A must have app. This is one of my go to app, it’s a must have!!!

It’s a Digital Darkroom. If you’ve never used a view camera before, Analogue might seem a little difficult to use at first. I love the fact that the app emulates the look and feel of shooting on film. I also love that it slows down the process of making images. I wish there was a color option because I don’t always want to shoot in black and white.

Amazing B/W. Can’t believe this app exists. I am absolutely amazed by what I can achieve in this darkroom!

Coolest photography app I've used!. Taking and editing a single picture can take quite some time with this app, which helps you focus on the small details which quick snapshots night not pick up. The app is very in-depth with clear explanations of every feature, even with examples of the manual methods used to dodge and blur elements in a photograph. Color photos would be a nice plus but not very historically accurate. Overall a great experience, actually having to sit down and manually expose and focus every image makes you appreciate the skill needed to develop a quality final picture!

Functional and Educational. This is a great tool for learning about BW processing whilst making great images.

Great app. This is a wonderful way to relive old film photography. Of course you could create a much better film look in Photoshop, but the experience you get with this app, and the amount you can edit on a little mobile app is amazing.

Glorious. One of the best and B&W apps--so much fun to use.

Now, it’s top notch!. Revamped my rating because author fixed the issue. It’s really “the” go-to black and white camera app for iPhone, in my humble opinion. Really a pleasure to use! However, the small format viewfinder doesn't match up (to be able to view your subject correctly. This is on iPhone 6s Plus.) And, you're unable to (see) the shutter release button (Again in small format/iPhone 6s Plus.) So, you have to tap around until you find it. I contacted the author and had a brief discussion about it and told him it must be an iPhone 6s Plus issue, but never received a reply after that; nor has there been a fix for said issue. If there were fixes or even a reply showing concern with the issue, I would rate it higher.

Awesome. This is simply an amazing app. Far beyond most of the many I have tried. Simple and clean with extremely sophisticated results. The idea to model a darkroom in the digital realm is just plain lovely. Not to mention that when I messed up my app by not paying attention to the system requirements the developer graciously helped me get back up in short order.

Terrible. Impossible to use. I spent 15 minutes trying to access my camera roll and couldn’t figure out how to launch it. Maybe the app has good results but I’ll never know. Delete.

In the darkroom again!. If you ever used a view camera or dreamed of using a view camera you're in luck...almost. This app emulates the olden days of using film and making prints with an enlarger. Great fun without getting your hands dirty.

Terrible!!!!. The app would be awesome! Only if it worked. As of August 12 2019 the app has problems. The key functions DO NOT work at all. I can only see the test strips, cropping and sepia. The dodging and burning do not carry to the finished version. I spent the whole afternoon fighting with it, and now I am done and gone to another app. I will request the $2.99to see if I get it. Sorry - DO NOT Waste your time.

Brilliant. Makes you think. Good to have pre-4x5 shot and mess with photo in post before you have to do anything!

Nicely app. After every update, it keeps getting better and better.

Thumbs Up!. This unique black and white app offers an amazing and fun way to convert your images to pleasing monochromatic ones. Don't expect your editing workflow to be as fast as you use the other apps since this emulates the developing of negatives in a real darkroom. It gives you better control of how your image will turn out. I would also like to commend Marcus Carlsson for coming up with a tutorial that ordinary people like me who never used a darkroom would easily understand. This version addressed my request to include the images from my camera roll. Thank you Marcus! I hope in the next update, the masking would be better. I noticed that my swipes aren't as clean as I expect it to be when dodging or burning even if I use different stylus. Once it's addressed, I'll change my rating to five stars!

Lots If Fun!. Although the controls are touchy and take some getting used to, it really is a great app with wonderful controls! I shoot large format and it gives you a great experience into that kind of shooting. Really makes you slow down, compose and think about your final image. Well done!

Analogue. This is a fine little app for playing about with.

Even wanted to shoot like Ansel Adams? Now you can!. This is one of the more unique apps to come out in a long time. This app recreates the experience of shooting with an old style view camera and then developing your negative in a darkroom. If you have never used a view camera, it will take you a bit to get used to how the app works as the viewfinder is upside down. But once you get used to that, I think you will really enjoy it. Really like the darkroom tools, again they might take a bit to get used to. But there are great tutorials in the app to get you familiar with it. I love the addition of being able to use any image previously shot! Looking forward to more camera styles like twin lens, etc to be added!
