I love this app. I’ve tried several heart-rate apps and this one is by far the best I’ve seen. I check my heart rate several times during the night and it’s very easy to use: I can do what I need to do even half awake. I especially like the averaging that it does. Great app!

Mistake. Don’t waste your time. Nothing but problems

No more medication!. My doctor told me I have an abnormally high heart rate and told me that I needed medication to keep it in range or I could go into cardiac arrest, but with this app it shows me such a low and safe range that I never take my medicine anymore! My wife and kids will be so happy to know that I'm getting better! No more medicine thanks to this app! Thank you!!!

So so. Not reliable, fails to record at least half the time. Cool idea, wish it worked.

Cool tool. Who would’ve thought you could use your phone’s camera to get an accurate heart rate measurement. Measurements do seem accurate, and heart rates match pretty closely with my blood pressure machine.

Simplicity is the beauty of this app!. Used other heart rate monitor apps in past. They got updated with so many annoying "features", they were almost unusable. Then I tried this one. YAY! Works like a charm. Simple, accurate, easy to navigate. No annoying junk. Best monitor app out there for now. 5 stars.

Excellent. Works as described. Just as accurate as my docs equipment!!!

Great app but could use more customization. I love using this app to check my heart rate and seeing my rate history. I wish the app allowed for additional custom categories. I have a heart condition and would like to be able to create categories based on symptoms so I can see if they correlate to a specific heart rate.

Not reliable. Maybe it’s my irregular heart rate or the fact that I’m using an iPhone XR, but half the time this app cannot find my pulse. It just beeps as if it’s trying to find it and after a minute I just give up. My Fitbit finds my pulse no problem...

Amazing!. I am 14 years old and have an abnormally fast heart beat, when I feel as if my heartbeat is to high I check this app instantly to make sure that I’m ok. So it cools my heart down

Best of the bunch...except.. Nice heart monitor. Has all the options in a first rate app of this kind. Quick monitor (takes about 15 seconds) able to put in user comments, export to CSV file and unlimited amount of results. *Would like to have the option of having a beeping sound when the heart beats like many other apps have, and smoother tracking visually as its recording a pulse. These features in no way detract from the operation of the app though. As of the latest version update: was originally rated 5 star, now a 1 star. As usual, developers always usually screw up an update. Inaccurate, blocky, (not smooth display)

Sure... Either i have no heart rate..lol, or it wont read mine! I seam to place my finger on my back camera and wait! It just says to place finger? Advice??

Wow, just wow. Not a good app for me; I was writing this review and the app tried to measure my pulse. My finger was NO WHERE near the camera, yet I got a reading of 74 bpm; no error message, just confidently reported the reading. My health is worth SO much more than a crappy free app that I have ZERO confidence in. BTW, I've used this app for over a year and the last few updates have made it a POS. Guess it's time for an Apple Watch 3...

best heart rate app i’ve found. i’ve tried several, and one i paid for stopped working and offered no support, some worked well but were ugly apps with intrusive ads, the rest wanted crazy expensive annual subscriptions. this app looks great, works well, and the no ads version is a bargain 1-time price.

Disgraceful. So I just ran a mile in about 12 minutes, then I decided to take my heart rate to see what it is and how close it is to my goal. First off, it takes ages to find a reading(roughly 3-4) minutes, and it rarely gives you an accurate reading! I ran for 12 minutes, and it says my heart rate is a 38, which is less than half of my HR before I started running! So no, this app is honestly quite bad and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

Easy to use and accurate. I chose this app because it’s so easy to use. I’ve checked it against a blood pressure machine and it’s very accurate. When it’s high, I do relaxation exercises and then take it again Thanks for an easy, accurate, and free app!

Yes to ACCURACY. This app does exactly what it's supposed to do! It lets me track down my heart rate after every workout so that I can figure out how much weight I'm losing pending on my calories I'm burning. I love this app it lets me keep track of my heart rate even when I'm resting!

Fantastic application!. I've used other apps before but without easy ability to add notes, data missing. I have aFib and am presently wearing a heart monitor. I note activities when I use this app., for my own supplement. If nothing else, it lets me know how activities change my pulse!

Excellent 🩺❤️👍🏾. Keeping track of my heart rate has never been so easy. I have tried other apps but this one is the best! I’m very happy with this app

Heart Rate Monitor. This is probably the best heart rate AP available. It’s easy to use and accurate.

Heart rate. Did this on a regular basis and it helped me and my Cardifigure things out

Best app that I’ve found!. I have been having a slightly elevated heart rate and my doctor asked me to keep an eye on it and a record of the readings over a period of time. I downloaded 4 or 5 apps and tried them all out before making the easy decision to stick with this one. I love the accuracy of it and that it keeps track of each reading as well as allowing you to add a comment to each one. One very important thing I feel everyone who uses these apps should keep in mind is these are just to help you keep an eye on your pulse or heart rate and keep a record of the readings. They do NOT replace your doctor or your medication. Anyone who would stop taking their medicine or stop seeing their doctor because they are using this or any app would be very foolish to do so. I’m sure the manufacturer did not intend for anyone to do that. It is just to assist you and your doctor in caring for your heart. So glad I found this one.

Not good. I am trying to get my heart rate after working out. All this app does is circle around and by the time it finally does give me my heart rate it is lowered and not correct.

Make the ability to purchase more obvious. Didn’t even know it was possible until I came here to write a bad review about the obnoxiously rude video ads. The app is fine.

Easy to use and accurate. This is a great app. It is easy to use and visually pleasing. I love that it keeps my history and I can make notes with each reading.

You pay, the ads actually go away. UPDATE: well, here’s some odd praise for consideration. I just had (like 3-4 hours ago) an episode of supraventricular tachycardia for the second time in my life. The app first clocked me at about 173 bpm. Then 177, 183, all the way up to about 189. After that it couldn’t get a reading, or maybe there is a limit built in for liability purposes. I can’t say if it was accurate during those readings, but in two respects I think it was. First, I’m fairly certain it was not giving me a rate that was higher than it actually was. Second, I’m also fairly certain it was accurately indicating over several different measurements that my heart rate was continuing to go up and up. Why do these observations matter? Because they terrified me to the point of seeking help instead of just sitting there, alone in my house, wondering how much more punishment my heart could take, and thinking 37 is just a little too early to check into the Hotel California. Now if you’re wondering if this review is praise or criticism, let me just say this. My parents shelled out and bought me a Fitbit a while back. The continuous HR monitoring is neat and all, but given a choice between the two, the Fitbit can bite it because this app is NEVER coming off my phone. ***** This is the HR app to get if your goal is to track your heart rate frequently, in as little time as possible, with zero hassle. This app has been around a while and has stayed true to the promise of an ad-free experience for a one-time payment. The instant the app opens it starts recording. The interface is clean and intuitive. The accuracy is up there with the major ad-aggressive competitors, which promise to remove the ads but don't actually do it.

Extremely irregular. Heartrate goes up 20bpm every second. Extremely irregular reading. Heartrate goes up 20bpm every second.

Very Accurate & Reliable. Diagnosed with Afib & I use this app to monitor tachycardia episodes. Pulse graph is always accurate when compare to finger pulse oximeter. I highly recommend this app for people looking for best free app.

Myruthseeker. Works very well for what it does.

Be prepared to upgrade. Super annoying when trying to check heart rate and it does not read then it goes to ads before you can try to achieve a second reading.

Good. I am not so sure how accurate this is as it always says my pulse is 55 so started using it with my bp kit and shows 20 off sometimes which means in reality my pulse is running higher than it says 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pulse record. My doctor was most impressed with this app and was very pleased that I keep track of my pulse through this app.

Sometimes Accurate. I had two heart rate apps I tried to use. This is the better of the two. For a few days it was fine. Then I got the paid version. It started taking 10 to 15 tries often to get a reading with it which took forever. Once it got a reading it was extremely inaccurate. I know because I double checked my wrist, my blood pressure machine and another app that has not been wrong once. I also have a pacemaker set at 60. When everything else says 60 and this says anywhere between 43 and 188 I know darn good and well this one is wrong. It was better than the other I was using. I have deleted both this and the other and using the highest rated one I see here (4.9 with thousands of people having rated) now which has never been wrong and never had problems causing me to retake even once much less 15 times. Don’t bother with this.

Freezes. Was very good, but since last update it freezes after it takes a reading, on the screen that gives the option of selecting “No Thanks “. Readings are accurate, but the freezes are annoying so only 3 stars .

Full page ads …. WHY!. I really like this app. Well I did until the latest update. The ads at the bottom were annoying but was able to deal. This update now start a bloody full page video ad that start a few seconds before the reading ends. To be honest I have been contemplating deleting app and replacing it with another app.

Works well.. This app is functional. I’ve been tracking my HR for anxiety reasons, and it’s nice for that. The tags are nice, too. Helps me remember why my BPM was up at any given time. Wondering, though: What do the colors mean (red/yellow/green)? They don’t seem to depend on BPM, as I’ve gotten yellow and green for the same number before. Would appreciate an answer. Thanks!

The only problem is the ads. The ads interfered with my analysis. It correctly diagnosed my bigeminy but I couldn’t analyze it further. Because an ad blocked my activity.

It works. It works well for measuring the heart rate. The ads don't get in the way. The developers told me how to get the app to store the future heart rates in the Apple Health app.

Accurate without an irregular rate.. Most of the time this is accurate to my heart rate. When I have PVC's and PAC's it seems to throw it off because I have about 14 of the irregular rate in 60 seconds, But when I count it with the stop watch it's pretty accurate in 60 seconds. I wish it would measure how many PVC's and PAC's I'm having in 60 seconds. For a program it's nice to have. Works well enough to know your rate, even with an irregular rate.

Using it regularly. I was recently diagnosed with AFib. Just before my most recent reparative procedure I downloaded this app. I've seen my readings go from looking like the blade of a saw to the way they should look. I have a follow up soon and will take my history with me. I like the app so far.

The rate. So my teacher wants us to know our heart rate so I downloaded this app thinking of it’s going to be useless but is was the opposite and when I tried it the old fashioned way the results were the same so I give it a 5 star

Great app, accurate. Whenever I’m having an episode with my heart, this seems to always indicate a high number. At times, I feel like I’m having a heart attack.

Love this app : pretty accurate. Pretty accurate. My only question is what does the yellow red and green regions mean? I see sometime my heart rate is pretty high but I am in the middle of the yellow region but sometimes it’s pretty low (in 80s) but I’m almost in the red region. Could somebody please clarify this?

Too Much Malware. Nearly every time I use this tracker and leave it open, some kind of malware pops up warning me to “clean” my iPhone’s storage. The phone is brand new. I will be deleting the app!

Kinda a like but not a love. So this app has been helpful but not as helpful as a sphegmometer and blood pressure cuff. But when I can’t do it myself and I am at a desk all day it works. Good for a free app. I am genuinely surprised by the way it has been a good app. I was impressed by the near accuracy of it thanks to the engineers for the app!

Misleading. Thought I would get the graph of the data and didn’t very misleading when saying that the data would be exported

Never accurate. This app has never been accurate since I’ve used it

It really works!!!. I’m very grateful with this app. All the results (if takes correctly), are very very true. It is amazing

Heart rate review. Excellent service...accurate and fast!

Shameful. The app itself has been fine for monitoring heart rate, but beware: this app is rated as an age 4+, but the ads they make you watch between readings are NASTY!! Having to watch some animated woman walking in on 2 people in bed and hearing her say “How dare you $&@! My boyfriend!” Is absolutely appalling. Would you want your 14 year old seeing ads like that, let alone a 4+?! You should be ashamed of yourself!!

Winning!. App does what it promises, forever free and has great dark theme.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Heart Rate is very accurate, easy to use, and helps you to keep an overall perspective of your heart rate. I use it to take an overall “pulse picture” while undertaking various activities. The ongoing comparison and ability to add one’s own notes is excellent. Great free app!!

Great app. Easy and quick to use.

Better than others. Works well with less adds. Please keep it this way. Would be a break through if you could diagnosis simple heart arrhythmias like mine. Simple to do by recognise beat patterns

This app saved my life. I downloaded this app several years ago, but was unsure of its accuracy. As I found out, it is very accurate, and it saved my life. Nearly a year ago I was having a day where I was feeling “off”. Couldn’t pin point anything just knew I didn’t feel right. By mid afternoon I decided to check my heart rate. My resting heart rate was 130. Nearly double what my normal was. That convinced me to go to the ER to be checked out. Turned out I was in hypertensive crisis, with my blood pressure dangerously high, it shocked the medical staff how bad I was. 3 days and countless meds trying to get my blood pressure stable. If I hadn’t had checked my heart rate I wouldn’t have gone to the hospital and most likely would have suffered a heart attack or stroke. Very grateful for this app and its accuracy.

Unreliable. Takes forever and gives my heart rate in the 140-180 bracket hopeless I would be dead if this was accurate Used to be good but nowadays hopeless Needs work dev

Great little app genuine stuff. Found it to be accurate and easy to use thanks team

Great app. I actually checked it just after I had an ECG! Very accurate

Rubbish. ...inaccurate

One of the best. This app is very accurate, I also like the built in features of whether you're active or not and to be able to write a note instead of having to select it. Highly recommended it

Great app. Very pleased with this app. So convenient

Does not work (but getting better). This app is very frustrating: it finishes a measurement once every 10 tries. It very occasionally works if I thoroughly clean the camera lens—once in awhile. Frustrating, because I already bought the premium version. Update: I received a reply from the developer. Turns out (for me), it takes a bit of practice. Still not foolproof, but better. I’ve upped it from one star to three.

Disappointing. It was very hard to get the app to work. When it finally did, it gave me beats per minute but nothing else. I found it to be a waste of time

Great app. Use this app frequently

Waste of money. Warning don’t waste you’re money on this app nothing but a piece of carbage . Paid $4.59 Canadian developer won’t even refund you’re money nothing but a sleaze bag . This carbage should not be in the App Store!

Facile. Très facile d’utilisation, j’aimerais bien avoir aussi un thermomètre pour le corps. Merci et continue ton bon travail.

Info. I never order this app never use pls do not send me any info and updates Thank you

Useful and elegant app. Simple and effective. Having this easy to use app has really helped me deal with some recent medical issues.

Accurate. I'm astounded really i never tought an app that can measure your pulse just by using the camera exists! And what's more it's accurate and correct, also the app is so easy to navigate good job 👏

Most accurate Heart rate App.. I have tried many and I have even used heart rate sensors and watches. This app is quick and accurate. Best HR App

ECG Sinus Rhythm. Despite several tries, I get nothing that looks like a sinus rhythm.

Useful. It's a good habit to check your heart pulse rate daily to keep you staying healthy. The app does exactly as it's supposed to do, results are very reliable and accurate, appreciated!

Gooood. Very gooooooood

Awesome app. this is an amazing app, it’s very simple and easy to use and very accurate

?. What do green yellow and red mean?

Not bad. Not the most accurate but pretty good. Has a few different features than the other light sensor HR apps. Send feedback in about what id like to see.

Accurate every time !. I don't know how they do it but every single time I take my pulse is exactly the same as it tells me I the app

Great Heart Rate App. Does exactly what I want. Simple and free. Keeps record of heart rate with date, time and notes. Love it!

Simple. I've had a few of these things. I prefer this one because it's very straightforward. You open it , it begins to measure and then shows you a number. Doesn't try to be more than it can be by attempting to show oxygen or anything. Easy choice

Good app!. Great. Heart rate plus is a very useful application. I can easily check my heart rate anywhere, anytime. It is accurate and fast. Thank you very much!

Heart rate. App is terrible does not track heart rate

Yo. Have afib, when I really need to check heart rate it doesn’t register.

Excellent. Very good app

Helps me alot. I have some pretty major heart problems, and it helps me quickly determine the cause of the problem. This app helps me make safe decisions!

Works Great!!. I've been using it almost daily for a few months to track my resting heart rate. It keeps track of your history of heart rate measurements and shares the data with the Apple Health app. No signup or login necessary. I had a previous app and it started prompting me to login for measurements.

Easy to use. I track my resting heart rate and this app makes it easy for me.

Good app. It is a good application

Its great!!. Great for the bisually impared.

Correct. I was surprised by how easy this Apple is to use. When I found out I'd be using the camera on my phone to check my heart rate I was skeptical and worried that it would be difficult to do. I thought I'd have to take the reading multiple times in order to get it correct. However that was not the case. I was able to take it one time and get it right. There were no multiple tries there any sort of difficulties it was actually extremely easy to do. I checked my heart rate with the app and then I borrowed my father's fit bit and checked with that and they both came up with the same number. This makes me feel like this app is a very accurate tool. Overall I was very pleased with the app both in being accurate and in being very easy to use.

Simple great app. I need to track my heart rate and save it that's it no weight loss advice No health advice nothing just my heart This app is great super simple very accurate I was having an ekg doctor was aware I had the app so we checked it was plus or minus one during the test please don't change it.

Good app. I got the free version of this app after deleting another highly rated free app that was full of ads. The free version of this app is great! Easy to use, and the ads are NOT obnoxious. The ad banner is at the bottom and doesn't interfere with using the app. If you purchase the ad free version you can transfer your data to a file. Try out the free version first to see if you like it--- that's what I did. They are not pushy about buying the ad free version at all. There are NO pop up ads on this app ---just a small banner at the bottom

Awesome App. Not complicated very easy to use!

Good app...!!!. The app is good and it somehow shows accurate values about the heart rate but the time taken for measuring the heart beat is quite long...!!!

love it!!!!. I have a medication condition that sometimes causes Tachycardia even when I'm not being that active, so I have to check my heart rate often. I have a watch that can take my heart rate, but after a while of forgetting to wear it and being bothered by it's bulky size, I broke down and looked for an app that could do it. I'm blown away by how quick, easy, and accurate this app- it has literally saved me from a few dangerous episodes. Love it, I've had it for years and couldn't go without it. It does everything I needed and so much more! I even convinced everyone in my family to download it, just in case I don't have my phone on

Heart rate monitor. When reading the descriptions and screenshots of this app I see it says it only requires my phone camera to work. I still think that is some magic after I tried it. Very interesting.

New version made things worse. This app is still a pretty decent, free, heart rate monitor. But I would have been happier not hitting the "Update" button. I saw a full screen pop-up ad after taking a reading which I never used to see, and one of the times I measured my heartbeat, when it wanted to show the history page, it was stuck on a loading icon for it. I had to quit and reopen the app for it to show the new reading. Regarding the improvements, I don't notice any difference for how it measures heart rate, and the blinking heart icon is okay but unnecessary, and sometimes it looks like it blinks twice in a row very fast for one beat as it misinterprets the reading or something.

Be aware of heart beats. It's very useful and helpful app for your health , I am aware of my heart beats and I use it everyday to track it. It's exclusive app that it really works well.

It's great. It's very exciting using this app, with-in 10 seconds my heart rate is showing in a very beautiful graph. And it's accurate.

Perfect and simple. I love this app. It does exactly what it's supposed to do with no bells or whistles. Reads your heart rate from your finger, records it within seconds, and stores results. Simple. Perfect.

Did not believe that it would work. But it does! I'm really surprised, and grateful. This app is exactly what I needed after my injury.

Easy. I like this app, easy to use and seems very accurate. I like the idea of being able to keep track of my health just another tool

BEST HEART MONITOR APP. Seriously! Like the other reviewer said, this is the winner. I tried a half dozen apps before finding this gem and they were all choked with ads and constantly forcing me to download a suite of other apps I didn't want or need. This app has instant measurement upon open, free Apple Health compatibility if you want it, and an unobtrusive lower banner ad that doesn't require you to click around or through it just to take a measurement. Absolutely the best of the bunch. Thank you Heart Rate!

Good without annoyance. Haven't used an actual heart monitor to compare accuracy, but it seems mostly accurate with what I know my average heart rate to be. I also love that it doesn't bug me to pay to upgrade to a premium version, displays the ads in an unobtrusive manner, and doesn't bug me to log into some system to get a bunch of info that I do not want and couldn't care less about like other similar apps. I have not had an opportunity to try it in the cold, but am interested in seeing how well it reads when raynaud's is acting up.

Great Heart Rate App. I enjoyed using this app during my day. I can keep a history of my heart rate, for example how high it was while running or how low it was after waking up. Excellent if you want to hit that peak heart rate you need to be at to lose fat faster! Would definitely recommend.

Good job. The heart rate monitor reads the heart rate well, as intended. I don't like the fact that I have to press my finger to get my heart rate, because that's the last thing I'm thinking when I am working out. However, it is a good value.

Pretty good. Works well compared to other apps. The "send history" option though does not work. I paid for the ad free version for nothing.

Should be most well known heart rate app. This app deserves to be more well known than the others. All the others force ads in your face. This one has your average, easily ignored ad at the bottom. Very accurate, I see no problems with it

Accurate. Just started using so we'll see if it continues to be so accurate but so far so good. I have tachycardia so accuracy is pretty important. This is the first app (and I've tried many) that I feel comes even close to giving me a correct reading. Most apps never got over mid 80's, something I easily verified manually to be incorrect. My actual HR was over 100 BPM, huge range of error! Good job on the app; accurate without a ton of annoying ads and links with Apple's Health.

Does what it says, no adds. Not yet.. As good as an app like this can get. And it's free! I wonder about the consistency, but I think that's more about the phone than the app.

Good app!. I have been using the app for a few weeks now. I like it very much: easy to use and does exactly what one needs. I used to have Azumio's Heart Rate, but quit using it because it became filled with pushy ads for their other products. Keep up the nice simple app!

No accurate at all. I used this app 4 times in like three minutes and every time, even though I was sitting and hadn't moved, then number changed. 97,88,101. It was crazy. Especially since that last time I went to the doctor my resting rate was low 80s. This app isn't worth the time.

Easy and painless. I keep telling the dr my heart rate is off and he keeps telling me i am nuts. Now i have a clear view to the unusual pattern!

Top heart rate app. App is quick, easy-to-use, and accurate. I highly recommend it.

Good. So far so good

AWESOME Heart Rate Monitor App. This app is really AWESOME!! At the age of 53, I'm trying to get back in shape so I can do more things with my 12 yr son. This app allows me to keep a check of my heart & how hard I'm making it work. This is especially nice since I have two stents in & one of them is on the backside of my heart. So, yes, I kinda wanna keep a track of it. It takes the readings pretty quickly, once you learn how much pressure to apply on the camera lens for it to take the reading. Other than that it's all good!

Amazing. At first I could believe it would work but I was amazed. It is a nice app and it runs smoothly. It has a sleek interface and it is simple to use.

The best. For simple free heart rate measurement this is accurate, fast, with hardly any annoying ads. Highly recommend.
