of this incompetent business

Bally Sports was Better. How this app has gotten a 4.3 review is beyond me. Had way less issues when it was Bally Sports. During “commercial” break the screen never resets back to the game just plays the audio. Watching the game via mobile device it gets worse. Game cuts and resets five seconds anytime there’s a big play being made. Random white bar on the screen that takes up screen space. Crazy that i get better results watching from a service i don’t pay or have a subscription to. Which is another good point, for $15 you’d think it’d be more dependable but you don’t even get to watch all the games. The only reason i give it any star at all is for convenience sake. 2 out of 5.

Why pay $20 to watch nothing. Worst steaming service ever. I paid the $20 so I can watch the Redwings games. Unfortunately you can only watch a couple minutes until it stops and signs you out and then I have to log back in to nothing but errors. And then it will let you watch 30 seconds and then log you out again and then not even show you the game if you can get back in. Plus they literally have no customer support at all. You can’t chat with anyone, they have turned that off, and I’ve sent multiple emails and texts and never heard anything back. And if you read their response to people calling them out on Twitter it’s the same canned response over and over saying they are having issues streaming. Don’t give them any of your money. It’s a total scam.

It’s 2024. Figure out your streaming service!. The streaming constantly crashes at least 1-2 times per game. Try and rewind… eventually you get stuck in an Ad. Once you get stuck in the Ad, you have wait and watch the full Ad to continue rewinding. It’s not even really an Ad either, it’s just some generic sports images with sound effects. Rewinding also leads to playback and app errors all the time. The audio and video are never in sync. When they are, it is short lived and within a few minutes audio will be delayed anywhere between 3 and 10 seconds. I have deleted/redownloaded the app, checked my internet speeds, tried restarting Roku device, restarted my router, etc etc. I’ve done all there trouble shooting and it never gets better. I stream 4k on all my other platforms and apps with zero issues. This is the only app that I have that can’t perform.

id give 0 stars if I could. the absolute worst app. it rarely works to his full capacity, even on wifi!!! there's countless times where you can maybe get 20 seconds of a watch in before it freezes & you're lucky if it's a clearly picture for those 20 seconds. it continues to be the same issues across the country for multiple people & their way of "fixing" it is stupid. the amount of times i've talked with a support rep & all I get is asking for info that no one is going to have on hand about MY tv box/internet when those or my phone are clearly not the issue when multiple customers across the country are having problems. same problems never get fixed and it results in nearly the worst app developed out & it's no wonder they're going bankrupt. you want satisfied customers? fix the basic issues.
