Keeps crashing GarageBand on iPad.. Every time I try to open this plugin in GarageBand, it just crashes.

Great drum sounds. It’s so easy to reach for BB audio units because they’re so immediate and elegantly designed. These are all 5 star apps, but as an audio unit it’s not possible to switch active pad for live tweaking without triggering the pad. It’s also not easy to tell which pad is which sound while in audio unit mode because the labels don’t come up until you trigger the pad/sound. If the (kind of pointless) numbers beneath the pads were replaced with abbreviations instead of numbers, and if there were a way to switch active pad without triggering it I’d use it twice as much and I’d immediately come back and give this 5 stars.

The new Euclidean sequencer is a joy!. I had all the other Bram Bos synth apps but held off on this and Ruismaker FM as I have lots of drum/rhythm apps but WOW! This is some quick fun with some unpredictability built right in.

Only loads instructions.. Edit: understood. Shame I can only use it as an AU as I don't use that format. After launching the app all I see is a page with instructions. There is no device to interact with. Only an image displaying the different options. Tried many things but this is all that came up when starting the app. Same problem on both iPhone 6 as well as my ipad.

The best. The best! THE BEST!. [update 25-Aug-2017] wow, Bram Bos has done it again! This was already one of my favorite and most used apps. No there is a brilliant sequence generator that is inspiring and fun to use. Thank you!!! If you're into 808, 909, and other retro drum machine type sounds, and you have an Audio Unit Extensions supporting host like AUM, ModStep, Cubasis, or even GarageBand, just get this! I've not used any of my large collection of retro drum machine emulation apps since getting RuisMaker. It's just so easy to dial in the sounds I'm looking for. It's amazingly CPU friendly. It's fun, inspiring, and effective. Since it's an Audio Unit Extension, you can run as many instances as you want at a time. So, you can have more than just the 8 pads, or you can have multiple kits loaded and switch between them mid-song. As for performance, I tested 8 simultaneous instances in ModStep, each playing a different kit, and each running a heavy pattern at the same time without my iPad Air2 breaking a sweat. It's just killer. You won't regret getting RuisMaker for an instant.

PERFECT drums!!. I owned Ruismaker FM previously, but thought I’d give the OG a shot because I actually prefer analog drums over FM. Best drum-related decision I’ve made yet. This drum synth is solid, surprisingly flexible for what it is (a large collection of preset engines for each percussion instrument that can be individually rearranged into drum kits and individually tweaked) and stable. I mean, it’s Bram Bos. Buy it.

Efficient Drum Macine. This app is a great drum machine that works as described and uses a minimal amount of your devices resources. Lots of fun to be had in GarageBand, AUM, and Cubasis. You can use several instances of the app to create layered drum tracks.

Nice beefy low end. Good, warm, natural analog drum sounds, but not super tweakable. I prefer ruismaker fm, but this one is nice for classic roland 808 sounds. Add in a nice compressor and it really bangs

Misleading. First off. It’s not a drumsynth. It’s a virtual analog drum machine with preset sounds that gives you a few basic parameter controls. Definitely not “all the important functions” you’d expect. Sounds are nice I’ll give it that. But I bought this thinking drum synth. Not a preset drum machine. YES there is a difference. And if like me you purchase this only to find out it’s not what you thought (going off of the vague description) and you should want your money back minutes after purchasing Lol welllllll. Don’t expect one. There’s no receipt and no other way to go about trying other than developers. Which are already givin me problems. Lol it’s 5$ guys. Geez refund my purchase and I might still purchase the fm drumsynth y’all have. Which actually seems like a REAL drumsynth

Promising but not perfect in any way. I love this and mr. Bos’ other software. Major issue for me is that when using Ruismaker in standalone mode, portions of the interface are cut off. Why are the delay and revers controls missing in plugin mode?? Also, it would be easier if plug-in mode was able to use the built in sequencer rather than having to export then import into daw.

Pretty awesome, when it works.. Despite the update, this extension frequently causes GarageBand to quit as soon as I select the Ruismaker instrument. When I try to get back into GarageBand, it continues to close and I don't know how to resolve this. $5 for a drum machine that won't work.

Best dev best apps. Just wanted to say thanks, and that on a 3rd gen IPad Pro, you are one of, or possibly the only developer that is good enough that all of your apps are FULLY functional, I’ve wasted like 200 bucks on apps that half/don’t work at all on new devices/ios12. You give me hope that I didn’t waste 1400 bucks on an IPad that I mainly got for mobile audio production. Moog pooped the bed, sugarbytes pooped the bed, and so did most others, there are few apps that are fully functional and don’t have audiobus zombie background use and 70% cpu usage. I seriously have to hard reset brand new IPad after attempting to use 30 dollar apps. Thanks again keep it up, cuz you totally win at this point in the app game. You made higher paid devs look completely incompetent.

Excellent drum synth just got epic!. According to the description, there are no samples, only synth circuitry emulation in this app. Having given it a go, I have to say: the sound is really nice. Thick, punchy kicks, live snares, musical toms, it's all there. Now works as standalone! Awesome, fluid sequencer, save, midi, all kinds of junk. So great! Don't hesitate on this one!

Flexible analog modeling, great plugin!. I’ve bought all the Bram Bos plugins minus the Ruismaker FM and boy howdy they all sound great, this is no exception. The Euclidean sequencer is stellar, I’d use it all the time if you could only adjust note resolution to other divisions! Maybe a ratchet option too? Much love to the Bram Bos team.

Active and Responsive Developer, Great Sounds, AUv3 what more could you want!. I own every product from this developer. I am in support of developers embracing the AUv3 standard, especially when it sounds this good. Lots of consistency and simple, but powerful control options. Lots of constant updates with new features. Highly recommended.

Love it!. Great sound, super simple interface. Works great in GarageBand. I think I found a small bug, which is when it's in "punchy" mode the level of the module tends to creep up. A thwack on a louder instrument will bring the level down. Not a problem when the compressor is engaged (phat mode).

Excellent. Just exactly what we've been wanting.. This audio unit is truly amazing - yes, I know they're widely available on PC's & Mac's, however AUv3 Audio Units are a fairly recent development on iOS devices, and deserve to be looked at in a different light, largely because there are still so few of them. Maybe it's due to SOME developers NOT taking iOS music creation as seriously as they really ought to! In any case, this AU App certainly is worthy of special mention as it is a five-star, TOP DRAWER (wait for it . . .) DRUM MACHINE Synth!! YESSS! It has an easy-to-use, elegantly presented User Interface, with powerful drum synthesis. I hope this review helps you "DRUM" up some sales guys, you deserve it for this terrific App. Thank you.

Doesn’t work - crashes when ever i press a drum button. Was supposed to be compatible with my iPad but i get no sound and it crashes as soon as i press a drum pad. What is wrong with this? I also have Rozeta which is not revealing its various sequencers. Other apps from this developer seem fine. Waste of money. Not happy.

Fast and powerful. Usual smooth and professional Bram Bos UI design, not too many parameters to play with but such good results. Probably the best snare of any ‘analog’ drum machine on iOS.

No midi control of the random button???. The title says it all. Why can’t we access this button with external midi gear? :/

Ruismaker 2. A good, basic source of solid elec'n drum sounds. By adding the sequencer, the expectation of a complete drum machine arises. So please let us manually edit the hits! Right on the grid. Also: Would love it if Randomize could be applied to a single sound - or to a selection from within the grid. Thanks for the solid, useful app!

Great Drum Sound Module. This is a great sounding analog drum machine style module. Assuming you know what you're doing in terms of opening as an Audiounit as well as recording, Ruismaker offers circuit level digital algorithms that provide subtle differences in each hit - similar to Roland's ACB technology. I don't know that they go as detailed as Roland, but they certainly sound just as potent. I use a USB interface with iPad Pro, and Ruismaker works at 96k perfectly.
