Doesn’t really lock. Because there is NO WAY to turn off the finger print recognition! Which means no matter how strong your password is for folder lock it’s only as strong as the 6 digit pin for your iPad / iPhone. I wish I had known this ahead of time I would have purchased a different app. Sure there is the plausible deniability with a fake pin but that would only work if there was a fake entry mode with a different finger print

Simple and flexible. I just wanted a simple way to take my files with me on-the-go in a secure manner. Using cloud technologies is not always the best thing to use, especially for "sensitive" data. This app solves the security concern by adding another layer of protection via password, pin, etc. Uploading your files to your iDevice from your PC/Mac is a snap, with a built-in web server functionality, that you can easily turn on and off with a switch. Once connected to your personal network,my ou simply connect to the web server via your PC web browser (also connected to the same network) and upload or download what you want from your iDevice very easily. Sharing your files between your multiple iDevices is just as easy. While you have to manually sync your files, doing so is a snap. For these reasons and more, I give this a 5.

Missing some key functions. Yes, it does store your data and allows for a alpha numerical password. Most app's limit you to only 4 numbers. Good job! Most data I have entered is via the "wallet". I found out that if you title the card incorrectly or need to change the name of the card you can not edit the title. You can edit the fields but not the name. You have to delete and start over. Need edit function here. My biggest issue, and the one that makes me start looking for a new tool is the decoy folder. I can not log into the decoy folder, only the primary folder. I was shocked when I logged into the primary folder and found not only my primary files but starring at me were the files from my hidden folders as well. Not cool! Access to the hidden files should be accessed via a different port or allow me to log into my hidden files via my hidden password. Primary and decoy files should be 100% separate from the phone AND the PC. Fix this issue and I would rate this application with 5*.

Poor UI, files not encrypted, can't download from PC. I'm a big fan of Folder Lock for Windows, which is the best file encryption software I've found. But this app, and the regular Advanced version, are very disappointing. The UI is confusing and non-intuitive, making it difficult to figure out how to do the simplest operations. I was able to transfer files from my iPad Air 2 to my Windows PC, but could not transfer files from the PC to the iPad -- even after trying every conceivable approach. Although the descriptions for both apps suggest they encrypt files with advanced algorithms, there's no indication they actually do anything more than use the iOS built-in hardware encryption. This is somewhat safe, but my understanding is that someone armed with the unlock password can break it. I have two other apps that layer real 256-bit encryption on files, providing far more security. I paid $3.99 to upgrade the Advanced version, expecting real encryption, but it didn't have it. Then I paid $3.99 for the Pro version, which appears to be identical!

Pros and cons. Pro : I just had to change iPhone. The data backup to the drop box worked very well.. Simply, quick, secure. Con: you can't pan or zoom in the video viewer. It should work the same as the native viewer.

Good. Sharing from the app could be made easier.. Guess it serves the purpose of storing files safely. But would need more options to share the files from the app to other apps within the device. And also need the ability to select multiple files to share / save images and videos to other apps. Looking forward for it.

Touch ID. Great app but I’m here just to say that you NEED to give us the option to either have Touch ID or not because let’s say someone has their fingerprint on your phone but you don’t want them to have access to the app then it doesn’t matter. They have it either way. Please give us this option.

Great app, works well!. iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14.3 - This app works very well and does everything that it advertises. I wanted an app that was easy to use and one that provided a little extra security for my documents and this app is it. Before I purchased this app I tried many other apps and none performed as well as this app. My thanks to the developer for an easy to use app that works well and is reasonably priced. Job well done!

Great app!. I really like this app, lets you keep your wallet and other sensitive files secure and I mean secure! I will definitely recommend this to everyone that has concerns about private files, the decoy function add a very usable feature that I hope not to use but is there in case is needed, keep the good products coming guys!

total waste. WiFi server refused to connect. No troubleshooting info that I could find on the developer website.

Bug. On the pro version, screen rotation does not work but on the free version it works.

Great app on Windows but so far failing the iOS world. I have the Windows version on my laptop and desktop it works perfectly but this iOS version keeps giving me troubles every time I relaunch it

Wasted money :(. Feel bad that I bought this App, cannot transferable from PC from Wifi Transfers! (Choose file and it’s stuck forever) And No iTunes transfer :( wasted money!

Odd. This seems no to be no different from the advanced app, not ok. Further, it is missing the app lock feature, the feature I was most interested in.

Formerly good, now no Upload from PC. I’ve used multiple versions of Folder Lock over the years and thought earlier versions were great for uploading and securing pc files. Now with latest version on iPhone X and Win10 the app will not upload any files. Tried multiple reinstalls,advanced & advanced pro versions but no success. Also, the app will connect over WiFi with my browsers, but does not recognize a backup PIN when prompted in the Chrome or Edge browsers. I had to resort to omitting touch/Face ID and use only a password to even get the app to open in a browser. Time to move on... (I was able to get the basic Folder Lock app to work appropriately, though ad-saturated. Took a gamble and paid for premium pack, app kept working & ads went away. Too bad I’d paid for the Pro version as well a year or so ago & it’s no good for me now.)

Worse. Can’t get into it. All I get is an error message it has quit working. Click on error message takes me back to the App Store.

Big shortcoming. ...in that only Dropbox cloud backup is supported. Why other cloud services are not available is a mystery. Basic Dropbox gives a miserly 2G and if you need any more at all then you have to pay $120 annually. This severely limits the utility of this app to a 2G effective max on data. Come, on, guys. You can do better than this.

Good if they fix it. After the latest update I can’t access the app, it crashes on the PIN screen. I’m using 5th gen iPad. MD

Does Not Work. Absolutely no way to transfer files from computer into folder lock. It says to type in an IP address into your computers browser, did that and nothing happens. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

It has potential. I tried the free version first, worked well, just what i was after. So i purchased pro, i am disappointed, when selecting a music file to move, it moves another file, if the music list is longer then your screen, you cannot select the last file to move it. The music auto recycle turns off when it likes while left playing, so you have to constantly turn it back on, the music files labels are hard to read due to being to large, and not being able to view which song is really which, the app looks great, its a great idea, bit it currently does not work correctly.. So i can't recommend it with so many faults that need fixing.. I have only really played around with the music side of it so far, but with the problems there you can only imagine what else might not work correctly in other areas of the app, don't waste your money on it till it's fixed! Once its fixed, it will be a good app.
