Much easier than reading print edition. Good easy to read layout

Can’t sign in. I pay for subscriber content but the app won’t let me sign in. Update: I emailed Gannett support as the developer suggested and I never got a response. My sign-in credentials are still not recognized by the app which means I pay for content I cannot access. I have since given up and deleted the app. Too bad.

Review. Overall a fan and daily reader of Florida Today. I love the local perspective and detailed info. As a subscriber, I’m not a fan of the many distracting advertisements. Many development stories also lack an environmental impact perspective.

Great Local Paper. with hard working journalists!

Broken since the last update!. All I get is old news since the last update.

My go to App. We just moved here to Florida 8 months ago and this is is the first app I go to for news and space news. We’re big into the space launches and this tells us everything we need to know.

Zero Stars. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Florida today has gone down hill an extreme amount, too much fake news and misleading headlines. The people running their social media sites are incredibly unprofessional and are clearly amateurs. And they actually expect you to pay for their garbage online articles that you can read anywhere else for free. It’s a complete joke. Don’t bother subscribing or paying unless you like wasting your money.

Works flawlessly, up to date news!. The best news for Florida and national news with a focus on Brevard County which for me is a bonus!

Epaper is horrible!!!. I travel quite a bit & try & read the electronic version with no success. I’m signed in but when I try to read articles, it says it’s for subscribers only, which I am. Very frustrating!!!

Can’t access e-newspaper in USA after returning from Spain. When in Spain last month I was unable to access the Florida Today e-newspaper on my iPhone or iPad, ok, understandable I guess, although I was able to access it my first day there. (I also was able to access the e-newspaper in Italy in May.) But now that I’m back home in the USA, I still can’t access my e-newspaper on my iPhone or iPad. I have turned them off, back on, deleted the app and reinstalled it, reset network settings, all to no avail. Even requested support from Apple, nothing helped. Why do my iPhone and iPad think I’m still outside the USA?

Question. Why am I getting alerts for Brevard??? Did not sign up for it

I am canceling. I have become increasing dissatisfied with your content. As an example, you’ve given far too much time to the activist that was fired over her COVID data. It’s too emotional and lacks newsworthy facts. You have given too much credence on just her account of the situation. You have drifted more and more to liberal issues and only given conservative issues cursory lip service. As a liberal might say “I am greatly offended”

Stable app, good source of local news. The app works well, and I can now get my local news on my iPad.

App not good as before. The new App format on my iPhone is terrible compared to the previous one. It has annoying pop up ads constantly and the page arrows are huge blocking a lot of the page content.

Love my Florida Today. Every morning I love getting my Florida Today newspaper, sitting down with a cup of coffee and feeling the newspaper in my hands, catching up on the latest news. Carol Ellis

Annoying. You’re very annoying with the forced to subscribe page that keeps popping up when I try to read an article. The next time it happens I am unsubscribing completely from this site.

Great at First. I think darn sad that you are wanting to charge money NOW when many have no money coming in and everyone is just trying to stay in the know of what is happening throughout the county and the state and the country. Do you really care about people or the Almighty Dollar? Think about it!!!!!

Push alerts are obnoxious. In my settings I only have breaking news turned on. I still get all of the sports posts which are annoying and also stupid stuff like Trump whining about something. Not breaking news!

We Love Our Hometown Paper!. We’ve subscribed to Florida Today for 23 years, and have really enjoyed the app and online content — as long as it’s been available. Space news, the environment, and local politics are covered well, and we are thankful for good coverage.

Can’t read anything. You used to have I believe 50 free articles to read a month now it’s literally one. I’ve seriously only been able to read one article a months since about November. I can go on their website and read it fine so why can’t I read it on my app? I don’t really have the extra money to subscribe and I really don’t want too. I guess unless your willing to dish out money you don’t get to know what’s going on in your community.

Daily Florida Today app user. Under iOS 12 it worked very smoothly. After updating to iOS 13 it crashes 2 to 4 times per time reading an edition. It also “loses” the password. Does the same on my iPad. We can only hope someone is busy updating the app.

Can’t access my account to report subscription problem. The paper has not been delivered. There is no way to go to my account on this app. I can sign in but can’t do business.

Excellent source of local news. My wife & I are moving to Viera from the Charleston SC area. Florida Today is filled with news, food reviews, local government information along with a bunch of additional items. Subscribing is cheap & worth every dollar of the subscription price. I love that there is no bias in their reporting. I would encourage readers to subscribe to the best news regarding Brevard county!

Fl today on iPad. I’ve worked with Fl Today to try to get my digital subscription on my iPad to no avail. The opinions come in 2days old and the news is sketchy without the digitized version that is available only on my computer.

Solid reporting that doesn’t feel slanted!. Happy to have found reliable local & state news. As new homesteaders, we aren’t familiar with a lot of organizations and destinations here in Melbourne.

Online limited. Very limited online stories compared to print version.

Be careful. If you subscribe, make sure you do it through Apple so that you can cancel easily. I did through Florida Today site and have been unable to get my subscription canceled. Shouldn’t be so difficult!

Indispensable!. Being a new come here resident this app is keeping up informed and up to date!

Complaint. Apparently, the software has been changed so that I can no longer select items such a the jumble word, cryptoquip, and crossword puzzles to be printed. This is very disturbing. I get up early every morning and look forward to this. I have been printing and working 4 puzzles every day. And would like to continue. I have been a subscriber since the newspaper was started.

Useful news about the Brevard County area.. I like the timely articles that appear during the day. The alerts can be helpful too.

Great local, relevant news. Good coverage of local news and important issues. Substantive coverage of the problems with the Indian River Lagoon and excellent job keeping us informed about hurricanes. Strong reporters who work hard to get the real story, and get it right.

New version bug?. Had been working fine, but now both this and TCPalm app keep asking me to subscribe with “offers” and— intolerably— full screen pop ups that I have to manually close. I AM an annual paid subscriber and am logged in. Obviously a bug but no response so far from developer. Would be five stars otherwise.

Florida Today app. Great app. The weather alerts are very helpful as well as the timely news alerts that give pertinent news of local events. Thank you.

Subscription bait and switch. There is a Thanksgiving special to get the app 3 months for $2.99. When I clicked on it, it reconfirmed the price of $2.99 for 3 months. When it went to the App Store to complete the purchase, it said to confirm for $7.99. I reluctantly clicked confirm, hoping that it meant the price after the 3 months were up. The purchase was denied due to insufficient funds. I had $7 in my account, which means it tried to charge me the $7.99 rather than the advertised price of 3 months for $2.99. Fortunately for me, I am not out money and cheated, but this needs to be fixed! How many others were charged for this? This is deceptive and dishonest!

So frustrated!. You make it absolutely impossible to locate where to cancel your subscription. I’ve clicked every link in every section and nothing leads me to canceling my subscription. iTunes says I have no subscription yet i see a charge today in my account! Ridiculous!

Not worth the effort. There is much more to Florida than Brevard County, to bad your reporters can’t report on other parts of Florida!

Newbie Kinks?. It’s getting annoying that the app doesn’t seem to know I’m a subscriber when I reopen it, and my sidebar still knows I’m logged in. Keep getting .99 subscription prompts…

Florida Today app lame. Every time I try to restore my subscription link to this app it hangs and never completes. Very frustrating to try to read stories and be blocked because it does not acknowledge my subscription.

Excellent articles with responsible coverage. Florida Today is doing a fine job with local as well as national coverage.

Too expensive and biased. Where are the college football scores? There is a group titled CFB but no recognizable colleges. What happened to the NCAA category??? Also, The subscription rate for specials is good but when it expires, the rates go up quite a bit. But the worst part is that they go up a few times a year. It’s also becoming a liberal leaning paper. It’s a news company—just give the news (and all of it) without a slant.

So aggravating. This app CONSTANTLY asks me to activate my account. It has me signed in, but never lets me get to any articles. Chat support was painfully slow (up to ten minutes between responses), and they didn’t have any useful troubleshooting.

Love getting the mobile news. We travel a lot and it's great that we are able to keep up with the Florida today on our mobile devices and see what's going on at home. I hope they don't change anything as far as mobile devices we are getting all the information and updates about what's going on around us. Keep up the good work

Broken in IOS 14 and iPadOS 14. Since upgrading to both OS 14s, this app crashes on opening.

Florida today. Terrible app. Wants to charge you for COVID and Hurricane updates in our local area. Things like this should be a PSA. I’ll never spend a dime for this service

Nightmare’s. Have participated in home delivery for 40+ years. I’m reaching my limit with the attempts to force me to utilize online reading of the news. Might as well just watch television.

You can’t get the front page no matter what you click! It’s stupid!. That’s it

Need A Search Option. The mobile version needs a Search option. Sometimes it's difficult to determine which section to look in and other times the one option you're looking for is not a choice. I read the print newspaper and sometimes I find a picture or article I want to post on Facebook. A Search option would make that easier. Would have given more stars if there were a Search option.

Last update. Last update sucked. I can’t look at any stories get message that I am over for the month. I deleted app and just added internet homepage to my home screen. This App should be better!

Can’t see today’s paper. I wish it had the option to just see today’s paper.

Thanks for getting rid of the pop-ups!. Reading the paper online is so much better now that the annoying pop-ups are gone. I used to curse FT when I'd start reading an article only to have it suddenly move down and out of view so that I could be made aware of a car or flooring company. Trust me when I say that subscribers appreciate reading. If we wanted commercials, we'd watch TV.

Great local news. I’m enjoying this app

Excellent for keeping up to date with local happenings. Florida today newspaper is my local newspaper. This app is a great asset in helping me keep up with things that are happening in the area. For example, if there is an accident that shuts down part of the interstate, I'm notified and can plan accordingly. In all, I greatly enjoy having this app on my iPhone.

Crossword. You repeated the same crossword Monday and Tuesday. The solution you printed was from a week ago. What exactly is your problem! We pay more and get fewer papers!🤮

Recurring charge after canceled. I’ve had to dispute this charge every month for almost a year, stop charging my account that I’ve unsubscribed from for more than 2 years

Needs iOS 14 update. App keeps crashing. Please update to iOS 14.

Broken in iPadOS 14. After updating the iPad this app crashes every time it’s launched. Deleted and reinstalled too. Still crashes.

Terrible. I paid for a year and downloaded the app and I’m unable to read the full stories. I want a refund.

User friendly. Really like format of Florida Today app. It is easy to access & covers important goings on in Brevard county as well as other Florida news. I'm older & not computer savvy so for me to say "easy to use" is exactly that. I look forward to getting my iPad each morning and reading Florida Today. I also like the breaking news alerts throughout the day.
