Just passed the test. I just took the NASM CPT exam this morning and passed. I didn’t study a ton, (not that I recommend doing that) but doing a little bit each day of this app definitely helped me pass. I also agree with another reviewer who said they felt these questions are actually harder than the real test. Good practice to add to your study routine.

Mixed feelings. I think that this app is a good study guide and more challenging being that it phrases questions differently than the NASM study guide does. It also draws from other material from the text and challenges your knowledge of the subject matter. What I don’t like is when you move on to the next set of 10 questions you can’t go back and review the previous questions. This may not be of big concern if you are using the free edition, but I don’t want to wait until I’ve completed all 700 questions before I can re challenge myself on those previous questions.

So far so good. So far I love the app. The question”s are challenging. I like how the answer is explained in detail and a reference is given on where to find it in the NASM book with page number. I did purchase the paid version. It’s worth checking out the free one for yourself. Hopefully it will help me to pass the test. Update: July 25th 2018 This was instrumental in passing the test for me. These questions aren’t on the test obviously. However they make you think more about the topics covered on the test. Honestly these questions are harder in my opinion.

Good but I experience alot of lagging. The questions are really great and the explanations for questions right there are really helpful. But I experience alot of lagging when it comes to trying to build exams,trying to look at my readiness in different subjects, navigating the app in general after I got the ultimate package. It's so bad I can't even use the app anymore unfortunately for it keeps freezing and then closing by itself. Really hoping they fix this issue asap

Major Asset to your Study Time. Similar to the other reviews, you will not find many questions on the actual exam. This is a supplement to the self study which is closer to the actual exam. These questions are harder, if you get them wrong then the explanation will direct you to the text where you can refresh your knowledge. This app is a must buy and way cheaper than a re-test fee. Score in the 80’s here and you will pass on the first try.

I’m undecided.. MANY of the questions I’ve encountered are covering material that wasn’t stressed during NASM guided study. For instance, I’ve noticed far more questions related to the upper crossed and lower crossed syndromes than on the overhead squat. I’ll know after I’ve taken the exam if the material covered in this app was helpful. One of things I do NOT like about the test questions in the app is the over abundance of questions that ask you to choose the answer that does not apply. (All of the responses below are examples of ——-, except____.) I consider those to be trick questions and I don’t find them as helpful when studying.

Can I get my money back. Yo, can I get my money back? App is constantly having problems and often won’t load the questions and continues to say error. Even after deleting the app and re-downloading it. Very dissatisfied considering how much I paid for my course AND this app, and this app really doesn’t do much. At least not for me. It just glitches.

Great app for confidence. This app is great! Really boosts my confidence when I’m taking quizzes. Love that it explain to you why your answer is right or wrong. One thing that really bugs me though. Every now and then it crashes and signs me out or it I just am forced to sign back in. Not a big deal but very annoying.

Good content, not so good quality. The content is great. And getting 800 Flashcards is awesome!! However, I DID NOT pay $34 for this app to crash so often, log me out at random times, and take forever to load/generate a quiz.. then when it seems to load up.. it’ll say sorry can’t find the questions.. NEEDS AN UPDATE...

Good questions but freezes constantly. A lot of good questions but constantly freezes.. after you’re on it and it actually opens then you are good to go. But trying to use this app during quick breaks it’s useless. It takes about 5 minutes to open.. if you touch any button during those 5 minutes then you’re out of luck cause everything will freeze

Passed First Try. I passed today! First try. This app definitely helped. Really insightful, very well made, very relevant. I studied hard with note cards and review and this app. I recommend it.

Useful but FREEZES. I entered in my exam date on the app and once it hit the zero countdown the app is nearly useless. Every time I click on it it “refreshes user data”. It continuously logs me out, and it takes forever to load when I’m choosing options to create my own tests. I would attempt to get a refund, but I do believe this may have actually helped me pass my exam. I’m just very disappointed that I’m not able to continue using it currently....

Waste of $20. App is slow to open, sometimes doesn’t open at all. I tried reinstalling and had the same problem. Many test answers are wrong/don’t match the choices given. The app constantly freezes. It’s reset my saved data a few times so I have no record of scores in the test areas. I tried to provide this feedback in app, but it froze and then crashed each time. Save your money!

A must to pass NASM-CPT. A few bugs early on but app improvement (with Beta program) increased quickly. Would not have passed without the easy to use & relevant tool. Also Peter - sent me a good luck email day before exam!! Who does that? Thank you so much for this app!

Not working properly. I love the app it is very helpful but it seems like the app glitches out sometimes not working right and there are updates with bug fixes but it seems like the problem has not been resolved and it is very very frustrating

I passed first try!. Ran the 10 quick questions every chance I got starting 2 weeks from exam. Ran through all 800 and started again and got through another 100. The nasm exam is a little more pin point on their questions, but if you keep doing the ones on prep, you can easily work through the logic on the questions. This definitely was a help and worth it!!

Was great... now eh.. When the most recent updates happened, app started freezing and closing frequently, and also started logging me out each time it closed suddenly. It freezes all the time and has been very frustrating to use. Not worth the$20 to have to fight with the app. Once you’re in though, the material is good

Lots of repeat questions. I purchased the version with 700 questions and it turned out a vast majority of those questions came up several times throughout while it did reinforce some things I was hoping for more variety in the questions as it was more about memorizing the question. All in all though I did find it helpful for passing my exam.

Not all answers were correct.. I really liked the format of this application it has a lot of potential but I came across two questions that were wrong and when I looked them up in the book it was a different answer than the app was telling me. So with there being a 200$ retake fee this was very worrisome. After all if there was two then who knows how many else there could be(possibly none others) but I simply don't want to fact check everything I just want to study and know what I'm studying is absolute. Long story short I just used the quizzes online from the actual NASM login page and passed.

Best App Around!!!!. Questions are tricky and some very obvious, making the quizzes fun and well explained allowing you to to take from your mistakes and overcome areas you might need more knowledge in!!! Way worth the money to purchase!!!!

Would not recommend. I am sorry to say, but I would not recommend this application. I commend developers for designing programs like this, but there are simply too many errors. I take the CPT every couple of years and know it inside and out. While I do believe in continuing education I also like to test to prove knowledge. My Masters degree is in Human Movement Systems and I am working on my Ph.D in Exercise Science with concentrations in kinesiology, bioenergetics, and arthrokinematics. I take health and nutrition seriously and I cannot use a program that hasn’t gone through a rigorous QA program. It has potential, but needs more examination on the nature of their answers.

Great Setup. Just got this APP and I was throughly impressed. Hopefully I can pass this exam on my second attempt. The explanations help significantly to understand why something is right and wrong. Does this APP help build a custom exam based on the sections that you get wrong?

I passed!!. I passed the first time and I truly believe this app played a huge part in that. Two weeks before I was scheduled to take the exam I started generating 100 question practice exams in this app and taking them obsessively. It was not easy and it hurt my brain but the more I took the tests the easier they became. I love that it explains why the answer is the correct answer and why the wrong answers are wrong. I also had the CPT Guided Study app provided by NASM so I was able to take all of the practice exams on there as well. I payed for the pro version of this app and don’t regret it for a moment!

I passed!. I used this app and I did pass! It was helpful because when I took the test it did require that I actually understand the material vs just memorize it. That is where I feel the app helped me out in better understanding what I was learning in the text.

Great addition to NASM questions/test. Good app, challenging questions, sometimes a bit of gray area and or obscure questions that will never appear on the certification exam. Overall very satisfied , one suggestion the desktop and mobile versions do not sync up very well. Definitely recommend while preparing for the NASM cert. exam, was a huge help!

Pocketprep. If you use it, it works. Referencing why I got the answers wrong is the best part because I’m even able to take notes I wasn’t from the actual online course.

Don’t waste your money. Honestly if you want to pass NASM, you need to study the material that was given to you through NASM, this is a separate entity of its own and is not connected to NASM in any shape or form. Go through the book and the practice tests that NASM provides and you will pass the test. This app is only here to waste your money make flash cards and go old school, with that being said i downloaded this app and paid the $30 to get the 800, and made the mistake of only studying on this app and a little bit from the book, DONT DO THAT!!! A lot of the questions that are on this app are not on the test, only two of the 800 have some relation, I strongly do not recommend this app waste of time and money

I love it but.... I wish there was a prep guide on the free version. At least something to help us prepare for the actual exam. I’ve already taken it once and I don’t feel the app was that big of help for the TEST, just basic exercise knowledge. A lot of questions that were on the test were never even prepared on the app or online with spending the $50 extra.

Well-designed app but lacking a variety of ways to learn the material. It’s great to have such a variety of questions to take practice tests and the actual app is nicely designed and user friendly, but it would be nice to have a flash card section, especially for anatomy and some other learning modalities.

This app is great. I started using pocket prep to really focus on my weak areas because my exam was coming up. I bought the 400 question pack. I’m so grateful for this app, I gained a lot of confidence from the unlimited tests. Happy to say I passed!

This 100% helped me pass. The in-app question style, format, & ability to review missed questions contributed to my passing the NASM-CPT on the first time. If I ever need to study for another exam, I’m using pocket prep.

Too slow. Glitchy. And crashes. Haven't taken the NASM exam yet, but purchased this app from recommendations i’ve been seeing on here. Good amount of decent questions with answers and references to where the subject is in the book, yet the app crashes too often. Its very very slow at “refreshing” yet still gives the same questions over at times. Always find myself refreshing and being frustrated that I only use this app once a day being that it doesn't refresh, gets stuck and crashes too much.

Very helpful. The explanations for each question are very clear and show the pages of the book if you need more information.

Passed my test!!. I passed my test and a lot of it has to do with this app!! Any chance I had I would pull up the app and do a 10 question practice test. Some of the questions were on my actual test. If you get a question wrong, it’ll give you a detailed explanation on the correct answer. Helped me retain the information! Definitely recommend

Useful app!. I passed on my first attempt. I used this app in combination with the online practice exams and study guides to prepare. I highly recommend going through every one of the 500 questions, maybe even twice. Read the study guide they provide. I spent the most time on UNDERSTANDING overactive and under active muscles, learning the exercises and their progressions/regressions and acute variables. Those were the hardest for me. If you're exam readiness shows you in the high 80s or above, you're in good shape.

Review. I’m extremely pleased with the ease in accessibility to any options on the app. I also love the fact that I can have it alert me everyday to study

Like playing a game. For a person that finds it difficult to be able to teach yourself, this would be a far better way to be able to learn. Highly recommend it!

Best App Ever. I never felt like I could study properly for the NASM exam but once I found this app, I get an efficient study in every single day. I love the fact that it shows you the reason WHY each answer is correct. So you are learning each question! So great.

Excellent App. I’ve been using this app for two weeks now and have just bought my NASM book. During this time, I’ve been taking the practice fitness assessment questions from the app and when I completed the same chapter in the book, the app questions were almost spot on. So far, I think the app in conjunction with book study should work perfect.

Great program- could benefit from a few small updates. Program is comprehensive, extensive, and challenging. The added factor of a Question of the Day is a great perk. The app could benefit from an update of NASMs most recent material. In addition, a feature where the user can decide which specific chapter(s) from which questions are generated would be most helpful. Example: if I decided I only want questions from chapter 1 or chapters 1,2&3.

Too many wrong answers. As I was taking the quick 10 questions, too many of the answers were coming up wrong. I eventually stopped relying on the app as another study guide. It was good for review though as long as you knew the question that was wrong was right. So-so app. Also, can't use it off-line which was a big problem for me. I fly a lot for work and don't have access to wifi on my airline. I thought I'd be able to do some of these quizzes while on long flights. Nope.

Pocket Prep for NASM CPT. I absolutely LOVE ❤️this app! It has helped me to be able to study on the go! I have terrible test anxiety and it has also helped to ease some of my anxiety - by seeing how the questions may be asked on the Certification Exam!

Worked great except the bugs. My pocket prep worked great until bugs started showing up. For example, I can’t create my own custom exam anymore bc it forces you to choose content for the exam and bug leaves that area blank so you aren’t able to actually choose anything and move on to next step. Also, seriously super super slow at times and freezes. Lastly, I noticed some of the multiple choice answers are duplicated so the same answer will be for both answer a or b in the same question.

Too many glitches. I like the way the questions were worded because it made you think a little more and overall, I thought it explained the questions good but it constantly froze, was never accessible when I had a few minutes to spare, would exit out randomly in the middle of a practice exam, and was super unreliable. Never knew if the app was going to open or not and if it did, if I would be able to access an exam or not without it crashing.

Virtual 2020 Exam. I started using this app less than 10 days before I sat for the exam at home and I passed this week. I don’t think I would have without this app. While the questions available in the app are not necessarily the same as those in the exam, they prepare you for the exam because they are much more challenging. Highly recommend!

I would give 0 to the app because it seems like a scam.. I bought the app classic which was supposed to last for 2 month and it’s not even two months but I lost access to my paid version! I’m not able to use anything except free version and asked to upgrade/pay again. It sad and ridiculous! I was planning to study and scheduled my exam to get it right after my last day of app purchase. But now I don’t know what to do! It’s just ruined my studying plan. Apple did not help anyhow to resolve the issue. No contacts of developer . So, if you pal. To study and buying for a period of time, keep in mind that they will close an access at any time. Scam!

I passed!!. If it wasn’t for this app and the 800 example possible test questions I honestly do not believe I would have passed my CPT NASM exam! I continuously answered questions when I was on lunch at work and when I was off- the quick 10 question exams were useful because I could take them quickly when I had a few minutes to spare. This app is awesome and I would recommend it to any and everyone getting their NASM PT certification! I learned a lot and retained the information as well- I started using this app 10 days before my exam and it helped prepare me for the end result and I PASSED!

Weird glitches. Question of the day won’t load and there were a few questions with two multiple choice answers that are exactly the same...ironically this glitch did not happen until after I paid for the upgraded version 🤔😒 Took developer advice...deleted and re-downloaded still having the exact same issues.

Great App!. I passed my NASM CPT exam on the first try. I owe a lot to NASM pocket prep. I took over 300 practice test prior to taking my exam, and I feel those test really helped me. You can use this app anywhere; in line at the supermarket, in waiting rooms and even on vacations! I highly recommend this app if you are serious about passing your NASM CPT exam.

This app works better than practice exams!. I passed my NASM CPT on Thursday of last week and I know I could not have done it without this app. It is easy to use, easy to understand, and the questions are in line with the actual exam. There were some that were actually harder so if you get a good percentage on these exams, then you probably will have an Evan better chance of passing the CPT exam. The Best Additive. Passed my NASM CPT test today! I purchased the full version of this app to help supplement for info I didn't have access to on the fly and to quiz myself in various settings and environments. It was perfect and incredibly helpful. This app quizzes you on concepts and applications, just like the actual NASM Final. These are not the same questions that are on the test but the concepts and applications are the same and if you have any questions or doubts, look up the explanation with the provided text book page number! In my opinion, it was worth every penny and I would use this app a hundred times over.

Thank you so much!!. I just walked out of my NASM exam and passed it on the first try! I owe a whole lot of my success to this app! The interface is so much better than any of the NASM CPT apps on the App Store (in my opinion). The explanation are incredibly useful when you don't know the answer to a question(although it would be nice to have more pictures integrated with the explanations). I will admit, a lot of the questions on the actual exam where a bit different than on this app. However, I believe the question on this app are a lot harder than the actual exam. I can't say know the answer to all 500 question on this book will guarantee you will pass the real text. I will say, if you actually read your book, use these quizzes and on any question you really don't understand, find the answer in the book and really try to understand what this quiz is asking you. Is this app updated to the 7th addition?. Does anyone know?

Passed on first try!. I do a practice quiz every night in addition to the online nasm cpt course. It's a great supplement to the material covered in the book. My favorite feature is how it breaks down your quiz results into sections so I can see where my performance is poorest (basic and applied sciences 😒). Then you can make the quiz so it only gives you questions from that particular section. It keeps a history of all quizzes too! And for every answer there are detailed explanations of why the answer is right and why the wrong answers are wrong. Update: I passed on my first try and I thought the real test was pretty easy! The questions in this app are a great representation of how the real test questions are. Also I'd suggest the muscle app by real bodywork to remember all the muscles. And it helps to actually implement what you learn into your own workouts!

NASM. Yes! Thank You for this APP! I’m learning so much. And it’s a great way to understand the way these questions are being put together for the test.

Doesn’t work. I paid for this app and I still have the ad at the beginning...but this is not the problem. I can’t close the ad’s page and can’t acces the app, have to delete ans reinstall it every time I nees to use it .

Not good !. When i tried to log in my old account and i can’t log in. It was an error and I don’t like it. Please fix it or else this will happen to others when the app is updated. Thumbs down

Passed The exam, and I still use the app!. I discovered this app only a few days before taking my exam (wish I had much sooner!) As another reviewer said, showing answers along the way was very useful. For me, this format helped me understand and remember the information much easier than strictly trying digest it all from the textbook and notes. Even tho I passed my exam, I still do my Question of the Day and even do the practice exams if I'm waiting in line or on the subway. Figured it will help keep me sharp, and just because I passed, I know I didn't get 100% - there are still some things I need to understand and know better. Definitely worth paying for the full app!

Random questions. Some of the questions are not on any of the program . I’ll pass this app and just study from the quizzes they give u in the actually nasm program

Too many bugs. When it work it’s a really good tool to refresh and or take practice exam for CPT hopefuls . It’s just too many bugs in the app causing a lot of force closes making it sometimes unusable

TERRIBLE!!!!. Absolutely terrible app!!!! Not worth the money when this app don’t work correctly! Flagged questions are never saved!!!! I contacted the customer service on this app asking for a refund and of course no help!!!

Best app for NASM CPT Exam. I'm in the process of studying for the exam and have tried out a few apps. This one is by far the best. You can make your own quizzes by selecting how many questions and what topic areas you want to cover. You get a detailed explanation of each answer not only telling you why the correct answer is correct but why the incorrect answers are not correct. Great way to learn from your mistakes. If you buy the app expansion you get 500 questions and detailed answers that really apply the information . I'm very happy I found this app!

Perfect study tool!. Getting ready to take my CPT. This app has helped me especially in the areas that I'm having trouble retaining. Being able to have the answer explained on each question is helping me have a better understanding. I love that it shows the chapter and page number on each question so you can refer back to it if you need further explanation. I purchased the full package because I can use all the help I can get. Also being able to customize my test helps me focus on the areas that I need help on.

Nags me and I need it. I set this app to remind me to do question of the day. I'm glad it does or I would probably blow it off. What's great is you can see the red or green history and go back and review questions you answered (red) incorrectly. The correct answer is given. If you keep at this, even guessing the multiple choice answers for things you have not studied or have no knowledge about...you'll get it right eventually. As the app stresses, these are not actual questions on the test but makes you think about the global information surrounding it.

Nasm pocket prep. I purchased the pocket prep the 800 question months ago and now I can login to the app to get start now what can I do

Passed my exam on the first try. This app helped a lot. Loved the QOTD. It also helped to take the quiz questions in sections to know what to review in the book. The explaining of the answers is what helped the most, so I always chose the show answer as I go option. You all should take the practice exam online until you get high 90s score as well as the quizzes here because these questions will really prepare you for the actual exam. Also, app developers... You guys spelled hydration "hyrdration" in one of your questions.

Loading slow/Freezes. I’ve had my app for a while now and since I switched to iPhone the app doesn’t seem to work as great. If I go to do anything the whole app is completely frozen.

Passed my test!. This app helped me pass my test. It pretty much has all of the test answers.

Trouble to access to the app. Always trouble to get to the app and to stay in for studying and practicing.

Not challenging enough. Please add more questions and make the harder.

Wrong answers. Some of the answers given do not seem accurate as per the book and some have spelling mistakes making it hard to understand the question. I’m not confident using this app for my Exam prep.

Good for studying but.... Good app but it really gets knocked major points for it lagging and shutting down on me over and over. 7 times out of 10 it would crash on me and I would have to re open it. Not good.

Exactly like the NASM CPT EXAM. Buy the app, study and UNDERSTAND the material. Memorization will not help. -------------------------- Passed my CPT Exam without breaking a sweat. In all honestly, if you study hard + use this app, i don't see any reason why someone would fail. I saw multiple questions that mimic the test & questions exactly the same in the practice quizzes given by NASM and in this app. -------------------------- The current update for this app totally blows, i've been having difficulty navigating though the app because of glitches. Hopefully they fix this because this app is very useful.

Not an accurate guide to passing the test. I recently took my NASM cpt test after consistently studying with this guide for 2 months and most of the questions on the test I hadn’t seen at all mentioned on the app. This app isn’t an accurate study guide in my opinion.

Lifesaver!. This app is a lifesaver for me and has been a tremendous help as an additional tool to study for my CPT test. The questions are relevant to the 2016 NASM text book, and questions are cleverly presented to make you really pay attention to every multiple choice answer. The explanation of each answer is a great help and I enjoy the question of the day. The only issue that I have is that the app does not move as quick on my IPad as it does on my phone. I highly recommend this app, especially if you are getting ready to take your exam.
