Commercial Content. This is not so much a review of the app, it is well organized and works great with my Apple TV, as a review of the commercial content. I watch “The Zoo” faithfully with my kids and recently every commercial break is filled with divisive political ads and constant promos for sister network ID serial killer and murder true crime shows. For example the last promo asked a woman on the witness stand how she felt as she slit her lovers throat..... Not every show on animal planet is for family watching but it would be nice if the commercials were.

Animal Planet. Makes me feel right at home with Tarzan’s animal friends in action to be very adorable and shows how to bring unity and class a clarity to the senses to open up the world of love and natural forgiveness. That’s why it feels right at home.

I love it but. I love this app it’s awesome 👏🏻 good job! But 2 things that I personally hate 🙄is that you have to sign in to watch some shows and the last thing I hate is that there are soooo many adds! Sometimes there are 9 adds I think that there should always be 3 or 4 adds! That’s it for my request you should take it into consideration!🙏🏻🙏🏻😊

Shouldn’t have to pay twice. I pay cox cable an exhorant amount for cable and now I have to pay $4.99 and up if I miss a show or want to see one I used to watch but now I can’t because it’s on a streaming channel. This is too much!!! I’m on a fixed income, disability, and anyone who is trying to live on what they pay after you’ve worked your whole life and paid into it knows you don’t get enough to subsist on. My subscription with Cox is going to be canceled. I won’t pay them twice for the same thing, they rob you with their prices the first time around and now they try to get more out of you.

Love it!. The app is amazing!! I can watch all my favorite shows, plus other stuff! It has a big selection of shows, movies, documentaries etc. The only suggestion I would have is add some more shows!

Can’t get past home screen. I’ve watched Animal Planet on my iPad for a few years now... but this new app is giving me fits. 9 times out of ten when I launch it, it just sits there on the white page with the Animal Planet Go logo on a white screen and doesn’t progress to the home page or even a log on screen. I’ve deleted and reinstalled several times, and just can’t get it to work.😿

My Happy Place!. I am SO HAPPY for this app and the reminders it sends me! If I’m having a bad day at work I can view one of my comfort shows! Like all of them! They bring me home in my mind! I’ve been a fan since the beginning of the channel! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love the app, but hate the commercials!. My favorite show on animal planet is “Monsters Inside Me”. Not all the shows require you to sign in with your TV subscription. Luckily this show which is the only one I am drawn to watching is free if you download the app. All the seasons are free which is cool, but there is one drawback. Commercials!!! Commercials are a big reason I don’t watch TV. The commercials are long, not relevant to anything and they can’t be skipped! Bypassing commercials is the big benefit to installing the app. I will rate it one star because I really hate being interrupted by commercials.

Won’t let me link to my provider. For some reason the app won’t even bring up a list of providers for me to link with.

Too Many Ads. There are a lot of great shows and the app is very smooth, but I rarely watch anything on this app because the ads are so excessive. I know there needs to be ads to create revenue but if I watch a 40 minute show I will have to watch 4 separate chunks of 3 minute ads with a total of 12 minutes of ads. It would be much better it the ad breaks were shorter.

What I dislike. I LOVE being able to watch “PitBulls and parolees” or “the vet life” anywhere I go the most annoying thing to me is that they play commercials over and over again gets kind of annoying, I do understand that commercials can bring in more money, but to watch them over and over gets a bit irritating. Me and my boyfriend and my animals (snakes, dogs, cats and my lovely turtle) love to sit down at night on my bed and pick what we will watch for the night. So I rated it 4 stars because of the commercials. But other than that I love the app. Thank you! Convenient, but crashes all the time. I love this one app now gives me access to all my favorite Discovery + friends shows. It’s so convenient! However, the app crashes allllllll the time. Can’t get through an entire show without the app crashing and having to restart.

Absolutely awesome app!. The app is super easy to use and a great way to catch up on your favorite nature/animal shows no matter where you are. Not to mention there’s a large selection of content available to watch, and there’s something for every nature/animal enthusiast to enjoy!

Mislead. Well when I downloaded the app to watch a few of my favorite shows, I was excited! As I continued to the next season it, it said I had to sign into my tv provider in which I wasn’t exactly happy about that, I was bummed. I noticed that when you watch them on the internet they get stuck sometimes and I have to reload the page to get where I left off.

Love Animal Planet. I have grown up watching Animal Planet. My love of animals came from my grandfather. We always watched anything that had anything to do with animals. Now that I am grown and have my own family I have continued the tradition of watching anything with animals. The Animal Planet app makes it so easy to keep up with our favorite shows even when we are not at home. Thank You Animal Planet!💜💜

Not sure about this App. I love Animal Planet shows and whenever I happen to miss one I know I can come here to watch it. However, as many have pointed out, there honestly are just way too many commercials! It seems like every 5 minutes it’s time for another 5-6 commercials, which is ridiculous. One other thing that bothers me is the captions - I’m not sure if there is a way to turn them off or not, but so far I haven’t been able to figure out if it’s possible or not. I understand that some people need them, but you should have the option of having them or not. Personally, for me, I find them annoying.

Too many apps. So now there is MAX, Discovery +, HGTV Go, Food Go, etc. I have to search three apps to find where I can watch a show the next day???? LAME. Not only that, I have to pay two subscription fees because of the varience in shows residence yt others are on all theee platforms. to top it all off, I need to sign in to the Free on every week because why??? shot app service getting 1 star because I cannot leave zero

More Providers, Less Ads. I love being able to watch my shows, but wish I could watch more of them. Adding providers like DirectTVNow and YouTubeTV would be a great help. I don’t even have cable. The ads are quite annoying. I’m not saying get rid of all the ads, but maybe put less of them

Love watching old eps but the app itself is not great. Sometimes when I open the app it’ll remember me and I won’t need to log back on. Sometimes I have to log back in which is fine. But sometimes, I’m in the middle of the episode and I’ll hit back to look at another episode or whatever and it’ll ask me to log in again. What’s the most frustrating is that this will happen, then it’ll say this content is not included in my account, when I was JUST watching that show. I’ll have to log back out then in again and then sometimes it’ll work, sometimes I’ll have to do this and force close the app. It’s a little annoying, but hey I get to watch old episodes of my favorite shows so it is what it is. I also feel like there are some episodes missing, like from out bulls and paroles.

Stuck on loading screen. I was excited to use the app until i realized I am unable to. Every time I try to log in with my cable provider it gets stuck loading. I’ve tried closing the app and uninstalling/reinstalling the app many times and it still does the same thing and even gets stuck loading if I just close and reopen the app without hitting anything else. I really hope this issue could get fixed as I like how I can cast to the tv and love pit bulls and parolees.

Animals!. I love this app, it makes it easier to watch my favourite shows from my phone. The only thing I dislike is there are many commercials, sometimes they’ll be 3 ads and sometimes they’ll be 10 ads. But overall I still love it!

Love it but a few tweaks. I absolutely love this app I can watch almost all my favorite shows. The reason I said almost is because you have to sign into your tv provider to watch some some shows . And that isn’t fair . I like a show called My Cat From Hell . And I can’t each it because of that . And the adds ! I am sure everyone hates those 😡! But besides those the app is amazing and and awesome and I highly recommended it. 👍👍👍 And it is a good app to learn about your furry , feathery and scaly friends . It might be a bit of a sat show but I recommend pit bulls and parolees. I also recommend my cat from hell 🐈🐈🐈. If you are looking to be a wild life vet or you want to own a zoo I would recommend Chicky it’s the Arwens

Why so many ads. Seriously why so many ads… I mean really in my opinion, there shouldn’t be five minutes worth of ads. You get like six minutes of the actual video and then you get five minutes of ads. Wrong

constantly freezes. Iwill be watching a show and when ad appears, the ads will freeze. Had one episode where ad appeared and didn’t start playing for another 40 minutes. Spent countless hours watching shows only to have the ads constantly freeze to the point of force quitting the app and still the freeze continues no matter what internet provider I use. This app is just as bad if not worse than discovery go. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Love the zoo, vet and game warden shows!. I love animals and how they interact with each other and people, and seeing caring people helping each other and animals. I also love to learn new things. These shows give me a chance to do all of this without having to put up with the gratuitous violence, hatred and all round unpleasantness of many other shows.

I like but.... I like the app but I don’t like all the ads and that you have to sign in and all of that since we don’t have one because we watch the net master so if you could get rid of them so then we don’t have to login that be amazing and I highly recommend the show too cute

I couldn't be happier!!. I grew up with Animal Planet, and now I can watch the shows I loved the most whenever I want. Dogs101 is my favorite show of all-time!! The show introduced me to my biggest passion at a very young age, and I hope to own a dog ranch for disabled and senior dogs after college. I'm currently a junior in high school and my passion has grown to the point where I know so so much about my four-legged friends!! Thank you for bringing the show to mobile devices!! My senior puggle just turned 11 today. Prilli has a long road ahead of her, and I plan on giving her the best life she can have!! I'm so glad I get to re-watch Dogs101 whenever I like. It brings so much nostalgia and it's great. And I'm so so happy that Monsters Inside Me has returned!!! I missed it so much!!

Won’t use anymore. Used to love this app but now we will never use it because you feel the need to advertise true crime and murder shows as the commercials. If I wanted to see that stuff I would be watching ID not animal planet. Not stuff I want my kids seeing and not something that I want to watch before bed which is when we used to watch animal planet. Completely different demographics so I would highly consider changing your commercials.

Too many annoying ads. I love Animal Planet with all of my heart and The Vet Life, Scaled, and My Cat From Hell are pretty much my favorite shows right now but the app ads are far worse than the repetitive ads on the AP channel. I would love to give a 5 star rating if the number of ads was limited from 6-8 to maybe 3 or 4 that vary in some way. I understand the profits from airing commercials but there has to be some other way. Please Animal Planet please do something about these terrible ads.

Can’t get it to work. I love the shows on animal planet a lot but when I was binge watching a show it was working fine until I took a 10 minute break and then every time I tried to get it back on it said that I could only watch the show if we were paying for it on our tv provider, which we were so now I can’t watch the show and it won’t let me change settings or give me any information about why it could be doing this.

Waste. I downloaded the app but on my phone it shows me shows for the Discovery Channel, so the show I want is not a selection. On my iPad it shows the Animal Planet, which is correct. When I try to watch a particular show on my iPad, it prompts me to login so I do. I click on the show I want to unlock it and I’m taken to a login again. It’s an endless loop of logins. I can watch this show live when logged into the Spectrum app but I can’t login to the Animal Planet to save my life. This app is pathetic.

Mostly Ads. What a pity! Great content, ruined by 1000 commercials for one show. (not exaggerating by much) The app keeps freezing, then restarting the commercials...25 ads for a commercial break seems a bit excessive. When the ads are longer than the show, it’s totally out of control. I would pay to get rid of them. Like someone else said I will not be buying from these advertisers. If the ads have the opposite effect, they will stop!

Great App but operating issues. Love the app, and all the shows it has to offer. Wish it had more Crocodile Hunter episodes. One problem I have with the app, is it wouldn’t allow me to log into my Tv provider for over 6 MONTHS!! Just now I’m able to FINALLY log in and watch the shows I love. Great app with even greater shows, has some serious operating issues though.

Why 12 and up??. I’m only 11 and I LOVE watching Monsters Inside Me. I wanted to get the mobile app, but the rating is 12 and up. I have restrictions on my iPad, and the person who put the restrictions on is in a different state, and is very busy with her work. I don’t have this app, soo, please make this at least 9 and up. I’m sure others have this problem and we would love if you please fix it..

The Freaking Commercials!!!!. I get it you need to pay for content. Couldn't you do it more like regular TV. I’m not able to look at the commercials on this app, because it’s the same commercial over and over again. I don’t watch as much just for that reason. Step-u p you’re game Animal Planet and all your sister stations there should be an algorithm for getting to the individual customer with variations so customer doesn’t feel like they’re being club to death. Please update the TV Provider list!!!. I had been watching Pitbulls and Paroles for about a month and I loved how easily I could watch it on my phone. But recently my family changed our TV provider to Sling TV. I would really appreciate it if you updated the provider list so I can use the app once more!

I love it. I love animal planet because I like animals and I like that I can watch so many show about them like them getting happy homes or save or seeing their story’s so hopefully u guys can start adding more new ones soon.😄❤️🐶🐱🐰🐺

Ads on repeat. The app is great other than the fact that they will play the same advertisement 8 times in a row. That’s not an over exaggeration, either. I’m fine with ads, but when I memorize the script for the advertisement in one episode, that’s ridiculous. Change up the ads if you’re going to put an -/8 ad count at the top. No one wants to sit through 8 of the same ads.

Can’t get past home screen. The app has been reliably working for me and Unlocking shows by connecting automatically to my tv provider. However, now it prompts me to login with my password and user name to my TV provider. When I attempt to login I get stuck and all I see is a blank white box that never loads any content. I have tried restarting my iPad uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times and nothing has resolve this issue!

Loud Commercials. I enjoy many Animal Planet programs, am willing to put up with what seems like more commercials than normal, and would have given this app 5 stars except for one hugely annoying "feature": when some of the commercials come on they become extremely loud. I mean seriously loud enough to become a nuisance to others. I note the commercials because I will make certain that I never buy their product or service. Can't something be done? I don't have this problem with other apps - just Animal Planet GO so I know it's something specific to Animal Planet.

Lots of content, lots of ads. You’d think an app would encourage a network to provide a better consumer experience than the traditional option (cable tv), yet the ad load is almost worst on the app. I’ve yet to make it through a full hour episode of any show because the ad load is unbearable and repetitive. I’d rather spend my time elsewhere. In general, the app is designed wonderfully and I love all the content that’s available (multiple seasons). Fix the ad load, and I’ll login more.

Amazing. I love animal planet and have been watching it since I was a kid. But when I found out there was an app I was thrilled. Then I see the reviews and most aren’t great. I don’t mind adds or commercials but if they are too long I get frustrated. I think the makers of this app read the reviews often and help people with adds or their app freezing up or something.

Kicks me off??. Every time I go into the app it tells me to sign in again! I don’t personally know the password to our cable because my dad keep it private so every single time I wanna watch animal planet I have to go and have my dad refill in all the information so I can sign in. Even though I’ve signed im dozens of times before?? The ads also get on my nerves. I would honestly get less ads just watching animal planet on cable. Why so many? Every 5 minutes I get like 5-6 ads and it takes a lot of time?

Long Commercial Breaks. The app itself runs well, and it’s great to be able to catch up on shows I’ve missed, as well as watch other shows that I haven’t seen yet. One huge downside is the length of the commercials. Every show has multiple commercial breaks, and those breaks can sometimes be over 3 minutes long. It’s excruciating! Another complaint I have is that sometimes it will log you out of your service provider, and you have to go through the entire login process again. That’s more of a minor annoyance, but the commercials are really bothersome.

I pay for this channel, but I can’t sign in!. I pay for this channel, but I can’t sign in! I’m able to watch live tv on my television, but I can’t sign in to the app. I’ve tried it on all my devices. I know that my password and email is right because it lets me sign into other app that ask for my tv provider. My tv provider is spectrum. The only problem is with the animal planet app. I would highly appreciate if it got fixed. Thank you!!!! I will be waiting patiently because I really love watching this channel on the go.

Great app but needs a skip ads button. I love the app I use it almost every night but needs a skip adds button because I’m watching my show and bam 10 commercials show up you guys really need to ad a skip adds button

Wth!?!?. So I originally had a issue where animal planet app told me I never had a account when I did. I made a post and the support told me to delete and redownload. Well now every single day when I try to use the app it gives me a red key even though I’m logged into my tv provider and it tells me I don’t have any authorization to use this app and then I have to delete it and redownload it to work. Its freaking annoying to do every single day when I just want to relax and watch the shows. They need to fix this issue and quick. I have looked up fixes for my end and everything I see is that it’s on their end. I enjoy the app when it does decide to work that once a week and it has all my shows I like but I’m about to tell everyone to avoid using it at this point

One animal lover. This is an excellent app because if you love animals you can pick and choose which one you want to see the quality of watching these videos on this particular app is even better

Great if you love commercials. Ok I really like a couple of animal planet shows. However, its a couple minutes of show then several minutes of commercials. The same commercials over & over & over. Couldnt tell you how the episode went but I can list from memory what products I wont be buying. I already pay for the tv service. I already pay for the data I use to watch the tv service i pay for. Why the heaven help ya am I paying all that just to watch commercials over & over & over & over. Yup Im done.

Freezes every few minutes. Downloaded it to try watching Cat vs Dog, and I can't even get through the first five minutes of the show. I've reinstalled twice, had to not log into my cable account as I couldn't open the app (server doesn't exist apparently after you do that), and then have to close the app or reset my phone after a minute of watching. Each time I reopen, I get the joy of watching ads. It's not worth it.

Love and hate. Absolutely love this channel and the shows it provides however I don’t have a TV Provider. I’d be more then willing to subscribe to this alone to be able to watch the locked episodes but that’s not available.

Animal planet review. Great to be able to watch programs that are mostly positive instead of watching the news or goofy sit cons while at the gym. Thanks for providing something positive!

Watching anything?. I TRY to watch live and all of my favourite shows only to be booted off the channel completely. They have commercials that interrupt the show cutting off sentences and then an on screen note saying the show is not available to view. This is all very frustrating. I love this channel but please fix at least some of the issues!!!!

The best. This is the best app ever! If you love animals like me then u will love this app! There are no flaws! U just put in your tv provider and then u can watch whatever u want!

Too many commercials!. I love the content. However having to endure 6 commercials every 10 minutes is just excessive. I pay for the television subscription so I feel that I shouldn’t be subjected to free content like advertising. If I watch a show on you tube I am not forced to watch as many commercials. You are better off watching the shows on your television.

Crashes. I love Animal Planet and the shows it offers. However from my app whenever I click to watch a show the app crashes. I’ve done everything I can think to troubleshoot... uninstall/reinstall, sign out and back in, disconnect from wifi, connect to WiFi, close app out all the way. Everything. Nothing works.

75% ads. Waste of time. This app has commercial breaks that last up to seven minutes long. Eighteen minutes into a show and three commercial breaks is a waste of time. I’ve tried for several days to watch one show and fall asleep every night during a long boring commercial. None of these ads is relevant to my household

Freezes constantly. I use the app to cast to my chrome cast an with out fail during every episode I try to watch, it will freeze and I will have to restart the app and try to find where I was in the episode all over again. Eventually I just give up. Pls help!

Nude woman in commercial. I’m watching Secret life of the Zoo with my 8 year old and your commercial just had a nude woman in it and my kid asked me why she was naked! I didn’t see the add but I heard the man say something to the effect of “I love shooting people in the head”. It’s a TV-PG show with an inappropriate add mixed in! Real nice, so glad I tried to watch something that wasn’t garbage with my kid, only to have garbage be in the commercials that I can’t fast forward through.

Great app but two requests. Can you add season 3 of infested and season 1 of monsters inside me? Because neither one are available to watch

Can you please fix this?. So I love this app its great but recently every time I try to open it, it’ll show a white screen with the logo and then immediately exit back out of it again can you please fix this?

Too many re-logins required. I absolutely hate that I have to re-login with my provider information every couple of days. Probably the most annoying thing ever! Also, please add support for Dish! I’m lucky enough to have a family member with a DirectTV subscription who will share their login info with me so my daughter can watch her favorite Animal Planet shows.

Missing my TV provider. It’s good, I love it and all but it is missing my TV provider so I cannot sign in sadly. I have DirectTVnow so it would be great if you could add that in with you list of hundreds and millions of TV providers, also the adds are extremely long and I understand you need adds but make them shorter please, anyway that’s all I got to say

Those ads!. Well you get to watch great show but the basically run the same ads over and over again during the same show. It gets very annoying!

It couldn’t be better!. This app is the best app for tv! But thar is way two many adds! Still you SHOULD TOTALLY GET THIS APP! If you do get this you should watch “Treehouse masters” and “tanked” but if you are in to how to save some animals then you should watch “the vet life.”

All Animal Lovers. This app is great for all animal lovers and I am pretty sure they will have the right show for almost any animal lover. I love cats and they have plenty of cats. They have such a wide range of animals that you will fall in love. I hope you love the app:)

Guess what animal planet!. I’m Going To The Place Where The Aquarium is! I love being at Georgia aquarium I’ve been there once this is my second time! I love watching animal planet! If I ever see one of you there I might say hi!

Too many commercials. The content is good, just like the channel. I swear there are way more commercials in the app than even during the regular shows. I do appreciate that it gives you a countdown of commercials (“1 of 6” or “1 of 8”), but it’s a lot of added up time in each show.

Can’t see all episodes. Love the app and I really love that I can watch My Cat From Hell, BUT when I select the season only 3 episodes are available... on my laptop all the episodes are available- just an observation. Where are the rest of the episodes?

Needs development to fix minor bugs. Lot of little bugs with this app. Repeats same commercials. Shows add number you are on even if you are back to watching show. Just needs a little more development to fix some of these bugs.

Kind of works. I do not have direct tv but I do have a direct tv now account, for a while I could use my direct tv now info and unlock episodes, now they will not unlock with my direct tv now info. If I wanted a TV account I would have stuck with DISH network, they are better just no streaming only.

The commercials/ads are RIDICULOUS!!. There are far to many commercials in this app. I get to watch 5 minutes if that of an episode then have to sit through 7 to 8 full commercials. I have better things to do. Please rethink this cuz I really enjoy the shows and would like to continue watching them.

Welcome back commercial land. Hope you love your shows. We saw the same Nissan commercial 5 times in a row and there were still more commercials after that. So glad the beginning seasons are on a lot of our shows. Still some are way behind but happy to get more options.

Won’t let me watch anything. I have tried to watch a couple videos but the key sign won’t go away and I have signed into my tv provider five times and it still won’t let me watch ant and after I sign into the tv provider it doesn’t change the key symbol or anything it won’t let me watch my favorite shows devs please help

So great to be able to catch my shows while away!. The episodes so far have been great. Play smoothly. I do wish they would cut back on the commercials though. They cut into the time that I have to watch when away.

Payment?????. I love animal planet. Especially finding Bigfoot. Episodes and seasons used to be free and I could watch anytime since my direct tv hasn’t been working. Now I have to pay for the shows I love and we’re once free. It’s one for discovery plus to have payment but come on animal planet. I hate this new setup. It’s ridiculous.

Add Dish as a Provider?. I love animal planet, and when I found out there was an app I was super happy! Soon after I downloaded It I went to unlock all episodes but then I saw that my provider,Dish, wasn’t on the list. Maybe add Dish as a provider soon?

Just wish there was more unlocked content. I understand new stuff being unavailable, but could we have 5 year old seasons?

Love Animal Planet!. Animal Planet has many of my favorite shows. “Pitbulls and Parolees” and “ Amanda to the Rescue” are my two favorites that are airing now. I am a true animal lover and appreciate the variety of shows that you offer.

I agree with pit bulls and parolees. Dear Doggieloveer I love pit bulls and parolees but I can’t watch it because of signing in and the shows are locked so I just watch it on my tv if this app doesn’t work I’m getting rid of it! So If I were nat geo on the go I suggest you start fixing the app!! 😡😔🤯😤🥺😭

Animal planet app. I love animal planet. I grew up loving animals and this app makes it easy for me to watch on the go. My only problem is how there is sometimes eight adds during the episode. Other than that it is a wonderful app.♥️

WTH. y did u guys remove "Ghost Asylum" and "Haunted Towns"!?!? i was watching those. i live in TN which is where these shows r based. please put them back on n maybe ill rate higher. if not then ull lose stars. they were really the only reason i got the app tbh.

I love animal planet but…. I grew up watching animal planet, so when the app came I knew I had to get it. I was kinda disappointed too see that there are so limited show that are free. The shows I grew up watching are not even on the app

Don’t like close captions. I like to watch the episodes without the annoying closed captioned each time they speak. I went to the app settings does not have the option to turn it off. My iTunes movies are doing the same thing. Please fix the app so I can turn it off. Thank you.

Discovered while hospitalized. During a long, painful hospital stay, I found Animal Planet and I was hooked! But what to do? Download Animal Planet GO to my iPad and binge watch my favorite shows, of course. And I don’t even mind the mini commercials.

Almost perfect. I don’t know who is responsible for the commercials (app or cable provider), but I can’t stand watching the same commercial five times in a row. I get that we have to watch them, but seriously...
