Large in insight, lacking in connection. Insightful into your pre-destined experiences, drawing mainly in your western astrological chart, it is a breath of fresh air to not be bogged down with all of the details of a chart— planets, houses, squaring, opposing. The “patterns” are simply and easily stated & so far pretty much spot on. The shared experiences are great in knowing that others out there are experiencing similar life and those with great astrological knowledge share their chart details so you start to understand which aspect of a chart influences what pattern (which is a helpful learning opportunity). Where things fall short, is you can add other users as “friends” but you have no way to connect with them other than seeing your similarities or tagging them in shared experience comments. The last update added a feature to block people. Can we not add a feature to connect? Right now it’s basically an anti-social media app. Looking through this tiny portal and discovering there are similar people out there, but you have no way to reach them.

Wow! So accurate it’s almost scary!. I happened to download this app by chance, but wow! It is so accurate it is absolutely mind boggling! It’s usually hard for me to find horoscopes and sites on astrology that actually hit home, since I typically don’t relate very well to my sign very often. This app, though, has hit the nail on the head! There have even been times that it has notified me right as something is happening to me and the notification will be literally explaining or talking about the event at hand. The timing and accuracy has happened multiple times since I’ve downloaded this app. Some of the relationship patterns for friends in my life seem a little off. Not necessarily what it says about those friends in general, but just about the bond between us and how we affect each other seems a little off. But for the romantic relationship, both the persons characteristics and the bond seem dot on. Maybe it has to do with knowing the actual birth time of the friends and not just the birthdate? Either way, I absolutely love this app and have recommended it to everyone in my inner circle!

Please do not put time travel feature under paywall. This is the first astrology app I ever downloaded. I think I have been using it since it first came out in 2017. I really enjoyed using the bond feature and I think that is one of the things that makes this app really stand out from other astrology apps. I also love the “time travel” feature but I see that now it is under a paywall! I understand the creators need to make a living so this review probably won’t make a difference but I miss the way the app used to be. The new UI is a bit busy as well; I like that the aspects have been added for personality traits and timing but the moon guide and immersive audio clutter up the home screen. I think that the blue misty background for the text boxes is pretty but makes everyone’s profile feel the same, it makes the stock image profile pictures that complement someone’s pattern (ocean for water dominant etc) have less impact. Right now when I open the app it just feels like a lot going on (I don’t blame the designer because there are A LOT of features) but it feels torn between the original design of the app and the update.

They ruined the app.. This used to be the best app of this category in my opinion, but with all the ongoing changes happening constantly they’ve forced me to remove and reevaluate. This app is not friendly for neurodivergent people as the layout they switched to is extremely overstimulating. If you’ve been a user previously: nothing looks the same. If you’ve never been a user: the app is not easily navigated as there are things tucked away and placed all over the place with no prompt whatsoever to engage with it. Almost everything costs money now and they’re steadily locking new features that people were allowed to use previously for free for years. Also, this app was slightly repetitious before but I ignored it because there were a lot of other great features to use. Since they keep locking everything and are trying to force people to pay for a mediocre app that was free to use for YEARS, now it’s not worth it imo at all because every week you get the same prompts basically. On Monday they’re telling you in a 12-slide screen (if y’all would combine it could be in one or two. Why do we have to swipe through our Dailys to read one sentence at a time for it to equal 10-14 slides that all basically say the same thing) that you’re feeling “security angst” but they’ll tell you the same thing next Wednesday. It’s obnoxious. What felt so (lacking a better term) genuine now feels like it was pumped out by moneyhungry trend snobs in a single weekend.

Could. The app is unique and I like the insights it provides. It is not a generic astro profile and the “timing” section is nice to have in lieu of a reading in my opinion. However it will not confirm the aspects or planets which make up your qualities. It would make sense to have a not section referencing. Most ppl guess in the comments or have Astro background. I paid for the year app and you can run bonds all you want but custom profiles are an additional cost. No where in their pricing does it say upgrade for more custom profiles or the tier selected wont have x,y,z. I paid to use the app without restrictions for a year and now it wants me to pay even more to get additional “slots”. I won’t be renewing next year as this isn’t worth it to me. Once you run your friends bonds you don’t need to keep doing it over and over. I don’t understand why you would pay for that. I wouldn’t have purchased if I knew the limitation.

Has a lot of potential. This is an interesting app and I absolutely love how it show not just your own potential but also the comparability and potential issues that could come up friendships (romantic or non). A few things don’t make sense to me though. One, the ability to look up people with an account is not updated regularly. I’ve been trying to add my friend by name it was not coming up despite me sitting next to them and seeing them be online (and no, we checked to make sure our accounts weren’t in private mode). I can’t change my profile picture. Why is this even an issue? Another thing that struck me is the repetition of information across the connections. I feel some advice or suggestions as to how issues could be over come would be useful. Not to mention under the ‘connections’ tab for potentially finding a partner, you are limited to how many people you can look at a day… now.. hear me out. I understand why it’s there, it’s to help you be more considerate and think beyond looks, but if there are few individuals using the app and the.. 15 or so choices I’m shows are 500+ miles away, that’s.. kinda of a hard choice to make. I would almost argue that until more people join the app, not limit us to a numbered option per day.

If It Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It. I have loved The Pattern for years, but this new update is anything but “intuitive” (their language for it in the App Store). I’m confused by the design and have tried to get a hang of it. The old design was far more intuitive and user friendly, and I’m not sure how much I’ll be engaging with the app anymore. Fortunately there are other astrology apps out there. Also, the romantic pattern section has a bug for some users. Mine is fine, but my partner’s isn’t. His shared with past partners feature under each romantic pattern is glitching. First it listed hundreds of people he doesn’t know as past partners, and now it’s listing a ton of people he does know but never marked as past partners. The Pattern has something really special in the type of information they provide, but this new layout and update is a disaster. My hope is that they will bring the old layout back, given all the negative reviews and constructive feedback that they have been receiving about the new update. Two stars instead of one, because this was one of my favorite apps for a long time, and I have faith that they will listen to the feedback we’ve been giving them.

Subscription out of nowhere???. I have a video editing app that I've had for YEARS now. Back then I got if for free but everyone who is downloading it now, has to pay a subscription. With time the app expanded and got better and had to start charging money in order to get better and develop. I can't believe you guys are charging EVERYONE, even the people that have been there from the beginning, the people who've been marketing your app, the people who've been loving and supporting this app from day one (!!!) THE SAME SUPER EXPENSIVE AMOUNT!!! FOR AN APP THAT GOT SO BAD WITH THE UPDATE. If it was the old version I would consider paying.. but this app turned into a dating app instead of an astrology app and I hate it so much. I'm so sad about this. I always loved telling people about this app but I think if you guys don't find a fix, I will have to find another app. It's like giving a starving human bread all day and then out of no where being like "Ok now the next bread will cost you X amount". I understand that you need money as well but at least give us a "early bird sale" recognizing and appreciating your first users and everyone who is now joining can pay the full price. I'm so sad.

Walls are up. I’ve recommended the pattern app to nearly everyone I know. It’s a great tool for introspection and to become aware of the intricate complexities of human nature with self and In relationships. But CONNECT on the pattern app IS NOT IT. It feels so counterintuitive to create such boundaries in a space you’re urging ppl to connect. I thought you get one free reveal a day, you only GET ONE FREE REVEAL. You have to pay $1 to show 1person and then $7 to reveal all ppl who have showed interest. I’ve hit a soulmate bond once and I bet I’m just another blurry photo in their pile of blurry photos. The likely hood of us actually connecting is zero, and the pattern app is trying to make money off the hopes of ppl wanting to find human connection. Ugh, I can’t express my disappointment fully. The app won’t let you close out of this payment reveal screen, forced me to close the app just to keep looking at anything. While I’m a fan of this app for personal use, I’d never recommend it as an app to connect with other ppl in an authentic way.

This idea you had that has been actualized into a physical tool and application that people may actually utilize to learn, guide & help themselves just wow... I am so glad your creation came to fruition so that I, one of many am able to use this tool to better myself. I am an astrologer myself but wow does pattern highlight and emphasize all the crucial aspects in the individual’s psyche and astrological make up, SUCH INTERPRETIVE AND CHANNELING POWER I am simply amazed the interpretations are extremely articulate, laser accurate and physic, incredibly insightful, wise and a true description of the energy at play!! My favorite sections are: individual relationship style, Destiny and relationship compatibility reading with a partners profile no other app or websites is as strong in these readings. Sometimes I love this app sometimes I don’t. When the pattern first came out, I loved it. It was insightful. I do think that it brings some self awareness within ourselves and our friendships/relationships. I don’t like that we have to pay for things that were once free. Though I understand that the app needs to make money to keep running. If you’re going to charge, add more features WORTH the charge. Otherwise why would I pay for something that was once free? There’s no new information… it’s the same things I read previously (while free). Add something a little special to make it worth it, interest me more. Add a feature that’s new. Otherwise I’m not sure if I’ll pay for this app. I might pay to see if there’s new info but it if it’s the same (like when it was free).. what’s the point? Updated: can’t even log into my account even with the new update fixing the app for the last two weeks lol thank god I didn’t pay $ for the premium

Insightful yet insensitive. I usually love, love, love the Pattern. There are great insights (although they neglect to tell you which aspects give that insight, which is fine for those wanting the info without the astrological details) and typically great information in regards to connections with others. HOWEVER, they decided to dial back the details of the connections with others aspect in order to offer a Pro edition that they could charge for IN THE MIDST OF THE COVID PANDEMIC. So at a time when understanding your connections could be most helpful, they decided to remove it at a price when most people are losing their job and source of income. I am highly disappointed at the lack of sensitivity to world events when making this decision. Information that used to be free on the app now costs and honestly in my opinion, if they wanted to offer a pro edition, I am all for that. I just feel that they should have added a new feature instead of removing a feature that was already available to us previous pattern users. It is just very tragic that something that would help people so much like understanding how they interact in a relationship with another person would be removed in a time where connection is already strained and the world could benefit from better understanding the connections they are in. It bothers me so much, I went out of the way to leave a review without being prompted for one, so I hope they take time to read it and take this into consideration.

Love the app, but one change. I love how deep this app gets and it truly has been spot on for things that I don’t even voice out loud to those closest to me. BUT the one negative is that I believe the app should have an option to update how long you’ve been in a relationship and how committed (ex: married for 3 years). I feel like it is mostly directed at single people or treats relationships as if they’re very new. Being married and very committed, it’s ridiculous to read “he does things that annoy you and make you question if you want to remain in the relationship or not. Nows the time to address that.” I feel that when in a truly serious relationship you aren’t questioning these things (at least I am not) so I don’t really like how often it makes my relationship seem new and rocky when it’s not even close. One other thing, I would like to see a bit more positivity in general. The app really likes to highlight the bad things going on from past to present. I do have a lot of great things going on in my life and I would love to see some of those positivities highlighted in my pattern along with the bad. Other than that, it’s a great app. Also, has been spot on for my friends as well.

Confused and frustrated. I found this app about a year ago. It was brilliant. Now I can barely see it. I can no longer find my bio to edit it. It no longer shows on the front like it did. For people with eyesight issues. The color blue is very hard to read. Either allow use to have a black background with white writing or a white background with a color of our choice or the blue. You keep changing things and I don’t understand why you are charging for those on our friends list. Um I mean to have more people then the minimum I understand that. Cos that what it was when I started. But can we make it eye friendly and please for the love of the lord and lady where is my bio? Oh and please do not turn this into a dating app. I do not want to be hit on all the time. I want to meet like minded only. Not date anyone. That could have been something totally different on a sister app or something. I refuse to become friends with all these men who send request to me. I want it for my friends and people who are like minded and I’ve met and we talk about the app. Cos I’m not paying for a dating app when it’s not my cup of tea. I like my solidarity. Sorry. But I just don’t believe in dating apps nor do I want to be apart of one. I use this to help navigate with my friends. Thank you for reading.

Definitely life changing!!. I was around my 2nd year of my spiritual journey. For awhile I was doing pretty good had some ups and downs got through it and continued on. Then started having health problems it threw me off from time to time because more and more started taking over me, I was at a breaking time! My Aunt invited me to a Mind, Body & Sloe Convention said she thought it could help me. I went and learned SOOOO much about myself Engery wise (Universe). On our way home we stop to eat and she told me about “The Pattern” said you won’t believe how much you will learn about you & life!! She invited me and it has changed MY LIFE!!! It’s help me heal some past wounds, helped me with forgiveness for myself as others, has helped me with understanding why things in the past has happened! If you just want to GET TO KNOW YOURSELF!!! I recommend this!!!!!!!!!! Even more you get to know & understand relationships friends/Romantic!! THATS A PLUS!!!

Run the Bond!. It’s the astrology app that doesn’t talk about astrology that much. People may prefer to have the transit details, but from what I’ve seen there’s usually someone in the chats who figures it out. Part of the fun for some. I see a pretty cool community developing, many intelligent, open-minded people trying to keep it honest and better themselves. The Pattern’s analysis of what you’re going through is, as others have raved, spot on. If you try this app, my suggestion is to right away go to “Run Bond”, create a “custom profile” for the person of your longest love relationship, hit the “romantic” tab, and read all about it. As long as you’re not in denial, it’s a good indication of how accurate you’ll find the rest of the app. To the developers: My request: I paid for Premium. Could you just go ahead and reach out to everyone that I would have an Epic bond with that I’m Epic? I think it means more coming from you.

Great App across the board! DOWNLOAD NOW!. I’m not sure if after this last update there might be a glitch or if it’s my phone but I am receiving my daily alert updates but when I go into the app to see them it’s loading blank pages so I am unable to go deeper. Other than that I am in love at how accurate this app is! Definitely amazing! Hoping that the glitch fixes up! 💕 Ok so update for everyone: The review above does not still stand they actually reached back out to me and explained what was happening. Updates etc. and since has not been an issue for me. Not so often now a days that you see a company respond back to you so promptly and professionally! Thanks the Pattern and for anyone who’s hesitant to download this app don’t be. Literally daily it’s on the money with me and my emotions and what I’m feeling and helps me deal with those feelings! I love this app so much!. Its so accurate but in a way it also motivates you to become a better version of yourself. I was always into horoscopes but i never really connected with the Capricorn stereotypes and I felt like I was being pushed to fit a mold that I knew I wouldn’t fit into. When one of my friends told me to get the app I was skeptical because I had gotten costar before and it was the same story of me not relating to my sign or the app making generalized assumptions about me that I couldn’t relate to. When I got this app however I spent the first hour just reading mine and all my friends patterns and was so shocked by how accurate everything was. We have an inside joke with my friends that our FBI agents collected our data and filled out our profiles haha. I learned so much from this app and it always helps me become more self aware of my thoughts and actions as well as how I can approach my friends based on what I read about our patterns and to be honest ever since my relationships with my friends have become so much more closer and open. I do wish that this app would add a feature where we could find strangers with similar patterns so we have a way of connecting with others in a familiar platform in this disconnected time.

Not good anymore. I used to LOVE this app when it first came out and although I understand that companies grow & change overtime, this app changed in the worst way. You used to have access to much more information and was able to connect with other people who shared similar placements. That’s no longer an option. I purchased the 3 month trial to allow me to go deeper, time travel & have unlimited bonds. But you have to pay for custom profiles and even the audio library! If I’m paying for a subscription, I shouldn’t be paying for anything extra. I also wish the app elaborated on what each bond means as well. Some things I have questions about but I can’t get answers. I’m disappointed with how this went downhill. Also, I remember them at one point having a dating portion, I’m not sure if it’s still on there but I think it would’ve been a great idea but the execution of it was not the best at all. Hopefully these things can be fixed in the future & I somehow hear about how much they’ve approved on social media, unless that happens, I’m no longer using the app.

Not Your Momma’s Horoscope!. I don’t know how they do it but this is the coolest most accurate app. It’s like a customized horoscope but so much better. I’ve sung it’s praises since downloading it. Its eerily accurate and I looked back at a specific point in my life and it almost spelled out the event I was looking for. Down to the week. I was shook. You can add friends and potential love interests to see your compatibility as long as you have their birth day, time and location. There’s also a new feature to see your compatibility with famous people and a new chat feature to talk to people you add. I’ve been wanting to find a way to say thank you to the brains behind this app- so Thank You! I wish you had a website to go along the app or named the reason a pattern is happening- i.e x planet is here or however you do this. It’d be nice to have a place to add a short bio for people to see when they look me up. And if you go to a paid version maybe try adds first? In these troubling times money is tight for a lot of people. Otherwise change nothing! Download this app, you’ll be glad you did!

Uncanny accuracy. Minimal jargon. Maximum insight (quality AND quantity).. First, the 🐘 in the room: yes, this app uses Astrology to develop insights, without explaining astrological technicals. Some people prefer this format, others see it as incomplete Astrology. Most would nevertheless agree this “hybrid” offers a unique perspective, not found elsewhere in the Astrology community. Also, The Pattern compensates for astrological omissions by doubling down on quality AND quantity of insights. Great for non-astrologists seeking simplification that doesn’t compromise quality. Great for experienced astrologists seeking innovation (in a community that too easily becomes a shallow echo-chamber, depersonalized by technicals, and counterintuitive to presence of mind with disproportionate focus on the future). Rhetorical personal projections aside, TLDR: this is one of few Astrology apps worth downloading. ((PS, this app’s social feature is actually a really cool product, not just a gimmick. Would be cool to add a “presence of mind” once-daily-posting-opportunity thing — similar to how apps like BeReal operate — but posting QOTD answers/journal entries/current status/etc, rather than pictures)).

Amazing. I don’t write reviews. I came here specifically to write a review on this because it does SUCH a good job. I’m a professional reader (tarot, astrology, runes, etc) and I’m VERY impressed with this app. Spot on and concise- shows everything as easy to see specific and definable “patterns”. Calls you and your relationships out and empowers you by showing clear patterns in well defined areas of your life and your interactions as well as ways to overcome hurdles. Allows you to see upcoming transits as archetypal patterns and validate your current experiences and current paths. Also allows interaction with others going through similar patterns. You can connect to friends using the app or even manually add your significant other for in depth analysis. The only thing I personally would enjoy is to see the planets and transits behind everything on each category (but the current app makes for a seamless experience and you can always look up transits and charts online I suppose). This app is marvelous, thank you for creating it! I’ve been wanting an app just like this for a long time!

Good, but could be GREAT with technical issues solved. I really appreciate the insights I get from this app. All of it resonates with me and is on point! Especially when I look at bonds I have with people. I’m more aware of certain patterns about myself that I normally wouldn’t recognize. It’s cool to see other people who might share patterns and to be able to talk about them and process them in the community section too. I’m normally not open to dating apps, but decided to try their’s called Connect and have actually had a good experience so far. The app has minor issues with the functionality that are annoying and really take away from the experience - DM’s not sending, notifications for friend patterns that are not my friends, profile picture uploading issues, etc. With technical issues resolved, my experience would go from good to GREAT. Overall I recommend y’all to check it out

Useless after update. I understand apps need to make money to stay afloat, but every feature that distinguished this app from others is now behind a paywall. Everything that used to be free before is now a paid feature. Why not add paid features that people would want to access instead of taking away the most basic features that used to be free? The paid features are not worth the money, and anything free that remains is nothing more than surface level jargon that has no value to even bother reading at no cost. This app is no longer worth even the memory it takes up on my phone. There needs to be an option for 0 star reviews because that is what this app deserves. There are MANY MANY more apps that provide better more detailed info while still being free. What sets you apart from other apps and makes you worth downloading and using? Don’t give people basic access only to later take away the bare minimum elements unless it’s paid for. What is the point of using this app when nothing provided is worth even downloading your app? I’ve now deleted this, absolutely nothing about The Pattern is now worth it.

Life Altering!. Incredibly accurate! I can truly say that this app has changed my life! It’s given me real clarity and understanding around my personal patterns and the way I experience the world...to the way I relate to and connect with other people in my life. The “your timing” section has taught me to be more compassionate with myself than I’ve ever been. I can see what I’m going through during a very specific amount of time. And it’s allowed me to lean into discovering and embracing aspects of myself that I used to run from! It also reminds me that we’re all just “going through different things at different times”, and helps me to remember to meet people where they’re at. The “your pattern” section is so incredibly spot on! The language they use resonates so deeply and so specifically that i feel like they really know me! Like many, I’ve spent countless amounts of time and money trying to learn about myself and my place in the world, so that I might better understand how to grow and change and evolve. I use this app everyday as it continues to help me to do exactly that!

Favorite notification ever.. I love this app. When I get a new notification from it and I have time to read it, I’m never disappointed. It’s honestly freaky accurate all the time and really provides a lot of clarity for me and even is kind of soothing. I read some of the patterns to my mom occasionally and once she nearly spit out her coffee laughing at how accurate it is. All of that being said, I would really appreciate it if this app was somehow available on my laptop for journaling purposes (I have a MacBook). I would absolutely make this app my regular journal prompt if I had the opportunity but typing on my phone is just not as comforting and retyping the entire Pattern that I read or am responding too on my current journaling app is not so fun either. An app for laptops would be great or even the ability to sink it with another journaling App like Day One would make this my favorite app of all time. Please and thank you!!!

Used to be 5/5, now 1/5.. When I first got this app, I loved it. I still do. I installed it when I first got wind of it. The accuracy of the daily personal and worldwide readings, as well as the “bond” readings with friends and relationships, were so impressive and helpful. Then today, I got a notification of my daily Pattern, and clicked “Go Deeper” as always... to be surprised with an “upgrade” pop-up asking me to pay a monthly fee in order to read my personal insights. It’s clear that the world is in the midst of some really difficult times right now, and for some people, having access to content like this is so uplifting and reassuring. For the creators of The Pattern to begin charging its users for content that used to be free, especially during a time like this, I feel is really cruel and sad. I hate to part with this app, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to. Unless the creators have a change of heart and decide to make the main content free again, I will no longer be using it. I think having upgradable options is a great idea, but eliminating the majority of the content was a big mistake. I will be directing my attention to other astrology apps such as TimePassages and TwinFlame for the time being.

Incredibly Insightful and Scarily Accurate. Title says it all. It’s like the app can view the deepest, most secret parts of me and tell me what my greatest strengths and weaknesses are. The app gives helpful updates to cycles going on in the world, and daily notifications about what’s going on with you as well as an entire profile about the depths of your personalities. You can also add friends and see into their personalities as well! Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there’s only a way to see “romantic” interpersonal relationships and no friend or family option. As others have said, I use the romantic tab for friends and family anyway, and just read around the romantic lens as it’s still highly accurate, but I would have quickly given 5 stars if it gave you in depth information about your relationship with friends as it does romance. I can’t believe this app is free! Definitely not a waste of space, download it!

Catfish central. So this is my second terrible review. I’m writing this second one because a man threatened to kidnap and kill me when I exposed him as a fake. So this app is rife with fake accounts. I’ve reported at least twenty. I love the Pattern but this dating feature is absolutely garbage. Of the fifty or so men I’ve matched with, only one has been real. All the others are foreigners, stealing photos of handsome American men to create fake accounts. You can tell right away from their syntax. People tend to text in the way that they speak and so syntax is a dead giveaway their foreign. And there’s nothing wrong with foreigners; that’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is, when you think you’re talking to John from Utah it’s irritating to really be talking to someone who may or may not even live in the US and is absolutely NOT the man in the profile pic. And now, it’s turned a bit scary. Since I reported this last match to the Pattern and he tracked me down through my business Instagram page and is threatening my life. The Pattern developers need to establish some stricter guidelines as this simply isn’t a problem on any other dating app.

Used to be a useful app. Great app if you’re new to astrology or just looking for a new framework for understanding yourself. It gets repetitive after a while, with many of the same messages reappearing, which I suppose makes sense with an app about patterns. It’s just not very helpful once you’ve seen those same messages over and over again. It doesn’t grow or change with you at all and with no daily reading or other features common in similar apps I just stopped checking in after a few months. The thing that I’m frustrated with now is that I got a new phone and phone number and can no longer log in. I went through their account recovery procedure and they found my account, but it won’t recognize my email address as associated with any accounts, despite receiving emails from them at that same address! The worst part is there’s no customer service without logging in as far as I can tell. So I will just be giving up on this app.

PLEASE fix this problem! But great app!. Well FIRST, I haven’t been able to change my profile photo on the app in at least a year, it’s so frustrating! Every time I try, when I go to save my new changes, I get an error message telling me to try at a later time, I’m so over it! I love all the new features and add-ons, but seriously can you fix this issue already?! It’s beyond overdue. But other than that... seriously love this app, I think it’s great for helping you to realize your own unhealthy behaviors and patterns, and why you might do those things. I do agree with others, though, that it could all be written in less of a negative tone, and maybe add helpful bits of advice on how to improve or change the patterns we’re in, rather than just keep reiterating the same points over and over. I think this app has so much potential to be more than it is even now with the bonds, which is really cool, but yeah, it does start to feel negative to be reminded of the same unhealthy patterns we get stuck in and why, but without any kind of advice or words of encouragement to uplift us and change the patterns. Obviously a lot of this information is based off astrology without using astrological terms, which does leave it more open for those who tend to discredit/doubt astrology. Overall, it’s a cool app, very interesting to read and go in depth, and love that you can even read about others. I definitely recommend it, but there could still be improvements 😊

Insightful & Easy to Use!. I noticed that a lot of the more recent reviews are from long time users who aren’t happy with recent updates, so I just wanted to add a review with my perspective as someone who’s new to the app! i just found this app a few days ago and I’ve already sent it to a couple of friends because it’s so cool! I got a bit more into astrology in the last year, but still find it to be a little overwhelming with the amount of information there is to take in, so I especially love how this app gets rid of a lot of the “noise” and highlights the important patterns that can be hard to determine on your own. It seems like there’s a lot of good content available in the free version, definitely enough to make the app valuable even if you never plan to upgrade! I really hate when I download a new app and almost everything is behind a paywall, but at the same time I understand that most app developers are small companies that can’t afford to maintain good apps for free! From the perspective of someone that doesn’t know what used to be available for free in this app, I think they’ve struck a good balance in providing value with the option to upgrade for more. If you’re interested in astrology or personal development, I think this is a really cool app worth trying! Love the friendship and relationship bonds too, I’ve been having a lot of fun with creating those!

Obstacle to accessibility/but I still try to enjoy the app. I’ve had this app for a while and have always liked it. I even see there are many new features (for a fee). But one thing that is very important to consider is how making money an obstacle to audio. Many people are visually impaired and have struggled with this. Fortunately on many softwares there are dictation tools that read things aloud for you. The audio is a great way to show that accessible in your app. I would just reconsider what particular features you charge for as it can become a conflict with accessibility. I’d think that this app could go even farther if that was even advertised as a perk or priority in the app. Especially since you can get a little intro if the dictation. I use a lot of voice tools on my phone to communicate and I think removing the financial obstacle could promote the possibly of being a captain of industry

Happy but disappointed please respond. Hi! I really love this app me and my sister just started using it today i love it so much specially the time traveling thing is so cool! But the problem is i cant use time traveling. I honestly think they should take off the age thing when it comes to that. I really wanted to try the time traveling thing but me and my sister was disappointed that I couldn’t since were both very into astrology. By the way I'm 13 turning 14 on December 3 i really hope the feature changes one day. This is way better than co star in my opinion its just that one thing that i said thats really bothering me. Other than that i really don't have any complaints about this app i fully recommend! But if your 13 i don't really recommend as much but you could still listen to your older friends chart by calling them or asking them or maybe making them an separate account.

No respect for long time users. The app had a good base and WAS amazing to use as an original user when they first started. However, as the years went by, they started putting content behind a pay wall. And not just a tiny paywall. A MASSIVE, greedy paywall ($90+ a year) to view a very SMALL amount of mediocre content. To be clear, they didn’t come up with any NEW content at all (although I’m sure some random customer rep is gonna reply to me and tell me about all the exciting useless new content they made like “audio logs” and world updates, which literally nobody cares about). They just took stuff that was already free for their users and instead locked it up and forced them to pay to see it again. It just shows laziness as an app developer to not have something “new” to incentivize people to pay for, but instead screw over your original user base by restricting their access to things they already had access to, while expecting them to shell out hundreds of dollars for it. The information was fun and exciting but you really don’t get as much as you use to anymore, and it is because of this that I find myself using different apps now. At least with other apps and websites, I can literally just get this content for free without spending hundreds of dollars toward a greedy company.

Amazing Accurate, But Please Make It Look Nice. I would download a lot of astrology apps to understand myself, and then end up having to delete them off my phone because they would never satisfy me-this includes the other app Co-Star. I absolutely love Pattern, it is beautiful, and so accurate. I always receive relevant notifications about what is happening with me, and it blows me out of the water sometimes. I especially love how now we can all share our experiences! However, if the Pattern staff actually takes what they made very seriously, they would take the next step to update the look of the application (internally and externally), to a modern and more aesthetically pleasing design. Not all apps need to look amazing, because at the end of the day if it’s still working fine it is a keeper. At the same time, if Pattern is to remain relevant then make sure it matches up with the times visually.

Used To Love, Now I’m Disappointed. I never write reviews. I used to religiously use this app, it had become one of my favorites! Up until their recent update where they make you pay for the information that they never charged before! An app that has been in the app store for years. I honestly think it’s quite greedy that they would put such a price on it as well, especially during a pandemic which has costed so many people to lose their employment titles. This was truly a top performing app up until they decided to put a monthly charge on it, honestly ridiculous and quite disappointing. I know myself and many other people will not be using this app anymore. Please, don’t be purchasing a month subscription to The Pattern when there NEVER once one before, it’s such a greedy move for them to do. Highly disappointed. I used to recommend this app to my friends, but now I wouldn’t. They most likely will not be interested in The Pattern anymore omg e they’ve come to reality that they are now trying to charge people for the same information that was previously free from the beginning.

Please Add A Monthly Subscription. I’ve had this app ever since it came out and I really love and appreciate what I’ve been able to learn about myself and the people close to me because of it. This is back before the dating, the bonds, and the paid content. I have no problem paying for the service but I just have no desire to spend $40 when I barely open the app. I know it may sound crazy but I’d rather pay a small fee monthly and forget about it, even if it ends up being more money than the current options. Most of my time on The Pattern is a Saturday morning binge and when I come every few weeks to the app and I want to “go deeper” - I’m met with a paywall of two very unappealing options. I don’t want to be billed quarterly or yearly. In short, I don’t want to pay a large sum all at once for this service. I hope I was able to articulate my experience well. I want to keep learning about the people I love and support The Pattern! It’s one of the better astrology based apps out there. I just would like the option to pay monthly. Edit: Or a one-time option like Time Passages would be sufficient!

Really want to love this app, I see potential.... Okay. This app is so on point about who I am as a person, so much so that I find myself wanting to keep some of these insights handy so I can work through them, journal them, really deep dive (as I am a sufferer of childhood trauma) but for just ONE of my patterns I had to swipe through 30 different pages (each page a sentence or two) to get through to the end. In order to print so I could go back to later, I had to screen shot EVERY slide and then use another app to stitch those together. Can you not compile these personality patterns into just ONE scrollable, readable, bookmarkable, shareable page? Having to school through and remember 30 slides is overwhelming. Also, I answered one of the daily questions and was INSTANTLY bombarded by men private messaging me about my looks (and some had very crude things to say) and requesting me as a friend. I wish I could turn off the messaging feature because now I don’t even want to answer one of those daily questions due to the onslaught of harassment that ensued. This isn’t a dating app.

Uncanny. I’m a trained scientist and a fervent skeptic. However one of my friends suggested The Pattern because I like reading astrology as a tool to help frame my mind and the world in a more neutral or positive perspective. I don’t have any believe in anything spiritual but there are absolutely patterns so I can only imagine that there is some sort of scientific basis we haven’t figured out yet. This all to say I’m not just easily taken. This app is surprisingly accurate. Not just once in a while, constantly. There was even a time when something happened and I received a notification specifically pertinent to it less than 5 minutes later, without any possible way it could’ve just overheard me or something. I have come to look forward to every notification and update because of this. It’s also an incredible tool for diving into compatibilities with friends and lovers, whether they already have a profile or if you need to make a custom one. I wouldn’t want to live without this app and typically go into it multiple times a day. And I just use the free plan! I’m planning to try the paid because if it already provides this much value I’m so curious to see what the full experience is. Thank you for making this incredible app. I wish everyone was on it and it would replace Facebook.

Used to adore this app. This was my favorite app, probably of all time. When it first came out I was obsessed. I got so many friends to download it. I added manual profiles on everyone I know. The design was so sleek and the information innovative. Then… it changed. It took me a while to finally feel comfortable with the new update. Then it changed again. Every time it changes it is LESS user friendly and there is LESS information available. I understand that this is a popular app with a lot of valuable information. But the price is INCREDIBLY steep for what you once offered completely for free. It’s sad. I used to love this app. But now it’s not even aesthetically pleasing. It’s complicated to navigate. I enjoyed the original simplicity. I had a notification for my partner’s personal transit that began today- when I opened the app the home page looked completely different. I had to scroll all the way down in my contacts list to find my partner and swipe through multiple widgets to find the current transit… of the notification that I’d clicked on… all I’m saying is don’t fix it if it isn’t broken. It was perfect to begin with. Disappointed at how much it’s changed.

Great but bugs. I’ve been using this app since 2019. It’s very insightful and supportive. With the 4.0 came great updates but the BUGS need to be addressed: 1)parts of messages get stuck and I have to go out of the message and then go back in and try not to scroll too far to the top of the message (very odd); 2)I can no longer read the details of the pattern with my matches (I’m a paid upgraded member so I can access more information, did I lose this benefit without notice? I can still “go deeper” outside of the dating part); 3)twice, so far, I have unmatched connections and they’ve somehow still had the connection in their end, but with the messages gone, and they messaged me again so I still had to deal with them; 4)this isn’t related to the update, but I wish you had a process to report scammers AFTER they delete the connection. The person(s) could be engaged with others in the platform.

Disappointed by recent updates. This was previously my favorite astrology app, having used it for years. I was such a fan I made an entire channel on my discord server dedicated to astrology, getting my friends to make accounts and add each other. I have 10+ friends who were actively using the app, we were making posts and interacting with each other, and the information found here was much more in depth and accessible than any other app. This past year the app has changed drastically for the worst. First getting rid of the previous streamlined timeline layout, and removing the ability to share and make posts. Then further changing the UI, and removing more sections and features. Now I open up the app, and even more has been removed from the home page, we no longer have an independent profile section, or homepage compiling everything. I dread every update, and after this most recent one I question why I still have this app installed, even after close to 5 years of using it near daily. It’s just so disappointing, seeing the best astrology app for iOS, continuously degrade in quality.

Really Amazing App, but why a price tag on the connect part of it. I've been using this app since before the couple updates it underwent recently, for a couple years now and I have to say its one of m favorite astrology, personality, and compatibility apps I've ever used. Since the new update with the connect part of the app its been a very enjoyable and thrilling change and part to connect with other people, but I noticed once you start matching with people the app begins to charge you to be able to swipe right and like someone. This happens way before you run out of the daily profile searching, it's quite frustrating to have to pay for the likes eventually and not being able to swipe as many times as you'd like when going searching for matches or more people to connect with. Overall an extraordinary app I truly do love using and interacting in it, but it'd be nice for those simple like to be for free of charge throughout the while time you're able to still match with other users.

Astounding!. This app is so amazing. It is absolutely uncanny how well it describes my personality. And the daily vibes they send me are most of the time exactly the kinds of challenges I am currently dealing with, and it gives me the right amount of insight to be able to understand and make progress on my challenges. I am noticing that I feel much more calm and relaxed, knowing that I’m not alone in dealing with my issues. It feels like there’s a big cosmetic support network out there.I haven’t tried the friendship compatibility portion yet, but I have read some of the comments that others are posting and it is really helpful to see that all of us are in the same boat. I wish that I could access my daily vibes once I exit the app because sometimes I don’t have a chance to read them fully and if that is the case you have to remember to bookmark them or they are gone.

Wow. Spookily insightful. I’ve been using the app for about a half year now and referred dozens of people to it. The comment I get over and over is one of wonder at how they can possibly know so much about the day to day struggles each of us are dealing with. It’s like having a friend watching over your shoulder and giving you little hints on the meaning off each encounter and guidance on how to deal with them. How do you break old patterns that have been holding you back if you’re not aware of them? This app brings awareness. For me, I had started dating and when it began very differently than all my past failed relationships and felt so different than those, I was ready to say that it wasn’t a good fit. But then i used the “romantic bond” tool, and it told me why this was exactly the right thing to break the co-dependent patterns in my life! Boom. Discomfort recognized as purposeful. A fish who’s just discovered she’s in water and how to grow lungs. Lol I love the writing. Always loving and supportive and with a community of people lifting each other up. Great job and thank you Pattern developers!!

Was amazing until they decided to start charging you to view ... most of it.. I loved this app for about a year. And sure , I get the need to make money from an app, but this app went from 100% free to charging monthly subscription .. to view the VERY SAME THINGS THAT WERE FREE. There is not one thing that they added to justify the new fees. It’s literally the same info, but now you can’t open nearly any of those free features at all unless you sign up for monthly subscription. No other astrology app I have ever used charges this way — they charge by a profile one time (ex:time passages is $1 per birth chart... NOT by the month!) it’s a bad business model, and frankly I have gone to almost zero use of this app since. Someone on their team messed up in a big way by backtracking what users loved about the app and making the app totally useless and total crap for its longtime loyal users. The “updates” they tried to use to justify the new cost is literally nothing more than rearranging a few of the features around and changing the page design. So disappointed. Deleted this today.

App is good but. I really like this app, I think it’s very spot on most of the time and sometimes I get creeped out by how accurate the notifications I get can be lol. However, i’ve noticed the app keeps sending me the same recycled notifications constantly for some reason. For example, I get a notification saying: “it’s important for you to be viscerally and physically attracted to someone you’re in a serious relationship with” constantly. I get it like twice a month, and the same thing has happened with other notifications where it just feels like i’m being sent the same recycled messages and nothing new. Also, the app glitches with some of the custom profiles i’ve made and it will change the persons birthday for no reason. I’ll put the 20th and it always changes to 19 no matter how many times I refresh or try again. It has great potential to be such an amazing app but it just feels pretty meh right now. I still recommend the app to anyone that wants to get into astrology and getting to know themselves a little bit more, I still don’t know if it’s worth buying premium but definitely worth giving the app a chance.

Don’t Lose Yourself to This AI-driven App. There’s just enough accuracy to hook you, but if you truly know your chart well you’ll realize there is tons left out and lots of things that aren’t quite right or fully accurate, but since the few things it touches on are accurate you’ll be inclined to believe it - throwing your own experience and intuition out the window - and it will lead you down an unhealthy rabbit hole of navel gazing and self doubt. Check the chats - there are so many people mentioning suicide there. And perhaps not so coincidentally the site that supports the app has a suicide help and prevention hotline listed. There are articles written out there that say this app ruined their relationships and their mental health and I can see why: if you let a robot tell you who you are, beyond your own self awareness and self knowledge, then you’ve signed yourself up for cult-like allegiance and suffering. Do yourself a favor and keep your wits about you and realize that the stars impel, they do not compel. Astrology is a tool to help us, not something that we give up our free will and agency to in blind determinism and slavery. If you have healthy boundaries you should be okay; if not, beware.

Disappointing Unfortunate and Predatory. This use to be an app worth having. Why wouldn’t you make money off of ads instead of ruining the app for your users with paid content that was previously free. It’s the same content that literally doesn’t change much yet to go deeper we need to pay a ridiculous fee every 3 months. That’s really horrible and greedy of you. How could you go from helping humans make meaningful connections to charging them a ridiculous fee instead of say a 1 time even to view the same content many of your loyal users have already read? Or even asking for a one time fee from new users. I use to recommend this to all my friends and family now it’s a rip off of an app. Are there any plans to restore previously free content can you fix the bonds? Can you at least consider and apply making money from ads from companies rather then regular people. Smh can you do better?! Update: new interface is a jumbled up mess why would I want to see world transits first and have my personal timing buried making it hard to find. Added dating but no matter where I am there is always “not enough people” in my area forcing you to expand your search to miles away but you want ppl to pay $60 to actually see the connections they have? You don’t even have the “supply” to demand that. Smh it’s giving predatory.

It won’t let you delete your account!!!. Beware!! This app doesn’t let you delete your account and personal data from their database. I’ve tried deleting my account and it just takes me back to the login page, but with my account still active and personal information still in their possession!

Not accurate at all. Not 1 paragraph this app has written is even remotely accurate. Absolutely shocked. Why would anyone want to read about the way the people who never liked them, perceive you. Telling a Leo that they are controlling and always depending on a partner to give you things you can’t give yourself, is the most inaccurate and dishonest thing I’ve ever read thus far when it comes to a Leo.

New Update Disappointing. Really used to love this app and use it daily But since the new update I’ve stopped using it, it’s completely changed and not user friendly at all. It looks so dated, not sure why it was changed at all. Change it back to how it was! It was functioning great.

Great content but annoying interface. You’re reading this gripping pattern that makes so much sense but then you’re swiping between sentences page after page after page to read a single paragraph. Just make it one scrollable page so you can read it easily, and print it if you wanted...

It’s so incredibly accurate. I’ve had astrology readings before and then they sit in the drawer and get forgotten about. This app is incredible, the information is in real time and so accurate and I love being able to add “relationships”, which offers incredible insights. What a gift this app is!!

The accuracy just blows my mind. I continuously get blown away by the relevance of the messages in this app. Especially the friendship and partner compatibility assessments. A friend of mine recommended it to me and the I recommended it to another friend and we often send stuff it says to each other in disbelief. Though based on astrology it really doesn’t feel like astrology because it focuses on life’s patterns. I’d give this app more than 5 stars if I could.

Great app, insightful but no explanations=frustrating. There are no tangible explanations for how “the pattern” works. I guess it’s based on astrology, since date of birth and birth time are used but it’s all well and good to say “you are experiencing X” - what I want to know is the CAUSE of the pattern. What planets are in conflict, what do they represent, what house are they in and how does that affect my X... if you’re looking for a kind of eerily accurate daily oracle, this app is great. If you’re looking for explanations, this app offers very little. If the app would delve into that info, I’d give it 5/5 stars.

So Interesting. I love the insights into what is happening in my life at the moment, the different life cycles and what’s coming up for me. Some more frequent updates would be great, but I read the app once a week or so and love it.

Especially if the notion of the pattern has already been questioned in your mind before. The Pattern is now Capitalised. I love this app with all my heart. I’ve been on it for over 4 years. Now though, in order to properly read anything, I have to pay $40+ for a membership. For what used to be free! I keep the app for notifications now. When I open it up to find more information, i’m usually a disappointing add. Vague paragraphs is not what this app used to be. Now, for those without money to throw around, this app is only for notifications and singular paragraphs.

Very responsive to feedback. I contacted the team because I was unable to create an account and they responded very promptly, and pushed out an update to the app to fix the issue within less than 12 hours. I am very impressed!

It’s good needs some improvement. I really love this app and the pattern for daily and 6 month cycles and also running bonds. However there are some improvements that need to be made. Instead of having the information on so many slides, just have it on a few or even one where you can just scroll down and read. And then this way you can easily export/share it with a friend instead of having to share 10-20 slides. It would be great to have a home page that actually has an explanation of what the pattern is and the main parts of the wheel - eg delicate, extraordinary etc and then frustration etc. would be good to understand if you have multiple of one what does this mean or is there things that should be avoided. Please make improvements.

Daily updates doesn’t work. Hey guys, this last week the little icon that shows daily updates when tapped (similar to Instagram stories) doesn’t work. I’m not able to access my daily horoscopes.

Used to really love this app. Now they just keep changing it to LOOK all flash. It’s super hard to find what you’re looking for now. And it’s full of irrelevant things I don’t want or need. And all the stuff I do want to look at seems more shut down now to entice you to pay the ridiculous prices for the app. And it seems with multiple areas and things to pay for it’s not even a monthly rate that covers everything. It’s just silly. Everyone gets so greedy and ruins good things. I don’t want audio readings. I don’t wan’t soundscapes. I just want an easy list of daily update info and all the regular timings and bonds. Please go back to how easy to read you used to be.

Very limited unless you pay $$$$$$. Originally the app was good but lately with the new update it is way to expensive and practically useless to download the app when everything is locked. I’m disappointed as it WAS a favourite app but I will no longer be using it. If the Subscription was cheaper I’d be happy but it’s $50 upfront.

Life-changing App. Freakishly accurate. The timing of cycles are spot on. Has definitely put me on a more spiritual path and I’m much better able to deal with the things life throws at me because I now know the reasons behind them. Thanks to this app I also understand why I’ve been stuck in certain patterns for much of my life, and how to work towards getting out of them and reaching my full potential

Amazing but hate new feature. I love love love this app it always blows my mind I have dozens of screenshots taken because of the accuracy, however they’ve recently updated and changed the feed or main page and I hate it so much it’s so much more complicated for no reason, I really wish they would take it back like it used to be.

Scarily Accurate and Really Helpful O.O. My friend introduced me to this app and I was legit skeptical at first. But after being finally convinced to try it out I was mind blown - how the hell you guys manage to get it almost 100% accurate is beyond me. Especially with the life/time cycles and daily updates - I’ve gotten so pretty good advice as well!! I double checked the app on my friends phone and it was also completely different and accurate to them too. Thanks for making it btw - it’s been really helpful to me at this period in my life.

Repetitive. I loved this to begin with but now I just seem to get the same readings again and again. It’s like there is a group of about 8-10 on a loop. Without an indication of the short and long term transits influencing these traits or lessons it’s disheartening to think this app is not what it’s claiming to be.

Almost Like Looking Into a Crystal Ball. That’s right folks! The information is amazingly accurate! How it’s done, only the app developers know. For me personally, the readings are on-point. They are great reminders of where I am stuck, my sacred wounds and a great reminder of where my SUPER POWERS are. And then how my behaviours relate to others. It feels like I am looking into a crystal ball. 🙏

New update not good. Really loved this app for so long, but now since the new update the way you navigate everything it makes me not want to use the app I think you guys need to go back to the drawing board or simply just change it back. Don’t know a single person who likes the new update

Free features now paid subscription :(. This is a really good app. Really insightful and crazy accurate. It’s just sad that I now have to sign up for a monthly subscription to access features that once were free

Is it change for improvement?. Please bring back some of the old interface! Formerly 5 stars. 3 with the new. I don’t wish to engage with this one. The visual ease and clarity in navigation of prior releases was superior to this, with the singular exception of the header bar.

Crashed. I clicked on the app to check my pattern a few days after I downloaded the app and it took me back to the log in screen. I put my details in and the circle loading thing came up then went away and took me back to the log in or sign up screen. Please help. Besides that everything was amazing, it helped a lot.

A bit of a downer. I liked the idea of starting my day with the intentions and focus the app suggests, however I’ve found it to be a consistently negative experience that doesn’t really match my current level of self development. For example today’s one was all about how I may currently not be able to find a good romantic relationship because of unrealistic expectations. I’m currently in a great relationship so it was just a downer to read and also not very relevant.

Embracing your pattern. The pattern is a great app, i love seeing the questions of the day , especially if im feeling slightly off centre. The questions posed can help u to dive deeper into self honesty and healing. It gives basic insight into your progress in alignment with your star and birth charts it also gives great analysis of connections and similarities... i would definitely recommend this app

Best astrology app so far!. Out of the 7 astrology/chart apps I have in my phone, this is by faaaar the best! It’s not full of “generalised/cryptic” bs like so many others! It’s so easy to use and connect with friends. And most importantly (after a couple of months of viewing my daily readings) it’s insanely and tbh, freakishly accurate!!😳🤯😱🙌👏👏👏I have recommended it to many friends who agree!

Accurate Insightful. This ap has been one of the best I’ve ever downloaded. I find if I ignore what it says it will tell me until I accept it, that is a trait of mind though!

Sidereal VS tropical. It would be great to have an option to set the app to either sidereal or tropical. I work with the sidereal system and while I find this app really good for transits and synastry, I find i often don’t resonate with tropical readings. It’s simply not the accurate snapshot of the sky.

Do NOT update your app- awful format. I loved The Pattern and made the mistake of updating the app a few days ago. I wish I hadn’t! It’s so hard to navigate. It was much easier to clearer before. Can’t find certain categories. Don’t bother updating it.

Forced to pay for what was free.. Having offered all the full options of the app for free, all the “go deeper” information is now locked behind a paywall. I don’t mind a one-off payment for lifetime use, but forcing a subscription onto users who have been accessing this information FOR FREE since the BEGINNING of the app release is an awful way to treat the user base.

write a review. i first got on to the app as i was on twitter one day and SZA wrote smthn about having it due to her psychologist recommending it or whatever. at first i found it somewhat inaccurate about me. over time it gradually became more accurate and one day out of no where i got the craziest pattern that related to me on a deeper level, was so relevant within my life at the time (and still is now) and it contained so much helpful information that i could use to put everything into perspective. i feel like it’s great for guidance, as it’s helping me along on my journey of healing (recent dead parent, once again struggling with myself for the past 8 months, ect, ect) so i really appreciate it. you will get a few patterns that you may feel don’t relate at all, but it’s your choice what you are going to do with that information. i love it and i love getting daily notifications, especially when it’s multiple a day

Love the app- Does not include plants/aspects. I love this app and find the interpretations resonate, however one thing I find that is a disadvantage to other apps is there are no planets, houses and aspects for each timing and/or interpretation Please update the app to show what you are using to create these interpretations

used to love this app. the 4.0 version of the app is not an upgrade:( There are many things that aren’t available now and the look of the new version is not as appealing. I loved the content of this app, but the new version makes me not want to check it.

Inaccurate!!!!. This app has given me the wrong ascendant and midheaven.. which is very bothersome. Also the help button doesn’t work and nobody cares to help you :)

App keeps crashing. My app keeps crashing everytime I click “read more” in a bond reading. It’s been 3 months since this started,um help? Or fix it? I like the interpretations in this app lol.

Good but could be better. I like this app but when you click “Go Deeper” it’s a never ending slide of information. Tone it down!

New update is off-track and harmful. Since the community posting update – much like an explore page for entries by users on the app – it feels the Pattern was trying to aim for interconnectedness but instead puts users at risk for triggers and invasive information. So far all of the posts have public users with their names and photos visible, and on top of that all of the posts so far have been about extremely personal, intimate, and very harmful content. Public posts from users we don’t follow should be moderated, at the very least with content warnings or anonymize the user unless they are on our follow list. It’s very ironic as the Pattern doesn’t disclose planetary placements and transits however the community section can unintentionally lead to harmful consequences rather than salvation and deepening connections from strangers. An astrology app aiming to provide personal guidance should also apply boundaries and moderation when it comes to user -generated content. Without moderation, this app will definitely do more harm than good. The last thing I expected to come across in the Pattern’s community section were several posts on self-harm at the first and second scroll. Please update this for the safety of your users.

Please make under 18 romantic bonds!!. I love this app so much. If there can be a way to make romantic bonds if strictly both people are under 18 and all sexual bonds were removed I think it would be super insightful😊

Good app but overpriced imo. I enjoy this app but would be much more inclined towards the in app purchases if the price was adjusted. In my region there’s a quarterly option for $39.99 or annually for $99.99. I think the app developers have missed the mark with this pricing and probably would make WAY MORE MONEY if the pricing was more reasonable or even if there was a per month option, or per use. I suspect what happens to me every time probably happens to many others, they rope me in with the interesting info and will only reveal more if I pay. but there’s no way I’m gonna pay that price just to see this one thing that I’m immediately interested in. Just so not worth it.

used to be GREAT but now its ugly and expensive. i NEVER write reviews on ANYTHING. the pattern is one of the most (scarily) accurate astrology based apps i have ever downloaded, and 3-4 years ago i used to LOVE it. all my friends had it, we would make profiles for people we knew, it was a lot of fun and i look back at it fondly. i was so disappointed to redownload the pattern in a time of uncertainty and see that not only is everything now behind a paywall, but they also made the interface so ugly for no reason lol. i was even considering paying for it because i know they have to make money, i really do think its accurate and i have liked this app for a long time, but like. did you have to make it ugly as well? jesus christ. way to ostracize longtime users. i’m sad!

Purchases crashing. I keep trying to go to my purchases as I don't want to be charged for another subscription and it keeps crashing. Is there another way to change it?

Repetitive and Inconsistent. I like reading the patterns, but they get very repetitive and I don’t even get a pattern every day.

Paywall. This was one of my favourite astrology related apps until they recently put a paywall in front of everything that used to be free... very disappointing, your long time users are not impressed! The app is useless now!

Not accessible. As a deaf person I shouldn’t have to pay for a transcript to understand the spoken dialogue on this app, not accessible at all!

New design. The new design is not appealing at all, seems very old and 2015 type. It makes me not want to use the app anymore, it is not aesthetically pleasant at all and pushes me away from the app. Is there any projection of going to the old design?

Clarity. Great app just with the print was bolder and the background had more contrast to the print.

Good overall but 1 thing. I’ve really liked having this app. The timing and cycles is really helpful. My only complaint is the dating/connection part. I ended up paying for it to open up more options. After a few days there was a pop up to invite people and it won’t go away!! Now I can’t even connect with anyone! It also only unlocked the dating part and not other parts of the app. Total waste. Just use the free version.

Visually Unappealing. The information is generic. The app looks hideous and less aesthetically pleasing. I downloaded this app as my interest in astrology has grown but I learn nothing using it.

Great app! Limited payment options. Love this app, would really like to see more flexible tiered payment options such as the ability to purchase individual audio recordings or monthly payments.

Error Fetching Messages. I can’t receive or send any messages for Connect+ i paid a subscription in order to get this benefit but i can’t not. Please fix this.

Has been bugging out a lot. I’ve been locked out for days now. It logged me out randomly and my account is through my number every time I get a verification code to sign back in and input the code it says can’t be verified at this time and I can’t find support to help with it. I tried deleting it and reinstalling but nothing has been working. I used to really like the app.

Go Deeper Now Costs Money??. It’s a real shame that so many of the features that used to be free, now require a subscription. I’m disappointed. I used to love this app, and certain content still resonates, but you guys should have been more innovative with your plan to monetize. Not cool at all.

A Trashy Scam. This app has subscriptions that are way too overpriced for no reason when everything once provided was free three years ago. Charging $100 for pseudoscience? Really? There are several “professional” astrologers who can give people in-depth readings for $50 or less. This app is cookie-cutter astrology with obtuse descriptions for charts who demand that you pay to “Go Deeper”, when it’s the same crap just said differently with run on sentences. It’s like every astrology website out there, basic descriptions that don’t need to charged over to read but this one has terrible glitches. It’s embarrassing how subscriptions are so expensive yet the app has continuous bugs. Update after update and the app is glitching out like Stephen Hawking in his wheelchair. The developers of the app are charging people $100+ for scraps of nothing. You can’t even look at regular readings without the app crashing and closing completely and the developers have the same excuse of “It’s a bug we’ll fix it.” It’s sick and sad how they give false hope to people wanting to use what’s supposed to be a good astrology app only for them to be met with a faulty scam. The developers of The Pattern have shown time and time again that they are money hungry and simply don’t care for the real efficiency and success of the app. To the people who are contemplating downloading this garbage, save your time and checkout astrologers on Tumblr, YouTube, Reddit and TikTok. Don’t degrade yourself with this poor excuse of an app.

who would pay for an astrology app?. $100 a year is almost gross. This used to be my favourite app but you are. or able to read anything other than your horoscope which i can do anywhere. What a shame, always over greed.

THANKS CHANNING TATUM. This app used to be awesome and informative a few years ago. Then Channing Tatum found it, blasted it to his millions of followers and then the server crashed. The pay wall was introduced pretty soon after, which was disappointing but bearable. Now the UI is atrocious 👎🏾

It used to be good. When I first downloaded the app I loved it and found it to be very accurate and a good tool for self discovery. But since the updates the navigation got confusing, most content is locked for paying users, and I don’t have access to half of the things I used to.

Disappointing turn for a really amazing app. This app was a 5 star app when it was free. Really sad to see them monetize the best parts of it, now it’s just a generic astrology app (doesn’t even list your planets or zodiac info so it’s not really even that). Super disappointing...

Price increase?. $79.99 per year is pretty steep increase when most users aren’t using the app daily. I was one of the original users who have been using the pattern since it first came out. I enjoy a lot of the features but the app is very buggy. I constantly have to close the app to refresh because it freezes and prevents any and all function to the app. I feel if you’re going to be increasing the price- maybe focus on the bugs first. Also is there a way to opt out from the “dating site feature” to lower the price? Maybe have a personalized tier system of what features users want to use vs what they don’t. With the high cost of living it would be sad to budget the Pattern out this year. I use it primarily for the therapeutic messages and timings and nothing really much more…i like to go deeper is really all.

Before vs after. A year ago, it was absolutely the best app ever. They have monetize it and it’s just really not the same.

Make you pay for functionality that was previously there. Disappointing that they have removed features that used to be free and made them only available if you pay a subscription. They should have considered different ways to monetize

Broken. I updated the app and now it's broken, the home page won't load anymore and it makes an error 500.

New update sucks. I hate that you can only run 6 bonds in a day. Used to be unlimited! And switching between friendship & romantic counts as 2 runs. Really blows because the app is creepily accurate!

Regret updating this app. This was a great app until they went for the cash grab. I can get the same features on other apps for like $2 so definitely won’t pay for any sort of subscription. Wish I hadn’t updated the first time and never will again

Like the app but can’t view my daily patterns. For the longest time the app worked great but lately I haven’t been able to view my daily patterns unless I click my notifications. They show up as empty in the app and I can’t rewatch them. I didn’t report the issue as I was hoping that it would get fixed with an update but it’s now been months and it’s still the same.

Corporate since update. Every time I update this app it revokes privileges and is basically a pay wall over more and more features. I have had the pattern for several years and I’ve paid a few times, but they’ve made it so inaccessible that you need to pay at least $40 CAD to use most features that used to be free. 2 stars for the culture collapsing money grab. You can learn how to read your own birth chart for the same price and that’s what I recommend anyone else do instead of pay $40 (there’s not even an option to pay monthly for less - they want to lock you in of course)

Eye opening. I didn’t download this app to use it as a social networking app. I heard about it from a friend and was warned that the accuracy of the app is almost creepy... and it is. It’s been an eye opening experience reading my pattern. This app combines multiple methods of astrology and translates it into terms that can be understood by everyday people. I highly recommend downloading this app if you want to get to know yourself more. I found that when I was being honest with myself... 95% of the stuff on this app was accurate. 5 stars! Also appreciate that there’s no ads on this app because it’s something I look at almost every morning and I try to avoid social media for this reason... these days anything you use on your phone will try to sell you stuff.

Sad and disappointing. I really liked the app, like a lot! I’m currently struggling in a few areas in life, like I don’t know what to do with my life and all, especially when it comes around relationships. The app REALLY helped and guided me through these dark times, but now, it costs money to see the deeper content revolving around how to deal with relationships. :(( Every time I’m in doubt or forgetting why things are happening the way it is, I would go and re-read the deeper content to remind myself and to stay strong. It’s really sad and disappointing to see my fav app get swamped by capitalism.

Who Would Pay for an Astrology App During a Pandemic?. In the past I liked this app and recommended it to friends/relatives. The app prompted us to be vulnerable and have honest conversations. We laughed, we cried. It was fun. I had my gripes with the app; I didn’t like that the app was secretive about its astrology. The app doesn’t state the house system it uses to draw birth charts, it doesn’t tell you what placements/aspects/transits are being observed in patterns. I didn’t like that the app put so strong an emphasis on transits, making transits out as end all, be all events that have right/wrong ways to navigate them (which isn’t healthy). Nevertheless, it was a great introduction to astrology for newbies. And as someone who’s knowledgeable about astrology/numerology, I could usually identify the astrology of patterns and timings. Whatever house system the app uses, their interpretations can be very accurate. However, the app recently introduced a paywall. Now the ability to go in depth with patterns is locked behind a paywall. I was already weary when bonds were limited to a set number a day, but this is so sudden and large of a jump it’s offensive. Now the only things that are free are spammy notifications and discussion threads of strangers talking about themselves.. because that’s what I downloaded the app for! No exaggeration, it’s easier for me to learn about total strangers’ patterns than it is to learn my own friends’. As other reviewers said, this app just became a lot less useful. I can no longer recommend this app to others. It would be kind of a hard sell. “Hey, download this app with a monthly charge even though you’ll probably only use it once a week at 1AM when your therapist is sleeping and you wanna know why your parents treated you that way.”

Love it but room for improvement. I love this app, i love how accurate the notifications can be to how i’m feeling in the moment and i check it everyday, however i do wish it showed what planet placements or whatever contributed to our patterns but that is something i don’t really mind however i have been experiencing one issue which is the only reason didn’t give it 5 stars which is that every few days i get logged out and then I cant log back in and then i’ll try again later and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t and it’s sort of frustrating, anyways if that could be fixed somehow it would be really awesome but if not i still really like this app and i think it’s aesthetically pleasing to look at and easy to navigate and i love how you can run your bonds with other ppl and overall i think the developers did a great job

Insightful but now overstepping. I really liked this app when I first got it a few years ago. On one hand you will get great, insightful pieces of info on your chart. It’s highly personalized, tailored to you, which means plenty for you to learn and plenty for you to think about what sort of action to take based on your traits. HOWEVER, lately the app has been sharing these highly personal traits with my connections, as full-page read outs, at random and without my knowledge. I think this is where they lost me—this info is supposed to be for me and my own self-improvement. How embarrassing! This isn’t fostering connection (like their in-feed social questions do). Nope nope nope, this kind of thing should be left up to the users to share if they want, not plucked and shared at random by the app. I feel pretty unsafe on here and I imagine it’s only going to get more unruly the more they venture into dating. I’m outta here.

UPDATED Love the app but it won’t open anymore. It is fixed and wonderful and STILL a 5 star! I love the truth I feel from this app, I don’t know how it’s so spot on but it has been a useful tool in my life lately and helped me understand why certain things may be happening and allowing me to slow down and evaluate rather than fall into some rut. Obviously not every rut can be avoided. I love this app, I was strictly on costar for so long but came across this from a friends story on Instagram and I fell in love immediately! So much more depth I feel and I love all the daily updates. Now please fix this crashing issue because I’ve missed the last 2 days now :((( 5 stars even with the crash but please fix it :)

I miss the old pattern & Connect is disappointing!!. Ever since the update a year or two ago, the app is WAY less accessible. You can barely read anything and can only access the same repetitive info. I also dislike Connect, their attempt at a dating app service. Not only is there barely any info on users because a description is not mandatory, but they limit how many people you can swipe through because they want you to “truly consider connecting with others” over incessant swiping. I think that this concept does not work when info on people’s profiles is not mandatory… how are you supposed to consider connections only interacting with photos? It plays into the failures of other apps and, yet again, will probably only exist as some form of validation for its users instead of creating actual potential for connections.

Couldn’t live without it. How did I live without this app before?! I rely on it so much and share it with people all the time. That probably sounds crazy, but it’s on point all the time! Nothing ever seemed to pertain to me in astrology before. But holy crap… My favorite part is using the relationship bonds to figure out what a potential partner and I would be like together. I’m constantly asking people when they were born so I can plug them in. (I have to do this in a way that they don’t think I’m phishing for their security questions 😂😂😂.) It’s been super helpful to understand my relationship dynamics with so many people in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this app 🙏🙏🙏

amazing but now it costs. I wish I could rate thus 3.5 stars. I love this app, but it’s been changing recently. When I got it in the summer, all the features with the compatibility with others were free. I loved it and used it a lot. Then, a few months ago they changed it to “bonds” so you could only compare your compatibility with someone 4 times a day. (The add on of the public figures feature was cool, so you could see if you were compatible with someone famous!) However, I went on the app today for the first time in at least a month. Now, when running the bonds, in order to click “go deeper” and get more info, you need a monthly subscription? Really? It’s a shame because this app was really great and free. I’ll still use it for all the free features but I won’t be paying monthly just to run bonds.

AMAZING for both skeptics and fans!. I believe this is my first app review ever, but I just had to write a five star review for this app! It is truly amazing, in the actual meaning of that word. I was completely skeptical of astrology, but at some point during COVID lockdown I was bored enough to randomly download this app. Playing around with the ‘Your Timing’ feature using the dates of key events in my life to see what the app had to say has been both impressively accurate and helpful. Based on how much I love this app, a number of my friends (also astrology skeptics) have downloaded it, and they’ve also been impressed by its accuracy. This has also allowed us to use the ‘bonds’ feature to look at what the app has to say about our friendships, which has again been really accurate. On the topic of bonds - the app added a ‘Connect’ feature you can opt into which allows you to look for people you are compatible with. At the very least, it is giving you more information than Bumble would! Even if you are a complete skeptic, give this app a try! It requires no knowledge of or interest in astrology whatsoever.

AMAZING 🤩. This has got to be one of the best astrology apps ( and I’ve downloaded all of them at one point lol ) and has been completely underrated thus far. It’s imperative as a collective of human beings, that we stop participating in the spiritual bypassing along with complete denial of the negative toxic traits that keep us stuck in these continual painful loops that is caused by trauma we’ve yet to look at , heal and integrate. Not only does this app address that which keeps us in these loops but it also allows us to see how those traits affect our relationship with others. As a spiritual life coach who uses astrology to help my clients recognize the patterns keeping them from reaching there true authentic self, I always recommend this app and I am excited to see the new features the developers come up with in the future.

Why remove deeper natal chart info?. This app has continued to be different than CoStar because it’s always gone deeper into the “astrology” that defines us - our natal charts. While the new function that shows what in your natal chart is influencing timing and encourages you to click on your natal chart info (top right), it brings you to a static image of a natal chart and a list of your “signs”, but doesn’t go any deeper. Why even bother showing the aspects of our natal chart as relates to timing if we can’t go deeper into our natal chart characteristics? This is an issue for a few reasons: 1. This weakens the value proposition for using pattern vs other tools 2. It’s already been established by users that the “world update” feels like it’s not personal and unclear how the world updates are applicable to the individual users 3. We have you personal details - full names, birth day, time of birth, birth location… if you’re going to take such personal information then do something with it beyond a static image of our natal charts. We are on this app to learn and without the personalization and ability to explore how our natal charts are related to things like world updates and timing, it becomes what people don’t like about astrology; horoscopes. I don’t need someone to predict something that I can’t further explore. That’s what Buzzfeed is for. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

However… I’d like to respectfully request the return of the ‘Coming Soon’ feature in the ‘Your Timing’ section! 😭😂 Not only do I miss it, but the ‘Time Travel’ feature seems to be struggling at the moment, maybe due to some kind of update bug - I was only able to see any upcoming ‘Timings’ by choosing a seemingly random date in the future (way past my current ‘Timings’) - otherwise, I’d just get a blank screen. My friend hasn’t been able to see any upcoming ‘Timings’ at all, no matter what date she chooses - she only gets blank screen any father past her current ‘Timings’ (a little ominous!! 🤣) Other than that… astounding app, truly magical!

BEST APP DOWNLOADED. Honestly this app is the most peaceful app that I have downloaded and it has helped me much more than other calming apps that I’ve tried. My only issue is that you don’t get to connect with people a bit more intimately. As in you don’t get to directly message people and chat with them, also I’d like if we could more personalize it to fit us both appearance wise and informatively, but I’m not complaining the colors are comforting while reading. Overall this is a app I will never delete and I wish I would’ve found this app sooner. It definitely helps you find people who are similar to you. I love this app. There’s also a bug that when I add someone and then go to my profile , it doesn’t update to say they are my friend ex. If I have 6 friends and add a person and go to my profile it should say 7 but it says 6 until I close and re open the app.

Generic content, scam. This app reminds me of the psychic at the state fair who sees your wedding ring and then tells you you’re married. Most things will apply because they apply to everyone. This is app is a scam. “ You may calm your anxieties with food, exercise, or shopping.”( Isn’t this universal?) “Because comfort is important to you, you may find it difficult to leave what is familiar.” (At times everyone likes comfort. Which essentially is the familiar. Universal.) “You love cuddling and the physical closeness it brings.” (Who are the people who don’t like cuddling? Universal.) “You have likely had challenging relationship experiences.” (Relationships are at times challenging for everyone. Universal.) Really? Who are the people these statements do not apply to? These are broad descriptions where they essentially define common elements of our humanness. As someone who has training and experience with designing questionnaires and administering behavioral assessments, my opinion is this app is for entertainment purposes only and provides no value. Don’t waste your time.

It’s ok, needs some tweaks. So, it’s mostly accurate for me, but a lot of things it says I do, I’ve learned to stop doing. So I’m diverging from the pattern. Maybe it would be more accurate if I was younger, more unfinished? Also, it’s 2020, make options for multiple partners. This is polyam101. Even people who aren’t poly would probably want this feature (not that I approve of cheating, but there are other relationship constructs). Keep your morality out of the app, it doesn’t belong here. And why do you not have options for familial relationships in the bonds? Are you working on this? It’s fine to say that the friendship bonds don’t consider familial patterns, so go write that script! This should be at the top of the list, were you raised in an orphanage or something and family triggers you? This will benefit literally everyone on this platform, plus all their family members.

Disappointing. I have used this app now for over 6 years and although they’ve made some interesting changes and improvements to the app over the past year or so the paid aspect is disappointing. I can’t begin to tell you how many people I’ve recommended download this app over the time I’ve been on it and now one of the features “time travel” that was a huge draw for me is a paid feature now and it just really disappointing. Any app that charges the amount that it charges and doesn’t have the ability to contact support or customer service is just shady in my eyes. It shows me that the designers have moved away from actual care as far as their content and have been seduced by the old mighty dollar. I get that it’s competitive and we all have to make a living but it’s disheartening to see yet another platform detach from their initial intended purpose. Sad.

Very cool if you're not an astrologer. This is a very cool app where you can learn more about your friends through "Patterns." These Patterns you assume would be assigned based on certain astrological formations, but they do not tell you which one. I wish they would identify what formation you got in your chart that made them assign that pattern. Like did I get the "Freedom and Uniqueness" Pattern because of my Sagittarius Midheaven, or my Aquarius Rising? Additionally, you could do something called a Bond on this app, which looks at your friendship or romantic compatibility based on the individual astrological formations, which astrologers know as synastry. It will tell you about your relationship, which is very accurate most of the time, but it never explains how it came to these conclusions. My friend and I have "Excellent Compatibility." Is it because our Suns and are sextile and ascendants are trine? I assume there is some algorithm which helps to calculate the Patterns and the Bonds, so the answer is able to be found. I think it would really benefit explaining WHY someone got a certain Pattern/Bond and not just assigning them one. Additionally it does not show anyones birthchart, and I feel that is essential for anyone who studies astrology. Good app, otherwise, just may be a little frustrating in that regard for the astrologically versed individuals.

Like Everything but the chat space. Over and over, I get a little red dot in the “chat” space and as an intelligent 65 year old woman, it is tedious and insidious to have 95% of the approaches like some sort of dating app. “Hi beautiful”. “ Hey Darling”. I would call this app fabulous but for that little red signal... and the parade of men trying to hook up. I love the interactions around the daily question. I love the sharing people do in the context of the pattern. Any time I try to engage or try to have an interesting conversation, with the exception a very small handful, I encounter a shallow parade of vain selfies and pushy digging that comes to that chat space. It feels like I’ve walked into a bar with a bunch of horny college boys wondering if they’re going to snag something. If there was a way to opt out of the chat thing, I would do it in a minute.

Used to love this app before they got greedy. Honestly I really did love this app so much when I first downloaded it 3+ years ago. It provided all kinds of very interesting (and accurate!) natal chart-type information without using hard-to-understand astrological terms, which really was invaluable to me as a beginner with this stuff. All kinds of information regarding transits (timing) and bonds with others, both friendly and romantic, completely at my fingertips. Now, however, they’ve taken that exact same information and put it all behind a paywall. I can’t go deeper on my romantic connection/timing with my boyfriend without paying a minimum of $20 for three months of access. It’s just really disheartening and disappointing; I’ve yet to find another app like this one, but I simply cannot justify being charged so much to subscribe to information that was once included 😔 I’m not big on writing these reviews, but seriously this one does make me that sad.

Amazing, I do have one suggestion though!. Obviously, whoever is writing the passages is very learned in astrology, behavior, philosophy and in general spirituality. I feel that the information isn’t just general terms hoping to make sense through vague statements, but is actually very specific. The writer gives different possibilities for why you do the things you do, and it’s because it comes down to the fact that we are complex beings. Our underlying behavior for what we do is what is being uncovered. One thing I’d love to see for this app is to be able to compare friendships, not only relationships. It’s useful for single people; but for me it’s only a one time use kinda deal. I’d like to compare friendships as well. Much love, thank you for the amazing app! Wildly Accurate to the T!. I’ve been using this amazeballs app for quite some time and I find it creepily but wildly accurate. It is definitely more in depth rather than those surface level horoscope ones! I’ve laughed, cried & basically felt every other emotion known to humanity when checking to see what my day is going to look like. Or perhaps running a bond to see if any of these remarkable divine feminine women are a compatible match to my cray (crazy good)! I’ve referred many people to whom which have signed up but for some reason have not added me (wth am I doing right over here?!?). I encourage YOU to invest in uploading this free app and get started on learning how & why you show up every day based on the patterns we’re in. Great App, Poor Recent Execution :(. I never review but I NEED them to hear this. I don't feel the subscription idea isn't bad when it came to your "dating app" announcement since most dating apps also have subscriptions, it wouldn't be so odd. What is terribly odd is to put a price on features on the app that have been free since forever! The best parts of the app was the ability to go "deeper". What's the sense in adding a subscription feature to things your users have been loving and relying on for years? I took to the recent app store reviews and found I was not alone. I used to recommend your app to everyone, even people who were skeptical about astrology simply because your app has always been so digestible. I can no longer do that since my favorite features are now needing to be paid for. Why would anyone who was skeptical of astrology start off paying for information? This doesn't feel like a smart business move on your behalf and I hope you reconsider this soon. Until then, I will be removing the app from my phone.

The abrupt pay wall was a SLAP in the face for users. This was a great app until they decided to start charging their customers for the content they used to get to view for free. There should have been a Grandfather clause of sorts where only *new* app users would have to pay for the “premium” content. As a business owner and marketer, I have so much gratitude for the customers who have been with me from the beginning. They get discounts and special offers for life just for being with me when I was just getting off the ground. And if I were to turn around and charge them for content they used to get for free, they would be livid. But moreover, there would be a loss of trust. Pattern developers, you lost my trust. I understand the business side of the equation. But if you really cared for your customers, you would have granted your “OG” members lifetime or at least a 3-6 month period of “Extended Access” where you announced that you’d be changing the pay structure and you gave your OG members the opportunity to save and/or download their more detailed information before you revealed the pay wall. Your abrupt change without any forewarning felt like a slap in the face. This was poor leadership and poor communication. Though I’d still like access to the content that was once very valuable, I’m hesitant to put money in the pockets of those I don’t trust.

New update is disappointing and restricting to minors. I’ve been a loyal user of The Pattern for years. I trusted this app a lot in giving me great insight into my romantic life. It shocked me how much they were able to predict and pinpoint parts of my past relationships that made them stronger or crumble. My complaint is that I am 16 years old and I can no longer access the key feature I’ve been using this app for years- the Romantic feature. I must be 18 or older to use it. What’s so wrong about the Romantic feature that it’s locked away from minors? Back when I used it, there was no notion of anything X-rated or of adult content that should be hidden from minors. Why is it all of a sudden hidden now? Because this key feature is now locked to me, I’m contemplating deleting this app. There’s no other reason for me to use this app unless I am given access to the Romantic features. At least make it for 13 year olds or higher or myself and many other young lovers depending on this feature will stop using your services.

Loving it. So far this is an amazing app. The only things I would change are the age restrictions for the romantic connections. I mainly say this because most people start having crushes and experimenting before they are 18. For example, I have been in a relationship for about 7 months, but I can’t check it on the app because I am 16. If I was a developer of this app I would just bump it down to 12 or so because that is around the time that people start teaching that point in puberty. That should be around the time when middle schoolers are transferring into high school. Plus, it’s just fun to compare your good relationships with your toxic ones. Like, I would love to be able to look at my seventh grade boyfriends statistics, but I can’t. The second thing I would change is more of a question. I was just wondering if you could add a freebie or two to the time traveling part. I’m assuming you aren’t going to, but I wanted to check mine from back in 2020. Obviously there was a global pandemic, but that is also when my dad passed away. I can’t afford to do the time travel, but if I can in the furthest I will. You guys are doing amazing so far, keep up the good work!

Good app but recent changes.... I loved this app for a very long time, but now they have made it so you have to pay to use a lot of features and that includes many features that you used to be able to do free - not just new features. It’s really quite disappointing. I don’t mind paying for certain things but when it’s something I have had access to for so long without paying, it’s quite frustrating. If they were brand new features than I would understand more. But anyways, besides the money annoyance this app is well done. A lot of good information and I love being able to see and read about compatibility on romantic relationships as well as the new friendship bond feature with people I have added. The timing feature is pretty cool and has resonated more often than not as far as what cycle I’m in. Overall I really enjoy the app

Too many bugs. The content is great but too many issues. Right now I can see notifications but nothing happens when I click on them. I can’t get to the actually thing. And the bell always says I have a new notification no matter how many times I view it. Plus you can’t exchange numbers with people on the connect feature. The message automatically “fails”. U don’t get notified when people message you, and certain patterns appeared out of the blue when they started months ago. Previous bugs above have been fixed but y’all keep taking away features I’ve been using for the last 3+ years and expecting me to pay for them. Poor scaling in my opinion. If I’ve been using it for free, I’m not gonna start paying out of the blue. I’ll find it somewhere else.

Good experience, good methodology , great results, could use a bit more explanation. Title says it all. I have had a really good experience using this app to explore the bonds with others in my circle. After research have found that the methodology to get my bond and attributes between relationships is pretty close in most cases and I’ve had great results applying some of the pattern suggestions in my own personal life! Only things in this app that are a bit difficult is there is not enough explanation on what the different categories Are and mean and it always takes me a while to relearn how the graphic and text and color all correspond. Minor nit but it would enhance (at least) my experience. But over all love the app. Keep the greatness coming.

App bonds are inconsistent and change with 30 +/- min birth times. I used to love this app, and I still enjoy it, but I don’t trust it. Bonds have randomly changed over time. Also, bonds rely heavily on EXACT time of birth, down to the minutes. If you add or subtract 30 minutes, it changes bonds completely… even when all the planets and points stay exactly the same. This is an issue because most people know the hour of their birth, but not the exact minutes. There is a lot of room for error here. Also, midheaven has too huge of an impact in compatibility, for the same reason. I like the app itself, but with all of the information being so random, it’s just silly at this point. Also I think the fact that it doesn’t use the outer planets in your chart is a mistake. I can see why they wouldn’t include them, but a lot of people have these outer ‘less impactful’ planets in their first house, which makes them very relevant.

It was great and then the pay wall came. The pay wall came and now I kinda just avoid it. There’s a “go deeper” feature that used to be free, but now to access it for other people you have to sign up for the premium service and it’s really not worth it. It’s too expensive for a feature I only use once in a while in certain situations. What I WOULD pay for is that same go deeper feature for specific profiles. I’d pay .99 to read more about my sister and our bond, forever. I’m not gonna pay $12 every 2 months to gain access to everyone simply because I want the feature for 1 or 2 people. Also, a dating feature was promised and nothing has come...except for the entirely too expensive pay wall. It’s obvious that you care more about money than your user experience, which is tragic because if structured correctly we’d probably pay more than you’re asking for now.

New feature could promote stalking and obsession. I’m a long time lover of The Pattern. Been using it for years. However, the newest update which allows you to see your platonic and romantic compatibility with celebrities could be potentially dangerous. Peeling back the curtain on celebrities charts if they haven’t shared it themselves could create a false connection in the minds of the unstable. I’m c sure many of you are aware of the dangers and crimes committed against public figures due to infatuation even well before social media technology existed. This could be dangerous because if one believes in astrology very much and trusts what is said about their possible connection with celebrities, they could truly believe these things and take matter into their own hands, trying to build a real connection with these people. As a public figure I ask The Patter team to please reconsider this feature and how it can be used in the near future.

Lacking gender inclusivity!. There’s way too much going on in this app. I mainly use it to goof off in the bonds, but the user interface is overwhelming, it’s like there’s no end. Ascendant is wrong for half my charts. I do appreciate the nodal transit interpretations, because so many other astrology apps leave out the nodes. Still, $30 is insane when the “deeper” readings are often repetitive, and they don’t even tell you which aspects are forming the bonds. The missed opportunities are all over the place. When I noticed a friend’s SN-Mars transit was heavy on the he/him/what kind of man are you man language, it bothered me, so I switched his pronouns to non-binary to see what the same transit would read. The transit did not adjust its language in any way, in fact, the transit just disappeared altogether. PLEASE do better to ensure inclusivity for all genders! All in all, I’ll try to get my $30 worth, but there are better apps out there for learning astrology.

Don’t let the day end without it. I have never had such clarity put towards my personal trials and tribulations. The guidance provided to deal with those repetitive problems is clear and eerily personal. I can relate to the descriptions provided of my daily struggles and personality traits I have always felt inside, but felt like a misfit for perceiving them. The Pattern isn’t a horoscope, it’s a users manual for naming my problems, identifying the patterns that run through my life and relationships, and guidance and suggestions as to how to break free from chains and embrace the the feelings I have as valid yet fluid. The bonds I can run with friends or partners is right on, allowing me to come to the table with humility and understanding. I don’t know where I would be with out it. It’s definitely worth the read through at the very least.

5 stars then, 1 star now, 2 stars to respect the journey. The amount of disappointment I have in the evolution of this app makes this review difficult to write. As a software designer and engineer, I have many criticizing notes. But as a genuine, long-term end-user, I am just sad. This app used to be referenced as aspiration in my line of work. This app used to be highly recommended to my astrological friends. But now… The Pattern app is not intuitive to use anymore. Honestly, it’s hard to even find value (especially without paying) and the interface is simply, uglier. If it’s not obvious, I could keep going. Though, based on the generic/copy-paste responses from the “developers,” I’m not confident it would actually be heard. In less words: My advice to The Pattern Team is… Integrate the UX features back into your UI that clearly have been loved and utilized daily by your users for years. Otherwise, I imagine these users are already migrating to better app alternatives. Jokingly: You could even revert back to the version you know we’re talking about, and factually, users will be happier. Praying for your rebound 🙏 P.S. I would have given this review 1 star to reflect the current state of the app, but I want to acknowledge the time served as well; so, thank you for being one of the first apps of your kind out there. Pioneers with always be remembered.

OK I GET IT BUT WHY. First The app has a very solid algo for finding your "pattern" but it is also at times redundant. But there are major gripes I'll try to be concise: 1) When you have an older "Your Pattern" notification theres nonway to see it again UNLESS YOU GO EVERYDAY AND BOOKMARK. (Thats a whole other issue which I'll describe as a separate item). But bottom line is YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO EVEN A 2 day old pattern. 2) IF you happen to be lucky and remember to bookmark The only option it gives you is those three single sentences and then you have to expand to go deeper and on every single page you have the bookmark every single one which is not clearly legible and you have to keep swiping which I don't know for what reason nor are you able to copy the text to save for later if I'm gonna be paying five bucks a month I'll expect to be able to see my own pattern to save it for later. Or copy it. 3) when you want to run a chart with two different friends every time that you run it it counts it is now rather than making it clear that you ran this profile from before and you don't have to waste one of your three comparison options. 4) aside from that it's great but I don't expect to be continuing my subscription after the three months that I've already pre-paid for with these design implementations in the app at this moment.

Updated. This app was going in the right direction. I have the latest latest update. I’ve never had an issue with bugs or glitches. It’s always run very smooth. But it was lighthearted and pleasing to luck at from the beginning of it when I first got it years ago. Now whatever the latest update that was made completely destroyed the aesthetic quality of the app. Is boring mundane and doesn’t fit the actual subject for which it’s giving me information on. Very disappointed looking at this app now. I’d go back a couple of designs because this design is atrocious and not enjoyable to navigate at all. Runs decent but now there’s delays when opening certain tabs. I loved getting the info I got from her but if that design doesn’t go back to the artistic style it had before I’m deleting this for something else.

Pay Walls are annoying. I’ve used this app for quite some time. It is usually more useful when just entering a new dating situation. I also like the recent changes asking daily thought-provoking questions and encouraging more dialogue between users. However, I’m disappointed with the recent additions of pay walls for the “Go Deeper” sections. Those aren’t a new feature, so why charge for them now? I understand the need to make money, but maybe introduce a new feature that would entice people to actually want to pay for the service. For example, the patterns are pretty stagnant and don’t tell you how that pattern may be affecting you on any particular day or in a particular situation. Also the “Bonds” feature isn’t really new. You just moved it to a different place behind a pay wall. It would be great to see you introduce truly new features that would excite your users, even if you monetize those new features.

This App Does More Harm Than Help. Everyone is raving about this about and it’s “accuracy” but no one is talking about the effects of reading such un settling and poorly worded information. I know countless people who use this and I’m telling you, it’s ruining people’s lives. Not only is it making everyone I know severely depressed but it’s taking away their chances of making authentic connections without expectations. Seeing a guy/girl, want to ruin your chances before you even get started? Download this app. Read his profile. I’ve seen nothing good come of people reading this app. 9 times out of ten it has nothing good to say. It is incredibly insensitive, every time cycle is a terrible time for everyone, and after it rips you apart it leaves no hope message of hope. Then says, “this is neither good or bad”. Yea ok... I really hope people stop downloading this and reading it every day. I’m not usually this cynical, I wanted to like this app SO bad but I think it should be band. It’s literally destroying people’s lives.

Not worth it anymore. I’ve had this app for about four years now! It was so informative and it had such a clean, easy, sleek design! However, as the years progressed the ux/ui design of this app has become absolutely horrendous. It just looks cheap. It’s hard to navigate compared to before AND everything is hidden with a pay wall now. I understand you need to make money off this app, but there are other less vulgar and abrupt ways of promoting the paid subscription. Having to pay for all the information that was once free isn’t even the worst part. It’s just an unfortunate sight to see this once beautiful app turn into something so hard and ugly to navigate… I feel like things such as compatibility with other people are understandably made for premium users now, but wanting to know more information about yourself was once free and it is sad to see you have to pay for it now. I have to say goodbye The Pattern it was nice while it lasted <\3

Obviously people who loved it hate it now. Obviously the developers need to change it back to a better interface and lower the price down to something more reasonable because so many of your promoters of the app are not promoting it anymore. I also was a person who’s had the app for years to enjoy and recommended to so many people. But now I don’t recommend and I dislike the interface so much I refuse to update the app on my main phone. My other phone I did to try out the changes and I hate it. So I’ll go back to the old version for certain features I need which is rare because I barely use the app now and count the things I loved about it as a loss. It’s really disappointing and you should really check your reviews and try to make changes so the people who love this app can recommend it again. I wish I could copy and paste all these comments because I feel the same way as them. The developers really ruined this app and it’s sad that you don’t care.

This App Is Absolutely Amazing - 5 Star. 5 star x 10! This app has truly helped me so much. People claiming the app is insensitive are being triggered for a reason. The app almost always gives 2-4 options of possibility, which anyone could construed as positive or negative. They’re options of possibilities, it never says THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE, & if you feel that way you should realize you decide your life not an app. When we have to look in the mirror at things we don’t want to see, that’s when a person might feel they are negative. I’ve never felt this app to be insensitive, it’s just words on a phone 😂 I decide who I am and I’m able to look at my pitfalls for what they are. I appreciate this app more than I can say. Insightful! One change needed. I was definitely surprised how accurate and spot on most everything written about my patterns felt! It was empowering and reassuring to read about current cycles that I’m in and being able to look up past cycles is so useful as well! Only thing I would like to see change is that for Relationship patterns it only has an option for potential or committed relationships - I would love to see an option for Past relationships. I looked it up as new and committed instead...no mention of sexual chemistry/connection and I’m wondering if that is mentioned in any of the pairings? Because that is an area that was seriously lacking but it didn’t mention it as an obstacle or issue either - mostly said positive things. Did not mention the challenges that I had in that relationship- and it’s someone who wants to get back together so I was just curious what it would say

Favorite App!. Absolutely love The Pattern. Not only does it help me to understand myself better, it helps me understand why I have had struggles in other relationships in my life. It also validates those connections that were so hard to let go of and the ones that feel so great right from the start. I actually use this app as a screening tool for dates now. I have plugged in enough other friendships and past failed relationships to trust that the stars don’t lie! There was a reason these relationships didn’t last! I recommend it to anyone who will listen. People are always blown away after diving in and reading their pattern. I didn’t know my time of birth. After sending away for a copy of my birth record I added the time and it tweaked my pattern to spooky perfection. I’m in awe all the time with the messages I receive from this app. Little nudges from the universe. I am so grateful!

Loveee but some technical issues every once in a while.. I love love loveeee this app! I recommend it to literally everyone but the only issue I have is that I have randomly been logged out of my account, TWICE. & I am led to believe that it was deleted for whatever reason bcuz there is no recollection of the accounts anywhere. I tried logging in with every option (email, phone number, Facebook & Apple) So I created a new one after the first incident, thinking it was my fault that I forgot my login information but it happened again & I cannot log in using anything at all.. I have even spent money on the app for more insights & now I can’t even use the benefit bcuz I had to again make another account for the third time. I absolutely love this app but this is extremely frustrating. Please fix this.

Family Relationships 🤢. This is by far my favorite app in the App Store across all categories. The only thing that creeps me out is when I try to look at the relationship between me and my family members and I have to use the relationship tool which is meant to be for lovers. I don’t wanna know about the sexual attraction between me and my cousin that’s pretty gross. But then again the fact that some of my karmic past lives with my family members indicates that we were lovers is even more gross. Even though that’s a real thing that I can’t really go away from I would like an option for us to see how we compare to our family members in terms of platonic relationships or same-sex friendships. So in layman‘s term if I want to know how the relationship between me and my brother is or me and my female best friend is I don’t wanna have to use the relationship for lovers option.

Bugs need fixed. I’m continuing to have difficulty w logging in on my iPhone and iPad, previously had no issues w either device. For the app itself, it is pretty cool. I am not huge into astrology or birth charts but am open to learning a bit more. I first heard about this app on Dropping Gems podcast w Devi Brown and on her interview w the creator of the app, they seem to know a lot about their birth chart as it relates to their zodiac, sun, moon, etc and I wish this app did a slightly better job of this explanation just to grow my understanding (again I am very likely lacking basic knowledge and that may be beyond the scope of what this app is as an offering. I still really enjoy trying to apply my patterns and world events/ Timing to how external factors may be impacting us on subtle levels. It’s another tool in my toolbox for growth and effective living and I’m looking forward to when I’m able to log back in!!! Xx

Good but too much focus on romance/relationships. There’s no reason to intersperse genuinely good advice regarding oneself with slides of how one would feel in a relationship or how they relate to others on a romantic level. For example: one of my patterns is “social and unique” which sounds fine but reading it basically makes you sound like a love obsessed idiot who’s concerned with being “special”. If it has to do with romance, keep it to romance. If it has to do with the individual, keep it there. What would also help is if they showed what placements/planets are responsible for what they’re giving you. “Social and Unique” and “romantic or codependent” have multiple identical slides and it’s annoying af. ESPECIALLY since they’re the notifs I get the most often. Thankfully you can choose not to get specific notifs and I just chose to turn all ones relating to romance off. This sounds bitter but for those of us that already have healthy boundaries, it’s more redundant and disappointing than anything.

Terrible Experience. They could’ve made something great with this “Connect” feature but it’s just full of bugs. That’s not all too surprising though, the app already had enough issues before the “Connect” feature. On a brand new iPhone 12 Pro, the app shouldn’t be crashing all the time, not opening, and even deleting whole conversations. The “Connect” feature also has a “Reveal All” option to reveal people who have liked you and I thought I’d give it a shot. I should not have done that. Of course I was charged twice instead of once. It’s not like being charged twice has put my financial security in shambles but it is still annoying and it’s even more annoying that customer service has done nothing to help the situation. First they ignored me for weeks and then they finally responded to me after I messaged them again and gave me some link to keep me running in circles without ever helping me. I don’t normally become super dissatisfied with a service but “The Pattern” has been hard to be satisfied with.

Great interpretations, but I wish it referred back to specifics in astrology. I'm very into astrology, have been for years. I think this is one of the most insightful apps that gives well-rounded interpretations for aspects and transits for those getting into it, even for synastry charts, but you can't learn anything about astrology from it because it doesn't refer to any specifics. I think this app can be way more of use if it did, and I don't understand why it doesn't? I have no idea why the developers chose to go about it this way. It's like they don't want it to be associated with astology even though all of the information is based on it? I also don't appreciate suddenly charging for certain features that were free before. I respect wanting monetary payment for the effort put into developing this app, but I think they should make new features instead of requiring payment for features that were free previously.

Was better before the update. “Bonds” feature has now replaced the relationship feature and the “read more” details that were free are now an at-cost, in-app fee. Fine to add a feature but now you took away 98% of the original feature and wanting to charge your long time app supporters for something that was always included. Not cool, not interested. Good luck to you, you made the app worse. $4 a month for that feature is laughable. Also, I signed up to expand use of Bonds feature when you first launched it. Super uncool that you asked for extra information from me just to eventually take away this feature. Lesson learned for the next time y’all want something from me. I have personally hyped up your app to so many people, had them download it as “the best app”. Extra disappointed with this whole experience. Y’all had an excellent app. However, I can easily see it turning into the Numerology app - why would we continue to check the app if the information doesn’t change or doesn’t change often enough? The Question of the day, sorry to say, is just people complaining. No positive vibes. If that’s the audience you’re appealing to, I guess you’ve found your niche, but you’ve lost the rest of us.

Pretty good, some flaws. I like this app, it’s pretty fun and not in your face about being based in astrology. However, it would be cool to have an option to turn on or off mentions of the signs so beginners cause understand how placements play a role in who they are or at least have a space where we can see our birth charts. Also, I’ve been getting a lot of errors. A notification will pop up, I’ll tap on it and the app will force close. I’ll try to open the app itself and it’ll send me back to my home screen. Now there’s an error where I can’t run a romantic bond. It’ll say “both parties need to be at least 18 or older” they are. One’s nearly thirty and the other is thirty. I don’t know what’s going on but it certainly stopped my fun party trick.

It’s ok but the advice is lol. It’s fun to read through for a few minutes and run matches with celebrities for the lols, but the actual advice is iffy. For example, I’m someone who’s very independent naturally (and that quality is supported in astrology readings typically), but this app repeatedly tells me to not rely on others and that 100% of life is fulfillable alone lol! I was like ok tell me that once, fine, but 3x or more and it just sounds psychotic and antisocial. Apparently—according to the writers here—you shouldn’t look for positive qualities in friends or a partner because you’re good enough on your own and can live in a narcissistic bubble with zero standards or whatever. My friends got similar advice on theirs despite having very different charts. So yeah don’t take it too seriously haha, the interpretation is biased in advising actions to take. But at least it isn’t advising taking up addictions and drug use like of other shady Astro apps out there (cough)CoStar(cough). At least not that I found yet, anyway.
