WHOE!!. This app is so easy! You literally just hit “Run Pipifier” and the video instantly minimizes to a floating window. It’s so quick, instant! I thought that the link would launch in the app and I’d just have to wait for the video to be streamed in the app, but no. It just seems to grab the video and instantly put it in a window. Wish I knew about this sooner!

This didn’t quite work for me;(. I have a 11 and I tried multiple times it doesn’t work it’s not even letting me have the thing open for 1 min

No... I saw the reviews and had high hopes, but was only to discover that once I run it with the share, it goes back to full screen.

???. I followed all the instructions I was told, but when I got to manage extensions it won’t let me turn it on at all! I don’t won’t to rate it one star because lots of people say it’s good and I trust it, but it just won’t work for me! It’s not even like when I turn it on it doesn’t work, it just won’t let me flip the switch to turn it on at all please help me if you can!

Only Works With Safari Open. Like title says. Best I’ve been able to manage, you can’t actually run the video while switched to another app. Given my assumption (and from comments) that most people would want to use this to run music videos from Youtube in the background without having to pay for Youtube Red / Youtube Premium, this is pretty much useless for that. Seems to only work Safari is the active app, so.. yeah. Not for me.

Great app!. Simple and easy to use! The one problem I have is that if an ad plays during the video the PiP goes black and stops. This is a little annoying but it’s not a hassle to rePiP the video after the ad is over. Overall I love it.

Does not work UPDATE. Actually it does work, be sure to disable screen time

It works. Genuinely super easy to use. This works the best out of many apps I have tried and I Am thankful it is still being updated. Most of all, thanks for keeping it free!

IPhone SE 2020 & iOS 15.1: Doesn't work right now. The app is currently not working with my setup, and this review is not a review of the quality of an app in active development. It's just an indicator that it doesn't work on a supported device.

It doesn’t work. Hello developers, this app does not work for me I go on safari and I select run pipifier and the floating window pops up for a second then goes away!

Works great. Thanks for the response from the dev! I figured that there are actually two “more” buttons in safari... the correct one sits in the last row and is pushed out of screen by other buttons. I have to swipe that row all the way to the right to reveal that button.

Does its job and does it well.. When you activate the extension on a site with a video, it pops it out in a PiP, as if you hit the button in full-screen. Functions as intended.

I hate this app. It used to work but then it stopped and started showing black screens. Uninstalling!

Use it all the time. Love it. I use it to play videos in Safari while using other apps. Websites can’t mess with it as far as I can tell.

Works!!!. Super easy to use …non-intrusive…Choose from two different PIP sizes… Works on YT like premium!!! Finally able to listen to music while navigating around on my phone…. I don’t know who made this but OMG thank you!!!!!!!!

Yes it actually works!!!!. Okay, off top let me say this,” IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM’’. There was a bit of a learning curve, but it works. My suggestion is run safari for videos, put in PIP and then open chrome and run everything else. Use Safari as the base for this app to get your videos in PIP. Once the video is in PIP, swip up and then you can use any app while PIP is running. You’ll be able to use without any problem.

Doesn’t work. After I enable it and then go to Safari and click Share > Run in PIPifier it doesn’t work. Does nothing. No PIP window appears. Maybe I’m using it incorrectly but it seemed straight forward.

Just works. I love all your apps because they Just Work. This is no exception. Just enable the extension and hit PiPifier in the share menu and it makes the video PiP. Please consider making an app for enabling AirPlay on these videos too :)

Does nothing.. I should have looked at recent reviews before buying this. It literally does nothing at all. It doesn’t even show up in the share button. Enjoy your cup of coffee, developer. At least I only wasted money on the small one.

Doesn't work anymore. iPhone 13 Pro. It worked the first day, not anymore. When I press the pip while watching YT on Safari, it drops to the bottom of the page like intended, but only for an instant. Then it pops right back up in the window.

Games overriding sound. Very nice but can you please add a feature when you add a feature when you open another game with sound it will not turn off the music. Thanks

it shouldn't exist, but i'm glad it does. youtube shouldn't have the right to gatekeeper this very basic functionality. i'm glad this app exists. it works. so far.

Does just what it says on the tin. Activate the PiPifier Safari extension, and out pops the video. If you've got an iPad, there's no reason not to install this. It's much cleaner than the javascript bookmarklet hacks I've tried to use in the past.

Currently the cleanest app to run PiP. Honestly this app’s functionality still holds up today with it being relatively old. Clean, nothing extra, no forced ads/payments/tasks it’s all free and takes 10 seconds to get working. 100% recommend.

Good for what it does!. Great app! Just wish there was a way to pin the window to any corner of the screen or really anywhere on ios, just like we can using the CMD key on macOS

Does Not Appear in Manage Extension Menu on 2018 iPad Pro 11”. Does not appear in manage extension menu on 2018 iPad Pro 11”. So no way to enable it in Safari. Works perfectly on iPhone though.

A godsend.. YouTube’s at war with Shortcuts that allow pip, but thankfully there’s this! I’d used this app in the past, but moved to using Shortcuts to watch PIP. Sometime in the past few months YouTube broke them again. So back here I am. Now it works as a safari extension, which is a great improvement (even though muscle memory always takes me to the Share button). Thanks for a great app.

Best solution. At first I thought it does not work because I follow the steps and nothing shows like it said but actually it was hiding below the scrolling down. It works perfectly on Safari unfortunately not on YouTube app but better than nothing. Worth to try .Really recommend

Didn’t work for me!. This extension looks useful to have so you can watch videos in PicturebyPicture like android does. Ok, it didn’t work for me though. I did as it said how to enabled in the browser but it’s not showing there. It disappointed me as I’m anticipated to be. I just gonna uninstall it.

Exactly what I needed. I really wanted to watch YouTube tutorials/listen to music while I was drawing, but I hate how split screen mode on my iPad Pro makes the window of my art program too small. I was recommended this app by a fellow artist friend and it works perfectly! Thanks :)

So simple. Before I knew about this app, I had to watch YouTube in split screen mode. This is so much better. This should be native to iOS, I’m surprised Apple doesn’t have a built-in option to do this. Now I can sit in bed and illustrate while watching YouTube.

Solves the YouTube webpage issue. YouTube overrides the native video controls getting this is how you get pip back

It’s really good. It’s amazing for what I want it for, which is using YouTube for music without premium and I only have one complaint, whenever you activate when you start a new vid and it is loading it freezes safari completely

Until Apple “fixes” YouTube via iOS, you’ll want this.. YouTube is -crazy- to charge a subscription for pop-out (PiP) from the YouTube app during video playback and iPad multitasking.

Just what you are looking for!. I use this app all the time. Fantastic for people looking to play YouTube videos while playing games, internet browsing, or reading. The app also allows you to play YouTube videos with the screen off if you ever find yourself wanting to do that.

Incredibly helpful app. A breath of fresh air.. This app works exactly as expected. It allows me to watch a YouTube video, in the browser, in PiP, while doing other things on my phone (such as typing this review). I am so very glad someone found a way to nullify YouTube’s arbitrary disabling of PiP. I only wish I had found this app sooner.

Never worked. I don't even remember installing this. The PiP feature is built in to YouTube now, this is just a questionable app hoovering up data. Nah. Waste of space. Last update was a year ago!! Get outta here.

AMAZING!!!!! PiP is HERE!!!. This is amazing especially for YouTube where you can only get PiP if you subscribe to YouTube premium. This app is free and works if you go to YouTube.com via safari browser end activating this safari browser extension when watching a video. Now I can use other apps and still watch YouTube videos without missing anything. Yay. Perfect. I highly recommend this app for everyone.

Awesome app. It works just like it says it does. I have a YouTube premium account and so I expected to have the picture in picture feature already. And it doesn’t which makes no sense because youtube said it comes with it. So frustrating. Anyways my suggestion for this app would be if it works with the actual YouTube app also. That would be cool, if there was also some kind of automatic way of detecting a video playing so you don’t have to press run pipifier every time. Thanks 👍🏿
