Power curve issues defeat the charm. Update: (on top of the last review. Game freezes when a card is tapped during an animation. The bots in the game have level 5-7-9 cards, while I’m coasting at level 1-2-3, maybe 4? I’m not even a free to play player! It doesn’t matter if the bot has the same deck size as you if all their cards are buffed to legendary stats. I can’t even play the solo campaign) There are now twice as many commanders ( twice as many decks), but my rank is still the same as my best deck? I get blown up with no way of practicing the new decks. All the new content basically doesn’t exist because I can’t use it. The new event that maxes out your cards… how do I even know which cards to pick now? If you’re changing the numbers of EVERY CARD I OWN- reduce the challenge curve so I can at least try to win. When I pick an attack. Don’t load for 5 seconds just to start playing the animation. I’m sorry for the coders and the workers behind this project. Games Workshop the Corporation isn’t giving their workers the resources to create a good game and it shows

Unforgivable. This game is awesome, I enjoy playing this game may be a little bit too much. But when the game decides you’ve been winning too much or your ranking is too high it really hits you and makes you lose a few in the row to knock you back down and give you a gut check. Seems to do it when you have great cards in your deck your going up against someone who has a lower ranking than you and maybe not as good of cards. Overall, I very much enjoy it

Pay to win card game….really?. This game is so pay to win got past the tutorial and what was behind the tutorial nothing but defeat after defeat after defeat against people who you can tell have put hundreds of dollars into the game for example I was playing against someone who had a few weak psy cards and I thought “hey maybe I’ll finally win a game” nope killed on and what did the guy have a card that has 150 in gun and 100 in melee and one shot everyone I had. Yea this is a game not for anyone casual so unless your a over competitive player oh spends money like no tomorrow then this is the game for you

Grind and Die rinse repeat…unless u pay. It’s fun at times, but when u start going on a losing streak which happens most often its not as fun. This is clearly a PAY 2 WIN game and most of the time u will be matched with someone who put their life savings into the game. These type of games thrive on people who hate losing and have lots of money. “Im too rich to be a loser!” Is the mindset of some of these players. That’s how these games make so much money. It’s all about ego. “I may be worthless in life, but at least I’m number 1 in my game.” Is also a mindset of some of these players. I’m also sure that there are some players that will pay for their wins instead of pay for their food. Just know that if u don’t want to pay, it will be a long grind. And u will lose a lot. There will be times where the matchmaking works and u have an even match. That’s when the game shines. IMO matchmaking should look at the stats of the players cards and deck size and pit players together accordingly. New players, don’t be surprised when ur deck size of 120 with level 2 stats gets destroyed by a deck size of 250 with level 5 stats. It will happen….a lot. But don’t fret and keep on grinding cause in a few years u might just have a decent deck of ur own.

Great game, but could be even better.. This is a great game! I love Hearthstone and I love warhammer 40k, so this is perfect for me. I enjoy all the different characters that they have and I think that they should make more. I think something that would make the game even better than it is right now would to make more factions. Instead of having dark eldar and eldar together they could be be their own factions with their own warlords. Also they could add primarchs as super bodyguards or other warlords. It would also make sense to make the sisters of battle their own faction as well. Overall it’s an extremely fun and addicting game, but there is room for improvement and I’m excited to watch them improve the game.

Whale hammer40k. Let me start by the saying the actual combat system is simple to learn, and very fun to play unfortunately it’s tied to a game thats monetary system is an absolute joke, this is the sort of game were you collect card copies to level up your cards, which are in loot boxes that require a wait time to open, and said wait time increases drastically per your level. Of course you can pay to decrease the wait time, and gold is extremely scarce unless you want to pay actual money for that too. This game is an obvious cash grab and shame on GW for having the balls to ok this sort of thing given whats happening across Europe regarding loot boxes. Play Horus Heresy legions if you want an actual card game where spending money really is optional.

Had Since Launch. All the same issues the game had 4 years ago it still has to this day. None of the changes to the game were quality of life. Literally any change just affects the pocketbook of these greedy people. The game got so bad, the developers removed the internal forum because it was just an echo chamber of people complaining about the dev’s incompetence. The icing on the cake for all of this is, recently they added a modifier to campaigns that prevents you from using your dead cards. A concept that would be good, if the campaigns weren’t 30 levels long and at the last 5 levels are literally made for only people with thousands spent could defeat…

Fun, but with flaws. The biggest issue I see with this game is the leveling progression. There gets to be a point where you literally have to wait hours the be able to progress your level because completing objectives is the only way to gain xp in the early-game. There’s literally no reason to play casual once you’ve redeemed your kill pack, and completed all the objectives. That really kills the sustainability of the game for me. Allow us to gain SOME xp while playing casual, and give us a reason to keep playing constantly.

Up and down. So, this game starts out well enough- doesn’t feel like a pay to win or anything like that- the matching system initially gives you the idea that you’re going to be matched up against other players at similar levels. But eventually you’re going to hit a point where your cards are at level 6-7, and your opponent’s cards are at level 10, so you’re stuck. I get it- the game is made to make money, but at some point it would be nice to be able compete on a level playing field.

Good Potential. Overall I am enjoying this game. Fun easy rules, lots of factions. Ads are not obstructive. My biggest problem with the game is that there is way too many bugs and interface issues. - I had a bug where the game would not allow me to deploy an edited deck. I would change the leader and cards but it would deploy my previous deck. - You need to be able to save and edit decks. - You should be able to surrender a game before playing cards. - The settings should be able to be accessed in game mode. - Should be able to see what benefits are unlocked in the next level. I’ve had freezes and crashes. Clean up the game and improve the interface over all. Then I may pay some for this game.

Scratch that collectable card game itch. I have been playing CC for 3 years. It is a great little game to distract you for a couple of minutes every day. Other the years, the cards of increased in complexity. Some cards actually get redefined. This is harder to do with a paper CCG. I am more of an RPG guy than a competitive card player, so I enjoyed grinding my way through growing my deck. Eventually, I decided to trade money for time, but you certainly don’t have to. I love that the card portraits are pictures of the fantastic GW painted minis. I like the asynchronous PvP mode, although there are now occasional synchronous PvP events. However, I don’t find these are compelling as say Hearthstone. Playing against the computer is fast, which I like.

GW wasted my time. Again.. Gameplay is fantastic. Simple, easy to figure out, easy to use and learn to use effectively. I enjoy playing this game. I can slaughter heretics, witches and Xenos all day long in the name of the glorious Emperor. Those two stars? The game developers earned them. They did their jobs correctly. I will not however, reward an additional 3 stars until Games Workshop pulls its head from the fourth point of contact and starts making more sound choices. I don’t know who thought that the pay mechanics. were intelligently set up, though I suspect it’s likely the same arrogant buffoons who think charging $60 for 5 BA Assault Terminators and $35 for 5 Death Company as being a wise idea. -3 hours to unlock a basic win reward? 8 hours? 12 even? And you expect me to pay my shekels to buy “plasma” to unlock them sooner? Nope. Not happening. I’ll go play Idle Miner. Your “plasma” units will simply remain input based. -The Kill Packs only unlock after multiple hours of waiting? Nope. Not amused. Not worth my time. -Win rewards can only be unlocked one at a time? Nope. Still not paying for plasma. Not at your extortionist rates. This behavior is why your sales are slumping and you’re not attracting new fans. They’ll go elsewhere, just as those of us who are tired of your idiotic lunacy will find other, more pleasant diversions. You are no longer the only game in town, you need to adjust your business model accordingly.

Great start...needs improvements. Finally a 40k app game I enjoy! I love the mechanics of the game and the fact they use the model pictures is great. But there should be a coin reward per battle. There is no purpose in playing more games once your slots are filled. So it seems like you play 1-2 matches every 3 or 8 hours. Also matchmaking seems random, since they is no ranking system, you can face anyone from any level. Love the campaigns though.

Victory pack wait time. I am really liking this game. At first I was having a rough time but after I got some good underlings and warlords every battle could be mine considering strat and if I have a good amount of points for cannon fodder and heavy hitters alike. But what really grinds my gears is the freakin wait time for these victory packs to open. I wanna keep going and learning new strats and getting good cards help, but if I gotta wait 8 to 12 hrs to do that come on. At least make your longest wait time like 45 mins to an hour. I mean I’m all for spend some time away from the phone to do life but I gotta plan to open my cards and get one out the way and select another and it’s wait time. And I can do one battle and that’s it. I wanna do more but I don’t wanna test what happens if I don’t have an open slot to claim a chest if I’ve already got em all taken. So shorten the time or allow multiple cards to be opened and you’ve got a winner. I really don’t wanna pay to open, I’d rather pay to get that big card box with 345 cards in it.

Disappointed. I love everything 40k. I’ve played table top since I was in single digit age. I love the fact they use models as the art. However this game crashes after EVERY match. It will crash DURING matches, if you’re doing ranked it’s so frustrating. It will crash before you even join a match. I ask myself who would donate money to coding so poor it’s astonishing. What’s more you get matched against other players in just the casual mode who have 50+ more deployment points than you do. Not to mention I feel like you get matched against your counter more times than not. Its quite annoying. I do enjoy the gameplay and as I said the art. But this game is broken. If you like crashes this will be better than nascar for you.

Devs getting scummy. Make no mistake, I like this game and it started out with an honest set of developers who engaged their player base. However, over the past six months the devs have implemented changes to the economy which have been specifically designed to throttle progress unless you are a whale. They have also used dev blogs to gaslight players that it is for their “betterment,” even if each change has been accompanied by scathing feedback. It’s like a switch flipped and they became the opposite of what attracted me in the first place. If the developers behavior changes and they actually show players respect by leveling with them, I will consider moving my rating higher.

Loading.... Overall, I love the dynamics of this game. The battles are fairly balanced most of the time, and most of my factions have reasonable strength. There are the instances of being matched up against someone with clearly superior cards, but it’s not often enough to ruin the experience. The one thing that does ruin the experience for me is the matchmaking. In this game, you don’t actually play against a live player. You play against another player’s deck. So I’m not sure why you are forced to wait for over a minute often, and sometimes longer, just to start a battle. I plan to keep playing for a while. I’m new to Warhammer, but this game is making me want to start collecting miniatures and playing some 40K!

Fun but needs filters. This game has potential. It would be nice if there were animations for the attacks and the characters weren’t literal cards. Adding the ability to filter through cards by highest ranged attack, melee, team cost etc would make deck building much more convenient! Absolutely asinine that this function isn’t available. It would be nice too if ranked matches weren’t pitting level 20 players against level 50. I hope there’s some serious development for this game or I’ve spent $100 on something that will only be on my phone a few months.

Fun 40k game!. Disclaimer - I started writing this almost a year ago but guess I never posted it. The first paragraph is my review from a year ago and the second paragraph is my review from today! There’s nothing crazy about he workings of this game. It’s straight forward and fun. I’m sure like any iPhone game there’s going to be a level where the causal players taper off and all that’s left are the pay to win players and the super competitive but the campaign mode vs. a.i. is great breakup so far. Looking forward to where this game is going go! I have fallen in and out of love with this game because there definitely is the stage of pay to play competitiveness but it was no where near as bad as I predicted. I was wrong. Also, falling back in love with this game I got to experience the customer service! And let me tell you. They are awesome. I can’t sing their praises with fixing my technical difficulties enough. Two days ago I wasn’t able to log in to my account and lost my progress. Today I’m back to normal. I know this game was evolving when I downloaded it. Anyone who’s played it knows this because this game was just a basic card game to experience Warhammer 40k in yet another way. It’s fun. It’s simple for a pick up and play or it offers a bit more depth if you’re ready for it. Awesome game. Let me get back to it.

Pay to Win: The Game. They made a fun game, but if you dont spend money the fun ends real quick. It could be a fun game for fans of the IP, but the pay to win aspect is too integral to progression. By the time you hit level 21, you will be matched against opponents with much better cards than what the game rewards you with as you progress. The sad/funny part about this is - you are facing game ai controlled opponents at least 75% of the time. Why would the developers intentionally put you up against opponents with cards so much stronger than yours, that its often mathematically impossible for you to win? So you spend money on the game. If you dont mind having no chance to win the vast majority of your matches, this game is for you.

Had more fun writing this review than playing. Played for a couple hours and I consider it a complete waste of my time. This has the worst new player experience I’ve experienced in years. If you aren’t willing to immediately spend loads of money have fun repeatedly losing an incredibly boring game. How on Earth do matches take so long when you have so few decisions to make? Why are you so limited in card choices that you can barely alter any decks? Exactly how many hours of tedious boredom are expected until something resembling fun happens? Literally had a better time leaving this well deserved review that any of the time I spent with this supposed “game”.

Connection Issues and P2W leave bad mark on gun game. The game itself is very fun. Features great artwork of fully painted models from all of our favorite WH factions. Lots of backstory included with each card. The problem is PVP is limited because of connection issues. I live in an area with good service not to mention WiFi and still have issues connecting to play the game. On top of that there is no MMR or hidden MMR. You could go against someone who has cards upgraded far more than yours. That leads me to another point. The game is absolutely pay to win. You can’t keep up with the gold costs of upgrading and also the “one time bundles” of cards you’ll more than likely never unlock without buying them outright.

Pay to win at the extreme. I’ve played the game for a little while now and the pay to win has become so extreme that I win 1 out of every 10-15 games. So you use cards and fight against other peoples decks. The problem is I am level 4 and still using a variant of the starter deck and meanwhile I am bring faced off against people with cards that have more health and damage than my warlord and often do more damage than every card in my deck combined. Most of the starter cards have around 40-70 health with 10-30 damage. Meanwhile my opponents often have cards with upwards of 150 health and do 70-80 damage. Not a lot of strategy for you to use other than buying new and better cards which costs real money of course

Almost Perfect. The gameplay is quick and fun, and the presentation is top notch. I don’t get the feeling that it’s pay to win either. If you experiment with card combos you can definitely start winning games. My only real complaint is the wait time to open packs. You’ll end up waiting 8+ hours to open one pack. And you can only wait on one at a time. So once your four pack slots are full there’s no reason to play. You’ll find yourself just putting the game down when you’d otherwise want to continue playing. For all this game has going for it, this is a pretty irritating flaw that keeps it from getting a perfect score imo.

Been playing this fun game for a good while, haven't got sick of it yet.. The CS has been great as of recent and the improvements to the game since release in 2019 have been steady and good. The developers are responsive interacting with players suggestions/gripes in WCC Discord. One downside to a new player looking to get into this game is either time spent (me at 2.5 years) or money spent to progress and level your card pool. It is what it is so if you feel like you're stuck in progressing your card pool and not throwing money at it, don't worry. Be on top of your packs/skull timers, participate in all the events you can, and that will change. Looking forward to 2022 and what is come on this addictively fun game.

Good game. Needs work. It’s a good game and hopefully updates will take care of some issues. 1. Match making is non-existent. As a brand new player I just won my first PvP fight by sheer luck (after about 10 losses). I lost all of the others because I have only starting cards and everyone I play has upgraded rare, legendaries, etc. I almost deleted the game just because of that but I decided to stay. 2. The wait time between crates. There are long periods between opening crates so there is no point to even battle during this time.

Great game!. I think there is some balancing that might need to happen for the combat; sometimes the benefit of foregoing an attack to boost any of the other two stats you use to fight- feels too difficult. This removes some of the strategy “feel” because people just get one big unit and attack more than any “strategies” surfacing. It would be nice to have more missions, and the ability to STASH victory tokens from wars. Additionally I would like to see an in game reference page (or “hover” reveal) about cards and abilities. It took me a while to realize that a red symbol on a card meant that it damaged an enemy’s stats for that symbol or that a green symbol boosted my own. In the same way, having a way to see text about how an upgrade to a card would affect the card would be better than the current flashing green number; said flashing numbers took me a long time to understand. It would also have helped to be able to view commander abilities before deploying them. I would like to see al

Fun game. Balancing issues. The game is fun and simple with just the right amount of strategy to keep it interesting. My problem with the game is that I have had multiple casual play battles where the opponent is able to field more cards then I am making it almost impossible to actually win against them no matter how well your deck is set up. I understand that you can add more cards to your deck by leveling up but it is unfair to face someone who can hold more cards than you just based off their level. They will always win just cause of the higher number of played cards which leads to a frustrating experience. Matchmaking should be paired with people of the same capabilities as you.

Skip this, get Horus Heresy Legions. As an avid fan of everything W40k and 30k I was very excited to get this game. Having played Horus Heresy Legions(which I enjoyed tremendously) this seemed like a logical choice to download next figuring it would be similar but would allow me to play as 40k teams as well. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. Just take my word for it and countless others who have had the misfortune of playing this game, honestly I have no idea how it has as high a review score as it does it’s insane, DO NOT waste your time and inevitably your money on this title. Do yourself a favor and download Horus Heresy Legions if you enjoy card collecting PvP games set in the warhammer universe. It is everything this game is not and it’s still growing. Ulrac Branthen or Bust!!

Complete trash game and cash grab. I’m a huge 40K fan, so I was extremely disappointed in this card game. Not only is the art abysmal — but the cards feature photos of hand-painted miniatures. The gameplay is just as bad. You basically have a starter deck (about 3 cards) that competes in lanes against your opponent. Combat is horribly confusing, consisting of ranged, close combat and psychic attacks. You “sorta” pick a strategy each round and it automatically does combat for you. There are a few buttons, but they don’t work like you think they should. The beginning segments briefly tell you what to click on, but it really doesn’t explain anything (it’s a crappy tutorial). And once you begin to play real opponents, be ready to lose... A LOT. Since it’s all pay-to-win, you’ll soon see how your opponents pay for packs to earn the best cards out there. And the base packs start at $3.99 for random faction cards. I’ve seen it all before and this game provides zero fun, while frustrating you endlessly. You know, unless you put down money with in app purchases. And the matchmaking is horrid. The game put me up against someone who has been playing for a while. Avoid this train wreck.

Poor quality game. Probably the most pay to win game I have ever come across. That’s not the worst part though. Even without paying, some of the combat is still pretty enjoyable. Worst bit of the game is the unbalanced campaigns. Often times you need one specific card to be played a specific way in order to get through the campaign. It seems like the devs will try it with one run through and not test out any other options. Which makes it frustrating if you were unlucky enough to not earn or pay for that one card to get you through. The most recent example is that it’s impossible to get though “the silent king returns” boss level without the Eisenhorn card. Would be nice if the devs put more thought into the campaign side. Another draw back is poor match making. You’re often against someone much much stronger or weaker than you. But there is usually virtually no wait, at least at the level I’m at, which is nice. They do a great job with the art work and the lore on the back of the cards. That stuff is great.

Good start. Been a table top player since 2010 and I really like how you guys used the photos of painted models for the cards. I understand it’s a new game and still developing and am enjoying the campaign as well as looking forward to alliances. Only issue I have now is that it’s very boring in terms of actual game play. We get to play against other people but for what benefit? We get up to 4 packs from winning, all of which takes 3+ hours to fill, and then after the first initial 10 kills for a pack I’m waiting 40k years to do it again. (See what I did there). It’s just kinda annoying to play a quick 4 games to get all the benefits of winning against some other person just to wait 12 hours till I can do it again for any gain. Maybe a campaign or something that will fill that gap of time between those 4 games and the timer resetting,

Great game but needs work. As an avid Warhammer player and a lover of card games I love this game. Although there are some things I would like to see change. First off, rewards. This game gives you a victory box when you win but you dont get xp or coins to upgrade for winning, so it makes it that you have to wait 3 hours to actually obtain the things you need to level you and your cards up. Second, More commanders. I notice that some races like the Space Marines have 4 commanders, while other races like Necrons or Tyranids only have 2, give more variety. Lastly, More cards. This game is great when you start but when you collect all the cards it makes the game dull and makes it more reluctant to keep playing.

Amazing Card Games!. I’ve never really liked card games all that much but this is something truly special. The game play is quite different and unique compared to other card games by having three ways of attacking it makes it just that much more detailed because you are able to make different types of decks. This game has huge potential I would personally like to see a friend request option and a clan creation but other than that it is an extraordinary game and I would recommend it to a friend!

Nerf T’au. The biggest problem I have with the game is that it clearly favors T’au over all other races... I don’t even mind the blow out strong ranged characters that are far under costed, their access to high health cheap cost drones that add abilities to effect stats, all are within the T’au lore. My gripe comes with the fact that ALL their commanders heal their overly high health over powered ranged units to full when the last unit comes down. That is not T’au. T’au do not repair, T’au do not have cheap over powered units, they have expensive overpowered units. None of this is balanced in game and is easily and clearly the best faction in he game and I’m sure gameplay data in versus proves this. So for the love of god balance T’au, either double the cost of most of the units, or remove the heal from all the commanders.

Entertaining/More to be Desired. As a fan of the Warhammer 40k universe, this game was already cool before I started playing it a bunch. The gameplay is tactful without being too overly complicated. The card packs within the store can be earned at a reasonable pace without pumping any money into the game, and there are events fairly frequently. There are some lacking pieces though. There isn’t any real way to play with your friends or connect to them in game in any meaningful way yet (hopefully guilds will be introduced soon to solve this dilemma). Another issue I have with the game is the poor amount of customization available to your calling cards and that. I’ve only noticed one opportunity to obtain more unique profile customization, but they are way overpriced, costing about 750 plasma a piece. To put this in perspective, I could use that plasma to buy 2 card packs which would give me a total of 64 cards! That is a lot of plasma to simply waste on a calling card or border for your profile that is seemingly unimportant due to the lack of connection with others and lack of real impact or incentive to collect them. I think it would be better to put them as rewards for doing well in faction specific events. Overall, it is a fun game, but it has some work to do before it can really be a great game.

Not good. Poor Tutorial. Lacks Depth. No Learning.. I got the game because it looked like fun and resembles a game in the App Store I really really enjoyed, Yu-gi-oh BAM. Before I go into what I was hoping for I should say what this was. 40k Warhammer has almost no tutorial: the screen just says words that recommend doing an action but allows you to click whatever you want. This is problematic because you CAN lose the tutorial, all bad. Plus Warhammer tells you what things are after you perform a few actions, like the buff system (resembling green bars that fill up). And nothing on a card is labeled, it only uses colors, location and symbols to convey “everything” you need to know. Also, like the other review I read: Prepare to lose repeatedly because the people you match up against have been playing for a long long time and as a beginner this creates a lack of wanting to play and destroys the learning curve. Strategies of attacking are impossible to understand. I only recommend this game if you know someone who can teach you how to play, but I don’t recommend being the pioneer to go out of your way and endure the pain that is playing 40k Warhammer card game. Yu-gi-oh Bam is a great game with linear attacking 3 against 3, but spells and other things allow manipulation of the battle field and the cards on the field resets at the end of each round allowing for comebacks if you make a mistake.

Timing. The way to unlock new cards takes way to long. Never was a fan of this way. You can only start on one box at a time and it takes hours to do I have played the game not to long (only at lvl5) and I already feel that I’m halted from any further progression, to get my cards I need more boxes, to get more boxes I need to battle but since my boxes take long time to open, I can’t get anymore. I feel like I’m fighting for no reason and going no where. You should probably change this. Maybe if the timer can star on all boxes it would be better idk or just drastically reduce the time. Can’t imagine waiting all this time for just a couple of cards that might not even help me devs some food for thought.

🗿. What is this ranking system??? Bro I’m a veteran and I’m getting match with people who are Eldiritch Raider. I don’t care if their rank level is near mines, their actual ranking is not. It’s not fair. They have more points and their cards are obviously more leveled up because they are higher ranked in general. Do not match based off of rank points, match based off of the level they are in. I hardly get matched with other veterans, it’s always people who are levels higher than me. We also need more coins and cards to level up. It’s hard to especially level up the warlord, you would have to wait til that week comes to level up. And you can only buy one 💀. I wish there were ways we could get the cards we want more easily than waiting for so long. I do understand that you guys are trying to make money, but I feel there might be better ways to do that. I think maybe instead of using plasma or coins to unlock the rewards, use ads. Although I don’t know how much you would earn from that. I feel like maybe it would help, adding the options to watch ads to get the cards. Maybe have us watch ads 2 times to get rewards, please don’t make the ads 15 or 30 seconds if you can control it. If the ads are 15 or 30 seconds long, I doubt people will start watching the ads. Also make sure to add it as a option, don’t make it mandatory.

No response from developers. This game used to be fun but the due to unaddressed quality of life issues and the developers not taking player feedback into account this game will continue to get worse. They made the economy worse slowing progression, they are removing the in game forum where players could post, and they released a terrible event where the only way to get rewards is real damage and surrender. Surrendering should not be a part of getting rewards in a card strategy game. The decisions that are being made and the complete disregard for player feedback tell me this game is headed in the wrong direction.

Nothing but fun. Ive been playing this game for a long time. I truly enjoy the simple yet extremely strategic gameplay. Every warlord feels so different and has a weakness that leaves you having to either go all in their strategy or do something unique to catch opponents off guard. This has become my favorite game. Has helped me alot to make it through both my covid quarantines. The only things i would like to see. Is add more features/events for guilds. A guild campaign with a shared boss healthpool or guild only campaigns like the skarbrand campaign would be amazing. And i would like to have a full imperial/chaos knight army added. Im gonna get hate for saying this but id buy that pack without hesitation. Absolutely love everything about this game. If you want a challenge or a game to get you thinking, i highly recommend this one. See you in the rank ladder.

Pretty fun App but can use improvement. Got this app about a week ago because I am a fan of the tabletop game and wanted to give it a shot. As usual I was hesitant to a PvP because they can easily become pay to win. However so far the game seems pretty balance. As someone who will only spend a max of $5 on an app I don’t feel like I’m at a disadvantage in PvP. That said the system to earn new cards is a little frustrating. You have 4 slots where new packs are available but you can only open 1 at a time. Opening a pack consists of waiting the 3 to 8+ hours before you can collect it. So at a point you are left to just put the game down because there’s nothing for you to gain. I feel like this could be helped by making packs immediately open and then having the slot take 3hrs before becoming usable again. That way players can get the immediate satisfaction of their prize instead of begrudgingly waiting for something they’ve “earned”. That or simply allowing multiple packs would be nice. What really made me rate this game highly is their “ticket” help system. There is an in-app help messaging system where you can text in your issues and they respond in a reasonable amount of time. The ease of receiving help is such a nice addition that the developers didn’t have to include but did, and in a way that makes it easy for both parties.

Lick your wounds but fun after couple lvls game is fun. Huge Warhammer fan. Game was tough at first cuz getting slaughtered is not fun. But after you tough it out, it gets pretty excited getting new warlords and cards. Would appreciate if the game would include sounds unique to the faction. Such as a chain sword sound for space marines, lascannon sounds for the imperium, etc. Nonetheless, having lots of fun with the game! Usually I’m a tryranid fan but I’m enjoying playing the eldar and the necrons.

A neat card game. This is the first card game I’ve given a real chance outside of MTG, and honestly I’m pretty happy with what I see so far. I can’t speak to how complex, or balanced the game is compared to others like Gwent, but it’s still a great way to kill time. That’s not even mentioning the lore included with each of the cards, and using official models as their picture. I’m very familiar with the setting, and I really appreciate that as a mega 40k fan.

Unfair Later On. I’ve enjoyed this game for a while now and have been playing it for some time. It’s not geared towards pay to win, but you can definitely feel the power jump after playing a bit. I’m not even past Battle Brother yet in rank, and all I get are people with level 5 legendary cards, leaving me unable to defeat them, thus leaving me unable to get kill packs and skulls to open. It also levels me slower as I can’t complete objectives listed to gain exp. It’s been leaving a sour taste in my mouth as I am stuck at a stalemate with always getting near max rank players, unable to get the cards I need for certain play styles, and never gaining exp as I am unable to complete objectives. It was a positive experience to begin, but slowly going downhill as the balancing between finding players around the same level cards and same rank as I am just isn’t there anymore. It’s leading me to just leaving the game as it doesn’t feel friendly anymore to people who just want to have fun. I only paid a little money, not a whale amount, but even then there’s still a huge difference between the players I’m facing and the cards I have. Hope this review warns others for the experience to come.

This is garbage. Once again GW finds a way to overprice anything that has a 40K label to it. This game would be fun if there was a player Vs. player aspect. But there is not. The game pits you against an AI that will have such a significant advantage that it becomes more of a frustrating interaction than enjoyable. Strategy consists of placing cards in your deck that synergies with others, and then watching them be torn to shreds as the significantly higher level cards of the AI fall into the correct sequence each and every time. This is done much the same way carnival games work, you get close to a win but just can’t get it. That is unless you spend real money to purchase more cards, because you need a ton of the same cards to level, but it’s random so... you get the thrill of magic the gathering on top of the thrill of losing your money. But that’s not all! Even getting the cards isn’t the key to victory! You have to have coins to upgrade them which cost...you guessed it more money! And this is the game in a nutshell, up your cards, win a few games, get slaughtered over and over again until you spend money to up your cards once again. Please if you read this, PASS ON THIS GAME!

Very good (for a pvp game). I enjoyed the first climb from rank 1 to 11 very much. My favorite part was the tutorials which introduced different play styles for the space marines, Aeldari*, and Chaos. My only suggestions to make it better would be adding similar tutorials for the Orkz/Tyrannids/Necrons/Imperial Guard/Tau/Ect., and perhaps a singleplayer mode with procedurally-generated/randomized decks for AI to use. The reason for the singleplayer mode not only allows people to continue playing the game long after pvp runs low on players, but maybe even allow them to do so offline(though I wouldn’t mind if it was online).

Everything I want. Gameplay is addicting and fun. Endless hoards of cards to build decks with making endless deck compositions, and most decks are viable if leveled up so you can even go competitive with those decks in ranked mode which is fun and grindy but gives amazing rewards the higher up you go. And best of all new warlords, cards, and campaigns are being added so fast the game has never gotten stale for me in the entire year that i’ve owned it

Completely pay to win.. Cool little game. Spent a shocking 60 USD on it. Combined with grinding netted me a mediocre deck. The game forums are pretty toxic and tons of people brag about spending hundreds/thousands of dollars on the game. Your game is limited by army points. Your ap are upgraded by leveling your account. Your account gets a few meager packs a day but whales buy dozens or hundreds of packs a day meaning they can field twice as many units as you and often their creatures are oppressively bigger. The only way to keep up is to open your wallet but be aware that lots of these whales are spending thousands of dollars on this mobile game. My advice is to avoid this title(or play it for free) and spend those hundreds/thousands of dollars on WH40K figures and games. You’ll get tons more content and avoid a wallet competition.

Matching system. I really enjoy the game an mechanics. Unfortunately the downside, when your matched it’s like your always put against higher level players. Not anyone within your own rank. Another thing are the titles, anyone can use aspirant or lower title. Yet be a veteran or higher with a deck you can’t beat. 80% of the time I’m surrendering cause it’s a waste of time to continue. Needs to be more separation an better ranking battles. An it’s all connected to titles an ranks. A battle brother shouldn’t be ranked against a sergeant or veteran . A system the developers need to figure out.

Love the game, could do with a few adjustments though. I enjoy the combat, love the characters, love the campaign and love customer support. The customer support so far has been much better than other games I play. The Facebook page for this game is an amazing addition as well! I don’t love the matchmaking system. I don’t like going against someone with similar cards but the cards being so much higher in level. There’s also a difference with people who have been playing longer since they have the strong cards you get from the campaign. There are still bugs but these are being worked on. And for people interested in downloading this game, stay on level 4 until you level up a lot of your cards and then go to level 5 to join campaigns. I found a jump in difficulty there!

Slow loading. The only issue that I face is that it takes forever to load

Good foundations, needs more work. The game itself is great but there needs more, once you do 4 battles you have to wait because you can’t store more ‘time based packs’ there should be a system that gives you some kind of reward for more play (maybe a small amount of coins and/or plasma?) and really that’s all you can do in the game per day - 4 battles which takes maybe 20mins. This needs a change Also it desperately needs clans and player search (I know it’s coming)

Really buggy. When you start up the game it is good but when you type you’re name in it does not let you play because when it says “edit deck” you can’t do anything and I tried everything and it still doesn’t work!

Unplayable! Every update adds to the crashes. Every time an update is put out the crashes increase. Latest update has made it unplayable. Developers really need to focus on stability over everything else right now.

Crushing often. I would vote this game higher but it constantly crashes and I have to restart every single time..

Way too unfair. Today i just fought against a guy with 7 bodyguard and i only have 5. Right after that i fought against a guy with default deck. Cards are pretty balances but matching isn't

Physically Unplayable. I’ve found that the only reason I ever play this game is due to the warhammer logo slapped on it, beyond this it’s very meh. The layout when not actively playing against opponents is IDENTICAL to clash Royale, no use of hyperbole or sarcasm present. The actual game itself becomes completely unplayable, according to what’s listed under compatible devices and software, everything’s perfect and yet the game crashes beyond the vast majority of the time to the point of absolute infuriation. Any attack or animation that plays at any point in time provides a very high chance the app will crash and your time and in game energy wasted. I’m really glad I haven’t spent any money on it otherwise I would seriously be regretting it as other reviewers apparently have.

Good game. Long loading time.. Would be the best game I had on my mobile if not for the fact that loading times can have you looking at the same screen for 5+ minutes whether it’s upgrading a card or just trying to actually get the game to load successfully.

Great game. Great game. But still buggy. If you warlord is zagstruck and your bodyguards kill all 3 of the opponents cards in the same turn, the error message pops up and you are logged out of combat.

Save your time.. The game is well made but is SUPER unbalanced. It’s kind of Rock Paper Scissors except marines have everything op as usual and there is no stars they to deck building. Honestly just save you time and go play geeky or hearthstone

Playing the game barely works. Game is fine but literally 9 out of 10 games I queue up for time out at finding an opponent. This is a real kick in the groin when trying to play campaign where your access to that mode is limited by a time gated resource that gets wasted every time the game fails to start a match.

Great game. It is pretty simple to understand and you don’t need a lot of time to get into a round it is great fun

Sorry no where else to get in contact with developers. The game is thoroughly enjoyable to play which is why it is so disappointing being bugged out of matches. This wouldn’t be too bad however it seems to be worse on campaign which you are only allowed 1 match every two hours. Feeling very frustrated by this and to exacerbate the situation there is no where to leave feedback directly to the developers except for on this review. Would love a response Cheers

Bugged. Found the game fun but now whenever I attempt to start any battle it just sits in the loading screen.

Glitches. The performance of this game is what holds the rating back for me. I am a level 60 player and have seen some improvements but what is still lacking is the glitches in campaigns in particular. The designers have recently bumped the campaign energy points up from 3 to 4 which is good, but what is infuriating is the constant glitches which happen mid-battle. These glitches result in having to close the app, re-open it and start again having lost the battle and also a campaign energy point. The prizes at the end of the campaigns are decent however they have cut back on the amount of coins and plasma, the resources you will need to level up your cards. So be prepared to have to spend money or buckle up for one incredibly slow grind.

Review + opinion. Game is great only a few things need to be changed, #1 (iron halo) on a rare warlord needs to be reworked, Invincibility for all cards is just insane, needs to be limited to 1-3 chances of iron halo to work or change his ability all together I feel you should be able to have the ability to have allied cards in ranked or have an alt ranked system for ally comp I’m only giving 1 star so my opinion gets seen

Fun, but takes a while. It feels like for the first day or so that you need to buy more cards to make a deck of the faction you’re after, and extremely limited. It’s only after teething that it opens up and you see just how easy and quickly you rack up cards! Slow starter, good time waster

Matchmaking. The is great, love the what war hammer is about, I have begun to notice I’m up against players with all cards unlocked, I’m about halfway through, losing 9x out of 10 is no fun, so need to play against more my level please, do love the game though 👍

Game crashes and hours wasted - no fix. Don’t waste your time getting into the game. I have spent a significant amount of time and a bit of money playing this game. I really enjoyed it but then it crashed and I cannot even get into the app anymore. I have lodged multiple tickets and emails with one line responses saying “try again”. Customer service is terrible. Nothing has happened for two weeks now. I asked for the money I spent in the game to be refunded and no reply anymore. Don’t waste your time and effort playing this as it will happen to you.

A lot of bugs. Love the game and big fan of the series, am however disappointed with the bugs with this game. When ever my app is mid fight the whole game crashes to the home screen. It’s very frequent with me and can’t find out what is causing it. Great game all around would recommend just need these bugs addressed because the experience for me could be more pleasant.

Absolutely fantastic long term game. Been playing I don’t know how long. Doesn’t get boring. Each game doesn’t take too long to play, Try different strategies, reasonable in game purchase prices, regular updates and rewards. Exactly what a phone app game should be.

Nerf shadowsun. The game is incredibly good. Tactical, strategic and luck based. The only problems could be how hard it is to grind for the currencies without spending money. And that commander shadowsun needs a huge nerf/rework. She’s just too powerful to enjoy playing against.

Too much freezing. Love the game but frustrating to wait 2 hours in a campaign and for it to freeze and you have to reload the app (losing your life). Can’t even view the support response as it ‘Failed to load comments’, have tried on and off the last 12 hours to view it.

Interesting take on the Combat Cards of old. Whilst not what I was initially expecting from a digital version of Combat Cards, I have found sufficient variety in the mechanic of gameplay and the mixing of decks to be entertained. More importantly the game poses an evolving challenge as you upgrade cards and have to approach card selection and sequence with some strategy.

Great game that crashes way too often. I thoroughly enjoy this game when it all works. I have no problem with waiting for energy points to build up in campaign mode, that’s fine. But the problem is half the time the energy points are wasted as the game crashes mid combat, and when you reload you’ve lost that energy point. So frustrating.

Upgrade Runs Terribly. Was enjoying the game till the latest update now it runs slow and laggy. More bugs on this upgrade than ever before If they dont fix I will stop playing it

Glitched. The game looks interesting and could be fun. It’s so laggy tho an glitches every time going into a battle logging out of the game completely. Disappointing.

Space Marines again. Don’t get to choose your faction from the start. Forced to play space marines and the worse kind too (Primaris). Dark eldar is under the same banner as eldar and Tau - ridiculous. Clunky game at any rate.

Love it. Awesome game play can’t wait to unlock all the cards

With the time. A great game, tactics and thinking along with the collection of cards. Plenty to keep you playing along and enjoying the various challenges.

Worst balance I ever seen. Tau is way too op as they shouldn’t be. Extremely high range damage plus high HP plus a incredibly powerful hero special rule. I didn’t see there’s a reason for Tau to be that unbeatable.

Enjoyable game. Fun game. Sometimes there is an issue when retrieving rewards where the game will crash when retrieving the cards, especially when retrieving the Skull kills packs and this is rather annoying and will hopefully be rectified. Otherwise a fun and engaging experience.

Bugged out!. After several weeks of play and some in app purchases the app bugged out. When I logged in today all collected cards gone! All purchases gone! Error message saying my account is invalid and a new account has been created. Seriously??

Error messages. Constantly getting an “error please wait for data to finish downloading” while trying to play campaign missions, games is up to date and fully downloaded why do I keep getting these messages. Apart from the bugs, some of the non-commander heroes feel just underwhelming when compared to the lore of the 40k universe Otherwise it’s a fun game and could be great

Please fix bugs. Youve got a good IP, please fix the bugs and stop ripping us off.

Amazing card game. Please keep the updates this fame could be even better we need more card battle games on app store

Won’t load my profile. Still can’t play the game at all says attempting to load profile then done and goes straight to finding a match but never does anything hope I’ve not lost my profile and everything because I have spent a decent amount of time playing and would be sad as hell if it was all gone

Excellent game, slow loading and hard difficulty spikes. The game is fantastic to play however there are a few things I don’t like so much. The game is slow most the time and sometimes requires a restart for some changes to process. The matchmaking can be difficult to start until you build up some cards and currency to upgrade them. The leveling system is not bad but I think the daily challenges that revolve around the Campaign should give more XP since you only get 3 energy max and it takes an hour and a half to replenish 1 energy, and not everyone has the time to play all day. At around campaign level 10 the difficulty spikes tremendously and can be extremely difficult unless you spend a long time grinding out (or buying packs) for cards, and even then the currency to upgrade them is too sparse as you only get it opening the 8 hour daily packs and the 8 hour kill packs, which isn’t easy to achieve when first starting Otherwise the gameplay is fun but I don’t feel it’s that rewarding, you get packs of varying levels to open after you defeat an enemy but it limits you to 4 at a time, which take upwards of 3 hours depending on the pack type. Campaign rewards are solid but it requires you to be in a certain placement, not a bad thing if you know your enemy limit, it’s easier to deliberately lose to lower their level to make it easier for you to rank up. Overall a fun game but needs some performance improvements

Really cool. Rad game but I’ve encountered a bug that has rendered me unable to start any match, the button is unhighlighted and I’ve tried closing and re-opening + uninstalling then reinstalling. I look forward to a patch so I can continue to enjoy this great game.

Glitchy bug-fest. When I started playing this game it was a little bit laggy but...being a Warhammer 40K fan and because the game looked good I persisted. The latest update changed the look to a cheaper, less lore friendly look and introduced a myriad of performance issues. The gameplay is okay and it can be played for free if you’re happy to grind to collect all of the cards. Unfortunately the performance issues introduced with the last upgrade have made the game unplayable. There isn’t enough in the game to make it worth persisting with anymore.

Alright but buggy. When I first started the game it was awesome, it got a little dull after not acquiring any new units but that changed for the better. Now that I have levelled them up some get to attack as they are deployed. Likewise, so does the opponent, and bugs begin. My card will receive damage the second it is deployed, make its special attack, then the opposite makes its actual special attack, meaning I receive double the damage. What makes me want to delete the game is when I play a unit with 100+ wounds and it is killed before it gets to do anything thanks to this bug

Good, but very slow. Has a few bugs but they are being deleted with. However the game is rather slow not enough things to keep you entertained for long periods of time. It would be more enjoyable if they reduced times to wait for things to do. As you can get everything done in 10-15 minutes then have to wait hours

Same as all pay to win. Game is ok enough but is all down to pay to win- when you have limitations on how many cards and power and you are pitted up against decks of double your score count it’s effectively impossible to win - I have said this for many games of this sort that they need to have people going up against their level.

You will lose your content, you won’t get it back.. Account was reset with no explanation, lost all content including content that was paid for. Game itself can be fun, but bugs like this ruin it. Do not recommend!

Played since launch. This game has been amazing right from launch and I have to say this current version is 👍🏼👌🏻

Hello.. It seems that my game of combat cards has broken. I cannot login and an rather sad about it. Please try to fix this for the older players

Crashing a lot. So I love the game but I can’t play it because it keeps on crashing on so I can’t even play a simple game like casual pvp so please fix this to the Best of what you can do please

Buggy but enjoyable. Not sure if it’s because I have an iPhone XS but for some reason this game plays alright but then won’t load crates, graphics or will sometimes just stop combat. I want to like the game but I can’t keep it up.

Thank you for you tireless effort!. You have informed us on your web site of the fixes you are bundling. Even when my luck was down in my app you fixed my problems so I sincerely thank you. I just look forward to the next update so I can go back to battling the Zeno filth in the galaxy. Keep up the good work. A truely addictive and rewarding game. For the Emperor!!

Pay to win. Like most warhammer mobile games I have had the pleasure of playing this is a highly pay to win model. You get few gems for any amount of effort you put in (usually around 2-14 a day) and only the cheapest starter packs are ever usually in a none paying persons budget to get. To upgrade cards it costs ridiculous amounts of resources that you never seem to have unless you save up and even then you have to be particularly choosy when upgrading because it costs coins as well.

Game is fun until you unlock ranked. Like the header says the game takes a turn for the worse as soon as you unlock ranked. Until then you can play casual and meet people your level but when ranked is unlocked this is removed. Since unlocking ranked I’ve only met chapter masters and other high level players with maxed out cards. Not a great matchmaking system.

It’s good. Like I don’t understand half of it but the pictures move around and things light up and my ape brain goes “woohoo” so I’m pretty sure it’s a masterpiece

+4 Great game -1 no Eldar tanks. Actually super fun, great job creators!

Not happy! Updated. I’ve had a lot of fun playing this game and building up my cards over the last couple of months. Then BOOM the game loaded the other day and EVERYTHING was lost!!!!!! Not impressed and I won’t start over. Update! Their team contacted me shortly after my comments above and have since fully restored everything. Fantastic support. Fun game.

Good. Nice

It’s a buggy mess, maybe one day it will work.. I’ve been playing this game for a while, and as of late it’s a bug ridden mess. Game loading issues. Freezes and crashes. Gameplay glitches. Interface not responding. Display errors and assets not loading. This game looks good and can be fun to play, but with all the problems, I can’t recommend it.

Request another update. I just received today’s update and it keeps crashing, I’ve tried 5x and restarted my phone, the app still crashes when I try to open packs..

Wonderfully simple and fun. It’s a combination of real tactics but with simple ideas. Fun characters and always more on the way. Also has a collect and upgrade grind I enjoy. 5 stars

Awesome Game, but Crashes Constantly. I really have enjoyed this game. But when I first started I’d get maybe one crash a day, which is really a lot. Plus that crash would set you back in campaign energy. But I liked it enough to keep going. Now it’s like every other battle the game stalls. They’ve really giving up on this and you can tell. I’d stay away from this game, it’s great but obviously the devs have given up trying to fix the bugs and instead there are just more then ever.

Scummy business practices. “Buy now to unlock 7 levels”. This does not GIVE YOU 7 levels, it “unlocks” your access to unlock those levels. Extremely scammy behaviour

Whack. The matchmaking is completely unbalanced and there’s no way to redeem codes on ios, wouldn’t waste your time with this tbh

I can’t win. Doesn’t matter what you do, every battle was against people who have obviously played the game a long time. It didn’t matter how I played my cards I was guaranteed to lose before every battle started. After losing 20 battles straight and not winning at all, I’m done with this horribly made game. I would have put money into it, had I not been so screwed over.

We Need Chinese Thx!. We Need Chinese Plz!

Good while it lasted. Fun little game. They tried to PVP and now many features such as chatting with clans and the Actual PVP don’t work. Also now You have to restart the app after each game. My recommendation now is Just give it a miss.

Bleh. Became more of a pay to win game than before, with the addition of the game pass… been playing since the start and think I’m done

Addictive. Very fun game with good developer support. No 5 stars due to in game purchases (although I don’t think it affects the game much) and the need for an Internet connection. I enjoy the strategy required to fight above your weight.

Awesome game!. At first this game was a little daunting to play as my favourite faction since you don’t get a lot of good cards at the beginning, but after getting the hang of it, it can be quite fun to play, would definitely recommend playing it, at least once

Counter attacks ruin the game. Theres no fun in attacking someone just for them to counter you back, AND THEN they got a move. That completely sucks and just doenst make me want to even breathe another second with this game on my phone. Just completely flawed.

Fun but has issues. Runs terribly, even navigating the menus can be so slow and tedious. Tutorial might as well be non-existent. The card art is models which is cool though.

Great game!. My previous review was during early-access apparently (the game was so buggy it was unplayable sometimes). Everything is so much better now! Thoroughly enjoying things, well done.

Games Ok but could be better. The game’s fun but, the lack of a few functions and balancing issues is frustrating. It would be handy to have a surrender button, for games when your up against a significantly higher level player. It’s frustrating to have to play out a loss when you know it’s coming from the beginning. The factions don’t really seem balanced, Tau in particular seems a little much. I don’t know how opponents are chosen but sometimes it doesn’t seem terribly balanced. Ranged strategy seems the best unless you have enough points to field a significant number of psychic units.

Crashes Far Too Much. I enjoy the game but it crashes on me after ever battle it is extremly anoying for this reason alone i am giving it a bad rating.

i like it. i like it

More cards. Love the game but it would be better if theirs ether more world eater cards or if kharn becomes a champion

Really fun game!. I’ve been having a blast with the game, only thing I ask is a nerf to skulltaker’s locus of decapitation passive, 25 makes it so 90% of cards just die before they can do anything.

Crashes during load screen. Fun game, but with the new updates it crashes anytime I load a battle

No help. Had been playing for months with no issues then suddenly my game wouldn’t load correctly, going’s o a screen that would say attempting to load profile, followed by a matching screen that went nowhere and all the text under “matching” is all in some sort of Russian. I reached out to the dev and they simply stated they would look into it. I had tossed a fair amount of $ into the game because I was actually enjoying it but this has been going on for at-least 2 months with no help from the dev. Edit: @Dev how can I get to the settings when I just told you the game launches, immediately says “attempting to load profile” and then immediately begins searching for a match that is never found, all the while the text is changed to some sort of Russian. Devs don’t care, each time i’m met with an automated response even after detailing the issue.

Fix your game. Can’t even load the training battle, I used to have almost all of the Tyranid cards but I had to delete the game because it constantly crashed, and now when I tried to rejoin the app, my progress was lost and the the app can’t even load the freaking training battle. Would rate 5 stars if your game worked. And I repeat FIX YOUR GAME!!!! (I have an IPhone 6 by the way, just in case it’s a problem on my end)

Dumb. Pretty stupid when you don’t even give a way to leave a match. Ya leave out the most basic button and function of any game of any type. Don’t put a settings button or anything like that in a match. How can you fail so spectacularly on somthing so bloody basic?

Good as always. But no deathwach.. All GW games are at least entertaining. This is good; nowhere even close to death watch; which is one of the best mobile games I have ever played.

Crash. Decent game but crashes constantly. I’m lucky to get 4 straight matches before I get booted onto my homepage.

Great Card Game. Great decision points, smart plays are rewarded. Incentive to use different decks in ranked mode, for max total trophies while matching you vs skill/level appropriate players.

Great game crash problems. Hey dev team, Love the game a great 40k time waster! My problem is with the campaign mode. At least 2 dozen times now I will be playing a campaign battle and the game freezes. Kicking me out of the battle and losing the energy I spent. Not the biggest deal but I would appreciated reimbursement on the lost cards and time.

Fun game when it works. Game is fun to play but seems like every time a new campaign starts the game freezes mid battle. Sometimes restarting app works but you lose the energy from the last battle. Needs customer support option in the app

That game is a joke.... Never saw a game like that for the matching. I’ve just start to play and I’m facing only players with a lot of points and cards who are way to advance to even think to challenge them.., Sorry but I will not pay to be sure losing...

Ahhhhh. I need to poop

Great game but..... The Tau are sooooooo overpowered they can field so many units for cheap and there leader ability basically makes them impossible to beat

It has potential. Basic game is fun. I find it simple however, and believe it could use a little more complexity that would hopeful bring in more of a strategic element.

Punishing to Start. I love the concept of a 40k card game, but this game is completely disheartening when you’re just starting out. I’m consistently getting matched up against players with full synergistic decks that steamroll me with no effort at all, and the current campaign limits you to Imperium only, so I get owned there too because I only have three cards and they’re not particularly good. Without the ability to win, progress is going to be glacially slow without spending real money. Pay 2 win. I can imagine this game might be fun once you have a good card base to choose from, but without spending money I really don’t know if I’ll have the will to get there.

40k. I just started getting in to The lore and I love how all the cards are the tabletop figures

Great game, but slow. Awesome game. Has all the stuff to keep you playing and progressing. But it REALLY needs an option to speed up those animations.

Warhammer Combat Cards. Lots of enemy variety and card collection options with more features to come! Great game.

Simple. Not too deep, decent match ups so far.

Close but no cigar. This game would be amazing, if it didn’t reset days of my work to level 1, and the support actually answered.

‘. Ce jeux est vraiment très bien avec une grandeur variété de carte différentte le seul hick est le temps pour débloqué le crâne

Matchmaking sucks. The matchmaking in this game is so damn broken I’m a aspirant right they give me a veteran who has 200+ health each card and I’m getting obliterated Will not recommend to anyone to play

Buggy and frustrating. Game seems to crash or not even load in the first place about 50% of the time I’ve had it. It makes it really frustrating when the means to increase your level crashes and you lose the resources that took hours to generate because the game thinks it loaded for a battle. Over the last day or so it has virtually been unplayable due to loading or crashing issues.

Avoid. I think this might be the worst card battler I’ve ever played. There’s no deck-building mechanic. At least not before level 5. Sure you’ll have a couple cards you can swap but nothing significant. Combat itself is boring and pretty pointless. To top it off you are clearly being matched up pvp with players wayyyyy ahead of you Do not get unless you plan to spend money buying “packs” ... heck even then I would still recommend staying clear

Known bug?. Hey, Appreciate the work you all are doing with the game and the consistent updates are a real breath of fresh air. In the most recent update though during the Orks Vs. Chaos campaign, I had, and am still having an issue where I look at a card and the level of the card shown in detail is not the same as the card played. I get that there is a lot going on with the world wide release and I appreciate the difficulty it poses in fact, I would hate to have it seem like this is a complaint this issue is more of a challenge for me rather than a serious draw back :P. I felt that the community might just not be making any noise about it yet. Thanks for the great work though keep it up! All the best.

Good concept but problematic. After playing this game for some time I’ve found that while the concept is great, and could be fun; the actual performance of this game lacks a lot. Mostly there are highly overpowered cards which result in anyone that doesn’t have these cards being badly beaten without any real strategy needed. If this game is refined to involve actual strategy and not just luck m I will certainly come back and change my review

Content. Fun, the cards graphics being tabletop figures is what makes this whole thing amazing. I just wish there was more to do besides pvp and the campaign. I do like this combat system a lot more than most card game. The pick between three is a Little Rock Paper Scissors feel but the wounds and attack values are way better than like a hearthstone where it’s like 2 atk 3 hp

Dnt get unless you plan on paying. Game is good but, if you are not planning on paying for packs. It wil take a long time to rank up. You fight online and can hold only four chest at a time and at minimum a chest takes 3hours to unlock. And if you keep fighting opponents they dont give you expierence to level up. You need to wait to level up your card, that you get from chest, to get expierence. Itsa cash grab dont get unless you have patience. Thank you

Enjoyable enough until the bugs kick in.. Campaign after conclusion doesn’t give you the proper rewards. Bug even after update are still prevalent. Some battle you win end up not giving the rewards after even when you have an empty slot. The game is fun but as the bugs persist it hampers the enjoyment. Not to mention when you open up loot sometimes and get your rewards just to close the game and come back later to find out that you never received it.

A Gem. This game is amazing! Being able to build your own squad based off of your favorite race from Warhammer is perfect for someone without any miniatures. This strategy card game is just amazing! Thank you developers for making such a great game

Account Reset. After playing for nearly a week and purchasing the Neophyte Pack, I logged in to find that my account was reset to the tutorial. I cannot log in as my original account and see no way to reset it on my side. I logged a ticket and was told that it would be corrected but it has not been fixed from my point of view. Now I cannot see the ticket so I wonder if the Help Ticket was moved to my original account leaving me with the tutorial account. Terribly frustrated and disappointed.

Simple and fun. I really enjoy this game it is well thought out and fun! The quick matches and changes are fun and give you a chance to use troops that you normally wouldn’t. I also love that you get a chance to see the artistry, talent, and dedication of the teams at games workshop who hand paint this highly detailed miniatures!

Highly unbalanced Pay to Win. Unless you’re willing to dump money into this don’t bother. You’re way too limited by the highly randomizes nature of the cards you get. Makes any sort of play completely useless at times and incredibly overpowered at others. They should allow you to choose a faction to play as. It could be fun, but it just isn’t when you have to compete with people dumping hundreds of dollars into it. You aren’t even matched with people at or near your level.

Major Bug Kills It. This game is a lot of fun, but there has been a major bug that has ruined a lot of games where if I select a warlord but then select another warlord, it will go into the game with the previously selected warlord. I have lost important matches in the campaigns and ranked because I have an I’ll-equipped deck with only a warlord or cards that won’t help me, and of course there is no way to exit these matches.

Becoming pay to win. Before it didn’t feel like pay to win but since they removed the 100 daily free coins it feels like such a grind.. and they started charging 500 plasma for a legendary card in the card shop which used to be 500 coins.. they’re getting greedy. They changed the card shop so instead of paying 40 coins for 2 of a common card and next paying 80 for 4. Now it’s 160 coins for 4 of a common??! Why r y’all double the price it’s dumb

Genuinely love this game. I went ranks 1-15 without laying a dime and had a blast, building my chaos worshipping army and spreading the eight fold path through the galaxy. I finally bought the battle pass for 8 bucks at level 15 and it is well worth it! Not pay to play and very fun and rewarding!

Broken Matchmaking. Matchmaking becomes broken the higher you get. Because of the leveling system higher levels get more deck points to work with and have stronger versions of cards to use. Once you start facing decks that are rated much higher there is no reason to waste your time on the battle. This becomes a constant and frankly makes it a waste of time to try to accomplish dailies. I like a challenge to feel like I am succeeding, but this just grinds you into dust day in and day out.

Love it. Patience pays off.. This game explores deep into the Warhammer 40k lore with descriptions behind each card. The staff is helpful however every time I’ve received a reply on my “ticket” it’s said “unable to load messages” so that’s a small downside. Hopefully that part is fixed soon but other than that it’s one of my most favorite apps.

WORST MATCHMAKING EVER. If you’re looking to play this game for free, good luck. Unless you shell out tons of money for a quick catch up, you’ll be matched up and slaughtered by high level players. I am a 15 getting matched against captains and chapter whatevers who have larger decks and higher cards. You can’t fast forward battles so you have to spend 5-8 minutes sending out cards like lemmings to get bodied.

Review. Despite not being extremely intuitive, if you play it long enough to understand how to play effectively enough to semi-reliably win I feel like you’ll get enjoyment out of it. Also the cards being the models that are perfectly painted is a beautiful touch.

Great casual Warhammer game. Warhammer combat cards does a great job of letting the player collect beautifully painted figures. The game is deep enough to be interesting but casual enough for anyone to play. What I like most is the lore that the game highlights. As a long time 40k player, I appreciate being able to get back into the lore.

Getting worse by the day. Constant card releases to already bloated pools with zero forethought and refusal to fix simple game mechanics. The developers continue to release bug-laden cards and special rules while expecting players to provide quality control. If you want to spend 10+ minutes a match and hours of your week to accomplish very little, then this may be your game. As for me, I’m grabbing my fishing pole while they get their act together.

Great card game. Very fun game. I love the weekly campaigns and monthly arena, rewarding with various free cards & card packs. Daily free packs too. Artwork and lore are a plus. The only downside is the match making. There are times being unfairly overmatched. Once played an opponent that had 263 power points vs my 148. Ha! It did not end well. Still highly recommend.

Don’t know if it’s good because I couldn’t play it. The tutorial was completely lackluster, and during it I reached a point where I couldn’t play. Couldn’t start a match of any kind. Didn’t know what to do. There was no instruction if any kind. It seemed like it wanted me to edit my deck, but there was nothing to edit. I was trapped in a no-play zone. Unfortunately, after many attempts I ended up deleting the game. Off to find a working card game.

Simple, strategic, a bit slow. The game itself is fun in its simple strategy. Trying to find the different combinations can be interesting with focusing on faction specific or mixing allies. Progressing and reward gaining can be a bit slow after the initial few levels. One could easily play a bit in the morning and the evening to get all the rewards for the day

Honest review. I will start this review by saying that this game is a lot of fun, at first. The problem comes once you level up quite a bit. This game is not pvp in terms of player vs player, it is player va AI. Wether the game takes players accounts with their last used squad and pits you against said players accounts. Or it generates lists based on your level, you will find that when you get around level 25 you will start fighting cards that are level 13, legendaries that are level 5. The problem is that by that time your cards are on average maybe 6 a few of your legendaries might be 3 the rest 1-2

Money grab. Lot system is horrible. Wait time is horrible. Match making system makes you feel like you need to pay to even get a chance to compete. (Downloaded yesterday and first person I went against only had three cards in their deck that did more damage then any of my cards life points.) tried to give it time and kept playing. Out of a grand total of 20 rounds only won about 2 or three. Got crushed without even taking out one of their cards. To wrap it up DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO WITH YOUR TIME!!!

Dumb. You get put against people over three times your strength, and they expect you to use skill and tactics to beat someone who can one hit kill any card you have. They make the campaign to much of a pay to win for better cards, so you never get very far unless you grind for months to get some ok cards.

Long wait times.... This game is fun at first. Until you get to the point where you’re waiting to open rewards. Waiting to play the campaign. Waiting to open free packs so that you can upgrade cards. Of course you can PAY to continue. That’s what this game really is. A brilliantly annoying trap to induce micro transactions. At a certain point there’s no reason to continue playing for hours until things reset. Or you can buy Plasma to continue. No thanks.

Good game (fixed). I have absolutely had a blast playing this game on my off time. It is very satisfying to win a battle and I love the missions that happen giving me a chance to get more cards of my preference. The only downside is that there is a slow load time and on one occasion the game completely broke and so I had to redownload the app it would be 5 stars but these are my only complaints

Highly Enjoyable. I’m a 40k nerd who has played everything but proper 40k tabletop, and this game does well by the ip. All your favorite characters and factions are there. Gameplay is fast and straightforward thanks to small deck sizes and simple mechanics, but there’s a lot of depth to be found. Timing, learning the factions and warlords, tweaking your deck, are all very satisfying and tactical without being overwhelming. Monetization seems perfectly fine. I haven’t spent a dime (yet; waiting on some ork goodies to buy) and still feel like I’m getting a full experience. Whether you like 40k or are looking for a new Hearthstone style deck-builder, it’s hard to go wrong with this one. To summarize: WAAAGH!!

What used to be a good game, ruined by pay to win and broken balancing. I’m not sure what happened to this game but I used to really enjoy it. Now I feel like the only thing I run into all the time is overpowered decks that are nigh impossible to counter even when I have high powered units of my own. It feels like matches are decided entirely on which over powered warlord you pick (or bought) and cards that tank up to 300 damage while wiping out anything I throw at them. I won’t pretend to be a pro, but I’m never going to get to that point when someone can just pay for a trio of cards powerful enough to wipe out an entire deck. It wouldn’t be so bad if campaign mode was an actual campaign and not just a weekly event clearly designed to milk more cash out of people.

We got a bug. The shroud-psalm ability of Magos Dominus Ivasnophon, does not work in conjunction with Kaptin Badrukks’ Da Rippa special rule, I’ve been watching closely and every time the ability that should deal ranged damage triggers and a unit heals, the damage is completely negated regardless of which unit is struck by the ranged damage. Thank you for your help. Other than this issue the game is incredible keep up the good work!

Fun Game. Needs Actual PvP Though. Having a lot of fun with this game. Though my biggest problem is that you can’t actually take on live opponents; only CPU-controlled decks of real players. I think they try to trick you into thinking that you’re playing a real opponent? For some reason there’s a ping when you’re in a match... lol. Not sure what the deal is there. I’d actually consider spending money on this game if we could test our skills against friends and players online.

Amazing!!. Just an amazing game!! I started playing it and now my wife and 2 boys are also. We just love it! Great customer service also. Upgraded my phone so I had to reinstall game and customer service switched my account over very quickly. Great game from a great company.

4/5 but could be 5/5. I feel like there should be some type of actual animation when they fight. All the cars are doing is touching each other when instead it could be those characters doing an animation or something.

Still in the early stages of development. This games still need work but I’m enjoying it so far. It’s a fun little game but it lacks a reason to keep playing once your objectives are complete and your waiting the hours for your chests to unlock. The inability to attack different lanes can be frustrating but I understand that’s part of the game. I’m looking forward to see how this game develops overtime.

Consumer friendly app. I’m incredibly impressed that I haven’t had to pay a penny to enjoy this game. There is absolutely no pay wall/pay to play or pay to win aspect at all and you are constantly receiving free cards. It is SUCH a fun game and definitely worth your time.

Decent but lacking. Pros: app runs smooth, can be fun and simple to learn Cons: sometimes can get boring strategy seems limited at times. The interface isn’t as organized as it should be. Game is too slow, forces payment. If you are going for a free to play approach, there’s literally a stop point where if you play, there is no reward because of a long wait time for a reward. Games workshop has always been greedy anyways so nothing new there

A good pooping game. I have maxed out my player rank and finally decided to write a review. This is a good game to waste time while pooping, but not much else. Do not be fooled by appearances because this is not a PvP game. You play solely against bots, which means the only challenge comes when you are way down on card level or deck points. If you go into this expecting a quick time waster, then you will enjoy it. Just don’t fall into the trap of spending actual money, because it will be very tempting.

Free to lose. As a fan of Warhamner 40k, it was very enjoyable to see different painted models offered as playable cards. However, the matchmaking system is an absolute joke. No amount of strategy can hope to overcome repeatedly being pitted against opponents who outnumber your level by multiple factors. Never mind that the simplistic lane-attack system forgoes strategy on anything but a basic measure. This would definitely be worth more stars and time if each round played wasn’t a roll of the dice against the Emperor Himself. Ave Imperator.

Really good game. This game is really good it’s a fun enjoyable card game. The tutorial is not so much it explains how to win what to do BUT it does not explain how to attack. That’s the most important part of the game though. The online connect to other players is needed would be nice to play with other players and have fun together. Overall it’s a pretty good game it just needs some improvement.

Why warhammer is for you. I’ve been playing combat cards for a while and I think I will get around to getting the actual models! I’ve been inspired by warhammer my entire life and would love for you to keep it up! I’m loving what you are doing with the game’s play style!

Non-Existent Tutorial, A Grind. The cards themselves have renders of professionally painted GW minis, as well as a blurb about what they are in universe. But there really isn’t a clear stat line or tutorial to point things out to you. The overall presentation is fine, especially when the music amps up when the ‘boss’ card is deployed. But the entire game just felt like I was guessing what to do as opposed to being strategic in any way.

At first good but then.... The game starts very easy. Easy to pick up and learn but soon it becomes apparent they are pandering to whales. As more cards get released it makes the pool of cards bigger which makes it harder to get the cards you need to power up your existing cards. Not to mention they have “exclusive” cards released in the shop that start at $20 USD and can ONLY be found in the store. So they are constantly pushing for the P2W crowd and only them.

Another Cash Extracting App. It’s more like Hearthstone than Pokémon or MTG. Decks consist of 1-5 cards on average, played 3 vs 3 at a time tops. Not very complex or strategic. You can attack with Ranged, Psychic, or Melee attacks; each card has their own dmg values for each type alongside their toughness rating (health). But getting new cards is agonizingly slow. If you somehow manage to beat other players with the trash cards you start off with then you’ll have to wait hours to open the pack of cards you may have earned. There’s no AI duel mode besides the “Campaign” mode that you have to be Rank 5 to unlock, and even those are just timed events that cost 1/5 energy every time you play a match vs the campaign AI. And the campaign AI gets tougher every time you beat them, so it feels like diminishing returns. But if you pay money to unlock everything, like every other rip off app on mobile, you’ll be fine. You’ll love it.

Pretty solid. I don’t usually play mobile games but this one has held my attention, been playing about 2 maybe 3 years consistently, login do a couple things build up my decks simple enough to start but enjoyable. I’v played tabletop 40K for over 20 years now and this is a nice way to get my fix on lunch break, or the like

Fun, but Unrewarding. I enjoy this game, and would gladly play battle after battle. However, there is nothing to gain from battles. You do not gain exp, money, cards, or premium currency. You do get a pack (that takes 3-12 hours to open) after each battle, but can only open 1 at a time, and can only hold 5. That means that, at best, you are rewarded for 1 battle every 3 hours. Other than that, there is nothing to work for, nothing to gain, grind, or grow. Playing literally becomes pointless.

Great game, even better support. The game is growing and the team is in constant communication with the community and adding new quality of life features or completely new things with regularity. I had an issue with loosing my account and in less than a day it was resolved. They communicate and react which is more than I can say for other games.

Classic GW. It’s classic in a lot of ways. The game itself is a remake of a classic, but there’s a lot of GW’s negative traits too. It’s very pay-to-win at this early stage, even more than some of the other games (HH Legions, Freeblade, Space Wolf). There also doesn’t seem to be much of a balancing of the PvP matches in terms of levels. You’re going to be going up against players who are far ahead of you so they can plunk down more cards with higher point totals than what you have. Part of the problem is that you can only advance to higher levels (and thus more cards and more points) by winning games... which you can’t because of the aforementioned issues. Ultimately game is fun and has potential, but needs some balancing so new players don’t get run off and unable to advance.

FOR THE EMPERORRRRR. Fun game, definitely has grindy elements....and sometimes the matchmaking gets you curbstomped...but it’s competitive and fun. I dig the different units and powers. I can pick it up, play, and put it down without checking every 10 minutes...overall fun and casual enough for me.

Can’t finish tutorial. Every time it becomes my turn in the second battle tutorial it disconnects and says reconnecting, which it never does. Will try again but until this is fixed I can’t recommend anyone download this.

Fun game, bad optimization?. I dunno what’s with this game specifically because I have no problems with any other game on my phone - I have an iPhone 12 and the stuttering, lag and slowdowns I get with this game is atrocious. It makes me more hesitant to spend money on a game when even just trying to navigate the menus and choose cards to add to my deck feels like pulling teeth. Hoping it’s just this version or something and that it’s something being worked on.

Never a fair fight. I played this for all of a few hours, and for all that time I never once won a single fight. Every time I would begin a game, the opponent would either have more cards than me, or their cards would be so ridiculously powerful that I would just get destroyed. There’s no way to get more cards if you don’t win, you can’t get experience if you don’t win, or if you don’t get cards to upgrade your cards with. I love warhammer, but this game is just infuriating.

Very fun but after lost update…. After the last update I keep having loading issues to buy things, war, can’t really do anything but load in and see my currency, cards and a bunch of loading
