Different and refreshing. I'm a big fan of this game. Calling it a game is tricky because it is more of a story you interact with and direct. It reminds me a lot of Your Pizza Adventure, which is similar but a movie. This isn't a game for people who like shoot'em ups or the defense games, but let's be honest there are billions of those out there. Instead this is a refreshing look at how a game and App can be interactive, fun and intriguing. The real enjoyment is the discovery you experience through Taylor's journey. The App plays out in "real time" sort of, meaning that sometimes Taylor goes off to do something and you don't hear from him for a while. This really makes it feel real and adds to the sensation of interacting with a real person. I found myself checking my phone, wondering when I'd hear from him. I definitely think this game is worth a try, you have enough of the redundant other games out there, so why not add one that's different?

Slow (reviewer busy) .......... REALLY slow.. Okay, I'm a VERY old school gamer, and when I read that this was a 'text adventure' game I got VERY excited, as I was hoping for something similar to what I'd played in my youth. This is NOT that. For all I know, the story may eventually become interesting. It's difficult to tell, because I've been playing it for two days and literally nothing has happened. The biggest problem is that Taylor, the character you're communicating with and directing, will actually give you maybe 5-10 lines of dialogue (mostly involving whining about his situation) and then.... go away. To walk, or eat, or whatever. And he will be gone for HOURS. So you wait, and go do other things in your life - except PLAY THE GAME YOU PAID FOR. Because until Taylor comes back, there's nothing you can do. Then he returns to give 5-10 more lines of whiny dialogue, and you will need to make a random decision that has no visible immediate outcome. Then Taylor goes away again for an hour or so. And you go do other things too. To be honest, I wouldn't even classify this as a game. Its not engaging, and so far not even entertaining. Massively frustrating and dull is probably the best description I can give. I do not recommend.

It's immersive. It's a very immersive game. The story is kinda confusing at first but then once you get into it it gets better. I also like the fact where you don't know the time until they message back it makes you think if something bad is Going to happen. The parts where you have to look up things so you know you make the right decision that really adds to the score. The only thing is sometimes I don't think the decisions really are that effective. But overall it's a good game. It's not a interactive game so if you want a intractable game this isn't your game but if your fine with reading and making decisions it's definitely worth your money

Good game but one fatal flaw. This is a great game and entertaining. The story is great and you can actually put yourself into the shoes of the main character. I often thought that I would react in the same ways myself. The only thing I do not like is all the waiting. I can understand the reasoning for it. The character does something and you have to wait for them in real time. It is an awesome concept, BUT you get 4 or 5 small messages then have to wait a few more hours just to get 4 or 5 more small messages then wait another few hours. If there was more talking between the waiting then I would not have a problem with it. I paid 1.99 for this game and have done nothing but wait and wait. Other games employ this tactic such as Timecrest, but they let you buy gems to speed up the time. I would be more than elated to do that with this game. I know after you beat it you can fast forward the waiting, but that should be an option to begin with.

Fun and simple, easy to fit into your day. I really enjoyed this game. It forces you to set it aside while Taylor explores something, which is great for still getting things done outside of the game. Some people don't like it but I had fun with it. And a couple things: Taylor tells you in the beginning s/he isn't a trained astronaut, but a student, so you shouldn't expect that level of competence, or age. You CAN get out alive. Once you've reached an ending for Taylor- death or life - it allows you to go back to change choices or start over, and gives you the choice to play fast, skipping the waiting periods. I died my first time and made it out the second, and used the fast mode just in the endgame. I would consider buying the others.

Great game!!!. I have 5 of the games in the series and I have to say my favorite so far is , infinity the reason being is because you are indoors. And because it's indoors you have limited places to go. So you can imagine it with more detail. When the games are outdoors it is hard to imagine because it is hard to imagine landscape. And, if the games are outdoors most people imagine plain flat land and maybe a mountain or two When you ask them to choose to go to usually a mountain or a human made structure. Another reason I like infinity is because you really get attached to the character Taylor. He is a great protagonist and even a great friend I must admit he even got me emotional at one point. (Not in a crying sense.) but I've finished that game. I really hope this helps you pick a game out of all of the many many lifeline games.

I can’t recommend this game enough.. Heyo! I don’t know if lifeline is still being made, or if it’s left as only something from our pasts for us to cherish, but regardless - these games (if you could even call them that) are some of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. And what I mean by what I said earlier, is, as cheesy and sappy as this is gonna sound, they aren’t ‘games,’ they’re more than that - they’re such amazing experiences. From the actual waiting hours if Taylor is doing something that takes hours (which is so cool and immersive), to the sheer emotional tugging they do on you, it really, REALLY, makes you care what happens to this completely fictional astronaut, and my only complaint is that COME ON AGIYGAHAUB I DIED FOR THE FIRST TIME RIIIIIGHT AT THE END OF THE GAME! LIKE THREE CHOICES AWAY! THAT’S NOT A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE GAME THAT’S A COMPLAINT ABOUT MY POOR DECISION MAKING!! Anyways, now that I’ve vented, totally get this game! I can assure you it’s worth way more that the $0.99 that it costs!!

Mixed feelings. This text-based game (no graphics at all) is essentially "The Martian," only instead of Matt Damon figuring everything out, you have to make decisions for "Taylor." At each point along the way, you choose one of two options to give to Taylor, which he then follows (during which the game goes silent) and then some time later (could be hours) he presents you with another question and set of two options. That's it. The writing is humorous, although Taylor's witty comments get a bit corny and tiresome. I feel the developer is trying a bit too hard. I've been playing for a few days and nothing really exciting has happened. In addition, it's frustrating that you can't ask Taylor for more information at any point; you simply have to choose one of the two canned answers. The music is cool; sufficiently ominous. But after giving Taylor canned answers for a few days, I'm left with little more than a feeling he is one whiny, wimpy astronaut.

Taylor's character is very much like us all. For the past two months I have been going through a rough transition in my life. I was trying to get my mind off of things so I began to play Lifeline during downtime. Since I began a few weeks ago I have been focusing on what I have to do with my family, friends, and job - all the while taking a few breaks every other day or so to check in with Taylor, the protagonist of this game. I immediately loved how similar it was like my favorite book series as a kid - the Choose Your Own Adventure series (which this game makes a reference to). It hasn't been easy guiding Taylor through his/her terrifying journey on this mysterious moon rock in space. But Taylor's struggle has been not too much unlike my struggle, so I stuck through it. I failed once and killed Taylor, but I immediately started over and took my guidance of him/her more seriously. Taylor's character is very much like us all. We love Taylor because he/she is that uncertain part in us that asks questions - waiting for a guiding answer from someone/something. What makes it so special is that we - the question askers - end up choosing the answers for our character/ourselves. The looming philosophical dilemma of free will vs. destiny throughout this game is what makes it an instant classic. The time spent on guiding Taylor home will forever be part of the memory of this transitional period in my life. Maybe it will bring something meaningful to yours.

Okay experience. I wish there were more features.. I tried to make Taylor suffer, and many times he did, but sometimes my suffer choices turned out to be the good choice for him. Oh well. I played this game on fast mode. Maybe it lasted an hour or two if I were to add up my playtime. :( Anyhow, I suppose the discoveries Taylor made in the end where interesting enough to reflect upon. Ish. On an unrelated note, I like the atmospheric music, and I wish there was a feature for me to play it while my phone is locked, so that I can listen to it while falling asleep, maybe thinking about how Taylor is such an idiot for letting me guide him toward clearly bad ideas that led to his early demise. With this feature, I could at least get something consistently useful out if the app after I got bored of the story. Thx.

Read if you are skeptical. A lot of people are annoyed by the fact that you have to wait in between choices which is the point of the game. It's a role playing game. I played this game while I was a CIT at a camp and it was great. Whenever he asked me a question, I would answer. It's not meant for an iPad as it assumes you will have your device with you at all times. One person was complaining about the fact that he inevitably dies which is NOT true. On my first time I got him all the way to the end. By that I mean he ended up getting rescued by another ship. It was soooo crazy, my heart was racing so fast as I was listening to him running to the ship as literally the world was falling apart. I'm assuming I was very lucky to have had him survive on my first attempt. But nonetheless, great game and would highly recommend. Especially for this price

Uniquely Atmospheric. This game as very captivating. The whole point is to guide an astronaut stranded on a moon in god knows where space and keep him alive as long as possible. The game has been keeping me playing because of the constant breaks the astronaut takes. This forces you to play by the game's schedule and it gives you just enough information to where you both know and don't know what's going on. It keeps you waiting for his next response and when he does it can get really interesting. The astronaut is a very human character. His whining can sometimes be annoying but overall he is both logical and intellectual. He has real fears and believable flaws. His character is simply another person stuck on the moon with you as his only source of communication to the outside world.

Excite our ears!. The idea behind lifeline games are very intriguing. Although playing through this one (my first), I find myself somewhat disappointed and almost bored by how plain the game is. You only have two answers to choose from, some of which I I don't even want to ask with the responses given. I know each response requires a different rabbit trail of answers. Text only communication is a boring aspect. Let character come alive through voice comm. static at times hard to understand voice. Let us glimpse some background sounds into the situation. Correct answers lead to rewards/survival items. More calculated problems. I liked the radiation level question. Give us wrong answers, maybe the character gets injured as a result of bad guidance. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Don't just leave this opportunity in the wind or I might have to start my own version.

Cannot recommend this game more. Okay, so I normally don't do reviews, but even though it's been a while I felt like I needed to for this one. I am a big fan of these interactive reading type games, and I downloaded this on a whim when it was the free game of the week (though it's most definitely worth its price). The gameplay is simple and immersive simply because there is nothing to distract you from the story, and I thought that the real-time delays (like when Taylor goes to sleep or is out exploring) made it even more believable. Story-wise, in my opinion, it could not be better. The way that you learn about this strange new planet, through his eyes, finding out information when he does, is what keeps you on the edge of your seat, and I love how the choices you're given can actually change what happens (I've played through multiple times). Taylor's sarcastic jokes also being a little lightheartedness to the whole rather intense story as well. I could not recommend this game more. I'm a frequent player of games like these, and it's not often that I come across one that leads me to care for the character so deeply. I actually found myself worrying about what would happen while waiting. It's a beautiful albeit a little creepy story, and worth every cent you pay.

The perfect game for a nerd like me.. I can say without a doubt in my mind that Lifeline is my absolute favorite game franchise that I have ever played. The concept is so intriguing (at least to a bookworm like me): you follow a story in which you actually directly interact with the main character. I don't recall ever being as emotionally invested in a game as I was while playing Lifeline (and as I am now, playing Lifeline 2). With all of this being said, I understand that, in a time when games like Call of Duty and Candy Crush reign supreme, interactive fiction is not for everybody. Considering the fact that you must buy the game to play it, I suggest trying interactive fiction games before buying Lifeline.

Houston, We Have a Problem. Lifeline has an enriching story, a lovable character, and mixes in a text-adventure game with horror films like Alien. If you haven't played it, which you should, the story is that an astronaut named Taylor is the sole survivor of a crash landing onto an undiscovered moon. You must guide him throughout his journey and make some really difficult choices. Events in Lifeline take place in real time, so if Taylor's walking towards a faraway space shuttle, then be prepared to wait an hour or two. This system is really good and it adds a lot of realism to the game. Lifeline is an amazing game. It's worth your money and it spawned one of my favorite game series of all time. 9.5/10

Suspenseful and addicting unlike any other game out there!. This game is unlike any other game out there. There’s no boring repetitive humdrum like most games. Also amazing because you don’t have to physically be playing on your phone to be playing the game.” The game is broken down into segments where you interact with the character. (See below where I mention pauses and notifications.) The fact that you make decisions that change how the character navigates his or her life or death situation makes you feel as if you are a part of an actual real life situation and that the character is a real person contacting you for help, it definitely does not feel like you are just playing a game. The pauses when the character is busy “doing something” are so suspenseful. This game even notifies you so you can keep up as your day goes by or catch up later when you aren’t busy. Making choices is really difficult at times. Apparently you can go back and change your choices and see how things play out differently which I haven’t gotten to yet but will definitely do. I will definitely be playing the other seven games in the series. So glad buzzfeed named this game in its list of “games you hAve to play right now.”

Awesome. This game was awesome. I regret some of the decisions I made, I could've gone a lot further. But this game actually pulled me in more than I thought it would. The writing is well done, and the music was great. I got incredibly nervous when having to wait for a response. The real time was slightly annoying, but only because it made me think Taylor had died. I felt great relief when I got a message back. Overall, few games have gotten me emotionally invested. I actually found myself getting concerned for Taylor. And so few games I've played have made me care about the main character. I've already finished the game, I'll most likely play again, but Definitely gonna take a break.

Weird and annoying. I chose this bc of the great reviews and bc the concept is intriguing: a replayable adventure in space that relied on my choices. Instead, I'm stuck babysitting a whiny dork who can't make the most basic decisions to keep himself safe and who needs constant emotional reassurance. The decisions I'm asked to make are "go east or west" (without any description of what's east and what's west) and "chili with beans or without." Ugh. Not to mention that in a crash scenario, no one has even mentioned ACTUALLY GETTING THIS GUY SOME REAL HELP BY GOING TO FIND HIM! Maybe's he's so annoying that everyone else is just going, "leave him there, at least we don't have to listen to him anymore." This is in addition to the lack of control over the pace of the game. It goes at it's own pace, sometimes hours in between plays and sometimes just minutes. Notifications help, but they come in bunches that can be extremely inconvenient. I won't be buying any of the other games in the series.

…..speechless. O my gosh it’s amazing like…oh my….wow I’m honestly speechless if you buy this you have 100% not wasted money whenever I open my IPad and see the notifications it just makes my day it’s cool how when he/she sleeps or explores there’s no messages it’s just an Amazing game I have been looking for a choice game LIKE THIS for almost 2 years and I can assure you that I WILL buy another of these once I’m done it’s an amazing game made by an amazing group/person if you buy this I assure you that you have not wasted money (sorry for being so repetitive) I also love how realistic the message time and wordplay is! Thank you for making this amazing game which could change some peoples life!

Did not expect something so good to Come from buying this. At first I thought this was going to be pointless and then when my mom decided to just click by it anyways I was a little bit upset that her money got wasted on something so pointless and then I actually played it and it was amazing my only request would be able to have an option of a mini gameOr maybe a button to click that so we can see what he sees at the very moment not anything that moves just may be a picture like if he was standing out of area and he was busy and if he was standing at the Varia we would just be able to see the Varia And that would be it no bugs or anything so far and I absolutely love this game and I am thinking about buying the second one how have I not heard about this before so worth three dollars

Why not a five star?. This game is amazing I love it and it feels like u are talking to a real person I have seen some spelling mistakes that aren't abbreviations like we're it's supposed to say on but it says en but that's all I've seen so still a five star right know but the reason I put four was because something small if four and 9/10 was a rating choice I would do that because it's minor but I wish there was a countdown to show how much time u have left until Taylor is done doing something or going somewhere just wanted to put that out there it's only minor but if u have free time and there is nothing else u can add then add this it's no huge problem if u don't it would just be helpful so I would say 4 9/10 stars

No Back-Up!. This app/game/story is fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable. I tried the other apps from the same Dev and was equally happy. BUT THEN: There isn’t a way to retain progress and especially Fast Mode when getting a new device or needing to reset a device. Retaining this important information should be a ‘given’ when purchasing something that works on the platform and device promised. Very dissatisfied and unhappy with the lack of interest, response and realism from this Developer. If you purchase this game/app it will not transfer to another device or if you have to reset your device. - Even if you restore from backup or save to iCloud. Not sure if this is laziness on the Developer’s part* or something else. Basically: these games become unplayable in the long term and whatever progress you make will only remain on a single device in that current iOS version. It will not transfer over and there is no restore or sync option. *All major platformers (Apple/Google/Microsoft/Samsung/Fitbit/Garmin/others) provide specific and logical, ahead-of-new-updates and products, and anyone claiming or blaming anyone but themselves is just lazy or has other priorities and should be honest about it.

Could’ve been a good idea, but…. …it is so freaking boring. UPDATE: I just monitored the time I had to wait for Taylor to stop being “busy“ and come back to the game. I waited 2.35 hours for him/her to return and then I got 1.6 seconds of dialogue before he/she left and the game went dormant again. How uninspired and boring could these developers, themselves, possibly be to think such a game would be interesting? Deleting the game now. Also made a mental note of this developer so as to never purchase from it again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I see how the idea of a real-time game would seem clever, but in real time when somebody sleeps, what are you going to do, sit there for hours and watch? That is all there is to do in this game while it says “Taylor is busy“? It is just SO incredibly slow because you progress in, maybe, two-second intervals between Taylor being busy doing something and going away. So, for hours he/she is off doing something then comes back and you get, maybe, two seconds of dialogue and then he/she is off again. Boring, boring, boring. Too bad. I wanted to like this game.

Best. Story. Ever.. I've gone through this storyline completely about 5 times now. This app is beyond amazing. I've never been more intrigued and glued to an app like this before. It's as if Taylor is a part of my life now and that I helped someone escape the evils of an unknown planet. Along with that I've never felt so attached to a fictional character before in my entire life. This game will never get old. The storyline is and will continue to be one of the best plots I've read. I wish 3 Minute Games and the author, Dave Justus, would publish like a more in depth and detailed book of this storyline. Same story just more descriptive and in detail. For instance like what happened during the '[Taylor is busy]' prompts. If they did that I would have no problem spending money to get my hands on one of them. Over all 10/10, 5 star, A+ game. Would definitely recommend.

It Reminds Me of the Choose-Your-Own Adventure Books!. I’ve played this game only a day, so far. I’ve seen others give bad reviews because it moves so slowly. To me, that gives it a more realistic feel. Like others here, I have been going through a rough time, full of uncertainty. This game has the feel of helping another through something worse than my own situation. The speed, I feel, is just right. If someone IRL reached out to you in this way, hopefully you’d help them. At times, I find myself worrying if I gave Taylor good advice. Will he be okay? I see the character as a young man, in need of a mother-figure, to help him get through. This appeals to me, because my own child is grown and needing me less, these days. I love the feel of this game. I like the pace. And it is so easy to become attached to Taylor, and to worry if he (or she) is okay. I say “Thank you” to the developers, and I hope to see more games like this from you.

Sci-Fi for iOS at its Finest. Ignore the less than four star reviews, they simply don't have the patience. I have played all the installments in the Lifeline/Green series, and they only get better. The moment I first began to communicate with Taylor, I felt like the character was real. Taylor elicited from me a protective feeling— I have never felt protective of a character in a game until then. Taylor was real, she needed help, and by God I was going to get her off that moon. Now, these two aspects are often complained about, but they only make the game more lifelike. Actions have consequences. Decisions you make in the game early on matter, and can have large consequences later on. If Taylor doesn't make it because of a decision that seemed trivial at the time, then you have to rewind. In my eyes, this is genius. This allows for more exploration and dialogue between player and character. Now, real time is also complained about, but for those who complain, I ask this: does it take you only three seconds to eat, sleep, recalibrate advanced technology, or investigate a creepy room? I came back to commend 3 Minute Games for their writing and endless creativity. The many settings and scenarios each installment takes place in has continued to engross me in each game. It has also taught me one important lesson: The Greens could be anywhere.

Fun game, but not without issues. This is a fun game, though a couple of issues keep me from giving it 5 stars. The first is the writing. The writer is trying way too hard to be cute and clever, in my opinion. Every other piece of dialogue doesn't have to be "funny" or clever. Nobody would talk like that constantly in real life, and it kind of took me out of the story. The other thing is that as the game went along, I felt like the choices I was being asked to make weren't having much of an impact on the story. I don't know if that's because the "correct" choice was too evident, or what, but I felt the decisions I was being asked to make weren't as interesting as in the beginning of the game. Having said all that, I did enjoy the game, though, and look forward to trying the sequel(s).

OMG WHY U PPL RATE SO HORRIBLY. I swear, I only played this because I felt like I needed a break from Plants Vs Zombies, but it is so cool!!!! I mean, sure, it's annoying when Taylor drops out for hours, or he misjudged a distance and takes more time than you thought he would to respond, but that makes it feel so realistic! Why are people saying he is whiney?! He just fell from a crashing ship, of course he will be rattled!! I mean, you would be acting like that too! This game is really different. If you like those defense, strategy, or action games, then this isn't for you. But I feel like you can really bond to the character, and that makes all the difference, as far as I'm concerned!

Five Stars. I absolutely love this game. I’m not a huge video game person to start with, but the way you communicate with Taylor, and how real life it seems like has me captivated. Everything seems really real, and it like you are talking to a real person not just a computer. Also I like how your choices don’t necessarily dictate his/hers. Taylor has common knowledge and good ideas, wry humor and keeps you interested. Some say that the only downside is how everything goes in real life time, like for example if he needs an hour to hike some where it actually takes an hour for him to get back to you, but I actually really like this feature. It keeps the game interesting, doesn’t have you playing for hours on end, and makes it seem even more real. I have an Apple Watch and totally love it on there. 100% recommend this game, it is worth your money!

Gaming at its peak. Most of the reviews I've read have been the story line is complex and beautiful. Others have been I am a gamer and I hate waiting for things. I myself think the aspect of waiting for your friend(Taylor) to return is ingenious. It makes the player of the game really feel there with them. The realism of the game astounds me. Most games would the have the character immediately get to where they are going and continue talking to you. Having to wait makes it feel like almost a gift when they finally get back. You feel like you've build some sort of connection with the characters and are waiting for them to inform you on what's going on next. This is a game I have been waiting to see for a while and I am glad it made its way to the Apple Store.

The Ultimate Choose Your Own Adventure. Probably my favorite app game ever. It's so creative and it's unique format is extremely refreshing. It's funny, heart warming, suspenseful, and eerie all at once. The humor reminds me a lot of the novel The Martian; it's full of sarcastic one liners that make me laugh every time. Plus it's text message style gameplay is increasingly eerie since it blends into the message notifications I get from real people, which gives the game a creepy, suspenseful edge. I read through a lot of the negative reviews posted on here and I couldn't disagree more. The character never once sounded "whiny" to me at all, especially considering his circumstance. Honestly, the character is extremely charming since he uses humor to deal with his stress. The pace is also not a problem for me. The game keeps you thinking about it long after you exit the app. Since the game plays out in real time, I often found myself wondering "I wonder how Taylor is doing" and whenever he messaged me I would exclaim "Taylor's back!" and my boyfriend and I would immediately dive right back into the insanely mysterious, sci-fi world that Lifeline creates. This is a game I'll be talking about for a while. It deserves twice the amount of stars I can give it.

Will be playing the sequels. Update: it's a clever concept, but I don't think there were enough real "choice"... Unlike the original Choose Your Own Adventure books, where there really were multiple outcomes. The choices sort of tunnel towards a good outcome. That being said, it's still a fun game on the Apple Watch, with updates coming in real time. I will play the sequels and hope the storylines get better. I am in the middle of playing this Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-esque game on my Apple Watch. Having a good time. I live the real time aspect to the game. I'll definitely be playing the sequels. Hats off to the developers for paving the way for a whole new subcategory of games for the Apple Watch!

Just give into the game and enjoy the ride. One advise i give to anyone, turn ON notifications and just give into the game, like a magic show or movie or play or VR, if you keep telling yourself this is unrealistic then obviously it won’t be. Chill out and enjoy the ride. It’s also the only game you can play on your lockscreen which adds to the magic. Some of the reviews are as annoying as the character sometimes... it’s not a perfect game but i’m impacted and there is no other game out there like this. I found myself more and more drawn to the story as it progressed. Some people complain that it’s slow, i personally think it’s more realistic and unexpected that way. I get like a personal text from the character every so often as i would from my friends. It’s engaging and worth the experience.

This game touches my soul love it!. Under helpful User (gratefulformusic & konyvka) had an experience very similar to mine. It’s been a few years since I played. I started playing lifeline when It first came out and at that time I was going through a really hard time and very depressed and lonely. I remember some days the only thing that got me through the day was this game. Worrying about Taylor took my mind off what was eating me up. I was so lonely and depressed it felt good to know that someone needed me even if it was just a game. a fictional character that overcame many obstacles gave me strength to push through what I was going through. It gave me hope what seemed impossible was possible. And I looked forward to hearing from Taylor I didn’t feel so alone anymore. Besides all that the plot was great the app is just great! Definitely recommend.

Huston in the blind, Do You copy?. At first glance this would appear to be just a branching text based story game, but after waiting in real time for a response that may or may not come adds a whole new level of realism. Are You prepared to assist in another humans survival? Without seeing or hearing them? Do you have the wear withal to know what the right call will be? Are you going left or staying put? These questions and more are consistently running through your mind as you are constantly second guessing yourself with every break in communication. Lifeline is a very interesting game and I've enjoyed it so far, the story does and will pull you in if you allow it to. The subtle background music sets a tone of constant unknowing that never seems to go away. The story seems to break and wait in real time giving you almost a subconscious connection to the Main Character wondering if your choice was the wrong one. All in all I am enjoying the game and look forward to my next communication with Taylor, I sure hope he's still alive.

Was skeptical at first. With this being the first text based game I've ever played I was skeptical if a text game could hold my interest. Boy was I wrong. This game is so well written and thought up it doesn't even feel like a game. It feels like I'm chatting with an actual lost astronaut. I'll admit there had been times where I made a decision and then became worried that I him in danger. The character has such a personality you actually grow to like them. I've caught myself chuckling a few times and smiling at jokes. And then I've caught myself reading in horror as I may have made a decision that could get him killed. There's definitely a mix of every emotion in this game. Got this game on sale for .99 cents and was worth every penny easily. I never write reviews, but I thought this gem deserved one. I'd almost call it an interactive book.

Great game, but....OTL. I've been waiting for a long time, but the Korean version hasn't come out for years....I knew it was a really good game, so I bought it and played it with a lot of fun. Most of the English sentences were understandable, but I often had to look for words because I was Korean and not American. As far as I know, the amateur Korean translation team has contacted me once before, and I know that you answered that you hired a commercial translation team. It's not too late now, so could you please give me a Korean translation version? It's okay if it takes a little longer. As a user who likes this kind of text adventure game, I'm asking for this kind of good game to become a mainstream genre in Korea. I think Lifeline is a very competitive game. But in Korea, only a few maniacs know this because of the language barrier. It's been 4 years and it may be a little unreasonable, but please.

Needs a movie or a Netflix show or maybe even a game. When I saw this free story game I thought this was going be pretty boring despite seeing the great reviews for I’m not much of a reader. So I downloaded it mostly for it was free and I needed something to do when I died in squads on Fortnight or one playing rainbow six to help pass the time. Than I actually grew like it over time. Sometimes I would have to convince myself to read it but when I did read it I slowly started getting more interested in the story to the point I wouldn’t have to force my self no more. It became naturally. It also helps when they threw little jokes at you and give you funny response they let you have the option to say. Helps keep you entertained. My favorite part in all this has to be when he gets in the peak and... well, those who read it knows what happens there. My verdict is for this 5 of 5 for if it can capture a person like me who hates reading and it also add the reader a atmosphere of music go along capture them in moment is perfect in all situations you will encounter. All I hope is that my eyes won’t turn green from after all I read.

New type of game I love it. I've read a lot of the reviews and was thinking why some people hated it. I loved it because it reminded me of some great tiny stories I read as a child, Choose Your Own Adventures. To me it's is not a video game but a logic game outside the video game arena. So if you download it thinking that sure you will be disappointed but if you go into it as a story and you're the second main character of the story, you build the story and are in control of its outcome. I also love the long pauses as Taylor climbs it does something it makes you feel like a real person in a real situation and you cannot talk every moment of the way. I've played it seven times all with seven unique twists and turns. I give it 5 stars and want more, in fact I'm about to but the full versions myself.

My Lifeline. Im a new student at university & ive been going thru a rough patch. Ive been very suicidal and depressed for so long. I always feel i have no one to go to for anything, and i thought all the bullying & hatred would stop in college, since everyone is supposed to grow up i guess. Nope, thats not the case, im not allowed to be me or like the things i like. ive cried so much where i just want to end my own life, because i have no one to care for mine and vice versa. this game came up in an ad i forget where but it seemed co so i gave it a shot because other than classes & sleeping i had no one to be with or anything else to do. Taylor made me realize that there is someone out there who hopefully connects with me, whether it be on a desolate moon in space or on earth, i hope i find someone to be my friend, or even talk to me at the very least. The fact that this fictional character took my mind off all my hardships and suicidal thoughts really means something to me. I just dont want it to end, i want to help Taylor do everything. Everyone pushes me away in life, even my own family. I feel like my phone is pointless as i talk to nobody and nobody talks to me, but when i see that notification that Taylor is no longer busy, my mood shoots up and i am so happy. thank you for making this game, because it really is my Lifeline.

By the second day, I was hoping for her death. This is an agonizingly boring app. If you're a fan of choose-your-own-adventure books but hate the hassle of reading at your own pace rather than in scraps thrown to you at inconvenient intervals, then this is the app for you. If you are instead looking for something that engages your reflexes, intellect, problem-solving skills, or any other useful cognitive systems, then I suggest you find another app. The fact that this qualifies as a game on the App Store says a lot about the standards that the Apple app approval committee holds (i.e. how low they are). If I were an engineer or artist on this project, I would feel embarrassed to put this in my portfolio or on my resume. If I were a writer on this project, I'd wonder why I'm working for an app developer rather than Highlights Magazine. I can't remember if I spent any money on this app, but if I did, then I regret the small sandwich I missed out on. At least the sandwich would have nourished me and made me briefly happy, rather than exhausted and grateful to be done with the experience.

Am I to assume that there will or will not be a rescue ship?. I've just made a decision about where to rest for the first night and then it hit me - what am I playing for? Does this astronaut have any chance of being saved or is he too far out? No matter how he dies it will be uncomfortable, whether due to hypothermia or ARS. I have a feeling that the astronaut does know whether or not there is a possibility of rescue from another ship. If not a chance of rescue, then either death by starvation, hypothermia, or ARS is going to be aweful so in that case I'd sit him next to the reactor no matter how many rads it was pumping out. On the other hand, if there is a chance of rescue then I'll take my chances with my decision to try to suffer with a temp drop and hope that the suit can retain enough heat energy. I'd have asked the astronaut this question off of the bat to find out what I'm looking at here- survival or most comfortable way to drag out the inevitable death. Come on "three minute games"

Exciting, needs a few modifications!. I just don't do reviews, but this is a great game and I'm really enjoying playing. I play both on my iPad and on my iPhone, the iPad is a great console to play the game on… The iPhone on the other hand is very hard to read. I think it would be easy to change the font size, background and font color, to be more readable on the iPhone. The storyline is great, and Taylor has some witty comeback's and an interesting conversationalist. The story has humor and suspense, and really draws you in to Taylor's predicament. I'm not crazy about having to wait for Tyler to accomplish something in real time, sometimes I only have 10 or 15 minutes to play the game, and more than half of that can be spent waiting for Tyler to finish his activity. It would be nice to have a feature to go into quick mode if you need.

Amazing game. Play it!. I love this game. Simplest way to put it. It's breath taking and dramatic, scary but sweet, heart stopping but life pumping! Taylor (a lost astronaut) needs help. I will give you this summary to quickly define this games.... I'm going to say awesomeness👍🏻: Meet Taylor, a astronaut stranded on a moonlike planet. He is a terrific science student who's number was pulled at a science fair and he was chosen to go on a spaceship. He was six days from landing when the ship crashed. He does not know how it did, but he at least manages to crawl into an escape shuttle. He crashes yet again in his shuttle and contacts you, the closest earth being to him. You communicate and talk, all the while you making life or death decisions for Taylor. Taylor also has a sort of.... Personality. He is halarious at times, others he is a freak show of frights. He can make your skin prickle or your heart warm. So will you kill Taylor with your decisions? Or will you help him survive..... And possibly get back home?

One of my favorites. I played this game a long time ago before Lifeline had so much "exposure" so I feel like this should be said right now: this game is entirely based off of the story and it acts like real life. This means that it is like you are actually caring for someone on another planet so naturally when the main character has to walk somewhere or do something it will take some time. If you have no patience and are just looking for something that you can finish in an hour this is not the game you're looking for. If you're looking for a story that will completely envelop you then play this game. I highly recommend it.

Playable again & again!. Like many of the reviews, I’m re-downloading this game for the third or fourth time, which not only makes it an excellent investment, but also speaks to how well it’s made and fun it is to play over and over. I’ve even bought all the other Lifeline games, which I will also replay after playing this one again (I like to go in order of game release because they get better and better). If you’re new to this game, it won’t disappoint and you’ll find yourself coming back to it time and again. I can’t wait for new versions to come out. When might that be, developers??????

A Wonderful, Thrilling Game!. It's a bit creepy as you try to save Taylor and uncover a frightening discovery in the process--but oh so much fun! I loved playing this game on the side, as you could play here and there and wait for Taylor to finish actions if you're busy. The game plot is over the course of a few days, which is perfect for me. You play it, start to finish, without it requiring too much actual attention or "work". This game is great if you're a busy person, or if you enjoy a lightly creepy story and want to blow off some steam. It's way better than watching a movie or tv show. If you're just starting the Lifeline series, this is definitely the game to start with! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did; it's definitely worth the 99 cents. :) I'm highly looking forward to future games! (I've already played Lifeline: Silent Night--which is a sequel to this game--and I was not disappointed)

Don't buy this app!. If you are not a fan of choose your own adventure. I bought this app thinking it will be a good story, a thought provoking game. Dead wrong. You only have two choices per scenario and vast majority of them have little effect on the outcome except a few critical decisions here or there. My greatest gripe about this game is the predictable story and the similarity of all the characters in it. I mean why can't the main character and a secondary supporting character have different personalities? They are both the same sarcastic yet sincere personalities. I don't know much about the writer but he or she seems like a novice to me. Not to be mean but I could have probably written a better story. Did I enjoy it? Yes for a brief moment but the predicable story and the characters ruined it for me. Btw there is at least a second part to this story. You are not even getting the full package with this app. Use your 2-3$ on other games.

Awesome and unique. I’m barely beginning the series in 2021 I’ve always wanted to play this but for some reason waited cuz I never heard anyone else talk about the game I got tired of waiting and 6 years later finally bought it and I’m glad I did I have never been a big fan of choice based games the only choice based games I really liked was Electronic Arts (EA) A Way Out or The Dark pictures anthology Man of Medan published by Bandai namco but this is a really cool game. I love how Taylor who is technically an ai playing a human character feels real. The way y’all made this ai character is unbelievable because it feels real in a way like there really is a scared science student alone In space A Way Out and Man of Medan are coop but For a game that only really includes 2 people Taylor and The Player. One is a video game character that is controlled by the system of the game who is being played by the ai but feels like a person with flesh and blood. I love how this ai goes in depth on the human characteristics including emotions such as, scared, relieved, and smart like an actual student makes this the perfect game.

Lifeline. Great game. Keeps you wanting to know what will happen next when guiding Taylor. Very well done app

I love it. This game is so interesting and it’s not like other type of games, this is like a game where you can come back to it and play it, others you have to restart,

Mildly entertaining. I don't understand the rave reviews. The game is certainly different and somewhat interesting, but I found it a bit annoying. Once I got the fast mode, having died and recommenced, it was better but still not really my cup of tea. Also, after a rather drawn out storyline, the ending was strangely abrupt and a little confusing. Worth a try, but be ready for disappointment if you don't agree with those who loved it.

Finally a game worth my money. Everyone is familiar with the basic run down of mobile games, they can get addictive by you will end up getting bored after about 3 weeks of playing therefore regretting the purchase you made. But not lifeline, the whole story really puts you in perspective and causes emotions I have never had for a game before it feels like you really are trying to save Taylor, many people would interpret this as cheating but after I killed Taylor once I felt so guilty I searched up how to complete just so he wouldn't die again! Although it lasts for about 3 days it is the most engrossing emotional video game I have ever played. Thank you 3 minute games for making these wonderful games

Mediocre writing. Clever concept for an app, the story seems quite linear with a few choices to direct the protagonist. Needs a keep-alive timer because my screen keeps turning off as I read it. Repetitive literacy techniques gets boring quickly like the lame jokes and sarcasm.

For the price? Eh.... it ok.. It’s a fun little story, and I actually liked the writing- mostly- but for the price I would have expected a lot more. I love choose your adventure types, but this doesn’t lead to much but several deaths and one ‘survivable’ outcome. And then it kinda leads you on a cliffhanger to get the next story- same price. Look, if it was 99c, for what you’d get, yeah, it would be worth it, and I’d happily buy the next chapter... but it’s just got such a big price tag for what you get. It’s disappointing. And for all those amazing reviews? I’m not sure man... seems fishy. But it’s cool. Fun little game, just a bit steep 🤷‍♀️

AMAZING STORY AND GAMPLAY. This game is has Outstanding story line to it filled with Life and death decisions. The story will depend on how you play the game I have had 2 different ending but I'm sure there's more! Defiantly a must get game 👌😅

Enthralling. An Apple Watch app that is actually worth buying. It draws in you subtly and slowly into another world. And for those who are impatient there is a fast mode. (Take the slow route though it is better:)

Simply the best.. Just finished this game and starting Silent Night (the sequel) and i'm absolutely hooked, just wish there were more options/settings like to change the style of play or any other things. Besides from that, excellent experience. Great game.

Wow I could not let go. I was just waiting for that next msg to arrive. kept me thinking and wanting more loved it.

Refreshing. A wonderfully refreshing and clever take on the text-based "choose your own adventure" type game. The main character is charming and amusing, the story itself is interesting. A nice, interactive stretch for my imagination's legs.

A Perfect Game. This is literally one of the best games I have ever played in my life, and I don't say that loosely. Although it is simple, short and does cost some money, that all doesn't matter, because it's all worth it. This is the first time, in my life, that I've actually cared about a completely made-up character, as if they were a real person, and the way the story is told is perfect for how it does this. And don't worry about the simplicity, because the game embraces it, and in a very well executed way. Although it is short (I finished in a couple days) that doesn't matter at all, because the quality easily outweighs the quantity of any game. I would have gladly paid at least triple the price after playing it, and I think you would agree after playing too. Don't worry about not playing to the game's "full experience" because you don't have a smartwatch, because I didn't have it, and I don't think it's needed at all to have an amazing experience.

OMG I love this choose your own adventure story. This choose your own adventure story app reminds me of the paper back books from my childhood. I love being able to catch up on the story on my watch when i'm on the train. I cannot wait to finish this one and get into the others. Keep writing these awesome stories ❤️

Stand out. Really a stand out game, very different and a leader for this style of gaming experience.

Wow. A whole pack of action that keeps you coming back for more

Perfect game. I loved this game I got attached to Taylor to the point it felt like I was having a conversation with a real person, not many games capture that feeling You have made the best IOS game I've ever seen

Way to make me feel bad, but also really enjoy a game!. This is great stuff! It’s engaging and enticing and has done something that no other game has done to me before: it has had me checking up on it instead of waiting for the next notification. I feel like I’ve got skin in this game and it’s all down to the very creative writing. The sound enhances the experience really well. It’s haunting and suits the atmosphere of the game beautifully. All in all, a job very well done. I’m really looking forward to exploring the options I didn’t take, as well as the other games in the series.

Great story. I don’t usually take the time to rate games but this one is something else. Great storyline and intense to follow along. If you’re impatient and can’t wait the few days you’d need to play the game over in the indented way, changing your phone clock as needed works well and still a few good hours of story to follow

Wow! Sci Fi Greatness!. Wasn't expecting much when I downloaded this on sale however I quickly was amazed to see how interesting a good narrative can be. Download now if you enjoy a good intelligent Sci Fi story!

Exhausting. This is just like dealing with a passive aggressive teenager who can't make a single decision and subtly blames you for anything they can't do. Probably a better game for people who haven't had to go through years of that already.

What a great game!. Today on the bus, I was pleased to receive a notification from Taylor. I was glad he was okay. I wish I could say more to him!

EXCELLENT game.. Never played this type of game before but loved it and can't wait to try the others. It drew me in from the start. I actually felt responsible for the character and felt emotion towards him. Worth every cent.

So boring. This is a “Book” not a game.. This is not a game, it is a “choose your own adventure book” and as far as I can tell the outcome will always lead to the same place anyway. Such a rip off for page after page of text. There is zero animation to justify the cost. Sure they paid for all their reviews as it fooled me into buying it. Oh, AND you don’t even decide when you get to “play”. The game does. There can literally be hours of nothing before it ticks over to the next chapter.

Really, really, really, really good.. This game is excellent. You should definitely check it out.

Enticing and Well Created. At first the game wasn't what I expected so I deleted it but a few months later I downloaded it again and I'm so stuck into the story. The storyline is very well written with Taylor and his thoughts and actions. I still haven't finished it so I don't know about the length but I will download the Lifeline apps. Very similar to 'The Martian' if u enjoyed that movie.

Surprisingly great!. This was a well put together story adventure. Much better than I thought it would be. Worth the $1.49AU.

Really very good. Some of the text was repeated a little too often (just let me process this) but the basic premise of the story and its execution were great. Really good stuff.

Enchanting. I downloaded this game on a whim, just because it was trending, and was addicted. I felt so attached to the character, and despite my initial hesitations in the simplicity of the game, I think that is what eventually leads to its brilliance. I was thrilled everytime a notification came up on my phone. Simple, enjoyable and the way my story ended at least, satisfying.

Awesome little game for filling in little blocks of time. The watch app is a bit sloppy, it keeps flicking right back to the start of the game so I gave up on it early on. The game itself was brilliant. Looking forward to playing the sequels and then going back to see what I missed when taking all the "smart/logical" options the first run through. Really enjoyed it :D

Amazing!. I downloaded this game with no idea what I was getting into. And I must say this is one of the best games I’ve ever played! I love the pacing between it all. Most games you finish within an hour or two, but this stretches it out, but not too far, just enough to leave you checking your notifications every 5 minutes and jumping straight back on the game when you get one! I certainly will be getting the rest of the series.

Best Game I've played. This game is literally the BEST game I've played in so long I got so attached to the main character and at the end, (if you get the good ending) I felt so proud and so happy This game is simply one of the best games I will play for a long time Time to get the sequel :)

One of the best games I have played!. Wow! This game is soooooo good! The plot is amazing, the character itself is amazing and it is FULL of decisions that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. It is also full of mystery and a lot of movie references! (Lol) I just got done finishing the game and I did sign up for the email! It's truely called a game and I highly recommend it for people who are patient and people who LOVE to read and finally, to be entertained!

Yes. YES. YESSSSSS!!!!. I actually LOVE this game. The plot is addictive and me and my friend had loads of fun playing this in our spare time. ALSO I WON! TAYLOR IS SAFE (well, only for a little while coz Lifeline: silent night is coming out 😊😊)

It's ok. Personally I think this game is good but not worth paying full amount for. This game is a great concept but in reality a lot of the time only gives you the illusion of choice. There is only one ending and in some choices Taylor will do what he wants if it's different to what you suggest.

Never played anything like it!. Great concept, great game. Couldn't wait to read what happens next, especially when you are waiting....

Great. I've only just started but I'm wanting to know more each minute. It's definitely worth the money!

Best mobile game ever!!. My favourite mobile game of all time, the character really came alive and I truly began to care about what happened to them.

Definitely worth the 💰 💰. This is one of best in the series it's so fun and gripping you will be playing it everyday till you complete it. Soooooo good!!

PERFECT. The game is so good. Finally a game that is worth my money I got hooked straight away, never thought I would like a simple game so much. The storyline is also perfect I definitely will be getting the rest of the series anytime soon.

Engrossing. Sorry it's over as I actually feel a connection with the character unlike many games

A different game perspective. Amazing.. The way Lifeline is just integrated into your everyday life is a, maybe not new, but definitely outstanding aspect of he game. By waiting for Taylor and replying to his (I interpreted Taylor as a guy) messages, it gives you an UNBELIEVABLE sense of realism, and that you're actually communicating with a person. At first I was really skeptical of how the game would turn out, and the only reason I bought it was really because I only have that much money left in my gift card. But as I played I became completely engrossed in the game. The second day I made some wrong choices and Taylor died, and God, I actually felt extremely guilty, like I just pushed one of my real friends off a cliff! Every hour that passed I loved the game more. The way it only communicates with you in short text like messages, the way you make the choices that decides Taylor's fate (no pressure) and that you have to wait real time for Taylor to finish doing something is just amazing. Worth every single cent. And I'm gonna buy the rest of this series.

Wow. Holy wow... Never been so attached to a person I've never seen before haha... Imagine if this was a survival game on the PS4 or something ❤️

Forcefully Extended. I love this game! It’s story elements are fantastic and so is the atmosphere that the author covers you in, much like a thick fog. But I really feel like it is stretched too thin. When I played this game close to its release, there was a skip feature, allowing me to skip Taylor’s wait times. But due to its removal, you’ll often find yourself forgetting about the game and not really being invested due to the hours or even days (irl) between contact. It’s a great game, but devs, please allow us to skip. Like, actually skip, not sneak peek.

Good idea, mediocre delivery. Fun idea, but the story and writing doesn’t really deliver, nor does the decision making. It all feels a little too on tracks and without player input.

Purely fantastic. I downright love this game! I'd even go so far as to say it's even my favourite for iOS! Definitely recommend!!

AWESOME GAME. I love this game so much!! Just a tip is don't play it in the dark, by yourself, with the volume turned up it gets a bit creepy at some parts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME

Great Game. One of the best message-type games I've ever played! The story writing is amazing, well-paced and very in-the-moment with a masterful use of suspense. You'll also never miss a thing with the notifications - well, what are you sitting there for? Taylor is waiting...

Almost perfect. Only two reasons I took a star off. First it doesn’t quite have the multi choice power of most text based games, feels a tad limiting. Second, I am permanently plugged into music/headphones, would love it if opening the app didn’t shut my music off. Kinda fustrating, means I play less because I don’t want to interrupt it.

Great stuff. Very clever app and so innovative!! Really brings the, "choose your own adventure" type to a whole new level.

Concept vs reality. Really outstanding & interesting concept for an app. Where it all went down hill for me is with the writing. The story line dragged on forever and there was nothing really interesting going on. Every single conversation was him trailing off with "omg no way" and is replying with "what happened". This probably happened 20x. There was no real climatic effect, it was all just really dragged out. The ending was a 2 second wrap up that didn't make sense and wasn't clear at all.

Love all the lifeline apps!. Read the app description first then read this. So basically you just read his texts and choose your reply then you gotta wait. It’ll say “Taylor is busy” and it could be like 15-20 minutes which was great for me cuz I’m keeping busy so I check my phone every couple hours and that made then game go on for a couple days. So do not play this game if you expect a fast paced experience it takes time. This app is just a side quest on your phone that you check every now and again. Personally I absolutely loved this series! If the app developer is reading this please finish all their stories !!

So much fun. Taylor is the friend that was missing in my life. The quirky brave optimist who drags me along on crazy adventures and gratefully depends on my advice and companionship. Who doesn’t need a friend like that?

5/5. I never rate games because I will also find at least a minor issue with it, but this game is simple and entertaining. I love it.

Loved this game. This game was super fun, and a good way to pass the time! 👍

Broken. I wrote a review yesterday but I guess it got taken down. The game won’t launch at all and crashes instantly. I bought this game years ago and i still haven’t got it to work. Thanks for taking my money, hopefully one day I can actually play this game.

Great. Amazing

Good. This is a pretty fun game.

Doesn’t work on Apple Watch. I purchased this game because I read on some blogs that it was the best rated I watch game but when I downloaded it it says that lifeline needs to update in order to work on the watch. The gaming experience would have been better on the watch

So good I forgot to take off my boxing wrap!. So I just came home from boxing class and I’ve been waiting all day for this game, then bam I was addicted I was so focused on tailor that I forgot to take my boxing wrap off! In fact I’m texting this with it on lol I REALLY recommend this game to all you guys who like story lines and boxing lol

Good game wish I could turn down the speed that the messages come in at I read very slowly. See title

Amazing. The developers did a great job here, the writing for this game was incredible and I genuinely cared for Taylor, I can easily recommend this game.

my first review on any game ever. I have never once rated or reviewed any game I have ever played, but i am doing it for this one. this game was excellent in every form this is exactly the kind of excitement i was looking for. this game did not disappoint me. shout out to the creators of this game, by far one of the best games i have ever played

Worth it.. You build a bond with this character and feel like you're there directly in the story.

Please update. I recently got an Apple Watch and I’m addicted to this game on my phone. When I found out you could play on Apple Watch, I tried to download it on my phone at home but it said it has to update.

Brilliant. This game really pulled me in and I can’t wait to play more in the series. Thanks to the writers and development team that worked on this.

Amazing. This game is amazing and I enjoy playing it. I recommend you get this game

Best. Text. Game. EVER!. This game is super fun. It is very challenging too. I have no negative comments!

I loved it. Lifeline was a very emotional journey (in fact i borderline had a panic attack when i got a bad end), and it reels you in with just how real Taylor feels. i found myself frequently checking in on them to make sure they were okay. unfortunately, i didnt go in completely blind, i had knowledge of the Big Twist near the end, but not how it was executed. as for cons, i really wish it was a bit longer. the pacing was fantastic but it would have been cool to follow taylor for longer. also; i wish more of the choices mattered, instead of a select few. choices that felt big and like they mattered actually didnt mean anything at the end of it. i recommend this game, but if you prefer faster paced games with a lot of action, look elsewhere.

Love it!!!. Love it!!

Best adventure ever. Perfect way to tell a story. Can’t wait to talk Taylor again!

Lifeline. It's an amazing game I absolutely recommend it!!

Love it so far. Played it for 2.5 seconds and then it said “Taylor Is Busy” So far iT has been fun 10/10 buy this

Amazing. Interesting concept. The story was intriguing until the end.

Merci beaucoup. J’adore se jeux merci au créateur pour tout ses petit détail je conseille fortement :)

Splendid. I love coming back to this game and replay the story, great every time!

Pretty Darn Good. Ok, I don't HATE this game, don't get me wrong. There are lots of different paths to take, and Taylor is AWESOME. But I find after playing through it once it gets kind of boring. This is just my opinion and I still TOTALLY recommend you get it. The real-time events are also pretty cool :3

Lifeline. Amazing game to pass time. Really keeps you enthralled and you get so attached to Taylor.

unbelievable. this is the BEST mobile game available. witty, realistic, creepy, perfect. i got so drawn into the world i actually cried a little the first time i got her killed, almost had an anxiety attack with her on day three, and am truly gutted to have finished the storyline. hoping for more from this developer. thanks for an amazing experience!

Taylor is busy too often. I’m on my iPhone. Though the story is interesting, the fact that I have to wait and see what he’s up to way too often makes it annoying. Programmers, if you REALLY insist on making us WAIT, at least give us the option to choose how long we want to wait for Taylor. TAYLOR IS BUSY, way, way too often!!! Cheers

INCREDIBLLLLLLEEEE. This game is amazing

The best. The writing is so good, I swear there’s another person on the other side. Taylor is amazing and I wish I could’ve gotten to know them even more. The real time notifications are really cool and add to the feeling that it’s real. The most interesting three days of my life. So, if you do choose to download, this is my friend Taylor. Keep them safe.

Heard good things. Keep trying to come back and play this but I keep uninstalling because it seems a bit slow paced. I get the passing of time helps build a more realistic story but even Firewatch or Any Telltale games don’t force downtime. Would be nice if there was a small button you could press to skip to the next encounter/convo for people that want to play at their own pace. TLDR: 2 stars, I know the story is there, I find it a chore to get to the good moments however.

Cool sci-GI adventure in Text. I love reading sci-GI and happened upon this game. You help a hapless student who has crash landed on an alien moon. Game is compelling and suspenseful. Really enjoyed playing it.

Intriguing. This is so fun I just started but it’s so interesting and I get excited when I get a notification because it makes me feel like I’m actually talking to someone. She makes you look things up and go through your phone (not in a weird way) and I love it!!! Highly recommend 👍👍

Not working on Apple Watch. Would give this a higher review but it doesn’t work on my Apple Watch. It says the game needs to be updated to run on Apple Watch. I bought the game so I could play it on my watch. Pretty disappointed.

Amazingly fun text adventure. This game was awesome fun right from the get go. It has the perfect blend of humour and creepiness to keep me coming back for more. At the end of the game I needed to keep going so I immediately bought the next one (Lifeline: Silent Night).

Amazing game. A great emotional and thrilling experience for any person who wants to try something new.

Awesome game!. The most fun I've had playing an interactive text game in a long time. Brings back memories of reading 'Choose Your Own Adventure' books in the eighties. It is surprising how quickly you get emotionally attached to 'Taylor' and his survival. Wonderful game.

Fun, but has issues.. The game is fun, but I believe it needs an update. The game seems to get stuck at times after selecting a dialogue option. Hit a response, and nothing happens for hours or days. At this time, my game is currently stuck. Otherwise the game would be fun. It this kills the immersion.

Real-time game play. I haven’t actually played through the game in a couple years, but it’s an amazing experience so much so I had to redownload and start the story for... potentially the 4th or 5th time. It’s not overly time consuming, and notifications sometimes come up and it’s a bad time but the game doesn’t require an excessive amount of time. If anything it’s an intermittent kind of thing. Either way I love it.

I’m so curious!!. I downloaded the game an hour ago. I already know "Taylor is busy" will be a love-hate relationship... I love the chat idea. It helps unleash my imagination, just like reading a book would! Question - the internet talks about unlocking achievements but I don’t see them on the app…. Am I missing something?

Boring. Waste of time

One of the best game. The best game that ever play in iOS

Great game with eerie twist. When I first played the game years ago I never made it past the varia but now I’ve completed the game and I couldn’t stop playing it I was intertwined in helping Taylor survive and I need to get silent night but it shouldn’t really cost money (because it’s a text based game) but astonishing work from the writers... forgot to add, one problem is that you can’t get to know Taylor much or try to help him more

Awesome. The messages overtime are great! It helps when you’re out in public to look like you have actual friends!

Amazing. I really enjoyed the choose your own path style of gameplay

LOVE IT. I love this game I was playing one like this where your just a kid in a town covered in military an you had to go into a bunker I forget the name of it can someone help me find it?

Lifeline. Un mot pour ce jeu: Extraordinaire

Actually good.. The text adventure genre of games has never been special but this just might change that. This game has been a rollercoaster of emotions. A surprisingly good one. The ending is a bit sour and abrupt but the rest of the story was just amazing.

Boring. Like watching paint dry but the paint texts you.

My lifeline!. Well, I really have to say, I’d rate it 6 or seven stars if I could! This is the most engrossing game I’ve ever played! If I ligit almost started crying at one point. This awe striking story is worth the money, time and so much more. Though I think it would really be nice if there was a “Fast mode” to make ‘Taylor’s busy’ go by faster. But I understand it, and how it builds tension and your care about the characters, I’d spend a thousand dollars to get this game. Honestly, anyone who says it’s “boring” clearly isn’t patient enough to truly enjoy the game.

Love!. This is a really great game. I haven't ever gotten so emotionally invested in a game character before! I really looked forward to hearing from Taylor through my day. I really like that it shows up as notifications on your phone almost like you are being texted by them. My biggest issue with this one is that it definitely could have been longer. If you want to try out an interactive story and like sci fi or mysteries, I'd very much recommend this!

Please read!!!!!!!!. This is by far the best app I have ever had....this is a game made to be played once and enjoyed throughout the whole time.... If you play twice you will notice that it all leads up to the same thing, but it is still very good! The way this game works is in (real time) what in,mean by that is it sends messages like in real life, like it would this was really happening on a different planet......I am really looking forward to playing the next game in this series!

The BEST Game on the App Store. This game was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment that you start the app up for the first time up until the very end, this phone app's story is definitely Hollywood material. Taylor's character was not only well developed, but he also made very subtle references and jokes. I found it difficult to convince myself that Taylor was just a character in a game and not an actual student astronaut stranded in the Tau Ceti star system. I held my breath to the point where I turned blue during every step of Taylor's journey. EVERY. STEP. Lifeline is definitely a game that made me feel like my decisions mattered, and that your decisions could either save or kill a person in need. I loved the feeling of guilt and unease for questionable decisions you make in the game. In case I haven't gotten my point through, here it is in capital letters: GET THIS GAME. I eagerly await more stories of Taylor and his adventures in space. Awesome work with the app. It is truly worth every penny and then some.

Engaging and exciting. So well written, and so much personality and heart in the characters. I appreciate the attention in not gendering the main character of Taylor so it is up to the reader’s interpretation. Can’t speak highly enough of this game, and once you start you’ll need to play all of the other games. There is a bigger story at play and it’s amazing to learn new pieces of the puzzle as you play different games. So looking forward to the future.

I love this game. Been invested for YEARS. I found this game when it first came out back when I was in high school, it was the free game of the week in the App Store and within a few hours all of my friends were invested in the story as well. Now I’m Back playing it again in preparation for the newest installment game coming out soon!! Taylor is amazingly written and the style of the game is so unique. The real-time not knowing if you made the right choice is captivating and just so so cool. 10/10 I would recommend this game and the sequels involving Taylor’s story.

First game clunk in Ui, but immersive story. The notifications driving me crazy, as I can't get them to go away sometimes or have to delete each one individually, so it makes it hard to know when the game is actually ready to progress and when it's just leftover crap. The enforced breaks take some patience, too. Otherwise, pure awesomeness. The music is atmospheric without being intrusive (even without an internal volume control), the story is immersive, and easy to read back to remind yourself of details. Oh, if you lack empathy, skate on by. Part of this game is realizing you may be the last human contact this poor guy ever has.

Worth All 107 Pennies. This game, first off, is a masterpiece... I loved having to wait for Taylor, in real time; it was satisfying to play it over the course of a few days and then reach the end, rather then just playing for an hour, winning, and then having it be over... This game is genius, so well done. It focuses on the story and puts YOU in charge of making big decisions and paying the price for each decision you make; good or bad. If more games are ever made like this, I'm in!!

Choose someone else's adventure. Nice first game in the series. I didn't feel attached to the protagonist in this story until the very end when i read what he recorded for me incase he died. This is definitely a new play type for mobile that i have seen so far. A game you can do at your own pace, wait for things to happen while you are preoccupied with real life, and just reminds you of choose your own adventure books. This first story in the series is not terribly suspenseful. I hear great things about the rest of 3 Minute Games apps but i have not gotten to them yet.

Awesome writing/ great on watch. There are so many things to love about this game. One unexpected feature is that it prevents me from getting overly involved in it or "addicted" to it and then just burn out. Or worse having to stop playing because it interferes with my focus on real life lol. But the way the game is designed prevents this from happening since it forces you to pace your communication with the game. I've played this game far longer than any other because of it. The humor is top notch, quality writers and game all around.

Really interesting, fun game. I really got into the game and felt the concerns of Taylor, trying to assist in a series of decisions that felt as if they really had consequence – and they do to the characters in the story. It's multifaceted where decisions have outcome for the characters and encourages you to figure out what's going on as much of the situation faced by Taylor remains shrouded, being revealed very slowly. The game has breaks where the character is resting, working, or walking across this desolate moon where the ship crashes. Well worth the time for this quality gameplay!

Absolutely Brilliant Game... with one complaint. I bought this game a while back because it appealed to my love of choice based games and I stick with the series after falling in love with a character as wonderful as Taylor. But I recently got an Apple Watch and this specific game of the Lifeline series doesn’t seem to be capable of being used on the watch. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Other than that it’s a phenomenal game that I keep coming back to again and again. I’d highly recommend it.

Favorite game app on the market.. I never, ever (ever, ever) write reviews for anything because my apathy gets the better of me, but let me tell you this is worth it. I rarely stick with games on my phone, but I religiously follow the Lifeline series. Maybe that's because it's not much like most games out there, in that it comes to you as a series of messages and you guide the person on the other end of the connection (Taylor in this case) through a perilous situation. How could there be a better use for your time than trying not to lead a sassy astronaut to their death?

This is an actually really cool game.. I really like this game. I like the concept of using real time for the in-game decisions and such. Very unique in my opinion as this is the first game I’ve seen myself that this has been done. But still, pretty cool. One thing that I think would be really neat, is that, I wish you could type in your name. So that way Taylor can use your name while he, or she, communicates with you. Idk, I just think that would make the game a little more personal and interesting. And pretty neat for a character to refer to you by name. Just a thought. 👍🏻

I'm probably too involved in this game. I started playing this game as an assignment for a game development class. The requirement was to play it for an hour and write about gameplay and other dev stuff. I haven't put this down for three days, when I downloaded it three days ago. I love that Taylor, the main character, is so relatable. I actually get more excited for notifications from the game than I do text messages. So far my report and studying has gotten a little...less worked on...but it's totally worth it. I could not recommend this game enough.

Okay, but very linear and illogical. The premise of the story is interesting, and at first I had fun, but it just became frustrating at some point. I tried to "choose the path" that felt the most logical to me in a survival situation and in the end it seemed the "solution" was completely random. While up front choices were critical (and outcomes random) it seemed like any choice was fine toward the end once you crossed some threshold that said you were going to finish the game. The end drug on a bit to me and at some point I just wanted to be done already and I think there is only one ending where you survive. Bottom line: won't be spending money on the other lifeline games.

Love this. So I rarely write reviews, but I seriously loved this game. Now he's dead at the moment, but I'm replaying to keep him alive. What I love about it is I can play through out the day, it doesn't take a lot of time, and well, it's cool. I'm older and love the old text based games. I've bought the others, but I'm determined to make him live, so we are doing another round. I thought with the way the game was written, when I sleep, he would be awake and die, but that did not happen, it kinda worked with my schedule, I'm a stay at home mom/disabled. Throughly enjoying it!!!

Differently Amazing. When i came across this Title "Lifeline" i hadn't imagined the realistic pieces and format of this game. It sort of does not feel like a game at all in a weird i am controlling between responses here to a crashed astronaut student sort of way. But after I initially received the first message i am hooked. It's different, fun, intense and realistically above most games here. I think the creators have come to the conclusion gamers wish to be more in control and connect to a game more than ever now in this day and age. Almost like the movie (Surrogate) thats the control i wish to have with a game. So i love this thus far.

I only wish it were longer. There are two types of interactive story games I like. Ones like “The Room” where you piece together the story from notes you find around the puzzles throughout the game, and ones like this, with ACTUAL time delays and where your choices actually matter. This is a phenomenal game and I highly recommend it for anyone, especially if you are on the fence. For what it’s worth, it’s a fairly long game with the real time delays, but I would love to see a story delve more deeply into the choices impact. Some of the choices lead back to the same dialogue, which is understandable, but I wish there was more. Overall, I absolutely love this game.

One of the best mobile phone games.. I loved this game, the first time I played it I loved telling the character to do something then wait on him to finish. With it being in real time the connection felt ALMOST real. I'll never forget my first death in the game. I had sent him off to bed a few hours prior, but now I was going to bed. As I lay there falling asleep I heard my phone vibrate and checked it to see the words "s-s-so c-c-c-old.... Can't feel... H-Hands..". That moment was amazingly startling and I'll love it forever. Want to buy the next ones now!

Amazing Game.. I’ve been going through what you might call a “rough patch” lately with a relationship that’s really important to me. And this game pushed me through. (Cheesy, I know.) But I never knew when taylor was going to “text” me next. I never knew what was going to happen next. But his sarcastic humor made my day every time. When I felt the loneliest and most anxious, I would have some serious decision to make for him. And as stressful as that may sound, focusing on helping somebody else’s life when you’re in no control of your own really helps. Thank you guys

Love this game!. Haven't been playing very long (a couple days) but I can tell you this game is well worth buying, even though Taylor is in the peak right now. Which if you have played you will know what I'm talking about. This game is addicting and at the same time the developers make sure you put it down for a while and get back to life. Which in my opinion is something all devs should do!!! Can't wait to buy the other four, personal goal to finish this one first.

I've never been so emotional over an app before. Way to go on the creators of this app (and its sequels) for making stories and characters that I genuinely care about. People who gave this 1 star want a shooter game, but what Lifeline is is a story. It's a choose your own adventure story with a modern twist. The way the game plays out in "real time" makes the whole thing feel real. If you're really that impatient, you can play a fast mode which skips the waiting, but in my opinion, it's more fun to wait it out. Best game in the App Store!

Best game I've ever had the pleasure of playing/reading. This game makes you truly FEEL like you are in Taylor's shoes and it fully describes how everything looks, how everything sounds, etc. It seems that we can all relate to Taylor and how we would all act in this situation(I'm almost certain we would all act this way if we were in the same predicament). But it made me sit at the edge of my seat or wherever I was playing and made my heart pound from suspense.... This game is truly invigorating and innovative.... Long story short, 10/10 I would recommend.

"Keep making these.". Honestly, at first, I wasn't a fan, and I was about to give it four stars and point out a few things I find flawed with the game. But based on the creator's approach, I think he accomplished exactly what he wanted, and that's enough for me. The last third of this game is exciting as hell, and while I will argue that I felt my choices had little meaning, I asked friends of mine about it and they died before the end. So I guess I did something right. All in all, I'm excited for Silent Night. Keep making these.

Really well written. This was a great game! Totally text based, but gripping. I was pulled into the story quickly, and I really cared what was happening. One feature I really like is that when there are pauses in the game, such as when Taylor is sleeping or busy, you have a natural stopping point, so you can't fritter away a whole day on the game easily. Also, it plays at your pace, unlike some apps that require you to check in at certain intervals or lose what you have been working for. When you come back, it starts where you stopped. I'm looking forward to playing other games by this developer!

Holy cow. Alright so it's not a game you can see what's going on, it's a story, like reading a book. Except the book is digital and you're talking to a person who seems very real and you're in control of what path they take in the story. You keep Taylor alive and you follow the story. It's amazing and keeps you on your seat. It's not something you play in one sitting it's one you genuinely have to wait ten minutes to regain contact while Taylor climbs or eats. I loved it and honestly I miss talking with Taylor.

Taylor. I played this game while I was out of work sick. Started over the weekend and was able to finish it fairly quickly. I have got to say this was the best iPhone game I have ever played. It was suspenseful and heart wrenching as well as completely enthusiastic when things went right. Taylor has so much life and I genuinely worried and stressed about him with every turn. It was incredible, and to be honest I was sad it was over. Thank you so much it’s an amazing game and everyone should play it.

So amazingly creepy. This game is fantastic. As a ten year old, for me it’s the kind of game you never play at night, in the dark, or alone. Seriously, though. The devs are awesome. The subtle sound effects really help it all come together. The waits are a little annoying, but it helps you to take breaks and do other stuff. But god, this game is great. I didn’t know Taylor could die until...well, until they did. You need to make more. Really. I think that’s all I have to say, thanks for reading, have a great day, and stay safe! 😷🦠🧴 -Aiden 👩🏽‍🦽🐺📚✡️

Great choose your own adventure game. I really liked the story and flow of the game. I've always loved choose your own adventures and this was very much like it. It felt like reading a book, but more real life when it came to waiting for the character to finish his tasks. Cool aspect to the game. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because of all the language. I don't personally like that much language, but it's tolerable. I would just like it to be more family friendly. This could reach more audiences "kids" if it had less profanity. Still cool game, loved it.

Very very real. With something like a game that represents two people communicating and and only thing to look at is a text screen it feels real. It feels as if you actually are effecting the possibility of a real human being. With games where it's graphics and you see a person as you talk to them it doesn't feel real because it's obviously fake but with nothing but words that make up a complete stranger it leaves your mind to wonder. Amazing, beautiful, a masterpiece.

Ehhh. I kind of enjoyed it in a way. Too slow in some wars. But the story was pretty dull. I felt more like I was affirming Taylor’s opinions more than making choices. Taylor is the stupidest astronaut/ rat scientist ever to enter space and spends most of the time walking across the dull planet and telling you “be right back”. The best advice I could give him was to “breathe” toward the end. I started to troll him and he goes are you sure I should do this??? And I could only think well if you don’t want to why are you contacting me?! Taylor. Taylor. I don’t know it was amusing in its delivery but the story sucked sorry. I will try the other ones because I bought a full pack. Lol

play the full game people. i played this game and it annoys me when i can tell that people write a review before they have played the full game or because the game doesnt fit their want, first the game is supposed to not have graphics of any kind, it has pictures and displays to show that so if you didnt look before hand and your dissappointed thats on you, second is i read a review that said they hate that the only options are to either die or head to the mountain, if you actually play the entire game and dont die you would realize the game is not pointless and there actually is a way off the rock your on, with a little twist as well for those who havent played it yet, yes the wait is annoying and sometimes it can take hours for taylor to respond but if you cant make yourself busy for a few hours until taylor responds then you have bigger problems than this game

Play it. I've never played a game like this before. I had never heard of a game like this before. This has suspense and tension thrown in your face while creating a friendship with an individual you can't see. This game is so clever and revolutionary that I can't help but want everybody to play it. It's a choose your adventure game, but it's not your adventure, you're just along for the ride. And that ride just makes you stress waiting for the next line of text to come in. Play Lifeline.

Amazing story driven game. Oh... My... God.... This game is the only story driven game ive ever played, and i love it, im not much of a reader, but this story of taylors abandonment on an unexplored moon is a suspenseful, highly detailed, and occasionally humorous tale of the real struggle to survive in an unknown place, the fact that it takes place over several DAYS is amazing, the suspense is killer but the wait is worth it, almost like YOU yourself are actually coaching Taylor through this living hell, i love this game, every single part of it, and i would recommend it to anyone i know

If I could give it more stars I would. The lifeline series is my favorite series across the entire App Store. There is no better storyline that draws you in and makes you feel connected to a character any better than this series of games, with this game being the best one in my opinion. I’m a few years out of high school now and I remember playing this game in junior high. Thought I would leave a review after remembering this game and just how much of a masterpiece it was. Glad to see there’s plenty more added to the series while I’ve been gone ;)

Truly Amazing!. I downloaded this game when it was free app of the week and deleted afterwards so I had it in case, I came back to it about 3 days ago and I'm already so developed in Taylors life it's insane! She feels like a real person! I have never seen such a simple game pull of something this amazing! I really love the story, Taylor and the decisions that you have to make for her. You feel important because you have to help this girl survive, I don't know how to explain it in depth but it's just amazing! Try it out!

Taking it back. This is an awesome game/story!! Takes me back to when I was 12-14 reading those choose your path Goosebumps books that I loved so much! It a very gripping story that is told in real time which just adds to the suspense. I found myself multiple times checking my phone to see if Taylor had sent me a message and I would often wonder how he/she was doing and hope that I didn't have him/her go to certain death. If you like Sifi thrillers and witty sarcastic humor then this is a must buy!!

Greatest game ever. Ok so I almost NEVER write reviews but for this I have to. I normally play a game for a while and stop playing it and eventually delete it. But this is not the case for this series. I have played every lifeline and I can't get over how genus this is. I become extremely excited whenever I find out a new one has been released. For a short period of time you actually become a little attached to the characters. The story is well written and it is the best game ever.

One of the best apps I've used in awhile.... I'm incredibly impressed with this game, and was easily addicted. The way that it is set up in real time with the main character is what makes it so lifelike. You feel as if it's a real situation, but is actually a cooler version of old "choose your own adventure" books. One wrong move could mean life or death (and if you mess up, you can go back and change the scenario). I recommend to anyone who enjoys suspense, literature, and problem solving.

Never played anything like it.. Played "Lifeline: Whiteout" because it was free for the week... but amazingly, it was just enough to get me hooked. The Lifeline series is pretty simplistic yet genius. Each game has its own interesting plot that not only keeps me engaged for hours, but days! The game is heavily dependent on your decision making skills & logical thinking. Help your radio com buddy push forward and make the right decisions! Not every path you take is the correct one, I've sadly killed the protagonist multiple times due to careless decisions and hypnotic aliens; The replay value for this game is great. Trust me when I say it's worth the dollar.

Wow!. I have never written a review in my entire life, but this game was flipping amazing. Towards the end, I couldn't even put it down. I recommend waiting to play the end until you are alone and have time, because you will NOT want to be interrupted. Do not play on fast mode, it ruins the atmosphere, and if you can play along at night, that makes it so much more creepy, especially at the end when things start to happen fast.

Suspenseful, Scary, and Much Fun. This is one of the best games I have played in a long time. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone under 10. Honestly, it's really creepy. But that's what makes the game so great! If you like CYOA (choose your own adventure) books, you will love this game. I haven't played the sequel yet but I will. Once you start this game you can't stop playing. Taylor, (The Main Character) becomes a real person. You need to make choices for her so she survives. I COULD NOT STOP PLAYING! But that's what makes it a 5 star game. I encourage the makers to create a series following this story. Such a great game!!!! 5 star! 5 star! 5 star!

Fantastic. As a gamer who doesn't generally doesn't beat the story mode, this game has made me change completely in that regard. I love Taylor, I feel so invested in Taylor and I want Taylor to live and thrive. This game has some of the best storytelling I've ever heard and I'm so glad that this game exists. This game is a must have if you get invested into a story. (Spoilers ahead) The first time I played i killed Taylor and let Taylor succumb to wildboys monster thing, and the words horrified me and made me hate myself for killing Taylor.

Wonderfully Unique. This is the first of the series, and still my favorite. Not because it is better than the others (because they are all wonderful), but mostly out of nostalgia. The great thing about these games is how incredibly simple yet gripping their gameplay is. This character's life is in your hands! You get close to the character, sometimes I forget it is a character, and the story can leave you on the edge of your seat at times. Thanks for these, I'm going to keep following.

Unique gameplay and awesome story. A very unique game, unlike any other game I’ve played before. The fact that it’s done in real time is amazing. It keeps you wondering about your fictional friend, Taylor, even when “Taylor is busy”. The story keeps you hooked and the witty writing keeps you entertained. I already thought the game was amazing but when “The Jerk” was referenced I couldn’t help but write a review for it. That was all I needed. And the paddle game...and the chair...and the ash tray... Give this game a try if you like sci-fi, a good story, and clever quips. It’s worth the money.

Fun the first time, but ultimately disappointing. I really enjoyed playing through this the first time, but was really disappointed upon going back and trying to find alternate storylines, only to find that there’s really only one story, hitch can only end in a couple of different ways. 99% of the “choices” you make in directing Taylor are totally inconsequential, and you are forced down the same pipeline of a story no matter what you choose. I guess I was expecting the options to lead to different events transpiring. But I still give four stars for a really fun initial play-through!

Beautiful game, bad audience.... I've been playing text based games since the original ZORK, and this is probably the most creatively developed TB game. It makes it feel actually real, but people can't seem to handle waiting a while before Taylor's done doing something. He'll be walking or doing something, so he won't be talking to you, and people give it one star because it's "dreadfully boring". The thing is, people are frustrated about the wait because of how great the play-time is. Honestly a masterpiece of a game.. You are likely to be eaten by a Grue...

Amazing: I’m up Rn at 5:37AM playing it. I never thought I would get so invested in this game. Taylor’s character seems so real and makes you want to work towards saving him/her. This game is also lowkey scary at some points especially if you play it at 5AM (please don’t unless you don’t get scared easily like me lol). Ive cried out of pure fear just because if I put myself in her/his shoes I would just breakdown and not know what to do. The ending is also really nice ! Definitely recommend !

Superb Game. Lifeline is extraordinary. I found myself thinking about Taylor's situation in the course of my day, just like I do with characters as I am reading an absorbing book. In fact, Lifeline is so well done I had to resist putting the app on "Fast Mode". Instead I just let our protagonist get back to me whenever she/he could, in the app's normal approximation of time. I didn't want to just fly through the story. That's right—there is not necessarily a "gender" indicated for Taylor. I wonder how many people even notice? What’s cool is I didn't even realize that particular detail, at first. My image of the character formed, naturally, from my own preconceptions, which I then had to examine. This subtlety is something I respect about Lifeline. It allows for interpretation, instead of spelling everything out. The powers of the imagination, when paired with good writing, can travel great distances.
