Best Pixel Effect Out There. I have tried numerous editors and I can confidently say that this creates real pixel art, not just pixelated images. It creates defined, recognizable images that look amazing.

Good app. It it could be more enticing if. It offered more free examples of there effects like the PAINNT app offers PAINNT is the best app of its kind. And they change and update every day. It also has a real community shared section. Bring this app up to that level as a benchmark,then you would truly be a contender.

Great app, difficult to pick photos. I like the app, you can create really nifty art with it. Unfortunately, I find that it's clunky interface for photo selection makes it rather hard to use. The only way I've been able to figure out to do so is using the app, which only lets me browse through a grid of my Camera Roll—over 10k images. Ideally i'd like to see the app come up on the Activities sheet for editing the image(e.g. Photos app>image selected>Edit>(...) ), barring this just letting me select from my folders would be a big usability improvement. Promising app! the pixel art looks really great!

Fantastic. Go for the pro if you enjoy the free version. There are many many more features. And the pro section of controls makes this a very, very customizable app in ways that I didn’t anticipate. Thanks to the developer for taking a pixelizing app above and beyond the standard fare.

Totally worth it. Would like to see more control on some of the effects. Fading up and down, side to side, speed control of wind effect and direction of wind. Make gifs, sprite sheets, layers. Love pixel Art too and seems to be a great companion to Game Maker Studio. The simple controls make editing a breeze. Love this app!

Throw back style. This is an app for anyone who used MS Paint or used DOS. Adds a nice flavor to very mundane situations. It is thoughtfully clunky and well worth the 99 cents.

Really nice! Random Preset would be great. Great cam that adds surprising clarity and line to its pixel pics. Feature Request: One button to pick a random preset from the existing presets - Much faster than scrolling through them all!

Neat app, abuses ads. Abhorrent use of ads. Sometimes you'll get two ads back to back. And they happen every 10 taps or so, which with a photo editing app means that will happen quite frequently. And the ads make noise with no mute option. The ads ruined the experience of this quirky and potentially fun photo filter app.

Worth the buck. Really cool app with lots of effects to play with but there is one feature that would make it perfect: saving photos with effects as Live Photos.

It works!. Initial import of video issues solved by dev. Super fast support despite issues replicating my issue. Huge kudos on that. I don’t know any other iOS apps that do pixelated videos. Love features like the outline. It’s great for play. I’d love it if there was a bit kore control of the filters like in the Glitch app from the same dev. And I wish It could have a setting that would keep a greenscreen (ie: pixelate but look for less detail and with with not so much filter/distortion) That said, it does what it says on the tin!

Cool, game, cooool effects. Pixel Art Camera has many different features that are fun, interactive, and entertaining. I think it is well worth the two dollars I spent to have the full version of the game. The whole game comes with 29 styles, a variety of effects, and lots of special features exclusively for the Pro Version, such as adjusting pixel sizes and sharpness. Get this if you’re looking for an app with cool philters for for making good photos (and videos). One thing I think the developer should add is giving people the option to have more or less PPS for their videos, because it might help others with older devices. You’re WELCOME for my feedback.

Great value!. This app is amazing even in the free version but the very reasonable price of $3 gives you so many customization options and effects it’s totally a great value. The best part is that not only is it fun to play with but it actually could be used for creative projects! I really enjoy this app!

Just wasted $3.00. So I just wasted $3.00 on this app for the pro features (specifically to turn videos to pixels). To my surprise it doesn’t work and gets stuck on the playback of the video without exporting. So this is pretty ridiculous and I’d like my money back!

Good app, needs a proper photo picker. I really like the effects we can get from Pixel Art Cam. But for some reason, it uses a custom photo picker instead of the standard iOS picker. This makes it really difficult to find all my photos organized into albums, and impossible to use photos stored in iCloud Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and other apps that support the Document Providers. It’s good for your most recent photos, or taking a new photo. But anything beyond that, not so much. I hope the developer can update to use the standard photo picker and support Document Providers. Also, the iPad version isn’t really an iPad version. It’s just the iPhone version blown up, and it doesn’t even work in landscape.

Close. Would be 5 stars, but when I edit videos from camera roll with this, it exports with a weird blue blank space before the video (cutting some of it out?). It generally doesn’t seem to save well at all with video media. A bit disappointing. Otherwise a flawless tool for single images.

So unhappy with app. So unhappy with app! I tried to get a refund but Apple wouldn’t refund. BE CAREFUL when you buy apps now LIKE THIS ONE because if you don’t like it, Apple says to bad!!! Cool. Pretty neat tool, but don’t expect to get great results directly from your camera. Really only works well with high quality source images.

Fun app. But don't pay for pro.. Fun app. Lots of potential. I regret paying for pro, I thought I would receive a lot more variety and filters and effects. Each that's her affect looks almost identical to the free ones and most are close to identical to each other. There's very little variety. I wish I had not paid for it.

Do not waste your time. In the middle editing a picture a casino app took over my screen . It never got around to editing my pictures .

Pixel Crack. I grew up on dos games. Blocky pixel art gives me happy feels. Making my own pictures look like those games is the best thing ever.

All good except one thing. I would like to suggest a no style option for when I take or insert a photo, because I would like to see the the original colors from the photo i took or chose.

Perfect style to use in video game. I’ve been slowly working on a visual novel and needed an art style that was quick and easy to produce but iconic. This was the perfect fit. The only problem I have with this app is that images I put on with a transparent background are automatically given a background, which is annoying to constantly go back and remove in another program. Otherwise, this app works wonders to make my project happen. Don’t know where I’d be without this app. 10/10.

Can’t keep original colours. I love the app but its annoying that even on pro the colours cant be reverted to the original hue like the glitch app. Otherwise very worth it.

I love this app!. I have recently become reacquainted with the nostalgic pixel art games from my childhood and am currently loving the Stranger Things, Thimbleweed Park and Crossy Road games. This app allows you to create such interesting visuals! I can’t stop photographing my Christmas tree! One hope for a future update would be that the “big” pixel setting in the pro version actually looked different to the “small” pixel setting. Would be great to be able to see an image turned into a simple 8x12 pixel image. Selfishly I want this as a way of creating custom patterns for Hama Bead art ☺️😉

I use it every day. I have been playing with the app for several months and really enjoy its spot-on retro aesthetic. I love using its new ability to add filters to videos already in the phone’s photo library. I’m not sure what the video export resolution is, I wonder if it saves to 1080 or 4k? The only thing I might add is a recently used or favourite filter list.

I...don't know what to say.. Seriously! Every time you try to open the app, if you give it permission to access your camera it crashes! As well as doing the same if you give it permission to use your photos and then try to use one.Something tells me it's not because of the device that I am using, but if you want to know anyway I am using a iPad 4 more specifically model A1458.
