Bank fresh water fishing. This is not what I expected. I put in all my information. What kind of fish out like what kind of water I like how but I got the same five spots that I did when this time was free. Yeah pay I’ve got 25 places to go fishing but none of them with the criteria that I sent Can Lights I said a maximum of 50 miles Well it went from 50 mile to 450 miles. Very disappointed.

Why did I pay for premium if no premium layers work. This app is super glitchy. When I first downloaded it seemed promising but of course the second I started paying for the premium version, it stopped working as advertised. The hot spots layer does not work, AT ALL. Once you select this layer, it also makes the waterways layer not work. Only thing that works is the waterways layer. If I just needed to know where waterways were I would just look at google maps and use my eyeballs, not pay for an app to tell me something that’s clear as day.

Location features. Great app just wish you could type in an exact location

Don’t sign up for a free trial or subscription unless you want a headache. There is no easy way on the app or their website to see if you are subscribed so you can cancel, and you get no email notification that the free trial is enabled and will roll into a subscription. Their directions for checking if you are subscribed by using your Apple subscriptions info isn’t correct. This app wasn’t listed as a subscription of mine, and I was still charged. I contacted the support email several days ago and have yet to get a response about a refund. This app seems more and more like a scam than anything else. Be careful with this one.

Welcome to fish app want to know anything ? Pay. Geeez everything your charging for is free elsewhere ..several apps have all of what your charging for, for free so maybe you didn’t think this one thru. Matter of fact I bet your stealing info from other apps and selling it on yours ..it’s the only way you would know where people are catching fish around me or anyone else. Hope you didn’t spend too much on this great idea. It’s not great I was being sarcastic.

It's a good app. Could make it a little better.. So, I’ve been using Fishbox for about a year now, and while it’s been useful, there are a few areas where it could definitely improve. The weather forecasting is fairly accurate, and I like how you can save different fishing spots, but I’ve noticed that the app could be a bit more user-friendly, especially when it comes to managing your saved spots. For example, adding filters or a way to categorize them would be a huge help. I also think the community aspect could be enhanced—maybe a feature where you can share spots with friends or see where others have had success. The bug fixes in the latest update have made the app run smoother, which I appreciate, but I’m really hoping the developers focus on adding more customization options and perhaps some advanced features like fish activity predictions based on more localized data. Overall, it’s a good app, and I’ve been happy to use it, but I’m holding out for some of these improvements before I fully commit to a long-term subscription. Thanks to the team for their hard work—I’m sure with a few more tweaks, this app could be a real powerhouse for anglers everywhere.

Terrible customer service terrible business practice. Regrettably, if I were able to assign a zero-star rating, I would do so without hesitation. Although the application offers some valuable features, there is room for improvement. Nevertheless, the quality of customer service is severely lacking. I initially engaged with the app through a free trial subscription, which I later attempted to cancel a day or two before its expiration. Despite my cancellation, the company proceeded to charge my debit card on the final day of the trial, disregarding the active status of the trial and my cancellation. Their rationale for this action included claims of having two subscriptions – one through the app and another through the web. However, I did not authorize a web-based subscription. Although the company later confirmed this upon reviewing the email address used, they persisted in refusing to retract the charge, despite my cancellation prior to the trial's conclusion.

Terrible - horrible customer service. I downloaded it for fishing maps and hot spots. Hardly enough to be impactful but the worst part was the customer service. Tried to cancel 3 days into my 7 day free trial and it was near impossible. I emailed them and no one responded. Tried online, no response. I purchased through stripe and that platform didn’t work. They charged my card and I have yet to receive a response from my 3 emails. There is no number to call. Save yourself the money and headache because the info isn’t even that good.

Worst app ever. Most unhappy with this Fishbox trial. I agree with what everybody else wrote. I tried to cancel it, and I was still charged. I found the app stupid and unhelpful and a waste of time and money. If anything good can come out of my experience its that maybe you won’t have this experience and you will avoid this app at all costs. Fishbox, don’t you wish you would’ve responded to my cancellation request before I had to leave this awful review for your app?

I canceled my subscription and still was charged.. I was interested in app. I did the 7 day trial, and signed up for the subscription. After a couple of days i cancelled, the subscription. I was the doubled charged. This happened last week. Then today they tried to take out another payment. But I was able to get the charge blocked. This app will still your money.

Less valuable then marketed. The fishing spots do not show up on map after purchase. To contact company and tell them any problems the page will freeze and not allow communication after purchase the fishing spots go away. Also No Tide information so still need to use the internet, basically got tricked into the app for the fishing spots but the disappeared after I bought the 12 month deal. Not very good utilization of time checking app when internet has more information on individual free sites.

AI staff?. For 28 bucks a year. I suppose it’s ok. But, the limiting of info to hotspots only is ludicrous. I am in the Sierra National Forest and have literally 4-5 huge lakes within 30 miles and countless smaller lakes. The only thing that shows up is the river. Not one lake has information on species, lures, etc. the closest other hotspot is 70 miles away. For an app that costs money, that’s embarrassing. Also, the AI generated responses shows these guys don’t care at all about this app.

Good app, but... I like the app but it would be nice to not have to pay to see the best fishing spots. I mean, I could just look that up! Personally, I think it would be cool if you could just type in a location and it give information about the area. Overall I deem the app good and useful but could be tweaked.

Impossible Customer Service. I signed up for the 7-day trial for $1. Per their website, I emailed their support email address to cancel on the 5th day of my trial. I also completed the “Contact Us” form. No response from either. On the 6th day I re-emailed the support. No response. On the 7th day I was charged the full subscription amount. I called the phone number on my bank statement for Fishbox, and was forced to leave a voicemail. I did—no response. I also emailed them for a 3rd time. I am now on my 9th day with no response. Don’t sign up for trial because it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get any customer support.

Very hard to cancel subscription. Apparently I’m not enrolled from Apple or google but on the internet something called stripe never heard of it. Yes I tried to do the free trial saw that the apps fishing forecast was definitely inaccurate so I tried to cancel the trial. Couldn’t figure out how I even emailed them asking to cancel. By the time I figured out what I thought was how they have tried charging me. Now I don’t know what’s going on cause the app is still active. Also I spoke to an agent of there’s asking for assistance and after they told me there solution that I tried already that didn’t work I told them I tried it didn’t work they said I don’t know. Definitely do not recommend them I wish I could post my screenshot of the conversation

Buy knowing This app is only good for the knots. Not sure why the weather and waves are not accurate little disappointed the knots are cool but the forecast to areas and wave height is in complete left field today they have a small craft marine warning and the wave map say less than a foot and no marine warning on this app but every other weather app has it

Literally A Bait and Switch. This app doesn't give secret fishing spots. Nor does it have videos for the knots. In the preview I saw, a video came up with how to tie the knot. I'm so disappointed. There are free apps out there that can give you the solunar information. I thought I was getting info inn where to fish locally. Totally not the case. You're better off saving your money and downloading Bass Forecast.

Not worth it. I signed up last year and found it very helpful for new fishermen. Different species have different conditions for when they bite and this app use to help with that. But the option to change species has been disabled for months and no idea when it’s coming back. Without being able to switch species this app is no better then a free fishing app. Don’t waste your money on this app until they update their app to include the different species.

False advertising. The map and weather on this app is a nice feature, but I’m actually disappointed this app doesn’t have the feature about recommended bait and lures for different fish which was actually advertised? Pretty shady considering you’re paying good money for this app.. hopefully this feature will be added soon or I’ll be cancelling my subscription. For that I’ll give it two stars

Nothing good at all.. Like I know where to fish around where I live. I signed up for the paid subscription and then realized it was a waste. I can check the weather on my phone or better yet just go outside. I was hoping this would be more informative about what to use around me. You are better off going to a bait shop and talking to people about what’s best in your area. Has potential but nowhere close yet.

Paying, but Want More Updates!. Used the app for a long time free, mostly just checking weather and saving a few spots and catches. I go fishing 1-2 times a month, so that was enough. Would be nice if they added more stuff for custom spots, like different markers, adding photos, filters, etc. Weather could use some work too, I use multiple apps to compare data, which is a pain. Would be awesome if everything was in one place. Then they added an assistant feature, so I tried premium. Overall, liked it. It's cool that you can ask questions in the app and give feedback right away, not through email. Also nice that they help with bait choices, like a store consultant :) Started using the fishing forecast more, but noticed it doesn't work well everywhere. In one spot, it was great for a month, in another, not so much. But you can see they’re constantly tweaking the algorithm, probably why they haven’t had time to improve the custom spots feature. Anyway, I’m happy with the app, it helps and I like it. Willing to pay for premium, but looking forward to updates. It’s great to see a team that’s not just out to make money but is genuinely committed to creating a useful product!

Christian. I’m trying to click the link to contact you guys and it won’t work. I just opened the app after paying for one year and all it lists are the major lakes in my area which are 15 miles plus away from me and all I want are local ponds and lakes. I signed up 15 minutes ago and would like to cancel my subscription and get a full refund. Thank you Christian

Forces you to buy it. I thought I could get a free trial version without the catch of auto signing you up for a billing cycle…this isn’t really a great idea to firstly take almost exactly what Fishbrain did and then on top of that to force the people who get through the “slideshow” to make a purchase at the end. I tried closing the app and it ended up making me purchase it instead after hitting my home button. Fix this issue and I’ll fix my review. That was shady, good sir!

Cancel trial. App was decent but for me not worth the price. I went to cancel the trial and could not fine any button how so googles and on their site you have to email them to cancel. This always feels like a scummy tactic to try and squeeze money and then your reliant on then actually responding and ending your service.

Very informative. There is tons of information made available to us and I also appreciate the desire to make the app even better by asking the consumer what information they would like to add to the app and/or, change about the app to make it better 👍

Must-have for Newcomers.. Moving to the US from another country, I was completely unfamiliar with the local fishing spots, and even what kind of fish to expect. I took my daughter fishing multiple times, but we didn’t catch anything. After that, I decided to try this app. The app’s easy-to-use interface helped us to find good spot and right time for fishing. And the best part - my daughter caught her first fish ever using advice from Fishbox. Thank you!

good app. This is one of my favorite apps I can log catch data and see other anglers' catch dataI do also there were more fishing locations on the app, maybe perhaps use neighborhoods as a location you are fishing a pond in that area

Errors. I just started watching and already noticed several errors/inconsistencies btw the video and written directions- for example, on the cinch knot the video shows the correct way, but the written directions end w “put the end through the eye of the hook /lure”…no, you put the end through the gap between the twisted loop and the end of the hook…weird that these aren’t checked more carefully before posting on a site purporting to be expert on these techniques.

Buyer beware. If you are trying to cancel a phone app subscription, and you can’t find it, it may be because it went through on a website!! I had to track it down and cancel it that way! Really??? Plus some of the places they suggested for me to fish were far away when I set a 50 mile radius. I didn’t see many of the ones I knew about suggested. Just didn’t see this app being helpful to me. Just my experience.

This is the way to go!!!!. I really like what y’all have On Fishing it is absolutely awesome it makes life so easy on the lake thank you. I like the fishing data the weather data I like the way y’all put what lures to use the temperature of the water is just phenomenal even like the way y’all find fishing holes for the beginners so they can go and catch a fish and have an enjoyable time thank you.

Where’s Customer Service?. I downloaded the app for the free trial. I went to cancel it the same day, but it did not appear in my Apple subscriptions. I emailed customer service to have them cancel the free trial. Waited. No news. Found it pending in my checking account and was quite perturbed. Went through the whole app said something about swipe so I did that. Still reached out with a message through the app and no one ever got back to me and I have now paid for an app that I do not, and will not use.

Nice app, but lacking. I like this app and I can see how it would be useful in more populated places. I live in a more rural area in the PNW and am aware that there are a ton of places to fish. However, I’m not an expert and could use a little assistance and guidance as far as lures/bait. I thought this app would be helpful, but I find that a lot of my fishing haunts are not listed on the app and they’re not even listed. The closest fishing location with any insight that’s listed on the app is 90 miles away from where I am (which is by a huge river and a bay). Great idea, but kinda a bummer for my general location.

Love It 🎣. Yo, been using Fishbox for a while now and gotta say, it’s pretty solid! 🎣 The app's got a nice setup for checking the weather and finding some new fishing spots, but where’s the love for us coastal fishers? 🌊 We need those live tide updates ASAP! I’ve been burned a couple of times by inaccurate info, and man, it hurts when you miss that perfect tide. Also, could use more local lakes and rivers in the database—my spots are missing! 😅 I went ahead and upgraded to premium, mostly ‘cause I wanted to check out the fancy features, and it’s been alright. But seriously, Fishbox team, if you’re reading this, we need more updates on the real important stuff. Until then, I’m sticking with it, but you better believe I’m watching for those updates like a hawk.

Very bad experience. They changed my$27 with 0 service, This App leads you to a very bad location calming that they have experience, I drove for Hours to the worst fishing experience with my kids I ever had , If I used my own knowledge (as I did before)the result would be 1000% better. Now they keep changing my credit card without my permission. Don’t use this scam APP. Do you own search

Maybe in the future?. It made me pay for it before I could see that nothing was even available in my state…. Maybe in the future have an option that says “not yet available in your area, but stay tuned” or something of the sort. Honestly, I live in the most ideal state for this app to have been designed & tested on. Update for the developer response: I wasn’t saying I wasn’t happy to pay for an app. That wasn’t the problem. The problem lies where I paid for it, AND THEN it told me it wasn’t available in my area. So I paid for nothing. It’s not that I couldn’t figure out the app, thank you for patronizing me though.

Really accurate. If this app says their gonna be biting their gonna be biting and if it says their not trust that their not. Overall really impressive with this app’s accuracy on fish movement and feeding times

Not worth it. There’s nothing that puts this app over the top. It takes maps on my phone and weather and shows me them in their app. Information I can get just by going to maps or weather reports. It does have the knots section which is really cool…. But once again I can get that on others apps… that are free. Great idea but has a lot of growth before it’s even close to a top dollar fishing app.

Misleading. App is incredibly misleading on the subscription, there is no way to manage your account or subscription through the website OR the app. The only way to cancel the subscription is by emailing them. Do not buy this subscription it’s overpriced and they have made it intentionally difficult to cancel to keep you paying for it. You can’t even see account details like the email tied to your account. This is a worthless app, cannot recommend it less.

Do not buy this!. Do not I repeat do not buy this. I agree with all those that have complained. I sent an email to their support and was told “ Unfortunately, due to a high volume of inquiries, it may take us a little longer to respond. Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, if your inquiry relates to managing your subscription, please feel free to visit our related Help Center section: Manage Subscription.” The Manage subscription just tells you how to cancel. You still end up paying.

Luke’s review. Awsome app shows how to tie knots ect would be more beneficial and useful if you didn’t have to pay for certain things but also reasonable price. Edit- didn’t see you can also use this for your Apple Watch pretty sick if you ask me.

Misunderstanding or clever business to take my money?. I paid for a premium subscription , supossed to expire December 23. I cancelled it to prevent autorenewal in case I did not use it. The payment went through, used the app for several months as expected. The app erased my features now with 4 months left until December 23 and is saying that they cannot honor the December 23 expiration date. They have an AI answering emails and no person to handle problems. I Just do not want to pay for the time I already paid.

Fishing Spots. Love the forecast feature of the app. Living in Southern California though, the app shows numerous water ways, creeks etc that have been dry for decades and there is no way to remove them or gray them out. When i first installed I thought, great lots of places to fish then once I started digging through maps etc you realize that a good amount of the waterways don’t have water….algorithm predicts “good bites”.

Waste of money. This app is confusing. And pointless. It barely has any fishing spots and it doesn’t give you directions, fish type, etc. literally gives you the forecast at this point I could have just used the free weather app provided on my phone. No help to fishermen at all. And if it does have any of the features I mentioned above I cant find out how to get to them. I had the 7 day free trial and also it doesn’t tell you how to cancel cuz they wanna take your money.

I tried to use the contact us button and it does nothing!. This app simply does not work. I tried to contact the company by hitting the contact button and even that doesn’t open. Every location I hit on the lake just says retry. I was going to discuss getting my yearly subscription money back but since the contact me button will not work please refund my money and cancel my subscription.

Good app, but false advertising on one part. In the advertisement, it shows the different fish you can get in the body of water and the best times for fish. In actuality, there is nothing that shows the types of fish. For a premium app you pay for, false advertising is a huge turn off. It’s still good for the other things it advertises, but that was a big let down since i’m new to my area and was looking forward to a one stop app to see the fish and maybe show the best rigs and lures and bait for these types . Maybe a user forum.

Do not buy. I went and paid for it from there web site not threw the App Store they give you no option to log into your account so basically they got my credit card information and there is no way to unsubscribe due to they won’t let you cancel unless you have the app which I got and it still won’t let me log into my account I wasted money on this app and now I might have to get a new card because I can’t get them to cancel my subscription.

Cancelation. I paid for the free subscription on the website, then downloaded the app and it didn’t transfer over, and there’s nowhere to login and when you text the “customer service” it’s some AI that isn’t specific to the website. And I emailed customer service now I have to wait 3-5 days. You have to jump through hoops to cancel your subscription.

Garbage and scammers!. Don’t use this app, it’s complete garbage, the app is a joke and not geared towards anyone but an absolute expert. And why an expert would use this is beyond me. Only signed up for subscription to check out the app. Immediately cancelled the very same day. Now 30 days later they trying to charge my card $30. After I cancelled with google play, how is this even possible??? They definitely paid for the 4star review they have, Good Luck getting in touch with customer service cause they immediately give you a message stating it’s at least a 4 day turnaround. Two weeks later they still trying to scam my account. Complete garbage app and even worse customer support

TRIAL A SCAM. BE WARNED this is a web subscription, you can’t cancel after the trial period by deleting subscription with apple, you will have to contact the developer before he takes your money, the basketball player won’t refund you.

App is making money on one time subscription!. It's not doing anything it says on the description. The only thing that works in this app is more own days added by me. Weather, tides and bite it all is incorrect. As I was reading the reviews, others have had same problems a year and 2 years ago too. And still the same. Just avoid purchasing it.

Really great app with real people running it that care. Such a great app, my Son and I are new to fishing and found some excellent information as well as great locations to fish. Thank you!

Be upfront. Be upfront by advertising the prices right at the very beginning instead of the end. You wasted my time putting in a whole lot of information, providing nothing for me without having to put up dollars. If you had mentioned the dollars at the very beginning you would not have wasted my time. Please go away. Could you even ban me from looking at any of your products in the future.

Subscription unwanted. Do not think that once you do a $1-$2 trial subscription that is it. They will charge the full amount to your card as it does not show up in Apple subscriptions.

Most important feature missing. This app needs to have live tidal information for any location. Fishing rivers and strong tidal areas can be difficult without correct tide information. I can get live tide info anytime on my navionics boating app. I’ve purchased a subscription but it’s not good value with many other important features missing. If you would like to converse about how we can improve app for everyone please contact me anytime. I have 45yrs experience in both commercial and recreational fishing. You have a good base app but it could be the one all fisherman have to have. The world of fishing revolves around word of mouth. I want to know we’re the fish are being caught and what breed.. We’re all the fishing spots and the fish people have been catching. I got water way and what time is best for fishing and that’s it. I want to know the hot spots in the area and there’s nothing. It’s only self record of what I catch now one else.

Unable to cancel account!. Tried a number of times to reset password so I could cancel account, no email link! Continue to charge me monthly when I requested deletion. Check your bank statements!

Fishbox. I’m not really gonna leave a review about the app it self but when I downloaded it, I had paid for a 1 day trial then deleted the account and app afterwards but that didn’t actually delete the subscription itself so I randomly had a sum of money trying to be taken out of my account. So I had messaged their help service and a guy named Steve had answered back. I just wanna thank Steve for his great service for helping me by giving me such great instructions and information on how everything works and finding my account to delete the subscription and transaction fee. Fish box you guys have a great staff member and thank you so much for your service!!

Absolutely terrible experience. Bought the app, canceled the subscription and it’s still trying to charge me. Able to take legal action over this and planning on it, definitely a waste of money even looking past the clear subscription plan scheme, god awful quality.

Really good. Free app that is easy to use and has a lot of good features even without premium though i would still recommend getting premium. Never had any bugs, just an awesome app. A need for any fisherman.

App crashes when accessing the map. This app looks like it would be quite good but it crashes when using on the iPad and iPhone ANY TIME the map is accessed and a site saved. It also crashes when trying to access the 7 day forecast. I sent the app producer multiple emails and requests for help and have never had a reply. DO NOT BUY THIS APP as there is ZERO support and no information on app crashes.

Fishbox. The site is really not user friendly and when you Enquirie about the issues, no one ever gets back to you. The forecast seldom works and it takes forever to download.

Wouldn’t recommend. This says it’s free then once you download it it’s useless if you don’t pay all you can do is look at maps and a catch and look at knots you can’t even look at the forecast

My review. I have only had Fish Box for a few days and I totally love it! I can check out the weather in any place I wish and I can enjoy sharing my catches with other people. I highly recommend this great app👌👍

Do not give your payment details. I paid $0.99 for a 7 day trial and cancelled the subscription because I didn’t want to be charged the full amount before I was sure I wanted this. They took full subscription amount after 7 days without any authority to do so. Waiting to hear back on refund!! Can’t use the contact support feature in the app either!!

Horrible. You have to pay so you can see all the things it shows on the pictures and if you don’t then there is no point of having the app as you can’t even use it

It says free. From what I have read people are not happy and this add shown free on face book but then they have a charge misleading any app that will do that mislead you keep away and run the other way never trust anyone that lies straight up

Annoying. This may be a good app but I think it is annoying how they want be to upgrade BEFORE I’ve even used it and then want my review after about 20 seconds of me using it. That’s just dumb so I’m annoyed.

Species of fish in each location. This app is horrible! It doesn’t even say what fish are caught in each Location. I purchased this because on Facebook it said you could pick a fish and the locations would come up. I want a full refund please. This app needs to be free until you collect more data. Currently your misleading purchasers and your adds on Facebook don’t reflect anything close to what your selling. Essentially your selling a map what my phone already has and it’s free!

Confusing subscription scheme. I signed up for the free trial but didn’t find much use for the app around my area in Australia. I deleted my account in the app during the trial, but got charged the subscription as apparently my account was still active in the web service?!? I’m cancelling my subscription and working to get a refund through their support service. The app developers should work to make it easier and more transparent for users to understand their subscription and how to cancel the trial, if they really do care about user experience. It felt almost like a scam to me.

🐟. Easy to use and to navigate, the premium version is just not that suited for me as someone who fishes occasionally. Free versions nice though. Very quick and helpful support team. Steve from fishbox is goated 🫡 Steve would swim through tsunamis and Megalodon infested waters, run through active gunfire and burning buildings to assist you. He’s who you want by your side in a zombie apocalypse. Very reliable and awesome guy, they should make a movie about him or maybe a tv show where Steve single-handedly rescues mankind.

Love the app. Is good way to see when I caught, so I can just return to our spots I think you guys could improve the app by adding a fish identification scanning option like the plant identification app I use.

Difficulty placing locations. Just payed the 12 months premium and now learnt that placing my fishing locations in southern Western Australia is not supported. I wish there was a trial before paying in order to see if this application will be effective in one’s local area

Not great. Most of the features don’t work in my location which it never states, not to mention the new update means now less features work again, got zero weather updates at all now, don’t waste your money on a subscription

Best fishing app!. It has so much in there that has helped me as I’ve learned to fish like what fish and what type of bait it even come up with a scanner which I can measure my fish and it comes up with weight and is accurate. Overall sooo good!!

Can’t review basic features unless paid. I am interested in this app but cannot review the basics that would be expected of an app like this. The features that I am after cannot be used unless paid for. It would be a more intelligent business decision to make this app time limited so that we can see whether this app actually works. I’m uninstalling it and looking for another app that I can actually preview to see if it actually does what it says it does.

Over charged over and over. I did the free trial, then cancelled before the renewal and I was still charged the annual fee, I let it go because I figured I would just use the app but then 3 months later I’ve again been charged another annual fee despite not even having access to premium features anymore and the subscription saying it ended on 21 March. How’s that!?! I’m not even able to sign in because now the app won’t recognise my email. Really awful experience.

Do it download this App. Useless application. None of these features seem useful to me. So I deleted it. I tried canceling my subscription during the trial period but I can't find any subscription information in any of the app menus. The subscription will also not appear in the subscription list on the Apple Store subscription management screen. I didn't even receive a subscription confirmation email.

Not calibrated - don’t waste your money. I used to think this App was great back in 2017, but these days it is a waste of money. The basics are not even calibrated, like the tide times - currently it shows that 10 minutes ago I have just had a low tide, yet I’m 20 mins off a high tide.

Worst app don’t bother. Straight away you must pay the subscription just to even use any of the features on it.. other than that all you can see is temperature 🤨can’t even see some thing as basic as tides which you can just do through your weather app, what a waste of time downloading !

Fish box. Understands what I need and overall just a good app

Largely useless unfortunately. I googled fishing spots I could fish of a bank or pier with my son and came across this site. Filled out a questionnaire about what kind of fishing that I thought was excellent, and signed up and paid based on that level of detail. Now I’m in the app and I’m unable to even choose between bank / boat / charter fishing. It seems like the only filters is the type of fishing I’m targeting, but “having a nice experience with my son” isn’t a fish so all I can do is look at the local spots I already know, or guess which fish I think might be target species in places I don’t. Maybe experienced anglers can benefit from this - but for me it was a waste of $1 for a weeks access only to delete it and unsubscribe after -5 minutes of frustration.

Very poorly done. There is not a single location in my area that brings you to an actual spot. There needs to be some sort of qc to be sure that the marks being added as fishing locations actually have water. Extremely disappointed in this app, do better guys. Would not waste any money on something of this calibre your just as far ahead to flush or burn it

Hardly any local hotspots. It only shows two Hotspots within an hour of my location even though there are hundreds of lakes, rivers and streams where people fish. The subscription is very cumbersome to cancel so much so that it feels very scammy

SCAM ALERT. Did the free trial on the app. Cancelled immediately or so I though. Only to find out I’ve been getting billed $40 every 3 months for 9 Months. Explanation was that i was my fault because I subscribed through the web and not the app. And even though the sub didnt show up on the app it was active on the web.

Its a Scam stay away from this app. I feel scammed for paying for this app. They tricked me to make a payment to show the fishing details in my local location after payment it show no recorded data available. I tried far locations too 100-200 miles still shows no recorded data available for selected lake. Stay away from this app its a scam!!!!!!

No catch points, not even telling you what species are in the water. Not even ball parking your area. Shows you knots to tie. You can get plenty off free apps for knot tying and weather. Excellent Customer Service!. Didn’t meet my needs. Unfortunately would have had to purchase Navionics as NOAA doesn’t cover doesn’t cover my lake. Customers service replied right away and cancelled the subscription.

Scam! Over promises and under delivers. In the ad it literally shows that you can pick what species you want and it shows you the forest cast and lure for them, thats fake!! All it shows you is some normal weather info and it doesn’t even show the depth for any lakes in Ontario! The app doesn’t support Canada and is a big waste of money

Don’t like. I get emails about my subscription making it look like I’m paying every week but I payed for the year sub cause without the sub you can’t really use the app…

Pricing. So far this app has been amazing all except for one main factor. Prcicing the way the app displays its information makes me feels as though I have to to pay and if I weren’t it is too little of an outcome for me and might not be something I would want to further look into the pricing is high and unfair for people who might not have the money to spend on apps. Either than that main concern the app has been pretty good I feel it could be better I’m in the middle.

SCAM. paid 0,99$ for a 7 day trial and they charged my card for the premium membership (34$) on the same day. You CANNOT trust them with your credit card. Download anything else before this.

AI staff?. For 28 bucks a year. I suppose it’s ok. But, the limiting of info to hotspots only is ludicrous. I am in the Sierra National Forest and have literally 4-5 huge lakes within 30 miles and countless smaller lakes. The only thing that shows up is the river. Not one lake has information on species, lures, etc. the closest other hotspot is 70 miles away. For an app that costs money, that’s embarrassing. Also, the AI generated responses shows these guys don’t care at all about this app.

Great app. From what I’ve seen so far the app is great but it seems like u will have to pay per month after the trial runs out which I am not to excited about.

Good app, but... I like the app but it would be nice to not have to pay to see the best fishing spots. I mean, I could just look that up! Personally, I think it would be cool if you could just type in a location and it give information about the area. Overall I deem the app good and useful but could be tweaked.

Buyer beware. If you are trying to cancel a phone app subscription, and you can’t find it, it may be because it went through on a website!! I had to track it down and cancel it that way! Really??? Plus some of the places they suggested for me to fish were far away when I set a 50 mile radius. I didn’t see many of the ones I knew about suggested. Just didn’t see this app being helpful to me. Just my experience.

Not worth it. There’s nothing that puts this app over the top. It takes maps on my phone and weather and shows me them in their app. Information I can get just by going to maps or weather reports. It does have the knots section which is really cool…. But once again I can get that on others apps… that are free. Great idea but has a lot of growth before it’s even close to a top dollar fishing app.

Just found. Looks like a excellent learning opportunity for the best places for fishing. I never knew where to go & find the best spots. Now I can finally get out there and know what’s recommended and pinpoint hot spots. Thanks Fb

So helpful!. I am a beginner fisher and this app helps me so much with everything. I learned to tie many knots and now I know all the best fishing spots near me and what times to fish at! This app offers so much you should totally get it.

What I enjoy?. Relaxing on the shore and watching the waves while fishing, the serenity of just being able to enjoy nature and my family makes me happy every time we go fishing…

Forces you to buy it. I thought I could get a free trial version without the catch of auto signing you up for a billing cycle…this isn’t really a great idea to firstly take almost exactly what Fishbrain did and then on top of that to force the people who get through the “slideshow” to make a purchase at the end. I tried closing the app and it ended up making me purchase it instead after hitting my home button. Fix this issue and I’ll fix my review. That was shady, good sir!

Useless. Doesn’t help me at all, no info is listed on any bodies of water. They just slap it on their map bc there’s a puddle on Google Maps so there must be fish right. I go to the community tab to see where others are catching fish, but come to see it’s only a pic of the angler and the fish. Only info the pic includes is the size of fish and a like or slide like button. No info on where they caught it. Waste of time and money

I tried to use the contact us button and it does nothing!. This app simply does not work. I tried to contact the company by hitting the contact button and even that doesn’t open. Every location I hit on the lake just says retry. I was going to discuss getting my yearly subscription money back but since the contact me button will not work please refund my money and cancel my subscription.

Do not buy. I went and paid for it from there web site not threw the App Store they give you no option to log into your account so basically they got my credit card information and there is no way to unsubscribe due to they won’t let you cancel unless you have the app which I got and it still won’t let me log into my account I wasted money on this app and now I might have to get a new card because I can’t get them to cancel my subscription.

Helped find a home. I have been searching for a house for my elderly mother and her husband near a fishing area. I was able to use this app and cross reference locations with real estate to find homes to look at for them.

Worst app ever. Most unhappy with this Fishbox trial. I agree with what everybody else wrote. I tried to cancel it, and I was still charged. I found the app stupid and unhelpful and a waste of time and money. If anything good can come out of my experience its that maybe you won’t have this experience and you will avoid this app at all costs. It’s Aight. Imma be real, after all the hype I’ve seen of Facebook about this app, I expected it to be way better. The only reason I’m giving 3 starts is because you can see bodies of water you didn’t know of before that you can try to fish. But you can also do this with Google Maps

Better than fish brain imo. It shows you more for free than fish brain does and the premium is like half the price. if you just want new spots or a forecast get this, but if you want to share your catches get fish brain.

Tell me info and data. I think this is the best chance fishermen can share spots, info and get some in return. Really like this idea and want it to succeed. I will visit this site to gain info on the freshwater species and spots recommended. Please do not post false info.

It’s pretty useful. I personally like the app especially the 7 day forecast mode. I basically only use the app to check if it’s a good day to fish. They only show popular spots though, you’re going to have to find your own honey hole.

The box. You can get all kinds of useful information on here about the area you are looking to catch fish in all over the world the lures and baits used in that area at that specific time of the year in that region even the available fishing guides available and in my area I know some and they know fishing and love happy patrons!

Stupid money hungry snakes. This app is absolutely useless, all the info it gives is basic public knowledge anyone can find out for free. I payed $1 with the expectation it was a one time charge which it said it was. Come to find out the charged me $40 with no warning. It’s impossible to get to talk to anyone real to get a refund. This app is for you if you would like to get scammed and then played around with by an ai chat bot. I wouldn’t recommend to even the most novice angler. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

9/10 would recommend. It would be better if you didn’t have to pay for anything but I like how it shows you how to tie knots.

Customer support. The app itself is good and has a purpose but there customer support is easy. I only emailed once they responded within like a half and hour and I got refunded easy quick very helpful. I had Steve he is great.

False advertising. The map and weather on this app is a nice feature, but I’m actually disappointed this app doesn’t have the feature about recommended bait and lures for different fish which was actually advertised? Pretty shady considering you’re paying good money for this app.. hopefully this feature will be added soon or I’ll be cancelling my subscription. For that I’ll give it two stars

Amazing App!!. New to this app it does cost money but compared to other paid for apps it’s the best in cost so far but it has way more features and super easy to use I’ll update this after I use it after a few catches in a few fishing spots

It could be better. It’s overall good but I don’t like how when you search for a place it thinks you’re talking about a state across the country after I already put in my location. Another reason is the prices are kinda outrageous for and fishing forecast,it’s not that hard. I don’t see why you have to pay to see such a simple thing.

A Scam? No subscription Cancellation Option. I contacted customer service via chat and email, and I expect to hear back in 3 hours regarding the subscription cancellation. Their system does not send any email notifications, and customer service does not respond to cancellation requests. A scam? It is a waste of time. According to feedback from experienced anglers, their app is ineffective in my area. Now I have to deal with my bank.

Amazing response time. I had an issue with my payment and i had to contact their support and they answered within 5 minutes I am very impressed with this.

Excellent Support Staff. I had an issue and contacted the support team, they solved my problem the same day. As it turned out the problem was on my end not the app. Regardless, they devoted their time and helped me resolve my issue. And, it’s an awesome app.

good app. This is one of my favorite apps I can log catch data and see other anglers' catch dataI do also there were more fishing locations on the app, maybe perhaps use neighborhoods as a location you are fishing a pond in that area

Cancel trial. App was decent but for me not worth the price. I went to cancel the trial and could not fine any button how so googles and on their site you have to email them to cancel. This always feels like a scummy tactic to try and squeeze money and then your reliant on then actually responding and ending your service.

Waste of money. This app is confusing. And pointless. It barely has any fishing spots and it doesn’t give you directions, fish type, etc. literally gives you the forecast at this point I could have just used the free weather app provided on my phone. No help to fishermen at all. And if it does have any of the features I mentioned above I cant find out how to get to them. I had the 7 day free trial and also it doesn’t tell you how to cancel cuz they wanna take your money.

Bank fresh water fishing. This is not what I expected. I put in all my information. What kind of fish out like what kind of water I like how but I got the same five spots that I did when this time was free. Yeah pay I’ve got 25 places to go fishing but none of them with the criteria that I sent Can Lights I said a maximum of 50 miles Well it went from 50 mile to 450 miles. Very disappointed.

Nothing good at all.. Like I know where to fish around where I live. I signed up for the paid subscription and then realized it was a waste. I can check the weather on my phone or better yet just go outside. I was hoping this would be more informative about what to use around me. You are better off going to a bait shop and talking to people about what’s best in your area. Has potential but nowhere close yet.

Greet tool for fishing. The app is great. It helps with identifying areas around you that are hot at certain times of the day as well as info on hotspots around your area as the app gets better fishing will get better. It’s a great app to use.

Tracking. Using for stats does the job, good features worth paying for if you’re able to fish very often

Literally A Bait and Switch. This app doesn't give secret fishing spots. Nor does it have videos for the knots. In the preview I saw, a video came up with how to tie the knot. I'm so disappointed. There are free apps out there that can give you the solunar information. I thought I was getting info inn where to fish locally. Totally not the case. You're better off saving your money and downloading Bass Forecast.

Rip-off. Don’t sign up for the trial version (7 days for $0.99). They will automatically charge you for a 3 month subscription that you didn’t sign-up for $27. When questioned thru customer service, they will ignore you and the obvious issue.

The best fishing app!. Write off the bat it was super easy and was able to know the places around my town that are suitable for fishing and also the weather forecast on weather it’s a good day to fish or not.

Errors. I just started watching and already noticed several errors/inconsistencies btw the video and written directions- for example, on the cinch knot the video shows the correct way, but the written directions end w “put the end through the eye of the hook /lure”…no, you put the end through the gap between the twisted loop and the end of the hook…weird that these aren’t checked more carefully before posting on a site purporting to be expert on these techniques.

Worth it! Record your catches!. This app is totally worth getting, it has an optional subscription for more features but has everything you need all there for free. You can record your catches or find the best fishing spots near you.

Don’t waste your time or money. I’ve paid for this app for two years, always been super buggy and fairly inaccurate with “BiteTime” and forecasts. Definitely switching over to a different app (Omnia, Fishbrain, there’s plenty better!) after trying to use FishBox the morning of a fishing trip and the app will not work. It isn’t registering my subscription, can’t look at BiteTime or forecast for the lake that I’m visiting. Complete waste of money.

Misleading. App is incredibly misleading on the subscription, there is no way to manage your account or subscription through the website OR the app. The only way to cancel the subscription is by emailing them. Do not buy this subscription it’s overpriced and they have made it intentionally difficult to cancel to keep you paying for it. You can’t even see account details like the email tied to your account. This is a worthless app, cannot recommend it less.

The best fishing app. This app is amazing, I have been fishing most of my life and I just can’t figure out when where and what to throw when I’m fishing, this app helps with all of that and told me the best times to fish. Five stars would recommend.
