Pickleball Score Keeper App Reviews

Great app. A few months ago I didn’t find any score apps that worked for the Apple Watch, but now there is this one, and it works great. I’d envisioned an interface where you tap on a quadrant to record points or turnovers, but the swiping method here is much better. Other than more stats just for fun sakes, I’m not sure what could be better. Perhaps a manual edit button to change the score and player position, in case you get off somehow and need more than an undo. Also, perhaps at least allow for a tap and hold to select edit player on the watch, and then select an opposing player and have the crown scroll through the alphabet. This way, instead of A and B for the opposite side, I could change it to Y and W, denoting the yellow shirt and white shirt opponents. Otherwise, I’m not sure I personally would recognize when they go out of position, not remembering who is A and who is B.

Great app. I bought it and was not thinking much about it. Man it has stopped a lot of who’s serving and score arguments. Plus for now it’s a distraction for my opponents. They are trying to figure out what I’m doing instead of playing the game. Swipe takes all of 1 sec.

Game changer. This app is so convenient, so easy to use, and so helpful. I can’t even believe it! I was never the best at keeping track of the score, but with this app, I am amazed at the number of incorrect scores that are called! And now I can quietly and confidently correct the score when needed! Best money I’ve ever spent on an app, period!

Well designed and easy to use. I bought this yesterday and used it this morning. After a very small learning curve it is easy to use with a nice clear display. Only takes under a second to record a rally win or lost so is not at all disruptive to the game. I need reading glasses to read close up , but had no problems with the display on my watch without them. I probably won’t use all the features, but at $3 you have nothing to lose. I did find one small bug that will be easy to fix. On my iPhone (with the default font enlarged) the results list is too squashed to read well

Love the update. The fact that the app now asks you to confirm the game is over makes the app about perfect. Many times I accidentally swiped the wrong way after a rally and ended the game. This new button keeps me from having to edit the game result on my phone and keeping track of the score in my head (which I don’t want to do hence the app).

Love this app. Had it when I started to play and wouldn’t do without it now. I can think about my game and not worry about where we are in the score.

Wonderful App. Bought this app a few weeks ago and have been very happy with the results. I thought keeping score with the Apple Watch might slow down the game. Not so. Very fast and easy to use.

Pickleball Score Keeper rocks!. I’ve used this for a couple of months and it’s great! Not only does it keep track of the score but it also tracks if your on the odd or even side (left or right) as well as your opponents However, one star off due to two shortcomings. 1st is the ability to undo an accidental touch to end the game. A couple of times I have inadvertently scored the final point and the app ends the game. I need to be able to undo that. 2nd is the lack of being able to adjust the spoken score volume with the dial on the side of the watch. Other than that, this has settled many mistaken scores, or confirmed correct scores. Especially when a ball is hit over a fence, or someone stops to chat with other players arrive or are leaving. You often come to “who’s serve is it?” or “what’s the score?” or “am I a 1 or 2?” This app is helpful with all of those. Sept 2024 A long time ago these guys fix the capability of undoing the accidental end of game. Super helpful, still use it every time I play and there’s always some point in the games that this app comes in handy.

Waste of money. Once you start a game you can not cancel it. If it is recording on activity you can not get it to stop. My “game” went for hours which messed up my activity report. Only way to stop was deleting from my watch. Absolutely no directions in the app. In set up if you give permission for access to activity you can not change. No way to change settings. Swipe rarely works so totally useless. All the positive ratings are likely paid. I had it on my watch for 24 hours and have taken it off.

Works!. Works well. Does just as stated. Would like opportunity to track partner unforced errors via watch (swiping, etc.). One question: Since an Apple Watch wont sync with an iPad, how do you get information on iPad? Have to enter manually?

Great idea for app. Great idea and good app. I love it and would want to keep using it. Two things — I wish I could undo when I accidentally make an error and I wish I could undo when I accidentally end a game by giving myself or the other team a point mistakenly. Other than that, it is amazing. Thank you for making it!

Easy scoring. Great for singles and doubles in keeping track of where to serve and scoring. Play with an opponent who has the patience to let you get used to the strokes and allow you to correct if you swipe wrong. It is well worth it for both of you to keep accurate scoring. I’m looking forward to understanding the game more so that I can use error tracking.

Great App. App works well and was designed very well. Very easy to use and easy to correct a score entered incorrectly. My only complaint with the app is the sound. It would be such a better app if you could turn the sound off, in the app, without having to turn all the sounds off on the watch. Kind of annoying hearing the sound after each entry.

Great app for the absence mind. I downloaded this app after using Virtual Score Keeper. This is much more useful and could keep track of scores, server, server side, and announces the running score. Once sync with my iPhone, I can see win and loss score. One function I couldn’t get working was swapping left to right to track unforced errors. I will delete from my Apple Watch and reload hopefully getting a newer version of the app. It is a bit difficult to load because you have to download and install from the watch itself. App download on the iPhone will not transfer app to the watch.

Update fixes biggest complaint. Thank you!. This is an excellent app: well thought out and easy to use. Plus I love you can look back over your year and see your wins and losses. My biggest complaint was if you swiped the wrong way on your last point, giving a team the winning point when they didn’t win, there was no way to go back. You would have to correct it on your phone after the game. That is now fixed in that it asks if you’re sure the game is over. It saved me today. I greatly appreciate the update.

The BEST App for keeping score in Pickleball!. I heard about this app from a friend as I frequently lose track of the score during long rallies and find myself asking “What is the score?” Not anymore! It took a couple of games to pick up the app interaction with my Apple Watch and now I’m always updated with the game score. Another bonus is that this app also synchronizes with the Activity App so my exercise is tracked at the same time as well! Beautiful!

Super easy way to keep score on Apple Watch!!. PB fans: get this now. I just love an app that works perfectly. I was scoring games 60 secs after downloading it. A single swipe on your watch face between points is all you need to track score AND player positions. We play faster without all the score discussions - now if it could only handle line calls too...

Great app. This app is wonderful on the watch. It makes score keeping and service sides easy. The coupled fitness tracking makes this an app you must have if you play Pickleball.

Woooooow!. Today I was just thinking that I would love to have an app to keep track of my progress over time, also keeping A log of all the people I’m playing and how I’m doing against different people. I could not be more impressed with this app at first try! Even the animations on the Apple Watch are subtle, but make for such a professional touch! I love it when an app takes advantage of the swiping gestures in a very natural and intuitive way! Don’t wait. Just buy this app, right now, if you play pickle ball and have an Apple Watch!

Easy to use. I like to track my errors per game and this does it with an easy swipe. It is also interesting to see game duration, and points scored on my serve, etc. I have the sound off and majority of players that see me using it are interested. Two players have complained it throws them off that I swipe my watch each point so I do not use it with them.

PB player FL. I actually bought an Apple Watch so I could use this app. Frustrated over constant scoring arguments. I love it! Only one suggestion: the swipe up and swipe down seems easy enough. However, hands get sweaty sometimes, or I miss a swipe, and it takes a few swipes. I’d much prefer a tap to a swipe. Maybe a tap at the top of the screen for opponents rally win and bottom for me. It may sound like a small adjustment but because it takes a bit longer I’ve been getting comments from opponents as well as teammates for always looking at my watch and/or taking too much time.

Great scoring App. Using this app on my watch has been great to keep track of play. Has definitely cut down on the amount of time spent trying to figure out who is doing what.

Great tool. I have been using the app for a few weeks and like it so far. I am focused on scoring. The thing I am confused on is the error tracking. Am I tracking only my errors or would I put every error?

Great Great idea-buggy. The idea of an pickleball Apple Watch score keeping app is brilliant. I have tried to use it repeatedly on an Apple Watch 3. Sadly, this app is not usable! It is hit or miss with the haptics. It just slows down a game and other players get upset. You can’t really score a game. This could be the pickleball de-facto score keeping device if only the interface would work consistently. Great idea! Really bad execution! People would pay for this app if it really worked. Now using Apple Watch 4. Still a great idea with unusable software. Real piece of junk. I could get hundreds of people to use it if it worked...It does not. Stay away!!!

Great App. Only pickleball app I’ve found that let you keep an accurate score without distracting you from the game. Truly unique.

Use it all the time. Great easy to use app to keep track of my matches on the fly. I use it on my iwatch. Everyone tends to rely on me to keep them up to date while we play.

Excellent Pickleball App. With thirty-four months of use I’m very pleased with this app. Keeping score is very easy. The app is reliable for preventing confusion regarding the score, who is serving, and the position of players. I appreciate the player directory and the ability to review statistics on a daily, monthly, or yearly basis. This app is a must for serious players.

Less confusion!. We all thought we were losing our minds, but relieved to know that keeping score and who is serving in this game is a challenge for even young people. Happy to have this app and really enjoy using it!

Does everything it needs to. The watch controls were a little confusing at first (a better demo/tutorial would be great) but since then it’s been perfect. Use it to keep track of weekly office tournaments we play (the benefits of working in parks and recreation!) and it’s exactly what we needed.

Pickleball Scorer outstanding. I have been using the app for several months and it is great that now I always know the score. It has proven to me what I had previously thought (that nobody keeps score accurately, including me, without this type of aid). The app is very well designed and I highly recommend it. It is the only app I use on my Apple Watch.

Great app, one wish. It’s an awesome app. Very easy to use and helps with scoring AND whose serve it is. The only thing I don’t like is that it records my activity as racquetball instead of Pickleball. Can that be changed?

Great Pickleball app. Initially was going to give this one star because it stopped the current activity then found out it automatically starts and records activity as racket ball. No need to remember to start and stop activity. Also it seemed to get stuck recording my score Once I started swiping from the middle of the screen worked perfectly. Easy to keep score during a match and all kinds of data gets stored including opponents, unforced errors , steps, calories, play time. Essential app for Pickleball player. Update Have dropped one star as still doesn’t support rally scoring. Rally scoring is increasing popular and would be great if this app supported it. No other rally scoring app exists.

Great app!. Love this score keeper. The only reason it did not get a 5 star rating is because I wear hearing aids. The sounds from my iPhone to my hearing aids, that serve as headphones for my music and in ear phone calls, do not work with my hearing aids, because the app keeps score on my Apple Watch.

Pickle ball score keeper. Great app! Once I caught on to swiping directions, it’s excellent. Especially helpful sorting out who’s serving after an interruption to gloat over a point! Definitely glad I got it.

So awesome to have!. I’ve been using this for four months now and I and my teammates love it. Thanks so much to the developer - you’re my hero! Requests: I echo the request for a way to undo the point that ends the game, but I understand that it might be too much work. Also: I play with a group that uses rally scoring if others are rotating in, to get through the game faster. With this, a point is earned with each play regardless of who served. I would love to see this option in the app; as it is I can’t score these games and they aren’t reflected in my stats.

Great App for Keeping Score. Great app to keep scoring and positions straight. I do have to preface most games that I am using the Apple Watch for scoring. Funniest question was, “What are you doing? Checking football scores?” I had one issue with mistakenly ending games, and saw it was an issue with others. The developer fixed this within a couple of weeks. It is the perfect app for keeping score!!

Love the app!. I’ve been using this for several months and find it valuable , it’s funny how keeping the score straight can be a challenge at times and this app helps the match! One enhancement request I see mentioned by others is the undo at end of game . In other words if I give the point to the wrong team and it results in a win, there’s no way to go back. But all in all a great app.

Fast Scorekeeper for Apple Watch!. I’m shocked that this app doesn’t have more great reviews! Half the time, I can’t hear the score being called so I have to keep track of everyone’s scores and serves in my head. Well, that doesnt work well for me so I needed something super-easy and quick to use. I looked at manual wrist counters and dedicated electronic scorekeeping watches but figured that there just HAD to be an existing Apple Watch scorekeeping app. Turns out that there are several and I looked at quite a few. Most were so confusing that I gave up on them immediately. This app just took a couple of minutes of playing around with it to figure out how the watch face swipes affect the scoring but once I got the hang of it, it’s a breeze. Super quick and it doesn't slow down play. Good job and thanks for this handy device. It’s well worth the $4 investment! Keep up the good work!

Great app!!!. After many games where we end up with “what’s the score again? Am I on the right side?” this app is so handy to have to ensure you know exactly what the score is and whether you’re on the right side or not. I wish there was more apps like this for pickleball. I only wish that when playing and you have custom opponents that it would use the assigned image on the watch for the players. Strictly cosmetic. Functionality is great though!

Great Score Keeper. After playing Pickle ball for a couple of years.. I finally have an Apple Watch and the perfect app to keep score. The ability to track the score, 1st and 2nd serve, the position of each player is terrific. Stats about length of play and maximum heart rate are a bonus. Try it!

Watch. How do I pair my watch with the app? It is on my watch, but the app on my IPad keeps asking for me to pair a watch with it.

Doesn’t work. Doesn’t interface with iwatch well. Never could get it to work. Wasted money.

Can’t remember score Now I can!. Great app. It wasn’t easy for me to learn, I’m old. I started using it to score games on YouTube and that made all the difference. The app will even let me fix mistakes I make in scoring. Make sure you can easily use it before you go on the court as opponents get upset if you are constantly fiddling with your watch.

Default game till 11 pt. Like the app but it would be nice instant the option till 11pt. Can be change to. 9 or 15

This is a game changer!. Thank you so much for this App. We were constantly confused about our score and I downloaded this App a few days ago and am hooked. It has an easy, intuitive interface and now we always know the score on our games. ****Great features: >>you can start games directly from the Apple Watch. Just pick doubles or singles, how many points you’re playing to, and if you want to win by 1pt or 2 - so easy to score during the game. Just swipe up (towards your opponent) to score a win for them or swipe down (towards you) to score a win for you. It displays the 3 digit score at all times with a dot by the current server. >>great undo feature. If you swipe the wrong direction, just swipe left to undo the score (multiple undos allowed) *****Features I’d love to see: >>end of game undo. If you swipe the wrong direction at the end of the game and it scores a winning point, the game ends and there’s no undo. Note that if you just keep track of the scores manually you can go back on the phone and edit the game to adjust the final game score. >>player names - this is needed to make game data accurate for all players. When you start a game from the Watch the players are “Me” and A on my side and A and B on the other side. At the end of the game it has tracked who won points but when you look at it on phone you don’t know who on the other team was A or B so you may be mixing up who did what. On another review you mentioned the difficulty of typing names on the watch but no typing is needed. Since the player list is already set up on the phone when you start at game on the watch, you should be able to just tap each player and pick from the list of predefined players. That would help so much.
