Peech: Text to Speech Reader App Reviews

Awesome audible alternate!!. I was not expecting to be able to actually listen to audio books on this app without a subscription! My friend recommended this app to me since I have dyslexia which makes it much harder for me to read and I’m so happy she recommended this to me! I’ve been reading the hunger games and it would usually take me about 4-8 minutes to read 2 pages but now it only takes 2-4 minutes to read 2 pages! I definitely recommend this app for girlies like me!

Super Useful, But Not User Friendly. This is helping me a lot!! I’m an editorial intern and I love reading and writing but my dyslexia makes it very difficult to really enjoy. This has a dyslexia friendly font you can use, has natural sounding voices, and is helpful for my needs! I do wish it would let me change the voices for who’s reading. I’ve found for some reason it helps my comprehension for a feminine voice to read sometimes and other times a masculine voice helps more. I’m sure it’s user error on my end but I can’t find where to change the voices and customize my experience.

Not great. I take clear pictures of my book with good lighting, but the app still doesn’t read the pages right. It skips sentences/words, or it doesn’t even say the right words: sometimes it’ll even put random words where they aren’t supposed to be. I made sure the pictures weren’t blurry and that you could clearly see the words. I’m not sure why I’m having this issue.

Peech. I love this app. I’m in school and I’m the type of person who needs to read something five times before I comprehend it. Though when I listen to something I only need to listen once. This makes my work so much more accessible.

Peech. Honestly I give this app a 5 star rating because I got my wisdom teeth removed and I couldn’t read so that helped a lot and also I feel like I get more. Information when I hear more then I do when I read it out loud to my self

Third time’s a charm. Editing my review because for certain webpages, it does not download the entire webpage. It downloads in the middle. So when I start listening, I will hear “in the previous section you learned“ but I have no idea what was in the previous section because it was not downloaded. This is a major flaw has happened about, 5% of the time. Please advise on how to fix. Thank you.

What happened?. I loved this app until yesterday. For months it reliably read all the documents I uploaded, in a consistent and easily understood voice. Then yesterday, it added cheesy muzak to the background—the same horrible song over and over—and multiple tinny voices are going back and forth reading the same document for no apparent reason and to no benefit whatsoever. Please fix these changes. I’m a paid subscriber and the app is now unusable.

Awesome app! Just some feedback/suggestions for future updates:. Hi there! The app is really nice, and I’m enjoying listening to my writing/fanfics with it. With that said, I have some suggestions! - Pronunciation tab, or a way for it to take from the set pronunciations I have in my phone. Because it mispronounces a bunch of words/names, so if I could have an ability to set pronunciations for it to use, that would be helpful! - Reading options/settings in general? Just saying cuz I don’t like how it’ll take a really slow pace on short sentences, but it goes at a nicer pace on longer ones, and I wanna change that, because it really bugs me. - I’d like a way to make edits to the text after importing, because sometimes with line breaks for dialogue it’ll just delete the line break, and smash them into one paragraph, which kind of annoys me. - Maybe add a highlight to show me what it’s reading? Just on the sentence. Would be helpful! If you could do some of that, or at least consider it, I would really appreciate it! And otherwise from those glaring little flaws, it’s a really nice tts app, and I’m enjoying using it! ^^

Love the article choices!. The medium articles are great! And I know a lot of them are written from many REAL people other than large corporations so I love it!! The voice was decent too, wasn’t too robotic, very similar to siri. I do wish the app opened with the articles rather than my library because it was a bit confusing seeing a blank screen haha. Either way, still a cool app to learn things on the go.

I love it but. What’s the difference between the plans? (Ie what’s the difference between a weekly plan costing $4.99 and one costing $7.99? What extra features come with the other plans?)

Works very well. I’ve compared Peech to 5 of the other top text-to-voice apps. My primary use is listening to articles on news web sites (such as NYT, Washington Post, etc). As a whole, it works the best for me. First, while there is only one voice available, it is as good or better than all the other voices I’ve used in the other apps. It’s natural sounding and clear. More importantly, the speaker does not pause or stop in the middle of an article as it does in most all of the other apps. It also doesn’t drain your battery or make your phone hot as it does in other apps with longer articles. My biggest complaint is that it doesn’t work with the Washington Post, though converting the article to a PDF and loading the PDF does work. Finally, it would be nice if there was more control of the ordering of library items and if you could toggle on/off whether the app automatically reads the next article in the list. But overall, highly recommended.

Great App for students!. Peech is really helpful if you have something long that you have to read and you really need to save some time it can cut down on that extensive reading/notetaking. It really helps! I would recommend it to students :)

Amazing app & SIMPLE. I tried other apps before this, like speechify which costed $135 if using past the 3 day trial. So far Peech is free. & provided exactly what I downloaded it for. I’ll update when I’ve used it longer. But so far so frickin good!

Went downhill. The app was great in the beginning but after using it for about 3 weeks it no longer paused at the end of sentences, or paused in the middle of a sentence. Was hard to keep up with so reading it on my own was easier. I thought I had too much on there so I deleted some things to see if that would help & but instead it stopped allowing me to copy paste what I was wanting to listen to.

I honestly don't know yet. It looks polished and I love the idea, but after signing up I was quickly whooshed away here to give this review. So I really haven't even gotten my feet wet yet. It looks professional and prom. Here's hoping🤞 (Hence the 3 stars.. haven't realised it's potential yet nor seen its demise [update] I added on the AI bot, Essence and I am excited to see if this can significantly boost productivity.

Urgently. Pls can you guys help me out. Is there a way to change voice or is the voice default in Peech. There was a voice I was using to read out my text but recently it was changed to a weird unfamiliar voice. Not used to thr change.

Disappointed. I was so excited when I saw this app. I’m losing my vision but I love to read. This seemed like the perfect option. I tried at least a dozen different locations for adding a book, different websites, reading apps, files, documents, and none of it would play. Some of the options would save to Peech, some didn’t. But even the ones I was initially able to save to the app still weren’t able to play and it kept telling me to remove the file. I’m not sure what I’m suppose to read if I can’t access anything with the app.

Really smart idea!. This app is such a great concept! Makes it easy to do everything I want to do all in one. Great way to multi task. This app would be so useful with school. It can read to you while you’re doing work!

Very convenient and simple to use. I love that I can read articles from the web with audio. It allows me to get home chores done while Getting my reading done from all kinds of articles. The only feature I would add would be to adjust the speed of reading. Otherwise, great app and good voices.

Best word to audio app!. This is by far my favorite app that can turn words into audio. Now I can listen to my favorite articles and blogs while I’m working out! Love love this app!

Don’t love the new update. The app suddenly changed voices in the middle of a document I was listening to. Now it seems to try to change voices depending on the gender of whoever is speaking? However, it gets it wrong a lot of the time and it’s distracting. I wish I knew this change was coming and had the option to switch back to the old voice, as this one doesn’t even work properly. There isn’t any way to report an issue in the app (at least I couldn’t find it) so don’t know what to do other than leave a review. Other than this new update, I do love the app… hopefully it’s resolved soon. UPDATE: The app is now also playing music too?? Not at all what I would want hahaha. The changing voices is extremely distracting, even when they’re the “right” gender. Bummed I paid for this.

can’t manage to find any sort of customer support. I have been trying to find a way I can get in contact with some sort of customer support but can’t manage to find anything. they automatically charged the $81 subscription after my free trial ended. I cannot afford this subscription nor do I really need it. I would still want to keep my subscription for a month or two and pay that fee instead but I don’t need it for a year. I’m really desperate to find some sort of help I really don’t want to have to dispute.

Exactly what you’re expecting and more!. The voice is pretty cool and very understandable, it scans texts and links perfectly, and the fact that it understands other languages besides English is pretty useful as well! The only thing I think is kind of lacking is the UI, it isn’t exactly intuitive and a bit too saturated with colors and information for my taste, other than that, it is exactly what they promise and more :)

sounds WAYYY better then most reading apps. this app is better then others because when the ai is reading it doesn't sound uncanny and robotic. this app is really good i would recommend, plus u really don't have to pay for it either

Amazing app. I love this app it allows me to get multiple tasks done at a time! I recently found a love in reading but with the gym, household duties and work it makes it hard but with this app I can listen to an article or any text and also be able to do other tasks! Amazing app

Good idea with so far poor execution.. Trying to imitate a number of apps but barely succeeds in any functionality it promises to deliver. The main feature of this app should be an ability to read for you different articles and basic text but the reading voice is terrible compering to what out there. No punctuation, very basic and monolithic, “made in 1999”, with no option to choose a different voice or adjust, just a speed. You much better of to use build-in iPhone features, including reading for you any text of your choice, and it’s totally free. Maybe for some it’s a great app, for me definitely far from paying for it. I wouldn’t use it even for free.

Just wondering. Is there a way to highlight words as it read and a why to just click on particular part to read just that part alone instead of reading the whole page?

Super helpful!!!. I get really sleepy whenever I read books for some reason even though I love to read, so this app has honestly been so helpful to me keeping me up and able to listen to each page without getting sidetracked. also the app is really clear and easy to use. I like the feature where you can save post from Twitter and have it read back to you. Totally recommend.

Love the app hate the new voice :(. This used to be my favorite text to speech app to the point where I actually paid for the subscription. This was because I absolutely loved the AI voice. But they've updated it with a new voice and I just can't get behind it. I tried to be open minded but its so grating to the ears and the tone is really weird and uncanny. I'm begging the devs to please change it back or give users the option to choose what voice we want.

Amazing Homework App. This app is not just amazing for reading things to you. It can also scan school textbooks to help find which one and read those to you as well. Very easy app to get around and a couple simple clicks and you’ve got yourself a whole novel of any book you want, any article you missed and wanted to catch up, and any homework help. 10/10 app! I highly recommend!

Read things wrong and stopped working. It made up a lot of words scanning documents, every two pages, 1/2 to the full page was wrong. I ignored it for awhile & read the page on my own (what was missed until it caught up). Then, the app eventually wouldn’t save my scanned documents anymore. I tried multiple times, even deleting and downloading the app again. I have like 2 1/2 weeks left of my month subscription. It’s very frustrating and disappointing. A good idea, I just wish it worked better.

The Best App Ever! I love this App!. This app is very great! This is better than Speechify! I love the voices and how clear it reads! I’m a senior in college and getting my B.A soon and this helps with my E-Books for clear understanding of the text! I can now get through chapters faster with this app! The text speech is awesome! Peech review. I love this app you can take a photo of what page do you need help with or you’re bored or are you lazy? And you want them to read it for you the real perfectly you should try this. Thank you for inventing this app.

Did something change?. Could have sworn there were more voice options on this app. The one voice I have available is definitely good, just thought there were more.

This was amazing. This was a big help in doing homework. It cut my reading time and a half especially when I was on a time crunch.. The only thing I have to say is it gets a bit confusing when you accidentally snap some thing that you already snapped and it reads it more than once but besides that, I definitely recommend

No precise pricing schedule. I love the app however couldn’t get a precise price for a used subscription. They have one year Prescription premium for $59/$69/$99 all three is one year premium. There is no explanation as to what you get with each one. I spoke with a representative and he said it depends on the length of service. All three of these were premium one year so what’s the difference? I don’t know.

Warm robotically accurate voice. The playback is 100% accurate. It turns a text into a podcast. There is something lost, and something gained whenever technology breaks new ground🫶this app does it well.

Best ocr scanner and read aloud app but too expensive. Drop the price to $1-$2 a month or one time purchase at $30 and I’ll buy in…but why would I spend $100 every, single, year, FOREVER, for this when I could continue using adobe scan + acrobat to do the same job for FREE????…granted peech is better, but not that much better

Very good voices, great controls, decent prices. I’ve compared to several other more expensive text-to-speech apps that advertise their “natural” voices. Peech is at least as good. Great for long difficult books.

Best text to speech!. I’ve tried quite a few text to speech apps and this one by far is the best! I’ve tried paid and unpaid apps and Peech beats em by far! I use it to read ebooks that don’t have audiobooks and it works well. There’s a few mispronunciations but for the most part it reads great and easy to understand.

Wish there was a female voice option. I love the boys I think it’s awesome and great to understand easily, however, being a female, I wish there was a female voice option. Whenever I am typing something up and converting it to this to be read to someone, I prefer them to hear it in a woman’s voice not a man’s since it’s supposed to be for me.

Great way to turn my hardcover books into audiobooks. I love using Peech! It makes consuming my fictional novels much more exciting and enjoyable! It also helps me get through my novels at a much quick pace.

A Good App. I would appreciate some feedback to this comment, as the response will influence wether or not I resubscibe. I was pleased with the App during my free trail. It performed well and did exactly what I wanted it too. Now that I am looking at the yearly plans I am confused. Why are there three different prices? I would like to know what I’m paying for. Please clarify this as I would like to start using this app again ASAP.

False advertisement. I saw this app on tik tok and decided to try it out. It says it’s free and you don’t need to purchase the premium to use the app. But when I wen in the app and took a picture of my page. It didn’t even read what was on the page and gave me 5 seconds of nonsense to here. If the app was free and actually read what was on the page it would be 10/10

Way better than SPEECHIFY!. I oayed the Year subscription for speechify and currently the application is always crashing. This app though functions well if not better.

Why??. Your app was great, why did you have to change it? Why change the voice? Perhaps is me but I can’t figure out how to change back to the voice I had. Also why add having two different voices read the articles and then having each voice read half a sentence and switch to another voice in the middle of the paragraph, why?. And that background music that you added, what in the world were you thinking. Please switch it back or add the ability for the user to do it. Or maybe just explain to me how to do it.

5/5 study tool. I love using this app to study, as someone with adhd I find it hard to study by just reading from a book but with this app all I have to do is listen! It’s greatly improved my grades this semester and I’ll definitely be continuing to use it!

The app is “free” but you can’t do anything without buying premium. I got to literally a page before it stopped working and told me I need to buy premium for any audio to continue.

Average, at best. Voice does not read in logical sense, not pausing between paragraphs, or applying grammatical tone. Very hard to keep track of. Waste of money.

So Helpful !. I’m loving the Peech app, even though I’ve only recently started using it as I’ve been able to both copy text from emails & online as well as scan text by taking photos of a book I’m reading so that the app can read the content out loud for me. I have little spare time for reading these days at present so having this app at my fingertips is so helpful !

My book (girl in pieces). I have never enjoyed something more the this app because I can sleep while listening and I can do art which I love while listening

A+++. It’s a good app and so easy to use . I thought it was going to read out loud like a robot but it read it out like a story telling Book .

No free trial and.... I donwloaded this and was offered a 3 days "Free Trial" but when trying to process the free trial it was declined as there were insufficient funds... so, it wanted my money before i got a free trial. Also not all the listed In App Purchases are available.

Good. It’s good. the voice is quiet natural for a ai voice. I however only seem to be able to get a female voice with no way of being able to change it, at least one that I can find. I tend to prefer male voices

File organization not so good. Good app but it would be better if you could make a file with the same book in it or have it read it in order you select. Might have to cancel if that’s not a thing.

Not worth the price. I really like the app I just can’t justify paying 28 bucks a month it’s way to expensive for what it is and that’s why I won’t buy it. If it was cheaper or I could pay a reasonable price for the year then I would cause I loved the app but it’s not worth the price that’s a for sure !

Sofia’s. this actually helps you listen to any book you’re reading in irl ,and it can also translate it into the same language that you’re reading in.

There is room for improvement but it’s good.. I wish we could choose exactly where we want it to start since we are paying for it but it’s a good app.

Hate It !. Misleading advertisement showing taking the picture of the cover and the whole book downloads. I call B S. You have to sit there and scan each page. I could probably read the pages faster than this. Very disappointed.

Doesn’t always work. I like the app when it works, but quite often mid read it will just say ‘Sorry, can’t play this item right now’. Usually I can close the app and re open it, but laity that doesn’t even work. Right now it’s doing that to three different books, super frustrating.

Pet peeves. I wonder how one is supposed to give a good review when all they have done is OPEN THthe app. Every app out there is guilty. Once I have tried the app and actually have an opinion I will write a proper review. God bless.,

really helpful app. I have dyslexia, which i have been struggling with for years. This app has help me out greatly for school and work. Especially with it being free. As well as it being cheap if you do get the premium and pay yearly

Once I got a real person (G) thank you. Was having issues with technology gone wrong and getting double billed & not able to access account to cancel. I tried to contact multiple ways with no headway. I got a response from a fantastic angel of a customer service person and got my refund. I will try PEECH again a later date.

Pricey and they charge you automatically. The app charges you for the membership within hours of the three day trial, which is therefore a hoax. The voice is like any other tts and the app could be easier to navigate/use. Errors are not correctable. They don't seem to accept mobi or epub files. Contacting them is very difficult.

Worst experience. It’s pricy, takes forever to download documents IF you’re even able to download the documents, blends words together doesn’t consider paragraphs while reading.

Unfair Trial Fees. I’ve never seen this before, but they charge a seven dollar set up fee for the trial version. Is this even legal?

Scam. Do not purchase scam - can’t upload documents and can’t even cancel the subscription

Bad App. I uploaded my pdf file almost 10 times. First of all it takes so much time for processing the document and when your file is ready to listen then you can enjoy but if you close the app and then start it again then your whole fine gonna be corrupted and you can't enjoy your novel again. No one can read the whole novel of almost 10000 pages in one go and no one can just use just this app till the novel finished. I paid for my membership that i will enjoy my file here but its the worst app. I need my money back.

Don’t pmo. I struggle with reading so much and I was so excited to have an app that would read my book to me so I wouldn’t have to stress about school while dealing with a million other things at once only for five minutes in it cut off and tell me I need to pay. I’ve never been more frustrated in my life. Could you at least mention you need to pay before I spend my time setting up the app?

Headers and Footers. Would be nice to have an option to delete Headers and Footers directly on the app. Overall it is an okay tool.

Rip Off. Not user friendly. Difficult to discontinue subscription.

Voices. Criticized the lack of voice options in the past, but they’ve improved recently. Looking forward to them adding more but it’s a huge improvement.

Misleading and hard to cancel. This app was grossly misleading about capabilities. There are hardly any books to fully upload to the app, otherwise you have to scan them in page by page. I was hoping to be able to upload university texts and all the personal development books I own so I could listen while driving, but not a single one could be uploaded fully, just the book description. Additionally, I can’t find a cancellation link anywhere. I removed my user account, but was still charged. I’ve addressed via email, but any app or program that doesn’t offer a cancellation link is sketchy.

Amazing!. Peech is going to revolutionize the future students study for a test and revise over work! My only note is an option to change the main voice! I personally really enjoy listening to a female voice over a man’s.

I paid for three months access but no go. I'm not sure what's happening. The first article that I had it scan won't highlight and let me listen to it. I closed the app I signed in again and it's telling me that I need to pay more to listen to it

Amazing. This app is very easy to navigate and use. The voice that reads is good but i wish that we had choices on the kinds of voices and different languages. Otherwise amazing!!

Efficient!. This app makes it so much easier for me to finish my school readings and give me time to catch up on other work or to go to sleep earlier 😭😂. I love adjusting the speed and go from 16hours reading a mandatory book to 7 hours!!

gibberish. i like this app but when i listen to the thing i upload the ai person thing messes up the words and starts speaking gibberish.

Review. I have a lot of the ai voice generating apps. Many limit size of file to read which is annoying. Pee h is the best of the best. I am just wondering why it is less often upgraded than say speechify or web out loud?

Love it for reading my Kindle library. It opens your entire Kindle library and can read anything I throw at it. I’d just like to see more voices and color themes. Great job!

Bait and switch. I can’t recommend Peech because I feel it’s it’s a bait and switch. After paying $7.99 for a 1 week trial and choosing my preferences before making the payment I later find that my selections are not utilized. I chose an AI generated male voice and I’m locked into a female voice unless I pay more money to change my selections and upgrade to a higher package of features and controls. I’m very disappointed!

Predatory. Warning: Avoid the Peech App Signing up for the Peech app is something I strongly advise against. If you do, be prepared to monitor your subscription closely. Their practices remind me of the old CD clubs from the ’80s—except at least those programs actually sent you something for your money. Peech, on the other hand, will gladly take your payment without so much as an email notification. Worse, their charges don’t appear in your Apple Subscriptions, which is exactly why I completely forgot about this app. When I contacted their support team to explain that I never received notice and asked for a refund, they simply didn’t care. Bottom line: Do NOT use this service. Do NOT trust them with your credit card. They do NOT care about their customers. Stay away.

Made studying less overwhelming. As a med student, I have a lot of content to review in such little time! Incorporating Peech into my routine has made studying less overwhelming and I get so much more done in less time!

So Helpful!. I listen to all my books now, great for students, great if you learn best through auditory processing. Highly recommend to all! Great voice options and speed options, easy to use. Love this app!

Very good. Easy to use. I am enjoying some pdfs and books. My only complaint is that I am unable to switch voices. I needed more time to test the voices to see which one I like and I would like to use different voices for different passages.

Peech. Honestly I give this app a 5 star rating because I got my wisdom teeth removed and I couldn’t read so that helped a lot and also I feel like I get more. Information when I hear more then I do when I read it out loud to my self

…. It actually reads whatever you want it to and I love the fact that you can choose the pace it reads in and the person reading doesn’t have that annoying reading tone great app

I love the app. I really love the app. It makes learning so easy. I can convert my books into Audio and listen on the go. I am able to cover more ground in record time. Then I can listen again and again to increase retention: I really love it

Third time’s a charm. Editing my review because for certain webpages, it does not download the entire webpage. It downloads in the middle. So when I start listening, I will hear “in the previous section you learned“ but I have no idea what was in the previous section because it was not downloaded. This is a major flaw has happened about, 5% of the time. Please advise on how to fix. Thank you.

Kudos to Customer Service. Customer service was excellent. I cancelled my subscription, because I wasn’t using it. (I currently listen to 20-30 audiobooks a month already, and couldn’t justify another subscription.)

Really smart idea!. This app is such a great concept! Makes it easy to do everything I want to do all in one. Great way to multi task. This app would be so useful with school. It can read to you while you’re doing work!

Busted website bad billing. I signed up, it didn’t work. I tried to cancel but website said no active account. I was unable to cancel but they still found a way to run my card for months. They offered nothing beyond saying ok it won’t be charged anymore. Used the service for only 1/2 a day when I signed up months ago. They surely can see it wasn’t ever used again. Major scam. Don’t do it!!

Not great. I take clear pictures of my book with good lighting, but the app still doesn’t read the pages right. It skips sentences/words, or it doesn’t even say the right words: sometimes it’ll even put random words where they aren’t supposed to be. I made sure the pictures weren’t blurry and that you could clearly see the words. I’m not sure why I’m having this issue.

Good stuff. If you don’t want to read the whole book you should get this app and download it from the app on your phone or tablet or something

Great way to turn my hardcover books into audiobooks. I love using Peech! It makes consuming my fictional novels much more exciting and enjoyable! It also helps me get through my novels at a much quick pace.

Very good voices, great controls, decent prices. I’ve compared to several other more expensive text-to-speech apps that advertise their “natural” voices. Peech is at least as good. Great for long difficult books.

Unsubscribing is difficult. App works well and text to speech is great. The book summary feature is useful for limited time reading. Nowhere under profile is it obvious where to unenroll in services. Difficult to disable repeat payment or credit card info.

Went downhill. The app was great in the beginning but after using it for about 3 weeks it no longer paused at the end of sentences, or paused in the middle of a sentence. Was hard to keep up with so reading it on my own was easier. I thought I had too much on there so I deleted some things to see if that would help & but instead it stopped allowing me to copy paste what I was wanting to listen to.

Pj. They have made it so confusing that you don’t know what you’re signing up for. I signed up for the free seven day and then they charged me $29 when it looked like it was only going to be $13 a month but no it’s $29 a month and now you can’t get in touch with Customer Service. They don’t have a number and they will not let you send them an email to tech-support.

5/5 study tool. I love using this app to study, as someone with adhd I find it hard to study by just reading from a book but with this app all I have to do is listen! It’s greatly improved my grades this semester and I’ll definitely be continuing to use it!

DO NOT PURCHASE. Every other text to talk app that you have to pay a premium for allows you to pick a voice, which is how it should be if you have to pay. The app oscillates between a woman & man’s voice to which you have zero control over. Pretty ridiculous given you have to pay to use the app. The back & forth between the voices is extremely distracting. Go with a free app instead.

Warm robotically accurate voice. The playback is 100% accurate. It turns a text into a podcast. There is something lost, and something gained whenever technology breaks new ground🫶this app does it well.

This app is so good download it. This app is so good especially for people when they read just start reading with their eyes it helps me understand and focus. Thank you for this app

It’s ok. Just not using it like I thought I would. Most of the things I read take less time to read than it takes to get the text over to Peech.

I love it but. What’s the difference between the plans? (Ie what’s the difference between a weekly plan costing $4.99 and one costing $7.99? What extra features come with the other plans?)

Amazing app & SIMPLE. I tried other apps before this, like speechify which costed $135 if using past the 3 day trial. So far Peech is free. & provided exactly what I downloaded it for. I’ll update when I’ve used it longer. But so far so frickin good!

Parenthetical Espanol. I haven't bought it yet. I've cried it out, and I would like to buy it, but there is a distracting feature or glitch in which all items in parentheses are red in Spanish. I'm reading a legal document that has citations in parentheses so I need to find a way to get it all in English.

Don’t bother…. I paid for three months at a discount (roughly $15). What I got was 5 minutes to listen to text that I had to copy and paste into Peech. I’m not sure what I purchased. I assumed that an app that is specifically tailored for dictating text would have said feature when you purchase a plan. Nope! I seriously have not clue what this app is for because it obviously is not to dictate text-to-speech…

Calming. This app grounded me in the chaos. It’s very good for times you want to read a story but don’t have the energy to read. Excellent stuff, but yeah, you gotta have a subscription to really experience what makes it great.

Just wondering. Is there a way to highlight words as it read and a why to just click on particular part to read just that part alone instead of reading the whole page?

Not ready yet!. This app is far from ready as there are many glitches and it rarely actually is able to download a document to be read aloud. Also I’ve tried several times to get help through their email system. The emails don’t go through. I am trying to cancel this and try it again some other time. But right now there are better platforms out there.

Did something change?. Could have sworn there were more voice options on this app. The one voice I have available is definitely good, just thought there were more.

Like fingernails on a chalkboard. If you are an appreciater of the lovely sound of the Enflish language pronounced correctly stay away from this app. It will annoy you no end. I could not even make it through one chapter. It doesn't matter whose "voice" you choose it's still robotic sounding. Incorrect homophones are used. Punctuation is overemphasized or ignored. Of course, few proper nouns are pronounced correctly, but that is forgivable. AI still has a LONG way to go before it can replace a human reading a book.

Don’t do it. They make it impossible to cancel. Product works okay. But I don’t need it anymore and there is no way to cancel. They say its in the apple subscriptions but its not. And they say its probably under another email address, its not, there has only ever been one email address associated with this account. They will continue to charge until I cancel the card it’s attached to.

Peech. I love this app. I’m in school and I’m the type of person who needs to read something five times before I comprehend it. Though when I listen to something I only need to listen once. This makes my work so much more accessible.

Not there yet. Just not there yet. I get that this is difficult from a technological standpoint, but without steeper investment it’s not usable. It’s better than nothing, but there are still many interjections of captions, page numbers, headers etc. It’s close, but if it doesn’t work it doesn’t work so cost is fully unjustified. Kind of like an electric car that can only go 5 miles.

Canceling before trial. I agreed to do this for 7 days thinking I could easily cancel. The Peech app didn’t do what I wanted it to so I tried to cancel and it is nearly impossible to do. Very disingenuous and disappointing.

Unsubscribe with difficult Sept25. I am unable unsubscribe link within the Application. Apple has no record of PEECH inside “My Apps”. {Unsubscribe with torture}. Feedback : Not all my reading materials are in PDF and uploading of photos is cumbersome when the book is in large text for elderly adults. I need to take more shots. Voice changes randomly while the App reads to you.

Best word to audio app!. This is by far my favorite app that can turn words into audio. Now I can listen to my favorite articles and blogs while I’m working out! Love love this app!

Very disappointed. I was very disappointed the the application didn’t work out for me. Because it said that it converted e-books, but not in the way that I thought it would. I really wanted to help me convert my Kindle library and text that I am able to download from my library app, but was told it’s not part of the system

Support is speedy and super- helpful. I had a couple of questions about how to integrate the app into my daily personal use cases and support responded with a helpful, detailed response within minutes. Thanks, Peech!

Great for a few chapters. I installed this and downloaded 4 or 5 of my Kindle books. It worked great for a few chapters then would stop working. After 3 days it wouldn’t play any of my books at all. Emailed support twice and they have the problem under review. I’m just going to uninstall and cancel. Hopefully they will get their app working properly soon and I can try again.

Peech review. I love this app you can take a photo of what page do you need help with or you’re bored or are you lazy? And you want them to read it for you the real perfectly you should try this. Thank you for inventing this app.

Great support. I contacted customer support with some questions and issues I had, they replied to me within minutes, gave me clear and helpful answers. Resolved all my concerns and questions. Great work, great app, greatly appreciated.

Nope. Impossible to Cancel. I was willing to give it a try but found it just wasn’t for me. So I went to Apple and canceled the first month. Remember where it says “cancel any time.” I was charged in June, though my Apple Account shows canceled May 13. I applied through Apple for a refund. Now I have been charged again for July. There is NO customer service. Don’t do it. I will still try through Apple but it’s hard to cancel what has been canceled.

Cannot unsubscribe and cannot cancel. They charge you just fine. Then when you want to cancel, you cannot. Try using their support email and it will not send, only offers to save draft or delete draft. Someone contact me from Peech, so I can cancel without being charged again and again. If I used it, it would be fine. I have not used it. I tried it out one time and it is too much for me.
