Rogers Xfinity Comments & Reviews 2026
Adding devices / tracking devices. This app used to be so good/easy to use. Every new device added to my household the app would prompt me to assign it. I’d assign it, and no problem. Now each time I add a new device I get the same prompt to open the app, I do and I have to sign in. When I sign into my account the app has forgotten why I was opening it and I can’t assign the device it prompted me about. It’s totally useless now. I don’t mind signing in but it should still bring up the device in question automatically to let me deal with it then just a generic new session. Useless!
Always loses connection. Since getting this we lose connection just about every day. Sometimes for a few minutes sometimes it’s off and on for hours. It’s out again now. It’s a pain and not recommended.
Bad App. Doesn’t have iOS design guidelines so you can’t go back using the gesture from the left of the screen, no native iPad app, won’t let me switch to WiFi 6 (ax) and the graph is very simple and basic. Would have preferred the ability to click into it and see exact data usage in MB or GB. Lots of potential with this app thats missed out, disappointing given the high reviews.
The Freeze. Lots of freezing and blinking off in the most in opportune time. Not happy.

Login screen doesn’t load. App says it needs to use Rogers.com to log me in, but only a blank page loads. Can’t use.
Technician. Technician was very good and helpful. He should be recognized for service.
Useless app - says I don’t have Ignite!. Current Ignite customer. After logging in the app says “you don’t have Ifnite set up” but it’s been set up for 3 weeks. Complete garbage, useless app. 0 starts if I could rate 0.

Garbage app. Rogers internet is always down. Can’t even connect to the app when internet is down. I used to have bell and when the internet was down the app would still be able to wirelessly reboot the modem. I logged in to this app to reboot.. what is that.

Bad product design. Used to be able to change router settings from the direct lan portal but now you are forced to use an app and only the app for router settings. Being able to make the user experience worse to shove advertising down your throat is crazy. I hope some entity can break up this anti-consumer monopoly
App needs new ios... why?. I cant use this app on many on my devices becuase it is locked above an ios verison. Why? Its an app to manage internet. It only needs the internet to work. The rogers team just wishes to force changes on its customers and blocks devices without any reason. The app isnt even tested for useage on ipad. Completely lazy rogers.

Horrible. They can’t get the information straight between the website and the info on the App Store. Site says iOS 15 or newer, App Store says iOS 16 or newer. Can’t use the old version of the app even though this new version was s probably just a reskin of the old based on how this company works. Also you can’t access the features of this app from a desktop computer cause that would just make to much sense for something to be simple for the end user. They always want more and more money for less and less usability for the end users.
Can’t sign in. Ever since this app updated from Shaw to Roger’s Xfinity, I can’t log in. It just sends me into an endless loop of signing in, 2FA then right back to the signing screen. Fix your app! Aren’t you one of the largest corporations in Canada? Err that’s not the issue. I’m literally writing a review about this app. …Seems obvious this is the correct app
Too long to download new version. Wifi at home went out so I tried to reset using this app. Then it said I needed to update the app. That’s taking 15 min to do. Not cool
1 billing account 2 physical locations. 2 things: 1-if you have 1 billing amount but 2 physical locations with landline internet you can’t switch between locations in the app. The only way to switch it is by locking out from the app and logging back in. 2- even if you do that 1 location will always throw an error. Deleting app and reinstalling doesn’t help. No Rogers employee is able to help.

Doesn’t work. App doesn’t work. Can’t assign devices to my kids. Can’t assign kids to devices. Can’t rename devices. Names keep constantly changing for devices. Pause all doesn’t work. Useless! Can’t restrict access to the internet in the middle of the night. Can’t shut wifi off for the house completely because of personal devices that need to be turned on all the time. This app is supposed to help control access but since it changed to Xfinity it has just been Useless, useless, useless!

Update. I can no longer access the app as my iPhone 7 is no longer compatible. And now requires iOS 16. Which is not available on the iPhone 7 iOS 15.8.3 is the end of the road for the 7. 🥲 I have no intention of buying a different phone.

Way too basic.. Cant even set a port forward without getting an error. Would prefer to use the admin portal to log into the router, but they removed the features from there and put them on the app where they dont work as well.

Does not worth 14max pro latest IOS. Open 2 issue tickets with Rogers. Every time they close tickets without fixing issue.
Worst app ever. I can’t ever login to this app when my wifi is down. It always requires me to sign in, never saves my sign in information, nor does it actually work when I do try to get into the app to test/restart my gateway. I’m not sure why Rogers even bothers with this app when it’s nonfunctional. Plus, the updates fix nothing.
Not very good. When ignite goes offline, then the app does not work. You cannot reset the box when not connected to the wifi. No connection to box remotely
Terrible experience. It’s bad enough that router and modem settings are not entirely accessible after logging in to my Roger’s router, but to then have the app be one of the most unreliable pieces of garbage software is ridiculous. Every time I go to enter the correct username and password, I get prompted to enter a code. However, when I enter said code I get returned to the login page to start the loop again. What an abject failure.

Not working lately. This app is hit and miss. I use the parental controls to pause my kids devices, and the unpause/pause is persnickety. It doesn’t always work, doesn’t unpause. It usually has a confirm after you ask to unpause, but that doesn’t come up any longer. It used to work well, but recently it’s lagging or stalling out, making it unreliable and frustrating.
port forward setup is broken. The drop down list of connected devices is capped at 9 devices. I see that i have 29 connected devices from within the app, so there’s definitely more than 9. i think the developers need to review this.
Home internet. This is the worse internet service 95% of the time it’s not working.
Needs a lot of work still. The app is functional but not the best. I know it’s free, and I don’t know the process required to build an app, but for a multi-billion dollar company like Rogers, I expect a LOT more in their front end user experience. Updated App. Once again they’ve updated the app without consideration for those of us who cannot afford to buy a new iPhone. My iPhone 7 cannot handle the new operating system and therefore the Rogers app no longer works. I don’t know why the banks can do it and Rogers cannot. Just leave the app for those of us who cannot update as is with a notice that says this app cannot be updated because of your system but you’re welcome to use it anyway

Worst sign in experience. App keeps logging me out every time I open it, add a feature to remember not just username but password as well.
App not accessible. It keeps telling me to update the app on my iPad, I try to and it goes to the the app page and shows OPEN. Nothing happens when I click on open. Cannot watch anything anymore when not at home.
PC wifi not great. Not impressed when it works it works fine but when it drops you continuously have to go to app to find out what the heck is going on with your PC
Ignite installed without pods and no pods arriving weeks after ordered. Ignite installed without the booster pods requested to help the signal reach the upstairs bedrooms. Lack of signal upstairs and in the basement without boosters has always been a problem in the house. I ordered the pods several weeks ago and they haven’t arrived after a few call backs to find out why. No wifi in the bedrooms so my data plan on my phone is taking a hit. The main floor is working well.

Restricted mode. Blocks unnecessary websites and pops up with a warning that people are trying to steal my info and credit cards. Ok karen the website is literally run by adobe that millions of people trust.
Cannot login. And thus cannot set up wifi on new modem. What is the point of the app if I end up in an endless loop or providing my correct credentials and being brought back to the back to enter email again. Why. Why are you trying to make me go insane? This is the worst version of Groundhog Day and I hate you for doing this to me.
Cannot Login. With latest version, I am no longer able to login to the app using my iPhone XR, I hit the sign in button and nothing happens. I was able to log in using my iPad.
Freezes when pausing/unpausing devices.. This app freezes in so many different ways I can't even comprehend what it really is for. It randomly gives generic names to devices. We have several iPhones in the household and while they were each recognized at the beginning, the app suddenly decided to call them all iPhones. When pausing devices under Household, as a whole, this results in devices unable to reconnect to the network even when unpaused and it is just time-consuming to troubleshoot. And of course scrolling through the list in the app causes it to crash. Unbelievable. Please hire more software engineers to test your applications.

THANK YOU. thank you for this amazing wifi app!!!! First let me say good job on the slick design! I love how the app looks so sharp, I love how it works without having to be near the the modem! It can be monitored anywhere around the world. I love how for a new app by Rogers the engineers took there time adding all the important features at launch and not having to wait for a future update for features. Great job on adding protected browsing feature so that all my devices connected to the modem are viewing secure web pages. my absolute favorite about this wifi managing app is the NOTIFICATIONS knowing when a device gets connected to my wifi is a huge plus!!! Wish list : please add speed test directly from modem to get the true modem speed. Also please remove the “get organized with profiles “ that shows up when you open the app. I like when you slide over you can see the device highlights make that the default screen to open the app too! Apart from that this app is a great app to manage the ignite modem with!
