Detailed but lacking navigation. You should be able to browse through topics like you can in a physical dictionary, in addition to the current setup where you can only specific terms.

Excellent app. I really appreciate being able to bounce over to this app whenever I need to look up a word. It's easy to use and even gives you suggestions as you type.

Great reference. This has been a life saver while studying during nursing school. So instead of flips back through semesters of notes I can quickly get the definition of a word that I haven’t needed to use since 1st semester. Awesome!

In depth cross-reference with multiple sources' listing. It is meaningless, in this day and age, to limit information. This app does not do so. If I can't get a good connotative understanding, along with a hard denotation, something is wrong with my noggin. Excellent source. I would highly recommend spending the extra buck or two and downloading the entire set. I recommend this app and those other related to it. I will use this one again in the future, and look forward to doing so. Five stars, and a hearty hi-ho.

Helps a lot. There are many terms and it helps you find the one you are looking for really quickly.

Medical Dictionary. This medical Dictionary is very helpful 9 out of 10 times you will find the medical word in this dictionary. I know the medical world is constantly changing ,so this book will definitely help you out.

This review is very accurate, it’s also part of my grade for school.. The app is extremely easy to use, with the type of one letter there are many options to select from so correct/full spelling is not required. There are many ads if you are searching for words repeatedly. Share words, favorite and simple search allows you to search with parts of the word ex: starts with, ends with. The app does provide an in-depth definition and has hyperlinks for some medical terms used, so if needing further explanation one can easily select the hyperlink for comprehension. I have downloaded and gotten familiar with the app; I also google words/phrases I would like to know more about a lot. So, I will not only use this app for school and work (I work in a Dr’s office also) but also for personal use. A speak feature would make this app perfect!

Excellent Resource. I work in a hospital setting and I'm also preparing for the MCAT. This is an excellent resource for gathering definitions that are clear and concise with links to additional information/definitions to further understanding. Well put together.

Excellent product. I have been translating the procedure reports of medical procedures my friend have had lately. This is an invaluable resource. Will appreciate being able to understand what is going on in layman’s terms.

Nursing student. I am so happy ! That I found this app it has been helpful so far. erythromelalgia. If you’re find with ads, finding the definitions is easy and productive. However, as someone with erythromelalgia I found the definition very misleading and dangerous because of how misleading it is. EM is known to START SHOWING SYMPTOMS IN ADOLESCENCE. Not in people middle age. Another part of this is there’s a higher mortality rate due to suicide so I’m not sure how many of us MAKE IT TO MIDDLE AGE. EM is not something that can be planned. Em can either progress rapidly over weeks/months or steadily over years. I found the part where symptoms generally go away with cooling and rest to be infuriating. As there’s a reason why MAYO CLINIC HAS AN EM CLINIC. Because after the gabapentin, the ketamine compound, Botox, and then the nerve blockers there’s not really much left to do. I have to deal with ignorant doctors and nurses who will tell me my exercise induced flairs can BE FIXED BY EXERCISE when it puts me at risk for nerve damage. Please stop contributing to the idea that because it’s not cancer or liver failure, EM isn’t severe. Because it is. And many of us commit suicide because the pain is so bad.

Actually comprehendible!. Gotta say that this is really nice. It’s simple and understandable. It’s got adds but for a free app it has very little which I really like! Just know that it doesn’t have every medical term under the sun but it’s got tons! I recommend for people who need to decode things their doctors or saying or if their in training.

Rating. I am going to school for a degree in medical terminology and billing and coding. This has been a tremendous amount of help since I have no actual books or anything to look at. Everything is online and this app makes everything 10x more easier than using google or trying to find it in my online textbooks, which close as you find what you want and go to insert it where it belongs. Excellent idea and dictionary!!

A mystery solver.. Spending so many hours weekly with registered nurses (heaven forbid even with well meaning “technicians”) and those rare commodities we call doctors, as I leave them with glazed eyes and spinning bewilderments after less than the required 15 minutes sessions. I can remain confused or open this app. Thank you for the free use of this comprehensive medical app.

Outstanding. I have come to rely on this app for any medical question, explanation, or medications. It has never let me down. It is user friendly and doesn't torpedo me with constant updates. Very handy indeed.

Great for EMS!!!. As a new EMT, I’m constantly needing to quickly look up words, phrases, acronyms, abbreviations, terms, conditions, etc.. and this app always has my back in my times of need. App is easy to use and reliable. My favorite feature is that you can highlight any word in a page and look that up in the app as well. 5 stars!

Improvement. I was looking for the explanation or description to have more plain English and less medical jargon. I had to look up other words to understand the meaning. The search was easy and quick and I like all the similar words with the base term. Will keep the app and am sure will be good resource

Helps so very much. I’m going thru my dad’s medical for some information. I’m pretty knowledgeable having to deal with both my father and husband having medical problems. Amazing. It's amazing how much information is in this app! As I'm using it it reminds me of using a computer. You have to remind yourself that your only using a phone. I've been diagnosed with COPD and could not finish reading all this little app has on it. So I bookmarked the topic, and will return to try to complete my reading of all the information. Keep updating this app so that the immense amount of knowledge it has can be kept as current as possible. I recommend this app to anyone desiring a source of accurate medical and health information with no limit.

Great App!. I love this app because it not only covers medical issues and illnesses, but also medications. Usually it is one OR the other. The only thing that could make the app better would be if it did not require perfect spelling and could give you a few possibilities to choose from. Not everyone knows how to spell EVERY medication or illness correctly.

I had colon cancer surgery in March!. This is very great app ! I read about my colon and very easy to understand! I had surgery in Japan ( husband Japanese)and my doctor explained in English and Japanese but this app went into very easily understand details !! It’s great for me to review the detail information! As languages barrier for my complete understanding of what was happening in my colon! Still seeing my doctor but this helped me to understand more!surgery seems to be successful as of now !!really appreciate the well informed material in this app!!must for ones who want to know more on their illness!!Thankyou so much!!

Helps me tremendously!. In the last 1 1/2 years I have used this application several times a week. My health took a bad turn and I have read so many of my medical records that have many words that I just don't know the meaning of. I'm sure my doctors or their nurses would find me to be both annoying and time consuming if I were to call every time I wanted to know what some medical word meant. This dictionary has been a tremendous asset to helping me understand exactly what my test results and various conditions mean to my health. I honestly don't know how I could ever keep up with knowing what's going on with my health if I had to either call or email my doctor then wait for a response or go to a library to look up all the words. That's if the library even has a medical dictionary. I'd give this app 10 stars if I could.

Very helpful. I am a first semester medical student and I use it quite often. It is a big g help. With some of the words that I look up, I wish there were a photo associated with the definition. Overall great and very helpful app.

Medical Terminology Lifesaver. This app is a true lifesaver, that provides accurate and detailed information of medical terminology. It also comes in handy when you are off grid and need to study, or need a quick recap of a certain word.

Comprehensive. I am a nurse so I'm always in need of medical reference guides. This one is very comprehensive and thorough! There is no need to select from menus or categories...just type in what you are looking for, and there it is! It provides a lot of information on what I've searched thus far. Def a keeper for me!

Fantastic, but needs to fix one thing. The app is fantastic in terms of content. It’s very helpful to have multiple definitions. The app is simple and highly usable, except for the constant “no internet” messages. They are irritating and disrupt the usability. Fix this, and it’s a 5-star review.

This dictionary is a lifesaver!!!. This dictionary helped me immensely to understand and finish an extremely difficult assignment. Also studying for the test. Easy to use and has great functions that give you options and different variations of your words.

Love it. I love the app! I give 5 stars, but i really wish it had a “word of the day” or something of that nature. It would be neat to get a push notification with an often used word, just to strengthen/broaden the medical dictionary. Love the app though, nothing wrong with it at all!

Useful for nursing school. Quick access to multiple sources of medical terms is immensely helpful for learning the large amount of content throughout a nursing program. I can honestly say that I use it every day of studying. I especially like that it saves your searches, because I can look back at recent words I’ve needed. The only small complaints I have are that when I search a word and then go back to the search bar for a new word, the previous word is still there so I need to click the X button to clear it. And every so often if I close the app and reopen it, it will say it’s “offline,” although as soon as I make a search, it works fine. I paid for the ad-free version and think it’s absolutely worth it.

Terms Found. I opened this app hoping to find the medical terminology to assist my son while he’s taking a medical course in high school. This app is awesome I have found every word that I was is search for...

Unbelievable. This app is unbelievable, I have just been diagnosed with Macular Degeneration, having very little knowledge of this condition I immediately began a search to help me understand. This app which I downloaded last week has provided more information than I would have ever expected. As a dictionary I originally thought it would give an explanation of the words, this app far exceeds that. Really UNBELIEVABLE.

Very Handy for HIM. This is my go to medical dictionary for all my HIM classes. I can decipher most medical terminology however there is the occasional term that I need help from a medical dictionary to find its definition. This dictionary has clear and concise definitions, while the other dictionaries have lengthy and somewhat confusing definitions.

Easy to use!. I uploaded this app in search for what I’m going through, lol, I’m 58 years old and it appears that I’ve contracted Chicken Pox. Well, there’s a first for everything in life! I needed to understand what was going on with me, and the symptoms as well as the process and medication needed was all right there easily understandable! I’ve purchased all the wrong stuff and now I know what to go get for the relief I’m needing! Needless to say, I am so very grateful.!!!

Can’t understand. There is an option to have the word pronounced, but mostly a British pronounce is given for most words. Can this be fixed? There should be an option for American pronounce given for all words. It’s very hard to understand what the prompt is saying or there is no option at all.

Very helpful to someone with rare medical condition. I have a rare autoimmune condition and this app has been really helping me better understand terms and mechanisms involved in my condition. Only complaint is that the interface is not refined for use on newer phones but is still totally useful. In particular, I love that it provides definitions from multiple sources. This helps me a lot in better understanding what each terms means.

Medical info & terms that save lives & improve health. I live in a rural area, where some of my best friends probably tolerate me, simply because of my ability & willingness to read, look up & explain things. Our primary care clinics are ran by nurses, with few speciality physicians available, one day/mth, by referal. Things quickly done in cities are very long trips & big ordeals from Gods county. This app has been a lifesaver, providing info that’s enabled a better understanding of possible health issues, diagnosis & the ability to then discuss & ask questions at the next medical visit. To have some ability to make informed decisions about healthcare. Above all, it’s provided, understandable info that multiple friends have desperately needed & used, after test & treatments were ordered, that gave them reason to choose to give up, cancel appointments & avoid useless efforts, & pass in peace at home. This lil app provided info that has saved lives of those I love, thru understanding terms which in turn provided hope, treatment & cure. There are things that can still be tweaked, & continually improved, that is always part of any successful endeavor, but it’s a lifesaving lil app already.

Better than I Expected. Great app, whenever I want to look up a term, its very useful. It has a lot of information on the words, and is very professional, and cites sources. One thing I would recommend is maybe a different section for random terms, maybe words of the day (or something like that), or possibly terms sorted by alphabetical order so you don’t have to search for terms if you want to learn something new.

Comprehensive and Extremely Contemporary, Correct Correlated Information. I am very pleased to be able to rate this app as a Five Star App. It far exceeds expectation as the information included even mentions a condition I suffer from that has only been a newly recognised diagnosis for the past three years. This app is incredibly comprehensive, correct and the information is easy cross correlated. I recommend it to anyone needing to grasp complex medical terminology definitions. Medical Dictionary. I found the application to be most helpful in understanding the various medical terminology used in various documents I was reading. I would recommend it to anyone needing a simple and fast translation of medical terminology to that used by the average laymen.

Links between terms would help. Please let me know of any upgrades! I am trying to understand my wife’s complicated illnesses, and the up-to-date information you provide has been so helpful! The detail available and it’s clarity are very helpful to the lay person. However, there are often other technical terms in the descriptions, and it would help if there could be links to the terms embedded in the text. Obviously, this would have to be done gradually, given the number of terms in the dictionary.

Pretty cool. I'm a leukemia survivor, and was just curios on what type I had they kept saying ALL in the hospital so it being a few year later I was curious what if meant.

Clutch!. Sooooo helpful for nursing school. So many words that you're expected to know and this app is so clutch when I need to look up a word quickly.

Awesome. I am currently in nursing school and this medical dictionary is a life saver when coming across odd disease processes or even if you’re just trying to brush up on medical terminology.

Makes medical jargon understandable.. This so is so easy to use, and so far, everything I was looking for! Have mostly used to cross reference medications, and have no complaints.

Works well for College. It has helped me wit definitions of things for my homework in college. Although not all the words that I need are here but overall it's amazing.

Medical Dictionary. This site has informed me on all my medical issues. I currently have a grandson who has been on life support since he was 5 hours old. I finally got a diagnosis just before his open heart surgery at 5 days old. We have been rocking and reeling emotionally ever since. This site brought everything into facts and logic so we could cope better and I thank you.

Crashes On Startup ‼️. Version 3.0 will not open; it crashes on startup. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not correct the issue. I have an iPad Mini 3 running iOS version 12.4.4. According to its App Store description, this app requires iOS 12.2 or above. It should function perfectly on my device!
