Wonderful app. This is exactly what I was looking for in an app for sleep, meditation, and focus. I tried their mesmerize app too but I found that I mostly enjoyed the sounds so this app works better for me. In particular focus music helps me study without getting distracted, unlike a Spotify playlist where I may get distracted to jump from song to song. Keep it up and keep the new sounds coming!

Soundly is Amazing! I love the stories for naps!. I love using it for short naps and meditations. It helps me feel refreshed and calm.

Tricky pricing- Scam. Under the pricing menu it says Soundly Weekly- $2.99 Daily. All I know is I was being charged by Apple 2.99 all the time and finally figured out it was this stupid app dinging me left and right. I cancelled but it charged me again today and says my plan will cancel July 6. So I guess I’ll be charged 2.99 daily for another week. No way to stop immediately ???

This app is a scam.. I use white noise so I can fall asleep because it’s loud in my dorm. I thought this was a normal free white noise app, but apparently you get automatically signed up to a yearly $60 charge. I’ve only had this app for a few months and now I have to pay $60?! Not cool. I obviously wouldn’t have gotten it if I had known I’d be charged. I reached out to their email but didn’t get a response. Disappointed.

This is weird.. This feels like the guy at the bar who thinks buying a drink means sex. I think there’s nothing wrong for wanting to be paid for the work you do but as a company I think it’s wrong to hard sell before providing value. It wouldn’t hurt to have an extremely limited lite version. Then the main complaint you get would be instantly put to rest.

My new favorite. I recently learned that my Pzizz subscription also works with this app, so I gave it a try and it’s already become my favorite. It’s fast to set up a “sleep soundtrack,” and they do help me fall asleep faster. So many options to choose from too! It’s well worth checking out! I do have a couple suggestions for changes. First, I’d love a favorite mix to be able to include a sequence of spoken tracks instead of just one. I’d love to be able to delay the start of the spoken track as well.

Highly Deceptive. I downloaded hoping I can just use the basic app, but the first screen prompts you to PAY $60 a year!! For white noise? It shouldn't be advertised as a FREE app if you aren’t allowing users to use a basic version for free!

“Alexa, play sleep sounds ocean sounds.”. This is really cool! I would say that this has the same sounds when you turn it on your Alexa! There is even rain sounds and probably more to discover! I want to ask. Did you make that amazing Alexa skill?

Didn’t even try it..... I didn’t even make it past the initial set up. It wanted me to do 7 day trial after which I would be charged the yearly rate of $59.99.

Pointless. I downloaded app and didn’t have the white noise sound I wanted. Deleted app same day and never used again. I had no idea the app cost 60$! Way over priced for what the app offers! Don’t be scammed like me. I tried to request a refund and no response from developer. Over all terrible app!!

Simply the best. I have used most, if not all of the sleeping, meditating and focused based applications. This one has the flexibility and focus to address any situation and need.

Loved it but far to expensive :(. Its a great app and ive tried dozens like it, I love that this one has such soothing ambience, not like others that just have a bunch of annoying pianno loops. Unfortunatley once the trial ended i couldnt use a thing or even get back in it. I understand it was a trial but I assumed the free version would just be limited selections and could still use some. Im sad as I really fell in love with it but just cannot afford subscriptions like these. I would love it if developers created a free version of something similiar with a few features, they are deff on right track with there sound apps and wish others had there vision.

Amazing...but pricey. I loved this app. Was amazing being able to mix and choose what worked best for me to drift off to sleep too. I even loved the pre-made sessions as well. 7 days was more then enough to get me hooked. Downfall is the price is just more then what I am able to afford. Would still recommend for sure. But I just can’t see spending the money for this at the price right now.

Expensive app. To be honest app is good sounds oky but it is expensive. Should be 4.99$ a month not double of that amount. I’ll pass this one. Not mind paying but don’t want to overpaid. For now I can’t give you more than one star. Sorry!

Really is helpful for sleeping. I love the way I can loop the stories. I wake up here and there and am able to easily fall asleep again. Love the frequent updates,

I liked it but.... I really like this app. It worked the first time I opened it. But then, when I went to open it up again, it required me to pay to use it's features. I'm not paying. I don't know why you guys changed this app, but I don't like it and I uninstalled it.

Amazing but it’s too expensive. I loved the app when I first got it. The sounds were really pretty and really helped me fall asleep and relax. I find that (and i’m sure a lot of other people do too) that it’s too much money to subscribe. You could make the free version locked away from a few things and make the monthly subscription thing cheaper and i’m sure you would get more customers.

Perfect compliment to Pzizz - or as a stand-alone!. I have used Pzizz to fall asleep for years. Since it was a desktop app that output MP3 files, actually. Now I use it on my phone every night. If I happen to wake up, I have a saved Soundly favorite I’ve built that helps me fall right back to sleep and keeps me asleep through the night. I love this (these) apps!

Too expensive. Seems like a really nice app. I would love to keep it but not for these prices. I understand developers need to get paid but what’s wrong with a flat rate to download and keep. No subscriptions! That’s ridiculous for an app like this. I will be uninstalling sadly.

Not free.. Says it is free in the App Store, but you have to subscribe $7.99 a month. I was able to fall asleep with it too :(

Not free. This app is really nice and helped me get to sleep for a few days, but after a while it will lock you out behind a paywall. I would love to keep using it, but I really can’t afford to pay $60 a year for it, and would’ve liked to know that was a requirement up front.

disappointing. i loved using this app until it asked me to pay the ridiculous prices . i assumed there would be some sort of free limited section but not even one thing . i refuse to pay for “sounds” .

AWESOME BUT.... First things first, I just downloaded this app earlier this morning. This app was great! I loved that I could literally make my own happy space. Mixing together sounds to create an environment tranquil to my own ears and mind. After getting home from work I decided to use it for meditation for the night. I remember tapping the “X” in the left corner when the subscription ad popped up earlier, but when I reopened it I had no other option; I could only pay for the full version or nothing else. Heck I even uninstalled and reinstalled it, sadly nothing changed. It was nice while it lasted though.

Great App!. I found the app itself very useful. The guided meditations are excellent, especially the sleep ones. However, this app will charge you a year upfront for the subscription once the free trial is up. Be careful and make sure to cancel before they charge you if you do not wish to pay the year up front.

Fantastic app, very accessible with VoiceOver. I've been a Pzizz user for many years so was excited to give this app a try. As a blind user, I'm concerned about VoiceOver accessibility but fortunately, this app seems very accessible. Absolutely love the fantastic sounds, it's clear that a great deal of work has gone into making this app awesome.

I used to love this app. Being a college student, focus is absolutely necessary for success in classes, and using this app gave me the focus and the precision I needed. Now that the creators put up a paywall, looks like I’m going to have to find a new app to use and love. Will not recommend this app anymore and my family members have already deleted off of their phones as well.

nice while it lasted.... it was incredible, and I used it every night until I cleared the app from my queue, and then when I opened the app again, I had to pay to use it. uninstalling it and reinstalling it did absolutely nothing. it was amazing while it lasted, but unfortunately, it did this to me (and others, apparently). oh well, at least I can get it free on YouTube and Spotify :///

Create your own relaxation. Lovers of Pzizz will enjoy this app. The soundscapes are appropriate and well paced. Building your own comforting sound or focus environment is made easy with soundly.

LOVE it!. I love that you can layer sounds for your own sound experience. The variety is great and the stories are creative and calming. My savior is the “back to sleep” meditation for nights when I wake up at 3am!

Keeps making me log in.. Wonderful app, lovely, and very useful. However, I log in with my pzizz account and everything is fine. But the next time I open the app I’m logged out and have to log in again. How can I stay logged in to Soundly with my pzizz credentials?

Worst app, limited sounds. Don’t bother downloading this app, with their selection of sounds the app should be free. Not worth it at all. Additionally the company is shady, I downloaded the app for the 7 day free trial and they automatically charged me $60 the second I downloaded. I can’t get a hold of their support team and they do not respond when I asked for a refund because I didn’t want to use the app.

Fantastic Sound app!. Complex enough to allow for extremely varied types of background sound, but simple enough to navigate quickly.

Deceptive. Be careful.. When I’m half asleep looking for some white noise while traveling, I apparently don’t make careful choices in apps. Appears to be “free” but will charge you a rip off price of $60 after one week. I don’t even remember seeing the notification, but’s there. This app is not forthcoming and overcharges for what it is. Best look to many of the other actual free options.

Incredible meditation app?. While it has lots of meditations it’s definitely a lot more than just a meditation app. The amount of content is crazy. So much to explore!

More stories/voices. Love this app. I’ve had it for over 2 years and I listen every night to sleep. Hoping the developers can add some new stories and voices soon. Some of the stories are great but the voiceover option is not very pleasant to listen to. Still love all the options. Love this app! Just more voice options please!

Cannot sleep without it.. Chronic pain sufferer here and this app is a godsend.

One of my most used apps.. Not only is this app super functional and effective, but they update it all the time with new content and are incredibly responsive with feedback and suggestions, and seem to try hard to make things better for you as an individual. Great folks. Great content, everything from sound effects to binaural tones to industrial sounds to great sleep music.

GOOD!!. Ive been using this to cancel the noisy from my sister. She loves to laugh, sing and shout at night. Sometimes i feel like ripping her vocal cords out. This cancels out most of the noise and i would just fall asleep not knowing when it even stopped!! I LOVE IT!! :)

Was good but is now ruined. It was good for awhile as I was struggling to sleep. That was until now when I logged on to check it out it says to use the app at all I need a subscription the free stuff before was perfect. Guess what? Now you have ruined it! Thanks a lot

AVOID!!! A MASSIVE RIP OFF!!. That’s such poor form, charging $93 automatically for year if you don’t cancel the app. And the app isn’t that good, certainly not $93 good. Life saver!. I’ve been the WORST sleeper forever. And now I have a 4 year old with horrific nightmares and a baby that wakes all through the night. I’m quite literally up to them 5 - 10 times a night. I struggled getting back to sleep until Soundly app came along. I love the variety of stories, myths, meditations, sounds... the list goes on. I’m a radio announcer and voice over artist so super fussy with listening to sleeping apps. John is the BEST, so natural and soothing! Take your pick they’re all great. Do yourself a favour: invest in yourself and your sleep. You won’t regret it, I promise!!

Great. Best app I have found for relaxation and perfect sleep music

Brilliant. I’ve been using Pzizz for about 6 months and have now switched to Soundly This app is amazing. It has all the dreamscapes and narrations of Pzizz but now also adds ability to help with anxiety stress relaxation. So easy to make your own custom mixes of music and narration and sound effects (breathing etc) and save your mix as a favourite. Very easy to use with frequent updates. Great customer support too Well done to developers. You have excelled with this one. Please keep the new dreamscapes and narrations coming as you have been and more narrations from Bethany. Her voice is perfect and sends me into deep sleep Highly recommended

Love it. It’s basically Pzizz rebooted, simplified and cleaned up. Gj guys.

Many options, little value. As a Pzizz user that is having problems with Airplay in the current app, I was hoping this app would be a more up to date replacement. Unfortunately this app is not well suited to sleeping or napping. Unlike Pzizz, the narration is exactly the same every time, which makes it annoying after one or two uses. The narrator that I like, Matthew, has very few sound clips, and does not talk at all after that. Most of the background sounds are also repetitive and on a short loop. It also cannot find any way to setup a nap that starts with narration and ends with wake up narration. There also appears to be no option for an alarm. There are too many choices, most of them not very good, and the app is not very intuitive. Overall this app feels to basic compared to Pzizz. I wish Pzizz were updated to be better and work properly with the new Airplay. The original Pzizz with it’s randomized script and the classic Pzizz soundscape is still by far the best and most effective tool I have used for a relaxing nap. One of the reasons Pzizz worked so well in its original form is that it was not the same every time. Most of the new soundscapes in Pzizz, and everything in Soundly, seems to be the same every time and on a simple loop. This does not live up to the legacy of the original Pzizz, and I would not recommend it. I am getting tired of paying for a subscription only to get access to more repetitive and less varied soundscapes, or apps like Soundly, where there is no variation at all. The original Pzizz that I started using on my Mac 15 years ago worked well, and when I can get it working on my phone, it still does. I disappointed that that original experience hasn’t gotten the attention it needs to keep it functioning. As it stands this will never be a suitable replacement.

Try clearing 1. Best sound app I’ve ever tried. Useful for focus, mediation, sleep, destressing, or just pleasant sound tracks as. A backdrop to your day. Clearing 1 is a nature sound scape unique to this app I love having on. Give it a try.

No longer being updated. Love this app, but sadly it is no longer being updated with new sounds and stories, missing many of the newer stories and music. Will update the review if things change.
