Live game streaming. I like the feel of the application but the live game streaming gets stuck and crashes often.

Monumental. App works smoothly so far, will update review if I experience any issues. I appreciate this access to a high quality stream , especially on mobile. Good work & kudos to Ted & team.

Problems with TV provider login. The app frequently forgets my TV provider credentials (Xfinity) and then always has problems logging me in so that I can watch content. Not sure if it is Monumental’s issue or Xfinity’s.

Great software. There’s a few bugs to fix (such as the application crashing when you try to use chrome cast or airplay, the application showing a permanent still image if close the app for a second) but outside of that, it’s easy to use, especially if you use it for multiple functions outside of a broad cast.

Why?. When you open the live stream you can’t cast. So then you use airplay and after using airplay you can’t do anything else on your phone. When you start the livestream finally, you have to toggle cc on and then off as it automatically turns on WHY. The stream is never actually live as it’s always behind by at least 10 seconds. The app is garbage, msnbc at least worked.

Very buggy. App doesn’t open sometimes. Just always on the loading screen. Sometimes when you click play it goes to the beginning of the event, other times it goes live. You open a side menu while watching a game you can’t close it. You go portrait mode sometimes the viewport shows other random pieces of the screen and you have to go portrait mode again. Cast feature does not find devices to cast to even though access is allowed and other apps show available devices AirPlay feature will still play sound out of device for a couple seconds after it’s airplaying. Doesn’t happen with other apps. Just the things off the top of my head. I haven’t even tried functionality outside watching a video. Crazy the annual subscription is hundreds and they deliver this product haha

Worst sports app. This app is the worst. We are HUGE Caps fans. The streaming on this app is terrible. They break to commercial during live play. You can’t find the standing, statistics, etc. they could take lessons from the old NBCSportsNet app.

Terrible. I created an account... when I sign in it says I need to sign up... When I sign up it says I already have an account.. After way too long figuring it out.. the content was glitchy Brutal. Terminated my account within 2hrs. Want my money back... pretty sure I won’t get it.

HS football. Best and frequently the only way to see local high school football. Update 9/1/18.... I take back everything I said! I tried to sign onto this app and they said I do not have an account. I signed up for an account and they said I already do have an account. they can’t have it both ways, but they can’t seem to figure out whether I do or don’t have an account! Try to find something else.

Outstanding App, bar none !!!. This is by far the most user App in the sports world, and I also affirmed the opinions of my friends and they too have felt the same the same way as I did. Cheers!

A year later this app is still trash. Last year they had a Wizards preseason game on this app and it was glitchy and I couldn’t even watch the game. Now they have done it again and the app is still glitching out. The worst part is you have to sign up for a subscription or free trial to attempt to watch the game. I immediately canceled my subscription last year because the app wasn’t even working. I get that they are trying to get new subscribers with this promotion but they need to invest in fixing this app before putting games exclusively on it.

WOW!. Hello. I think this app is fantastic. It’s amongst the best sports streaming apps I’ve ever had on my phone. I only wish I could have watched Natasha Cloud’s awesome performance last night on it. Respect. Sincerely

App freezes and crashes. All the time! Can’t get through a game without it freezing.

This is the worst ap in my phone.. The only reason I haven’t deleted this ap is because it has tickets I boughtheld hostage. Impressively awful ap and comically bad customer service/support to go with it. If I could give less than one star I would!

It works - watch NHL games. The app would be better if my team won every time. I think the developers need to work on that…

Say Goodbye. Beginning November 27th, you won’t be able to use this app without paying through the nose if you are a Verizon Fios customer. That’s because Verizon Fios is dropping Monumental Sports from their service. See the message on your Set Top Box. I don’t know who’s to blame for this fiasco, nor do I care. I have a strict policy. I don’t pay extra to stream something I once had on cable. There are plenty of other options for things to watch these days. If you want someone to pay more, you’ll have to find somebody else. In the end, it doesn’t really matter much. The Wizards have been unwatchable for a long time and the Capitals are headed in that direction very quickly. Do you really think I’m going to pay for that?? Goodbye.

AWFUL for streaming and airplay. AirPlay does not work properly on this app. I live in the DC Metro area and have cable, but it is impossible to Airplay caps and wizards games. I have a Samsung smart tv and there is no MSN app on the tv, so I can only watch games on my phone or computer without functional airplay. Miserable customer service experience every time I try to call. Wish I could have NBCSW back.

Worse than a free app. I cannot believe the only way I can watch the Capitals is through this horrible app that costs $20/month!! For that price it should work flawlessly on all devices, have no ad content, have a much better UI, and provide some special feature. Instead it is glitchy, plays ads during gameplay, and often freezes to the point where I have to restart the app multiple times to get it to work. A pitiful exploitation of fans who just want to watch their teams.

If only I could leave zero stars. Where to begin. I paid for the subscription to watch Caps games and I can’t do it without the app going from full screen to smaller screen, sometimes with closed captions that I didn’t choose. While attempting to watch the November 22 game, I put it on my TV at 6:45 and got 15 minutes of commercials! If this doesn’t change I’m asking for a full fleeting and never watching a Caps game ever again. This is such a ripoff and a huge disappointment.

Only because 0 stars isn’t an option. Forced to download this to access Caps tickets I purchased through StubHub. It doesn’t work. Doesn’t recognize my user account even though I’m looking at my account on desktop. Avoid using this for tickets if you have a choice (we eventually transferred the tickets onto a credit card). Added bonus: horrible interface. Worst app I’ve come across.

Nightmare to cancel. Register with the extreme care for their services. I have both cancelled my service through their website and called in and cancelled their service and have been charged for two months after both forms of cancellation.

Why should going to a basketball game be so difficult??. The first thing you notice is that this app attempts to automatically feed you unwanted video content. I only downloaded this app in an attempt to be able to gain entry to a wizards game. Why should going to a basketball game be so difficult? That you cannot print your ticket, you have to download an app, the app is confusing, not to mention you have to have it transferred from Ticketmaster and synced to this app to work? Way too painful of customer problem-resolution here guys.

Token verification failed. Everytime i go to watch live the next day it says token verification failed and when i check it says im already logged in my tv network provider. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall then it works fine. Until the next day

Your not a caps fan if you don’t have this app. I assume you root for the pens like some kinda loser if you don’t have this app . I said what I said.

I've given up watching caps games. I can no longer watch capital games under Monumental. I either can't login, can't load the game, the game crashes, games freezing, etc. Absolutley horrible service.

Horrible Availability. No access to the app on google TVs. They only air one live game at a time. And it took weeks before the app would even run properly on my iPad. OH! And they won’t stop bothering me to give them a good rating, and if I say I don’t enjoy the app they try to send me to tech support…. So here’s my review you Monumental so dearly craves; I hate the idea of this network, I hate the app, and I wish broadcasting games was back in capable hands instead of this mess.

Can’t get caps tickets on here. Downloaded because for some reason they won’t let you print out tickets at home. Says to download app or put on credit card. Well this app is trash and won’t log in. Not even sure it’s possible to access tickets on this app, it’s not in the FAQ. Save your time and just put on credit card, which is not ideal but pretty much the only option for ticket transfers.

Horrible way to treat Hockey fans- stinks. Attempted to watch Caps living here in Texas as Cap fans seeing them when this affiliate is the option for many games is terrible. Fans should not have to pay for more than one app to watch any sport outside pay-per-view boxing kinds of stuff. We’ve paid for NHL in the past now we watch through ESPN+. It’s just too much work. Whichever genius negotiated this contract ought to have to use these systems to follow a team.

Crapp. Won’t play in landscape mode, won’t start a live feed until you try 4 or 5 times. I don’t understand why Monumental can buy NBCSW and then completely screw up a perfectly functioning regional streaming service.

👎🏾. Pretty sure I know why this is so poorly rated. When you buy tickets electronically, monumental sports emails you and directs you to download the app to transfer your tickets. The app is a monumental piece of excrement. The login never works. Luckily you can get your tickets transferred to your smartphone other ways, so just ignore the monumental bait and switch. If any of the app developers are reading this, your app clearly has a problem. You may want to consider fixing the login issue or provide better instructions.

Best App for DMV Sports. This is my go to app (and website) for sports in the DMV. Very easy to watch live games, plus the original shows are really unique - can't find programming like this anywhere else.

Terrible application. This application is almost unusable, the bigger the game, the worse the experience! They have neither the quality of cameras or server capacity to charge anything for this application simply terrible.

Reliable. When I’m I the middle of nowhere I can’t watch a game

Need to fix. Every time I try to watch the caps game it ask me to login in. I log in and then click watch and yet once it again it ask me to login. This has been going on for a while and I haven’t been able to watch anything on the app. Before this started happening, the app was great. I work overnight and this is the only way to watch the caps games unless it’s a weekend and I can’t even do that anymore. Have to wait to the weekend to see them play or if the are on regular tv then I can watch them. Please fix and update the app

Crappy. This app just crashes randomly. This review is more about the fire tv app thought. That just straight up doesn’t work for me. It is stuck on the loading screen forever. I emailed the help department and they did not help me and then stopped responding. Which is just a shame cuz it’s a nice looking app with a good ui, it just doesn’t work. It has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth whenever I try to load it up to watch a caps game. Makes me feel like I’m wasting 20 bucks a month.

Awful. I was having trouble air playing the Caps game to my TV. I tried calling the monumental sports network help desk and the person who answered was less than helpful, barely spoke English, and then proceeded to hang up on me. Awful app, awful customer service.

Frustration at it’s finest. Only downloaded the app and made an account to watch the Caps play since NBCSW was bought out. I have only experienced frustration with using this app in the scant few preseason games I’ve watched. Not only is this app NOT compatible with my smartTV but casting from my phone to my TV is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Half the time I can’t even get it to rotate into landscape correctly so that I can press the cast icon. And then I have to activate the casting feature EVERY TIME. Which often causes it to be bumped out of the livestream and the process starts all over again. I’ve spent more time during the first period trying to make this dang app act as advertised than actually enjoying the game. Monumental needs to get it’s act together for the upcoming hockey season.

App crashes and cannot access. The app on my fire stick crashes when trying to set it up. Your app is terrible and I can’t even write a review on your page.

Below Average. The app often doesn’t work. If I close the app on my phone in favor of opening it on Roku, it often won’t work on Roku. No ability to start watching the game from the beginning, no ability to resume watching from where you left off. I also don’t like that it displays the score on the main screen as I would prefer to begin watching the game after it starts without having the score ruined for me. Hopefully this is just the “1.0” version of the app. The only benefit is that it is cheaper than cable or a larger streaming service.

Dishonest Company. The unsubscribe feature on this app does not work, so I contacted the company and asked them to cancel my subscription. They confirmed with me that they had cancelled. A few months later I’m reviewing my app subscriptions and they were still charging me. They never cancelled my subscription even though they said they had. Do not use this app.

Buggy and annoying. When Monumental used the NHL app platform it was great, but the new versions are buggy and clunky. Videos don’t play or play with just audio. You can’t control (or stop) them. Hockey game day info is limited and overall league stats are gone. Very disappointing.

Needs landscape. Would be a huge improvement if rotated to landscape mode.

Terrible. This app is so bad, I printed and taped the pdf calendar to the back of my phone. The app calendar is the worst. You can’t tell which team is playing or if the game is home or away. If you are red-green color blind, forget it. (Is this app Sec 508 compliant?) you have to scroll horizontally and can only see 1.5 games with the team you don’t care about mixed in. It matters whether games are home or away and what day of the week they fall on because the schedule for other family activities (soccer, swimming, scout meetings, home owner association meetings.) have to be de-conflicted. You simply can’t do it with this layout. As I said, terrible. No player stats. Really? You have to dig to find your tickets. !?! Too hard to figure out what station (if any) is broadcasting a game. And Monumental’s station ID MNMT looks like “Minnesota-Montana”.

Constant crashing and lock ups. For the monthly price you pay you’d think they’d write a decent app that worked. Constantly locks up. Bad enough that I need to reboot device to resolve issue.

No way to pull up tickets. Every time I go to load my tickets to my wallet, I follow their instructions but the description doesn’t match the layout. Only way I can see my tickets is to turn off my vpn and pull it up on safari. The site tells me to load it to my wallet but the links NEVER works. Worst app ever… that is next to Ticketmaster. 🤬🤬

Good if it worked. Like poor streaming quality, ads during play and and an app that constantly crashes? Do you enjoy watching an error message or black screen than your favorite team in OT? If so this is the app for you!!

Latest Update Bricks App. Forced into installing the latest update and now the app crashed back to springboard every time I try to open it. Not like there's a Caps game going on right now or anything. This app blows.

Very buggy and not worth the membership. I’ve been trying to use the monumental sports app on my iPad and I’ve encountered the following issues: 1. The stream just not working and showing just a black screen. 2. The stream switching to a completely different game 3. The app telling me to download the monumental app to watch the game… while I’m I'm the app 4. The app showing the score of a completely different sport I’m watching I dread using this app because I just get frustrated by the end because either the app doesn’t work or the game is being streamed on a different service when I pay $20 to watch the game I have no idea why this app is so highly rated

This app is a scam. This app is an absolute scam. It is advertised as an app that broadcasts live DC area sports, including the Caps and Wizards. All you get is crappy amateur boxing and short clips of practices and player interviews. Don’t download.

One star. Logged in on my laptop and it is saying that it doesn’t recognize my email, when it’s the same one I used for my laptop. Their system doesn’t correlate well with one another

Can’t watch all games. Complete rip off. They charge $20 per month and then you can’t even watch half the games. Defeats the purpose.

Forced to use it. It’s the only way to watch the Caps play, that’s the only reason why I got the dumpster fire app. NBCSW was so much better. It actually worked!

Junk. Like the Wizards and their treatment of season ticket holders, this app is pure trash.

Horrible app. Why do I have to download this to get tickets

Ads during play. They run 10 second ads in the middle of the action during Caps hockey games. Just awful.

Email login doesn’t work. Second time I have attempted to use this app for Wizards tickets. My email login fails on this app, but works in the Wizards app and on Ticketmaster. Plan on this failing and finding an alternative to getting your tickets. Ugh.

App Rotation. Can you please allow the app to rotate from the default of portrait only to landscape or portrait. It is impossible to use the app with my keyboard if it doesn’t rotate. Thanks.

Do not find this app as good as the previous MLB app. This app is horrible and really awkward to use and very hard to find information ex: schedule, stats etc…

If it works, leave it alone. I upgraded the app between periods to get rid of the nag screen. Since then I have gotten authentication fails. What a worthless app.
