The good and the bad. The amplification is very impressive and it does help me hear audio books and podcasts when their volume is too low for my somewhat compromised hearing. I use on my iPhone with Bluetooth ear phones, hearing aids and bone conduction headset. The main issue with this use is the microphone is also amplified, not just the audio book and podcast. I am guessing I am not using this app as designed but if there was a microphone mute option I would probably give it 5 stars. The amplification of the microphone input is biased to high tones and does not provide a clear and easy to understand hearing environment. My suggestion for a hearing aid related app is a bridge between hearing aids with native iPhone connectivity to TV’s and other Bluetooth enabled audio sources. Typically this requires hearing aid specific transmitters and receivers with ~$300 price tags. Possibly this app could provide this advanced function as a premium?

Not bad. I haven’t figured out an optimal setting for me yet but so far it’s picked up the car next to me conversation when we were parked and my kids in the next room. I also picked up the clerk at the register at Dollar General and I was in the ‘card’ aisle. The only thing is a man was standing next to me in line on the phone but I couldn’t hear what the other person was saying. Not bad though, I did purchase the inapp room setting but not sure if it is making much difference!

What An Amazing Tool, Ignore the Bad Reviews. Most of the bad reviews are complaints from people who: Think the best things in life should be free. (Seriously, for this powerful app $12USD is definitely worth it) Have no patience to honor the app as they are too lazy do trial & error and play with the different values. I have no audio equalizer experience and it was confusing at first. But after sitting there fine tuning to sounds in and out - it’s astonishing of how well you can tune incoming vibrations of sound coming from far away. Must used wired headphones. Now if you connect phone via Bluetooth to another device to a speaker and then plug in headphones to that.. that works too. ANY Bluetooth device (regardless if it’s high end or not… will have latency issues with any specific app, console game , whatever. That’s BLUETOOTH. So don’t blame the app. Be wise, use patience and $12 for the full range of this app I believe is a steal. Or you can go online and find your own listening device for $30 and it doesn’t come with a recorder, and it’s not as discreet as simply holding your iPhone. Support the app and developers. The completely free version worked well, and I wanted it all. The spaces are a cool edition and can really, really help deafen unwanted background noise while listening.

Not for me. I wear hearing aids a well, but one broke, and I was hoping maybe an app could compensate. But the sound is delayed. That basically makes it impossible for me to use as a hearing aid. Not even convinced to purchase the other features as they just seem to be for fun. I still gave 3 stars because maybe it’s a good app for other purposes like secretly recording conversations in another room, but that’s not what I was after. I need real time sound. I’m just purchasing some cheap hearing aids until I can afford to get my digital one repaired.

Hearing assist. I am almost totally deaf. This is the only app that I have found that gives sufficient boost so that I can have z conversation. Frequency seems a little off so that a concert may not be in the future. An upgrade maybe??

This is just like all of the rest of them. The app give you sound and right when you go to turn up the volume because you need to hear someone from across the room the ear buds will then start to screech intensely loud and will hurt your hearing. There hasn’t been one app that can prevent that from happening and there is not an app out there that will allow you to use the service for free and keep it free to use but they are all greedy people who only what you money each week

Great app BUT.... I have downloaded numerous sound enhancers and this has by far been my favorite. What little audio I do kno has been self taught, so some of the apps are over my head or more than I’m looking to spend on something I’ll only use in my spare time. I’m satisfied w/ what the app offers after paying for the upgrade. My problem is the CONSTANT CRASHING! I’ve installed-deleted-reinstalled-restored purchases at least a dozen times!!!! If I completely get out of the app I’m unable to reopen w/out doing it all over again! I’ve dealt w/ this extremely irritating issue since my first time closing the app. I have little downtime, so wasting precious mins repeating this process is inconvenient to say the least not to mention having to write such a negative review! I really hope to give this app the 5 stars it deserves!

Powerful mechanism. I can hear throughout the building like Superman can see through walls and with my Powerbeats head phones it’s a 3D sound. It took me a second to realize it was using the mic on my headphones. Don’t turn up the volume on headphones while in listening mode trust me.... this app requires a great deal of responsibility from the user. Be careful with this power.

One of the best, but needs noise suppression. This hearing app is very responsive, and has one of the better EQ's. my only wish is that it had noise suppression, because it generates a good deal of pink noise.

Excellent.. The reason I rated this five stars is because as a person who has difficulty hearing upper range sounds I could not hear the birds singing in the morning. If I listen real carefully I can barely hear them on my own but most of the time I can not hear them. I’m living in Arizona at the moment and every morning the The birds are singing back-and-forth to each other. With the voice filter on I’m able to silence much of the background noise and I can clearly hear the birds singing. It’s amazing. I decided to test it on whispering which I cannot hear whispers. I hear a person whispering but it all mushes together. However with this app I clearly can hear the softest whisper and it’s just as amazing. I’ve already purchased unlimited use and I’m thinking about purchasing the equalizer also. I don’t understand the benefit of the different rooms so I think I won’t buy that since the way it is right now seems to be working for me very well. Thanks for a great product.

Little Sir Echo. This is an excellent product and has great sound. Everything works, but… As a hearing enhancer yo you will hear your self talking a lot louder than anything else you’re listening to. So for boosting the sound of the room around you - it’s great… For sitting in bed and listening to music or TV audio —it’s great. But if you’re having a conversation, not so much.

Ok app. Made the noises at a distance way louder than I expected, but the noises were off-beat and distorted, but you could definitely tell there was something or someone at a distance making noises. So I do recommend as a great app to play with or if u think someone is watching u but don’t want them to see you listening. It’s fun to hide your phone near them and use your Bluetooth to listen and have fun with!

Hear. This app may work for some people but it’s not working for me #1 no option to switch from headset microphone to phones microphone. #2 when you start the listening feature whatever you do don’t turn it off because it locks you out from using for 5 min witch is an ad for upgrading witch I already have done and waisted my money on. And caused me to lose lots of listening info when recording. Seems that the developer will give a response fast but nothing on my end is set wrong. I understand if there is no microphone option to switch to phones mic. Wish it had that option. As goes for the 5 min upgrade lockout I would have thought it would have gone away after I purchased the upgrades but it did not.

Doesn’t save all the time. Great app works great but doesn’t always save when I record?

My Mom can’t hear. My mom is 90 & has lost her hearing in one ear due to a Tumor, just recently her good ear is giving her troubles. I want to see if this amplifier with ear phones will help

Couldn’t get app to work —. There are no instructions. I couldn’t get amplification-only screeching. If there had been instructions perhaps I would’ve been able to learn how to use it. I purchased two in-app items. Luckily they weren’t expensive because I’ll be deleting the app.

Best apps for hard of hearing people to use frfr. I am deaf hard of hearing in both ear and sometimes I hate my battery going dead on my hearing aids so I looked into app on hearing’s aid by using your own headphones to Bluetooth to your phone and tbh this apps is the best fr💯

I can’t review effectively. So, I wish I could give an accurate review. That is impossible. There are so many features that can’t even be tried out before you pay $4.99 or $3.99. I wouldn’t pay anything like that without testing the features first to see if it’s worth it. I like the recording feature though. I went to test the listening and recording again from out of the room and couldn’t. It wanted me to wait for 5 minutes to listen again! So, here’s my review…………. The features seem like they would be cool, but I have no idea how well this app works. 😊

Don’t do it - switch & bait. If you don’t mind paying extra for each and every feature separately and not told that up front - go for it. But this app is much like having to pay extra for a steering wheel on a brand new car. Worst is the app doesn’t work correctly unless the phone screen is active (sound is echoed and duplicated the moment the screen goes black). Useless

Best app. This is the very best most AMAZING hearing app I’ve ever had and believe me I’ve gone through every single app out there and this is by far the best imagine if I paid the premium for it which I have been considering it is that good

Upgrade.. Hey I really like the app but I want you guys to upgrade the static and mic use. I love both of them and would like for the static to work on calls without me having to put the ear thing by the mic. I also want to know if you guys could make the mic a little louder?

No delay. I downloaded this to preview for a family member that had partial hearing loss. I specifically need the ability to amplify only high pitched sounds which this app provides. It is working great! Sounds are much clearer than other apps I looked at and there is no noticeable delay.

Unreliable. I tap to listen, and then I tap to record. So, I thought. Mostly, it doesn't play, and, when I transfer the file, it says the file is in an unsupported format.

Not cool that you have to wait a minute bet. Uses. I was trying this app out to use w/ bone conductive headphones (I have hearing loss). It seemed ok so I purchased the equalizer to try to improve. Now when I went to test it out a pop up came up with a minute plus countdown that I have to wait in order to use again or pay for an upgrade. I feel duped. I wish I hadn’t purchased the equalizer.

Favorite Hearing App. I absolutely love this app! You can adjust everything: the volume, tone, voice filter. It runs in the background as well. You just push the “start listening “ button and it stays on until you push it again to turn it off. Great job and kudos to the developers!

Fun with Sound. I have hearing loss due to a LOT of music performances and ear splitting recording sessions. The “SPACES” feature is really fun putting you in different spacial relationships with sound sources. And you can really crank the decibel level too but be careful of sudden loud sounds that could blow your mind! I think it’s a great app and am looking forward to trying it in speech making and even musical settings. Thanks so much. Danny M

Great app even better support. Not to get into too muxh detail but I faced a technical Difficulty with part of the paid version of the app. When I encountered this difficulty I emailed them to see what could be done about it. Their responses were prompt, courteous and got the situation solved fantastically. It’s a hold app especially for someone like me, a musician that’s slowly integrating into production which the EQ balance although very simple has been fantastic for introduction and getting My feet wet. As the title states although the app is very useful I don’t ever rate apps let alone write a what I consider lengthy review but after the fantastic support shown this is the least I can do. Highly recommend this app

Loud beeping. It worked great for the first time I used it, no lag, no issues, but every time since then when I try and use it there’s a loud sound that sounds like when you get a microphone too close to an amp. If I had that in my ears when it started I’m sure it would cause me to lose all hearing I have.

Lost my saved recordings. It worked amazing at first but then it randomly won't show my recordings and or even let me do the changes to the volume equalizer anymore even when I made a subscription

I love this app, however I can’t open it now!. I’ve been using it for a few months and everything has been dandy, except I just updated my iPhone system, I believe it’s iOS 14.4 and now it won’t open. I’ve turned my phone on and off, deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times and still stuck.., any help please!

Buzzing only. What is with hiding the prices? You need to buy the app, then the rooms add on, then the equiilizer, then 5 minutes waiting ( my account purchase was charged. Then upgrade you find out about the prices just when you hit buy. No an honest business. Not cool. I spend 15 dollars thinking it was a great app.

My hearing loss. Excellent app. I developed significant hearing loss. My hearing aids not strong enough to pick up conversation. With this app, and wired in headphones with mic, I can hear people speaking without any delays. Plus I also purchased equalizer functions, which enables me to control pitch. Great job to developers. Hearing Aid. I wear hearing aids, completely in the canal. Hear boost is not a substitute for a good quality hearing aid adjusted by an audiologists, but with the equalizer the Hear Boost app is great to have when you don’t have your hearing aids in. Can be used in conversation or listening to the television or radio. Can’t beat the upgrade and equalizer for the price! Thank you!

Can you reduce the delay?. I was classically trained on piano and string bass and taught myself other instruments. I’ve continued to play and compose as a hobby all my life. I recently have experienced hearing loss due to Meniere’s that makes it difficult to hear pitch when playing. I tried Listen mode with AirPods but the delay is too long. I downloaded the app and purchased the equalizer hoping there would be no delay. It’s much less but still too much for playing and singing while composing. This app with wired headphones works for conversation since the delay is tolerable. AirPods don’t due to the delay. The delay is tolerable when listening but I have to take the AirPods off whenever I talk, then put them back on to listen. I guess that’s why it’s called Listen mode! That’s OK for certain meetings, or a lecture, or maybe a concert - but not conversation where you are talking. Of course you have to use wired earbuds or headphones.

Listening. For what it’s for if one of the best Apps I never expected such quality I definitely recommend it thank you

Useless. Installed this app, paid to upgrade, and started recording. I stopped the recording to move to a different area because it was “boosting” the sound of anything but my breathing. Smh When I went to record it told me I couldn’t record for 5 minutes!! Seriously. I pay to upgrade and I have to wait five minutes in between recordings!?? Absolutely ridiculous and useless. I should dispute the charge because I feel like I got nothing for what I paid for.

Free trial is worthless. If you try it for 10 seconds they make you wait 5 minute to try it again. Ridiculous. All I learned from the trial version is that they want you to upgrade. Upgrade to what? There’s no opportunity to try. I deleted it and will try something else.

Some good and some bad. It works how I want it to, but it’s incredibly frustrating that I need to wait 5 minutes between uses, why make us pay for the ability to use a free app, it’s a jerk move and seems like you’re desperate for money, I understand the in app purchase for other features, but an in app purchase that lets you use the MAIN FEATURE is a problem

Sounds like everyone is in a well. I read the reviews and the app designer’s suggestions for problems. I’m pretty sure I was doing everything correctly, but there wasn’t any amplification, and an occasional loud pop made it unusable. I could literally hear much better when I simply removed my Raycons from my ears. I would normally try to find something good to say at this point, but I got nothin’.

Great but…. it's a great app, it's better than your spy, and your spy was a super listener let me tell you, but this app is even better, but you're probably wondering, I get to the point, why did you read it three stars and why did you say great but? I said this because, I do not want to have to use the microphone on my Bluetooth headset, it is not very good, I would like an option to use the microphone on my phone even though I have a Bluetooth headset connected, I can do that with your spy, also, I do not like that you have to wait before you can listen again, or Pay the price for an upgrade.

Purchased all upgrades and cannot hear the TV. I purchased every possible upgrade and tested it on the TV. I cannot hear a word and I tried to adjust the headphones volume to all levels and once I hit start listening and the equalizer is brought up I hit the blue stop listening but it doesn’t stop. I also hit record twice yet no recordings available. The only way I can “stop listening” is to shrink the app. I looked for an online tutorial but had no luck... very frustrating

Helping with neighbors. My neighbors dog at this point is being used as a harassment tool. So I have the very crystal clear frequencies and duration of every single time their dog barks. I love this app and can’t wait to use this recordings in a court of law against my neighbor for harassment and disturbing the peace. Thank you!!

Processing Delay. Can't use this app. The processed signal is delayed from the direct sound resulting in a strong echo effect with wired earphones. The author warns that bluetooth earphones have delay, so it's apparent he intends for users to wear earphones, but as I mentioned above, even with wired earphones, the delay renders the app unusable as the author intends. Aside from that, the app appears to be well designed and implemented, but just not usable with earphones.

Like it. Works well. Nice clean interface. Two issues though - after receiving a call with it on, the audio was all choppy. The IAP price for just an EQ is a bit steep. There are lots of music/audio apps out there that do more for this price.

Cutting In and Out. Could not listen to anything, was not going to purchase until I could guarantee it actually worked.

I just tried this app with the headphones (like you recommended on the app) instead of listening to all of the squeals and possibly ruining my ears, and it’s the perfect eavesdropping app! I love it! The one thing about it that is a bit annoying is how I need to wait 5 minutes every time I stop listening. But it’s okay! Keep up the good work!

Crashing. Works good for me however the app keeps crashing please fix this

App Not Working. I can only hear myself using this app and extremely loud garbled sounds, is there any way to fix this, have the paid version as well.

Really good, however. I get feedback when using my wireless Bluetooth earbuds. I have two high quality pair of earbuds but still get feedback the more I turn the volume up on the app. I’d be willing to buy this product but I’d like to know how to fix this or find a work around so I can put it to 200x Any suggestions? Amplified surrounding sounds. It enhances the surrounding sounds but it can’t be controlled or fine tuned.

To many hidden purchases.. First 3.99 to use equalizer then 4.99 to use Spaces then more $$$$$ to not be shut out for five minutes after every use. Very dishonest. Crooks!!!!!! Free App - IEavesdrop is much better. Developer gave nasty response to my review. This is how crooks do. Zero integrity.

Great For Recording ASMR. I love this app. However, I paid for the IAP to use the Equalizer and I still can’t use it, it’s still asking me to pay.

To good to be true. Loved the app for 5 min and quit working even after I made a purchase tried on 2 Apple phones !!! Tried rebooting nothing worked. Hope they enjoy my money.

Doesn't open on iPhone 11 max pro. It doesn't open on iPhone 11 max pro it just crashes. I was contacted by support and told to restart my phone I did and it still doesn't work.

Horrible for TV watching. I downloaded this so I could boost the sound of the TV without driving my wife out of the room. It does not work well. Voices are garbled like listening under water. Voice setting does not help. Very disappointed.

Cyber stalkers worst nightmare.. Cyberstalking use this to hear high and low frequency sounds that most don’t hear . Know if someone is listening to u with a stalker app and record them...

Good amplification of sound. Sound clarity is good however there is a delay in the sound reaching the ear buds. There is an estimated one second delay.

Does not work. All you hear is static noise. Hopefully customer service will get back to me and teach me how it works. Otherwise I will delete this app soon!

Charged and I don’t want it. I was testing this app for an event I attended. I managed to somehow add an extra charge on accident and I keep getting the $5 charged on an empty card. Can I please cancel this?

Nothing but high pitched static. I tried this using Sony Bluetooth headphones and for some reason it wouldn’t play the audio through headphones, just the phone and all I heard was a loud high pitched tone. There’s no option to choose what audio output source you want to use.

Good amplifier not many free functions. Only function you get is the volume increase. It amplifies. But you have to purchase full version to get any of the cool features

Awesome!. I did not think this would work... but it did!

Limited. Works if you have top of the line headphones but still picks up too much ambient sounds. Lots of echo and the sense of talking in a tunnel. I am giving up and deleting the app.

Super Delayed. Audio is about a half a second off from reality which makes this actually almost useless.

Can’t even use. I don’t know if it isn’t for a 7s plus but every time I go to use the app it just does this weird space out and closes, checked everywhere to see if it was compatible but couldn’t find a single clue. If it isn’t compatible with something they need to say on the main page.
