Don’t bother. It’s not really free, they make you get a subscription. Used the 1 week free trial to explore the app. Does not give you all the colors! Even ones that are prominent in the photo, nope not in the palette. There’s no undo button if you accidentally move the image to far. Can’t download the palettes they show. Not enough customizable options. Overall, not worth it. Don’t buy.

I Love this app 🙌🏽 I LOVE THEIR HASHTAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I’m a fan page on Instagram & I had been slacking in likes lately & so I went lurking for new editing ideas & came across this one after I found so many that I downloaded & erased bc a lot of apps swear they are the best but are clearly not !!!! BUT THIS APP IS AWESOME 🙏🏽I’ve had my fan pages for 3 years now & the last 7 months my fan page was slowly deteriorating... THEN I found THIS app & it has helped me regain my likes back up to at least 200 or more & and my page looks more organized with their format & the new update lets you get all the colors of the rainbow!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS APP & THE INCREDIBLE HASHTAGS !!!! A lot of the fan pages I see don’t use hashtags anymore but I used these hashtags as well from this app & my new views on my page went up over 50% !!!!!! You can even check my page grade and see it went up extremely & brought more clicks also from new followers!!!! If you need more followers & more comments then I’d HIGHLY recommend this to everyone for all especially if you are a page that needs heavy traffic & we all want traffic on our page to see what we promote or sell !!! Worthless. First monthly subscription....really, 2nd doesn’t work on newer iPad Pro

Not for Me. I didn’t really feel this added anything to my photos. I realize the developer had to put time and energy into making the app, but it’s not really worth what they’re charging. Maybe a one time .99 charge would be more in line with its actual worth.

Cash grab tactics.. Honestly, as soon as I saw “Start your free trial” and saw there was a subscription attached to it after 7 days, I deleted it. Didn’t bother to try the app.

Useless. This has to be hands down one of the most useless apps on the App Store. The only thing it does is add a color palette to your photo... that’s it. And they claim it adds creativeness? I just don’t understand it, there’s nothing creative about adding a useless color palette to your photo. And to have people have the option to pay for different shape palettes? Jeez, what a money grab this is.

Most helpful!. We painted our bathroom a slightly off-the-norm color and I was having a difficult time accessorizing. Our son, who is, among other things, a professional artist recommended the app. It was exactly what we needed to successfully complete the project. Thanks Is app can be used for clothing choices, paint choices, furniture, etc. Love it!

Incredible. I have never written a review on any app but I felt I needed to for this one. One minute into opening the app I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. I’d love to donate to the developers. Amazing app

Not Free. Be advised it’s only a trial. After that it’s $4.99 a month. Why is it even allowed to post it as free.

Love!. This is a super cool app that can definitely enhance your photos. Convenient and fast way to get the same effect you could create on photoshop but easily on your iPhone !

Useless. The first thing it tells you to do is go into a free trial, and after one week it’ll automatically start charging you. Keep in mind, you can’t get to any of the features until you do this. If I wanted to pay for the app, I would’ve paid upfront.

This app has so much to offer!. For one, the pallettes are beautiful and the app runs smoothly. The sample gallery looks nice and always provides inspiration which is great. My whole Instagram feed consists of photos with pallettes from this app, ever since January! The only thing I would recommend is more choices for the canvas pallettes with the white border, and a better implementation for tall vertical photos.

PaletteRepublic. It’s OK; however, I hate the subscription concept and it just doesn’t work well enough to justify the one-time purchase cost. Also, it should be available for iPads in landscape mode! I would prefer to click on the area of the photo that has the color I want to add to the palette. Also, how on earth can you make an app like this social, with “challenges”?? Ridiculous! The layouts are nice and professional; however, the colors automatically chosen seem not to correspond well with the colors I am viewing in the photo (example: where are the greens in palm trees?). So, app needs work.

Meh. Talk about your one-trick pony. Okay, this app lets you add a palette as a graphic element. Cute the first seven times, but it gets old fast. The subscription model adds insult to injury. Much ado about almost nothing. And the forced trial signup is just heavy handed. Pass.

Not worth the money. This app is a single effect one-trick pony with an insanely expensive subscription to use even the most basic functionality. No way, Jose.

Free at first but then monthly fee. I downloaded to try this app and was prompted to agree to a free trial then 4.99/month after the trail ended.

Buggy and needs simple but crucial updates. need ability to lock background image in place it’s SO TOUCHY. needs resize-sliders esp for palette size. BUT most importantly: needs to offer a custom option with dropper tool where you manually pick & load which colors you want in a palette !! aka the OG way to make them and pretty much the core essence of this art style. wish i didn’t pay $10 cus i am manic.

Nice app but it crashes a lot. I like the design and the picking function but it’s crashed on me a few times and takes a while to load

DO NOT PURCHASE!. Seriously? I purchased “Side Pallets” and its so out of wack! Even when you try to resize the colors to fit pic it just messe up picture frame! Gave another change and purchased “ Gradient” and its even worse!!! It wont even change schemes !! I want a FULL REFUND now please. Completely UNACCEPTABLE to sell something that is not even working.

What happened??. I used to use this app all the time, but the last update took away almost all of the free palettes, which is really disappointing. I'm going to delete it now, as there are virtually no options anymore.

Fun new app. This is a great way for businesses to engage their audience with new content via social media. Well worth the $4 a month! The developer is very responsive so if you have any ideas for the app then let them know! Will definitely be using this for Instagram stories in the future as well as Facebook post. I could even see people using this for artistic postcards to send to people.

No functionality without payment. The app is useless. You can’t do ANYTHING without signing up for a subscription. You can’t even see if the app is worth paying for. (Narrator: It’s not.). Clearly the intent here is that you get 7 days free and then will forget about the $4.99 a month you will be charged afterward.

I recently downloaded this app because I was shown the cool stuff and I was told it has a lot of free palettes but when I got it there is literally no choice of more then six palettes and I’m really disappointed I was so excited to use this but now I can’t bc I have limited access and I don’t want to pay 10 dollars just for some color palettes on my photos it makes me really sad

If I wanted a palette subscription, I’d be ordering Jeffree Star’s makeup palettes 😒. I thought this was gonna be an awesome app, but why does it have a subscription? Five dollars a month to put palettes on my pictures?? Seriously? Just charge 99 cents or whatever up front and move on. I’m uninstalling. Super disappointed.

Not what I was hoping for.. No way to select which colors get picked, how many colors get picked, etc. It's nearly impossible to organize the colors. The palettes look great, format-wise, but it's just not as customizable as I'd hoped.

How is this free to use?. You have to sign up for the 7 day trial that converts to a pay subscription if you want to use it.

Free trial then paid subscription.. Just no to this method of scam. Couldn’t even try it without requiring a card. 7 day free trial then subscription fee. Don’t waste your time.

Monthly subscription?!. Everyone is just here is take your money. I wouldn’t mind paying a one time fee, but when they want to take money from you every month... it’s just disappointing

Lack of freedom. This app offers everything but the most important aspect of a palette app, CHOOSING THE PALETTES. You cannot choose the colors you want to display from your photo. Therefore, Palette Republic uses some weird sort of automated color recognition tool that doesn't give you any of the colors you desire from your photo. This essentially makes the app useless, as the colors you recieve are in no way, shape or form, the colors you desire. Until this is corrected, the app is considered atrocious.

Fun solid app but it would be better with a opacity Scale. It’s very easy to use, at times it can be a little slow but overall it’s a great app with good features for free and a larger variety of features for their premium service. The one suggestion I have is add a opacity slider so we can make the pallets that cover the actual picture more transparent.

Good concept, nice layouts, but most important feature missing. It has some gorgeous layouts ready for you to just plug in your photos to. Only issue is - and it's a major one - that you can't change the colours on the palette, and the existing AI is... not the greatest. It auto-generates colour schemes for you, but almost all of mine don't even include the main colour in ANY of the generated ones? I'll have a photo with 5 hot pinks and a yellow background and it pulls the one small area that has brown from a shadow and make palettes out of that. It's absolutely wild. It's good for photos that are basically 1 colour with various hues; anything else and you'll be incredibly frustrated. So basically, 99% of the time. It's a bit upsetting, because I like the layouts, but not being able to choose your own combo of colours and a relatively bad generator makes for a bit of a bummer as far as experience goes. I will update my review as time goes on, but I'm unsure how frequently this app is modified.

Monthly Subscription ONLY. It begins showing all these cool things you can do then immediately hits you with a “free trial” and subscription. Unless you have 4.99 a month to spare, I’d give it a pass. I’d be more willing to try this app if it had in-app purchases in an upgrade style instead of straight away “pay now for months” thing. 👎🏻 Heck if rather pay 20 dollars for it all now then do monthly.

Doesn’t work. I downloaded it and it didn’t even work. The screen was black and I even swiped the app up and closed it and restarted it.

Subscription is way over-priced!. I can’t figure out why the prices are so high. There’s nothing very special going on. Being able to export the palettes to Procreate would be useful. One problem about making a palette from a photo: just because the colours exist in a photo doesn’t necessarily mean they go well together.
