Jennifer. I have had a great experience with the link evo cameras. I purchased 2 of them due to needing surveillance on my seasonal property that has no power that had been broken into. Not only were they easy to set up but 1 week after setting them up I was alerted by one of the cameras of another break in and was able to give the police a very detailed play by play report of what I was seeing so they could get the officers there and catch the two men in the act. If you have a seasonal cabin these work wonderful for surveillance. I have also had great technical support answering any/all my questions and concerns. Thank you SPYPOINT I highly recommend you and the link-evo!

Nice concept, but disappointing performance. This Link-Micro was my first trail cam and purchased primarily to capture pics of vehicles, including rear license plates, which enter/exit our 500 ft long driveway. Getting pics of wildlife is nice, also. Camera operation and iPhone app setup were relatively simple, although did need to format SD card in computer. Camera ate up 8 alkaline batteries in less than one month and 350 pictures. Switched to lithium and those are still showing 100% charge after 3 weeks and 200+ pictures. Tried several different camera settings and locations, but found it’s hit or miss to capture good picture of the rear of a vehicle. Have it set up to take 2 “instant” photos of every detection, but shutter speed is such that it usually only captures a vehicle or wildlife in only one picture and sometimes misses entirely. It rarely captures the rear of our vehicles with normal use of our driveway, so it’s doubtful we would catch a good shot of a potential intruder vehicle. If it does capture rear of vehicle, must take SD card out of camera to view picture on computer to have a chance of reading license plate. Might be able to make out make, model and color of vehicle, if daylight picture. An annoyance is failure of iPhone Spypoint app to remember login credentials, in spite of checking “Remember Me” box. Also, initial screen usually appears each time, in spite of checking box for “Do Not Show Again.”

Great camera & App. I bought 2 Micro Link trail cameras and have had them out 1 week now and each camera has transmitted over 100 pictures. I have really enjoyed seeing what’s in my hunting areas in real time. I love the app and it’s ability to make changes to the camera remotely from my phone. I also bought 1 security box and I like it much better than the strap for mounting to the tree and I will be ordering another because I have had cameras stolen before. If I had to say anything negative about these cameras it would be the picture quality that is sent to your phone. They are a little fuzzy, SPYPOINT app says this is normal because pictures are compressed to be sent to your phone but the pictures are also captured on your SD card in the camera and they are top notch quality. The Micro Link is a awesome cellular trail cam at a great price.

You get what you pay for.... I bought the camera in hopes of catching a mailbox thief(s). Picture quality is ok not the best. Not real happy with the quantity of pics taken when it senses motion. Wish it took more. Caught 1 out of 3 thief’s on it. If the picture quality and frequency was better/more probably catch all 3. For the price of the camera tho I can buy 3 for the price of reconyx. Night pics have to be real close to capture an ok picture. If left on all day the batteries burn up quick. Good pics during daylight tho. Love the fact it can alert you when it takes pics and they’re on ur app on ur phone in case the camera happens to be stolen. Depending on how you use it i would recommend it. But for night security in a rural area with no power source close I’d say not so much. They definitely have the ability for improvement

App great, cameras good, cs okay. 4* for app for one feature request. I’d like a remote trigger. Should have a button to force a pic. Helps to set up camera positions or remote trigger if you suspect something is there. Never had a problem with the app. Seems to work perfectly. Cameras are generally good. Noticed it has missed activity like when I drove by in a utv. Usually catches me but sometimes doesn’t trigger. Sometimes play with position to improve solar and cell. I know we get Verizon better than att so know your preferred carrier for that area. We also switched our phones to Verizon for this reason. One camera has always been flawless. The other has had intermittent issues (4*). Cs was okay helpful but didn’t refund the three months of no pics. Problem is when you try a fix and then do t go back to the lease that’s 3 hours away for a few months. So for a few months you don’t get pics. But no refund on monthly fee despite obvious ongoing problems. My friend had an issue with one of three cameras and they sent him a replacement. Overall it’s still worth it I think. Can’t imagine having to pull cards!! Had my two cameras for just over a year so far.

Great camera but have a request for the app. I have the spypoint link WM and it’s a great camera. Gets the job done. I actually had purchased a camera from Walmart, got it and went to activate it and it would not work for some reason, even using spypoint customer support we could not get it to work, so I exchanged it at Walmart and this new one works great. Although I do have a request. The spypoint app has no option to change the picture notification sound and I would possibly like to do that to find a louder picture alert notification to wake me in the middle of the night, being that we are having a pig issue at our place and I would like to go out and take care of them when they are there. Is it possible for y’all to allow the option of changing the sound for the notification??

The price is great bait... but save yourself the hassle!. So I have 2 Link Micro cameras, one Verizon and one at&t. I’ve had to return both at least once, I’ve had to go to the woods on a regular to pull the cameras due to problems(defeats purchase) and I’ve had to delete and re-download the app at least 15 times. The price is amazing and the photo plans price is good, don’t bite down on the hook just yet cause it looks tasty...I’ve contacted them on messenger over 50 times regarding issues, It always the owners fault, they give you this preschool instruction that fixes absolutely nothing. So before you think dang... slap yourself in the face and say DONT DO IT, because by the time you have used fuel bought batteries( for me every other week)and wasted your time chasing down customer service, covering your area with unnecessary scents from trying to get what you paid for to actually do what it’s suppose to... TAKE MY ADVICE AND BUY THE BETTER ONE(OF A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER) you can thank me later.....or now but I promise you you will. Maybe they take better care of the ones who they actually sponsor but there are definitely more blue collar hunters than TV paid hunters so when they say “ OH I LOVE SPYPOINT CAMERA’S “ it’s probably because they didn’t pay for it or they get better service because they are putting their name across the screen. Ok and I’m sorry for the rant but if you buy one.... you’ll know!!!!

Will not work. I bought a spypoint cell link for My spypoint camera I have been using for the passed 2 years. Love my camera and have never had a issue. Got the cell link so I could see the pictures without having to drive down and change out my sd cards to view the the pictures. After booking it up and going step by step instructions. The app has never worked. When you go to the spypoint support, all the pictures on the support page do not match up with the app display pages. On the app I can see the camera is communication with my cell link and has never sent any pictures through the app at all. I know it’s nothing with the camera. I set up my other spypoint on the opposite side of this opening facing towards the spypoint with the cell link with a regular sd card inside it and is taking pictures so I know it’s not an issue of nothing in the frame and the cell link unit has always showed full signal strength. Also if you through the instruction book that comes with the cell link it also does not line up with the website and/app display as it says. This was a waste of money and time and I would not recommend it to anyone. In the future after dealing with this now I will buy a Muddy cell camera and activate it with my AT&T plan.

Good value. Overall I think this is a great app and camera system. Lots of options and really lets you keep track of your hunting spots for both game and security. Best of all I think the value for the cellular plans is very good. There have been a few hiccups with the technology, mostly my fault and the customer service has been very helpful , and they stood by their warranty when one of my cameras quit working with a quick replacement. The only suggestion I would make to SPYPOINT is I wish there was a way to turn the camera on and off or reboot it from the app so when there was a problem you didn’t need to drive out and do it by hand .

Don’t be taken!. I went to bass pro to purchase 3 more Stealth Cameras. I met a person in a special uniform I assumed worked for bass pro. No he was there as a Spypoint sales person! He explained that what I really needed was a Spypoint. Then lead me to the counter to check out. But after finding out I had an apple phone he said these won’t work. We are out of what you need. But went ahead and ordered them. This required me to make a 2nd trip to bass pro a 1 hour drive to & from. Once I got them I was told I had to buy a subscription for each phone! What your sales man never mentioned that. Anyway I put them up and when I went back to check them 2 out of the 3 were missing the antenna. So I just called Spypoint & was told I had to go to your website to purchase new antennas she could not help me. Needless to say I really feel I was taken.

App Good, Cam and Customer Service No Good. I purchased the Link-Micro-LTE 2 pack. It came with cameras and SD cards. Seemed like a good deal. 1 cam worked perfectly. Easy setup, no issues at all. 2nd cam had issues from the start. I updated the firmware, formatted the card (provided in the package) and restarted the camera several times. It finally started working at home so I placed it in the field. Within 2 hours it drained the batteries to 76% and showed that it was continuously connecting but no pictures. I contacted chat support and they advised me the SD card is not compatible and to purchase their card. This is after I told her that the card WAS their card and came in the package. Now I have to drive the 2-hours round trip and an hour hike to bring the camera home so they can “troubleshoot”. I am not feeling very optimistic with the customer support that just told me that their card is not compatible with their device. I will update this review once I get a resolution.

Fix the app SPYPOINT!!! Do not buy until app is fixed. For the first month I had the camera, it was awesome. My first cell camera and setup and picture transfer to my phone couldn’t have been easier. Then, I went out of town for my big hunt of the year for one week and my app started failing. Couldn’t access my home page with all of my camera info to change the settings on my camera. It would say that there was a problem. Then it wouldn’t let me access any photos. To this day, a month later, I still can’t access my homepage but I can access my photos about 3/4 times. I tired getting in touch with customer service and they were kind of ill and just said “redownload app, login/logout, update app” which I had already did and she said that there was pretty much nothing she could do. This is a problem because I can’t see any of my cameras status. I have 10 SPYPOINT cameras. Customer service is no help. After customer service replied to this message, it makes me dislike SPYPOINT even more. They are no help. There is nothing I can do to fix this. As all of the other recent reviews state, this is apparently a large problem with the app and SPYPOINT cares nothing about fixing it. They would rather put the fix on the customer to restart app, login/logout etc. I’m moving to a different cell camera brand and suggest others do the same to save some trouble.

Garbage warranty and camera. I have a SPYPOINT Link Dark and in less than a year, my camera stopped working due to ants that managed to get inside. Called customer service and was told this was “natural damage” and not something that is covered under warranty because it’s not a defect. The customer service rep even asked if I knew how to close the door properly to keep bugs out!! She said even if I bought the camera and ants got into it a week later and ruined it, it would not be covered under warranty!! They gave me the option to pay a repair fee of $100 and then they would send me a new one. So my $200+ camera would then be $300+ with no additional guarantee that it wouldn’t happen again. I’m still trying to figure out why a cellular camera can’t do updates using cell service. If there is a firmware update, your camera will just stop working. Then you have to go get it, delete your SD card and install the update on it, re-insert it into the camera, install it and then put it back out. Old school. Very disappointed in quality of everything!

Spypoint products and customer service. Personally I believe that the Spypoint trail cam company is hands down the best!! The customer service being available via chat and on call. That alone is priceless. The tech support and knowledge that these individuals have amazes me. The detection range and clarity on the link micro and the sell link both are great!! I would recommend this to a friend and have. We both own three and we are always sharing pictures from the cell link and the link micro. The prices on a transfer plan just can’t be matched. I don’t have one negative thing I can find to say about the products or service from Spypoint!! Thanks for such an amazing product!!

select ALL button. The app and desktop access is very useful and straightforward. Both could stand to have a “select all” button in addition to the select button. In cases where a certain camera recorded lots of pictures, it would be nice to be able to select “all” of the pictures with a single click of a button to make deleting pictures less time consuming …. With a select all function you could then un-select the few pictures you want to keep rather than having to select each picture one-by-one to delete the one’s you don’t want to keep. If you have a fair number of cameras, deleting pictures you don’t want takes quite a bit of time. If there is a way to select all pictures in a specific camera that I am not aware of, please advise.

Bad product and customer support. Photo quality is poor but I can live with that. What is the most bothersome thing is the camera cannot send images consistently, it will go extended periods of time between photos sent, this is despite activity in front of the camera and despite the camera connecting. I sent a message to the customer support line and a response shot back saying to update the firmware. This is pretty annoying since the point of this camera is to be used remotely, but now I have a camera that is half way working until I drive 400 miles to fix it. Additionally the English in the app and product specific website is poor. The app is clunky and does not always open the correct image that you click on the thumb nail. The website photo viewer has issues with the forward and back button. I would expect more out of a $400 product. Simply put the QA and usability testing of this product is severely lacking.

Link-Micro doesn’t sync and ZERO customer support. Basically have purchased a useless camera. Purchased link-micro camera and installed app. Followed directions exactly but somehow app shows that a premium plan was selected. Can’t choose the free plan and cant go ahead and pay for premium plan as the app tells you that you can’t upgrade to a premium plan because you are not currently on a free plan? Contacted customer support and they are unable to help as they don’t understand why a free plan can’t be chosen. Was told by customer support that there are issues with the link-micro and the app and that IT would have to assist. Was told to send email and the issue would be resolved in approximately 2 days. Going on 9 days now with no response from IT department and still have a camera that doesn’t work other than pulling the SD card to retrieve photos. Called customer support 2 days ago and was told that the IT department hasn’t looked at my issue because they don’t have time. No help and no information on when they will “find time” to try and fix this issue. Money and time wasted with this company. Plan to return camera and purchase a different brand.

Great Company. I’ve been with Spypoint for several years now and I must say we have had a great customer relationship, all of this time. I have 3 cameras and yes with a few bumps in the road along the way (not many) but Spypoint has always been kind to me and we got back to seeing thousands of pictures in very brief time. I always operated with the concept that is “ if you are pleasant to them they always return it two fold”. I can tell that this is a Christian company and i have been loyal to them for that and I feel, myself that all of the Customerservice reps that I delt with have been experts at what they do!!! I look forward to doing business many more years with them. Thanks Frank Price Sr.

No notifications on iOS 16 and blurry pics. I keep coming back to the App Store to check for an update since the latest app update I was forced to take now does not notify me of any pictures when they come in - however it will notify me when I get an HD pic in or a photo limit has been reached 🤔. I have all notifications on. I have 14 cameras and now the functionality is digressing…not good. Additionally, my pics are blurry while I’m flipping thru them. I can stop and toggle back and forth on a single pic and it will finally clear up but this is very time consuming. Why would functionality be going backwards with updates! I’m viewing them while on a strong WiFi connection so it can’t be connection speed. Could be related to the addition of the same FLEX advertisement that’s popped up and freezes screen every time I log in 🤦

Camera works alright. I got my SPYPOINT micro about a week ago. I took it to the field and it worked great! Batteries lasted about a week before needing changed in my case. It stopped sending pictures to the app. About a day after I went ahead and swapped the batteries because they had gotten down to %30. I started it back up in the field and it worked for a night. Now it shows that the fresh batteries I put in are already at %40 and it stopped sending me pictures. I’m still in the free trail for unlimited photos. I looked up what may be the issue. I followed the video provided and none of these work. I want it to work because it cost a decent amount of money I think it should last a little longer than a week after the purchase. If anyone has any idea to fix this that would be great.

Has worked flawlessly. I purchased my Link-Evo cameras to put on property I own that is 5 hours away. I wanted to make sure they “WORK” before I plant them out there. I chose which camera by checking the Verizon and AT&T Data maps for that Area, and AT&T Is stronger there. I set the cameras up in my backyard and ran them for 6 months . I read the directions FIRST , and learned everything about them . What batteries I need for what I want them to do ...What can happen to them..What they can do...Don’t do...How they work best ... And things that can go wrong. Now I’m very confident they will work for me when I take them to my hunting property. Since this is really a review of the APP. I gave it 5 stars because it is very intuitive . Clean and easy to navigate. Works great on IPhone. It just simply “WORKS”. And that is a win in my book! I’ve heard some stories of people having issues with the product. Well just keep in mind. You usually always here the news that is bad. What broke..What Airplane crashed. And not good news. Or what didn’t break. Or what Airplane landed. I don’t care how good a product is. When there is a lot of it...A few mishaps will happen from time to time. As far as my cameras, and this app. I have ZERO COMPLAINTS! Thanks Spypoint!!

The app seems to need some work, especially when working with the dark cameras. The SPYPOINT LINK app is simple enough. It is missing several features that would make it more complete, but the biggest issues are the bugs in the application. Some of the bugs could be attributed to the application in the phone, and some of them are from the firmware in the radios and cameras for the dark model or in the web based hosted application it reports to. The schedule time ranges do not seem to like the starting time in the evening in the ending time the following morning. Trying to set the time ranges causes the time box to jump around on your screen while editing. The application only sometimes is able to update the camera settings. If you’re going to use the dark camera models, I would suggest you test them a great deal before mounting them in a difficult place. We have spent more time on the latter, then we would’ve expected.

App has improved a lot. This app has improved a lot over the last year. I do t like that it still goes to the login screen every time you open it, but since the password is saved it is ok I’d like if they could put a setting in the app to disable the camera from uploading pics. I k ow there is a cellular option but if you turn that off and then back on it will upload the pics that were taken while it was off. The use case is that if I k ow it is going to be windy all day today I’d rather be able to turn the cellular off to prevent uploading of unnecessary pics- BUT still keep them on the sad card. AND when I turn it back on- it will only upload new pics taken AFTER being turned back on.

Expensive, fragile, glitchy, not waterproof at all!. I’m on my second camera due to the first one getting water internally from a rainstorm. The plan cost me $180 a year to have and I had major issues getting it to send pictures. It’s my least favorite trail cam due to the over $400 I have invested in it. Picture quality is downright terrible, fails to send pictures half the time. Startup is a nightmare. After this plan is up I’ll be selling it in hopes of getting some of my investment back out of it. I should have read reviews before I bought it like I do everything else. Don’t get sucked in by the free plan. Squirrels and raccoons will eat that plan up and you have a standard trail cam again. It said on the box it was capable of 48 mp but I haven’t seen any ability to make it 48 mp. It’s like an ancient cell phone camera at best. I’d recommend any other brand cell transmitting camera over this one.

Annoying app. Let’s try this again. Don’t know why this started but it’s really annoying. From the main picture screen I tap on a pic to select it. I have to tap it again to get it to the center of the screen. Then I can rotate my phone to enlarge it but I have to tap it again to get rid of the share/delete options. If I swipe left or right to look at another pic while my phone is horizontal, the main screen options appear, (Cameras, photos, maps, weather, help) covering all of the pics info. (Date, time, etc). This happens with each swipe left or right. I then have to rotate my phone back vertical and tap the pic, sometimes twice, to get the back arrow to appear. I have to back out of that pic and select a different pic and repeat the process for each one I want to view.

Enhancing Convenience: SPYPOINT Micro-Link-LTE Trail Camera App Review. The app is decent, and the SPYPOINT micro-link-LTE trail camera performs well. The only notable improvement would be the option to conveniently add add-ons within the app. In my experience with the app and the SPYPOINT micro-link-LTE trail camera, I found them both to be satisfactory. The app provides a decent user interface and functionality, while the camera itself performs admirably. One aspect that could greatly enhance the user experience is the incorporation of a feature that allows for easy add-ons directly within the app. This would eliminate the need for extra steps and make the process more streamlined. Overall, with a minor improvement like this, the app-camera combination could offer a more seamless and convenient outdoor monitoring solution. I use this camera on my driveway to keep tabs on any activity, and it has proven to be quite effective in capturing movements and events. The SPYPOINT micro-link-LTE trail camera's performance in this specific setting has been reliable, providing clear and detailed images. Having the ability to monitor my driveway remotely through the app adds an extra layer of convenience to my surveillance setup. With the potential for future app updates that allow for more convenient add-ons, the camera's functionality could be further enhanced for driveway monitoring and beyond.

Link Dark. This is my first cellular trail camera. I was extremely skeptical at first due to some of the negative reviews. I’ve only had the camera for one day but I wanted to write a review because this camera has surpassed my expectations in every department thus far. I’ve used a lot of trail cameras in the past. Cuddeback, Reconyx, Stealth Cam, etc.. The link dark was easier to set up than any other camera I’ve used. I had no problems linking my camera to the app. I then put the camera in my living room to see if it would take pictures and If they would send them to my phone. I’m receiving all the pictures on my phone. (Great picture quality) can’t wait to see how clear they are on the SD card. The only problem I’ve had is trying to change the cameras settings through the app. I would recommend to change the settings, through the camera, like photo delay before you put the camera in the field. It’s extremely easy to do on the camera and once you have your preferences picked out you’re ready to rock. Great product so far! Look forward to purchasing some more.

All junk. Every one of my cameras worked fine last year. This year they are failing to work. Called SPYPOINT several times did everything what support asks and these cameras are junk. Problems… Draining new lithium batteries within 8 hrs. after installing them. Dumping over 200 photos causing your sportsman picture package to wait 30 days before it resets. Picture quality is really bad compared to last year. They sent me 2 Flex cameras where I had to pay $30 a piece for. They are junk as well. Doing the same thing the micros are doing. The app. Has big time problems with iPhone users. SPYPOINT recommended that I use their web site instead of the app.. What’s the point then if I can not view the pictures on my phone while at work.. actually I give it Negative zero stars. Because 1 star is too good..

Cell link. Received one of these for Christmas, I spent two different days several hours on the phone could not get this to send pictures to my home support could not figure this out then they decided that there was something wrong with the camera. So I went and bought two more and used two different trail cameras they could not get any of the three to work, which tells me that whoever and support was not familiar with this problem. Three days later the last person I talk to had me do a factory reset I did it on all three cameras still could not get it to send the pictures to my phone. I am fed up with it at that point I had spent four days on the phone often on I put them in the box and returned them. I have talk to people to use these yeah they seem to be great I guess I just didn’t get the right support to help me figure it out

Worst customer service ever. I purchased and have had in the field since April 2019 a Dark Link camera. My camera quit transmitting pictures with all indicators on the camera showing a strong signal and battery strength. After 2 weeks and several phone calls the Customer Service had me do a hard reset and reinstall the camera to the website app. My Premium service plan was deleted and had to be reset up after another Trail period. SPYPOINT assured me that the first account was deleted and I would not be billed for the next month service. Guess what I was billed for the “deleted” account. Several more phone calls/emails, submission of my bank transaction and I was refund. Part 2 set up the account a second time every thing was working fine till the end of July when I started to get completely washed out over exposed daylight pictures. I used the text feature in the app and I would wait most times a day for a response. I would answer and wait. I finally kept manipulating the settings of the camera through the app and the daylight pictures started working. A few days later the night mode pictures went dark showing a full screen black image. Through all this I have given up on customer support help. They are untimely and do not seem to know the product very well. I Use the cuddelink system also and have had no issues running 4 cameras. I bought SPYPOINT because of the app & the camera so I am hoping that I can get it straightened out

Not the perfect cellular camera, but pretty darn good. The camera isn’t perfect, but it does what’s advertised. It’s virtually a maintenance free camera in regards to battery life. What more can you ask for with a cellular camera. I do wish it had the option to send pics on demand, but every 2 hours isn’t bad. The transmitted pics are good, not great. More than good enough to get a good look a what’s been coming around. The pictures off the sd card are extremely good. You should be using class 10 card high speed card. My signal was 1-2 bars so installed an external antenna and now never below 3 bars. The camera won’t operate at it fullest capacity unless the signal is at least 3 bars. Remember that the camera is NOT associated with your own cell phone carrier. It’s all thru SPYPOINT. It’s very important to check what cell carrier has the best reception at your particular place. I added antenna to my at&t camera and my buddy gets a constant 4-5 bars with Verizon version and is about 1/4 mile from me. The only issue I have with the app is that most of the time I can’t check internal battery percentage. I have to keep pressing internal battery tab and it will just randomly pop up sometimes. Other than that, it’s a great camera.

Thought I’d like it. I was really excited about my new Link-S Cameras and getting everything set up in this app. The app has worked well, and the cameras have worked well, setup was easy. BUT, I’m not getting full resolution photos. Reading other reviews, I am seeing that it is designed to put the full resolution photo on the SD card and sends a highly compressed garbage image to the app. Ok... so why am I paying for a cellular camera if I have to go and retrieve the photos in person??? For the alerts? I don’t need alerts, I wanted a remote access solar camera. Very misleading advertising. If the box shows 12megapixel quality, it should stay 12 megapixel in all uses of the device. Or put a giant disclaimer next to that saying “It can take 12mp pictures, but you won’t ever see that unless you drive out to your camera and download the SD card”.

Lacking features compared to other brands cellular models. The camera sends photos when I want, but the lack of detailed notifications per camera is missing. Sometimes they all don’t need to blast my phone when I’m only watching a specific few. Formatting the SD card remotely would be an awesome feature. Giving free analytics on what time of day is frequented to temp and moon phases would be nice. I am not a dang of your insiders program. It doesn’t actually give anything to the customer. Please come up with a better plan and something that works for multiple cameras. Might switch due to wanting multiple cameras but unlimited plans are expensive. I don’t want annual plans because I can’t hunt annually. Most of us don’t have hunting shows and can’t afford that cost annually. But hunting time, I will pay for unlimited to a certain degree.

Expectations. Spypoint cameras have fulfilled my expectations, I was worried about cell signal because where I hunt my cell phone doesn’t have much service or it is spotty, but with the large antenna they pick up very well, also was very impressed with the pick up range, mine camera says 90’ but it catches movement much further away! Cons. I wish I could link more camera to one monthly bill. And I wish they took a higher quality picture, I feel like I lose some definition through the text! But all in all if you want to get into the cellular cameras and not spend a arm and a leg I would recommend to the spypoint camera.

STAY CLEAR OF THESE CAMERAS!!!. I’ve had both my cameras for about 3 years now. The first two years they worked great and I loved them! Now neither one works, the battery prongs on the one completely fell off after sliding the battery pack in and having corrosion around them! And my other camera! Lol 3 times I’ve sat on the phone for hours trying to figure it out, full battery full service updated SIM card whatever else you can possibly do and it WONT TAKE A PICTURE!! So i do some research and find out you gotta use certain batteries or sometimes they won’t work so boom, I got 8 batteries for $26 and what do you know camera starts working again for around 3-4 days and hasn’t taken another picture since then! Still reading full battery and service. So I’m so excited I waisted all this money monthly for your service and the batteries and not to mention THE AMOUNT OF DEER I NEVER GOT TO SEE! So thanks a lot SPYPOINT for the crappy help in fixing my cameras…

Terrible Customer Service. The camera functions well. The app functions decent until recently. But the customer service is terrible. I’ve been trying to upgrade my plan so that I can get more pictures. It won’t let me upgrade on the app and the website shows an error every time I try. I’ve tried the online chat option over a dozen times throughout the last month. They never reply and it finally times out, then you have to start over. I finally called them. I was on hold for 1 hour and 6 minutes before someone finally picked up. She was hard to understand, but the best I could figure is she said that they recently changed it to where they don’t accept debit cards…Credit Cards only. She told me that to upgrade I’ll have to use someone else’s credit card since I don’t have one… so If you don’t have a credit card…Don’t get SPYPOINT!!!

Honest opinion. I bought spypoint when they first rolled out and paid close to what i paid for my very first trail cam in the early 90’s, so i understand cost for innovation. I never experienced battery issues, but i do use the recommended energizers, actually my batteries lasted all season into summer. The only issue i had was when i called for support, i waited an hour and a half, but support was very good when i got thru. I then went to cabelas and saw the micro on sale for $100, that kind of explains the slow support. Regardless of support, i have bought three micros since and cant be happier for the money. Pictures are not as good as evo but i can count points! Thanks for the great product, several of my friends and i enjoy them and the referral program.

Photos won’t transfer.... I have 3 SPYPOINT cameras, photos rarely transfer. I’ve done the filmware updates regularly, all the trouble shooting tips. They will send random pictures every once in a while. I’ve watched dozens of deer standing in front of my cameras. They will take pics, they just don’t send them. They are basically just card pull trail cams. I put new batteries in all three cameras today, checked the app, updated filmware files on the cards, cameras linked and had 100% battery and service. By 11pm one camera said it has 100 pics but only 25 transferred. One other camera is showing no pics and 49% battery life after 5hrs. The third camera is showing 60% battery life and says 30 pics but none of them transferred.......if I could give negative stars I would

SPYPOINT Micro. I have had SPYPOINT the Micro for about a year now and I love the feature with sending photos right to my phone and how clear they are. The only downside I have noticed and maybe this may be on my end but after troubleshooting a few times it seems that the start up of my device has kind of slowed down over time and can now take up to 15 minutes of sitting and waiting before it begins to take photos. Other than just having to wait a little longer for it to start, all around an amazing product and would recommend, as I have several times already, to anyone!

Cannot set schedules. About two weeks ago I lost the ability to change my schedules. When I try to put a schedule in that starts in the evening and the ends in the early morning, I get a reply… We had a problem, saving your data, please retry I have been retrying daily over the last two weeks. I have deleted the app from my phone and re-download it I’ve been on hold for an hour and 20 minutes waiting for someone in customer service to answer during that time there have been a couple of announcements that said, if I would press pound, they would call me back and I would not lose my place in line. When I press pound nothing happens. I then tried the live chat left the same information after 10 minutes no response not sure what to do next.

Solid functioning app. Latest version has bugs with selecting and deleting photos. On the Photos tab, selecting all pictures in a day and then deselecting one or more pics disables the delete button. To get delete button re-enabled, you can deselect and reselect a pic while all others are selected or deselected. Then clicking the delete button will delete ALL your pics from that day - even the ones you deselected. So two bugs 1) delete button is disabled 2) unselected pics are deleted if they are in the same range as group selection (day, last week, months). Keeping in mind that people that are installing this app are people that have purchased the cameras. One annoyance is the photo deleted confirmation message. It appears over the delete button - so when you are reviewing large version of pic and delete a pic, you have to wait until the confirmation banner disappears before deleting the next pic. Slows you down. Yes, you can delete a bunch of pictures at one in the small display mode, but the banner slows you down when viewing the pics at larger display. Also the bug mentioned above messes up the mass delete function. The function to take a pic is missing. This ties in with the camera communication. You cannot instigate it through the app. You have to wait for the camera to communicate on its schedule. That means changes cannot be done on the fly - they are tied to the cameras set schedule (user set). The functions that are in the app, work well.

Decent camera but unable to get service. I have 2 link evos about a year old. Both have had issues after the batteries die. For some reason you have to reboot multiple times and leave camera on each detection so you know that it transmits before you leave the woods. Multiple times I’ve left only to have to return to reboot. That doesn’t work well when the property is 400 miles away. One doesn’t work at all. Tried all their tips and it just won’t work. IR flash stays on for 12 seconds at night and the shutter stays open I think. Pictures are horrible, but it won’t transmit those either. Kills lithium batteries in a day. I’ve tried email twice, called 3 times, and chat twice(52) in queue. No response after 2 weeks. Buy this camera knowing that it’s a little difficult to get working at times and tech support has been non existent due to overwhelming support needed for link micro according to their website.

App quit working. I see a lot of recent reviews that the app has quit working, same thing here. Funny thing is, it worked just fine until I upgraded to a month-to-month photo transmission plan. Now it is doing like others are saying, says “connecting” but never connects. I logged onto the website and tried to turn off the auto-renewal for the subscription, and it will not let me. The website doesn’t seem to work right either. Looks like they either have some serious technology issues or have a pretty good scam going here. If you are on the free plan now, DO NOT UPGRADE! It will mess up your account. The camera itself was working okay. It does have issues with condensation getting on the lens, and the pictures that are transmitted are not good quality. Haven’t pulled the SD card yet, so don’t know if the quality is better there. Bottom line is, pay a little more and buy a better camera that has an established record for proper app functionality. This app is junk, and their customer service in non-existent. I was on hold for over 45 minutes before I decided to hang up. I’ll try to email them, but I am not expecting much there either.

Where do I start?. I’ve got 6 cellular links out in the field. Worked great last year. All of them are communicating but not sending pictures. Like everyone always says, customer service is almost non existent. Takes forever to reach an agent. If they don’t feel like going through with your case, they will end the chat. But back to my cell links. I finally got ahold of a get customer service agent and he sent me a brand new cell link that was under warrantee. Awesome. 3 weeks later it stops sending pictures. 1 more week later all my cell links are communicating but not sending pictures. They try to walk you through the steps to fix it however none of them work. I’ve talked to several that walk you through the same steps and it doesn’t work. Half the time they try to beat around the bush and then end the chat. Very disappointed in this company. None of my issues have been resolved no matter how many times i’ve “chatted” with spypoint and I hope this review was helpful to steer you away from spypoint. -HC

Worth the money. The SPYPOINT micro that I have has been a great investment. The new update has some bugs that definitely need addressed. I have it set up to transmit 12x a day and I’m lucky if I get pictures sent to me in a 2 day period. It’s slow and not sending photos as it should. Hopefully a new update will come out that will fix these issues. I pay for unlimited monthly photos and I’m not too happy that it goes 2-4 days without sending photos when I know deer are all around my feeder cause I’ve been sitting in my stand watching them but never receive pictures until 2 days later. If this is how it’s going to operate then I expect to get a refund for my monthly subscription or credit to my account for these issues. Other than that the photo quality is very good and when it’s working it does great and still worth the money.

SPYPOINT Micro not sending pics to the app. Call customer service today to notify them about the issue of their cameras not uploading pictures. They told me they had no issues. That system is up and working fine which is not true. I have about 25 spy point cameras in the woods during deer season I’ll pay for a premium plan at $15 a month. I’m only receiving anywhere from 75 to about 200 photos a month this month and on average I’m usually producing 2000 photos per camera. So I set a camera up in my driveway today just to see how many times it missed photos over 56 times that I walked across the camera view and I only got two pictures today. I have brand new batteriesWith a signal of about 75% which is moreThen enough to transmit photos to app . Very disappointed in five points performance this year I will be changing all my cameras out and running new cameras. I hope spa point sounds good on their product and fixes the issue soon.

Apps not WORKING!. I am an insider member. I’m having trouble with cell links and I’ve been on the phone with Support most of the day. I’m getting notifications to my phone showing the small picture on my iPhone notification then when I open the app the pictures are not there! One tech told me I needed to update my updates are up-to-date!I don’t know what’s going on but there’s a problem ! Thanks ———————————————————— App is working better now! Hopefully it will continue to get better. I did the iso 15 update on my phone it may have helped. I’m running 14 Spypoint products. They made it threw a rough hurricane here in Louisiana must be one of the toughest conditions on cams an cell links . Lots of big trees down some hunting areas can’t get to from trees down. Long recovery ahead. Thanks for your response Spypoint!! Mack

Garbage camera. I’ve never owned a trail camera before until about a month ago. This camera (Spypoint FLEX) was recommended to me by my brother-in-law. I still have the receipt and I’m greatly reconsidering returning it. Customer service is nonexistent. The trail cam itself works and takes decent pictures but it’s hit and miss when sending pictures. Despite having 90% signal, the trail cam will not update its GPS. The spy point website states that the GPS updates daily, but I’ve had it for almost a month and it’s only updated twice. The first time it took about a week to update the location and seemed to be accurate. After about two weeks, the GPS location moved more than 200 yards to the northwest leading me to think it was stolen. I reset the camera manually and now there are no GPS coordinates at all. The website also says you can request it’s GPS location with an in app command but that is completely false. There is no “command” anywhere in this app. This app needs some polishing also. It’s mostly good but could use some functionality updates. Simple gestures an iPhone uses such as swiping to go back isn’t a thing on this app. Not necessary but would be nice. Zooming in on pictures with two finger pinch could use some help also. Sometimes glitches. The Spypoint mobile website could use some updating. It needs a drop-down menu or something to help navigate the site for products or accessories, etc.

Average overall. 50% battery used for over 800 photos at max settings and continuous photo transfers. Probably could stretch it to a couple months on easier settings. Trigger speed a little slow, missed about 20% of activity, similar to other past average priced cameras I’ve had. Wireless was fine for me. I mapped the cell towers to pick a set up spot that wasn’t too blocked, and got 100% transfer rate. 1st time setup was a little frustrating, but it worked itself out. App was simple and user friendly, but it claimed a cat was a turkey lol and only claimed 1 out of 20 doe pics as a doe. Maybe bucks work better. I loved the idea of being able to change camera settings from the phone, especially one windy days that eat up your SD card and batteries with trophy pics of shadows and swaying branches. Overall I’ve see much worse. I think it will shine best paired with a field scan or fast reliable regular camera. That way you won’t miss any SD pics at the end and yet still get a preseason peek from home into activity without disturbing your spot.

Working well. As a trail camera I would say it is average to slightly below average in picture quality and trigger sensitivity. When combined with the cellular capability and the price point I would consider this camera to be above average overall. This camera does have quirks. You need to format your SD card on your home computer before inserting into the camera. Also, if you are using AA batteries you should always use lithium. Don't use rechargeable batteries unless it is designed for this camera. My camera has been in use since early September and it is almost the end of October. My original lithium batteries are still at 100% charge and that is averaging 10+ pictures a day. I consistently have 2 bars signal strength. The app is extremely easy to use.

Customer support is non existant. Good luck if you need support (which seems to happen quite often). It can take days for a call back, the chat option is completely dysfuncftional (agents stop replying and are unhelpful). Everything is complicated. Very annoying. Broken company

Worked great untill it didn’t. I have been using these all through hunting season and they have worked great, however when a new app update came along my cameras were not able to upgrade the plans from the app and browser, I’m using these for predator control and need more than 100 photos however my plan cannot be upgraded

Bug problem. After the update i can no longer see or edit camera settings on the iphone app for spypoint. Strangely enough, going through web browser I can access settings just fine. Fix the bug please. Had no issues up until now.

Customer support. Extremely poor On hold 45 minutes When someone finally answers they know nothing about the ap. Kept putting me back on hold every time I asked a question. Would not address my problem of ap not sending a pic when it syncs. Ignored my request to speak to someone more knowledgeable.

Terrible app. The app has glitched, and will no longer connect. Keeps giving a message of “no internet connection”. This happened two weeks after signing up. And it will be the last month they ever get money from me. Complete garbage; save your money and go with something else that’s actually stable.

Used to be good. Last year. Everything worked good. But this year it barely works to get pictures.

Spy point game cam. These are the biggest POS game cams I’ve ever wasted my money and time on. Customer service to start off with is horrible, they will not fix any issues, tell me to just buy another one. Second of all the break of the wind hits them to hard! Then to top it off they last maybe one month before they will not even take pics. You’d be better off burning your money. Amazon Chinese cams blow them Out of the water and at a much better price. Save your time and money and never purchase one!

Have to close app to get new pics. As I stated in the title, you have to manually close the app and open it again to get new photos. To do this, swipe up and hold and then swipe away the app. Others have stated that you have to delete the app and reinstall to get new photos. That is not the case.

Unreliable. App often fails to show new pics. They show in the notification splash screen but won’t show up in the photos section. Only way to get them to show up is to delete the app and reinstall every few days. The pics show up fine in the web app but not on the phone. Latest version of the app is broken.

Not working. Replace the batteries on both of my cameras, they have not been working for three weeks now

Not working. The app/ cam doesn’t work. Constant problems. Less than a year old.

Probleme de communication. Ne fonctionne pas bien avec ios 15.5. Je dois supprimer et réinstaller l’application pour obtenir les photos du jour. Caméra microlink cell et cell solaire. Et ce pour iphone et ipad.

Problem. I cant see my picture anymore, when I click on Photo its says, Oops sorry...

App function. I wish the app screen would change orientation when I turn my device. If spypoint would address this I would give it 5 stars

Junk. Typical spypoint garbage. Constant issues with their devices and this app. Save you money and buy a Tactacam.

Join the club or useless. Spypoint has it set up that requires you to join the club or the camera is pretty well useless.

Not alway sending pictures to my phone. Ii

Terrible cameras. They never work, and the way you have to update them is beyond ridiculous. Tacticam from here on out for me. Everyone I know is doing the same.

Updates aren’t always good. I just updated yesterday and now the app won’t open up.

Cold weather. Complete junk in cold weather. Can’t seem to get any help assistance either..

Update. Did a update now can’t access my cameras

👍. Every thing works the way it should.

App problem.

Great App - One Request!. So far this app does everything as advertised, and it’s a breeze to use… …with *one* exception: PLEASE can we get bulk delete?!?! When I have a ton of photos uploaded to my account, I *really* want to be able to check all the photos I don’t need, and tap Delete. And a Select All button would complement this feature nicely! It drives me nuts sitting there tapping the trash can, and then confirming the delete photo by photo by photo by photo…ad nauseam. It actually makes me feel nauseous. Add that feature and I’ll give you five stars as soon as the update installs!! Cheers

Won’t log in on my new pro max 13. I just upgraded my phone from a Samsung which this app worked amazingly on, to the new iPhone 13 pro max . I have 4 cameras out in the fields and can’t see them. I have login on my phone no matter how many times I change my password or anything and it won’t work, but I can go back to my Samsung and it will open instantly. please advise if there’s a patch for this very disappointed that I have cameras and I’m gonna have to carry two phones just to have this app to work

I can’t sign up. I can’t sign up

Forced update for “Bug fixes” aka ads. Forced update for “Bug fixes” aka ads

Problem with the application. I’ve been calling five times at SPYPOINT and no one is able to fix my problem, they always say that they are going to call me back in 24 hours and they NEVER DID

Poor customer service. I have reached out to SPYPOINT several times to resolve issues with my camera. There online support is terrible. After waiting for ten mins for a rep to come online they ask the same question repeatedly like they are not reading your message at all. Then the rep disconnected from the chat because he had to wait three minutes for a response. Apparently their time is much more valuable than mine. The issue is unresolved an I still have a camera that will not send photos yet I am paying for photos to be sent. I think I will go back to my tacticam cameras.

Buyer beware. Bought a cell link, brand new at Canadian tire, doesn’t work completely defective, customer service goes thru policy and deems product replaceable, then they tell me oh sorry it’s out of 2 year warranty , I said I just bought it, they said ya but Canadian tire bought it 3 years ago so it’s out of warranty !!!!! Insane!!! Basically they cut the chat off and told me to take it back to Canadian tire… No customer support whatsoever, I wasted at least 3 -5hours trying to make camera work Witt updates and troubleshooting, then another 1.5 hours with Spypoint to be told sorry for the inconvenience Not happy

Problem. I updated my app and lost all my cameras how do I fix this

Link-micro. La caméra ne transmet plus de photos

Terrible. Garbage app, constantly freezing on pointless advertisements for their lousy products instead of, you know, actually showing the pictures the lousy camera took.

Crappy cameras. Three cameras over 3 years - all have failed within the year - done with Spypoint!

Tech support. Used to be great support when you dealt with people in Quebec now like most company’s the support has moved off shore where you can’t understand the tech support when speaking and they always try to get you to do the down loads to fix any problems, own multiple cameras from spy point but will not be buying any more if this is how the company is moving forward

Good & Bad. I was happy with my two cameras. I do use them as security. They seemed to be doing the job fairly well. It’s too bad there’s at least a one minute delay between taking photos. Lots can happen in one minute. However since the forced update, I’ve been having issues. First, I do like the redesign of the app. It makes it a lot easier to see your basic information. But, the cameras don’t seem to be working as they should. One: They’re not taking photos when I know there’s activity in front of the camera. Two: when I have it on multi shot, I’m only getting one photo not two. Three: I get notifications saying there’s x amount of photos but they’re isn’t as many as it says. Yes, I have a decent signal. Yes, my batteries are good. I wonder if it’s the new app or if my cameras are failing.

Créer un compte. Je ne peux pas créer un compte avec l’appli IOS Je n’ai pas d’option

Scam artists. Even if a $500 camera. Even if you buy the premium subscription. It still wont take high quality photos. Sorry, they take them! Spypoint just wont show you unless you spend more money. Also stop logging me out every 2 weeks.

Alert tones for app. App works well for me, but it would be very handy to have customizable alert tones, as I use a couple of my cameras for security, and I would like to set a louder tone so it will wake me when I’m sleeping, or loud enough to alert me when I’m a distance away from my phone. Other than that, the app works well for me.

App no longer shows cameras. The app was working really well until I updated it. Thinking maybe it was my phone, I tried another phone — same thing. I can see pictures but i can’t interact with the cameras. The website works but I don’t carry a laptop to the woods And on top of that 3 of my 6 cameras no longer connect to the network. Beyond frustrating; when they work they’re great, but they seem to fail more often than anyone else’s.

Junk no one buy these products. Have spend lots of money on these cameras they were great at first had to replace most after 1 year of use now nothing is working everything is down I have updated everything. Been trying for weeks to get ahold of support and never get an answer back. I suggest if your in the market for a cell camera to STAY AWAY FROM THESE.

Terribly unimpressed. This is now the second camera i have bought. Have not been able to get either of them to take pictures, yet alone send them to my phone!!!!

L’application ne fonctionne plus. Deux étoiles parce que l’application fonctionnait bien avant. Depuis une semaine elle n’ouvre plus sur mon iPhone.

Awesome tool. We as hunters need as much help as we can get when it comes to finding and tracking animals . This game cam makes things allot easier so I can monitor the bush without being there to pull SD cards to see if there was movement or not . I will be buying more

No working. I downloaded the app, it does not let me log in. Is this a common problem?

Recent update broke app. App used to function fine until several days ago. Now the app crashes during startup on iOS. Not the first time Spypoint has pushed a broken update to the App Store.

The worst camera-don’t waste your money. SPYPOINT is literally the worst camera we’ve ever had. It was our first cellular camera and right away we were super disappointed with the photo quality compared to our Browning trail cams. The camera often took pictures of nothing and no matter how we adjusted the settings it just kept happening. Of course that would use up our photo allowance so we’d have to purchase more. The customer service is horrible; it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone and when we finally did they were no help at all. It didn’t matter that we had purchased less than 2 months, there was no refund offered even though our problems were never resolved. The app randomly logs out and now I can’t log back in even though I am putting in the correct information. This year we purchased a Reveal Tacticam which takes way better pictures. We’ll be replacing our two SPYPOINT cameras with Tacticam. Don’t waste your money on the SPYPOINT!!!

SPYPOINT camera. When first purchased was ok took some time to get camera mounted to take most effective pictures, actually did pretty good but then it stopped uploading pictures about 5 months of use and app said all was good battery’s we’re good service was good, took down and found that the one half of the battery’s were down to just .2 voltsper battery but the other grouping was 1.5 per battery. Changed battery’s and updated to new firm ware now camera hardly captures anything but when the tree moves due to wind walking in front and getting a picture is about a 50/50 depending we’re you are like to the lower left of the pic, before update work great though 🤨

Good camera, bad servers. I've had my first camera installed for a few weeks now—very impressed with the battery life so far. The problem is the servers the app uses—often I will get a notification that pictures were just taken, but twice now, the app hangs after launch until it reports "no internet connection"—despite the in-app Google maps working, and being on my home WIFI. I bought this camera to secure our property from vandalism and wish their servers were more reliable. Update: The company has been on top of the outage and I appreciate their updates on Twitter.

Bug issues with latest version. I am having the same deletion issue mentioned in the previous comment when try to delete multiples and deselect. It deletes even those you do not have checked and causes you to lose images you wanted to keep with no way to retrieve. Additionally the latest version sends badge and push notifications that there are new photos and when you log in they are not in the app and often don’t appear for hours or the next day. You know they are there to generate the notification but the images are not available or synced up in app.

Link dark. I have little to no trouble with my link dark. Set up was easy along with connectivity, I did add a cable lock, solar panel and signal booster just for a little extra secure feeling. Batteries work great unless you set it up to transmit every photo, then they drain a little faster. The pics sent are okay, id love better quality but every other cell cam I’ve seen is also 12mp so I’m assuming every cell cam will have close to the same resolution. I recommend buying it though. For the price you can’t beat it.

Latest version. I am receiving triple pictures every night from the cameras. It will send for example 800 pics but there is only 200 new ones. Also when your scrolling through those 800 pics it will send you back to first of that day instead of going on into yesterday and if your not careful you will be reviewing the same pictures over and over and over. So example would be in the albums section it shows today yesterday today yesterday today yesterday last week. It should only have today yesterday last week.

Older version was way better. I updated to the latest version of SPYPOINT link, the app operates very slow, you have to select each picture individually to delete if your deleting photos the same day they were uploaded, live chat dose not work, and I can not get my camera to swap over from photo to video! The older version was better nothing but problems since updating! And don’t call the phone number on their website because it is not their number, no that number belongs to some type of psychic hotline!! Finally got to talk to someone after trying a different number and being on hold for the better part of an hour, still did not get my issues fixed, App is still messed up, and it appears as though SPYPOINT is not concerned about it at all!!!

It’s fine. Camera is pretty good, batteries drain pretty fast....once they are below 50% it has a hard time transmitting photos, and it gets worse in cold weather. Pictures aren’t high quality but they’re ok enough. Decent camera for the price. Customer service seems ok when they camera isn’t working, they’ll give you 3 months for free. Don’t love it but i like it due to the convenience. I give them the benefit of the doubt for how new this technology is. If i was to buy another camera i might pay more money for the higher end as far as a transmitter camera, but with this one I’ve only had 2-3 complaints. I don’t NOT recommend this camera but at the same time i don’t really recommend it. I’m pretty alright with it for now.

Don’t waste your time or money. Here’s to my first apple review after owning an iPhone for 8 years. I’ve owned multiple trail cameras, and this brand won for the biggest waste of my time and money. They don’t work below 25 degrees Fahrenheit, and if it rains.. good luck lol. Works 50% of the time on a good day. Then you have to buy this app after you purchase a SPYPOINT camera, not only do you pay for the camera, you pay for this app, plus $5 for every 50 pictures after you get 100 “free”. You can pay $100 a year for a “pro membership” but still have to pay $4 for 50 pictures (what a deal). Nothing but a money guzzler and stress! I just want to see my deer live!! I have 3 of these cameras, all are a different type but they are all SPYPOINT brand. Disappointing.

works well (*). the camera works well, transmits photos, app communicates well with the cameras, etc... I ended up buying the CA-01 antenna for both my evo link cameras and that has added 1 bar of reception quality... the only hang up I have is the quality of images that the camera transmits.. I get that the best quality images are accessible by pulling the card from the camera and downloading with an SD card reader, but surely there is a happy medium in quality between the high quality images saved and the low quality images transmitted...you guys can come up with something I’m sure...I’ll gladly update the review if it is addressed... thank you guys -

Terrible. I’ve never reviewed an app before. But since this one is for my deer hunting buddies I’d figured I’d talk about it. Purchased camera 4 days ago due to salesman telling me this is the greatest camera ever. Unfortunately I have yet to receive a picture through the app or even be able to connect to it, sd card pulls reveal low quality pics. Better pics on a $50 camera. I had high hopes for this camera (best thing since sliced bread deal) however I was really wrong. You get a free 30 day trial and I’m now on day 5 without any pictures at all. I’ve been communicating with tech support for 2 days on how to fix it and they literally have told me to check the same 3 things over and over. Very very poor app and product. Will be returning for a refund. Guess it’s back to the old school way.

Disappointed. I now have 2 of the SPYPOINT micro series cameras. At first I was thrilled with the camera and the pictures, however for the last 3 months I have not been able to keep my cameras communicating. One is damaging the 3rd pin on the micro sd cards from something, I can’t explain why. Both cameras will work when I am standing in front of them but soon after leaving and returning home they both will stop sending / taking pictures. One camera is now 1 year old bought in Sept 2020 and the most recent was purchased last week Sept 2021. I love quite a few miles from where we hunt hence the reason for the cellular camera but if I have to drive out to them once a week it defeats the purpose.

Customer service is horrible camera works hopefully I don’t have issues. I only gave it 2 stars due to my camera working perfectly but we have a link evo that wouldn’t send pictures sent it back and they said they fixed it after a hassle and still not sending so we put it away reluctantly bought a different one and have had no issues tried getting the other fixed again and have had a run around for over a month and them wanting me to pay $100 again for something they never fixed then was told I would be credited $25 for my inconvenience to which I have never received. Local sports shop has said they have same issues and were debating continuing to carry the product

Spypoint is a failure!!!. Spypoint is the biggest failure I’ve ever had to deal with. I’ve had more reliable success with a $30 trail cam. Good luck getting in touch with an actual person in customer support while you wait on average 45 minutes to an 1 hour before you actually speak to someone; next step issue is having to speak with one of their “customer support” people that clearly are completely uneducated and ignorant about their product; finally... I’ve had to go through this misery 5 different times now and have only spoke to one person that’s capable of speaking English well. The camera tends to work when it want to and the app is even worse! I have the unfortunate opportunity dealing with the link micro...

Horrible. This trail camera and app are horrible! The cameras continues to lose signal and is very unreliable.. This has been the worst set up in the trail camera game. definitely not worth the money for either device. Exactly I’m just trying to respond to the KM. I have tried the booster with no luck! Just a bunch of wasted money for this setup!! I know others who have had this same setup and say after a few months it stops working! At least they got a few months ours hasn’t been reliable since day one. I have never been so disappointed in something before. You definitely need to fix and find a issue before moving forward!! Save your money and don’t go with this setup!!!!

Works great. I have Link W. Battery life is very good. I really like that I can change the settings from my phone with this app and check battery life and signal strength from home. The extra 60 bucks higher than the micro is well worth it to me. I have two of them and have been saved going to my stand when my phone alerted me to a deer there already. I had to adjust the delay to three minutes on one of them because I got too many pics. Was great to reset it from the house and can manage both of them thru the app

App not working. App has been very buggy lately…no notifications on my phone but there are pics…or when you go to view pics it goes back to the list of pics & you can’t zoom in on any…my settings do not stay selected…for a few days it did not show any pics then it loaded all the pics for that 24hr period all at one time…or this morning, it’s saying “no internet connection” on my phone & that just isn’t true. Both phone & cameras have good signal & battery. Cameras have no issues other than having to update the older ones firmware once in a while.

Not what I thought. This camera is nice, but I feel the quality of the pictures should be better. They are to small and not very clear, unless a animal is real close to the camera. I see where I can get HD pictures for a price, and for more money I can save pictures to a favorite file. I paid over a hundred dollars and pay the standard package for the pictures. I realize its all about making money. But really I have pay extra for HD pictures, and being able to save them? I mean it’s nice, sitting at home and get pics of the deer a hundred miles away! but pic quality is poor, and have to pay for quality pics. just seems a little to greedy and over priced.

Battery life. A little disappointed in internal battery life Really thought lithium batteries would keep cameras operational much longer. The intent of having these cameras is to see what is coming and when. Therefore a delay of three minutes between photos is desired with immediate notification of picture taken. The batteries lasted less than a week. The only way to get around this is to buy 12v batteries and cables and link to them and a solar panel to keep batteries charged. A significant additional expense. The app itself is great.

Steep decline in quality. It was amazing for 3 years but the past year I have noticed a dramatic fall off in app and website quality. Crashing, random deletion of photos and devices, deleting way more photos than I selected. I’ve updated all firmware and everything is working as best it can from my end but it is as if they have ceased all maintenance and development on the site and app. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this company although I had previously persuaded my brothers, father, and multiple coworkers to invest in the SPYPOINT platform. I don’t know which I will switch to but I can no longer lose valuable data by constant bugging. Not to mention picture backups aren’t stored on the device anymore.

App not updating pictures correctly. I’ve been using this for over a few months time and about 3 weeks into it, the app stopped getting current pictures. It will send notifications about new images, but they will not populate in the photos section of the app. I’ve talked to CS and they told me to just use the website to look at pictures. It’s going to be difficult for a technological company to compete when their technology interface doesn’t work and they don’t fix it. I bought the products for the promise of ease of viewing my pictures through smart devices, but I’m limited to having to get on a computer and log into a website instead.

Great Camera. I️ have had my eye on this company for awhile but was hesitant to purchase due to some of the reviews I️ have read. I️ bought the EVO Link and as of this review extremely happy with it. I️ just in West Texas have have s solid 2 bars with AT&T. The app could use a little work, but everything syncs and can be easily viewed. I️ have found that if your patient after making camera changes until the next sync it works great. I️ had one challenge when trying to make a lot of changes at one time. I️ would highly recommend this company and would buy more if my wife would let me

Poor tech-support. I was having issues with my spy point flex camera taking pictures randomly every few hours nothing in them. For example, I will get a picture at 1 AM exactly then another picture 9 AM then another picture at 5 AM. I chatted with a tech representative, but did not resolve the issues. It was almost like I was chatting with an AI, then a real person. I have my settings on the camera to send a check in picture at 5 PM only but I get check in pictures at least six times a day. The rep was no help so I told them that I was canceling my subscription and going to Stealth Cam instead and pay the same amount for even more pictures a month.

LINK MICRO. I have used these cameras and their app for four years now. Various bugs and short comings but generally good. The latest, which has started in the last month, or two, is in the transmitted photos. On both my iPhone and ipad SOME of the photos are not clear enough to even read the sub scripts. They sometimes are and sometimes are not. I can not determine which ones or when this problem occurs. One may be clear on my ipad but not in my iPhone, visa versa, or both. Next time they are viewed the are or are not clear. This is only evident in the individual photos, again sometimes in portrait, sometimes landscape.

Not the best. I have four cameras set and I had two of them two years ago and two last year. The pictures are not the best quality, but you can see what is there. I had one of my newer cameras quit sending me pictures, but the camera says it has 50% to sometimes 90% and sometimes 25% signal and it was going through batteries in a week or less. Then now I have one of my older cameras doing the same thing. I tried the live chat with someone at SPYPOINT, but I got no response. I will be canceling my membership due lack of support from SPYPOINT.

Latest version issues not fixed October 7th 2022. Well I downloaded the latest version hoping the issues were resolved and they are not. Last year 2021 I never had issues. Now in the past 6 months I’ve yet to be able to access the camera section. I press the “cameras” at bottom left hand side and it’s still saying “oops something went wrong. Reload and try again” well I will never purchase another SPYPOINT camera. I have 6 cameras and I can’t even set the settings or anything unless I login on safari. I don’t need y’all to reply. Just would like my money back for the club membership I purchased along with all the cameras and yearly subscriptions. A lot of money I’ve spent that has been thrown away. You guys should definitely fix these issues.

Camera. The cameras are great as long as they work but if you start having problems that is a different story I spent 3 hours on a computer jumping through hoops that they read off a card to correct the problem. Nothing worked I requested a return authorization to sent it back. Still patiently waiting on it. Then I get a email from them saying sorry I am having problems is there anything they can do. Still waiting patiently. Now I have a 2nd camera not working thinking of changing to a different brand. When they work they are great. I have 4. Very hard to deal with when u have problems

My brand new camera. I just got my camera on it I’m on the website, My first impression and I noticed the writing on the web website is very small when it does not need to be so far I cannot find a way to enlarge it even my writing on On this response is four times bigger than your note under the stars tap a starter rate. Hope this helps it would sure help me and I’m sure others. The response was to use my mouse Apple sent me a response that is not what I’m talking about I’m talking about using my iPhone I can barely see the writing it will not in large thank you.

Poor product and service. Over the last 3 years we had 7 spypoint link micro’s. The first year we were fairly happy with the product, aside from poor battery life there were no major issues. Had a few 3, I believe replaced under warranty due to moisture behind the lenses( that seems to be common with these camera’s). Even 12v battery boxes with solar chargers did nothing to remedy the battery issues. Then last year at the start of deer season the company pushed a firmware update that fully crashed every one of our cameras. After long waits on hold to deal with customer service we decided to replace all of the cameras with another brand. The camera cost and plan cost is not worth the hassles you will face with this product.

Alerts and camera failure. I have purchased over 15 of these cameras different models and some of the same. Their cellular capability works sometimes but not with the reliability that I need, batteries die extremely quick even on the lowest settings and out of the 15 cameras 11 have failed completely. The first cameras I bought are the ones still working and that was four years ago clearly they have started to outsource their work to a manufacture to lower cost. And they have sacrificed quality. Trying to get somebody on the phone to get the issue resolved is impossible it took me six months to get two replaced and the two they sent me never worked. I highly recommend against this for any medium to large scale area. 1 or 2, May be ok. But nothing more.

Good, could be better. The app is mostly working as advertised but with just a little tweaking could be better. For example, why doesn’t it show the current count of images stored on the card? It shows % of data card utilized, not very useful but they must know how many pics are on it to calculate that number. It also shows number of pics transferred this month. How about adding “number remaining with current plan” and “day of the month when this number resets”? Simple things to make it much better AND would encourage people to buy the upgraded plans. Also, online help never seems to work, nothing happens when selected from within the app.

Hard to get warranty work.. Have two. Both worked for a year. But one stopped working. It was long waits on phone to trouble shot. Did everything I was told to do, and still didn’t work. Called three different times trying to trouble shot problem. They finally offered to have me return for warranty work, but needed to prove when, where I bought it. Hard to do when it was a gift. So they denied me warranty work. I don’t understand. They can tell when I registered camera, just by looking at my SIM card number. Expensive disposable game cam.

Better, but still needs some tweaks to be great. The complete redo of the app is marked improvement over the prior iteration; however there are still some tweaks that need to be made. Pros: -For Link-S users, the ability to see both battery levels easily (thank you!) -Quickly see the status of every camera you have linked -Push alert photos, also focused in on target identified (awesome!!!) -Human activity target identification (also awesome!!) Cons: -Need to the ability to rotate to landscape view like the prior iteration—this is especially important for iPad users -Would like to be able to mass change settings across cameras linked (i.e. be able to change delay in one step across all cameras selected) Requests: -Ability to push setting changes to the camera rather than at the camera’s next uplink point -Perhaps like HD photos, ability to request a download of a video -I would love to see some sort of chart depicting the battery level/drain (e.g. how iPhone charts out battery levels in settings)

Just amazing. I have been overseas and in the military for 23 years and coming home for the first time in 18 years to hunt would of been 100’s of hours scouting and scouting and more scouting… I purchased four of these cameras and it has saved me so much on gas and scouting that they will pay for themselves over and over again by not having to change the memory cards… the quality of the pictures are amazing and can detect deer through a fence over 30 meters away…a must buy for any age hunter wanting to minimize the footprint and human dentin there hunting areas

Communication??. Cameras with strong batteries and great signal loose communication at times when I gout to location without ever touching the camera. Had been getting great pictures and just needed to check feeding area. It did not even take a picture of me putting out more feed and totally stopped communicating. Have tried to change multiple settings and save in hope of getting it to come back on line without having to go back and turn camera off and on again. Frustrating!!!

Disappointed ( update 9/12). Camera appears to take decent pics but like others, my camera has yet to sync after two days in the field. Expensive for a trailcam but even more so with the sync option out of play. I ran the diagnostics through the sd card and found that the SIM card was inserted incorrectly, I removed the card and inserted it the correct way and the camera has been performing great! The camera was shipped this way, even though it was activated it could not be read or transmit. A simple fix and possible solution for others with a similar problem.

Buggy app & terrible customer service. I paid $99 for “VIP Customer support” and yet all 3 times I have called, the agents seem to have no idea what they are talking about. They don’t seem to understand simple problems, and repeatedly give you instructions for other problems/camera models. For instance, one agent insisted an LED color/blinking pattern meant I had low battery when A) the light guide printed on the camera said it meant something different , B) there is a SEPARATE battery icon with LEDs to indicate battery level, and C) I had 3 forms of full battery power before I called - Solar, rechargeable Lithium, and external 12V battery hookup. When I pointed this out, she just said “now that we have powered cycled the camera it’s working again” and tried to end the call. As if that solved or gave any explanation for the recurring problems. Oh, and she so helpfully then suggested if the problem recurred, to simply power cycle the camera again — as if driving to field climbing a tree every time this happened was a viable solution. STAY AWAY! These people clearly have no common sense and don’t give a cr@p whether they actually help you

Spypoint Link - S: Bad app. I really want to like this camera. Fast pic times and the app however the app has some major problems. Even though I have the all set to ‘instant’ notification when the camera takes a pic I get a message like, “You have 19 notifications” or “ You have 38 notifications” and they all happened awhile ago. Another problem is if you don’t delete all of your pics I get notifications all day, numerous times stating I have “new notifications” and when I open the app it is just the same old pics that have been on there preciously and if I don’t delete them all I will keep getting the notifications. Also, when you delete all of the images I’ve found in a few hours all of the deleted pics will be back on the app again like I never removed them and I will start getting notifications. Lastly there isn’t a “delete all” button. You can only delete pics 30 at a time and if you have a few hundred or thousand pics that can take forever. So that is 5 major problems with this camera and it’s app and all of the problems so far have been the app.

Great camera for the money. I did some research on the camera before I made my decision. The only bad thing I heard was battery life was poor, so when I bought my cameras I also got the battery pack and a solar charger, For 2 months I didn’t have to go check anything but from the comfort of my house/work or anywhere I was, One day I noticed one of the cameras started getting foggy looking on the images, when out and investigated, ant had gotten into camera, I took the camera apart cleaned all the ants out and the camera started working again... So great product

Love it. Got my first Link-EVO in Nov ‘17 to try. Was greatly impressed, enough that i have purchased 3 more since. Had a couple bugs with the app but they have/are being resolved. Most critical thing is reliable cell service for the model you are using! Make sure you set everything up at HOME before you drive 2 hrs and slap it onto a tree!! Mine have saved me enough on gas money not having to drive 45 min each way to ck on cams that im about ready to but another!! All these folks that say they hate these, just send them my way!!!

POOR Customer Service. Iv had my micro link for a few months now, I am on a monthly plan, when it came time for my monthly payment I noticed my CC was charged more than my plan, I have contacted SPYPOINT thru email and finally got thru on the phone, I received emails back but still nothing back on the Overcharge, when I called they said I would get an emai from the within 48 hrs, we’ll it’s been almost 4 days and nothing, and if you decide to call be prepared for a Loonngg wait!!!!! And watch your CC for over charges from them you might want to turn off the auto renewal

Camera is great. App not so much.. Let me start by saying I love my Spypoint camera’s. This review is strictly about the app. It is pretty much unusable if you want to get up to date pictures from your camera. I get notifications constantly and get on the app to see absolutely nothing new. I then can log in to the website and see many new pictures. I finally just gave up on the app and use the website. The only bad thing about it is you have to log in every time you do so. The idea of an app is great but it’s really not keeping up with incoming pictures. At the end of the day isn’t that why we all get cell cameras?

Eal956. Great cameras. Have six cameras in total. I have activated 4 and so far I’ve had no issues. Seem to work great so far. Beats the two hr drive just to go check my existing cameras. Had them for just under 3 weeks and no problems. Recommend them to my in-laws and again they are happy with the product. Only thing I would like that the cameras would have would be an instant trigger for setting up or just to check at that instant what is out there. For that reason I gave a 4 star rating.

Quality. Link-Micro-S-LTE camera got, about it is, the quality- most pictures are pixelated (90% of them). The rest are ok. Check the card on computer— the pictures are clearly not pixelated. Explain that one. Would be nice to see the animals clearly, that’s why we got these cameras to send the pics to our phones. Had to deal with customer service once and it wasn’t even for my camera sat on the phone for 2 1/2 hours on hold, by 3 hours some mins it finally hung up on me. it’s just ridiculous. Get your crap together people. And there’s one other thing: when you PAY for the service they DON’T TELL you about an additional FEE that they’re charging you on your debit/credit card!!!!!!!!!! Beware of the extra charges on your statements! If I would of known, I would have gone a different route. I know there was no way I was getting my money back!!!!!! Neither was the other two people that set up their cameras at the same time I did. They had the extra charges too, in different amounts(it was a separate charge just to be clear). When my year is up I’m looking for a different camera with a different service!

Poor, poor quality camera and customer service. Purchased camera in August, went through the free trial SPYPOINT offers and camera worked good, the free month went out and started paying for premium package and that’s where the problems started!!!! Camera stopped communicating with app (last communication was October 6 and here I am a month later after emailing CS and getting it’s a “software issue”, followed those instructions to the letter and camera still not working. Emailed SPYPOINT again and still no response. The huge question I have is why is that the camera worked fine with the software that was installed for the “free month” and after that’s over the camera don’t work because of software......BULL, not buying it. Save your pennies a little longer and buy a better camera!!!!!!

Needs work. Not sure it's the app or the Link Evo camera but I have had a terrible experience. I have spent three days trying to get my camera to sync with my app and still have not got it. I had multiple conversations with the support team and they have not been able to figure it out. Also the app has several bugs. For example if you got to settings and select timelapse and set the time to 5 minutes and save your changes the next time you open that screen it does not save the time. Also agree with the other review about having to sign in every time. I like the idea and the design of the app is pretty good but performance is terrible. My cell phone is also with AT&T and I never have any signal issues but the camera and app struggle. Keep improving it but it's not ready yet.

Not happy at all. I was excited to get this product and made sure to follow all the steps to properly set this device up. It still doesn’t work and will not send photos to my phone. After troubleshooting a couple of times the only thing that it could be is that I was sent a bad SD card that connects the cell link to my camera and surprise surprise you can not just get a new card. I’ve tried “chatting” on their website and all I keep getting is timed out and a message that says we are sorry we were unable to connect. Every time I call it’s a 45 plus minute wait to talk to someone. At this point I feel like this purchase was a waist of time and money.

Update. For the love of God please make an adjustment to your system or whatever you have to do! Please! Can the app or camera let you know when the camera needs an update. I’ve had numerous cameras sitting out on the woods, not sending any pictures and finding out it needs an update. I just think it’s crazy you’re using a satellite to send pictures to my phone but there’s no way to notify me that my camera needs an update. Love the cameras but I would really love to have this issue fixed. Hope this gets to the proper department. Thank you!

Camera is good, app not so much. The camera itself has been great. I had it set up to send twice a day (6am and 6pm) and never missed a day. I just changed to send pictures as they’re taken and still perfect. The problem is the app. It used to make me type in login credentials about every 2-3 times even though I would click remember me. Now I am having to type out my log in information EVERY SINGLE TIME. Even with the remember me tab clicked. I understand security but this isn’t a bank account... it’s a trail camera! Please fix. It’s annoying to have to log in each time!

Horrible design. After spending quite a bit of time waiting for customer a service chat I was informed that a camera that uses a LTE signal needs to be hooked into a computer for a firmware update I can’t do it thru the app or use an iPhone or iPad. That’s just a horrible design especially since I don’t own a computer. Shouldn’t a camera that hooked into LTE be able to update itself? If you put stuff like that on the front of the trail camera box, how many would you sell? Update:Thanks for the developer response but it just proves that this is a badly engineered product,Not only do I need a PC to get a wireless LTE trail cam running but I need a PC that accepts an SD card. Put that on the front of the box and see how many cameras you sell.

Crappy camera and customer service. Bought the first camera never worked they had to send me a new one. Works every once and a while with 3 bars and full battery life. App don’t work right I have deleted and reinstalled multiple times. I am beyond frustrated to be paying for a service and can’t get pictures and all they tell me is to go get my camera which isn’t close to me at all which is the point isn’t it so they can try and fix it yet again. Dad always says you get pay for and that sure does ring true with this piece of crap camera and service. I will definitely be going and paying $3-400 for a real camera with excellent customer service and a carrier that is more reliable than SPYPOINT service. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA!!!!!!!
