Ironman App Review. The app was generally helpful and informative. I enjoyed the regular alerts on the participants that I was following. I would have liked a little more information about the overall size of the field so it would be easier to know where my followed athletes stood in their respective groups. Also it would have been nice to have better statistics on the bike and run segments. It was hard to figure out what was being relayed, e.g. were the segment data incremental or cumulative?

Great app but drains your battery!!. This app is great and makes spectating at these Ironman events so much fun! You can plan and track your athlete(s) and see who stopped and where they stopped and how long and the alerts are great too. Really, without this app, spectating would not be as fun at all! That being said, it DRAINS your battery on your phone. I was with five people and we started watching it at 7am and all six of us by 1pm had zero battery and dead phones and missed the finish picture opps! Maybe we should have turned off alerts and that would have helped. But the app is so fun to watch and the alerts are super helpful. So it needs a little improvement but it is really great.

Ironman App. Used to track friends for two 70.3 Ironmans. App is super easy to navigate. Love looking at realtime updates on individual’s stats. Road map tracking for each is great fun and kept me glancing at screen over several hours. Turned on the pings that kept ringing to call me back to App. Spent waiting time before swim started scrolling through well done sponsor company photos/product shots.

Glitch - Can’t disable messages. Have always had good experience tracking athletes, no complaints there. But as of a recent update there is no way to turn off the “event messages” - there’s a check box that if you uncheck, leave the message screen, then go back, it has been checked again, so you constantly get updates about event schedules, registration, etc, well after the event is over (and if you track people in multiple events, it gets really annoying). It didn’t always do this - please let us opt out of event messages again!

Amazing UX!. As a spouse of a triathlete whose been following the sport for 12 yrs the apps and athlete trackers over the years have been a huge disappointment. Fast forward to today, when I tracked athletes all day for the Mont-Tremblant Iron Man. What an amazing app!!! Great details, easy to use, on time push notifications - just a wonderful user experience. Please share this review with your app development team. I work in that field of IT and know the effort and skill it takes to implement something of this caliber. From a professional triathlete supporter, THANK YOU!!!

A great app. I love using this app to track my wife when I am spectating at a race, it also work great for following friends when you are not at the race. My wife is the one who introduced me to the app and it is great for estimating when your athlete will cross a certain point. The check points are determined by each race, and some races have fewer points. Some may also list them in kilometers instead of miles. The push notifications are awesome and make it fun to follow someone. Definitely worth downloading and using at each race.

Was it really that easy?!?. A friend’s spouse sent this app around to support our Ironman. We were like “oh no, another clunky app full of ads and registrations”. - Not the case at all. Downloaded the app, searched the name of our guy, got a map, dynamic data, AND estimated times to finish. It was marvelous and seamless and in a world where we are generally only inspired to review something that irritates us, I am happy to say this free app delivers above and beyond for the those who want to track their athletes both while at the scene and remotely.

Perfect info. This is my husband’s second Ironman sanctioned event and the app has been totally clutch both times. It’s so great to share with others tracking from afar, and incredibly helpful as a spectator projecting where your athlete will be and when. As well as keeping you filled in on how they’re doing when you can’t see them for a number of hours. Meets all of the needs and is very user friendly!

Easy to use. The app was great!! I bet the people who wrote the software and the people keeping the website going will be glad to see the races using it, all end successfully. What a responsibility to put out such an excellent program for so many people and have it run so smoothly. Awesome to provide to people watching the race and being where they need to be at the right time. My only confusion with it was not knowing for sure which course would be used for my relative’s particular race. Otherwise, I’d rate it an 11–it answered all my other questions and was easy to navigate. Thanks.

Proud Father. I wanted to follow my daughter’s progress online and the app made that possible. I liked the bell announcements at various points. My only problem (and maybe it’s just me) was getting access to the full spreadsheet as opposed to just the top line number. Fortunately my other daughter figured it out (just click on the profile) so I was fine.

Great app for keeping up with your favorite athlete!. My husband will be doing his first Ironman next weekend and I wanted to become familiar with the app. I followed several Ironman events with different athletes so he could see the times and age differences and I think it motivated him. I also enjoyed watching the athletes complete each part of the event and then finish. I think it’s a great way to keep up with your athlete and also see what different courses are doing.

Ironman race. My nephew was a participant and it was very nice to see his progress on the route. It would be kind of nice if you put a blurb in there for us novices explaining the different events . Like how many miles did they swim and and bike and run etc . I believe it’s in their stats somewhere but just a short explanation of each event would be nice. Maybe there was and I just missed it. But thank you to the many people it takes to pull off a race like this . It was fabulous.

Tracking athletes is so simple!. Being able to stay up to date on athletes progress through races is incredible with this app. There are so many opportunities to be updated on the athletes progress which is super fun + it’s simple to use. I have had some delays in logging when at in person events but more likely that not it’s due to the volume of people using the app on that given day.

Ironman Tracker. This is my first time using this app so I’ve no other to compare it to. It was used to track one of my close friends competing in an Ironman competition. I was not sure how to use it when I first opened it but figured it out after hitting on the links. Once the athlete was in motion the information showed the progress of each event in time and miles from start to finish. I liked that it displayed the athlete’s ranking among the age group and overall competitor status. Wish there was a way to let the athlete know you were cheering them on throughout the event or leave comments so they could see at the finish. Great app overall. I would recommend.

Very helpful notifications!. I found the sound notifications very helpful. I had a trouble telling if the person I was watching was in the second leg of the bike or if he had completed it. I saw the clock continuing, so I assumed he was still biking. But I couldn’t tell if the clock was an overall time or just the bike time. I had the same problem with the run. Maybe if I understood the app better before the race started, that would have been better. Maybe the larger screen would have helped. It was great to have the transitions labeled because that got me back on track.

Great with one improvement. Helpful, easy to use and clean interface. One suggestion is to make the course map with all 3 segments available for viewing BEFORE the race starts. Before the race starts you can only see a map for one segment at a time (i.e. swim only, bike only, etc.). Would be super helpful to see how they all connect. Both for athletes and spectators. Otherwise great!!

Great app but drains your battery!. This app is awesome and intuitive in every way. Search for your race and then search for your participants. It’s that easy! I use this app all the time not only tracking my races, but also all of the races of my friends. Make sure you bring a batty pack to keep your phone charged. Being on your phone all day will drain your battery and you won’t make through an entire Ironman race without it.

Very user friendly!. This app has really improved over the last couple of years. It is easy to track racers and the map showing the racer’s location seems to be very up-to-date and accurate. It makes tracking a specific racer more fun since you can anticipate when they’ll be riding or running past you. The app is intuitive and very user friendly.

Close. This app gets you close to you athlete and their pace/finish so you can cheer them on. Of course the app can’t give exact locations since we don’t have a chip inside of our athletes. As the race progresses the accuracy goes down because the algorithm used on the map cannot know the conditions or the athletes condition. With several major races at the same time the server gets bogged down and slow to respond.

Great App!!. This was a great comfort to me watching my sister complete her first Iron Man so far away. When the notifications came it would've been helpful if there was some exclamations of what the numbers meant. I think I figured it out over time but it would've been helpful to know right from the beginning. Plus the map was a little confusing I couldn't tell what was what but these are not complaintsthat would reduce my five star review! Keep up the good work!!

Ironman Tracker. I’m a first time user and I am NOT tech savvy, but this app was easy to use and I was thrilled to be able to track my nephew in his first Ironman attempt and converse with other relative across the country doing the same. It was like having a “watch party” over the phone. I would suggest having an mph option in addition to the existing kmh. This was interesting and fun.

Ironman Tracker. Everything plus more was available to the spectators!! So happy to have had access to this app! I wish it had a visual component as well! There was a decent amount of lag time and spots where there was poor connection, but I don’t think that was the “apps” fault! Notifications were fantastic! Reaction time with old phones isn’t the greatest, but after refreshing, seemed to be fine. Maybe a direct link on the app to the live finish line to see your athletes Ironman finish!! Nothing better than hearing “you are now an Ironman”!!!

Ironman App accuracy. We really enjoy the Ironman app for the entire event but the accuracy is not always consistent. This time it was really off on certain parts of the run…actually frustrating because we had 3 athletes in this event and it made it really hard to know when/where they were. But overall this is a great app and we still would recommend it to all the spectators.

Awesome app! 3 [minor] suggestions. This app is so awesome and worked like a charm! The estimated locations are a bit ahead of the athletes, which actually works to a spectator's advantage. The only three improvement suggestions: 1) mile markers should be per event, not accumulative. I didn't realize they were accumulative until the run portion and math is not my strong suit to subtract the 112 mile bike miles and the swim miles from the mile marker indicators. :) Mileage reported in the time alerts were by event, so that was good! 2) try to make the map arrows more intelligible when there are loops the athletes have to do. I cross-referenced with each event's map view on the Ironman website, but would've been nice to have the loops better marked in the app. 3) Could you add a "You are here" indicator on the map? I cross-referenced with Google Maps, but having that right in the athlete tracker map would have been even more awesome! But overall...SUCH an improvement from last year's tracker app and I'd recommend it to any spectator! Great job!!

Wife-tracking sweetness!. Finally figured out how to be in the right place at the right time to cheer for my fast little wife. All you guys out there, wanting to be there for your girl on her big day, you need this app! It puts all the info where you need it, and it’s with you constantly on race day. Never mind the squabbling kids - you’ve the stats you need! There is a soggy delay in the upload compared to real-time, ground truth data, but that’s to be expected. Get this app and earn brownie points!

Ironman Tracker. This tracker app is outstanding. Our daughter and two of her friends competed in the same event and we were able to track each of them through the various stages of their progress for swim, bike, and run. The app also gave us notifications as certain milestones were met. It is a great app for following a friend or loved one’s progress. I highly recommend it!

I couldn’t be more impressed. I downloaded this app to help myself and my teammates track our first Ironman 70.3. The app was amazing! It helped us keep track of each other’s performance and be prepared for our transitions. It also allowed my wife to watch us from home and follow our race in a way that she enjoyed it more than any other race I’ve been in. I will recommend it to more friends to track us in our future races!

Great app to track an athlete. Thought this app was great - loved how you can see the course, see the athlete in the course and get updates on their progress...either via looking it up or with pushed notifications. Also love the placement stats and avg times. We learned thru the day not to trust the location markers of the athletes 100%, as we missed them a couple times because of this. During the run, the markers were totally inaccurate.

Totally nails what you need for in person or Virtual Sherpa. Intuitive! Second time I’ve used this app. It was our sons first Ironman andI couldn't be at the race. Navigates well. Worked continually without any shut downs. Very much Real Time data. I really like how I could open other data and quickly get back to Tracker. For instance, pop open the elevation, touch and slide to view elevation and milage and then get right back to tracker. Features I especially liked: the stats that scrolled continually (age, gender, overall placement) and miles done with miles to go. I gathered data to text to family and friends during the race. One friend, who has competed in many Ironman races, wrote me “You would made a great on course Sherpa! I'm jealous!” Thanks for this! The only way for me “to be there” without being able to physically be there.

Works well.. Alerts at the beginning of the run are pretty frequent and kind of irritating when you’re used to only every 5k or 10k. But at least you know if your athlete is on pace or running out of steam or whatever. Love how easy it is to find your athlete and then just track in the app. One marathon tracker had me giving them my life story before they would agree to text me updates. Eww. This was much easier!

App helped if cell service was working. App was great idea. Downside was it often froze due to lack of cell service. Bring in some towers! Also, assuming it’s not already there, I couldn’t find MY position wrt my sons tracker. Unfamiliar with the course. if it was there I could have used the map function more efficiently. You could sell power station access for recharging power sticks, phones, etc. the app ate up phone battery!!overall, it made my experience far better to have this info!! Thanks!

Great for tracking your athlete!. As someone who can rarely make it down to the race itself, I love being able to watch my athlete finish each leg of the race, complete with split times and paces. Each year the app improves and is more and more reliable for accurate location information. If I were viewing the race in person this app would be indispensable for timely placement to cheer my athlete on. Highly recommend for the support crew of all racers!!

A distant spectator of multiple participants!. The app was easy to use. I was following 4 athletes and 1 team. I knew when they started, where on the course they were, and the various live statistics. The app also indicated where the pros and age group leaders were on the course. I could actually watch my friend’s position move along the swim, bike, and run courses. I could not have been more informed as a spectator.

Overall, nice feature. Great feature for family and friends to follow their loved one. It was not completely in synch and there were times where the participant was further along than demonstrated on the app. And, the app took a while to load. The km, mi delineation is great but sometimes was confusing. And, our participant had a flat tire. This added 1/2 hour to his time. Unfortunately, it adds to his total time.

Phenomenal App! Worked Flawlessly. My first app review because this thing was THE BOMB! So many cool, easy to use features. Absolutely love how it aggregates athlete's data in an easy to read format and how easily athletes can be searched for/added to the roster. A bonus was the visual map of the course with (near) real-time updates of their position on the map. Of course, it has to estimate positions between timing stations but I was amazed at how well it did this. Also the notifications at the timing stations was such a cool feature! Made tracking my friends a thrill rather than a frustrating experience trying to navigate the worthless IRONMAN site. I would actually pay a good amount of money for this app....can't believe it's free. Thank you to the designers!

Ironman app Was almost like being a witness!. I followed the Iron Man/Muncie event on my app from 5:30 in the morning California time until my friend crossed the finish line at 7:19 Muncie time… And it was thrilling to feel like I was almost there! Her family kept sending me pictures but the App’s stats were so helpful in making me feel like I WAS “there.“ I’m not a runner or a cyclist and used to be a swimmer so it was all contributing to my understanding of everything involved in such an incredible athletic achievement and left me feeling that I had not missed out. Bravo!

Saw everyone I was tracking. I had six people to track at ironman Maine, 70.3. I would never have been able to see all of them because their times were so different if it wasn’t for this app. I was able to see everyone come out of the water, start the run and then finishing the race, because the app told me where to be and when to be there. My only confusion was it, not knowing if the app was reporting into transition or out of transition when it gave updates.

Great athlete tracker. This has been the most accurate athlete tracker from various types of races I’ve used. It stalled out just a few times, for a very short duration, but that wasn’t unexpected for the size of the race. Overall, the tracker was very accurate, and provided up to date data on the athletes we were tracking. The live map tracking is so helpful in trying to bounce between cheering locations.

Great app but could improve some features. I watched my friend compete all day in Ironman Kona. I would regularly post throughout but it became hard to grab info after the swim becuse there was no way to stack times so you could have the swim stat near the bike stat, then later the run stat. It was frustrating to have to grab and crop without context of whose name it was and what the list of times was for. I recommend a “total so far” section where it’s formatted for Instagram for easy posting and people can see the name of competitor and completed event times stacked or alongside the current progress.

Makes Race Prep Much Easier. I just finished up my first Ironman race. Prior to knowing about the app, having to go online through email links to get info was a bit annoying, not the worst thing in the world. After learning about the app, however, my life got much easier. Being able to open it up and check for any updates, review the athlete guide, and check the race week schedule we’re a breeze.

Frustrating Leaderboard. Inconsistencies when showing top results. Often limits to only top 10 results in category and no way to page through past 10 results. For the longest time, the Pro women results were capped at 10 while showed all men. That was fixed for a while but seems to have returned for both categories now. Annoying to have to select “are you a participant?” each time you view a race and if you accidentally do, you’re screwed because you get annoying non-relevant push notifications. There’s no way to track someone without receiving all of their push notifications - clearly designed for someone who is only following a single athlete versus someone who wants to “virtually spectate” a race. As a dev myself, I’d be embarrassed to ship something with this many inconsistencies and poor UI.

Great app!. Loved watching the mileage bar at the top! The regular checkpoint times were great to see. After watching the checkpoint times in the tracker for a while I discovered the map function and absolutely LOVED watching the progress on that! Having stats about final positions was just the icing on the cake! Short of being there for the race, this was the next best thing!

Best way to follow your IM Athlete!!!. Whether you are at the event needing to find find your athlete on the course to cheer, or at home sending your cheers across the miles, this app is the best way to track your athlete’s progress. Having been in the other side as an athlete, it helps me to know my family and friends know where I am, and those who know me well enough, can tell when I am struggling most and send out those good vibes!!!

Almost a perfect way to track an athlete. I’ve used this tracker to follow my husband at 4 IronMan 70.3 events. Easy to download, easy to use. So easy to use that I have looked up times for strangers who were curious about the time and location of their athlete. My only complaint is the minute or two lag time between when an athlete passes the tracker station and the notice appears on my phone. I missed quite a few pictures, because I was not expecting my husband to reach my location as quickly as he did, until I began to subtract 2 or 3 minutes from the tracker’s report of my husband’s location.

A Must-Have App for Ironman Spectators!. The highlight of this app is the ability to track one or more participants from start to finish, even in the dark! The maps are provided in 2D and 3D modes. Expand the maps and you can see street names as the participant makes turn-by-turn. In a noisy spectator environment, the Audible notifications as the participant gets through timed check points, is a great plus! This way, one is able to view participant race stats at every stage. The only downside is that when Internet signal is used by so many spectators at the race venue, tracking can be slow to update. However, if you are familiar enough with the app, you must estimate that your participant is a little further ahead than tracking shows. This enables you to be at a certain vantage place to see and cheer your favorite participants as they pass by. Overall though, a much appreciated App!

We could follow our family’s participant from all over the country, and in Europe.. Thank goodness for this app. As the mom of a daughter who does Triathlons, it makes me feel less anxious to follow her on this website. We were able to cheer her on midway through the bike portion and again as she transitioned from the bike to the run. It was our first time in Chattanooga so the maps were helpful. We all appreciate the quality tracking app for supporters of the Ironman event. Thank you!

Wonderful tool to track athletes. I have tracked athletes before through the Ironman website and the race site, but this made it easier to get into that system. Had 8-10 athletes being tracked at the same time and all information for each athlete was easily and readily displayed. No huge lag time problems. Loved the experience. I wasn’t sure it would track while they were in the water and was extremely pleased with the tracking capabilities then as well.

Spectating Planning Godsend. This app is the single best tool to use for planning the day-of spectation of a friend or loved one competing in an Ironman event. You can track multiple athletes both on time-in-event splits and time-of-day splits. These splits and the projected future splits take all of the error and much of the guesswork out of when to position yourself at certain locations, and the app even offers direction to those locations. The only suggestion I could make to improve this app would be for it to take into account the posted Ironman road closures in generating the directions to locations to view each athlete, which could cut out some time consuming navigational cross-referencing. But this app is invaluable and will be my first move in spectating any Ironman henceforth.

Tracked well!!. It tracked my wife flawlessly, except when she reached 1:10 into the race(the swim cutoff time) the app said she was disqualified for not making the cutoff even though she was already 20 minutes into the bike. After a minute it reset itself and continued tracking. It did the same thing on a friend that we were also tracking in the same race. That was a such a minor nuisance I almost feel bad for mentioning it. On race day our family was spread across 4 states and one son in Asia. All could track her progress. What a wonderful app!

Pretty good tracking app!. While there are always some issues with tracking in real time for your athlete(s) this app has come a long way in the past few years! Better updates and more accurate. Love being able to track my friend’s and favorite Pros during different IM races. Wish it were a bit more dead on with the location, etc. but that’s tech and it’s better than nothing and being left on the course clueless as to where or when you’ll see your athlete go by!!

Helpful. Mostly a good app, some glitches in freezing but overall so helpful to track my athlete and know where to be. It would be helpful if you could open the athlete guide and keep it open at the same time as the tracker. Thanks Ironman :)

Awesome real time tracker. Great to be able to track the athletes real time, sometimes went out of sync with maps but suspect this may be internet issues.

Ironman Cairns. It would be great if an auto photo was taken at various stages, as the athlete runs along, and auto syncs on the map. Just to make it extra interesting for the followers.

Amazing App. Wow, it is so cool to be able to track competitors in live time. The after is super user friendly. Thanks so much! Although I couldn’t be there this year I felt like I was able to cheer them on from home!

Watching my son compete. Much better than I had anticipated. Selected my son the day before the start. Started sending updates on his progress even before I opened my iPad. Easy to see where he was. Lots of other info too.

Sensational tracking app. This app is an absolute winner for race tracking. So easy to track your chosen athlete and the notifications at every race checkpoint are brilliant!

All good but.......... Far too many alerts when tracking athletes. We can check progress for ourselves on this excellent app, but my iPad sounded like it was playing a Bach concerto with all the alerts, particularly on the run section.

Amazing. I found this app so easy to use it was great the track my player it was always up to date and the event was just amazing you could see your player in multiple places because the app tells you when the come close by so I recommend the app if you are doing an ironman

Needs better search. Would be nice if you included the names of each team member for 70.3 teams. Both results and searching. For instance, I know Bill Smith is racing but I don’t know his team name so I can’t track him or see his results.

Easy to use. This app is so amazing. So easy to track athletes, sends you notifications on their progress, can track them on a map and can even see a video of them finishing!

Great tracking!. Tracking my son and his girlfriend’s progress from the other side of the Continent - really love the updates - just wish there was live streaming so I could see them come across the finish line and do a “shoey”!

Pam. Given we couldn’t watch the race in Australia being able to use the app was the next best thing. We were able to track progress which was a great service.

Our Tough Daughter. We are so far away while our daughter is doing iron man just great to be able to keep track of her, know she is doing ok & is safe. When you are busy & can take a couple of seconds often to see what is happening is great. Thank you

Ironman Spectacular Spectator. Loved the app and followed four competitors. Only complaint was predicted time was a bit out so we had to run to the viewing for that section! How wrong! Felt like we did a marathon! 😆 excellent day tho altogether!

Works well!. Was great to be able to track the 2 athletes I knew in this event - to give close to accurate indications of where they were on the track and to be able to cheer them on! Really helpful app - when there are huge numbers of entrants it is easy to miss ‘your’ athlete. Would recommend this app.

Awesome participant tracker!. This app is really awesome. We were able to follow our friend along all day and know exactly when to head out onto the highway to cheer her on. And then follow along all day on the app. The map function is really great and gives you notifications at regular intervals too. I really enjoyed using this app today, makes you feel part of it, even though ur stuck at home working 😥😄

Join the distances!. Can you join the tracking for IM’s and 70.3’s into the one event so you can track people in the different distances without having to keep switching events? It was so much better when you did it that way a few years ago!

Easy to find athletes. Simple to navigate, though would be improved if search could be done by category/age group.

Very useful and accurate. Really enjoy the app and gives great info for all the athletes. Would love to see all up coming races displayed or a years schedule however. And would also be good if when displaying the races that will commence that week, that you could see the start times in your current location instead of the local start times. Thanks IRONMAN

Love it. It was incredible being able to track the progress of friends using the app. It meant that as a spectator I could choose the best place to be on the track to offer support and what time to be there.

Real time tracking extremely helpful. I downloaded this app as a last minute thing and only used it for tracking the participant’s location and it works very well. It was able to predict fairly accurately the location and just that feature alone has been very useful.

Outdated interface. The interface is buggy, outdated, and hard to use. If you zoom in, it zooms out, the location function is intermittent, but that may be due to going for the lowest bidder in terms of geolocation. This needs lots of work, and for a company that turns so much profit…it’s a shame.

Vraiment bien, quelques améliorations de suivi de nage à faire. Je retire une étoile pour cette map qui devrait rester en 2D et pas se mettre en vue tilté. Mais le suivi de la course à pied et vélo est vraiment fiable à 2/3 min (bien sûr ça dépend de la régularité du coureur). Ça permet d’anticiper et de savoir où se placer pour encourager, c’est vraiment bien. Par contre la justesse de la nage est très mauvaise. Le suivi de plusieurs coureurs est aussi bien fonctionnel!

Ironman App. Wow! Great app for tracking athletes while they completed their races! Everything was helpful on this app - map, locate, leaderboard etc. The automatic updates sent to my phone were helpful too! A definite must have app for triathlon followers!

Makes a supporter part of the race!. We have used this app to follow for all the Ironman races of our son. Although the app tracking lags (you have to assume your athlete is closer than they are for pictures) the split times posted as they go past tracking is very accurate. It’s an amazing way of being connected with your athlete and participating in their process. All the splits, average per mile are fantastic. I cannot imagine going to a race without using this app. It’s also amazing for people at home who want to follow along!!

Wonderful App for following our athletes. It’s great to see the course, where athletes we follow are at, their time and even their estimated time of finish. We get to know quickly how they ranked among their groups.

Apps conviviale avec plusieurs stats.. C’est vraiment super comme application. Il y a toujours quelque chose à améliorer sur une apps, celle-ci ne fait pas exception, mais honnêtement il faudrait être très difficile. Une apps gratuite qui en offre ++. Pour des améliorations, je dirais des photos et vidéos de tous les participants durant le parcours via des options payantes aux choix des spectateurs et participants. Peut être plus de chronos également, mais tous ça vient avec un coût. Bravo aux concepteurs et développeurs vous avez conçus toutes une apps.

Felt like I was there. This was great! I’m the 77 yr old mom of a first time participant of 56. I couldn’t go to watch or follow but this was the next best thing! Very easy to follow. I did follow each station along the way, also tracked him on the google map. Easy, even for my old brain!! 😀 oh, also was able to watch the finish and hear them announce that he is an IRONMAN!!!!!!

IRONMAN APP for Tulsa. Great app! We were able to know where our participant was at all times. We were able to see him several times along the way and know the progress he was making in each event due to the app. The estimated finish times were extremely helpful!

Laggy. Was not updating at all after the first 30 minutes of the race. We had no idea where our athlete was. The organization of the app and the information on the app are great. Just did not track well and left us scrambling for the rest of the race.

Great App. I love the new app! Real time tracking works and I can find the participants on the course and be prepared for when they are soon to finish. The only thing I’d love is if there was a way to switch between miles and kilometers so I’d have a better idea what the average speed is and how far along they are regardless of which country we’re in.

FINALLY!!. Finally there is a app that tracks Ironman events well. I was able to track 3 athletes very easily yesterday for Santa Rosa. I loved the marker at the top of each athlete that told me what mile they were on. Tracking 2 more friends today for Canada. *Side note: I've had more trouble writing the review than tracking any athletes. When I click "send", nothing is happening.

Ironman Tulsa. My son Finished Ironman Tulsa and I was in South Carolina. It was awesome to be able to follow him on this app to see where he was during the race. I have been at the other Ironman races he has completed in and the app was not as good. This improvement is awesome! I felt like I was there with him. I also forwarded app to friends so they could follow him too. Good job!

Great App!. Very easy to use app with grey functionality. Whether you’re in the field or remote you can actually track athlete in virtually real time. I also like the push notifications of where the athletes stands right at the moment of the race. Whether you are looking for the statistics, or the actual map you can actually see it in different dimensions.

Great way to track at a distance. This app is a great way to track triathletes when you cannot be there in person. The notifications are nice and the splits make you almost feel like you are there. Sometimes the data doesn’t get read but for the most part it works well. Suggestion: allow viewers to post encouragement to athletes during the race.

Good Info, Tracking Only OK. The tracking was very important to us as spectators to know where/when to view our athlete. It became less accurate as time increased but gave a good general idea most of the time. Everything else was awesome! Loved the maps with mile markers. Notifications were very helpful for check in, since the weather was bad and bike check in was delayed and race start was also delayed.

Great App. The app was amazing except for 1.2 miles from the finish line, it showed my daughter stalled out 1.2 miles away. We thought she had collapsed froM the heat for about 20 scary minutes. Then when we thought about going back for her, she ran past us to the finish line. App still stuck. Otherwise we very much loved the app.

Iron AP. Great and mostly easy to use App once you get the hang of if. Love that you can track multiple athletes and the estimated times for different milestones/locations make it possible to plan out and find your athletes on the course. Just discovered the “find your own location” on the map and you can see shddd you are with respect to your racers.

Watched my Son. It was such a joy to be able to track my son running in the Iron Man in Boulder today, I was able to track exactly where he was going to be. This app was so helpful to know exactly where he was. I would highly recommend this app, it is been very helpful as we were cheering him on in the race today.

Absolute Best!. This app is amazing! It is the ideal way to track your athlete. Gives you periodic updates, projects when your athlete is expected to complete different phases/ milestones, and tells you approximately where they are on a map! It doesn't get any better than this, and... it's free! I can't even imaging what awesome stuff the paid version can do.

Superior tracking. I was able to track in real time! It was incredibly accurate. I put the feature on where I could see the realistic map so being half way across the country it made me feel like I was running around the lake with everyone! So cool.

Delights after a long wait. The provided the best updates that I've always hoped for in the 15 Ironman Races my partner has been in. From sharing with friends, getting updates at each timing mar, predicting times for upcoming locations, leaderboards, an interactive map and the athlete guide I had everything I needed. I drained my battery a bit but it could have been the photos. Thank you for such a thoughtful app

Mile markers. I’ve never written a review before but this app is extremely frustrating and could be very easily improved. First, mile markers on the map should NOT be cumulative. They should be per-event. Please adjust this. It is extremely confusing for everyone. Second, the map feature is automatically zooms back to your own location every few seconds. This is so unnecessary. I know my own location. Let me track my athlete.

You got this right!. There are so many little features that are awesome! I love the mapping. Seems you added an indicator on the leaderboard re whether they are moving up or down at each timing mat...that's a nice feature. One suggestion...I find myself flipping between the tracker and the scrolling through the leaderboards to see what position my friends are in. Show me their position on the tracker...particularly for a wave start or mass start race. But even a rolling start would be nice too....I'm going to be looking it up anyway!! Another idea....eventually I'll want it to be easy to see someone's history between various races. Overall...very nicely done.

Ironman70.3. The app is great but there were a few times when the tracker wasn’t working. It looked like my friend had not moved for quite awhile. This was a cause for concern. Several other spectators said the same thing, so we were comforted that it was likely an app glitch. Overall it was a great way to know where my friend was so I could cheer her on!

The BEST IM Tracker. This app is awesome. Just did IM CDA and Kona and my friends and family raved about how accurate this app was for tracking. It gives you splits and also has a live map function to show where you are on the course. So glad to have found this after the less-than-stellar tracking on the Ironman website. I also love being able to creep on other people's IM results after the race 😳😁

This is one of the best applications I’ve ever used. I have no idea who put together this app. But they need to put together all apps. Whether it be live tracking on the map. Or predictive in times. Or information about road closures. Or map routes. It’s all there and very easy to use and figure out. The notifications are fantastic as well.

Finally WTC delivers!. After years of embarrassingly bad tracking capabilities for Ironman events they have finally delivered a solution that leapfrogs the previously superior solutions. You can track multiple participants, check their progress and placement at each time station, easily check leaders in each age group, and see a graphical map overlay of the athlete's estimated location.

Could not have followed the Ironman without it !. As family and friends of competitors this app helped us every step of the way! We actually asked other people to put in or athletes bob number when our phones died and did same for others ! What a fun way to be connected to all the action ! Thank you !

Thrilling!!. This is my first time using the app and it made the entire event extraordinary. I could follow my friends, and friends of friends. I could be at points along the route to cheer. The push notifications were a huge bonus. Thank you so much. The ads were fine! Sponsors!!

Great app for family, friends and coaches. The only issue I have is that I wish the participants list was loaded sooner. This really isn’t an issue as much as it is me just being excited and impatient. :-) This app has made it possible for all my family and friends to enjoy “watching” the race. I love the splits, maps, the elevation profile, etc. This app is a must have for triathletes and Sherpas!

Easy to find and follow athletes. Great app to follow athletes in live events. Updated at each time check and gives estimates on when to expect athlete at next check based on current pace. Map view to see where they are on the course. Easy to switch between my follows and the leaders. Could see how each age group was progressing.

Blown Away!. I’ve not seen anything like this! Absolutely fantastic. Made my experience tracking athletes fun!! Hope more races pick this up (marathons and ultras and perhaps bike races (if they don’t already). Great stats/splits. Really good way to track athletes. WISHING FOR THE ABILITY TO SEE YOURSELF (the one tracking) ON THE MAP ALONG WITH ATHLETES YOU’RE FOLLOWING. (Unless there is a way and I missed it). That way, you don’t have to flip back an forth between map systems. Really smart. I love it!

CDA 2023. App was generally great and worked as expected but big disconnect between the tracker and the map at the end of the run. Map showed he had actually finished while he was still 12 minutes out. And the map froze for 5-10 minutes just before the finish. The tracker function seemed very solid all day.

Great way to enjoy the race when you can't be there. It was cool to see the times of our son during the Iron Man 70.3 in Augusta and to cheer him on from our home in Atlanta. While confusing at first, once we got used to the different times, distances and speeds reported, it was fun to see how he was doing and when he completed the race. Highly recommend this app.

Helpful and Improved. Been using this app for many years and it has greatly improved over the years. I track multiple athletes and capture their stats for them to add into their post race analysis. More convenient than watching for them at various places along the route.

Ironman Tracker. Very easy to find your participant. Enjoyed being able to follow the timeline of where our person was during the event. The map was a little hard to understand but still you could see where they were. Also appreciated the extra information about their standing and their estimated time of when your person was expected at the next check in spot.

Great tracking app. I like this app because it makes it so easy to track your athlete. The map feature is also helpful. Only problem can be if the internet is not working as well and sometimes you don’t know if you are up to date. But most of the time it’s very accurate.

Review of Ironman App. This app worked all day with only minor glitches. It refreshed quickly. I was able to follow 3 competitors without issue in the data and map. I especially liked the map feature as we were moving all day and I wanted to know where everyone was with respect to each other. Thank you!!

Much better than years ago. The app worked very well and provided regular updates. Took me a while to realize that when tracking multiple athletes, I needed to keep scrolling down after seeing first athlete to see the results for all the other athletes I was tracking.

Helps ease the anxiety of race day!. This app is amazing. Not only does it give you an up to date map of where your racers are but it gives you predictions for when they will be completing each leg using their current speed. It has been amazing to be able to enjoy more and worry that we’ll miss our racers less! Can’t recommend this enough. Thank you!!

Gets the job done!. The app keeps me up to date with the athletes guide, notifications and final race results. It is also super useful for spectators to track you on the course. User interface is a bit outdated, but the functionality and most of the user experience is good enough.

I so appreciate whoever created this app.. Our daughter and son-in-law participated today in the Gulf Coast Ironman this morning. My wife and I would love to have loved to be there but because of a recent surgery my wife had, we were unable to do so. However, this app allowed us to track and monitor their progress virtually. Great support tool!. Loved during my race that family and friends there to spectate could predict where to be to cheer and watch me, and that those back home or far away could be a part of it too. Just followed some friends at a race yesterday and it was so exciting to feel like I could be a part of it even though I couldn’t be there.

Ironman Tracker is AWESOME!. I’m not exaggerating when I say it is awesome. This app features real time clock, splits, map with participants, transition times, etc. I could go on but you get the idea. Our son did the 2021 Ironman 70.3 , and this app kept us in touch with how things were going fit him. The only thing better than that would have been being there in person. -m

Ironman Tracker Rocks!. This app simply rocks! We were able to follow our athlete (and the age group) throughout the entire Maine 70.3! It helped us enjoy the race and we were able to be in the right place at the right time to cheer! We were surprised by the accuracy of the map tracking feature - we will use this on all our Ironman races in the future!

Ironman app Madison WI. The app was fantastic! Our grandson competed and our family followed him all the way on the app! Our son’s family was there to watch their son and brother, but all the Texas family and friends who couldn’t go still had the enjoyment of keeping informed all the way from beginning to the final mile!!!! Worked beautifully. I couldn't go to the race so I followed my friend through this app. It worked wonderfully and I got to cheer her on to go faster and push harder at the end...even though she couldn't hear me. I was so happy to be able to track her progress. I'll definitely be using this app again when next she runs.

Exceeded Expectations. Simply amazing, updates at stations were near or actual real time. Estimations based on pace were spot-on. Tracking multiple athletes did not affect performance. Spoke with many others who also used Ironman Tracker so the network load must have been terrific, but it appeared to be up at all times. Nice job, kudos to the program team.

Good app to follow IM. Tha app works well even though many people use it at the same time. The map was very confusing and it was not so clear how many rounds people would give. It is good to keep in mind that the location of the person on the map is an estimation according to his/her pace and not the real location, but overall it does a good job.

Fun and addictive!. I enjoyed tracking my friends on this app. I knew where they were at all times, and I could follow their progress easily. The maps are great and help show context. The notifications are great for when you need to turn away for awhile. I like that they include the athlete and spectator guides directly in the app, too. Essential app for any Ironman fan!

Cheering Chattanooga 2022. The app made it possible to watch our son and his friends in real race time, follow them on the bike and running routes, and view stats for each event! We were driving from Charleston back to Jacksonville and watched the whole race! Congratulations to athletes! And thank you to Chattanooga's volunteers and donors who planned and executed the event! Super impressed with the App.

IronMan 70.3 Puerto Rico 2024. Great app! Very easy to track participants, notifications very accurate. A little bit of freeze moments on the map tracking mid way through the bike section, but that could very may be because I was moving locations and internet service changed.

Makes spectating much easier. Being able to use the map feature and get a fairly accurate gauge on where your athlete is on course makes being able to spectate and support your athlete incredibly easy! It’s such an great tool that once you use it at one race it becomes essential for all your others!

Great app. This was my first time using the app to track my son doing the half Iron Man triathlon in Haines city Florida. I also used it to track two of his friends. The app was absolutely great. I liked how it showed the estimated finishing times for each event and also track them on the course. Very easy to use.

Yeah, it's about time.. Over the last couple of years the Athlete Tracker was becoming more and more unreliable and I would have to rely on my husbands and other team members predictions. Today we tracked 4 teammates with notification alerts and we were very happy on what we saw and used. Sunday will be my husbands 12th Ironman and 6th in the last 11 months and life for this Sherpa will be much more pleasant, Thank you!
