Works great. It works great for me, the delay appears to be somewhere around a second. Ultimately not that bad... For anyone wanting to know how to actually connect to the camera after you add it on wifi like I was all you have to do is hit the big blue plus button in app then select camera. This will start the connection. This took my camera(sj m20) about 4 seconds.

Good but.... The app is good and has an okay UI. It can be a little frustrating at times, like when I want all of my videos so I have to separately save all of them to my camera roll one by one. This takes AGES to do and sometimes it doesn't even save! Please fix these bugs. Another complaint is that my SJ6 Legend doesn't connect on my phone but ONLY connects to my iPad! Why is this??? It gets annoying so I'm going to give this 4 stars for the good planned out app, but it has many bugs to fix ASAP!

Terrible app for camera control. I want an app for controlling and viewing my camera NOT a social media app with ads. The default mode for the app is for viewing and commenting on other people's SJCAM pictures that it so generously uses your bandwidth to download. To view or control your camera you tap the unintuitive + button. With this version, I can't figure out how to download pictures to my phone and view after disconnecting the camera.

New interface. After most recent update, the app has a different layout. It took me a few minutes to learn the new look but it works fine after I uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Needs improvement. I'm loving the SJ4000 but the app is severely lacking power. I've only been able to connect the camera twice to the app. Once on my cousins phone (almost instantaneously) and after an entire day of struggling to connect to my phone. I really want to utilize the app and camera for all its worth. Please, please fix the connection issues.

Worked for a few days, now thinks I'm someone else. When I first got my sjcam4000 wi-fi it connected to my iPhone 6s no problem. A week later and it's telling me to log in (which I didn't have to before), so then I registered, but then it thought I was someone else (using MY email address). So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, now I can't get the app to do anything.

Doesn’t connect on iPhone X. Tried everything to get it to pair with my iPhone X. SJ8 pro with latest firmware. Works ok with my iPad, though. Definitely not a great app, missing a lot of English translations. What a shame, such amazing hardware, yet such terrible software.

Updated: Cannot connect to SJCAM 10 Pro. Update: on my iPhone it detected no internet through the SJCAM WiFi (makes sense). Once I turned off cellular it allowed network traffic through the WiFi and the app could connect. I’d recommend the app devs try and resolve this in the app if possible or at least offer this suggestion in the troubleshooting steps. No matter what I do I cannot get this app to connect to my SJCAM. I’ve tried reinstalling it, verify the WiFi connection, and given the app all the permissions it needs. Will update review if an update resolves these issues.

Paid extra for wifi but is it necessary?. Ok wifi connection works good with IOS 9. iPhone 5S however, it saved videos in the beginning but, now I'm getting a error that video is not long enough. I have a 15 minute video and saved shorter videos too and I'm getting the same error. What's the use of getting the wifi version and pay extra if the only way to access videos is through camera or usb to PC.

App is as bad as the camera. Like everybody else, I tried to save a few bucks buying an SJCam instead of a GoPro. Big mistake. App doesn't work, wifi doesn't work, camera is useless. Random 10 sec clips is all it does. And, the app has never worked. Buy a GoPro. You'll save more money in the end rather than buying cheap Chinese junk over and over.

It works but screwed everything up. So it works great. It's really cool. Until I went to Hawaii and took amazing videos and had downloaded them onto my phone without the knowledge of it deleting from my camera. So I had deleted the app without the knowledge that all of my stuff would be lost. So now I have nothing to show from my amazing trip because there is no warning that it deletes everything

Sj4000 wifi connection problems (Please fix. After this new update I can’t load my camera to the app ????? Please bring back the perilous versions off the app....

App crashed. The latest update causes the app to crash. iOS 12.0.1 iPad & iPhone

Update fixed the connection error. App works great and connects like it should pretty fast. It seems if an update doesn't work they come out with an update to fix it within a couple days. Great camera quality!!!

WiFi needs work. SJ6 Legend cam won’t connect to my iPhone 7plus using the sjcam zone app although I updated the firmware to 1.4.9. Live view won’t work just a black screen.

Does that work with C 100+. Does not work with C 100+. Every time I tried to connect or make changes to the camera settings, the app would disconnect. Don’t know about other models but if you’re considering buying a C 100+, do not waste your time or money. I went through two of them before figuring out it was more than just a small quirk

Weak. Seems like a kids toy. Works about that good too. Both app and camera leave a lot to be desired. Will be returning. Biggest thing is you can’t control zoom from the app, so much for remote access!

Glitchy rotation and unresponsive settings on iPhone 6s. Functionally, it's good in portrait mode, but when I rotate my screen, the layout glitches super bad, and it won't recover without restarting the app once that's done. Also, under settings in the app, video lapse set and capture mode are completely unresponsive. I'm on an iPhone 6s running iOS 9.

Horrible app. The old lad SJW cam app was like gold compared to this one... not only does it not let you register but when you try to register with your Instagram or Twitter or Facebook I’d and password, it says it did it but you still cannot log into the app! Really guys, get it together over there where ever you are! It’s reasons like this that make spending the extra $$$ for a GoPro worth it...

Works great! No problems.. I can not believe all the negative reviews. This app actually works better then the goPro app (I also have a Hero4 Silver). 1. make sure the Wi-Fi is enabled on on the camera. 2. Then go to wi-fi settings on phone and select the SSID of your camera and establish a connection. 3. Open the app and click "connect to camera". This may take up to 45 seconds. 4. Be aware that if your power settings are set to turn off the camera after a specified period this can terminate a Wi-Fi session.

OLD APP IS BETTER! NEW APP HANGS!!. The old app (SJ versatile) is way better than this SJCAM zone.. this new app, when connected to the camera it lags.. the app doesn't follow the movement of sjcam in short it hangs up.. when trying to access the pictures on your sd card, you can't view it. If you refreshed, the pictures doesn't show up. all you can see is a blank white screen.. can u pls fix this error asap? Thanks

Unstable, unfinished. This app is unfinished, full of errors and it's not working well at the time of writing this review (7th May 2021). Also, camera SJ10PRO is not on the list. My camera died at second day of use, it shows "busy", can't even turn off except by pulling out battery. I'm sending back this crp and buying GoPro.

Horrible. It doesn’t connect with the SJ7 Star V.1.20. Really really annoying, I’m going to send the product back, that’s so sad

Unstable. The app lock up between photo and camera mode. I do like the new time lapse feature now on my M10. The app itself is not smooth operation. Also it will be great if it will auto reconnect on wifi instead of going to setting every time. Also possible adding a 5sec timer for selfie on my M10 then it will be perfect. Almost there! It can be a 5 stars app if it is refined.

Works Well. I have used this app with my SJcam SJ4000 and with the M10 and it works well. Be sure to connect to it with your Wifi and then go to app to connect with the camera. I recommend it. Only wish the maker of the SJ cameras had more into on their product. But the app works.

Update please to support new IPhone C200. Can you update the app to support it on newer iPhones and for the C200? It will connect, and then the camera image will not show on the app. After a while, it will disconnect

Updated: Needed to delete and re-download after update. Updated: Previously I wrote: “Doesn’t work at all on my iPad or iPhone running os 12.0.1. Just crashes instantly.” However, I found a workaround. I deleted the app completely and then re-downloaded it from the App Store. Then, on the SJcam, I changed the SID name and password for it’s WiFi. Then I reconnected to the SJcam using the new WiFi information. Now everything is working fine.

Can not connect (SJ4000 +iPhone 6s). I have SD card in camera, Connected in wifi Settings but the app can not connect to the camera!

App does not work. The application is super buggy and disconnect immediately and there is no support for the product. Try to leave a less than favorable review on the site and it will not post. Would not ever buy again!!

Just Got the Camera and downloaded the App.. As someone said, it keeps closing the camera connection to the wifi. The fix is to go to settings>cellular>SJCAM and turn off cellular data for the app and not the main cellular to the phone. Then when you reconnect, the app will ask to enable cellular data but ignore it. I will give 5 star for now as I am getting to know the app and have no real reason to give less right now.

Won’t connect to my sj6 legend. I tried to delete it and re download the app multiple times but it won’t connect to my camera.

Connects but no video or image. The app is able to connect, you can see camera settings, however video or images don’t. All permissions have been given. Please improve app. Also fix C200 Gyro On settings as it barely improves anything.

Doesn't load the live view. On my iPhone 7s plus the live view mode doesn't work, it takes for ever to load and stays in a black screen, the other functions work well but i would like to see what i am recording a the moment( angle and position) please fix and would give 5 stars because its an excellent app

Awesome. The new design of the app was awesome!! It made everything more easier...only problem was that you had to restart the app to view the live feed...other than that, it was good!

Works as Expected. For the knockoff price you get the knockoff app. Works well enough. Had to install firmware from an SD card to my sj6 legend to get it to work. Been solid since then. Ui is pretty weird but it does everything I'd want. One feature request: download all content from device to phone. This would save me time for the one action I need this app for

Logged me out. It does not work well with iPhones at all. I had experiences with me being logged out and not allowing me to log back in. Please fix the app

Language. How can you change the language on the app

It’s to have. I’d suggest this as a staple on anyone who uses this on a vacation or trip because it’s really nice for reviewing clips and pictures. I just wished I had tutorial to show me all the really cool features and controls for my camera remotely.

App crashes instantly. Running on iPhone XR with iOS 12.1.2, the app crashes immediately after opening. Without the app I would have to transfer the video to a computer! Please fix this issue!

Put an SD card in the camera. For those complaining that it's not connecting, try putting an SD card in the camera. It's not intuitive but you can't connect the app without an SD card in the camera. Once I did that it connected in a snap. Also you have to be sure you're usingh an actual SJCAM brand camera (it should say SJCAM on the front. It has a bit of lag but no more (and possibly less) than the GoPro app that works with "real" GoPros. I'm very happy with my SJCAM for the price and this app does its job.

Stuck stuck stuck. When using the app, the picture mirrored was ok at first when the camera is lowered. But when the camera is raised, the mirrored image will stuck until the camera is lowered again. The image is still captured although the mirrored image is stuck but it is useless because you cannot see the image before it is taken.

Need to update. Is it possible to give zero stars? I understand I bought the sjcam for a cheap price, but why does the app have issues?!?!? When I open the app, it takes minutes for it to stop lagging and to catch up to the camera's view. In addition, when I am trying to download the video to transfer to my iphone, it takes an hour or doesnt work at all? Can someone please help me with this issue? Could it be the Micro SD card I am using? This app is garbage until my problem is solved.

WiFi does not work!. Very disappointed, I could have bought a much cheaper camera if I knew I had go fetch my sd card because WiFi does not work!! What a big disappointment! I am trying to use the sjcam hunting camera

Sj6 legend. This app is horrible it doesn’t work. The video/ photo feed never loads. Very hard to get the WiFi hooked up. Have an iPhone 6s would not recommend this for anyone!!!!

Very very very bad apps after update. I used to like sjcam apps because of their simplicity and pretty straight forward.But after they updated it to sjcamzone, everything is screwed up. I cant connect my camera anymore via wifi because they ask me to register, which i cant even do that, due to error everytime i tried to register. Very dissapointing

V3.1 Update killed the app. V3 worked fine, but after update SJCAM ZONE freezes every time now after a few screen taps. Tested on iPhone 4S, iPhone 6, iPad mini.

app doesn’t work for c200. The overall functionality of the camera is diminished by the app. -The app frequently crashes - particularly when trying to update settings. -The video and photo cannot be seen in the top portion of the viewer. I hope this can be fixed- it could be such a great camera and app combo. But given the similar comments dating back 6 years I doubt this will be fixed in the future.

Won't connect on iPhone 5s. I tried many times but it just keep connecting to wifi. Have restarted my iPhone 5s and the sjcam but still won't connect to sjcam wifi. Please fix it!

Was a great app before update. After the new update I really don't know how to transfer the videos I want, once connected it transferred 315 photos and videos to my phone but it's missing many. I also cannot see what's on my screen anymore. Liked the old update, thanks

Hate the new version with "Social" function. Please just give me back the previous version. I do not need any "social" features; i do not wish to publish any of my pics/vids to your "sjcam zone". All i need is just what you had before - a way to view what i'm filming on my smartphone screen via Wifi. I don't wish to register for your account and find it extremely annoying that you are forcing me to do that, to login, before I can access the "camera" feature on the new app. Very very disappointing!! 😡

SJ5000x does not connect. I've had this problem since I bought the camera despite the recent updates! The photos and videos show up as grey boxes on the app and never load so I'm unable to transfer them! Put my memory card in a friends M20 and the app works fine! Please fix this asap

Cannot connect my cam. You need wifi to connect cam and also to connect to the app but i cannot do both at the same time, i dont have datas activated on my phone. Why they dont offer both version, old 4.0 or 3.2 and the new one? I am not interested in sharing pictures and videos enough is enough...

M10 wifi. This app is not good for what I bought this camera for. I can't view downloaded video on my phone or tablet anymore. Used to be able to store video on the devices hard drive. Now I have to transfer onto my pc through sd card reader. Not convenient any more. Should be able to run the older version if you choose. Please bring back the original version. It wasn't broken.

Don’t Do It!!!. Been trying to use SJcams now for a couple years. Its a world of frustration! The app continuously crashes. Drops wifi. Videos or pics will not upload to my iPhone using the app. The camera appears like it has potential to be something great but it isn’t. I did manage to upload a video once but I think the stars were aligned with a solar eclipse and the lunar pull of the moon created the perfect atmosphere to get this app to work!!!!

M-10. Not working at all

It doesn't work!. I just downloaded this app, and it doesn't seem to work, I can't connect my cam, can't download my pics! Please fix it or go back to the other app!

limited functions, slow. = no support for 4k when using 5000x with this app = no thumbnails cache for reviews before playing or download = file list only, no other detail = thumbnails wont generate until reading thru whole clip = confusion control button/indicator (is it recording or not?)

Why do I need to log in to connect to the camera?. This new version is terrible. You can't connect to the camera without creating a login. You also get all this new sharing crap that's completely useless. Why do I need to login to this new service before I can connect to my camera??? You can't connect to Camera and the Internet at the same time.

Finally!!!. This update has actually made this app useful, and also had made my SJ5000WiFi function much better. The app no longer drops communication with the camera causing it to reboot while recording. The media sharing is cool too. This app now looks like some time and maybe even some money has gone into this project. Maybe now I will get the camera out more than once a year.

Language. How do I get change the language within the App to English?

It’s a simple app. It’s a simple app but it works. I like how you can view video’s over wifi without downloading to your device. (I think an older version you had to transfer it to your device first) There’s some latency in live view but it’s not terrible. For those who aren’t seeing it in English, delete the app and reinstall. Worked for me.

Original version needed. It's now impossible to see my M10+ I was able to connect to my cam with the version 3.2. Please listent to your customers and keep the original version 3.2 to control the camera. Make an other app for your social sharing idea.

Download. It says my photos have been downloaded into my phone but I can't find anything in the photo album.

A mess. Mixing a functional app with a social media app may sound good on paper. But this is a mess. Hard to navigate and find what you need at a moments notice. Please revert back to the old app.

Not good. In order to watch any videos you have to download the video and it takes a long time to do that and it takes up a lot of storage on your phone.

Keeps freezing. App freezes and doesn't work when camera is connected

WASTE OF MONEY. When we purchased the cam we really need the phone app for this, at first the app is quite functioning but still not the best one. Then, the App updated and everything went hell. I have to re download the App! It keeps crashing and its such a waste of money to purchase the item with the dumb app! fix everything on it! #planningtosellmysjcam

Not working. iTunes description says it supports the 5000+ camera. It doesn't. Digging into the developers website is says the app doesn't work with the 5000+

You must log in to use App!?. Now you need to log in or connect to a 3rd party social media account. It used to be a good product, trying to add "too much". SJCam dev team, remember this: "Less is better!" Please learn a lesson from Yahoo. They used to be the #1 search engine, until they started adding weather, sports, all the "extra" stuff, and yet Google just kept the simple, white interface with one dialogue box. So today, would rather be part of the Yahoo team? or the Google team? Seriously. First and foremost, you need to go back to a more simple, user-friendly interface. Regards,

Junk app. Sadly we need this app for our cameras. I hate the fact that it's gone to a social media app. I just want to manage the camera and files. Also this version says it allows OTA firmware updates, but I don't see that option anywhere.

Awful. Several features are added that cater to the social sharing and prevent you from managing the camera until you log in.

Update 4.0. I can't even access the camera with the app now. Shows its connected but that's all. No record or view on the phone.

NO CONNECTION & not saving files! Worst update & app!. Update: it does not save any files to my photo app!!! Do you even test these updates?!!! Jeezzzz!!! Come on guys, this is not even an iOS worthy app. Lagging, layout of the app is hilarious. Who made this?! & with the latest update it won't connect anymore with my sj4000 wifi!!! Regret buying this camera. While the quality isn't bad and the pictures and videos come out pretty exceptional, their apps are horrible. I can't connect my camera to the app whatsoever and if it does happen to connect it takes 5+ minutes to do so. I wish I would have saved up for the GoPro instead.

Pictures not downloading, among other things. This app is not working properly with iOS 9. It says it downloaded the pictures but no place to be found. Also, after reading the Micro SD card in my Mac is not recognize by the camera anymore. The connexion is very laggy.

Doesn't save to Camera Roll. Nice features. But it would be nicer if you could save it automatically on the camera roll. I'd give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ when that happens on the next update. Thanks.

Doesn't work. I tried on both an iPhone 6 and an iPad Air. I can here it but the video freezes and the same picture shows through the whole video. This with the camera 4 ft away from my phone.

BAD UPDATE!!!!!. DO NOT UPDATE. The video plays through the app with a few jitters. But when you go to watch the clips they cut out within 19sec. The audio continues but the clip goes black after 19seconds. Without the app the whole clip saves. I wish I had bought a GoPro. Last SJcam I buy.

2 star. Giving it a 2 star because I can't preview the videos/photos. Would have to select a "file" to view what was recorded/taken. Very frustrating to connect it to computer or download to phone. Need a better system to upload easier. Cmon, it's 2015. We shouldn't have this issue.

Update Removes Offline View. Updated and now it requires you to connect to the camera. The old version let you view your downloaded pictures and videos without connecting to the camera. Please fix this ASAP.

Zoom while using wifi for next update. So far so good. Need to be able to zoom from the app.

CRASHES AFTER CONNECTION. It's fine until I hit the connect button. After I click view my files it crashes. Please fix this because I paid extra for wifi and I can't get the pictures I took into my phone :/

Terrible App. I was very frustrated when I learned that I had to create an account just to use this app with my M10+ camera. Worse, when I use the app to preview what I am recording, the camera resets to its default settings without warning. The GoPro app blows this one away!

Sjcam app. This App good for Sjcam4000 No need to use the cam setting anymore in this app you can record, change the setting, turn off cam. So far so good

Terrible App Won't Keep Running. Very Unreliable App. Keeps Force Closing. Cannot be trusted on my important video. I should have paid the extra $75 for the real thing (Hero). The M10 is also lacking big time in quality. Breaks easily...

Does not work and lag!. I'm able to use it on my iPad that is using IOS 8 and it works but there is a 1 sec lag that is annoying. Please fix and make an update for IOS 9! ASAP!

Stopped working on the update. I can't seem to get the camera to connect to my phone and iPad .. Hoping it gets fixed ASAP Love the camera

Late respond. Thanks for the new updates. Please update regards on taking photos, late respond and syncing to my m10+. Sometimes it got stocks.

Can't save pictures onto phone. Isn't that the whole point of this app and it doesn't even work 🙄

Latest update is nothing but noise. The entire app is seemed to be more of an interaction with other people's content rather then your own. I can't move my own data to my phone anymore. Very frustrating.

Buggy and.... It's buggy. Can't get a solid connection. Lost the power off from phone function. When you want to save video to your phone, you need to stay connected to SJCAM. The plus side, easier to download and delete photos and videos.

Not Working. After updating to this latest version, it can no longer connect to my SJ5000 wifi. I have tried deleting the app and installing again, still doesn’t work.

Suggestions. Hi I bought 1 sj4000 its all good but updating is a little bit hard wish I could update th camera with this app

Crashes and lags. App crashes multiple times when viewing photos and wasn't able to download a video to view without a crash and getting kicked out. Also it lags, very slow.

iPhone. Sometimes is works other times it crashes lol .

:/. Old app was better this one won't even load my videos just says loading until my camera crashes too. since I have so many I guess idk old app was great open load download! Quick!!

WORST UPDATE!!!. Before the update, i am having a VERY HARD TIME using this application. It's always lagging when i'm trying to take a picture using this app. I CANNOT USE THIS PROPERLY EVER SINCE. Now, I was expecting that this issue will be fixed because of the recent update. BUT, IT BECAME WORST!!! THIS APP CANNOT CONNECT TO MY SJ. Please Fix this issues and do not make useless updates.

Sj4000 Wi-Fi won't connect to iPhone. IOS 9 came out, sjcam had an update on the 22nd. Now the device will not connect to iPhone. Functioning ok otherwise. Wi-Fi signal phone picks up no problem. Camera will not connect to app.
