Slow and unreliable. At first the app was great! Connected fast and didn’t slow down internet speeds at all. About a month in the app would take 30-60 seconds to connect. I would have to turn off the VPN, close the app and then turn it back on for it to connect. Recently I upgraded my phone and now the App will not let me sign in and I paid for a year subscription. Tried to rest my password but it will not send me an email to reset password. Lost about 6 months of use of the VPN. Just not reliable

Broke wifi on my iPhone. I cannot connect to wi-fi on my iPhone with Freedome installed. Just turning it off doesn't resolve the issue. I have to uninstall it. It used to work fine. The issue with wifi just happened in the last few days. When I initially submitted this review I could still connect to wi-fi on my iPad with Freedome. About a week later, it started doing the same thing there - would not connect to wi-if with the app installed. This is not a free app, a fix should be a priority!!!

Wifi doesn't work????!!! What's the point?. I love this app for my mobile devices- easiest ands most reliable VPN by far. Recently when I connect to open wifi networks, it disconnects completely from wifi. At first I thought that particular network blocked VPN protocols but it has now happened on networks I've connected to before- hotels, restaurants, etc. I bought those VPN solely for the mobile app and it's totally worthless. What happened?! Used to be awesome.

Install b4 you go to China. I signed up for the free trial before going to China. It works here and let’s me use Facebook and read other blocked sites like google. I have now bought the 1 year subscription . I just wish there was a package I could get for multiple devices.

Hire A Babysitter. I have used this VPN on my phone and iPad for years. Since my renewal is coming up next month, I checked in to make sure it was up and running. Well, apparently a new version of the ap was automatically downloaded some time awhile back. When I opened the ap the VPN was ‘off’ and it welcomed me as a new user. I have no idea how long I was not protected. So, if you use this ap, make sure you hire a babysitter to make sure it stays ’on’ or, like me, you will be very disappointed.

Good when app allows log on.. App woks well on my iPad, which was the first device I installed it on. It also works fine on my laptop (the second device installed on). Its highly erratic on my iPhone (3rd device installed on). I’m unable to log into the apl from my iphone eventhough I have a 3 device subscription.

Mostly Broken. Not sure why but when I access apps Like target - craigslist etc! Im unable to use the apps on my phone along with a lot of Internet searches. When I click onto links I get told it’s unsafe when know it’s perfectly safe. I have to turn the VPN off go back then re-enter the site. This started happening about five or six months ago is it a bug fix the bugs please..

works. I use this all over the world, traveling and work. It works great. Continually updated and good customer service.

Good but could improve. Please make turning Freedome VPN on and off available in Siri Shortcuts! Also please sort the locations by most recently used, so that those continuously changing between the same 2-3 locations can always easily find them at the top.

Convenient but kills speed. On my xfinity WiFi with my 11 pro max I get 460+ mbps. With VPN turned on I get 65-70 mbps. I gave feedback but received no reply. Why pay xfinity for faster performance and pay F-Secure to slow it down? I will not be renewing my subscription if it doesn’t improve. I understand your reply, some slowdown is expected but only getting 16% of my download speed (at home on my own WiFi) is unacceptable.

The VPN works as promised. On a recent trip, I had a layover at LAX. When I used the public WIFI to check my flight status the app measures 35 trackers during less than 10 minutes on connection.

Freedome VPN. I have used F-Secure products for a number of years. The products deliver exceptional quality and value for your money. On the occasions that I have had to use their support services have been few and quick. The support staff are very knowledgeable and quick to correct any issue.

FSecure offers reliable VPN across multiple devices. FSecure/Freedom works for reliable, easy VPN, with economical options for 10 devices (which we actually use). I still use Express VPN when traveling in Asia, but over the last year, this has been reliable for me in Morocco, South Africa, Quebec/Canada, Turkey, and the East Coast of the U.S.

Dependable, Good Value and Easy to Use. I use this app all the time. It can be tricky in some countries that block VPNs. The area of improvement would be to make multiple device subscriptions easier to use. I can’t seem to link Freeome for MacBook Air with my iPhone and iPad.

Subing to several VPNs? Doing it wrong!!. There is no earthly reason you need more than one VPN. I’ve read ridiculous articles or I should say reviews, because anyone with the education to land a job writing an article knows that they only need one VPN, even on this apps reviewer‘s. Multiple lifetimes subscriptions to different applications? Sub subscribe to the best one, for me it’s Nord, it just depends on your needs. Do a little bit of research, find out what VPN company goes hard on the features you need. End of discussion

Works well. This vpn does exactly what I want it to--it quietly sits in the background and works. I'm happy with its performance, and am very happy that my frequent use of airport and coffee shop wifi is not out in the clear for the world to read. My only complaint is that once in a while, I get a screen from Google wanting me to prove I'm not a robot (I guess because lots of people are hitting Google from the same VPN exit point.)

Good all-around VPN/Privacy app. Works well, mostly. The tracker mapper is a great feature and can be very enlightening. I use a few different VPN services that I pay for, and occasionally I will get very slow SpeedTest results while connected to Freedome. When this happens, I’ll switch to another one of the providers (say OpenVPN with PrivateTunnel or NordVPN) or just turn VPN off and retest. For whatever reason, my speeds increase and results are back where they should be. These speed issues are rare though and not enough for me to knock more than one star off. I paid for a year with Freedome even though I have other paid VPN subscriptions (one lifetime, another 3-years, another expires in 16 months). In my opinion, this app and service are worth the price. Will update this review if that changes.

Freedome and the latest iOS are not compatible. With the latest iOS updates, I am not able to turn on Freedome in my iPhone X because the when it is “ON” the phone immediately goes to LTE. Before I knew this I talked to a genius and apple ended up giving me a new machine, only to come home and have the same problem again. Then I noticed the conflict. I called and spoke to Apple, and they will look into this but Freedome also needs to do something about the incompatibility. I just renewed my subscription to Freedome....

Excellent. Very impressed with this service. VPN services can be glitchy and can interfere with apps, and I haven't experienced any issues at all since I began using this. Battery consumption isn't too bad; I have a lot of apps on my phone that use a lot of juice and the VPN hasn't seemed to make much of a difference there. The tracker feature is very informative. Some of my favorite and most-viewed sites are the biggest offenders here and it's been quite illuminating. All in all - great app and service. Will be renewing my subscription.

No longer works. Is there anyway to get a refund? This is so horrible idk what happened to it, it makes my phone unusable and it never connects then everything is off line unless I turn off vpn all together. I’ve never had this problem except for the past week but it’s been a everyday thing. It’s constantly trying to connect. I’ve used suggested locations, I’ve reset my vpn settings. Whatever changes you guys made recently impacted your services in a bad way. Idk if you cut back on servers or changed up using cheaper software but it’s something on your end bc my phone works great without your services but I no longer have protection. I just won’t a refund for the reminder of my subscription.

I’m afraid. So I had a free trial and I saw that it blocked 7 trackers and honestly I am trying to look for a free vpn and once this is done I cannot have protection and I’m going to be tracked! I just wish this was free forever so I don’t get tracked or even hacked!

Freedome is awesome!. Freedome by F-Secure is the best VPN service for mobile devices hands-down: I'm hooked!!! Been using it since it first came out (also been a beta tester since almost the beginning) on all of my devices. I've used many others, and none are as slick, fast, and user friendly as Freedome. I trust F-Secure with my privacy and give them my highest recommendation!

Generally positive!. When it works, it’s fantastic, with little noticeable large unless gaming. And it works 80% of the time. However, 20% is the time it has trouble connecting, requiring turning the VPN and/or WiFi/cell off and back on. To get 5 stars (1 star each): 1) improve connection reliability (doesn’t have to be 100%, but up from 80% 2) add a widget to review status and toggle on/off

Bypass Trump’s possible Tik Tok ban using Freedome. Love Freedome. Have had it for a few years and use it access European News andTV shows not available to stream in the US. I am not a huge fan of Tik Tok but do not believe an American president should be wasting time and resources on banning a SoMe app, even if for just a short period of time, only because his ego cannot take videos making fun of him.

Works great. Excellent price to cover 7 devices and I feel very comfortable knowing I have VPN protection. I see the VPN logo in the top right of my screen when I’m on the internet and know I’m covered.

Can’t login in other devices. I’m a new fan of this vpn, I recently just paid for one month plan and I am having issues to log in into other devices, when I try to login it it says login error ( password incorrect) I don’t know why cos I am not finding it funny at all, I want to use the vpn on my windows laptop, Please can you help me in what to do?

Great working VPN. I like that it works very simply and efficiently, very easy to use and it doesn't disconnect like other VPN’s seem to constantly. Freedome VPN is the best operating VPN I’ve ever used out of 5 I’ve tried so far. 👍🏻

Hotel Wifi Safety. I travel a lot and even though I have a Macbook with some built in security the Freedome gave me a larger sense of safety and freedom the work on important documents. There were times when I could not connect so I used my phone with Freedome and created a hotspot. Easy to turn on and off when needed.

Like it. I like it. I think the Tracker could use a little work but the app overall does what it says it will do.

Improved security.. I purchased the program to improve computer security while on my computers or my phone. I have encountered a couple of sites that seem to treat you like you are up to no good because of hiding behind a VPN.

Simple, Easy, Works. Use it on my 5S and my old iPad and it works with little to no performance degradation. Mainly waiting to get ahead of the ISPs being able to track and sell my data, etc. very easy to setup and very inexpensive.

Broke wifi. This happens prolly because the tracking stations don't like this item because for freely downloading an item like they can't sell your information, so I am pretty sure an attempt was made to sabotage this app. Currently not even the wifi on my computer works now, and I downloaded this for my iPhone....I wish the government would protect our right to privacy. Whoever responsible, simply trying to prevent the success of a good app, prolly only for financial gain, is what is occurring here. Get a new phone and number, get the vpn and get out wireshark. Y'all need to carefully analyze all incoming traffic

Simply works well. Great app that works reliably on all my devices. Very simple to use. Safety from malicious sites is greatly appreciated...as is the unbelievable number of tracking attempts Freedome blocked over a year. Thank you my friends from Finland!

Great and easy to use VPN. Been using this for 3 years on MAC’s, IOS Devices, etc. it’s very easy, works great, and when I had questions about billing their customer service was amazing. One caution, if you want multiple devices and operating systems I have found it better and easier to buy directly from their website.

Wow. Recommended 100%. I didn’t think this was going to work, but it surely does. I am incredibly impressed with these results. They block people trying to hack. They don’t let you go into any websites they think are bad for you. They make you safely use any WiFi safely. I really really recommend this app over everything else you tried.

Keeps on protecting!. I actually find this VPN incredibly worthy unlike the many garbage VPNs I have tried (at least 10+). This by far did the best job and I’m telling you, it doesn’t work at minimum capacity - it is extremely reliable and keeps on protecting! I do a lot of travel and work trips abroad so I need a VPN that not only protects me on public networks, but also disguises my location so I can access sites that I use locally at home. Further than that, a lot of VPNs don’t allow you to choose your location WHILE having a strong connection to a server. I’ve had several where it allows me switch to a server that is close to home but it’s such a weak connection it doesn’t even work (so what’s the point?) I love that it’s fast, reliable, maintains a steady connection, and tells you what it’s protecting you from. The negatives are that the login is very unclear how to access your accounts which was frustrating at first and that you can’t choose a very specific location of the VPN (it gives general regions of the US and such but I want a specific city). If they could improve those two details, it would be P E R F E C T.

Sometimes works great.... I have had Freedome for almost two years. The only problem I have is that it just stops working out of the blue sometimes, which drops me out of whatever page or site I'm on. But usually I am very happy with Freedome. And my problem may lie in the fact that I am still using the app on my old iPad mini, which Apple stopped updating a year ago.

Cool that you get to choose location. That function in itself was exactly what I needed, and seeing the developers on social media explaining this tool to users on a more personal level made me feel it was more trustworthy than a faceless company.

Impressive. Seems to be a very effective and easy to use VPN. Impressive are the attempted tracking information if you enable this option for a 24 hours monitoring. It is just amazing which applications are trying to get user information. After installing this app I feel much safer and secure.

Great to have it there all the time with no fuss.. It works. It’s easy. No problems for me with any locations including Melbourne. I got it in a pack with desktop VPNs. I would never go without it on my mobile again.

Very well designed and works well. I have only used this all for a short period but it's a very well designed (UI) product and very simple to get working. Basic tests shows the country based drop offs work well, would be nice to be able to see a live traffic report or summaries of active traffic using the VPN... Although I've only used it briefly so it might exist .

Down to 2 starts. Very limited servers ! I am going firm 5 starts to 2 ! I need to switch for a research to some specific countries but guess what they don’t support it ! Now I have to find a different VPN , which will allow me that ! And yeah I still have a year worth of subscription paid 😢

Great to have as a backup. With the Australian government pushing through measures to circumvent the individuals right to privacy, it’s nice to know that their are some service providers like F-Secure that allow citizens to bypass possible backdoors and interception points using encrypted VPN services.

Great VPN from a great company. The VPN is fast and just works.

Easier than many other VPN I’ve used. Ours came bundled with another F-Secure product. My previous VPN (SurfEasy) suddenly was creating problems, so we switched to Nord. Nightmare. Even though I was connected to servers on the East coast (tried many), the TV app changed and was airing me Perth feed. In deperation we remembered having the Freedome and despite online reviews saying it was not much good for streaming, it works GREAT for letting me view Australian TV that I want. I am in Asia.

Great. Just purchased an annual subscription. It's not disconnecting and automatically reconnects every time. I don't need to do anything!

App won't download. App downlod on App store is broken. For such a large company this is pathetic!

A VPN that "feels" good. As a very technical user, I can happily say that there don't seem to be any obvious gotchas with this app, and nothing to indicate misconfigurations, or false claims. I've tried several vendors in the past, all of which have issues, and become unusable over time - usually by simply not allowing a connection or acceptable speed every time I needed it. So far, no problems experienced with either connectivity or performance. It's nice to see an app without false claims of what they can protect, such as acknowledging they can't see into TLS connections to monitor tracking. I know they can't do this and maintain privacy/no logging - and so do they! I'll update the review if anything changes, but as of today, 5 stars are justified.

HELP. I just renewed my subscription but it won’t connect? I pressed restore, deleted and reinstalled etc still won’t work! Please help me ASAP as I’m losing time for the money I have spent

Works well from AU.. Have found F-Secure kit to work well / be worthy of trust for a long time. Would say Freedome is in that same vein.

Good but no cigar. Yes F-Secure have developed an easy to use VPN but unfortunately the complete lack of timely technical support that actually resolved my technical issues means they receive 2 stars. Every time I've asked them a technical question about any of there products they have just pointed me to there forum. Seriously how hard is it to answer a direct question?! It's extremely difficult to get an actually strait answer most of the time. If they dramatically improved there support including offering support via social media they would receive 4.5 stars if that was possible. If the reason why they don't offer support over social media is because they have security concerns about offering support this way they should develop there own app with end to end encryption for live chat with there technical support team. So yes they have produced a VPN that works with the best GUI (Graphical User Interface) out of the many VPN's I've tested and used but that is were it ends.

Melbourne relay is a huge problem. Had this app. for years now and find the Melbourne relay very problematic. Regularly drops out and crashes our wifi network with it. Works fine with OS relays but not Australian ones. Sorry, moving on!

Connection to Melbourne server dropping out. More times than I can count while connected to the Melbourne server it keeps dropping out. I asked last year if they had any plans to add more Australian servers and was told we will pass your request on. I asked the same question recently and was told exactly the same thing! Australia is such a large country we need a server for each state and territory the distance between Melbourne and the Northern Territory is 3,751 km etc. I’m sure you get the idea.

Terrible!. No control. Either fully on or fully off - no ability to whitelist. Continually blocked internet and remote sites. Will be removing from iPhone, Mac and PC.

Excellent product. I've been using VPN technology since quite some time now. I don't want to mention other vendors here for any remarks, however, with most popular VPNs I've faced connection issues to most of the global servers. With Freedome I've had no connection issues or speed drops whatsoever. However I'd like to rate 1 star less for not having a server in India :) else would have been a 5 star from me!! Cheers!

Great VPN. I have been using F-Secure Freedome VPN for over 6 years. I have always found it reliable and it works great. The price is also very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Review. They say they support family sharing on the App Store. But unable to share because on their website they say it is uncotpatible with family sharing.

Poor connection quality. Using the paid version for iPhone 5c connection errors are frequent and even reported by the app itself. High latency and noticeable slow down in internet connection speed even when using some of the closest servers. Reconnecting to server can take several minutes. Some Canadian servers appear to be blocked by certain websites. Reported all to Support but just got an auto reply. The desk top version of this VPN is good but for iOS you would be better off with something else.

If you're looking for an affordable VPN.. Get this one! It has an amazing app design and it does the job. I am not a Netflix watcher. However, I did change my location to the US and got access to US Netflix. It doesn't have as many servers as other VPNS. Though, it has good reviews when it comes to securing your information. They are located in Finland. I use freedome on my phone and computer.

Good VPN. I use all the time and everything seems to work well. There are a couple of exceptions. One of my weather apps won’t play videos when VPN is active and IKEA.ca pages don’t quite work. The drop down menus on the IKEA pages don’t function until I turn the VPN off. Once they are working I can turn the VPN back on and the menus carry on correctly. I am using the English Canadian IKEA web pages and my VPN is set to be in Toronto.

Doesn’t work for Netflix. Did not show any improvement over my last ad blocker on Safari speed. If I were to pay for a VPN I’d rather use one that works for Netflix, which this doesn’t.

Freedome - from tracking attempts&harmful sites. Had malware on iPhone 5s eliciting messages to "call Apple". When called # individual answered "Tech Support". Was suspicious (as already experienced this with pc) so knew to give no access to iPhone but hang up and immediately search for protection. Since I loaded Freedome 5 days ago - no more messages to "call Apple" freezing iPhone, 3,281 tracking attempts blocked, 15 harmful sites blocked and constant traffic protection in place. Freedome is amazing!

Must have!!. My phone was iPhone was hacked last week. I downloaded freedom the next day, worth every penny. As the app has already blocked over 100 unknown sites trying to follow me, and I website that was unsafe. Well worth the the download and it’s very easy set up which is a bonus.

So Easy!. Simple, utterly reliable VPN. Tried another vpn, a huge nightmare- lost connection, slow laggy internet, came back to Freedome!

Signal strength?. Could not get this app to detect signal strength. The only thing I wanted it to do!

Keeps dropping on iPad. I have this on my iPad and iPhone. For some reason the VPN keeps dropping on my iPad but remains connected on my iPhone. The interface is nice indicating the protection it provides. Do not know how to test if it is in fact working.

It doesn’t work at all in China. VPN doesn’t work at all in China, and if you’ve used for more than 30 days you won’t get a refund. I will not recommend this VPN.

Stopped connecting. It worked once since I bought it . Now it doesn’t connect at all to any server. I tried deleting and reinstalling, tried to visit it’s community discussions, still not working

Works well.. It meets my needs and is not intrusive. It does not slow down my iPhone.

Perfect on iOS. I tried PIA, but it just could not maintain a connection on iOS. Freedome is perfect, days and days without a hitch or a leak.

Good when it works. Inertia let my subscription renew. Drops connections too often. Will be replacing no later than subscription expiry.

Shuts iPhone X down. Had it for years, but does NOT work with iPhone 10. It will shut down ALL data for iPhone X WIFI and cellular. You think u can shut it down by turning off VPN In settings? NO! Shut down the app? NO. Don’t use it, will shut you down!!!!!!

Keeps Crushing. Was working great until about 2 months ago. Then it began disconnecting, crushing necessitating to reboot. Problem occurs both on PC and on iPhone. Wasting tremendous time trying to re-connect and use my devices. Worst of all is that when VPN service is not working you lose all functionality of PC or iPhone.

Turns Itself Off Continuously!. No idea why this app has become so unstable. Starting to regret renewing it last month.

WI-FI speeds reduced.. WI-FI speeds reduced by 40% when using Xfinity speed test. On some occasions the upload fails to start. Turning Freedome off resolves speed issues. Overall app appears to work properly

More free days please. Only less than a week? This is the only app that actually works for unblocking school apps and it lasts for so little. Please make it longer.

It bot super good. So i use it to play roblox bc it banned but it always turns off while im playing and always takes forever to turn on

It’s OK. Installed and used this VPN when I was traveling in the UK. It didn’t work with Disney+. It didn’t work with HBO Max. Many streaming services have just gotten too smart for these VPNs to work properly.

DOESNT WORK DONT BUY. I'd give it a negative -5 stars if I could!!! Installed on iPhone iOS 10 when turn it on can't connect to ANYTHING. TOTALLY worthless. Then they say you can cancel and get a refund but there is NO way to do that or any link to do it!! RIPOFF

Best vpn app. I think it's the best app that you could use.

Money. I do not recommend this von because you have to pay money in order to use it. Others like Hotspot shield offer a free VPN. Do not waste you money on this app

Slows your phone. Slows your phone too much to want to use it. Don’t forget to cancel before they charge you another $32 and you’re in to dog crap you don’t use for $64. Don’t be a loser like me. Avoid or at least cancel this app ASAP.

I think the eclipse has screwed up this app. I can't get on any wifi as long as I have the Freedome app on either my iPad or iPhone. What's going on , Freedome? I think your latest update has screwed things up royally!

The best security in Cyberville. Freedome is solid as a frozen lake in Finland in the middle of winter. No need to go fishing, you will never drill through the ice!

Great once, then they cancelled paid subscription.. I have continued problems getting Freedome to honor my paid subscription. Their Help and Community are worthless. They blame Apple but my records are in order there. They just took my money and ran.

Connection Status shows 100 Mbps. I works on my PC, iPads, and MacBook. No problems, just wish it supported 1000 Mbps connections as we have FIOS 895 Mbps service.

Hard to get a connection.. No support. Frequently unable to get a connection.

Stays offline most of the time. Constantly stops the connection. Have to turn off or switch locations to work. Makes the device’s connection unreliable. I don’t plan to renew.

Falsely says my subscription has expired. The app says my subscription is expired, but it has six months left. There is no way to log out and back in, and even uninstalling doesn’t purge the configuration.
