Excellent Mail Application. I’ve been using this mail application for several years and have been completely satisfied with it’s performance, features, and the support of their staff in resolving problems. I am a private user who has used various EMail applications over a computer career beginning in 1980 and continuing to retirement. In retirement I found Alta Mail met my expectations and more. This is the only application that provided all I wanted and much, much more. I especially appreciate the ability to setup EMail groups and send to them with simple actions. AltaMail is complex and filled with features I’m sure I’ll never use but confident that should I need something it’ll be there. Support has been exemplary. I’m very impressed with their attention to requests for support and their willingness to work toward solutions. (Feb 23, 2023) Still enjoy Alta Mail as it works well across all my Apple devices. (Jul 12, 2023) So far, this application has met or exceeded my expectations. My standard email companion was the PC version of Microsoft Outlook for over 20 years. Upon retirement, this was the only application that equaled Outlook and I’m totally satisfied with it. I highly recommend this application.(May 2024) No change in opinion. Handling of Spam has been improved and much appreciated. (Jul 2024) Update Appreciated.

Ugly, but with outstanding features.. Features and build quality: 5/5 Actual email viewing experience: 2/5 First off, I bought the one year upgrade for this app while still in the trial period—and I have zero regrets. I tried this client for one reason: you can view FULL HEADERS. One tap for a considerable amount of message detail, all neatly sorted. Another tap for the full header I’m looking for. The UI isn’t pretty—at all. I spent about half an hour adjusting settings to get it to “acceptable.” HALF AN HOUR—there were SO MANY options, so much control over the appearance, and it was all really intuitive. It really is a great app with a ton of useful features. However, this isn’t likely to become my default mail app. The default text size was really small. No problem, adjusted that. But, in doing that, it greatly increased the line height/leading, as though it was double-spaced. HTML message rendering is ‘off’ compared to the Mail app, there’s a lot of content crammed to one side, it doesn’t make use of the full viewing area. I toggled between several different HTML emails in the two apps and the results were consistent, Mail app pretty, AltaMail not so much. The App Store receipt that came in after my purchase was unforgivably ugly. Unreadable, text blocks piled on top of one another. Less helpful summary of my biggest complaints: For the love of all that is good, hire a graphic artist, this looks like it was made by a developer.

Superb email performance. I recommend spending a little time surveying the various settings, then going back over them to continue trying out some ideas you may have for your desired workflow. I customized the side and action menus and returned again and again to Settings | Email Management. Throughout my tour, this app *functioned pleasingly well, and I encountered few bugs. The Help is extensive and useful when something needs clarification. Now I have a setup to manage email that addresses the functionality I've been looking for—a dozen apps later. Worth every penny, and more.

Continue to have problems. Continue to have problems. Update did not help. Every time I check my mail I get a pop-up that says,”EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN DELAYED. PERHAPS YOU DID A FORCE QUIT OF THIS APP”. I get this every time and on both of my iPads and I have not ‘Force Quit’ the app. I’m not sure why this app continues to have problems. I still get ‘EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN DELAYED’ every time I open my mail. I have been told twice that the new update would solve the problem, but they didn’t. I have 2 iPads and I have the same issue on both of them. My subscription will be up for re-newel in a couple months and I will not do it again. It is a shame because I loved the first Altamail before they made it ‘better’. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hidden Gem. Updated review - The app is great, but I have issues receiving email on a regular basis without me having to open the app, and making it force a sync. Some email texts are not formatted correctly. I have to swipe from left to right and vice versa to read and see the entire body of the Email. Maybe after the next update I will try it again. Right now it’s unreliable. Previous review - I’m surprised I didn’t come across this app any sooner. I have searched high and low for an email client just like this. Has the same if not more options than my Outlook 2016 software application on my PC. There is every option imaginable and more. From rules, sounds and notifications. Support is very responsive. Very good FAQ. The GUI interface could use some polishing. I’m a Widows PC user. The Alata Mail GUI interface reminds me of Windows 3.1. Kinda choppy. Sometimes the interface is hard to work with on an iPhone X. All in all it’s very good. I’m sure the developers will continue to improve its functionality and appearance. I will be buying the 1 year subscription. Bravo...job well done.

5 Star Rating. This is the Best e-mail program bar none. It takes some reading to learn everything that this program can do. Customer support is readily available when you need it, and will stick with you until any and all problems solved. I highly recommend this mail app and you will be elated to have installed this, my go to mail program.

Get this app!. This app is awesome! First off, it allows you to view the header of an email, a feature not often seen for iPhones. Secondly, the app does this really cool thing where it compiles multiple emails from a single sender into a viewable format where you can scroll down and read the emails. Even though there is an in-app purchase, as far as I know there is no need to buy it to get rid of ads since there are no ads. It’s hard to find apps that are free that are free of ads.

Anti Spam excellence. The UI takes a bit to get used to. At first I didn’t like AltaMail and was going to drop it. After using it for a month, I’m more used to it. So I’m now a paying customer. Somehow my email was leaked to super spammy gmail addresses. Now my in box is pretty clear. It’s worth trying for a month. And I still use Apple Mail or Outlook on the occasion.

Always Improving & Problem Solving for Users. Just had a problem with the software scrolling through and opening all emails when the AltaMail app was opened. Referred the issue to Support and once I provided the needed information from my device, they solved the problem and released an update in several days for all users. They are problem solvers that are very responsive to their users, which is unusual in my experience.

Top Notch!. I’ve tried just about every email client that is available and finally believe that I’ve found what I’ve been looking for. It has everything that I’ve been looking for and more. I wanted fingerprint security, smart folders, the ability to select a folder for filing an email by scrolling or typing the folder name, to choose if I want to view emails as conversations or separately, multiple signatures for each mail account, multiple mail accounts, etc.

Not the most intuitive, but the most complete E-mail client. Every time I try another, I quickly come back to this one. The only iOS client I know that lets you collapse a complex IMAP folder tree for storing E-mail you want to keep or archive. The new version fixes a number of issues I found annoying in the “classic” AltaMail, and introduces a few new bugs, but I think it is well worth the learning curve. Even though it is now a subscription-based app, I expect to pay up and stick around.

Beware!!. This app now requires a subscription, which I am ok with because it is a very good email app. Been using it in one form or another for at least 4 years. However, they apparently haven’t worked the bugs out of the subscription situation yet. I just got an error message out of the blue (no forewarning) that the time on my free trial has gone to zero and I am now essentially locked out of the app. Ok, where and how do I pay? There is no indication how to do that and the app just sits there “loading” (something) Thoroughly peed at this app!! UPDATE: As I stated, this is a very good email program and the only one I have found that suits my needs. The payment problem was a glitch on the part of AltaMail and was quickly fixed.

Altamail is unique.... Options, options, options. This email app has a lot. I'm still exploring them all. This app does take time to learn. I think their User Information could be better written. However, that said, that information is now printable as a .pdf. My thanks to Melissa for pointing this out to my satisfaction. They're still coming out with new features and area very inexpensive.

Best I’ve found.. Have been using AltaMail for several years now. I am quite happy with its extensive capabilities. Occasionally, however, I become intrigued by other email clients that have both IOS and MacOS versions. Ideally, I would like that. So, for a day or two, from time to time, I will try other email apps. Inevitably, I go right back to AltaMail, because it’s such a great IOS app. If the developer ever releases a MacOS version of AltaMail, I’ll be totally thrilled. Till then, I am grateful to have and use the iPhone/iPad version.

The best email. I feel like this will be the only email that you’ll ever be able to do everything that is necessary from editing, sending documents. Also I think i this email will be safer with the security and will not be able to be hacked. It seems like this particular email will do anything and everything that you need possible to send Documents and feel really safe about them not being hacked into. I think it’s fantastic

Packed with features and backed with great support. I’ve been a subscriber of this software for several years now and I continue to renew. It is hard to imagine how the developers could pack one more feature into it. You can tell they’re committed to that however and also to their customers’ satisfaction. Give it a try, especially if you’re using POP3 (but it does also support IMAP). Also, you may enjoy the way they use color, different font sizes etc. to help differentiate parts of the interface and of the emails themselves. I’m sold on Altamail!

AltaMail. I have been using this app for many years. I am not an expert in problems tha might arise with email problems, but when I have a problem I cannot solve AltaMail experts are quick to respond to my request and provide solutions in a few short hours. Don’t think you can find a better company or a better app then AltaMail. Know I will always use this app...

A robust email app - the last you’ll need. If you have several email accounts, use throwaway emails and need the ability to quickly add aliases when you need to reply with one of those throwaways, or like running a bunch of rules on emails to automate email redirection and tagging, look no further - you’ve found your app. I have tried over a dozen different apps over the years, and this one did all the things I needed and more. And unlike many of the top mail apps, your privacy is kept intact using this app. I’ve also sent suggestions to customer support, and not only do they respond quickly, but they actually work to implement the suggestions (well, the good ones, I suppose :) ). Throw in that they offer a lifetime subscription that works across all of the platforms for one payment, and I am kicking myself for taking so long to invest fully in this app. Take the time to customize things the way you want, and you won’t be sorry!

The best of all the email apps. I’ve tried every single email application on the store over the years and altamail blows them all away with a doubt. It’s been so trusty over the years it’s probably the only app I’ve ever bought for the original pricing, paid for the subscription when they switched, then paid again for the lifetime without throwing a fit over. My only suggestion is I hope they add bionic reading to the font selection soon, it’s been a godsend to those of us that are neurodivergent.

Superb support. The previous update had severe crashing problems, first time anything like that had ever happened. I sent a support request and within literally 3 hours a response came back that a new version was released that fixed it. And yes it did. Have been using this app heavily for almost 10 urea’s and it’s still the best for large volumes of email.

The Best EMail App period. The filtering and notifications capability of this application, particularly combined with the ease-of-use, has made this email app might go to solution. In fact, I’m so inspired by it (in contrast with Microsoft outlook) that I’ve purchased a MacBook Air just for the abilityTo use and manage my email with this program on a laptop.

Emails are ok, the Rules are great!!!. I bought this application for the ability to have rules in iOS like my Mac has. The product does what I needed to get my junk email under control. Someone spam-bombed me and I went from 2 to 5 a day to 150 or even more a day. As long as I keep up with adding new domains as they appear in my in box. I did not gave it 5 stars because the readability of emails is really bad. I’ve gotten used to iOS Apple email and AltaMail is just hard to read. Also I would be great to have a rule short cut that would grab a email’s from email address and create a rule to send that domain to the Trash. Again absolutely love the ability to create real rules. Thanks for a great app for email rules and I recommend it to anyone who needs a highly developed rule system.

It’s ok. A little difficult to navigate between the folder arrangements. Once you get use to the menu options it’s pretty good. Made an incredible difference with spam management- well worth it to preserve my email address.

Latest version is unusable. Long touch is the worst feature these folks have come up with yet. Every time I touch the screen to scroll or to select an email a menu pops up. I spend more time figuring out how to dismiss useless and unwanted menus than I do reading emails. These guys are so hung up on adding new features that they have lost sight of the basic function the app is supposed to provide: efficient reading and processing email. Overnight and in one release cycle this app went rom useful though clunky to awful and unusable. Seriously looking at returning to Gmail and Outlook apps so I can just get thru my inbox without endless struggle.

Support. I’ve used AltaMail Classic for years and it recently stopped working with the latest version of iOS so I upgraded. I had trouble with my attempts to get my POP account working. An email to support resulted in a quick solution by Melissa. The prompt and polite attention was appreciated. Thanks

One of the best email clients. I didn’t give 5 stars only because of user interface design that makes it look a bit cluttered. For example, when selecting folders or accounts in the side bar, it shows the content with no indentation making you look twice among the other options. But it has still many customizable items which can solve things if you know how to use it. Rules are an important feature that distinguishes the software from other solutions.

Gmail no go. Can’t get my gmail account added. I checked the boxes in gmail to enable IMAP settings. Put in user ID in AltaMail and as soon as I hit enter it removed the password box? If gmail didn’t require a password I don’t think there would be anyone using it because anyone would be able to get into their gmail account. So why does an email app think that gmail doesn’t require a password. Especially one that requires you to donate 99 cents ever month to help with updates. The craziest thing about this is my cox email went right through with no problem and that’s crazy because cox doesn’t even want to do emails. They literally have stopped issuing emails to new customers who sign up for internet service. Because of that cox is the hardest IMAP email to set up and yet it went through no problem, but gmail don’t work. After waiting for too long to connect I went ahead and clicked the test button. What did that do? It open up a message that read no password on my gmail account. So I put it in and nothing. I don’t think that 99 cents per month is helping or your programmers are former cox employees. Because that is the only reason I can think why it was so fricken easy and that would explain why cox gave up on the email side of the business.

Exelent app, and incredible support. I have been using AltaMail for several years without any problem and with great joy until a problem raised. After which I found that not only they have created a great product, they really stand by it and definitely engage you in order to either help you to overcome the problem or in my case stay with you until they understand what is going on and correct what ever is going on as soon as posible. I was one of those affected by the iCloud/me mail issue and that was handled brilliantly and the fix was included almost immediately (just few days after the problem was understood). Thank you all (I should have wrote this earlier... but you now, life gets always in the middle!)

Stability needs some work. Now that the app has started working with my Exchange account again I can say that this app blows all others out of the water when it comes to features. One in particular is incoming mail rules! The app however does tend to crash a lot and some times the email rules don’t get processed until I manually go in and run them. But once all the stability issues are worked out this app will be here to stay on my iPhone forever.

Very Disappointed. It did filter things, but it when it tried to talk to the Yahoo server it kept getting data errors when I deleted or sent mail. I have NO problem with the Yahoo account from apple mail on the iPad. The final straw was when we went to print out a receipt, (ironically for payment to them) We had never had occasion to print anything before that. When we tried to print, instead of using the standard iOS interface it substituted it’s own, which did not work. When it’s built in print que failed, it suggested that I should install the wetprint app. I googled “wetprint for apple iPad” and came up dry. No mention of it in the google database. I had just paid for it but the print failure on top of a day spent messing with it’s failure to actually delete the spam it found because it did not seem able to talk to Yahoo. It kept saying that the problem was yahoo couldn’t take the data. It kept posting error messages from the Yahoo server about data overload. It must be sending stuff in bad format because Apple mail worked fine. Worst money I spent this month.

Good Concept.... ... and a beautiful interface but every time I open the app and it starts downloading mail from my server, the app hangs and has to be terminated and restarted. I hope they can fix that bug because I would really love to give AltaMail a college try. Edit 1: I'm still having the freezing problem as of earlier today but I'm upping my star rating to four just because their tech and developer support has been absolutely phenomenal. I've never worked with an app development team this competent and attentive to a single customer's needs. They have been amazing. Once this freezing problem is resolved, it'll be a five star rating for sure. Edit 2: AltaMail has officially won a five star rating. It's a great little piece of software and it has a phenomenal development and customer service team behind it. They fixed the freezing problem with their latest update. It was literally four days from my submitting the ticket to resolution. That is some serious customer support. It gets the five stars if for not other reason than that.

Crashes to much. I didn’t want to give this app 1 star because it seems to be a nice mail app overall. High learning curve, a lot of things that don’t seem to do what they are named traditionally in other email programs. Example, folders and Smart Folders don’t seem to actually create folders. They just seem to create different types of searches I think. It was unclear exactly what they do. Anyway, it’s far more complicated than what I am looking for and crashes 2 to 3 times every time I use it. Very frustrating.

AltaMail App is great!. Although I am still a newby and learning my way around, But, this APP is the BEST email app I have ever used to date. And I have used most all Mail Apps looking for a SPAM cure. But AltaMail is so far the best. And, I say that because My Spam and Junk Mail has finally found it’s way OUT of my inbox, usually never to be seen again. For years I have been harassed by SPAM mail but with AltaMail now installed...not so much any more. Apples mail app can not match this one and in fact I have Deleted Apple’s App from all my devices, including my iPhone, and replaced it with AltaMail. MY ISP has not been at all helpful in resolving Spam issues. The steps given for such control of SPAM-JUNK mail are complex and time consuming to perform...and don’t even work!! And, now with AltaMail, I don’t have those issues as much anymore. I would love to see the day when a brilliant APP company like this one, can be given permission by a customer, like me, to enter my ISP and help control annoying features like Spam and Junk Mail... That would be worth almost any price for such an app. BUT, this AltaMail APP does not just excel in Spam Kills, but also in Organizing emails so that they are easy to find and store for future use. I love this APP, and I will give another rating after I have had more time. THANKS ALTAMAIL!!!

Paid user, hate support. I’ve paid for years for this app and each time I’ve needed support to report a bug that needs fixing I’m treated like I’m dumb or making it all up - forcing me to capture videos to prove it or get no support at all. I’m not sure why I bother paying for support when this is what I get. You can expect to get a form reply implying you are an idiot, or that no one else has reported this issue, how can it possibly be real etc. Sick of this app and I’m looking elsewhere. Suggest you consider doing the same if you want either a smooth experience, or at least responsive support.

Tech support. Had a problem with my email today and contacted tech support. Auto reply said I would be contacted within 24 hrs. Much to my surprise I got an email within less than an hour. This is really excellent support for a great program. Keep up the great work and to all new potential customers get this and you will be very pleased with program and the tech support.

Altamail. I think this update is much more fluid with variety of options when you swipe. Different sound notifications you can use to adjust to your likings. Over all this update is much better over the older versions. Please continue even making it better in the long run! Great Job!

Latest Update erased my folders. I used to like this app, but it just has too many glitches, especially since it’s not free. Lately it’s gotten pretty annoying. For example, when you try to click on a word in an email you’re writing, such as to correct spelling, it often won’t put the cursor where you tap. The last straw for me was the version 6.6.6 update, which removed all of my personal folders. The emails themselves appeared to have been saved, but now they’re ALL in my ‘In Box’ (hundreds of them).

Somewhat Confusing. 1. This app has so many settings and options. This is both good amd bad. You can set up AltaMail any way you want, but the settings are so confusing that it will take you hours and perhaps days to get it set up they way you want. The setting descriptions and "instructions" are often very difficult to understand. 2. The tech support is indeed fast. But sometimes the instructions are also confusing and inadequate. I’m some cases I have given up trying to implement tech support suggestions. 3. Though the past updates on the Mac and iOS versions tout better synchoniaztion between AltaMail flags and Apple Mail flgs, it simply doesn't work, and after dozens of emails back and forth between tech support and myself, they tell me the issue is something to do with Apple's way of doing things. I wasted so much time trying to figure this out. 4. I have paid for a subscription for the iOS version of AltaMail. I do not mind that. After days and days of setting up all the options, I can live with that, notwithstanding the Flags issue. BUT, to have to pay yet another subscription for the Mac version of AltaMail...that's the deal breaker! Back to AirMail where 1 subscription covers the iOS and Mac version. I give up.

Really Wonderful Upgrade - Saves Me So Much Time. I suggested AltaMail Classic on discussion forum, but had found it too difficult to use before. Discovered that there was this wonderful upgrade. The rules and actions seem to be so much more intuitive now. In just two days, it neatly tamed the avalanche of literally hundreds of email I get each day, and they are all neatly filed instead of going into one big Archive All folder. Will be using AltaMail as my Email App from now on. I can delete all others and cancel subscriptions to services that have never really worked so well. Thank you!

The most sophisticated options and easy to use. I have used quite a few mail apps and this is by far the most robust while being easy to use. Ability to customize many mail management features is highly useful. VERY IMPORTANTLY: This is the only email app that has enabled me to hide the vast amount of email clutter thus enabling me to quickly see the important emails which used to be like finding “needles in a hay stack”. This enables me to QUICKLY glance at the app for what I need (and must not miss) as my days are focused outside email and I do not have the time to manually cull the clutter. Custom notifications are great to have as they reach out of my phone to grab my attention. The extensive means of customizing email lit appearance is also a huge aid in quickly targeting the emails that need attention NOW. My favorite email app keeps on getting better. Awesome!. I used this email app in the past but not getting notifications about new email caused me to go elsewhere. Saw the updated app and decided to try it again and I’m so glad I did! It’s perfect now, and I just trashed my other email apps. It is a wonderful upgrade! Very happy with AltaMail and will never switch again!

Outstanding iOS eMail handler. After suffering with Apples Mail app for years, I started using googles mail app for my gmail accounts. It solved a problem but then I had 2 apps to deal with (I have 6 gmail accounts I manage and several non-gmail. Then AltaMail was mentioned in a Tidbits email so I thought I’d give it a shot, I couldn’t be happier. It does everything I need to manage all my diverse emails and has capabilities I will probably never use! It’s very customizable, has excellent support (yes, tested that too), and is simply so good it’s hard to believe it runs on my iPhone & iPads (excellent on iPads too). Get it, try it, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Excellent mail application. I’ve been using AltaMail for years and it gets better with each release. I’m not very good about sending feedback or suggesting features but it seems like the EuroSmarts developers anticipate their customers needs. I highly recommend AltaMail to anyone who wants a highly functional email app.

Best Email I’ve ever used. I can’t express enough how great the customer service is at AltaMail. I have been a user for a very long time and not once have I emailed them that they didn’t email me back within that day and sometimes within the same hour. They always fix any problems I see immediately and issue an update to solve the problems. This is the only email app I use on my IPhone for the last few years because the Apple email is about useless compared to AltaMail. This app is well worth the money!

ABSOLUTELY the BEST email program in App Store!!. AltaMail is still the overall best, most powerful, flexible, and user-configurable email app in the App Store. I’ve been using it for 5+ yrs and app just keeps getting better. Plus, it has the most powerful spam-filtering rules engine of any email app I’ve ever used (and I’ve used every one in the app store). PLUS, EuroSmartz respects your privacy and doesn’t collect, store, sell, or share ANY user data at all Get it - Use it.

Altamail: Excellent Customer Service!. I recently had a problem with Altamail that involved sending and receiving email. Thanks to Melissa, in Customer Service, we worked together to solve the problem. Even though it took four days to assess and then fix the problem, Melissa kept in constant contact with me until the situation was resolved. The best email app. I have tried about 12-15 apps for emails. I am neither kidding nor exaggerating about that. I have been looking for an email with rules options and not just basic rules but with all the options including “doesn't contain” Clean Email is another good app but expensive and does not support rules like this app, so email filters still lack and require manual work. This app has everything I have been looking for for a few years, and I am shocked I never found this before. I definitely will get the lifetime license because I can stop looking for email apps now.

AltaMail is king of eMail, on iOS. I've tried them all and nothing else comes close (on iOS). Yes, there is a bit of a learning curve, as the default Apperance settings need some customizing. Get that sorted and you should be very happy from then on. Lots of exclusive features and options, like moving emails between accounts (not just folders) and permanently deleting, etc… Takes awhile to learn (all the settings/options), but if you want the best, its worth the time. Also, this might be the only app, where tech support actually responds eagerly, to answer questions and/or fix app issues. They've got AltaMail very well developed now, they recently fixed some issues I reported. I've been using AltaMail since 2016 on my SE and now on my 15Pro. I've gotten to know it pretty well. Can't imagine using anything else.

Comprehensive email client. This little nugget is the App Store’s best kept secret. Much improved over prior version. Although subscription based, it is well worth the cost given the extras you get. Support team have been excellent in updating the client to work with 2-factor verification and Office 365 plus meeting request support.

Really enjoying Alta Mail. The spam filters are no joke, they really work ! I haven’t had to deal with email spam at all since getting this app, which makes me happy. The push service works too, this app gets new emails first. Sometimes message text is hard to read, not sure how to change its color for dark mode readability, but the mere fact that I don’t have to see spam anymore makes it a keeper for me. Love the split pane view option too.

Easy and Efficieent. Altamail has an easy to use interface and lots of features. Options for varying layout of lists and bodies would be a welcome addition. Support is amazingly quick and competent.

Great app but expensive. I’m not a fan of subscription based apps, I’d be more than happy to pay a one off fee to use forever. The upgrade page is a bit misleading: “1 year of updates. Autorenews. Unlimited new feature updates” what it doesn’t say it that all functionality is disabled at end of trial nor does it mention anything full functionality of client restored. Off to find another client which has built in email filtration configuration

Great Spam Filters. This is an excellent app for both receiving and sending emails. It has some of the best spam filtering settings that can be customized to suit most, if not all, spam attacks. Well done!

So far so good.. I’ve tried almost every email client on the App Store. So far AltaMail does everything I want from an email client. I’m still familiarising myself with all of the features so just early days.

Great email program. AltaMail is an awesome mail app. I was getting so much spam over Christmas period and it was driving me nuts. Picked up AltaMail and once the spam filtering settled down it worked well. There is so much in the app and it takes a bit to get your head around but I like it as it is giving me a lot more control over what happens to my mail. Definitely worth the 5 stars. I haven't faulted it yet.

Rules are great. One off the few mail apps that allows one to customise mail autosorting into Folders with your own rules. Needs some work on mapping outlook flags onto AltaMail flags

Highly Recommended. The only e-mail app for iOS I've found that lets me set up the smart folders and views I'm used to on the Mac (with MailMate). Highly customisable, so you can pretty much set it up to suit whatever your preferences and workflows are. I know I'm only scratching the surface of the available features with the way I use it, but it's great to know that I could get to do just about anything I might want should the need arise. The only really missing feature for me is the inability to send plain-text/unformatted e-mail messages (I continue to use the built-in Apple Mail app for this functionality). It would also be nice to have some customisable actions for things like copying a message URL (or at least message id), which would increase the options for third-party app/workflow integration.

On line help centre. I have found AltaMail to be extremely helpful no matter how basic or difficult my question has been. They have always been very willing to continue to look into the issue until it is resolved.

The best business IOS mail app period.. A great app that works well with 365, outlook and gmail. Perfect for multiple accounts, flagging and managing endless email. Unlike most other mobile apps can download all messages for offline viewing including their attachments. Great for plane travel!

Great email app. I have tried a lot of email apps over the years trying to find one as good for my iPad as Mail is on my Mac. At last I have found it. With AltaMail you can creat as many folders as you like and use them just like the mailboxes in Apple’s Mail. Brilliant!

Best ever for emails. I have tried many email apps (I love trying multiple apps) and AltaMail is my favourite. I especially like the ability to delay in sending an email and the sent receipts. The support is excellent and helped me add an email account when I was having an issue with the email server. There are a lot of features offered and it is a lot of fun exploring all the time saving add ons which are included in the app. I am looking forward to future enhancements but for now, this email app has it all. AltaMail for ipad/iPhone. AltaMail is a great email client! When researching email clients which respect user’s privacy and provide security, I stumbled on this app. I’ve been using it on my ipad for almost a year, would not go to anything else. It is my default email client on my new iPhone. Lots of features (LOTS) but more importantly, the app works well with my email provider - no sync issues, notifications come in promptly, unlike other apps I tried. And most importantly, I believe my privacy is being respected wrt. To my emails. Oh yes, fast .. not resource intensive. Well worth the subscription fee (which is minor)

Astonishingly Capable. After spending considerable time with all of the better known email clients for IOS, I can easily say that AltaMail is the most astonishingly capable of the lot. I can manage a dozen accounts with ease, can move and filter and group or view as I please, all without the slightest concern that my account credentials are being held by a third party server. While not the most visually polished, the sheer power of this client combined with fast and responsive tech support make it a great choice for anyone, particularly those who have to manage a high volume of email. Lean and fast, highly configurable and private. As good as it gets in my opinion.

Freezes constantly. Have used this program for years and has been top notch but of late the past few versions continue to freeze. Support helped me through it and it appears problem is solved.

Lots of bells and whistles. This app is overwhelming at first because of all of the bells and whistles , but once you configure it to your liking, it is awesome. And, if you get stuck, they will follow up quickly. And,I have tried all of the email apps to date in the App Store and this one is by far my favorite one.

Its Annoying - It keeps asking me.. Not the program. It is great and useful and I highly recommend it, but this annoying popup asking me to rate it, is a pain.

Provides good insight into problems. Provides visibility into why things don’t work when configuring accounts. Can see the email headers when needed. My background is Unix and this satisfies my desires from that arena.

The best.... Email shouldn’t be as difficult as it sometimes is on iOS. Email client apps should, ideally, all be as reliable and feature-rich as this one!

Great customer support. Had an issue with “reply all”, contacted Support and Melissa was great. Had an answer within 2 hour. Love the app, works with Verizon since Verizon does not support their own email. Great job! Happy customer.

Very good mail app, plenty of features. Im enjoying the app due to all the great features. it is easy to learn and use once you discover its capbilities. I would give it 5 stars but there is no MAC PC version. I use it on 2 Ipads but miss the pc version. Im trying to decide to keep using it, I will hold out for a while hoping to see the Pc version.

Too many issues. Duplicate notifications for the same email, email shows as being received twice, too many emails do not format correctly. Shouldn't have to pay for something that's a work in progress.

A lot to take in. Now that I figured out how to connect to O365 (previous review I complained about the connection issue), I have to learn my way around the app. Lots and lots of bells and whistles. Will update review again after working with the app for a few days.

AltaMail. I’m not sure just yet . Basic app functions are not difficult, but it remains to be seen if the app is missing any critical information or software that has to be installed in the AltaMail app, in the right place and in the proper order and format. The proper path , is that bit of the app missing and if so, where do I get it, the printer manufacturers web site ? Then that piece of information is going to be downloaded, how? I’m too go back to the app and push the proper interface button and unpack it by a double click or does it unpack itself, or does it go into a different directory for the brand of printer for service at a later time or is it just information that is in place and will it just be dormant in the event that I have to go to another printer? I’m sorry, but I am always asked to rate a product as soon as I get it downloaded. I can’t possibly know what the app is going to actually be capable of doing, or if I’m going to be interested in spending an excessive amount of time with the app if it is not a friendly user interface. I wouldn’t have downloaded the apps that were created by your company if I wasn’t interested. I am confident that I will be able to make it work for me and I will be able to make a more efficient working schedule and my time, and that I will be able to organize my information whatever the format is,?with the apps that are provided by your company. I was truly impressed-am impressed by your app’s. I see some redundancy in a few different ones, but they appear to be extremely well designed and I would have been more inclined to believe that they are designed for a desktop computer rather than my iPhone. So far the apps are great. I am running into a little more detailed information that I am learning about , but that is what I was expecting before I purchased these apps. I will update you as I am able to make a more detailed and informed decision as to how I feel about the apps true performance. I’m sorry but I do feel that the average person is going to be confused. Businesses are the target demographic for the applications that are provided by the company? I’m trained in I.T. . I see the amount of work and pride that was used in the apps designers, the time and programming appears to be well done and without equal. Very professional, and a wealth of information and instructions on how to use the apps. Now, I am going to get back to work and hopefully I can get back to you guys with a little more helpful information from a consumers perspective. Keep designing your apps like these impressive gorgeous apps that I purchased . I will say that no one can really go wrong with these. I was surprised with the the the very reasonable prices for entire line provided. Very nice. Yet a little bit overwhelming for the average person, in my opinion.

BEST IN CLASS FOR SPAM. This app allows what Ive been searching for for a VERY LONG TIME. An app that will delete or move emails from a SPECIFIC DOMAIN, not EMAIL ADDRESS. This app allowed me to make an un-useful email account a useful on, bu elliminating 95% of the SPAM coming thru so i get only the emails i need! BRILLIANT. 7 STARS! (if apple allowed that!)

Learning. Getting acquainted with this client. Lots of bells and whistles. Taking it slow. Main feature is watch app. Suggest keyboard rather than having to get phone to respond. Other than, a very solid email app.

Quick response to issues. All app software has issues periodically. AltaMail is quite responsive to resolving them with their customers. In addition, their email app is quite robust with lots of features.

If you need advanced filtering this email app is for you. If you want to automate filtering of email messages into folders on your iPhone, this might be the only or at least one of the few with that power.

With Alta Mail on my tablet I’m freed from my low horsepower laptop. It’s what I’ve long wanted for full Thunderbird-like email functionality on my iPad and iPhone.

AltaMail is great. This app is an add-on to your email IMAP account and has a lot of features. I really like the spam blocking features. You can block the domain and email address.

Love this app. I was having a problem with a lot of emails showing at the top of my inbox with dates in the future. This app does not have that issue!!!

This app is special but. I can't seem to get my head around some of the mechanics. Truly a godsend in terms of features. I just wish there had been fewer cog icons and a little bit more consistent slide interactions. I'll be watching the development of this closely!

Useless. I’ve been using this app for several years now. I bought the lifetime membership. Today, it I’ll decided that I needed to log into another email address that is totally unrelated to the application. It’s not letting me use it at all. And I can’t even get onto request for help. Basically this is trash right now for me.

Latest update - wow!. Opening new emails used to take 8+ seconds. Not anymore! Now it’s lightning fast. Thanks for fixing that issue! I love AltaMail. I can see all my accounts at once, process multiple emails without having to do things on an individual message basis.

Fantastic!. AltaMail packs a punch with all the bells and whistles. With that being said, the only downfall is when I purchased the non Lifetime option, I discovered that the program only runs on the iPad and iPhone, but the lifetime allows you to run it on your Mac, iPad and iPhone.

Happy User. This app isn’t the fastest email app or the easiest to figure out but if you want options and the ability to customize rules to fit your setup it is the best around!!

The Best EMail App period. The filtering and notifications capability of this application, particularly combined with the ease-of-use, has made this email app might go to solution. In fact, I’m so inspired by it (in contrast with Microsoft outlook) that I’ve purchased a MacBook Air just for the abilityTo use and manage my email with this program on a laptop.

Best email app. This is the first Email app that I have found that has support for custom rules and unlimited organization options.

Not reliable- unable to open app after update. We used this app for a couple of years. We had so many technical glitches and disruptions. Theo staff would apologize but could not resolve the issue. This is not a reliable app and should not be used as an email app. We lost emails, suffered delays, etc. and their staff were not capable of resolving the issue. We had to switch to rocket email which is so far a much better alternative.
