Easy and good app. For beginner

One design choice makes me sad, otherwise excellent. Props for a solid app. I’m sad I can’t switch the display back and forth between classical and simplified on any screen, whenever I feel like it. That would delight me beyond expressing.

Takes to long.. Because there is a level with 400 words😰🥵😥

Good. If there were a feature to look up words or copy into Pleco, that would be better. Especially with the large number of words in the upper levels.

Something fun for your practice. Love the interface and the fun of trying to pick out the characters among other similar ones. Challenging but not too stressful as these games can be.

Great refresher for review and practice!. Studied Chinese in college and this is a great way to review and practice what I learned long ago! Very motivating and displayed in a fun format. Hope to continue using the app for a long time.

Great way to learn characters-wish it was free. This is a fun way to review or learn your characters and have a few minutes here and there. It's only the bare minimum though so you must pay for most of the cards.

Good. I like this app to go along with my other Chinese studies. It could be better if there were a limit to how many wrong answers you could get before you just miss that one, and it tells you the right answer.

This App is a Breakthrough for Me. HSK Hero makes learning the characters, pinyin and vocabulary so much easier. I can use it throughout the day and keep learning and progressing. I live and work in China so I need to be able to read and talk! It is enjoyable and well worth 20 bucks!

Great App. Really good stuff

Soo close to Being great!. First- it’s worth the $20 if you are serious about learning the characters. The random and repetitious game style that carries you progressively through the HSK levels is a welcomed change of pace to normal flash card systems. However there is room for improvement. 1)When you get a character wrong, it blocks it out for you. It would be better to maybe fade it out instead but leave the character visible so you can reflect/compare your mistake with the correct choice. 2) If it would give you the choice to recycle through the ones you have missed at the end of each block, that would be great! 3)To have an option where you can touch each character after you have been graded and see a detailed definition of that specific character/radical would probably be the last piece of the puzzle to make this a 5 Star app.

Please refund my money. I just downloaded the app and played one level and when the level ended I wanted to go to the next level and the unlock all button came up I unknowingly clicked it not knowing that it’ll cost that much 🤦🏾 and my iPhone uses Face ID to pay so before I knew it boom they deducted the money from my mom’s card I never meant it.. please take all your privileges back and refund the money. Thanks

太贵 Too expensive for a simple app.. It is a useful app, I would buy it for $15USD or less. It is not worth the $39 purchase price.

Excellent training!. I really appreciate the fact that each level is connected to a HSK level. I improve my score by repeating the level until 100% accuracy!

Nice app!. I just downloaded this to check my level in relation to the words commonly seen on the HSK exam, and I really like the way it's set up. A little simple, but definitely a good tool to see what you know!

It’s a good app. This app is helping me to learn the words and find them in text as well. Why 3 Stars ? End of each study the app does not give you list of correct nor incorrect. Please consider this request. More review later as I use the app to improve my Chinese, stay tuned.

Best non-dictionary app for learning words, but…. This truly is a great app for learning vocabulary. Use it in conjunction with a good Chinese dictionary (I like Pleco). Only one complaint: it doesn’t work on my iPad Mini 6. How about it, tech support?

Definitely try it out. This is a pretty good tool to practice character recognition. It's very simple and could really shine with some improvements like a dictionary/breakdown feature. You need to buy the full pack to really make use of it, but I think it's worth the exercise if you want an alternative to flash cards. You can figure out if you want to buy it or not by playing the first few levels.

Another good language learning tool. I say 'good' because there is something lacking in this app. That said, using this in concert with Memrise, ChineseSkill, or other similar apps will help to round out your learning.

Solid addition to Chinese app tools. I found this more productive and easy to use for a quick dose of Chinese studying. Also, no sign in is required. It would be great if it allowed review of the missed items. The best part is it remembers where you left off.

Useful & fun!. This app (and earlier versions) have been keeping Hanzi study fun for me for years. Hardly a day goes by when I don't use it.

Loving the game format.. To echo some of the others here, the game format makes it user friendly and addictive, which is a plus when studying Chinese.

Good app. Suggestion: At the beginning, you breaking up in 25 for hsk1 and Hsk2. 50 for hsk3, 100 for hsk4, 200 for hsk5 and 400 for hsk6. 100, 200, 400 is too much for a daily session, i would appreciate to can split it in smaller part. That is the only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5.

Good learning tool!. I'm trying to learn Mandarin, which is obviously daunting. I'm using Pimsleur to learn spoken Mandarin and working through Alan Hoenig's excellent book, "Chinese Characters". This app is an excellent bridge between learning the spoken language and learning the meanings of the words by focusing on just RECOGNIZING the words. Nicely done! Well worth the $4.99!

Fun HSK test. Don't get much for free- but 4.99 seems fair to test Knowledge of HSK words. I loved the NCIKU app- but sadly it is gone and my test has a bug so it's unusable. I hope this can fill the void.

Great needs Hsk list of words. Learning on this app is a matter of clicking random characters if you don't know the words before hand. An HSK list in the app would be nice.
