Amazing. I love free cooking games and this is just what I want and need, I love the sound effects and I also love that you get to freely look around with out having to constantly scroll back and forth I like that is has the option to use the arrows to look around and you can look around by moving your device I love that you get to do whatever you want and really show off your cooking skills and over all great job whoever made this game!

Fun but needs fixes. This game is a lot of fun and really soothing-the visuals and style make it very relaxing to play for a long time. It’s a great concept for a game and I love how much control you actually have on what your cooking and how realistic the cutting is. Definitely needs improvement in regards to some technical aspects as well as some glitches which make it literally unplayable. Whenever I play, sooner or later, one of two things happens: either the food gets stuck and I can’t pick it up anymore, or a customer shows up and doesn’t give me an order and nothing I do works and I can’t progress from there. Every time this happens I have to restart the game and it is so frustrating. Some other things I think could be improved: when you transfer food from a pot or cutting board, it tends to just fall everywhere and it makes plating the food and making it look nice impossible. Overall though, I really love the game when it doesn’t glitch and I can make the orders look nice. I just had an 8 hour plane ride and basically played the game the entire time.

The New Update..... In the beginning I loved this game! I would play it everyday! But when the new update just installed...everything broke. First I didn’t have the right plate/bowl for what they asked for and when I tried to serve what I had, it didn’t respond to it. I restarted the game, and it was still not working. So, I reseted my whole game from the beginning...and nothing was there. I couldn’t fix anything because there was no fridge, no equipment, no..nothing. So I skipped the tutorial and gladly, it put my equipment back. So! Finally I could cook again! But...Every time I try to cut something..it would still stick to the left overs..I would cut lettuce in half and it would go back together like it had never been cut. And that’s where I’m at now. The update did not improve glitches, it made them worse. I can’t cook anymore. Like I said I loved this game, there just needs to be bug fixes.

good game, just a few bugs. alright, let me get this straight. i love chef umami cause it’s fun and honestly a game that i could keep on my phone. however. there’s too much bugs. it says the bug where the blue ice club man won’t eat is fixed. however. i reset the game TWO times and finally got up back to the level. it’s still not fixed. also small bugs like you can’t see the menu, and stuff. please get this fixed!

Almost Perfect. I was surprised by how great the player experience was for the most part. Love the attention to details. When you use the chopping board I could feel each chop. The sounds are spot on. You can even move around your kitchen space by moving your phone. The only reason it lost a star is my irritation towards certain ingredients landing a certain way. The onion always lands standing up instead of laying flat when I plate. My sandwiches never stack. And when I follow directions and get a low score there’s no feedback on why. But the annoyances pale to what the app does well. So I happily give it 4 out of 5 stars and hope the developers can fix those minor annoyances.

Some bugs are still there. So, I absolutely LOVE this game. I play it day, night and it’s a blast. But, there’s just a few things about this game that I really don’t like. Sometimes when I get an order for a burger or just a sandwich or something, it always falls over and I have to redo it. Also, stuff falls through the plate and I can’t see what I am doing to stack it perfectly. Lastly, the level where the ice cube man orders Aloha chicken, he never takes it. I once had to redownload the game and restart the entire game to come to the same exact problem. I have done the order repeatedly and he still hasn’t taken it. I really want to play the other levels, but it’s just hard to when he won’t take his food. I really love this game just know that there’s a couple things that I would like to be fixed in order to play it. Please read this and fix these bugs!

Bug fixes needed. This game has a great concept with great potential... but when playing it was an obvious issue that at one point the game stopped functioning correctly. At one point in the game two customers asking for a kind of banana pineapple smoothie and a bagel with Swiss cheese... after finishing the production of the food I tried picking up the tray but it wouldn’t work. At one point I made the food and I picked up the tray... it worked but then when placing the tray In front of the customers and waiting nothing happened. After multiple tries I gave up. This issue should be fixed immediately since I can not keep playing the game unless it is fixed...

Needs a big change.. Well I just downloaded the app because I was thinking oh, I can deal with a few bugs, as I am someone who plays computer games a lot and experiences them all the time. Well, my food went through the plate during the tutorial and I had to make the sandwich incorrectly in order to serve it. Also, it didn’t tell me how to grill things, which wasn’t a huge problem at all but it would’ve been nice. I’m not going to delete it because I do like it, but it’d be nice if you could fix the food issue that’d be fantastic. It’d be easier to play.

Bugs. This is a really fun cute game and I mostly enjoy it. However there are some bothersome aspects. There is a good variety of different recipes but it does get pretty repeatable if you play for a while and I feel like some of the ingredients never get used. Also there are some recipes that I swear I’m making perfectly but it’ll always score a one star. Lastly whenever I reach 167 stars, the character doesn’t eat the food and it doesn’t progress, it has happened to me two times now I’ve had to delete and redownload the game. I wish the food sensitivity was a lot lower too, the sandwiches always fall apart.

Good?. This is game is very good, but I feel that there was a main thing that stuck out to me, it kinda just throws you into the game, you only get taught how to cook one thing then you’re on your own, I didn’t understand how to make soup or whatever in the game when the devil girl got introduced. It’s a good game don’t get me wrong. But there should be a cook book option to see how the order is made fully. I don’t mean the order card, because the order card isn’t a big help with the soups. Overall good game though :)

This is an amazing game, although quite bug-ridden.. I love playing this game. The sound effects are satisfying, and the mechanics of the game are somewhat smooth. Some bugs I’ve noticed is food falling off the plate (when surfer girl and her friend, the ice cube, order their Swiss cheese breakfast bagels and pineapple/banana juice, I pick up the tray of finished food and the bagels just slide off and I have to restart). Another thing is for most orders, usually something I have to stack, like sandwiches, the food falls right through the plate to where I can’t see it, or falls through another food item under it, whenever I try to place it. It gets annoying because I like to be able to see what I’m serving, because I can’t tell if I have the order right or not. Also, a lot of times when I’m pouring chopped food into either a skillet or wok or plate or cutting board, bits and pieces will roll off and onto the floor! I’d like there to be a fix for this, which will hopefully make the game run a lot smoother. Also, little red demon girl seems very difficult to satisfy! I can never get more than three stars with her... it may be that the order ticket isn’t very specific, but I’d like to know how to get five stars for her orders. Altogether though, this game is very cute, and is great to play when passing time away!

Amazing Game but needs improvement. I have waited so long for a cooking game like this. I love the freedom you can have doing your own thing around the kitchen. This game is relatively new so I thought I could share the bugs i have when I play or things to improve. First off, I don’t like that once I get up to 40-60 stars my recipes advance but when I close out of the app it’s back to 0 again and I am stuck making the basics. Also, when you tap on the stars sheet it randomly disappears behind the customers. Also, if you cut too many pieces of let’s say onion, it gets laggy. Like I said before when I close out of the app I lose my stars, but I was forced to do that sometimes when I tapped on food items and they wouldn’t let me hold it but they just kept spawning in the same spot. It’s also sometimes hard to rotate food and I hope that one day your stars could be used for some type of currency in a catalog or something to buy new food, designable items around your restaurant, equipment, ect. Overall I love the concept and hope for less bugs and more customers and improvements especially since the game isn’t free. But great job so far!

Some issue but really fun. I love playing this game I’m sad they aren’t making any updates…If you want to play just know that there are some issues. Issues with the food rating system. In my experience customers rate my food either 5 stars or one star and I have no idea what I did wrong. There is one customer that keeps ordering the same thing- a stew. I can never get her order right and she always gives one star. I have no idea how to make stews and soups and get 5 stars. I was really sad to find that once you play a certain amount the game glitches and you cannot progress further. There’s a little blue guy customer and after he eats his food he does not rate it and just stares at you frozen. The game does not refresh and you don’t get any new customers, just stare at him back.

This a great game, but still needs a little work :). I like this game so far it’s very aesthetic pleasing and is a great time passer. I like how there is a variety of recipes and cute customers. but there is a few things I would like to suggest like more specific recipes and making the meats more realistic when cooking it or seeing if it’s done. I can’t really tell if the meats are done if it’s gray maybe try making it more realistic where it’s the color of actual meat instead? Like grill marks etc.. Also when pouring the food onto the plate it scatters everywhere and sometimes disappears maybe try making it where it only goes on the plate or in the bowl. I know this game is going to get popular as you update more! I think it’s a great game it just needs a little more work.

it’s nice. the game over all is very aesthetically pleasing and the voices are adorable but for 2.99 i would have liked a lot more for example the camera angles are kind of awkward and you can’t really position the knife the way you want to when cutting the food. Another thing is when trying to cook food in the pots when you mix them all the food slowly falls out sometimes when i give the person the meal nothing happens and they just sit there, there are more things too but i won’t go into all of them. it’s a amazing game in the works but there need to be MAJOR updates to it to make it perfect! :^) ❤️💖

Fun, but needs more. Love this game a lot! The graphics are good and the cartoon style is cute. I like how you can really interact with objects and it feels like you are really there cooking. The only things I would suggest to make the game better, as other reviewers may have mentioned, would be to add more customers and recipes. They get sort of old after a while. Perhaps also maybe an in-game shop where you can upgrade your cooking silverware, buy decorations, etc.? Overall, a great game.

Little lag. Although the game is good and overall comforting there’s sometimes a glitch me and my friend see on the app. Every time we open the app and come to a specific stage where we cook the food that the customer asks for but when we serve it the customer doesn’t leave and it’s frozen in place. Me and my friend saw this glitch and we are truly tired of seeing this and having to restart our progress, phone, and app please fix this glitch

Good but there’s a problem. This game is absolutely adorable and I love how you can cook your customers food and there are so many things you can do. But, I’m finding a problem in this game. Whenever a customer wants a stew or ones with the sauce, I can’t fill up the pot with sauce or even water. It adds droplets of sauce but it won’t fill up. And it only happens to that one pan, the rest works completely fine. If only that was fixed then I would get 5 stars for the devil girl. Other than that beautiful game.

u wish u were me. Okay so the game is really good but then after like 200 stars or so the blue blob man that orders chicken glitches and won’t eat or rate the food, and this happened before so i thought maybe i need to refresh my phone but when i did the game started all over again from the beginning. It happening again and its really frustrating.

Cute game!. Chef umami is a cute, simple game for a long car ride or if your just bored. The graphics in this game are simple and high quality. It is a amazing experience to be a chef making food for these cute simple characters. Since it’s family friendly, its good for every age and its easy to navigate interface. Since after every order I get one after 5 seconds of my previous customer, it keeps me entertained and not want to deinstall forever! The food and cooking tools are cute and simple and so easy to use. There are a variety of features in this simple chef game. I would say this game would be for intermediate level cooking players. The cute simple characters added to this game supports the purpose of the game as a small business chef, serving characters on the beach and other places too. But I do experience some lags and other stuff, but other than that the gameplay plays smoothly (iPhone 7). I would love if the developer created more characters, which I would adore if they were the same drawing styles as the ones that are currently in the game. This game is so addictive and enjoyable I can’t stop playing it, I seriously needed to put a screen time on my phone from how much I played this cute, simple game! This is a great game I would give it 5 stars!

Love, love this game! but, there’s a LOT of glitching. I really do enjoy playing this game. I especially love that there’s no time limit while i’m making orders, cause some of these recipes are complex and i need all the time i can get! The only downside is that this game does glitch a lot, from minor things like food gets stuck between the cutting board and the knife, to not so minor - i cant finish the game because the “ice man” refuses to eat the food i serve him. Not because it’s bland, but because of the glitching :’)… poor ice man, i know he’s hungry

I love this game but there is a slight issue. I love this game, but there’s a certain level with the blue boy by himself where he want me to make him an Aloha chicken I make it, but when I finish it and give it to him he don’t eat it it’s like he pick it up but he’s not actually in his hand and he eat the air and he likes laggy out and I don’t take me to the next level with the next person I tried to restart the levels and but that still didn’t work.

Fun concept but too many glitches. This game has a lot of potential and is relatively fun but there are just some problems that can’t be overlooked. First, when I try to plate my food, half of what I had chopped simply spills off the plate so the presentation always ends up looking messy and unappealing. This spilling also occurs when I empty all the cutting board’s contents onto either the grill or frying pan. Also, there are occasional bugs when I can only cut the left half of the onion, for example, or can only cut certain parts of a food. The customers always ask for the same orders which becomes pretty boring to make after a while, some variation would enhance the game quite a bit. Also, some customers, regardless of what I make, always give the same rating, either one star or five. I would like to see them base their rating off of what I actually make rather than a pre-set review. I would also like to see more sauces and spices even and have the sauces and spices affect the shape and more so the color of the food. For example, maybe garlic powder turns the food whiter or boiling off the water in a food shrinks it. Good concept for a game, but there needs to be some bug fixes and more variation.

Weird glitches .-.. So l actaully really LOVE, this game but there’s a few bugs here and there. Like one of them is that when I serve that little blue guy the whole game gets stuck and I can’t even pick up plates, but I still can move my screen around. It’s really weird. And the other two are that, I sometimes can’t pick up things. Like when I go get the soy sauce for the scad fish I can’t pick it up, also the other one is that. When I place a burger bun in the egg plate the buns always fall through. But other then that THE GAME IS AMAZING KEEP THANK YOU!!

Cute and Entertaining. I was on the fence about buying this game. My limit for an app cost is normally $0.99, but this game was worth it. For anyone who enjoys playing with food, this is a must-have. There are currently 6 characters that will order food from you, but not every character is limited to ordering just one dish; so in all, there are around 12 dishes that you are able to cook. An update has currently fixed all the game-breaking bugs. The developers listen to their fan base, which I applaud.. But there has been some negative feedback on the 360 camera. The game’s camera moves when you move your phone; Some people have problems with this, but I do not. I find it quite amusing. I have not seen another cooking app with this camera feature, and I must say that it makes you feel like you’re really in the kitchen, and not just clicking and dragging a 2D sandwich on a plate. Five stars. I recommend this game to anyone who loves to play and cook food.

Love. I love this game! The update has improved sooo much and made the game even more enjoyable. I really hope that the next update gives better instructions on how to make some things. Also it would be great if there was a larger variety of orders and more ingredients. When more order to fill are added and more ingredients this will honestly be the best game I have ever played.

I like it now.... The app had updated again and now there is more improvements! It was nice playing the game without so many glitches that are now fixed! But whenever the potato character and their child is grown up and I have to serve them, they won’t give me their order (this happened before and after the update). I really like this game and now that more bugs and glitches are fixed, it is better! I enjoy the game and it is fun to make the recipes!

I really liked this game but there’s a lot of flaws. So I’ve been playing this game off and on for a while but I always run into a problem and delete it this time I made the same dish 20 times and the guy wouldn’t eat it I could lent swipe out of the app or anything I was just stuck. I also wish there was some instructions for the food like maybe we could flip through the cook book and find instructions I find my self looking at picture and not knowing how to make it. Please take the things I’m saying to consideration and fix the game 🙏

I AM IN LOVE WITH THE GAME BUT. I LOVE THE GAME but can you add a feature where when you move your device the game screen won’t move because it’s pretty distracting. I know you can drag the screen to move your screen but it would be better if you had a option to remove it when you move your device and the in-game screen moves with it, thanks for making this game!

W game.. I like this game and I now understand why people gave it somewhat bad reviews, but I could care less. I never played something like this before. I could do something rather than just sit or Lay doing some taping stuff. I really like this and I’m not sure if the creator is working on this alone or with a group. If it’s with a group they could be learning how to do this and I do find this complicated on how they made the turns and other coding. Good game in my opinion.

It’s fun!. It’s fun, there are glitches time to time so I have to close out and stuff. I wish there were more cooking options! Also... how do you scramble the eggs lol? That’s not a huge deal but it’s come to the point where I see the customer and I know what to make because almost everyone gets the same thing! I just wish there were more options. Then it would be great! Just needs some updates and bug fixes. Update on the update**: LOVE that the developers really listened to us and fixed most of the problems! Definitely 5 Stars now! Wishing the next update will come with more recipes/orders and maybe more customers!!

Wonderful games with a few flaws. This game is an awesome game it’s really cute keeps my interest but sometimes I can’t pick up the tickets so I have to close out the app and open it back up and it gets annoying and the devil girl ordered it to be cooked in a certain bowl and I couldn’t move it from where it was or put anything in it but it’s a good concept and great game other than the few flaws

Review. i actually really enjoyed the game A LOTTT. It’s fun and entertaining, i also really love the characters! But It would be nice to have a small guide on new recipes because every time i get the stew i do it wrong! :( Only problem i had was that it freezes and it’s really sad since i really enjoy the game. I got to a point with the small blue character and whenever i finish making his food and about to get a rating he just completely freezes. I can move things around and all but the game won’t continue. I already tried closing and opening the app but the same things keeps happening!

I love this game!. The one thing I have always wanted in a cooking game is for it to be timer free. I get so much anxiety with the games where so many people show up and you have like 45 seconds to make their food. This game you can be so relaxed about making the food so it’s just right, the characters are adorable and I just love the 3d vr effect it’s so much fun. I wish the colliders worked a bit better as the food loves to explode out of the bowl! But I find it entertaining and it’ll the customer usually doesn’t care too much what it looks like as long as it’s cooked right. There are also some recipes I’m not sure how to much correctly, a hint would be nice. Either way this game is free and ad free. It’s my new favorite and I’ve been playing it for 2 days straight. Wonderful relaxing cozy vibes, like I said I just wish the colliders and the recipes were tweaked. Even if they aren’t I’ll still love it and play it.

This game is really good, some bugs. Some minor bugs I’ve noticed is food glitching through the plate, the food not transferring directly to where you want it to go, but there’s one major bug that I can’t deal with: I’m on the one with surfer girl and her friend and every single time I finish and put the plate in front of her, nothing happens. I’m just stuck there and she’s still waiting even though I’ve finished. I physically can’t play on until this is fixed, I hope you see this

Nice Idea.. Usually I don’t like paying for games unless I’ve played them before on a different platform and know about it (Papa Louie Games, Diner Dash, etc). The game is fairly new and clearly needs a lot of improvement. However, the design and idea is supreme. I like the way how I’m able to cook the food using different tools and ingredients. I like the layout and imaging. What could improve is better quality of placing foods on top/with each other. When building sandwiches, it’s hard to place the different toppings on top of each other. It would be nice for our data to be saved when closing the app, because right now if we close it, it starts us over from the beginning. And the recipes should be shuffled and not in order so that I will be surprised at what the next customer wants instead of knowing since it’s in order. Also, more recipes and customers would be grand. The grading for the food is off a bit, and if the customers could order both food and drinks at the same time. That would be even better! I can see how this game will have a nice feature. As long as the designer is listening and making improvements, gameplay will be so much better! Overall, as of right now, I am grading 4 stars.

I love this game!!!!!. Anybody who says this game is worth less than 5 stars is wrong. I love how calm and easy going this game is. I like how you can choose to keep the camera turning on or off. I love the cute customers, all the things they order, and I love how much freedom you have in the kitchen. I can never figure out how to make the stew though.

super cute but super buggy. this is a super cute game and I love the concept! it’s very fun to play and learn to make your own food and learn how to use all the different items but the main problem that I’ve had was the game bugging out and it has become a major polem now because I am stuck with a customer and anytime I try to serve them food it just glitches out and doesn’t let me play anymore and it’s been this way for three days

Good concept, failed execution.. This is a cute game, and i acknowledge this is probably geared towards children, however if I’m having trouble no doubt kids are. The concept is fun, however there are many flaws. When I first picked up the game I noticed there was 360 viewing, but also the ability to swipe. There should be settings where you can choose one or the other, because it will bring instability when using both at the same time. As I thought, it was hard to move the screen and keep it still. The sensitivity levels for the device movement are too high, I don’t know much about app development, but I’m sure it can be fixed so either it can minimally move up and down, or give the option to choose swiping over physically moving. I’m sure a kid with an iPad would have more trouble than me keeping it stable. Maybe this is a user error, however it is so incredibly difficult to interact with items (i.e bread instantly after the introductory customer) anytime I tried to grab something, it wouldn’t move to where I wanted it. If I clicked it, it spawned, however I couldn’t move it after that point. This is probably my longest review for 2 major faults, it’s probably because I whole heartily believe this game could have better playability.

LOVE THIS GAME! but lots of bug.. So when i was playing this game properly i gave the customer his order he ate it then he didn’t rate me anything i tried giving him his food back it does not work. i was very confused, i refresh “chef umami” it still didn’t work. How to play? turn off your lock on settings swipe down on the top right corner then turn off the lock with arrow on it. if your tired of moving your ipad,phone then swipe it to left or right.

Love love love this game!!. Okay first of all, yes there is still people playing this game up to this day! I barley found it and I am so glad I did, it’s the perfect game for me. It’s so cute and not repetitive and even the actions of the characters make you smile and laugh. There’s so much to cook and you can do your own thing, no timer no specific order just add all the ingredients the customer wants. There’s a small tutorial for your first order which I love it doesn’t constantly tell you to do this and that. I like never leave reviews on apps but I totally had to leave a review here! Now I left 4 stars because there is very small bugs here and there and a suggestion is adding a small guide to know when something is perfectly grilled or cooked or yknow. Also when you freeze the camera to not move around it bugs a little like not being able to pick up things, don’t know if it’s just me, but it’s easily fixed by exiting the game and going back in. Well I think this is all I had to say. Love love love, ty for such an amazing game!! Keep up the good work!! ❤️❤️

Mixed feelings. I have to say, I love this game. The controls are surprisingly good and I enjoy the concept, although there are some issues. There are many glitches, such as the food just straight up rolling away and disappearing. It also really bothers me that the same few people come in and order the same recipes every time. If the glitches are fixed and more variety added, it would be an amazing game.

The bugs!!!. This game is great, it makes you kinda feel as if you’re in vr. But there are some things that bug me. First when you’re done cooking something for example, chicken breast it turns purple? Second sometimes when i’m trying to plate the food, the food just falls thru the plate. Third most of the times if the grill is filled with too much food it falls behind the grill which makes it impossible to get the food back because you can reach the back of the grill. Fourth you can’t dump what’s in the blender into the trash can, i remember i accidentally blended a steak and whenever i tried to dump it out it wouldn’t work. Overall the game is pretty good but these bugs just need to be corrected.

Great game, but a lot of lag!. This is a very fun game. I give it five stars for entertainment and graphics. However, if you dice things too finely (resulting in too many pieces) the game lags and sometimes even closes out. Also, I’ve been stuck on the same level for the past two weeks! I make the food, give it to him (the blue kid with the cube head) and it looks like he eats it but he ends up freezing. I’ve tried restating my phone and even feeding him the wrong food, but nothing works. He’s just stuck there, mouth open, arms in the air.

FIX ASAP. Hi I love the game and everything about it but please make it so the customers always have random orders not in a certain order.. I got to almost 16 orders which is 80 stars up and the character tried to give an order which wad not visible, tried to make them random food but they didnt touch it.. Made me mad to have to restart and do the same orders over again. Also, there should be a free mode. Where the customer is like “I want something that has this..” and the rest of the order is up to the chef or something like that. Otherwise the game concept is cute but please make things more easily to place in fashionable order like the food always slipping everywhere, or the food you make looks awful when putting it on a platter etc

Great game, but be aware of this.. The game is awesome overall, and yeah. It does deserve five stars, I’ve been playing for a while now and it’s addicting most of the time, haha! But, there is one character that always glitches after I give it, its food. It’s the little blue child with the yellow floated that yells, “Hungry!” I give him/her food, and then it does a drinking animation instead of an eating animation which is sort of odd. Then it freezes there with it’s mouth open and hands up. This needs to be fixed, when I reopen the app it’s still not fixed. And I keep getting the same glitch and customer over again, haha. Hope it gets fixed soon :)

I just have a few suggestions. I really love this game. I personally think it deserves 5 stars. But I do have a few suggestions for what to add to this game Modes: I think it would be really cool if this game had different modes that you can choose from. One would be “classic” which is what the game is now. There could be “free play” which is a mode where you can make anything at all and there are no ratings. There could also be “crazy” where there are a ton of people that come to you at a time and you have to serve them quickly. Kitchens: What I also think would be really cool is if this game had different kitchens you could go to. Like a sandwich or seafood kitchen. There could also be a kitchen that serves absolutely anything. Meals: I know this game has very creative and well thought out, but I just think there aren’t enough and should be more. Again, I really love this game and it deserves 5 stars. :)

Wish there was more. Honestly it’s a lovely game, it’s fun and the art style is amazing. I only really found a couple of problems. For one, there’s a couple of glitches (for example it won’t let me serve the food, or ingredients randomly disappear) and it drives me to have to close and re open the app a lot. Another thing is it gets really repetitive after a while. It’s the same 6 or 7 dishes every time and after a while it gets boring. It’s really tragic because honestly this game has so much potential, there’s still so many ingredients not being used. I’m hoping with a new update there will be more things to do and more bug fixes.

Great but a few problems still. It’s awesome that we can scramble eggs now but a few problems still remain. I don’t really mind the AR aspect of this game but it would be nice if we could turn it off in an options screen. Some dishes aren’t very specific on what you need to do, and I always end up getting a low score on them (Kung hot chicken and Fishstorm) it would be nice to have a more in depth cookbook screen, or a help button. Other than that this game is extremely well made and designed, keep up the great work!

Absolutely a great game, but still in the works.. I was instantly enticed by this game and for good reason. This game is absolutely adorable and sort of addicting. It does have some problems but there things that overtime will be fixed and I’m okay with that. Overall this game is really adorable and is using a mechanic that hasn’t been seen in other games like this Critique and recommending✨ For a recommendation I would really like to see more randomized and altogether more requests for things to cook because overtime it becomes repetitive and a little bland when you only cook the same things. I also find the controls to be a little wonky some times and when dumping the food into a different dish the contents sometimes disappear out of reach. This is a fun thing at times having the items have a realistic feel but can be really tedious. I also can get a bit frustrated when plating, most of the time the food is unbalanced and doesn’t look very appealing. Just for a thought it would be really nice if there was a sort of menu option. Like for instance you can make your own menus? Or have a way to just cook random things without people recommending things? I think that would add a lot of more parts to the game.

Good game but bad bugs. This game is an extremely fun game to play. It’s really addicting and satisfying. But when I was doing the customer’s order and handed it to them, they drank instead of eating and the food was still there. Then, they would freeze and I wouldn’t be able to continue on with other orders. The same customer would just freeze there and I have tried twice to exit the game and come back but it’s the same customer and same results. Please fix this bug!

Chef Umami. I think the game is really cute and satisfying, although i wish there was an option where the customers could say like; “Make me something mind-blowing!” And then you could make your own dish instead of following an order. I also hope for a recipe of how to make the customer’s food to decrease the risk of getting lower stars. It does freeze sometimes which is annoying but overall its a great game! Thanks!

Good game but bad bugs. I love this game but there needs to be more recipes also there is this bug where I give the customer their food and then they don’t eat it then they freeze also when I give the food to the demon girl she gives me a 1 or 2 rating when I gave her the food she wanted. Good game, needs a few things though.. I love Chef Umami, yet the game still needs bugs to be fixed and more recipes. For example, there is a bug where you give food to a customer and the customer will freeze and not move. You can still interact with things, just not the customer and then it forces you to restart. The game also needs more recipes added to it, because it just gets boring after a while. Also, when I do the devil lady’s order, she always gives me 2 or 1 star(s) because I apparently ‘didn’t do her order right’ when I did do it. It’s honestly just confusing, great game and idea though! Super adorable, loving this game!!

I can't see anything.... The whole concept of the game looks really fun so I bought the game and when I started playing I couldn't see any of the food, it was just shadows. It's not worth the download and the money if you can't see what your doing.

Not worth the money. To the creators, there are so many bugs with this game I don't know where to start, for instance I can not see the food customers or anything else because it appears as grey shadows. Good but gets old. The animation and concept are super cute. The orders are fun but after so many they repeat. Also I find that there are like 2-3 orders that no matter what I do the customer gives me one star, and there’s no explanation on how to do it. Overall it’s a cute and fun game but it gets old after a few plays. It would be great if you had the option of a more in depth recipe. As well as maybe a free play option? Where you could cook whatever you want and serve it to them.

Potential. This game is enjoyable and it relieves my anxiety. There are certain orders where you add liquid in the pot but I always get 1 star for some reason. There’s also a glitch where ice cube cannot eat the food I give him, then the game freezes. I try logging out then logging back in the game but ice cube boy still freezes whenever I give him food. Fun but needs improvement. It’s a fun little game, not worth what’s its priced at though. Settings need to be added so you can turn off the music, also MORE! RECIPES! WE NEED MORE RECIPES!! This game gets soooooo boring after you’ve gone through the recipes. I’ve just resorted to doing what I want and poisoning my customers. Also it should have it so you can be able to collect the stars you gain so you can to level and get more ingredients and tools and stuff.

Love it. I love the game and all but Id like to recommend some things. Well first, Id love to see the game have more costumers and way more recipes to make. There is a little bug for me when I try making the Triple Treat though. When I put the bun on the serving plate, It goes through the plate or it just goes sideways. Game could be better. The games very fun to play, however I think there should be more recipes, (haven’t even used all the ingredients) and I think it should always be random instead of having to do the same 7 recipes when you start. I find the game always glitches, (or maybe I complete it?), when the 2 men come up the the counter. (The younger and older Chinese looking ones, when he calls over the other guy) It looks like the guy on the right tries handing me a recipe however I can’t see it or take it from him. Then I get annoyed and have to start over again, and do the same recipes. Maybe there should be something so you can save your progress, instead of having to start from the beginning every time you start the app again.

Game error. My food doesn’t turn brown or have grill marks appear on it, instead it just slowly turns into a darker and darker shade of black until its just fully black. I literally cant tell when it’s cooked. If this gets fixed then the game is a solid 4.5/5.

it’s alright. It sometimes freezes or things get stuck in my hands and I can’t switch out the pans with the ones on the shelf and there is limited things you can actually do. This game reminds me of toca boca kitchen but for adults. ALSO how the hell do you make scrambled eggs? You can’t really mix anything in this game and you can’t pour from the mixer into the pan so why do those stupid birds ask for it. I’d love to see more mixing features like a whisk or something, and maybe an oven. It would be so cool if you could make a cake.

I love this game but. I absolutely adore this game, but for some reason I am stuck on this one character, and every time I re make their order it shows them eating it but afterwards they just sit there with the food still on the plate, and no matter how many times I try to exit the game and re join its still the same.

Eh. I agree with most people like I only played this game for what a few days and there’s only like 7 costumers and they all order the same thing which is super boring. Another thing is when your cooking half of the food falls out of the chopping board and onto the counter which is super annoying and the customers all rate the same thing so I think they should have a lot more customers and recipes

Glitches. Lovely game but the AR and 360 camera are a bit hard to control. Also there are a ton of glitches in the game from being able to put the serving tray through the shelf and not being able to get it back to when the little baby grows up with his old dad and freezes the game (they don’t order anything either)

Another idea. Dough is need, the same with cookie cutters or something because you have a rolling pin and nothing for it to roll and I have to say it would be pretty sweet if we could bake or even add new people and new recipes because I’m getting the same ones’ over and over again Thank you and please put my suggestions into consideration!!

Needs more variety and too many glitches. The customers always order the same things and it seems to be set in the same order so you always get stuck doing the exact same thing which gets very boring. There are also a lot of glitches and bugs in the app like not being able to cut food all the time and food ending up in random places when trying to dump it onto a plate or pan.

Waste of money, should have been free. It has a lot of bugs that needs to be fixed. The food is still going through the plate, the meat doesn’t even cook for some odd reason, and when I try the season it I can’t even see that it’s on it, and when you try to use the bowl and put things on the stove or in the blender it just goes every where. The game could be great, honestly it’s not that bad but if your going to spend money on a game you should expect it to be better

Amazing game. I’ve never seen a game that makes me really happy like this one!! It moves the screen when I move my phone making me feel like I’m in my own tree restraunt serving guests. Blue Kid Glitch. I really like this game and I don’t want to have to delete it, but every time I open the app its the same. A blue little kid that says hungry will order aloha chicken. I will cook it and give it to him and he’ll do a drinking animation and just sit there and not rate anything. He doesn’t even have a drink so I’m really confused. Please fix this soon. :) ❤️

Fun but needs work. This game all around is a cute and fairly excuted idea. Not sure if they will continue to make updates to this game but I truly hope so. I can not figure out how to switch pans. It even describes this game as needing to choose the right pan for stew but I can swap it out with the frying pan. This is leading to me not be able to make stew and other soups properly. Please fix this or inform us how to properly make this without needing the specific pan/pot for it.

It’s fun and all but the lags are torcher. When I was playing I got far into the game and than a lag came and crashed my game and when I re- entered, I had to start at the beginning. I know it’s not my phone because my phone is an iPhone 7. You should fix this, make things better add a menu where you can save your game.

Pretty good. So far, I love this game. It’s pretty great, but there’s some bugs. I run this on my iPhone se gen 2, and there’s a bug where once I complete one order I can’t pick anything up. It’s also really hard to turn while holding the knife, it just like cuts the air. But this game idea is great! I love it so far as well :D

Game restart fix ?. I would really appreciate if the game would not restart when I close the app. I’d love to be able to pick up where I left off instead of sending me to the beginning. Also, I cannot pass the level with the guy and the old guy. He holds his hand out but there is no menu to take from him.

It’s a good game but…. I feel like there aren’t enough characters. I’ve played through the game three times and always end up the the same recipes for each character. It gets old. I wish there was more to do because there is so much more food that you don’t even use.

It could definitely hit the top charts if it was less glitchy. As someone with mild ocd this game can be really annoying. The food doesn’t stay together and it kinda just falls all over the place. I think with more recipes, fewer glitches, and I guess that’s it actually lol, it could be much better.

hmm. Interesting concept but the gameplay is absolutely awful. How can you slice a bagel in half if it can only lay flat on the cutting board and the knife can only go up and down? The animation of placing fruit into the blender looks like you’re throwing it into the background. It’s just not playable. But I assume this game exists to harvest our data. I’d love a game like this that works at all!

i love this game sm :). i saw it on steam ( i think ) originally and i fell in love with it omgg i kept downloading and deleting it off my computer so i could replay the game over and over again, but the only think i would want is more levels and more zones with expansive food themes. other than that, maybe make the standards of the food making a little easier 😭😭 i used to get frustrated that the little people / creatures(???) wouldn’t like my food :( maybe i did it wrong but it was fun still :)

cute but buggy. its really cute and fun but its pretty buggy. most things dont bother me and i can still play but there are just 2 things that are difficult to overlook. the girl in the red dress always gives me 1 star no matter what i do and the instructions on how to make her food are always vague and kinda unclear. and the blue block head beach guy will sometimes bug out and just not eat the food and freezes. i have to restart the game and im currently having this issue now except its not fixing itself. everything else is okay just try and fix the plating mechanic and have it to where food doesnt just fall out the pots and pans and cutting boards and stuff. 👍

Love the game so far. I love this game so far and the idea of it really do wish there was a save button and I was able to chop the food alittle better but mostly cut the bagels and buns in half like real life that would be amazing. I love it, but a few things. This game is great, I live how much interaction you have in it. I sometime have problems with the food falling through the grill and plates. Also having a problem where when I serve a meal it freezes after they eat it and I don't receive any stars and wont go to the next person.

Many problems. It was super fun at first and I was really enjoying it but then I noticed many problems, some very big. When you put stuff on the grill or the plate it just disappears and then a bigger problem I’ve noticed is that the ice cube man that they’ve said that they fixed in the update, pretends to eat the food but doesn’t and I can’t get past that level because he won’t eat the food so I had to delete the app. Very disappointed.

Great game but glitches. I really love this game. It’s calming and nice to play. But they’ve got some glitches that stops the entire game. I’ve had to reinstall twice already because of the same glitch. It’s very disheartening and I haven’t been able to get any new recipes because of it. Bug doesn’t let me continue. It was fun until the ice cube guy wanted “aloha chicken.” I made the dish and gave it to him. He made a eating motion and some sounds then froze and didn’t do anything. great! but…. okay so i installed this game a day-ish ago and i’m addicted! the thing is, sometimes i work about 7-10 minutes for one order and in the end they still give me a one star even though i tried making it as perfect as i could. i would always like some new characters and new recipes. i saw in the description how the last time this game was changed was 4 years ago so i don’t know what happened to the dev or when this game will be updated next. anyways great game overall!

really cute and cool! just a little glitch. the game is really satisfying and has calmed me down well :D i just cant get over that after i served a customer, i can’t actually interact with anything unless i restart my game. nothing too big but a little frustrating.

Love it, but.... I really love this game. The concept is so awesome and nothing I’ve seen before. There is one customer, (specifically the blue square head guy with the Life saver around him) and when I finish his order, the food slides to the side of him, and he picks nothing up, and it freezes. He gives no review, and I can’t move on to the next customer. I’ve tried closing the app, not using the app for a day, and nothing seems to work. Please fix this!

Okay-ish. I really like the idea of this game by cooking and cutting food, making smoothies, etc. However, this game has MANY bugs. For instance, it lags every once and awhile and you have to close the app. Also, when you close the app, it doesn’t save your progress and you have to restart. Lastly, there are no instructions on how to cook/make things. If these bugs were fixed, I would definitely give the app a 5👍

Speechless. Okay I never usually write reviews but I just had to for this game. This game is absolutely adorable. I love the freedom it gives you to cook your food pretty much however you please, and I love the Virtual Reality option. I know this game will be a hit, I am in love.

fun but.... It’s a really fun hame because we have control over what we are serving but i wish that there were more characters and tons of other recipes to follow rather than having the same people and recipes over and over.. I think that it would make the game so much better. I think it starts to get a little boring over time! So hurry and get some more characters and recipes!

Fun but.... This game is really fun and I recommend it to everyone. There was an update today that changed some things but also created a problem. You can no longer cut the loaf bread into more than one slice. Please fix this.

fun but needs some work!. Personally I don’t remember purchasing this app, but it’s quite fun. Although I have to restart it often because something in the game will get stuck and become unusable. I also am tired of making the same dishes over and over again so I wish y’all would add more characters and dishes. I don’t necessarily think this is worth $3 but I enjoy playing it.

Great game! Few bugs to fix tho. So when this app is so cute and adorable but for some reason sometimes when I want to grab the customers orders it won’t let me and I have to delete the game and then get it again. So if you can fix that it would be very thankful thank you!

Good game but.... It’s a really fun game. I think the variety of food and methods of cooking make the game very interesting. It was fun at first but then I realized they’re were less then 10 characters coming to order. It’s not the fact it’s the same person/people ordering, it’s the fact that their orders are always the same. If you always cooked what the costumer wanted, you wouldn’t get a chance to use have the materials provided. I just wish the game had varying requests and challenges.

AMAZING few things. I LOVE this app but I wish they would update it a bit. Firstly, new orders and new food pls!!! I love to cook for the daily customers like the egg birds and stuff but they always order the same thing. I recommend spicing it up with new ingredients and maybe even some more characters, Secondly, even if you have a tutorial I believe there should be some sort of a step by step on how you should cook the meal. I know it may be a lot to ask for but, I often get stuck on terms (I never cook irl) and don’t always know what sort of pan I should use to cook the meal That’s all I can really critique because this is truly an amazing game and I recommend you should play it!

Pretty good. This game is super fun! I’ve been addicted to it ever since I bought it. I usually don’t buy apps but I’m glad I did with this one! The only complaint I have is that there isn’t really a variety of orders. I get a lot of repeat ones so I think it would be really nice if there were a few more.

Cute!. this is the best cooking game i’ve ever played in mobile! It’s exactly what i’ve been looking for because you get to chop the ingredients, cook & season the dishes & you get to try and make the final plate look cute (not that it matters but its so fun trying) I love the whole vibe of the game, it makes me wish i had a VR set for my phone 😭

Starts over. When this game actually worked I loved it but it would often freeze and do crap like that. But it started me over 2 times within about two or 3 days and was just the same thing over and over. But I did like the game.

bug. I think this game is awesome and it was my favorite game but when i got to 257 (points? Or hearts) i served the food to the blue kid and i put it down and then the plate shifted to the right and the kid ate nothing and just froze, but my game didn’t freeze just the kid and now its not letting me do anything.. :/ but besides that this game is the best and if this lag is jist for me or something DOWNLOAD IT!!! It is so detailed and so addictive!
