Hello there, Mr. Number here! We've got some exciting changes for you in this version:
- We redesigned the app! It's now easier than ever to dive right in and look up a phone number. Try it, it's really fast and easy! From there, it's one tap to block, report as spam, save to your contacts, or call back.
- Copy a phone number from your Phone app? Just open Mr. Number and tap "Paste" to instantly find out who it is.
- Expecting a really important call? Turn off call blocking with the flip of a switch. It's perfect for those times where you really can't afford to miss a call. Turn it back on just as easily!
Also contains some bug fixes!
This has been a decent app for blocking or notifying of suspicious calls. However, the free version is no longer offered. The catch is that Mr Number wanted access to all of your contacts which it used to sell information to other people. With the recent change I expect to get more robocalls because I feel that Mr Number will feed that data to call lists it will sell to companies or the highest bidder. Mr Number, like the mafia want you to pay protection money but I doubt they do anything to stop the flow of your data or contact data. Don’t use them or their sibling or parent companies.
I used to really like this app. It blocked the majority of spam calls! However, after the latest update, they are now requiring a subscription. Not worth it to me.
It was free then they changed it. So now I don’t have it any more
I assume it is blocking millions of calls but I still get several robot spam calls a day offering to eliminate student loans I don’t have
I have used this app for years and it was free and wonderful. Then today I opened it to look up a number and it said it was subscription only. No notice was given or an apology or anything. It just says it’s subscription to use.
This was a great free app. WAS. I used to recommend it to all my friends and coworkers. Opened the app today and suddenly I’m required to pay for a monthly or annual subscription? And there’s no added-value beyond their previous version, as far as I can see. No thanks. I’ll just send my unknown calls to voicemail. That’s free.
It took a while for it to kick in, then it was pretty good. Then they took that good app and upgraded it into a disaster
Original version made more sense than this new one. When my commitment is over I will not be renewing this service
I’m not happy with the most recent update. I don’t like the new screen with limited information. iOS 12
Had the app about six months. Missed two thirds of the spam and while you are paying for it you end up doing most of their job by having to report most of the spam. As a paid app it’s not even useful anymore and I am deleting it since Verizon has their own app.
Calls are still getting through so what gives?
Calls are still getting thru I’m not happy
Blocks many spam and nuisance calls if not all
Awesome app But I would like to also block No Caller ID,S if that’s a possibility .
I have recently come across Mr Number which is great as we Seniors do not need to be contacted by “telemarketing” for whatever reason. Keep up the good work..
This does really work. It saved my friend when someone wanted her credit card details as they sent her a text message saying was from her bank. So we checked this number with this app. I highly recommend it. God bless you & thank you 😊
This app fails to stop any calls prefixed by (02) (Sydney) in Australia.
This app is great for numbers Australia wide! I haven’t had a pesky telemarketer call come through since installing this app! Now if i can find 1 for overseas!
I love the fact I can screen calls from telemarketers!
At last-a way to stop annoying bastards annoying me beyond distraction! Thank you lord! Thank you Jesus!!!!!! In short- THANK CHRIST! I rate this app behind only Google and Shazam in importance
Good product but I’m “forced” to purchase the product. Other, just as good products, give you a choice to continue using the free program or purchase an upgraded program. With this program, it’s not free anymore. Bad choice. I hope “all” users leave until you restore the free program!!!!
This app was pestering me with constant updates to “update the spam database” that it somehow couldn’t do on its backend, requiring you to constantly have the app open. Now they inform me that I must pay to continue using their mediocre service, no thank you!
Was great before but now the screen has changed a lot. I don’t like. Won’t renew my membership
Mr Number is a great concept and has obviously become popular and widespread. And although it works, it doesn’t work all the time. I’m not going to pay for something that doesn’t fix more than 50% of my problem. There has to be a higher success rate at blocking spam and there just isn’t. For it to move to a paid-only model seems ridiculous and I’m deleting the app.
Upgrade makes app even less appealing to users. App is already limited by it’s inability to automatically check and notify users as to the nature of their incoming calls - know spam or otherwise identified caller. User must manually manipulate caller number to cut and paste into this app. Now that must be done on a totally unfriendly user screen
Well I guess the ride was good while it lasted! It was a good app until I just opened recently and saw that now I need a paid subscription to keep using. Will be deleting and looking for a new app.
The app was great while it was free now it needs a subscription so I’m deleting
Essy to use and very effective!
I’ve been using the app for a few years. I’ve put a lot of work into blocking bogus numbers. Now you’re suddenly asking for a recurring fee. That’s fine except that’s not how we started. Guess what? I’m deleting your app now.
Was a great app while it was free, but I refuse to pay money to block robo callers who shouldn’t be calling in the first place! Deleting this app now that it requires a subscription to keep using.
