Stunning but be careful. I submitted some photos I took with my iPhone 11 just for fun. A few got a lot of views. The app is great for sharing pictures and seeing others photos, but be careful. There are guys on this app that will become your best friend, tell you what you want to hear just so they can try to scam you. I had someone try saying they were in the British army in Yemen. Saying he needed money to get out. I didn’t fall for it. Just be careful who you are friends with.

Great idea, poor execution. The app is terrible. So many glitches and bugs. I love the premise of it, and I have found the content inspiring and motivating, but I have to use the desktop site if I want things to work properly. I would rather use an app on my phone, but this app has too many things that don’t work right. The options can get a little overwhelming too… There is just a lot on the site to navigate… But I am having fun with it. We’ll see if my interest in it can be maintained. It would help if the app developers resolved so many of the ongoing issues.

Great App & Site. Just wish I could edit pic titles.... This is a fun app and site. Can even sell pics through it, to a point. Inspirational pics can be viewed here, to help give ideas as to what is working in the marketplace even. Not to mention, ideas for techniques to showcase your own take on the world. The supportive community aspect is nice, since you do want feedback from your peers, which usually is positive, but can also be of the constructive kind on occasion. Very satisfied with the app and site. Highly recommend!

Missing a few things.. Cannot access my inbox from the app, so if someone leaves you a comment you will have to view it on the browser. Challenges are nowhere to be found on the app. You can absolutely find contests, but not challenges. Challenges can only be found on the browser. Peer awards; the only ones I can give using the app are the premium ones. Really? What if I feel the photograph is worthy of a virtuoso award? As of about a week ago I cannot leave comments on photos, unless I’m signed in on the browser.

Like the app and layout BUT,. Nice app beautiful images and inspiring photographers. I brought the 40$ a year membership the most expensive and can’t give peer awards? At least in the phone app. The naming structure isn’t clear premium, pro, editor? What are the differences would help for what someone would like to do.

Thanks!. One of the key elements of ViewBug I embrace is the originality of the photos. Learning about lighting, portraits landscapes, etc. just phenomenal photographers from all over the world. Newest update crashes?. In this day and age, it really reflects poorly on a company and its developers when a new update we’re expected to install consistently crashes the app. I updated Viewbug a couple days ago and now the app crashes regularly when I’m perusing. I was already lamenting the fact, as others have stated, that the Viewbug app only has about half the functionality of the website. Now, when an update renders the app useless, what’s the point? I have in nstalled the ViewBug app, reinstalled it, rebooted my iPhone, and it still does not work correctly. Either this will get fixed very soon, or I’ll end up deleting the app permanently, as this is highly disappointing. Have you guys performed quality assurance before your update release? Do you need help testing? I’ll gladly assist with user testing, otherwise with a release like this, you’re expending valuable resources inefficiently.

I❤️ViewBug. I really do love ViewBug...I don’t use it often enough but when I do, I am inspired. I’m definitely an amateur but I’ve been told that I have a good eye for composition etc. Since I use my iPhone for just about everything, instead of my laptop, I also use it to take photos. The ViewBug mobile app is easy to use on almost every level; but it’s not perfect. When I get emails from ViewBug telling me someone left me a message, there is no way to view that email on the app on my iPhone. Also, the editing options have changed and offer less choices to improve or to inspire to be more creative when I download a photo. I really have no complaints about the app, other than the two items I just mentioned. You know, there are other photography sites and, I admit, I’ve tried a couple of them, but none compare to ViewBug, in my humble opinion. I find ViewBug easy to use, easy to navigate and I enjoy hearing comments and suggestions from ‘real’ photographers and other amateurs that are more experienced than I am. Thanks ViewBug!!

Such a cool community for photographers. After having a ViewBug profile for a few years I’m finally getting around to leaving a review. This has been one of my favorite apps to submit my photos as it not only has a lot of contests but also doubles as a social media platform. Definitely give this app a try if you take photos, it’s totally free to enter a handful of contests!

Not a photo app if you can't upload a photo. Don't get me wrong, this is a good app. Offers lots of opportunities to submit photos to photo contests. Great community of people but in order for a photo app to work you have to be able to upload your photos. ViewBug's upload method works about 30% of the time for me. If you upload from Instagram it automatically crops it to a square, which was good for when Instagram was square only but it isn't anymore. Update the import method and this could be a great community based app for amateur and professional photographers alike.

SPAM that will never let you leave.. This app is the highest form of spam. After ditching the app because I didn’t like anything about it (contests rigged, favoritism, etc.) and unsubscribed from emails I still get them all the time. And even though I always unsubscribe AGAIN I still get emails. Not to mention those emails are spam. They say things like “congrats your photo was chosen in a competition! You have won probably a contest so log in now and see your photo! If you have not uploaded any photos do so now to win” or something like that. I’d send a screenshot if I could because it was so terrible. Never ending “you’ve won” or “you’ve been chosen” emails that are just general copy and paste emails sent to everyone. Quit it ViewBug. I don’t want anything to do with you but you won’t leave me alone, a pest.

Great concept...needs to fix bugs.. For someone who is an amateur photographer, I really loved this app. There were videos you could learn from and the professional photography community was very helpful in giving advice on how to improve. There were a few bugs that were kind of annoying but that happens in any app. I was unable to get notification/read messages through the app, I was unable to put up a profile picture, and I’m unable to delete my app. The directions it gave to delete it only helped me unsubscribe from pro status. I still have not found a way to delete my account. Other than that the app was great.

I love View Bug. It is far better than most other online photo contests.. These photo contests don’t rely on the Chemical addiction we all have to receiving “likes”. You can get them and give them but it isn’t what decides the winner or the amount of exposer you get. Some think it isn’t right that you must purchase an account to participate in more contest, but the contests are fair with actual judges. I feel that paying for the member is ship far better than the in app purchases other sights have that make even one “free” challenge actually cost $50 bucks. Not being able to get online for a week doesn’t lessen your chances of recognition or even a win. The app really does need some work. There are things that can only be done online. That makes it hard to run a challenge or see 100% of the available features. However I love the being a member of ViewBug.

Love the VIEWBUG service, but the app is limited…. I would give the VIEWBUG service 5-star rating. But the app does not allow viewers to see NSFW images, even though users can specify whether or not they want that. So, for fine art photographers or others that may occasionally post Nude images, the audience for your work is SEVERELY limited for those users using the app versus a web browser. I have addressed this concern with VIEWBUG and they blame Apple App Store policies.. However, that excuse does not ring true when one looks at other apps like VIEWBUG WRT photos.. Although there are many users who enjoy VIEWBUG using a web browser, you have to wonder how many people will never see NSFW content because they use the app only.. Just providing this for your info.

Please fix the bugs!. Since I have downloaded this application I’ve been experiencing many bug issues. For example , whenever I was trying to “like” or to “reward” someone’s photo I wasn’t able to do so no matter how many times I was pressing on the “heart” or on the “star” buttons. Sometimes the number of likes/rewards on my photos were changing every day although there was no activity. Other times the number of likes/rewards were less even though I was getting more notifications on them for a particular photo. Also when I changed the password (25 times) for my account it never worked (!) and I had to log in through my email address. And when in the settings I turned off receiving any notifications at all on my device I was still receiving them randomly and etcetera...

Great community, shame about the app. The community of photographers at Viewbug is fantastic. Excellent professionals all around, posting photos, sharing insights, and generally being supportive of one another creates an amazing sense of community that is integrated and wholesome. Shame the same can't be said about the app. Viewbug's app is, for lack of a better term, busted. Basic functionality like being able to view your likes and comments is missing, constant crashes will dump you out to the main screen with zero warning, and simple things like accessing your private messages is so broken you might as well just do it on the website. Until the app is fixed, these issues will persist and continue to cripple what would otherwise be an outstanding experience. At this point, I simply cannot recommend it.

Can’t use it without Facebook. Originally I signed up via Facebook but do not want to use that way anymore. However, I can’t use the app to do some things because it wants me to log into Facebook. I get emails telling me a photo has been selected for contests or other things, but I can’t view that info on the app, only through Facebook. And it won’t let me create an account without using Facebook. I also wanted to delete my account but it won’t let me do that either. It is a very frustrating app.

Stumbled upon this site last night and I'm loving it so far !. Just joined this site last night, and I gotta say I'm loving it so far! Photography has been a true passion of mine, I'm no professional, barely even an amateur ( what's below amateur hehe) but this site doesn't make me feel insecure or intimidated by lack of professional equipment, knowledge, or editing software in fact quite the contrary. Anyone can join and enter contests regardless of level, and I really think that's great. It offers information for beginners, wanting to learn more, and many different contests, to test all the different aspects of photography. I think it's a great site for beginners and professionals alike. I feel the contest categories are great to inspire beginners to go out and try something they may not have considered! From my experience so far I give this site 5 stars ! I would highly recommend to photographers of all walks and fans of photography alike .

I enjoy VB.... I have been using the free version of View Bug for a few years now. I do enjoy all the features it does have to offer for a free version I am on disability so being on a budget limits me to what contests I can join. Hopefully at some point I will be able to experience all that it has to offer. The one thing that I would like to see change maybe open up a few more contest those of us who are unable to get a premium version for what ever the reason.

Submission. I love ViewBug but I find myself using Guru more for the fact I am not limit on the number of photo can submit, I add my photos to my file so they are available to me and for others to rate as I enjoy the feed back however if I reach my 10 limit for the week I can’t even join contests and that to me seems a bit unfair.

A nurturing place. Photography like playing piano has always been a dream of mine. This site lets you try out your images on others and provides gentle feedback to give perspective on your works. The forum let’s you post your amateur pics along side real pros. This is so inspiring and gives true direction. Also I just bought a portable piano keyboard!

Mobile app layout. I like the app it’s really cool and everything just one problem I have is that there is no way to view your messages in your inbox on the app, where as if I go through the browser on my mobile device there is a way to manage you messages. Is there ever going to be an update that is similar to the browser version because it’s really annoying having to keep logging in the see messages when I have the app but it’s not on there please FIX THIS!!!!!

Email spam. I got the app a while back, and didn’t like it too much, so I uninstalled it. A week later I got emails from view bug saying I got several awards. I don’t know how this would have happened since I deleted my account. I supposedly deleted my account and unsubscribed from their email list several times, yet I still get emails. This app is basically a huge money grab and they’re desperate for some reason to make people stay using the app. Would not recommend to download.

Very limited & LAME. This app is extremely limited compared to the website. I don’t understand how a design could feel so limiting. The buttons lead to almost nothing and there’s hardly anything you can do with this app compared to the actual webpage. A total redesign is called for because there needs to be better overall functionality!!!! This app is lame. There’s nothing to engage you, always says there’s messages but there isn’t any in the inbox. Contests are mostly for paid users (not paying to provide my work to you- sorry) It’s just a lame design.

Love viewbug, not a fan of the app. Viewbug is very helpful to keep me motivated and inspired and I’m on all the time, online! The app lacks a lot of features and the absolute WORST part is that if you upload from Lightroom mobile to the app it labels everything as an iPhone photo and doesn’t let you change the camera and other photo meta data. I know it’s not life or death but it really bugs me that my film photos are all labeled taken with iPhone.

Haha I’m an amateur.. I like to take photos. I’m obviously not a pro, but I’m not a beginner. That’s why I look for a phone app to post my work and not try to make it a ‘full time job’ like half of my graduating class. This app unfortunately only ‘rewards’ the pros. If you’re a beginner there is literally no chance to do anything significant with your photos. If your photos are even half-way-decent they will be categorized with ‘Angela’ and her awful iphone pics of her kids and half-dead plants on her over priced patio. Anything better will be looked over for the photo on the accounts that people pay for. Really, just not a good app for anyone that cares about photography past their phone app and filters because it will make you feel bad and degraded.

Say what you will. Say what you will about this app, the contests are fun and you don’t always need the subscription I get by just fine with the free app. I’ve been using this app for about a year now and it’s fun and great way to get more tips on photography and connect with other photographers. I contacted customer services with questions regarding the “daily stats” as well as the contests and awards. They got back to me within 30 mins. Great app with great staff!

Wonderful!. Stumbled upon this site through the instagram giveaway. Found out it was an app, I love the simplicity of it and the contests that give away expensive cameras and gear is awesome. 5 stars for all that. The only thing I don't enjoy is paying for premium, it's only 899 or whatever a month but still there is so much you can do with basic account that there is no need to upgrade at the moment. Excited to see where this app and company goes as it grows.

If Photography is Your Thing. View Bug is free to use in a limited- but still worthwhile. Currently they are running a special. You can join for under $5 a month, this is also very worthwhile, and a great value for a serious photographer. . If you feel you only need the limited membership you can switch back after a month.

completely messed up company. over the last couple years of using ViewBug, I’ve had multiple problems that go for days to week plus unresolved and my latest is a week long now and all I get is the runaround from this platform trying to say that it’s my Internet provider check different Internet services. My widget is completely gone I can’t re-install it it shows that it’s still on my phone but it’s not I can’t get past there check in screen I can’t even see my own account any longer. I guess it works for some people but for me having to go through issues 1 to 2 times a year and get a hold of their tech-support or try to via email is a waste of time! I have a paid pro account, which I will not partake in when my renewal comes up simply because my app no longer shows up on my phone nor is usable so auto renew is shut down, and I will have to find a new way to share my photos as Instagram is basically tick-tock and it’s a Zuckerberg product which is garbage as well but he has the market cornered. But also, at least Instagram works all the time!!! truly sad app

Great way to store your photos and gain exposure while getting artistic feedback.. This app has some great pros but it’s share of cons. The format that truly liked at the onset, has changed rapidly the last 6-8 months and much not to my personal liking. The reason i paid a mid-range fee was to store some of my better artistic pieces, and get other photographers input/critiques. The only source they give you to edit on here, is almost useless imo and should be upgraded for the few paid to join. I have met some lovely men and women both on this site, a few i would say are now friends so that was an unexpected bonus!

Awards. This app has many photography challenges and contests. Members get to create photography challenges for their peers which is a great way to be involved and not just be a photographer. They keep innovating and that something that I like because it means that they're putting a lot of thought into always keeping it fresh. I am not sure why on this last update I cannot see awards on my photos whether their pre-existing or just giving.

Love this app and the community!. I’ve been a member of ViewBug for a long time and started using their app about a year ago. I really enjoy being able to look at other photographers work while waiting in line or waiting on dinner in a restaurant. It’s so inspiring! Keep up the great work, ViewBug! You have a customer for life!

Worthless app!. I understand my type of photography isn’t appealing to everyone, that’s fine, but 3 likes in a whole year. The insulting part is 300 hundred DM’s about how awesome my images are. The community there is retarded, no growth, no real interactions, just dead. The part that really enrages me is I tried numerous times to delete my account and was lead on a wild goose chase. The directions send you to parts of the app and website that don’t exist. My advice—don’t waste your time with this one. It’s so bad they have to hide the delete button to keep you.

Satisfied member. I have been a member at the pro level for several years and have really been happy with ViewBug. I’ve been developing my skills to go Pro by next year. My skills would never have met the requirements to do Pro work if I hasn’t gotten the feedback from other ViewBug members and taken advantage of all the tutorials. ViewBug rocks!

Viewbug app. The home page dumps me right into photographers pix I'm not interested in. You force me to look at your suggestions. If I daw a select bar suggesting visiting your choices that would be fine. My opinion is the home page should be an attractive list of menus and choices that I choose to maneuver through because I love Viewbug. I use Safari to open the REAL viewbug most of the time.

Just my opinion on View Bug. I give it a 5 star rating for the content and display of talent. However I am not impressed with the way to get points. Which brings my review to a 3 Everyone like everyone as many as they can and award as many pictures as possible just to get your own points. Sort of a letdown. I would really like to see real criticism good and bad. Not just get as many points as possible. Reminds me of Facebook in the beginning, people racing to get as many “friends”as possible. Contests are good, prizes seem to be fair. I still enjoy the works very much.

Great. the systems customer support is so automated its atrocious. I've been trying to renew my Domain for 2 weeks now and have yet to get my website back online and I'm just losing money everyday because of it. Other then those issues the interface is easy the app is well versed and the crowd of folk seem very nice. I just think they could simplify it and not have so many pointless things which are other arwas to go wrong. Put 10% to 10 things and make them perfect. When they are putting 1% to 100 or more things and yet all of them fall short from being correct or consistent. Work smart not hard.

A great place to view others work and share your own. Tons of artists on here talking beautiful pictures. You will find some real gems for sure! Comes with some simple editing tools to use before you upload a photo. Sharing is easy here with tags and more to get your stuff noticed.

Love this app. I love this app and how it gives me a chance to grow and share my photography.. the only thing is that since one of the updates i constantly have a notification saying I have a new message but don’t ever really have a message… either it’s invisible to me or it was there and then disappeared but never cleared out… if there is a way to fix it then awesome…. Otherwise I love the app.

Fun website. Terrible app.. Terrible communication between the website and the app. Emails from Viewbug don’t really correspond to...anything, at least anything relevant to your account and actual activity. “See if your pic won the blah blah blah contest!” when you didn’t even enter one of your photos in that contest. “Or see how your photo ranked this week...” When click on that it takes you to the website, and asks you to login. It doesn’t take you to the app you already have installed. That’s probably because the app has no relevant information either about title contest rankings either. It just tells you how many contests you’ve joined. Why even have the app? My cover photo on the app doesn’t match my cover photo on the website. My photo with 1.2K awards doesn’t even show up on the app. I’ll assume it doesn’t show up for people viewing my profile on the app either.

Superb photography Avenue. I have been a member for several years and I never cease to be amazed at the excellent photos and the support that is given from all level of photographers! At any level of participation you will benefit from the knowledge of other artists! Thank you for providing an incredible platform for photo buffs!

Fun idea but very buggy. I love this whole idea and have uploaded a few photos/entered a few contests, but every time I click to see which contests Ive entered, or click to view my “awards”/comments, or even click on stats the entire app just closes out. I literally cant do anything in the app other than upload and submit pics without the app closing on me. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it still does it. It’s to the point where I almost just want to delete it and find a different photo contest app. Please FIX this. Very frustrating.

Love the site, not so much the app.. The idea of this site is fantastic! Especially for beginning photographers. It's cool to be positively reinforced for work you think is awesome. However, I have two problems with the app: 1) I always have notifications, but when I open the app and go to my notification tab it never opens. This happens whether I'm in a spot with good service or poor service. And 2) apparently I won one of the contests a while ago, but I never received a notification. lol I found out over a year later when someone congratulated me on my win. lol so notification retrieval and actual notification of wins would be a good thing for them to work on. Other than that, I highly recommend this to all my friends and family who like to take pictures.

Found this by accident.. Found this app by accident, and have enjoyed using it ever since. As it gives me yet another creative outlet, for my photos as an armature photographer. Even though I have had a photo published in the 3M news letter, that was decades ago. So I still consider myself an armature photographer, even though I’ve been taking pictures for over 40 years.

I love it …… but …... I truly do love this app however, a lot of emails that I receive are misleading. The email sent from the app owners should be more direct and not like a batch email if you wanna buy my photo cool by my photo don’t have me click a link thinking you’re gonna buy my photo and it takes me to learn more about everyone else’s photos that’s all other than that. I love it.

Brings my passion to life. I started to love photography a couple years back and I had made an Instagram to see if people would be interested, but only family and people at my school knew about so it wasn’t good data. Then I came on here and even without a membership it has been a great learning experience and I have been able to see what people really do enjoy and look at other creators work. No one at school knows or has seen this profile and it doesn’t have my name in the profile. So I get amazing data on who actually likes my photography. Overall this app has brought my passion to life and be a great thing for me as a growing photographer.

Mad Review.. Hello, to anyone who is reading this” if you happen to see this app. Just know this my phone which is in fact an :I-phone 6 i guess is not compatible with this app, let me tell you why it crashes like crazy! It will not let me upload pictures or better yet change my profile in general and the app I only bought it because I wanted more social media to keep me entertained. But all I got out of the horrible app was flat out dissatisfaction. So if you are reading this just know and be aware of this problem, would NOT recommend to anyone. Thank you.

Sketchy company uses SPAM. I received an email that said "My name is Laura, content editor at viewbug. I saw your photos and would love to feature your work." I thought who are these guys and where did they get my email. I searched their system to reset my password and it says that I dont have an account. So they are buying email addresses from somewhere and sending unsolicited SPAM messages to get people to sign up and "try" their services. I can't support shady companies that are doing this. So I'm giving you a 1 star. I encourage everyone else to give this company a 1 star rating!

Ok app not great. This is an ok site to see other photographers work and ideas but not worth upgrading and giving your money and getting absolutely nothing more in return. With the amount of other photographers in this site around the world your chances of winning a contest is worse than the lottery

Excellent app!!. Excellent app, easy to navigate and simple to use. 😀 Using it for years, excellent for both learning and I’m proving your photography. Highly recommend the paid version to really get in the game, but the free app is great too.

Needs maintenance and regular updating. Great app if and when it works, crashes very often during scrolling or uploading. Very frustrating especially if you have nearly finished all details in regards to your upload. Another big and ongoing glitch for a long time the app is not syncing the inbox on the web based version so another time consuming and repeating task if you want to communicate with your fellow members. Landscape display is LONG overdue. Merlot

Finally!. Great to see ViewBug has finally gotten an app together. The downside I’m finding at the moment is I can’t access previously uploaded photos to add to contests meaning I still need to get onto my computer to enter contests.

Buyer beware. Do not get this app. You are signed up for an auto subscription and when you go to cancel it, the App does not let you. Competitions seem to have the same photos in them all the time. This site is more interested in the money and not the members. Avoid!!!!

Hard to track your entries. There no quick or accurate way to track your entries. Like and awards make little to no sense. The competitions all look great and the prizes are really good. Navigation of the app it poor and needs to be reviewed.

View bug. Love the challenge of taking photos, I have only just recently started, so I have a lot to learn, and looking at others photos does help.

Definitely something special. The app works well and awards are given by your peers. I absolutely love this app

No messages in app!?!?. Great app but seriously why can’t we view and reply to messages IN the app?!? It should be standard by now with any app that allows users to send messages.

Problems with app. Viewbug is awesome 👏 unfortunately the app crashes and exits to home page on my iPad 6th generation. Please fix this issues.

No message centre 🤦🏽‍♀️. Love the ideology, love the setup etc, do not at all like the lack of being able to get to messages! Having to switch back and forth between webpage and app makes app worthless! Come on guys!!!! Add another tab in notification section, yayyy done ✅ otherwise, good job

Pretty lit. 9/10 good app, don't like the fact when you confirm your email it automatically signs you up for a subscription 🤷🏼‍♀️

Fun app. Easy and fun to navigate.

Needs more functions on iOS. Challenges, Comments, Certain Notifications, In Depth Wall, Curator Access. These are some of the features that need to be added into the mobile app version. Some functions on the app are easier to navigate than the website, so it has its pluses and minuses.

Crashes. It crashes evertime I try and load a phot from my iPad, really annoying as I have just decided to give ViewBug another go!

Missing features of site. There are a few missing features that I think are needed: - see closing soon contests - challenges - marketplace - filter between current submissions, ranks, completed contests, etc. Love the site, the app is just ok.

....rubbish on iPad. IMHO I hate apps that are only developed form the iPhone and the developer expects that an iPad user should put up with the same 'portrait' format...... I would be sure that the developer would complain about other apps that only have development for the iPhone...why should they think that we would be happy to put up with it when they wouldn't!

Not recommended. This app has limited functionality. It’s good for sharing images, but communicating with other members requires use of the website. There are also many more features on the website that haven’t been included in the app. Recommend giving the app a miss and using the website instead!

Glitchy. Latest update has made the app virtually unusable. I am unable to open any image without the entire app crashing. Fix it soon please.

Didfficult to Unsubscribe From Spam. I tried to deactivate my account after getting lots of spam (even after setting my notifications not to email me, and failing to get a reply from support). The FAQ pointed me to an account deactivation page that didn’t work. Awful interface for people trying to extricate themselves from upsell offers and clickbait email. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Deleting this account. I cannot find the supposed magic “delete account” button! I’m not impressed by the free trial part either! You end up paying for something that you don’t want!

Crashes. Okay so you’re recent update CRASHES when I try to view an image....😠

Newest update. With the latest update there are some contests in which once you submit your photos, you cannot un-submit or change them, even prior to the contest deadline.

App suggestions!!. First of all I love viewbug, and the app makes it more convenient as I mostly use my smartphone to access it! But I would love it even more if I had the same features as the webpage!!! Like access to my inbox, the curator section, my stats. If I had more access on the app I would probably purchase an actual membership!

I’m enjoying it. I’ve been really I’m enjoying this App! Fun seeing such a huge variety of photos from all across the WORLD. It does crash often as of late! I have sent messages in regards to I.e. earning a certain level or reward but until to actually finish the step never getting those points or prize or badge. I would think that an App as popular as this would be more interactive with its users. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fed up user. The latest update is crap. I can open everyone elses photos, but I cannot open my own photos on either my Ipad or Iphone. It immediately crashes, terminating the app completely

Please fix. The last update has made the app unusable for me every time I click a photo or look at someone else’s photo the app crashes and kicks me out. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it and it didn’t fix the issue

Popularity contest again. Just another photography app that supports the already popular. You get no exposure whatsoever. Disappointing.

Best photography community ever. viewbug is so welcoming. They make you feel like family and that you can do no wrong when it comes to your pictures. It's just so loving and accepting

Rigged system. You get a limit of one photo a week to post, which is fine but I haven’t posed in two weeks and still gives me a warning saying I cannot post because I have reached my limit.... what a joke.

Doesn’t work. I haven’t been able to upload pictures for over 2 months now. Any time I try with my phone the App crashes. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled it.

OLD STOCK PRIZES. POOR JUDGING. CONSTANT SPAM TO BUY MEMBERSHIP. Once they have your email it is a constant harassment to upgrade to a paid membership. Photo contests with better prizes require a paid membership to be able to enter. Even prizes in paid contests are old stock items like the Canon 5D MKIII which they started making in March of 2012. They even created “Eco Friendly” contests where they give away USED cameras.

Great app. It’s a great app to upload photography and get feedback/ideas from people who are more experienced

Just starting. Looking forward to using this app more to develop my enjoyment of photography. It is easy to use, fun and interactive but most of all not a nuisance. I think I was looking for something that I could just share with my son: an app where he and I would share our own photos but I think this will expand our horizons a bit.

Re knowing my love. This app has brought back my passion for taking pictures. A reason to take that picture of a really old raisin or green fields. You find people that get your photography, and you enjoy theirs.

Unable to download pics as error shows ‘File size big’. Not at all happy with the app as I am unable to add pics due to above said error. Earlier also gave the same feedback but nothing happened. Just for this App I can’t down grade my pic quality. I am a paid member but feels wasted my money. Guru shot is a much better apps and super easy downloading n no. of pics in seconds without downloading the pic quality. Sorry!!

Beautiful experience!!. Still here after several years... Slowed down after a couple of strokes that only slowed me a little. Getting back out and will be voting more on photos of others... a visual learning experience.

Charging me when I thought I had downgraded for free. Viewbug is a master at dark patterns. An absolute joke trying to cancel my membership. I downgraded to ‘free’ almost 6 months ago but I have been charged every month since. Any time I try to cancel my membership I get led on a goose chase trying to find the window that gives me the option.

Trouble uploading. Great app. Great content. Superb photographers. Can’t upload recently even with pro plan. Fix coming?

Doubles. Love using the app and the contests, however seeing the exact same photo in the winners lists submitted by 2 different people makes me wonder how secure this site is. I’ve reported this issue before but still finding doubles. Please have a look at this.

Ok. Great photos and would like to explore the app more at the basic level, but notifications won’t load so why would anyone pay for the upgrade when it does not work at the basic??

Email Spam, Scummy practices. Once you sign up or even remove the app after signing in, VIEWBUG will spam you with emails and false awards incentivizing you to redownload the app. There is no way to opt out and I had to block VIEWBUG completely. The app developers are extremely annoying and pretentious, preying on the ego of amateur photographers to purchase pro memberships. Do not sign up for this app. Do not give them your email.

Okay. Great app but every time I try to enter a photo into a contest the app shuts down:( not sure if it's my phone or the app but it's a little frustrating.

Navigation Needs Work. I am a newer user. Overall I am enjoying the app, however I fine navigating the site to be very confusing. Also, I am trying to update the metadata on some of my photos but I can’t find where to do so. Is there a tutorial on how to use it?

Ugh!. Have been a Viewbug user for years....typically love it! Have recently switched to the Ap. Now every time I try to upload an image onto my page or into a challenge/contest it crashes. Ugh! So frustrating and disappointing 😠

can't delete my account. i don't want to use viewbug anymore but it's impossible to find the option to delete my account and i have gotten no help from their support staff

Terrible app. Doesn’t give me updates on the actual app. I find them through email notifications. Won’t let me see my pictures because it’s bugging me to upload for a contest. I upload and the screen won’t change. I don’t like this.

Scam. Be careful using this app, it charged my account somehow as soon as I downloaded the app the first time to try. They will not refund it either, I had to dispute the charge with my provider.

No inbox in app. The app needs an inbox feature, or you have to include those messages in the notification emails you send There is no use having the app, and having to go to the website to check notifications because you can’t see the inbox.

Not too bad. It works ok for me. I can upload easily, and I like scrolling through the home feed. The only thing that is super irritating is the share to Instagram hasn’t worked in ages!! The ability to share directly to FB, IG and Twitter from the app was a great feature....when it was working. Please someone look at that, why does the IG one not open IG any more when trying to share a photo??

ViewBug Rocks!. I loved (still do) the site, but having the app is like having an art gallery in my pocket and lots of fun-to-go! I'm much more involved with contests and challenges and I love everyone's work. I'm constantly inspired and feel I'm a better photographer as a result of being a ViewBug member.

Decent Mobile App. The app works great for what it includes but leaves some well loved items out such as anything related to Challenges and the Challenges themselves. It also is missing your inbox. If it had those two things it would be almost perfect.

My sinking ship of enthusiasm. It has been a while since I joined ViewBug in the beginning I can say the app was a five star rating! But slowly ever so slowly I have been oh losing enthusiasm on this site! I just have not been able to put my finger where the problem might be & I do like to solve puzzles on occasions! I just don’t know where to start!

Love it!!. So I had been looking for a way to display my work, but only knew Instagram and Facebook. A friend of mine told me about this, and my goodness I am so happy about it! I can finally display my work, and be awarded for it! I recommend any photographer to get this app!!

A trap. Sure you can go and share your photos on this app but the notification are annoying, and even when you turn email notification off and you unsubscribe it keeps coming. I tried to delete my account and followed their instructions on how to do it and the option of deleting doesn’t exist. This app/website feels like trap once you get in you can’t leave.

Great app only one hitch. I really like ViewBug and enjoy the app and desktop version. The one thing that doesn’t work on my iPhone 11 is the about photographer page. It always shows blank when I try to view it for other members.

Ugh. Uploading photos to this app are hit or miss. Sometimes it uploads, sometimes it just flashes the three uploading icons forever. I reinstalled twice, connected to several networks, and still unable to load any photos today. So frustrating.

Just don’t.. It’s incredibly easy to “win”.. but you’re really not winning anything. Or accomplishing anything. There is no statistical info to confirm it. You get a “privilege” they sell you which puts you to work for free. And the email notifications.. jesus christ. “You have 15 VERY IMPORTANT notifications!” Opens app and has no notifications.. This is garbage unless you are satisfied with instant gratification by being given absolutely nothing.

Response. I have sent many requests about the fact that my screen name has that 7284 at the end of it I did not put it there and many people look for my name and if they don’t put that apparently they can’t find my pic so I have not renewed it for that reseason and no one he’s ever responded let’s see if this helps

Need landscape orientation for iPad users!!!. I rarely use this app due to the fact that I cannot rotate the screen to a landscape orientation. I use my iPad Pro 99% of the time. Most heavy iPad users have a keyboard attached, do you realize how difficult it is to try to use your app in this manner? You need to fix this for all iPad Pro users.

Log in. I love this site but the app keep asking me in the last 12 hours to log in again and when I hit the continue button it’s asking me to log in over and over and over and never logs in . Please fix it.

Love the website but buggy app. Love the website for making participations in challenges fairly easy and intuitive. However the new app is buggy and the photos take a lot of time to load. Please fix!!!

Great app to show your work. Easy to use with great interface. If you love photography I believe you will love this app. You not have to be a professional photographer. We all can share our point of views and learn. Also a love the photo challenges.

Fun! Love it!. I'm new, but having so much fun posting pics and seeing experienced and professional photographers liking my amateur photos, as well as seeing so many amazing photos from others. This is definitely my new hobby/stress reliever!

Every photographer.. new and experienced, brings something new to the table daily. I’m thankful to be part of this great community, and have the ability to learn from the masses that contribute!

Would give a 5 star. I would give a 5 star rating if awards were emailed or mailed in a certificate form so the winner could have them framed. Also, it seems that prizes are only given to the ones that have the most followers.

Photo contest. You only get certain photo contest for free and I don't think they separate different levels like it seems like when you get the app and I haven't even been able to find out how to upgrade and how much it would cost so I could enter more contests

Love this app. It allows me to access my Viewbug account on the go. I especially like the notification choices so I can see if there has been activity on my page. Easy and very intuitive to use.

Thanks ViewBug. I have always liked taking pictures but this app has made me step up my game. To really see the colors in the world around me and to pay attention to where the light is and what's in the background. I'm a novice with a phone but I enjoy the results

I Enjoy ViewBug So Much. I’m enjoying the many beautifully-artistic photos people share from all around the world. I’ve been injured & don’t have many new images but it’s so fun looking back through my older shots and still be able to submit for contests.

Shouldn’t cost. Way to much just for a social media type site especially for a contest entry site. I like it but I’d like to enter my work on some events but don’t want to pay 100 a year for a maybe win and end up Paying 100 for adervising myself

Recomendable. I have been in many web pages to post my photos, this one sort of makes more sense when it gives awards for efforts. This community excels in promoting other with courteous criticism.

Cool so far. I like it so far but just caught something quick saying free if recommend friends... will it start charging me? Also i keep getting dropped out while trying to upload. Other than that, seems cool so far only been on a few minutes

Rotation. It would be nice to have the ability to rotate the screen in both iPhone and iPad platforms. I mean... I feel like that should be common place these days. Anyway, there are lot of great features otherwise. I just feel people would get a lot more use out of it with the ability to rotate the application screen.

Fix bug. I absolutely love this app but I haven’t been able to upload to a contest since the latest update two weeks ago, it just crashes every time!!

Love this. The view bug app is so much easier to navigate on my phone than using the website on my browser, I am finding information on awards for some of my images I had never known about until now 😁

Spam with an extra side of spam!. While viewbug had many good attributes and it's a great way to display one's portfolio, the spammy push to upgrade your account was too much and was the reason of my closing my account. After having closed my account 6 months ago the spam has been increased x10 obnoxious and intrusive. Because email contact continues after writing a request to stop I caution before downloading this app.

Favoritism & shady contest. Their app and website do not parallel each other, while the app will not reflect photo uploads or awards seen on safari or alike. I’ve won two contest and have never received the prizes nor was I properly notified that I won. Emailed the staff, they gave me the run around and still no prize. Also, their Instagram reflects favoritism of what individual is monitoring the profile, not what the public finds worthy. Save your money and don’t expect reciprocal communication when an issue arises.

Viewbug is exceptional. The app supports a great multi level photographer social media site. Needs better seamless interaction across email notices, the website and app, but overall the site is a great resource while respecting your level of desired participation.

Cool app!. Love it! Been using on laptop but love better on mobile. One issue though when voting, a lot of unwanted photos that don't meet the theme. Too much time being spent going through photos that don't belong.

Great learning experience for an extreme amateur. Only have an iPhone 7 so little to work with, however looking to get a camera soon. I have a passion for photography and this app gives me inspiration.

Not too good.. ViewBug is awesome, but their app doesn’t work very well at all. I submit photos on their website on a desktop, then I go into my app and those photos I submitted are nowhere to be found. The notifications you receive in the app don’t match up with their website on a desktop. I don’t really ever want to use the app now because so know I’ll get incomplete information. It just needs to be improved.

No Way to Download Own Photos. Great website with interesting contests and a friendly atmosphere. However today I learned there is not a function to download your own work from the site. It seems a little silly, especially since I pay for membership, that the staff has not figured out how to let users download their own images.

John B. Awesome being able to view photos from all over the world. At the same time post your photos and enjoy other people’s comments and get ideas on ways to take better pictures. There’s some amazing and extremely awesome stuff on ViewBug.

Pay to upload pictures???. I think it’s ridiculous to ask for money to upload pictures. Why? Sure to unlock contests fine but does it really matter if I upload to my own page?

Glitch. I love using VIEWBUG and I’ve been a member with VIEWBUG since 2020. I would give 5 stars but I am giving it 4 stars because recently I’ve noticed that my inbox always says I have messages when I don’t. The notifications I received from VIEWBUG in my emails don’t match the notifications that I have showing on VIEWBUG.

As a beginner. Great app for putting your creative mind into the public view. Great moral and creative support from other peers. And a great place to view other works of art and get honest views from professionals. I love this app because it promotes and encourages my creative and artistic abilities. I’m new to this photo thing but I really enjoy it.

Fantastic. ViewBug is an incredible app for photographers that forces you to grow, allows you to have access to tutorials, and see how you size up with other photographers within your genre and around the world.

Notifications never load.. I get e-mails from you guys that say I have notifications, when I go to the notifications tab on the app, nothing ever loads... or it will load endlessly and never complete. This is a big problem, fix it or you will lose users. Can’t justify paying for premium when the free version doesn’t even work! This has been a problem for at least the last year, no updates have changed this problem. It’s not a bad connection either.

Needs a tiny bit of help. I’ve used the ViewBug app for several years. I don’t like the updated app on my iPhone though. I can no longer give peer awards to photos I feel deserve them when I want to. I can’t find an answer as to why either.

Like this App!. I'm not exactly sure how long this app has been available, but I am just VERY GLAD to have found it. I hope this site continues to be one that I find interesting and somewhat usable for the beginning photographer.

Like the concept, app is buggy. So far i like the concept of this platform. Not the biggest fan of limited uploads without paying though. However, the big problem is the app crashes constantly and has several bugs. For instance, I can’t reactivate notifications. App needs some work.

Almost great. Would have been 5 stars but I can’t change my profile picture or anything like that it just crashes when I try. Everything else on the app works completely fine though so it’s kinda strange but other then that I love the app

Horrible interface. Member for two years. It gets worse instead of better. Email notifications used to be only way to see certain statistics, could not get same info from web site. Now emails just tell you to log into app. I am, it's open, but still need to navigate thru poorly designed GUI to find info. Why not direct link to where to email is reporting? Will be letting subscription expire this year.

Love it but needs iPad app. I prefer using my iPad with my photos so I would for sure give this app a 5 star rating if you guys made a iPad edition of ViewBug with hd capabilities. Having to zoom in on the app takes away too much detail from other photographers submissions.

Cool app. the bugs and glitches were fixed, still would like to see the app become more like the website. can’t award photos in app, only like them.

Fraudulent. CHARGED FOR FREE TRIAL. If you download this app for the 3 day trial, and cancel within 5 minutes because it’s sub-par app, you’ll find out that they have ALREADY CHARGED YOU and will not refund your money. They will tell you to deal with iTunes, who says no refund is available for this app. That is SO scammy, I can’t believe Apple would allow this. I will definitely be fighting for my 8.99 (just what I want. to spend time on), because that is stealing. Not a way to do business, kids.

Inspiring app. I joined ViewBug a few years ago. It has been so inspiring and uplifting as a growing photographer. I’ve learned so much. The contest and challenges boost your confidence as your skills evolve. They work to continually improve their app. A joy to be a part of this ViewBug community.
