BEST MOBILE GAME. Oh my god, where to even begin. This game is amazing. Nowadays, it’s so hard to find mobile games that are actually worth playing. So when I find a game with a genre/concept that I enjoy that actually has detail and effort and isn’t all “OnLy OnE pErCeNt CaN gEt To LeVeL fIvE”, naturally I’m intrigued. I found this game one day in the App Store, In a section titled “Brand New Games We Love.” I clicked on it and started scrolling, found the game, and was immediately in love. Not only is the story cool, but the developers really took the time to bring it to life with the extra details. The characters, the voice acting, the little secrets off to the side. Like, did you know that if a bullet hits one of the parking signs, than it will spin around? It’s a detail that barely matters, but makes the game so much of a work of art. And the characters are cool too. Each has their own weapon and voice, and even has separate opinions on dogs. DOGS. Plus, (and I only realized this once I started writing this review) I haven’t seen a single ad since I opened the game. Point being, this is the greatest game I’ve discovered since Sky Force, possibly even better. So check it out, and make sure to buy the full version. You won’t regret it.

Retroactive Nostalgia Done Right.. Fans both young and old of the retro-future 80s wave of action camp and old fashioned 16 bit gaming flare of the 90’s will be treated to an extensive action-packed adventure that can only be described as “Escape from New York” meets “Blade Runner.” Though I’ve only played the first 3 missions myself, I highly recommend this one just for the sheer vibe and execution alone and it’s well worth the price.

Best mobile action game ever. Most professionally make iPhone game , graphics are great . Uses hardly any battery , can’t say enough good things about this game .

Best 2d retro platform that I’ve played in a while. When it comes down to 2d platform games there’s only but so much you can do but the devs of this game really put a lot of thought into this masterpiece you have to play it in order to know what I’m talking about !! Other devs need to take notes !!

Underrated game. This game is freaking awesome. The animations are awesome and the maps are very interactive. The game is surprisingly challenging on normal mode which I enjoy. I hope to have more maps/stories or game modes in the future!

I like serious atmospheres. I don’t have a console, nor a computer, I only have an iPad and IPhone, the App Store doesn’t have games that I would like to play, most games atmosphere are inspired by cartoons anime that I don’t tend to like, this one is inspired by anime I do like or maybe is just a coincidence because most cyberpunk stories tend to have the same vibe. I really like this game, I thought it was going to be a generic run and gun with most of the focus being on the graphics and gameplay being the developers main focus, but this game has more depth than game like contra or metal slug.

A dream come true. The team that made this clearly understands the cyberpunk sub genre perfectly. I’ve never enjoyed a mobile game as much as I have been enjoying this. I’m in love. 10/10

Best game in App Store. This game is unbelievably awesome! I’m a 90’s kid and this has me in nostalgic mode. If you loved side scrolling shooters, then this is the gem for you. Absolutely Amazing, Needs A Sequel.. This is game is absolutely perfect. Brutal combat, intricate levels, epic plot, and crunchy physics all come together to make this the best game on the App Store. The only this I could possibly ask for is a sequel, (because I have done everything I can achieve at my humble skill level) where the bounty hunter is on the run from the police, gangs, and other hunters, escaping, counterattacking, and eventually avenging Wolfmother.

If you like dead cells. This game is very fun with serval hidden gems and a homage to retro games and culture. Definitely best with a controller but the screen controls work well. Enjoy this one.

Pure Retro vibe. A game full of 80’s retro vibe music, futuristic cyberpunk style thriller. This game is something else. I can’t completely explain it. But I love every bit of it. I’m 30. Born in ‘91. That can explain why I love this game so much. This is the first game I bought in phone with real money. Money worth spent. I’m so happy to find such a game like this. Greatest Game I’ve Downloaded. I will keep this short and sweet, this game is hands down amazing worth every penny and then some! This took me back to my child hood when games were about the experience of the gamer! Awesome job I will be looking for every title release by these guys!

Crazy good. Amazing game. Had to stop as soon as possible to drop a good review. Mechanics are legit. Graphics are legit. This needs to be on the front page of apple games. We need a GTA clone with these graphics.

This game blows me away with the detail and story!. I’ve only finished the first area and holy cow am I having so much fun with the enemy moves and art style. I’ve been looking for a side scroller game that’s been done well for YEARS!! But haven’t come across one as well done as this one , it’s incredible and truly makes me yern for more content.

Nostalgic Gold. I loved this game right off the bat. Took me back to Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis Cyber Punk days. Controls are kind of hard but it makes you want to keep trying. Worth buying!

Best game I played in a while. The gameplay, characters, bosses, visuals, music, dialogues and humor are among the best I’ve seen in a game for a long time. I already finished the game multiple times and keep coming back to play it again. I’m really looking forward to a sequel it’s such a fun game to play.

This is literally a fantastic blend of contra, mega man, elevator action and more classics all in one! EXCELLENT job, hoping and praying for some DLC like new levels, weapons etc.. but man, this game is basically flawless and floods me with so many great memories from the 8 and 16 bit era! Literally amazing. Buying this was probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s crazy how underrated this game is, the bounties and boss fights are awesome, all the gangs all lit. I think this may be my favorite game ever. The ending was cool too. 10/10 game

Absolutely a fun ride.. I’m not one to write a review longer than three words, but this game was great. My only gripe is that it isn’t longer. But that doesn’t mean it deserves any less than 5 stars. It was fun, witty, and very well paced. Buy the full game right off the bat, you won’t be disappointed. It is a good challenge on normal and I definitely will eventually play this again on harder difficulties.

Near perfect!. Hands down, one of the best in its class. It’s got every thing; story, illustration, sound, replay, action, etc., and etc. If it wasn’t for the lack of button customization for controllers, it would be a five star game! Unfortunately, before I’m willing to drop $9+ on a game, I need to be able to choose my controller setup based on my playing preferences to enjoy the most out of my investment.

Retro Rapture. What a great game! Love the incredible attention to detail. Amazing atmosphere. Great references. Wonderful dialogue that occasionally had me cracking up. Like did he just say what I think he said? 😂 Oh and it’s fun to play too. Playing it with an XBOX ONE controller. Works great.

The perfect mobile game!. I don’t often write reviews but this game is too good. Whether you use a controller or the touchscreen, iPad or iPhone, this game is absolute perfection. Ridiculous dialogue, legitimately great music, and excellent mechanics make this an instant classic. The levels are the perfect length to actually be able to finish in a mobile session and the boss fights are extremely fun. I also love the pay model for this one; you can play a couple of levels for free and if you like it you can unlock the whole thing as an in app purchase with no ads or micro transactions. Wonderful! Play this game!

A love letter to retro action games. This is hands down the top game of the year for me. Everything about it oozes 90’s action shooter with the best little Easter eggs hidden throughout the artwork, voice acting and even the background music. The artwork is amazing and to top it off the gameplay is top notch for being easy to grok and not overly complicated. So happy the studio didn’t put micro transactions in this game which usually detracts from the story IMO. I’ve never heard of the studio, but now will be looking forward to the next release. Good job guys!

Worth the money. It’s a high level NES style game. Has mega man/contra style action. Great are sound and visuals. You won’t regret spending the money. Well worth it.

Maybe Change The Icon. Great game, let's just get that out of the way. Plays as good on the phone as it does on all the other consoles (I played on PS4). I would say that maybe the icon should be changed to something a little less ugly, maybe a capital H with a cool background or something. My brother bought it and since the full game is an in app purchase, it won't let me download it. That made me a little upset, but it's a pretty niche problem. If there's a way to download it I can't figure it out.

Too hard and frustrating.. The game quality is very high. Love everything of the game, only except the difficulty. 😞

Suggestion for full game. Add a sandbox mode where you can create your own levels like npcs buldings and backroundsz

Review of Huntdown. Graphics: great! Sound design and music: great. Performance: runs smoothly, BUT it crashed a fair amount. I’ve completed main campaign on normal and I’d say it’s fun for your money. A classically inspired side scroller shooter of the 1980’s. The pixelated graphics and great music are top notch. Gameplay is fun with good variation in weapons. Wish the bounty hunters had a little bit more to them than just a different gun and special ability. Enemies and bosses will keep you engaged and even mad to a point of almost throwing your phone. Unfortunate I had 3 crashes of the game in my total of 5 hours playing which is terrible for a priced game like this. With that you have to restart the entire level again. Overall good buy for the money, but the crashing definitely needs to be dealt with.

Excellence. What a great game. It's obvious lots of care went into this side-scrolling, 80's Sci-Fi shooter. Great aesthetics and pixel graphics. Great music. Where can I get this for pc? Please clue me in. I hope a version or port shows up on PC and elsewhere. I am waiting patiently for your next game Coffee Stain, whoever and wherever you dev's are. Please keep up the really great work!

10/10. Listen, compared to most games on iOS, games like this deserve your money. The devs put out a quality side scrolling shoot em up with incredible gameplay and no micro transactions. The graphics are smooth, the story (if you call it that) is cheesy 80s sci fi, and they even let you play two whole levels free. If iOS games were more like this people wouldn’t have a bad taste for “mobile”

Details matter. I stopped playing mobile games many years ago, but Huntdown changed my mind about them. The game gets everything right. Details, controls, story, replay ability. It is worth the $9 (or maybe even the original $20!) Huntdown has the makings of a cult classic. You should not pass it up.

Best Cyberpunk I’ve played. I love the details, graphics, music and sound effects. They really nailed the genre. Gameplay is clunky on mobile but it’s still worth it.

Awsome game. I’ve had this game for over a year now and every now and then I come back and fall in love again. Only one thing to top it off would be to play co-op online with others. I have played co-op multiplayer on same screen and it is fun but I live a busy life and it’s hard to play as far as on local aspect but even if there was competition between your last time trial runs or points generated. But it is definitely a fun game.

Good game, but not free. This game is super fun. I love the retro style of the game as well as the adventure the game holds. I gave it 3 stars simply because you have to pay for the full game. It is only a demo. If you have to pay for the full game, why is it it “free” when downloading? If that is the case, you should not make it a free to download game, you should just make people go ahead and pay for it. Other than that, great game.

Wow! This is something special. This game could be the perfect retro side-shooter/brawler. Absolutely NOT too hard. Kids these days are just too soft. This the kind of retro pixel brawler I’ve always wanted on mobile. Would pay for a upscaled PC version as well. Definitely worth the time! Games used to the old 90’s brawlers will love it!

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! 🎮👌. Thought I’d give the demo a try and was blown away how beautiful it looks, the retro/cyber/futuristic surroundings look unbelievably good and totally worth the money, even though the game is a little difficult I’m so glad I can play a iPhone game that’s actually challenging and not just something that’s so easy you go through the motions, great game and highly recommend this masterpiece of a game

Cool game, Great graphics but…. This game is very cool looking but holy is it hard at first I figured it was because I was on normal even on easy it feels impossible took me 2 days just to get passed the second level maybe I’m just getting old but other then that it’s a very nice looking game.

Masterful nod to 90s gaming.. I picked this game up on a whim, having never heard of it before; the aesthetic value was immediately apparent, and I wanted to see if it would captivate me as the side-scrolling shooters of the 90s did in my childhood years. Holy $h!t. You can run, jump and slide while unloading rounds of ammunition in an enjoyable variety of enemy-types. The controls are responsive enough for you to slide up to an enemy, kick them off a ledge, blast them full of lead as they fall to their death, turn around and send some throwing daggers into another enemy as you jump off on to another ledge, where you blow up an explosive canister and obliterate another enemy. All of this happens quickly and is accompanied with top-notch animations and audio. Enemies flail around and scream on fire, your bounty hunters respond with varied audio depending on which enemies you kill and you how kill them. Every level entrance is a fun little cinematic, the bosses have fun dialogue and thought out combat loops/phases, the environments are detailed, the gameplay rewards skill; it’s just a very good game. Do you remember how dope Contra was? If you were 6-years-old and I walked up to you and gave you this game, it would have altered your reality; you’d never be able to go back to what was, you’d wanna play this all the time, you wouldn’t shut up about it during recess, girls would hate you, but you wouldn’t care about girls, you’d care about being the best bounty hunter, your grades would drop, parents would scold you, what do they know, nothing. Smooth bloody and fun. This game brings back the 16 bit nostalgia from the Nintendo/sega days. It is surprisingly smooth playing this game w/o a controller. You can position the button mapping to your liking. The characters you choose from have witty remarks as you bash shoot and blow up your enemies as do the bosses

HUNTDOWN. This game is 🔥🔥🔥🔥.. we’ll worth every penny and plays great with it without the controller. I use the Razor Kishi controller, I have no issues. Super smooth gameplay on all fronts..

One of the best games on the App Store. The developers of this game have done a tremendous job on this game. The art, the sound, the music, the details (graffitis, messages, references to old classic games and movies in the character speech) is all superb. Feels like a modernized old school game with great controls and tons of difficulty settings that bring you back to 80s and 90s games. Plus, they gave Apple TV some love (which is my device of choice for a game like this).

Hunt Down Fun & Fury. A great game like ones available in arcades or on older systems, HUNTDOWN is a great game with pixelated action and lots of variety to keep players on their toes. Four levels with lots of fun and hoping more will be included. Unsure how others would feel but it would be great to be able to purchase upgrades using acquire in-game currency (no micro transactions) such as extra health or an extra weapon slot. Regardless, take a trip to the past with this fun future game!

Needs controller support PLEASE. What an awesome game. The graphics are very retro and colourful. The sound is solid. Gameplay is fun. Controls are lacking! PLEASE ADD CONTROLLER SUPPORT.

Level Editor. Great game, love the bosses and atmosphere. I think a level editor similar to Hotline Miami 2s would be great to allow players to create levels/storylines or play other peoples creations to make up for the short story.

SIDE SCROLLING WITH A NEO NIOR CYBER PUNK MODERN FEEL.. A good mix of retro and modern. Plenty of nostalgia. The only thing that can make this better is coop, which needs to happen immediately. Until that happens 4 stars.
