Great Brand All Around. I have been working with Alibi for years. They are by far my favorite. The sales team and warranty are great. Mobile app works great. Would recommend.

Problems. If I could give a score of Zero, I would. I have had the Alibi security and the app since September at my summer home in Ohio and it hadn’t been flawless. I’m now in Florida for the winter. I cannot view my security cameras remotely because the App says, “my device is offline.” I had the dealer actually enter my house to check the system while I’m on the phone with him a thousand miles away and he said the cameras are on and working whilst looking at my in-home monitor and I was in Florida, using the app on my phone which said the cameras were offline. The dealer’s response, “Huh, the app must be bad.” The dealer didn’t know what to do and further said, “we’ll have to call tech support.” That was 36 hours ago. The dealer has not initiated any action or resolve. I’d like to junk the Alibi system right now. Totally frustrating.

Alibi. It’s not working

Please remove “3.0” from App Title. I discovered that a recent iOS update adds all app titles to the custom dictionary, and autocorrect then changes “30” to “3.0” like the app’s title. This means if I text someone “I’ll be there in 30 minutes”, it will autocorrect to 3.0 minutes. This is incredibly annoying as you may imagine. Deleting the app instantly solves the problem and doesn’t even require restarting the phone.

Need to record and send a video. Not a stable app. Your previous version allowed you to record and send a text or email of the video. Your latest version, no dice. Really, come on, we should be able to record and send.

New version rocks!!. New version much better then the older one, more features.

iPad version locked to one orientation. I don’t understand why the iPad version has been locked to one orientation. It will only display in landscape and its upside down when using a standard keyboard case, making the app pretty much useless unless you take it out of the case. Please fix this so the app can be used in any orientation, or at least let it use landscape in both directions.

Cameras. This system is so easy and so clear and helpful love it will never be without it!!!!

New App. Since I downloaded this new app, my remote access has been random @ best. Does not work on WIFI or cellular without restarting my phone. Been on the phone several times with no resolution. Any help would be appreciated!!

Horrible. The app does nothing but crash. If you try to view your security cameras the app will crash after two minutes. It’s even worse since I have purchased a new IPhone 14 pro (every 60 seconds). Avoid their system at all cost, unless you want to remain in the dark.

Going back in time. The new version of the app has really gone back in time. The video quality is worse, the single camera view is smaller and you can no longer specify a certain time frame to review. Was a 5 star until the new update.

No more messages.... Made the mistake of hitting the “clear all messages” button in the message list, and now it won’t show messages at all any more. If you don’t watch an alert when it pops up, it’s gone. I’ve gone through ever option I can find, and there doesn’t appear to be a way to undo this. It’s somehow attached to my login as it now affects all devices that I’m logged into.

It doesn’t work right. I have four alibi cameras. One of which is the new door bell camera. The app doesn’t perform correctly when someone is at my door. You have to jump through hoops just to get to the person ringing the bell.

Worked fine till ios 14.1. Keeps losing my systems, whole dvr’s just stop loading until the phone is rebooted.

New Version needs update. Every since the update, when I access remotely there is always a buffer that skips about 10 seconds. I can't use the house wifi sometimes and the my phone hotspot only allows me to see the current and I can't give a specific time to look. It must at midnight. So 😭. It was a great product.

Liked old app. Ever since my I phone up-grade i had to down load this 3.0 app it’s crap - the old app worked real good everything was fine ,now I have to use this business app I’m not a business and its slow now , and always buffering. I called cus service and they care less , must of had management change company going down hill , name was will . Needs fired .

terrible App. I spent over $2000 installing these around my home and it’s the most difficult app to use on your iPhone or iPad, nothing is simple about it and I don’t believe they’ll be in business for long when you can simply plug and play Nest or blink cameras that work much easier.

Best ever. Used many other programs; however, nothing comes close to this software. So many features, so easy to use. If you want a program that will do everything you need, and more, then look no further this is the one.

Some changes. Would like to be able to change from landscape to portrait view, and have easier ability to pan and zoom without having to chance screens

Great App. I’ve used this app with my surveillance customers and it works great. Super easy to set up and operate. Highly recommended !

Missing feature. It would be nice if you could speed up or slow down remote playback. This was a very useful feature on previous app. Other than that, it’s decent but does crash/not work on occasion as others have mentioned.

Updated app released. They improved the app even better. Easy to use!!!!

Upgrade Failure. Since I installed the new app on my cell phone, now my cameras no longer work remotely. I tried to get service and was asked to put in charge card information to get support. The installer has been here here several times and cannot figure out what is wrong. I am ready to remove the entire system.

Update. Please change the interface with the newest update it’s not nearly as good as the previous version. Trying to look at multiple screens at once and scrolling through them takes multiple stops going from landscape to portrait as well as other easy functions now have become longer and not user friendly

Fast forward playback???. For the love of God, give us the option to fast forward through playback! I do not have time to watch the recording in real time!

Does ok. Other than a few glitches time to time app is decent. Only thing it really needs bad is in playback is having fast forward or fast rewind. If it had that feature I would most definitely give it 5 stars. You have to scroll on the timeline until you have to find what you are needing or just have to look it up at the actual hard drive and server.

Works great for remote viewing my cameras. I can see exactly what is happening on my cameras.

Great customer support and product!. Great customer support and product! If you need a camera system, there is no better brand. I have ring and best but Alibi has the best customer support overall.

Camera. The camera are terrible

Worst customer service ever. Don’t waste your time on the app, or the equipment. There are far better options out there.

Not impressed. One of my cameras hasn’t worked since I got the system. He has come out twice to fix it but it still doesn’t work. Now for the last 3 weeks since he’s been here I haven’t received a single notification. I am not impressed at this time unfortunately. All I asked is that they work!

New Interface is Bad. The new interface that was released two weeks ago is garbage. Not as intuitive and fluid as the old one and hard to switch between the cameras you want without a lot of scrolling.

Lacking some basic functionality. The thing I find most frustrating is that you cannot scrub through video. If you drag the cursor on the timeline it will skip to wherever you let go and you don’t see any footage as you do it. You used to at least be able to fast-forward but that doesn’t seem to be an option now which is insane. Who has time to review footage in real time? I was not able to remotely access my cameras for a long time. Finally my genius brother in law unplugged the system and rebooted it. We went through the setup wizard and I had to re-add the device to my phone. Everything is working now, but it was a pain getting the device added to other phones. All-in-all it is not a very user friendly app.

Great camera system. Just got my camera system and love it. Easy to use and great quality. Highly recommend.

Device Authorization banner crashes app. There is a Device Authorization banner at the top of the iPadOS app. Using X to close the banner crashes the application.

5 Star Customer Service. Managing the system can be challenging to a new user but the customer service team makes everything understandable

Disappointed. Had to “upgrade” to Alibi Witness 3.0 and now I am not able to view cameras remotely. Very disappointed in this system now

3 .0. Doesn’t work on my iPad. Still work on my iPhone.

Great but lacking. I love this system but I wish that playback was a little straight forward. It’s important to be able to playback through the app as from the pc sometimes is too frustrating since there’s no keyboard but a mouse to navigate and type with onto a digital keyboard. Needs more improved functions.

Crashes Too Much!. I wish I could love this app but it’s way too glitchy! The app literally crashes every time I go into playback mode… which renders it useless. Please fix this so that we can utilize the app better!!!

Good app. Ever since the update using the cameras got annoying and takes way longer to check them. Still it serves its purpose but I don’t understand why they would make it harder

Nice. I was using iVMS 4500 but it kept freezing up on my iPhone ( with iOS 12) and thought it was my phone issue ,so I was looking for alternative app and found this one ....it’s simple to use and does the job and actually seems to be more responsive than iVMS 4500.... the images and the connection to my camera systems seem to be faster .... if iOS 12 is giving you trouble with your current camera app.... give this one a try.

Verification code. This stupid app keeps asking for a verification code that doesn’t exist

Playback is the worst. The playback is the worst ever. It will NOT play but about 1 or 2 seconds and then it will freeze for about 40 seconds then play another 1 or 2 seconds and freeze again. Throws up various error codes. Saying the request timed out or just “error code”. The other alibi app worked great for a while. Now they say it’s not supported. But this one is terrible. Live stream is only slightly better. If you can get it to work at all. Choppy. Hit or miss. Mostly miss.

This app is always offline. This app is always offline and failed connection. There’s no support service center for help.

Never works. Works when it feels like working

Failed to meet expectations. 1. Not an intuitive app to install 2. If you make a mistake in setting up, difficult to recover 3. Website searches take you to directions for previous version of Witness which appears to be a better version. 4. Direct phone support service techs did not ask if I set App up properly, which might have eliminated my frustration. They were anxious to remote in to my computer to see if the NVR was up. When We were still unable to remotely access the DVR, the tech told me he liked the previous Witness app better-then said my router was too complicated for residential users and said I should get a different router! 5. Cameras work fine within my own network, but I still can't operate them remotely. Alibi system was recommended by my installer. I will share this review with them so there is no doubt about disappointment with this system. 6. The root cause of my not being able to remotely access appears to be the app and a clear process for setting it up right the first time. Secondary cause is the unprofessional live tech support.

I would give it a zero star I could. Spent thousands installing cameras in my home. Issue is not the camera or dvr because on a laptop it works fine. The issue is this app on an iphone. Works when it wants too, which is rarely. Seems that the app has not updated to work with iphone updates as the issues started when IOS 13 came out. No help and never a developer response

No fast forward?. The high speed scrubbing is non-existent. Guess I’ll just watch my recordings in real time...
