Saving to iOS folders?. Really. Why would I use a TOR browser and save my downloads to docs or my camera roll? Obviously this app is NOT a continuation of Red Onion.

Upon trying to connect to dev site - the site is dowm. Unknown VPN. The devs site is unencrypted and down with link to email directly. When there smoke there’s fire.

CRASHING. Not working on iOS 16.1.1 app crashes as soon as it opens

It does not working. I downloaded this app and paid for it , but it jump out of app and does not run the app

The app is crashing. Is there any update for this app, otherwise it’s totally useless to be on App Store!! It is NOT working on iOS 16.

Tor v3. Can you add the ability to access tor v3 sites?

Too good to be true- except it is true. I was searching the App Store for a Tor browser app with VPN, yet only finding reviews on each app all containing similar stories- apps that had you rate them before you can use them, apps that were once good but introduced adds which gave away your VPN (and were extremely frequent and annoying to boot), apps that are too slow to be justified, and apps that did not provide the protection that they initially promised. So when I saw that this free app was meant to be an improved version of the older version of Red Onion, I was cautiously hopeful. Could a free app really be so good? The answer, as I soon found out, was yes. This app passed the tests on security-checking websites, uses Touch ID, can toggle Flash for security vs. function, and much more. It even blurs the display when not open, preventing anyone from taking an internal screenshot of the browser. Would give this a much higher rating if I could.

Don’t purchase. Just purchased the app and it won’t open!

Still connecting.... Great concept... If only the VPN would actually work. My phone has been attempting to connect for days with no success

Completely unreliable. This app crashes frequently. Half the time, it doesn’t even use a VPN. Once it crashes, good luck getting it to connect again, because it will fail time after time. The entire point of a TOR browser is the VPN, so if the most basic feature is unreliable, the app is garbage. Back button never works. Press and hold on a photo and you never know which menu will pop up. VPN stays on when you close the app.

New identity. Their is a bug After you close browser. VPN stays connected. Also can you add new identity option like in red browser

Was great at first, but.... At first, things were splendid. The app worked just fine, functioning as a tor browser. However that all came to an end when it slowly started to get - well, slower. I expect tor browsers to be a bit slow so that isn’t much of a problem BUT I do have a major problem with the download function. Like with the speed, at first it was excellent. All at once the download function stopped working, as every time I tried to download a file the notation would pop up where the download button is and then quickly go away, and the file would just be stuck at 0 mb and 0 mb/s. Next to whatever file it is I tried downloading there are two buttons stacked vertically: a red X and a button that looks like a download arrow. If I press the latter of the two the app crashes, which happened multiple times in a row from multiple sites, hence my lengthy yet stern comment concerning this app. Please fix it :(

Unstable. The app and VPN profile get stuck sometimes. Especially when you enable Touch Browser unlock after Purple VPN has successfully connected and taken you to the browser a pop up shows to use Touch ID I added a password. It totally kills corrupts the app.

Wth. Only crashes for me never started up

Now Dead App. This was the best TOR browser I had ever came across but sadly it no longer works with the latest IOS. I had been using it for years but now it just crashes immediately upon opening. Unfortunately I cannot recommend anyone purchase this app at this time due to this and there does not seem to be any intention to update the browser. I really hope this comes back though, I would even be willing to pitch a donation or something to the dev to get it back. Here’s hoping something changes.

Just got the app tonight. So the Info of the app says free but I ended up paying $1.99 for this app. The thing is I can not get it to work so until I can get this app it work it will be a One star will update if I get it working

Great but needs work. This is a great app, but it needs the ability to configure tor bridges. When that day comes I’ll up my rating to 5 stars.

Not going to use it. Wants access to modify my VPN. Not what I was looking for.

Beware, VPN required!. Wasn’t aware that VPN was REQUIRED since it wasn’t listed in the description as a requirement. Thought this was more like the first version of Red Browser. I refuse to use some unknown VPN for ALL data on my iPhone, not just data when using this app.

Does the job as expected. Purple onion is one application that is spectacular in its design and execution of its job. To pass by those the very smooth yet simplistic execution would be doing oneself a injustice of both time and space which are very valuable commodities indeed.

Garbage. Straight garbage, honestly like come On guys why would you even charge 1.99 for a product that doesn’t work.

App is completely useless. Unable to connect to any sites and after trying to use it once, now the app continually crashes or gets stuck on the bootstrap screen. Most of the time it doesn’t even begin the process, staying at 0%. On very rare occasions it makes it to 85% but stalls at the handshake. If I attempt to close and reopen it gets stuck in an infinite loop of opening and crashing. Really poor performance in general.

What a piece of obama this app is.... I can get ONE site with this useless app.

Needs some work. App will open and seem to run fine, then after going to a few pages the whole app crashes and you have to reload everything again
