Awful sound. The feedback on this app is absolutely terrible and full of noise. I can barely hear my own speech with all the background noise. I even tried this is a totally quiet environment and the noise floor is terrible.

Difficult to use, but eventually got it to work. First, this app has very little information on how to use it or troubleshoot it. It’s very frustrating. My speech therapist recommended it to me, and even she had trouble getting it to work during my appointment. Second, I figured out the order I needed to set it up in for it to work properly. 1. Open app 2. Connect bluetooth earbuds 3. Switch silent mode off I could not get the app to work if earbuds were connected before opening the app. And once the app is set up and you can hear the feedback, I was able to switch silent mode back on and still have it work. After 3 visits, we were eventually able to get it working. But the audio was still muffled and low quality. That could possibly be the noise cancelling feature in my earbuds. This is a common issue with cheap ones. I think the quality would be better if I invested in a high quality pair or use a wired pair. I would need an adapter to do that though. Overall, this app is a pain, but I experienced a little benefit

Not working. First time I ran I couldn't hear anything. Restarted and unplugged Apple headphones. All I can hear now is feedback. Not sure if this the apps fault or my phones. I have another DAF app and it works fine. So I'm leaning toward it is the apps faultiness.

Interesting “delayed auditory feedback” App.. This really does work in affecting one’s speech. I was curious if this DAF concept could really affect someone’s speaking ability and tried using this App to myself. I do not have any stuttering disorder but I did find myself speaking really slow while this DAF was applied to me. I find myself speaking about 100% slower. My brain just passively forcing me to speak really slowly as I read texts from a book. I also didn’t find myself not able to talk properly, I was able to talk and read texts perfectly fine but really slow. In some cases, it does make you not talk properly, confusing the brain in hearing delayed syllables.

Amazing!!!. As a stutterer I remembered using this in some of my early speech therapy sessions. I wanted to take that machine home with me. Now I have it in the palm of my hand. Wonderful app!!!

Great speech assistant!. Definitely helps with fluency... Huge thanks to the inventor of this app!

Doesn’t work. Boy am I glad I didn’t actually pay for this app. It refuses to acknowledge my mic. I’m on a new iPhone and using AirPods. I know the airpods and mic work because I just used them on this iPhone on Duolingo and had no problems. And I’m also using text to speech to type this out.

Amazing!! Truly amazing!. This was recommended for my teenager by her speech pathologist. Our son is also using it. He was overwhelmed with how the app significantly regulated the rate of his speech, and in turn, his stuttering! It was like an epiphany! I am anxious for them to try this white a Bluetooth headphone. Also, I'm very curious to know about research on long-term use...do users grow immune to using this method? Additionally, I would pay to have this available on an Apple Watch! Using this app would be much more discreet if it could be used using the microphone on the Apple Watch. Thank you for this awesome resource!!

Great for accent reduction. I use this app for accent reduction in English. I read the text and get instant feedback on my voice and pronunciation. It is more effective then recording myself and then listen. Thanks for the great app!

I’m honestly impressed!. I’ve had a speech impediment my whole life and I’ve had lots of trouble with stuttering and stammering. I like to use this app and read out loud to myself whenever I can. It’s a confidence booster seeing how little I stutter or stammer while reading with this app. I highly recommend at least trying it to see how it feels.

Not good enough.. At first I thought this app is good, but it turned out to be way too delayed.

Muffled sound.. When I ran this with a single AirPod the sound was unclear and muffled. For the system to work it must be very clear. Please fix this app

Pretty good app. For a free app that gives accurate feedback to stuttering is perfect for people who stutter. Once I use this app while talking, I am immediately smoother. This app helps to pick up on all the time that I stutter, so I know what to practice in sessions. I only wish the playback frequency could be raised to a higher value. But it is extremely worth using if you struggle hearing yourself stutter and wish to improve yourself for the better! Hey
