Pathfinder Adventures Game Description & Overview

What is pathfinder adventures app? Pathfinder Adventures, the digital adaptation of Paizo Inc.'s Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, translates the world's best-selling Pathfinder Roleplaying Game into an entirely new breed of card game, where players cooperatively battle monsters and villains, and acquire new feats, items, weapons and allies.

Role-players will find the game's character development very familiar. Characters have classes such as fighter, wizard, and rogue, as well as numbers that define strength, dexterity, intelligence, etc. You'll improve your character by acquiring new items, allies, spells, and weapons as you explore and overcome challenges; over time, you'll be able to customize your deck to better suit your own individual vision of your character.

The game can be played solo, or with other adventurers using built-in pass-and-play functionality.

Pathfinder Adventures is free to download and play, however, some game items can be purchased for real money. If you don't want to use this feature, please disable in-app purchases in your device's settings.

A network connection is required to earn in game currency during play.

FEATURES:
• Explore the towns, cities, dungeons and landscapes of the Rise of the Runelords campaign, including the fiercely-independent Sandpoint and the goblin-infested isle of Thistletop.
• Every locale has been transformed from a card image to beautifully enhanced and animated backdrops.
• Reactive cut scenes featuring Pathfinder's iconic characters.
• An interactive tutorial ensures the game is easy to learn for new adventurers and veterans of the Pathfinder universe alike.
• No physical card game set-up required. Pathfinder Adventures gets players straight into the action.
• Multiple adventure profiles so that players can experience the campaign using every character.
• Single player and pass-and-play multiplayer gameplay mode.

One of the best iOS games. I recently got back into playing this and realized I’ve never reviewed it. It’s a game i enjoyed so much that I forked out all the money for the added content. Not only because I wanted it but to support a developer for such a high quality experience. The game is beautiful and the learning curve, while maybe daunting at first, is pretty easy to pick up over time. The storyline is fun and the characters memorable. It takes awhile to hone in on better cards and decks, but it’s fun getting there.

Super fun, no bugs or crashes after 1 week of playing non-stop daily. The tutorial and the first scenario are free, so you can try out the game first to see if you like it before spending any money on it. If you like card games and/or RPGs, you won’t regret paying for the game’s content past the first scenario. If you don’t you can uninstall. Low risk, and potentially high reward. Try it out!

Here comes the flood game breaker. This is a great implementation of the physical card game. Alas everything was working until the final location of the game. Critical to slaying the last boss is the ability to reveal and order the cards in the location deck. When I use revelation magic like the item “revelation quill” the game ask me to bury the card and confirm the action. After doing so the game just glitches. Is veryyyyyyy frustrating after many hours of play. I have read that this happens to many people. So for me is a full con.

Wish they kept going. Only thing that would make it better is if they had more characters and adventure paths from the source game system, I would happily keep giving them money based on the execution and how faithful it is to the boardgame.

Novice and idiot beware.. I just started playing dnd and it’s confusing but I have a good teacher (DM) to show me the ropes. Maybe I’m an idiot or lack the attention to pay attention but this game is very very confusing; before, during, and after the tutorial. I feel like I’m just throwing cards here and there and everywhere. I play card A: I die. Okaaay so I play card B: I die. Alright.....card C has to be it: Nope dead. I suppose I could spend a whole weekend just sitting there reading every card to figure it all out but that won’t fix the fact that burying a card (the chain thing in the top left too) and discarding and this and that and this and what not, it’s just super confusing and I didn’t care much for the very long tutorial that got me nowhere. I’ll catch a ton of flak from the diehards that eat sleep and breathe this game but that’s okay. I’ll always have dnd and a DM in person to show me what the heckin’ I’m looking at and what I’m supposed to do and why.

I’d love to like it, but.... The idea of the game is great, there is a lot of depth to the game that could really get you hooked. There is more than enough in the free game that could easily satisfy my needs and be a great game. They have a wide variety of expansions and characters for purchase using real money. The big problem for me, is even after going through a lengthy tutorial, there’s a clunky character stats that makes me not understand how to properly play the game. Instead of a “Strength 4, Dexterity 7” it’s a “strength d12” and items with give you “+1d3” So I don’t know if I should use a bow that gives me “+1d6+1” or an item called “dart” that gives me “+1d4” Because I have no idea what items to use and which to discard, unless that changes, I won’t be making any purchases or spending time on this game.

Interesting. I've never played the Pathfinder system and found it to be interesting. I'm sure that if you've played it before, the game mechanics would be easy to follow. I found that I still felt a bit unsure after going through the tutorial. After the tutorial, there's a bit of a pay-to-play. I'd rather put my money into something I know I'll enjoy. Uninstalling.

Unfair advantage against the player?. I downloaded this game and played through the tutorial. It was neat and fun. A couple of issues with the messages not being able to be dismissed, but I can work around that. What I can’t work around is the bad rolls every game. When I throw a d12 and 3 d6s at a challenge and roll 2s and 3 every time I need to pass something crucial to progress and then bottom out against enemies? It just feels like the game has an unfair advantage against the player. Along with the micro transactions, it feels more like a pay to win game. I had fun for the first hour but the constant “You’ll roll low every time “ thing is highly irritating to the point I don’t want to play and it definitely doesn’t get me in the mood to drop money on it.

Only on the tutorials but so far so good!. I love the way this game is played! It leaves much to the imagination….. I hear about a paywall from another review but that’s ok so long as it is only once I have to pay. It is worth it because this game rocks. Will update after playing some after the tutorials but so far you get five stars! Playing on an iPhone X the cards are hard to read because of small print. An iPad would be much better!

Complex and interesting strategy game with a story. I am loving this game. I had Pathfinder card game at home but it wasn’t as much fun when we had to spend so much time on figuring out the rules. I love that this takes out the work and lets me have fun. I really enjoy the strategy of the card deck building and the choice of characters/location. It usually takes me a few tries to win a scenario, to get to know it and plan for it. I love the challenge. It is one of the few iPad games that I enjoy the playing of itself, rather than the enjoyment of “winning” or “gacha” aspects where you are collecting heroes or whatnot. In this game, I really enjoy the whole experience. I purchased the entire set of adventures, which is well worth it for the price, especially if you enjoy the introduction. The story/dialogue is brief but funny and enjoyable too. I am getting attached to my heroes! It did take me some time to really understand all the rules but that’s part of the fun.

Great game, flawed app. The game itself is fantastic and faithful to the physical counterpart. However the app has issues that make it painful to play. Linking with an asmodee account is clunky at best and there is no auto sign in or saving of account details so you'll have to put in your details every single time you open the app. This isn't a huge deal, what is a huge deal though are in main menu adds for expansions you haven't purchased that in my experience freeze on the screen and cannot be closed about 75% of the time, forcing you to close and relaunch the app... just to manually log in to asmodee again and pray the ad doesn't freeze again... or you'll be doing it all over... again.

Love this game. After DMing through some of RotR I was familiar with Pathfinder and the story, this is a great way to experience it. Love the card system and that it's single player and easy to choose how much time you have to spend on stories and actions. Definitely recommend paying the $25 for all of Rise of the Runelords.

tl;dr Game is buggy. Don't get me wrong I love the game. It's just that it when you play certain cards from the later modules they don't operate how the text says they do. Like there's this one legendary club that when you reveal it to deal damage the game will make you discard a card for it's discard effect. And when you select it's discard effect it discards the card itself instead of another card like it says on the text. These bugs are consistent on such cards and are something I get used to. But it's when very specific game interaction happens when the game itself decides to make exceptions to how such interactions are supposed to work. Like when I'm up against a specific enemy and fail the check to use spells against it, it doesn't let me make the same check next turn like it normally does for every other enemy with the same line of text. But if you got all the patience in the world to overlook these things and try to work around these bugs it's a pretty good game otherwise.

Glitched out. I want to start off by saying this is a great game; both mobile and the real card game version. I own the other 3 with all expansions and character packs just not this one so I dropped the $15 on the whole game except the goblin stuff. $15 is a great price for all the adventures compared to the price of the cards. Last week I spent the $15 and it worked well all week. I was able to sign in and even transfer to my iPad to play. Then out of no where everything just stopped working. It says I logged in but I don’t have any of my adventures or characters I paid for. It doesn’t work on my iPhone or iPad. All my progress lost. If it gets fixed then the game deserves 10 stars out of 5. I love the game but losing all progress makes the game crap.

Hidden Paywall. I wanted to like this, because I love Pathfinder and the Iconics. The basic gameplay flow as shown in the tutorial is pretty good, but this game masquerades as FTP when it’s really just a demo. As soon as you finish the tutorial, you’re taken to start a Rise of the Runelords campaign, where it recommends you form a party of 3-4 characters. Problem is, you only have TWO you can pick from. It also tells you you can make your own, but as far as I can tell it’s just you renaming an existing character. To get more characters you have to pay real money, or I suppose grind like crazy to try and unlock one of the goblin versions of them... which I’m not sure would actually unlock the character or not tbh.

Not fun at all. I enjoy difficult games from time to time, but this game is not worth spending any money on at all or your time. I have played from six hours and the game is so unfair and unbalanced it is ridiculous. I played during a two hour stretch and not one roll succeeded for two hours! The game says that a char with deck will do well in the are but then it’s nothing but isn’t checks non stop. Claims it’s a difficulty eight to beat a monster I roll a 22 and it fails. This game is the worst I have ever played on the App Store and that says something. I would love to get a refund but company has abandoned all support and won’t respond to refund requests.

Great game - a bit of a grind... but in a good way. A great game... it will be annoying at times due to failing high percentage chance dice rolls... but remember, it’s a dice chucking game, and if you roll 100 times, a 90% chance should fail 10 of those times. Once you get into the groove of the game, you know when to expend that extra blessing to increase the chance and when to accept a guaranteed failure. I went ahead and purchased Rise of the Runelords since I was having fun and felt a good game deserved the purchase, and feel it was worth it. I have had many hours of enjoyment playing different parties of characters, going back and rerunning the earlier scenarios so I can improve all the characters I like. And each character plays differently based on their powers and card options. Also, unlocking roles (after completing deck 3 with a character) opens up more options to customize.

Problem solved. Update2/4/18: The game has been fixed on my end. The problem was equal parts user error and the game being glitchy. However, I can now play the game and all of my purchased content is working. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants a challenge and likes card games 2/2/18: When this game worked it was easily a 4 Star game. As of writing this I can not connect to the game servers or the in game store or any of the content I purchased with my real money. I have tried multiple times to get in contact with the tech support for this game with no response I return. I hope in the future I can leave a more positive review in the future, but I am truly disappointed that I can’t play this game, and the developers don’t seem to care...

Great depth, mechanics, and engaging offline game. Pathfinder Adventures is a great departure in an age where there are so few games of substance that can be played solo & offline. As others mention, it’s pricey to purchase characters, scenarios, and expansions, but I find the depth of play, customization, combos, and necessity for strategy well worth it. Scenarios adapt to the number of characters in your party, and since cards always shuffled, you never get the same game twice. This results in a feeling of randomness where luck is a *really* big factor. That can be both a frustration, and a motivator to come back with a different strategy. Overall, I enjoy and recommend this app for anyone who’s looking for a solo strategic deckbuilder/RPG.

Fun game, if it didn’t have microtransactions. The game is really enjoyable, but there is pathetically little content unless you pay to unlock every little thing. It would be much better if it had a flat cost to download and you got everything. I’d be happy to pay $7-8 for the complete game, but not $2-4 for each of two dozen different unlocks.

Very Good, But Not For Everybody. If you want a deep, complicated dungeon crawler with lots of little fiddly things to fuss over, Pathfinder Adventures is top-notch. But casual gamers will bounce off it like a non-magic sword off a lich. Note: development is basically entirely over. I’d be shocked to see another patch released. Been four years since the last one. Game works fine and is still tons of fun, but don’t hope for more content.

Was a great game until support disappeared.. As many others have noted, the game simply no longer works. Regardless of what actions I take, within 10-30 seconds of clicking anything on the menu screen the game crashes. Normally I would just delete and forget, but I used this as an alternative to picking up the physical game and have made more than my share of in game purchases. This issue has persisted for over a year now over two different iPhone models and an iPad. This is rather disheartening and caused me to make the decision to no longer support anything from the developers/publishers no matter how appealing. I’ll update the review if anything ever gets fixed, but I doubt it will.

iPhone X support. Just picked up the game, getting great vibes and looking forward to putting more hours into the game. Only gripe I really have with the game so far is iPhone X support. Would love to see the game take advantage of the larger screens given the amount of information shown on screen. Keep up the great work otherwise and recommend the game to anyone that enjoys rpg’s

Great game...except. I love this game. Great game play interesting challenges. Deck building and level focused adjustments you will need to beat your he levels. But after the first level you can’t get the store to activate. You can’t purchase anything. You can’t move to the next level. I own a iPhone 7, so this shouldn’t be an issue. But it is. You can’t unlock extra characters. You can’t purchase anything from the store. There appears to be no store, just a button that doesn’t work. So low scores for a great game with no future....

Plays just like the card game. I see a lot of reviews on here that are complaining about a pay wall and it’s unfair to rate a great game with low stars based on that factor alone. Most games on IOS are pay to play these days. It’s just a fact of life now so instead of complaining about the fact you have to pay to unlock additional scenarios let’s focus on how many positive notes this game hits. (I’d also like to mention that the actual tabletop Pathfinder Adventure Card Game requires you to pay for each additional scenario as an expansion so this is no different other than you get to play the first three missions for FREE in this version) So here are the pros: -Plays exactly like the tabletop version -great graphics and cards are detailed -actually adds more storyline with cut scenes making it feel more like an adventure and less random -you don’t have to remember all of the rules associated with each card which makes things much easier -feels like an actual campaign -Game mechanics work well Cons: -it’s a little clunky if you haven’t played the table top version so may take some time to understand the nuances and game mechanics In closing I would like to see some of the expansions developed in the iOS version as this is a great adaptation of the tabletop version

All flash no polish.. I love the pathfinder card game. Bought this app, paid for the whole original dlc, and hoped that multiplayer would be in eventually. Two years later and still no multiplayer. Two years later and it is riddled with more bugs than when the game started. Two years later and everything is an in game purchase. I spent $20 on this, and to this day I am regretting this purchase. It’s embarrassing to even suggest this for people to purchase, items in game don’t work the way they’re supposed to, character abilities are not triggering the way they should. I cannot recommend enough to people to not buy this. Two years should be enough time spent to make some of this more playable and yet it feels worse than ever.

Couldn’t get anywhere. It seems like it could be a fun game. And maybe I needed to play the board game to understand this version better, but when I can not get past the first level and my characters just keep getting beat no matter what strategy I try, it isn’t fun at all. I even completed the entire tutorial, but once I hit game play the dice hardly ever rolled above a 3. And the rewards/abilities on the cards didn’t seem to count for much.

Caring Dev, Great Support, Great Game. The developers really do care about the players. I mean really care. I never write reviews but had to after some amazing support and seeing how much they want players to enjoy it. Each time there has been a problem, they have worked directly with the community to find a good solve. You just don't see that anymore. So expect this one to just keep getting better!

Incredibly inaccurate. I had the misfortune of paying 4$ for this game. $1.99 for the first set of missions and $1.99 for a monk character. Starting with the original two characters was not fulfilling the very next mission due to a series of “unfortunate” odds. I literally failed it 6 times on the easiest difficulty when I was able to pass the intro adventures in legendary difficulty with ease. When an opportunity is showing a 95% success rate and it fails, the statistics of that are slim, but still possible. When that happens 3 times in a single scenario, that’s unreal. I feel that there are “weighted” odds to encourage players to buy more items to increase their odds which is unfortunate since the people playing these scenarios have ALREADY SPENT MONEY ON THIS GAME. Be cautious, reader. Play the free part, it’s pretty fun and easy. The odds don’t work that way when you buy one of the adventures. Just an FYI.

Amazing all around.. Apple!!! Not wanting to pay for a full game is not a valid reason to allow a negative review. Come on, of people write glowing reviews and then complain about having to pay real money to get the full game, that should be grounds for a removal. As far as the game goes? It could be clearer when it comes to the rules and why things are happening. If you take enough time to learn it, it’s totally amazing. I hope they make the expansions.

Newest Update. First let me say I love this game. My wife and I play the physical board game occasionally, and I was excited to find the app a week ago. The newest update really sucked the life out of the game. I was excited at first and even bought the new character and scenario. But then I looked more closely at the changes. Before you could earn new scenarios with gold. Now, they’re all cash. It’s super disappointing considering I also bought the gold per day for a month. Honestly, if I knew this change was coming I wouldn’t have spent anything. Poor choice in direction.

Abandonware, impossible to purchase anything in the apps store. No update in 3 years and the “store” button is broken making the game basically impossible to play since you cannot upgrade or expand your collection or adventures. Very frustrating because the game looked fun and I spent quite a while working through the tutorials only to discover the rest of it doesn’t work due to lack of developer updates

Great game and app.. This game is hard. Progress is slow. The process and strategies involving the collection and use of cards and abilities (and luck) to win the scenario you are currently in is what this game is all about. It’s not a game you can just walk through; repeated failures are inevitable. But that’s what makes worth the $25.

Big fan but a couple of comments. This games help me get my old school d&d fix. I play the game a few times a week. I would play more if the challenges reset after being completed but you have to wait for the challenges to expire. Looking forward to releasing some new characters. I like the fact that I can start and stop the game at any point.

Great game with a paywall and many bugs that can ruin the experience. The game is for the most part, a really well crafted and an enjoyable experience, even from the small amount of gameplay you get for free (curse these new models for games to make money). You have to have a good amount of patience to get through the tutorials, and once you get a few scenarios down, a sort or analytical rhythm should be forming that’ll make the experience really fun and fulfilling. If the app icon didn’t make it apparent, this game acts like tabletop rpg games except without game masters and the imagination of players, but if you’re looking into tabletop gaming, this could be a good place to get settled into the dice, character, and turn mechanics that many games have. My biggest gripe about the game is the many bugs that pop up very randomly when i’m making plays that should save me some damage or get me a much needed item. Sometimes revealing a shield won’t give the said effect, or an enemy’s roll for damage won’t be affected by what their card says. It can be a little disheartening to see mechanics of the game switch and break, for almost no apparent reason. All in all, this is a very solid card rpg, that definitely deserves a try if you’re willing to put some careful thought into.

Scratch your pathfinder itch. I’ve had a hard time getting a group of friends together for a campaign lately and just needed some good tabletop fun. This really scratched the itch for me. The card element takes DMing out of the equation so you can focus on progressing through quests, upgrading your characters stats and building your deck which is kind of like their inventory. It even has pass and play multiplayer!

Challenging but fun. Very true to the card game, which I only got to play once due to the long time setting up, shuffling, resetting, etc. This is the perfect format for playing the game. I have occasionally had to back out and resume game to overcome a glitch, and on a few occasions it’s made me doublefight every fight in an entire adventure (nit just the ones that say fight twice), but overall it is great.

Unfulfilled potential. I love the game, and unlike many complainants I have no issue with developers actually charging for their products. (Spend money? The horror!) However, as nearly as I can tell the game has been abandoned by the developer...no new content seems to have been generated in over a year. Too bad, I would have gladly paid more money for additional content. Definitely worth the investment to play through what is there, however.

Squandered potential. Game seems fun from the small amount I have been able to play without spending money. Problem is that the entire game is locked behind an increasing paywall. The total cost of everything is probably close to 100$ and there is no way to get the stuff for free. The funniest thing is that there is a gold currency in the game that you can also buy with real money but it unlocks nothing new. Another potentially good mobile game ruined by greed.

Fun but for a minute. While I did like the combination of card based items and the d&d elements mixed together, after playing chapter 1-2 the fun was already turning into boredom. The game is heavily pushing for micro transactions, not that it gives you pop up ads every few minutes or anything (thank you for not doing that). In order to get any new character you need to pay them, mind you the pay wall is not that high with a $1-$15 dollar range (rounded up by on cent) but nickel and diming your player base is not the right way to go at all regardless if you are trying to make revenue. Overall I liked the d&d dice rolling and card based equipment, however the heavy micro transactions is a huge deterrent in order to “unlock” characters which are actually behind a pay wall and don’t seems to come alive in the story.

Great mobile version of the great card game. Yes, you have to pay for it, but if you buy the whole adventure path youre getting 30 adventures and endless party configurations for replayability. This isn’t a free-to-play mobile game but you get what you pay for. It adds an ok story element and great music both missing from the physical card game that originally cost 4x the price of the full bundle for the app.

Pay to play. A friend encouraged me to try the game and I enjoyed it for about a day. Then I found out that you have to purchase every character with real money (except the first two). This apparently is a recent change, whereas earlier versions allowed some content to be accessed via in-game currency. Poor choice by the Devs: all or nothing. This might work for fans of the game, but for someone who is exploring and getting to know the game, this rude, cold, shut-the-door-in-your-face attitude makes me the opposite of a fan. Interesting that many, many online games these days use expert psychology to draw in new players and get them hooked on the game so they are more likely to pay. These devs must have missed that memo.

Very enjoyable Game!. Downloaded this game not expecting too much. Boy was I wrong! The graphics are superb and content is fresh and new each battle. It’s true that the tutorial is a bit long, but it is needed to get the most out of the game. I love that you can be in the middle of a battle, and you suddenly need to close the game for some unexpected reason and when you reopen, you are exactly where you left off!. You can play for one minute or 5+ hours (like I have before), and it’s a new challenge every time. The game does give you small amounts of gold for closing each small area, and new cards to use or sell for 1 gold each. It is a bit of a grinch game but that is what I like. I have spent some money on gold and a few chests. Guaranteed high level items in 1 of 4. Get this game if you want something to do to fill the gaps in your bus ride, waiting at the Dr. Office or just chilling in bed before sleeping. Just a fun game!

wont let me access expansion after purchase. i purchased the RORL expansion yet everytime i try to start any of the adventures it says i must purhase it in store but i already did and when i click on the button to go to store it even says owned, please help, ive invested alotta time & money into the app :/ just want what inpaid for then id gladly change my rating to a 5 star

Loved this game. I loved this game but for some reason it never wants to connect to the store. I came back to this game after a few years of not playing it and it is broken. I have lost all of my characters and for some reason it will not connect to the store every time I log in. Over all it plays like the board game and I'm a fan. I just wish that it worked better on my iPad.

What about the expansions?. I love this game! The adaptation from physical game to app is very good. It is nice that they provide a way to earn scenarios without money but truly the best way to experience the game is to buy the scenarios to begin with. If I have a complaint it is: why haven’t the developers added the scenarios from skulls and shackles and the mummy mask wrath of the righteous. I’d like to own them all (again) through this app. Keep up the good work.

Incompatible with iPhone 8. Whether it’s the functionality or the size of the screen, the game struggle to realize it’s full potential on the iPhone. The free beginner levels are great and definitely make me want to play more. Unfortunately no matter how I click or reinstall, I’m completely unable to purchase content nor access the game store. The game is simply not allowing me to play past the opening tutorials. Wish I could because there’s so much more to enjoy!

Feels like a tabletop game however. I really wish it offered a networking multiplayer function, I hate pass and play even if it was just a local LAN type multiplayer, despite the covid issue at the moment a full networking multiplayer would be nice. Also just noticed the game hasn’t been updated in 2 years? Anyway if the game had networking multiplayer, my brother, and tabletop friends would most likely be willing to dump money into this due to our innability to play together. Not everyone has a computer so TTS is out of the questions.

Needs a ftp option.. This game has loads of potential, but is only pay to play past the tutorial and first mission. Literally everything costs real money to unlock...additional characters (past the first 2), missions, etc. etc. Very, VERY disappointing from a pen-and-paper rpg company that is open source for all of their pen-and-paper content and whose developers and authors allegedly left Wizards of the Coast due to their constant rebooting in pursuit of gold pieces. This is an especially awful example as everything has a cost. Nickel and dimes forever This game has loads of potential and could have an easy fix by initiating a daily energy allotment for free-to-play players. As a general rule I ABSOLUTELY will not spend money on games that have no possible ftp option. It’s my way of returning the foul solo digit offered by pay-to-play/win only games.

First time to this genre. As the title suggests this is my first time ever playing a game within this genre and I have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised and impressed with how it works. The game plays out with a series of scenarios in which you choose your characters and several cards that each will have in their deck and you jump out into the wild to take down the mission. It does have an extensive and clear walk-through/tutorialWhich helps people like myself get acclimated to this style of gameplay. Edit: Glad to say that an issue I had was resolved promptly within 24 hours. I'm back to the grindstone of working my way up and enjoying the game.

Freezes a lot: good game when it works. Steep learning curve, but rewarding once you get there - patience required. Find a lot of bugs though - screens not advancing, freezing, etc.

Challenging and fun. This game is hard to get a grasp on at first but after playing the tutorial level a couple times I got the hang of it. It's sometimes frustratingly hard to the point of seeming impossible but the relief of finally winning a scenario is amazing! If you don't enjoy a challenge and would rather play something you can breeze through, this is not the game for you. Otherwise, I think it's great and worth a play.

Great to play.. Many hours spent playing this.

Best dice slinging solo romp since Eldar Sign.. Still a few UI bugs (no stoppers though) otherwise an amazing party based card based adventure game with stunning production values and excellent use of 6S+ screen real-estate. Up there with Eldar Sign and Deathwatch as one of my favourite IOS games.

Needs work, a lot of work. Cards and dice disappear and reappear at random from you hand or play area. Successful dice rolls give a failed result, not too salty over this as fail dice rolls sometimes give a successful result. For example you need to roll a ten, you roll nine, but succeed. Or you need ten, roll 12, but fail. Don't bother buying chests, most common items are more useful than rare or epic ones. Like a common ring of protection, reveal to prevent one damage Vs a rare broach of shielding, discard to prevent one damage. Basically you get to keep the ring in your hand an reuse it while the broach is lost when you use it.And sometimes you get different colour dice in the chests, a good way to waste my real money on something that is of no use in the game. Banishing cards to finish levels. I have to loose forever that epic card I paid real money for just to finish a level. Running out of time. Sometimes I will make correct decisions and succeed all my dice rolls but because of RnG I will not encounter the card I need to finish the level. And I permanently lost epic cards in the attempt to do it. Character balance. Mage, when you cast a spell, you get to draw a spell. Druid, as long as you have a animal in your hand you can succeed every dice roll. Monk, if you don't have an item to add dice to your unarmed checks you are screwed. Any character with the 'while there is another character at you location' ability, you never will have two characters at the same location. (You may explore that location faster, but you won't have the coverage you need) Could be good, but as I said, needs work. Also the link they supplied below is broken ad gives a 404 not found error. Looks like the game isn't the only thing that needs work. *slowclap*

What a time waster. I must have tried the first level 20 times with the two characters you get.... what a waste of time. Why is this scenario so difficult for the starting player? It’s a joke to be honest... forget about incremental improvement even picking up new cards makes no obvious improvement to my chances to close out the 4 locations. Bye bye.

Why no Kyra?. My favourite PFACG character is not included. Why? And will she be added?

Awesome. This game is hands down the most fun ive had with a phone game probably ever. Just get it

A+. Awsome game so far. Hope it stays that way

Awesome. Great game, great adaptation.

Great game. One of my favourite single player card games. Its a great fun game that reminds me of D&D just in a board game of cards. Its great fun pushing your luck and deciding on what cards to use when. Levelling up your characters requires thought on how you want to build them to progress. The game doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Unfortunately I think that partially resulted from a bit of a rough introduction to digital with some bugs. They’re mostly sorted out. Beginning the game can be tough for beginners but stick with it and it gets awesome from there.

Boring game. The concept of the game is fine it just takes way to long to go anywhere. The dice rolls don't seam right, it feels like it's rigged to fail you on the important rolls. Stopped playing after I got to my last turn facing the the main guy needing to roll a nine from eight big dice and rolled all ones, that sort of things happens way to often for me to believe it's a true random roll system. The cost of the extra bits is very high too, over all not wort playing.

Almost perfect. From someone who sees any game on a mobile device as a time waster, I have found this to be thoroughly entertaining. The in app purchases for content are fair - spend a little, spend a lot, you’ll find your money’s worth. Having completed the free content on the hardest difficulty, I dropped some change for the next adventure. It is addictive, the story telling is well thought out and the strategy runs deep. RNG can be a bit heavy at times like any turn based game, but I don’t get that dark souls “The DM is out to get me” kind of vibe. All in all, well thought out, well balanced, reasonably fairly priced...so why not 5 stars? There is one thing bugging me. The menu navigation just jumps on my nerves, with buttons not always being tapped as expected and sometimes entire turns playing out entirely the way I didn’t want them to. It has cost me more than one run. All in all a solid game that requires deep thought for strategy, and a little more patience than just for the brutality of the game itself.

Good port. I am enjoying the port of the game, seems to play a little differently, am hooked.

Amazing. Brings back memories of playing dungeons and dragons. Must get for fans of this genre

Flawed and buggy. This game seems like it could be awesome. But if keeps glitching. The AI does not always match the rules. Sometimes you win battles and they reset. Happy to rate again when it works properly.

In-app purchase focused!. You get 2 starting characters & 3 scenarios. After that it’s pay to play! The game play itself is excellent but it shouldn’t be advertised as a free game - highly disappointed after making short work of the free levels!

GLITCHES. This game is glitchy as, can not roll dice some times, cards that I beat said that I lost and doesn't share the same vibe as the pathfinder game itself, no real skill involved. An utter disappointment if I ever met one.

Almost good.. Great game until you come to the quill, scry and eagle bug on the final boss that freezes the game. And even with tons of people telling them they consistently haven’t fixed it in the patches. A disappointing closure for a game.

Elbow. Yay

Love it!!!. One of the best games I have played. Hard enough for a challenge but still fun.

Edited and Increased score.. Edit: several bugs fixed in the last update make this much more playable and enjoyable. If the bugs start in the next adventure path just read my previous rant below. :) Honestly this game will give you the rage, random necromancy damage for successfully gaining an augery card?? I love this game playing out of the box with real cards (no chance of random bugs makes for an awesome game) but this digi version is enough to drive me away from buying any more adventure paths. Pull your heads in Obsidian. The amount of time you delayed this game for I was expecting something flawless.

Quest mode broken. Story mode so far seems good, only a few glitches. Quest mode won't even start hangs on the splash screen. After all the delays to release i expected better.

Almost playable!. But for now, it's buggy trash. Purchases don't work, combat checks are spectacularly broken, the entire game is simply riddled with flaws. I hope it gets fixed some day.

Highly Recommended!. I too own the physical board game but this is WAY better! If you like the game then you'll live this!

RNG fudging defeats purpose of deck building.. Until they release an update which says "we decided to remove the part of the game where dice rolls are always designed to fail in spite of playing lots of cards to get bonuses" there is no point to this game. Being able to roll 7 on 3d8 + 2d12 + 1 twice in one game, and other rolls as bad is an example of how it's designed to make you lose to keep you playing, rather than providing content to keep you playing. Avoid unless the concept of app designers taking pleasure at the concept of your frustration is your idea of fun. This app has ruined the really good physical game, because now that game reminds us of this piece of rigged garbage.

Good but not great. There are a lot of interface issues and improvements to be made. I'm enjoying the digital adaptation but look forward to updates soon.

Best card game with flawed implementation. Best card game I’ve ever played. There’s tons of strategy and neat tricks to pull wins out. Highly technical and unfortunately very buggy. However still 5 stars as it’s the best card game I’ve ever played. Biggest tragedy for a hard core fan is there’s no more content being developed. Game should be considered a free to play demo with a full purchase game. Buy the obsidian edition on steam and link your iPad app — owning all the cards makes the game infinitely funnier. The chest system is trash and good cards will never be unlocked in the iPad version.

Can't wait for improvements. Awesome game!!!

Great game. If you love d&d or decent role playing games. Give this a try. Loving it.🥇🥇🥇🥇

Great Adaption of Card Game. Pretty much faithfully adapts PACG to a card format. Great additions of an infinite quest mode that lets you shake things up. Not without its bugs. But expect this to receive continued support and updates. Looking forward to availability of more campaigns and more class options. I suppose we should wait for them to finish this adventure path first. Exciting.

Frustrating and grindy time waster. I've completed the beginner and 1st campaign and trying to earn gold to buy the next one. The experience is punishing and not fun. I fail about half the time to clear an adventure due to suspiciously bad dice rolls - lots of 1s, 2s or failing checks by 1, or henchman are very commonly at the bottom of a deck. I've tried variations of party members and trying to get better cards for decks but there isn't an impressive pool of cards to choose from. This is poor game design where you can spend 15 mins and end up with no progression beyond a few gold. Was going to buy gold but the rigged RNG and grind fest harps turned me off.

Great fun - Worth if you enjoy the physical game. I have played through the Runelords scenario in physical as well and really enjoy the chance to sit down and play through it at my pace on all to explore variations outside of a long term group dedicated to it. Love it.

Text is tiny - can barely read. Played for about 20-30 minutes, but the text is so tiny that i couldnt stand squinting my eyes anymore. Plus the other reviews here are very negative. AVOID

Disappointing. Overly complicated gameplay. Limited content requiring big in-app purchases to gain almost anything of value. Items etc gained/purchased aren't permanent and are lost if not equipped.

No store. The basic free game is great, but the store function is not operational. You can't buy more characters, or more adventures. It's a shame.

Decent game. It is a good game with lots of challenges, and the mechanism is great. The only problem is usually I'm expecting a balanced multiplayer competition in a card game but this one doesn't offer this. 11/01 updated: why this game so expensive? I don't understand how come it should cost 38 dollars to get most of experience in this game! I really don't think this game worths the price it asks.

Hard, but totally awesome.... A great and complex game that gives you a little bit more each time you advance. True, the biggest struggle is getting through the first couple of levels, but I'm about to finish the sixth and final campaign in solo mode (hint: Kyra and her healing power is a great start for new players). I haven't spent a dime on this game as the coin spend is a little overpriced but the mechanics and gameplay are really quite amazing...definitely a good investment of time!!!

Better than the board game. I own the board game, this does it all better. Fantastic implementation.

Pathfinder. So if you are up for spending 42.99 to actually seriously play this game then by all means go for it . If you’d like to play it for free you won’t be happy. They give you two weak characters and that’s it. You have to pay for the rest and it’s impossible to do much with them. Oh did I mention there’s a time clock? Yeah...you get a limited amount of time to find and beat the bad guys. Then you must start over. Is it a good game and imaginative? It could be if they weren’t out to rob you blind. It’s a Pity. It has real, potential.

Quite Challenging. I love Hearthstone, MTG etc. but this is something really unique. It is a little overwhelming learning everything but as you play more it becomes clear. I'm loving the concept and I'm looking forward to progressing through solo.

Don't spend ANY money on this app!. The game is ridiculously hard. I failed the beginner level 8 times before ragequitting. I foolishly spent money trying to acquire gold and cards and characters to make it easier. The app doesn't tell you that you can't use any of the cards you pay for unless they happen to be part of the scenario deck and if it is part of the deck, then you MAY have a chance to win that card in play. You can't start a scenario with the cards you bought. Most of the cards I purchased are only available in later scenarios that I have no hope of reaching because the monsters in the beginner level are so overpowered. Also, if you add characters to your party to make it easier, the game moves the goalposts back further so there's no actual benefit. There's also no in-game support. It's a huge rip off.

Enjoyable but buggy. Has potential

Very decent. Loving this game. Complex mechanics and a lot of dice rolling. D&D heaven!

Great game. This is a very fun game. Great mechanics and strategy with very fun RNG. Pay to play aspects are very fair: you start with enough to play for at least 10h earning gold while connected to the internet in order to buy more content. Learning curve is a bit steep but in the end the game turns out very worthwhile, it is unobtrusive, speeding up your quest for more content is fairly priced and the gameplay does not get boring. Even if you plan not to buy in app purchases you should still be able to squeeze 20+ hours before the grind gets a bit overwhelming. Would recommend.

Store locked. It seems like most of the game and store are locked behind connecting to a social network. Unfortunately that feature seems to be bugged.

Good memories. Excellent! A fond la grotte!! Fait le tour 3 fois en real card, encore envie de le refaire en application. Bonne idée les challenges.

How to make an rpg unfun. I had fun with the first adventure and payed $20 to unlock it (AAA price for mobile) That is pretty much where the fun stopped. In the next adventure I completed the first 3 scenarios. This took me a least 15-20 tries each and I’m pretty good at deckbuilders. Basically the time limits on each scenario are so short that you have to be super lucky to win. Anything goes wrong you might as well forfeit. Doesn’t feel like any of your decisions on anything matter. Then there are the bugs. Crashing cards locked on screen, and the last straw for me dumping one of my character’s set of cards. I’m done put your 20+ dollars into a gotcha you’ll have way more fun.

Pay only. Changed the whole store from in game currency to real currency without warning. Thx guys. Deleted

Pathfinder for Days!!!. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes deck builders. I have played the paper version of this game with friends. Several bags of chip have been eaten and several cans of Pepsi have been drank. 🤙

Money, money, money.... I’m annoyed... this is a lot of money for a game I own. Why do I have to buy cards I own??? I bought the actual game, why do you need my money again? Can I bring the board game back and you transfer it on here? This isn’t a free game it’s a preview... get your credit card ready... I’d like to welcome pathfinder to the big time... keep ripping off your customers.

Great game..... but. I've now been playing this game for several months and really enjoy the story line as well as the nuances (specific characters speaking versus others). I enjoy trying to find the right mix of cards to make adventuring easy and groan every time when an almost sure roll fails. This game is extremely fun and for the most part a great way to pass the time. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 is that there are still quite a few frustrating bugs that make you have to quit a campaign. For example when you have to bury a card that you discard but that card can be recharged you are stuck in a loop. When you use a card to move another character to a location that makes them discard a card it will also put you into a state where you cannot proceed and several other situations that seem to involve burying, discarding or using cards as well. If these bugs were fixed then I would recommend this app 100%. The bugs are all that are keeping me from dropping some money into this app to help support the project.

Love this game. I just love the boardgames apps that make playing your favourite co-op games easier to play solo

Game is fine if you can jump through hurdles to make it work. Linking this game with my paid for pc version has been a nightmare. I’ve tried various different things but this game seems to be specifically designed so as to not make it as hard as possible. One awesome feature: once you login you _cannot_ log out and login with another account. I emailed the company a week ago, and followed up, to no response. So... only get this game if you don’t want to link devices, I guess. Or will ever need customer support.

Rigged PTW. If rigged dice code and micro transactions sound like fun, plus a nickel-and-dime mentality is frosting on your cake, this is the game for you. I would rather peel off and eat the skin from. Y own face than play on there minute of this fetid pile of cheat ridden fail-ware.

Pretty damn good. Still a bit buggy...but they are few and far between. And it's VERY enjoyable. Worth it for me and I bought the full 6 adventure package.

Played for nothing. Played this game like a maniac, got a lot of gold, was about to buy some characters but there was an update first... lol now you need to pay real money for anything that was in game currency, big waste and you just lost a fan

Very fun and fair value. Looked at buying actual card game a few years back but passed as I would end up playing it solo which is too much work for me. This makes it playable and fun solo. Does all the fiddling and figuring for me. I just miss rolling real dice!

Watch out! Goblins riding geckos!. Best adaptation of a board/card game full of goblins on the IPad!

Loving it!!. I loved the board game version, but this is way too much fun! Got me thinking about trying to get a group together for the board game again!!

Worst game I’ve ever played. Played for 5 hours straight, didn’t gain a single card or level and dice gradually became worse and worse to the point where I couldn’t win a single roll. The game has become physically impossible to win or gain cards of any kind. Winning is nonexistent and losing is quick no matter what you do.

Fun game. Great port of a great game. Now they quest mode is fixed, I haven't had any crashes or issues at all. Would be nice if you could minimize the battery draw of the game though. Kills my iPad in no time, and doesn't seem like a game that should drain my battery so quickly. Also, you should be able to default to your experienced characters. I've lost count with how many times i started a quest with new characters instead of my high level ones.

Hides IaP. Bait and switch. Pathfinder hides its In-app purchases until after the first scenario then starts bombarding you with store links. 40$ to buy the full game

Fun strategy card building game. I’ve finished this game using Rise of the Runelords three times now, including legendary. It’s both a card strategy game, a deck building game (as you gain loot you get better equipment), and character leveling game (as you gain experience). Despite other reviews, you don’t need micro transactions and I haven’t paid for any. It’s not needed. At first this game is challenging, but as long as you read your cards, know your characters, and read locations, it becomes easier. At the end it becomes more challenging, but it’s incremental and fair. Fun game!

Great game. I wish the characters were not so expensive. I want to try more characters

Addicting. Like..... way too much so.

Great game. Great app ;)

Buggier than a nest of ants. The QA team should be shown the door and told not to let the door hit them on the way out! Unplayable

Avoid this cash grab. This was a great game, which I spent a lot of money on for an app, then they pivoted into a cash grab model, changed a bunch of stuff and removed features - now its just wallet gouging junk. Look elsewhere for your card/strategy/rpg fix.

Worth the $20 price. An excellent game and worth the price tag. I consider it a better experience than the board game. But understand you need to purchase the full game to get a great game and they’re not giving it away. Since this addresses a niche market, I expect to pay niche prices.

Fantastic Game - Some Bugs. Great game. Very addicting. I love the desktop to mobile synchronization. It's awesome to see the adventures in card form. I have run into several frustrating bugs. They're usually UI related where I have to exit because I cannot move a card where it needs to go, or I cannot exit a menu or the click goes under the open menu.

Good game. Love it

It’s awesome when it works!. I love this game but still lots of bugs and glitches. I have to turn the app on and off about 3-5 times per hour I play. But even with this inconvenience I still love this game and I hope we get more adventures soon? If the developers are reading this an auto function would be great when the outcome is at 100% probably that you will get, recharge etc....😊

Good game. I love this game. I play it every night

Buggy. Locks up. Semi-playable at best. Constant locks ups. Seems to cause iPad mini2 to generate a lot of heat (never seen an app do that). Needs serious work. Won't spend a nickel on this until they fix. Stay way until we see a new patch!

Pretty good. It was kind of hard to understand what was going on in the game (I'm a beginner). Maybe the instructions could be a bit more simpler? After playing for a bit I understood what to do. Other than that the game had very smooth animations, enjoyable music, and gorgeous art!

French is missing.... Great game for d&d lover... Need to spend money to have larger adventure, but worth it. Very distractive and addictive... Miss French version...

Expensive 'free' game. The Pathfinder card game is pretty great. This version looks decent enough. However, make no mistake, this is fairly pricey. $35 for the actual 'full' game or try to hope to get enough coin by grinding the game to buy little bits. The treasure chests seem like a scam (not sure what they mean by 'rare' cards).

Most addicting mobile game!. I can't put this game down.

Made to frustrate. Had high hopes for this game, but after getting through the tutorial that's where the frustration begins. The dice almost never roll in your favour even if your at 85% chance to win. Had to delete before throwing my iPad across the room.

Updates to game ruin progression. I was really enjoying Pathfinder Adventures after my initial download and install a few months ago. I felt it was easy to understand and had enough complexities to constantly draw me back to play it. It was possible to play the game through all of its difficulties in order to use your EARNED funds to purchase new basic characters and adventures. Unfortunately, following the most recent updates, that has become impossible without using real money to continue any progress whatsoever. I was fortunate enough to “unlock” 4 characters and adventures with over 6000 “gold” before the change was made. I don’t appreciate the change as it deters me from wanting to continue playing because I cannot afford to purchase a “full” version of an electronic card game for $35, let alone the $4-5 for every character or minor adventure. This feels like incredible exploitation by the developers and if the issue is funding for those who build the game, I would tolerate minimal ads in order for the previous state of purchasing with EARNED gold instead of real money.

Magnifique. It's very good! If you enjoy the pathfinder card game you'll love this app. Bravo :)

Too much hassle. I really enjoyed this game but it has been bug after bug after bug. Having paid the full $40 (which is a large sum for an iOS game) I am annoyed that major issues like crashing upon startup are not immediately addressed with the release of each update. Will refrain from any more Obsidian purchases until the devs start taking these issues seriously. Browsing through the forums it would appear my experience is shared by many others, and they have way more patience and faith than I do. Going to refrain from rating this as 1 star, hopefully the devs will live up to the trust of their many loyal customers/fans.

Great Game!. This game is every bit as good as the original card game. Actually I think it is better because it doesn't take months to finish a small campaign with friends. The only gripe I have is that when you are in the party editor and going through their items it crashes. Once it crashes once, it crashes every few minutes. Likely a memory leak in that area. I hope they fix this issue because it is super annoying and the game is very fun...

Love it!. Well made. It brings me back to my D&D days. Someone said it was a cash grab, but I don’t see that. You can play for free with out any problem. I chose to get the daily gold deal for a couple of bucks a month. For the amount of time I spend playing, believe me it’s a steel Thanks for great game devs

Great D&D style game!. I'm a big fan of the D&D genre so I was really thrilled when I found this game! Its really fun and I like how you can save up cards during the scenario to help your allies later when they fight a boss (you will need those extra dices!). F2P complains a lot about the store change but its really not a problem for me. I buy games for 50$ just from watching their trailers. I got to play this game for free to "try it" and it was really fun so I'm more than glad to buy all the DLCs to enhance my gameplay. I'm still a newb so I spend money to buy charms that help increase my dice rolls (you really don't have to) and to me its worth. The only thing I would say is disable treasure chests rewards appearing during your first gamethrough because it becomes overwhelming real quick!

Crashes before starting. Currently can't press Continue without the game crashing. Before that was buggy but still enjoyable.

Great game. Very enjoying wish they add more add-one.

poor advertising. It is already hard to get new players due to the difficulty of this game. In addition, this game is very expensive to get new expansion.

Broken. I never got past the loading screen.

Full of bugs. For some reason I can’t access store and can’t connecté to asmodee net either si Im stuck after free scenarios

Pathfinder rocks!. Love this game. Great way to pass time for old school D&D lovers.

Wow wasn’t expecting that so quickly.. One of the first things you will notice is how inconceivably pay to play this game is, can’t move an inch without the developers reaching into your pockets to see if you have any money left for them. I uninstalled after only one hour, not worth it at all.

Am I Playing This Right. I play game after game, and I still lose. Not fairly, just...because. The goal to defeat a guy is 10, I roll 11. It claims I lost and must discard 5 cards. And not once....multiple times. I don’t mind losing. I mind losing for no reason

Card Overflow. Great game but needs to have the ability to permanently discard cards in the deck menu. I have so many cards (10 more cards then the max cards per character and max storage) with just a two character party that I can’t even play/progress the game anymore. Because I cannot Exit out of the deck menu due to the card deck over flow and character deck over flow.

Fantastic game. I picked this game up thinking that it looked interesting and would give it a go. I ended up playing it a lot. It has a bit of a random element but the character progression and deck building is a lot of fun. I would highly recommend.

Favorite game. This game satisfies all my game needs, and is the only game I've put any money into. This game scratches my DnD itch whole being the only mobile game I need. I hit a frustrating glitch recently and the support staff were incredibly helpful. Highly recommended.

Pay to play. This game at first has a nice sense to it. The tutorial is long but can be completed in sections. But this is all downgraded by the fact that anything beyond the tutorial const money. This absolutely ruined the game for me. The game says you need 3 to 4 characters to play but you only get 2 for free. I tried to play with two and I did not make it far. They have lots of characters and I don’t think it would hurt to make two more free so the game is playable. Until then this game is not worth it.

Nope. This game is a total pay to win game. They make the starting of the game very difficult which will make you pay for different packages or cards just to get through it. If this game was more free to play friendly, it would be much more successful. Until then I do not recommend playing this game.

I Was Ready To Unimpressed.. “Oh great...ANOTHER ‘card’ game!” .....BUT: it’s really well made, and just plain fun. Very pleasantly surprised! Definitely worth a download and maybe throwing them some $ down the line.

Bought full version, it’s gone now. Downloaded full version, played full campaign, removed app, can’t get it back. Won’t let me buy it again either. Fun when I can play

Fun game but. I have never seen so many 1’s come up on dice as I do in this app. If you need 3 or better on 2 dice, in this app odds are you will get two 1’s. Game itself is true to board game. Wish they would add more content or do another version of the Pathfinder card games.

Awsome. Very cool strategy rpg game, never played anything like this games card system. A few bugs but nothing came breaking.

So much content for just 15$. New to this and absolutely loving it, please bring more content and don't give up on this port!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome game big progress save issues. I like the game but, I have to reconnect my account every time I play and I have lost at least 4 completed scenarios in just a few days. It seems to randomly revert back to old save points with no rhyme or reason.

Problematic-no way to return to correct errors in set up. I could not complete the tutorial with three places merely because I did not set a warrior to the site or some other glitch. Could not move forward and could not move backward to correct the situation. And this was at tutorial level

Fun for a short time. I was excited about this until I realized that only 3 adventures were free and everything else was pay to play and how much money it would cost to get each module.

Nice game but doesn’t fit the screen!. It is really annoying that some games are not supporting new devices!

Many Hours of Fun. Many hours played. Spending a few $5 does help but if not grind it out and have fun. What's next team? Time for another?

Well Done. Well done app. I have had no issues with it except for logging into my Asmodee account. The game is good and I am looking to pick up a copy of the actual board/card game.

All Paid Content Past the First Levels. Once you beat the first three scenarios, you MUST pay real money to unlock any other content. Game also only gives you two free heroes to start but recommends a team of 3-4 🙄. Again, EVERYTHING in this game costs real money. Play something else.

Purchased Adventure Never Unlocked. I purchased the Hook Mountain Massacre adventure and it never unlocked. I tried again and a message popped up that acknowledged that I had already purchased it and that it would unlock so that it would download. That still hasn’t happened 24 hours later. Thanks for taking my money.

Holy tutorial hell. If there has ever been a game that doesn't seem like it wants you to play it - it's this one. The tutorial is so long and tedious it makes you feel you've literally aged a yest just going through it. If your game is so complicated it needs an hour worth of tutorial then maybe start looking at what's wrong with it. I finally got into the game and guess what - more gddamn tutorial notes. Screw this game, I'm out.

One of the best PVE rpg apps. This is about as close as you can get to playing a role playing session without anyone else. It's a deep, gradual and satisfying power build. The writing really picks up as it goes. You can play it for free, but the most common purchase is the full game, and that should tell you something. It's great. I bought it because I needed a new mobile game, but now I've forsaken my desktop and play this instead. Highly recommended.

True to the tabletop game. Great game, especially if you like the card game. I wish it was cheaper for the base game plus expansions. $25 seems steep. Or include the base game characters for free. Anyway, still a great game.

It’s great unless you enjoy being able to see on your phone. It’s fun, but ALL the text is entirely too small if you’re on your phone. I always have to guess or reallyyyyy squint to read the info on the cards

Spend 15$ on the pack it’s worth it. If you play’s the first couple quests and like it, get the 15$ pack, you get more then enough heroes to form a party up to 6 and all the adventures from the first game (referencing the physical card game). A party of 6 really adds to the strategy, customization, and fun!

Underrated. His game is underrated. It was buggy when it first came out, but now it is a well polished game. Obviously to play the game you will have to spend some money but the board game it is based on is more expensive. I’m looking forward to more expansions for this game.

Offline Fatally Flawed. Playing offline allows you to gain hundreds of cards in your "stash" (sidebar). I've hit a point where the stash is so big that it always crashes the game post-adventure and denies progress. Online mode supposedly forces you to remove excess stash cards, but I cannot reach that menu before crashing.

Can't access store on iPhone. Played as far as I could without purchasing anything and loved it. Would like to continue playing but am unable to access the store...when I click on the button nothing happens.

Can’t access store/ or content I already paid for. Well, big waste of money. Played his game for a bit, then let it sit for a while. Paid for the big package update at the time. Came back to it after the “update”. Not only can I not access any of the content I paid for, but the store is completely inaccessible. Great. I used to buy your guys’ll games all the time. Between this and the the horror show you’ve turns Talisman into I don’t think I’ll be buying anything from Asmodee again.

Good idea, needs work. I love the concept of this game, downloaded it over a year ago. The content was not as good as it looked, so I deleted. A year later I try again hoping they worked some bugs out, but I feel it is even worse. Fails to activate cards and powers on a regular, often needing to reboot...but when cards go missing it looses my already dwindling interest. Beautiful rendering of The card game, and a great thought, but needs great programming to go with it.

Fun and challenging. I’m really liking the challenge of this game early on. I’ve failed the first adventure 3 times but it has been very different each time. I don’t like lost mobile games, but this is one I can get behind.

Made me want to but the tabletop version. Awesome game, took some getting use to but now that I got the hang of it I can't stop playing it. I am looking frantically to buy the table top version now to playwith others. I would love if they added expantions.

Wheres my stuff.... I had everyone unlocked except for harsk, lem, and seoni, and the burnt offerings adventure, and when I logged on today, i’m back to just having the starter characters and just perils of the lost coast. I cant do any of the daily quests... and i cant get my equipment off the characters, which still exist in my collection, but they just cant be put in any party.

Great counter part to the physical, but problems arise. I do love this game I do, it is quite fun. But, a major issue with this game is that it is extremely difficult to even pass a segment. This may be due to me having lack of experience, but I just can’t beat the levels at all.

America loves you, game. Wish I could just delete the review, but the issue I reported is fixed. This is a great game and I love what they have done with it! Mwah!

RPG bliss. It's feels like old school RPG D&D and RPG card game, to help remember the good old days. Even though the free play is very limited and everything else is pay to play, I so will be buying it all. "Shut and take my money!"

Great game, my only issue is not enough expansions. Game is a blast, difficult at times, but rewarding as you progress. Definitely can be beat free to play, wish the game has more expansions, more loot, and more characters. Thoroughly enjoyed

Solo?. The app is fine solo, but the card game is really best when played cooperatively by a group. How is there no way to play with friends online?!? The app is ok, but to match the greatness of the physical game it needs multiplayer. If it had that, it would be better than the original!

No store?. Love playing this game on my phone when I'm bored, I've now played through the first three scenarios with very few bugs, but can't access the store to continue. Quite a shame.

Very very fatal bug. Found this out just now. I was playing tutorial 4 and i was trying to move my character i moved it to the complete wrong location and now i can’t move EITHER of them! I’ve tapped on absolutely everything and i can’t do anything. Please help or else this game is getting out.

Fun to play, but bug issues. It was fun, I guess. I played it for a day, and was surprised when I hit the second arc and had to pay money. Yeah, okay it was fun enough to pay to play, but the 'store button' didn't work for me. I couldn't get into the store to pay money for this game... oh well

Great game!. Love being able to play across platforms. The game was really intimidating, but the tutorial really helped. Mechanics have a surprising amount of depth considering that everything is done with cards and dice.

Pay to play. Literally. The game is interesting if you’re willing to spend upwards of $50 or more, but those just looking for something to scratch the tabletop itch should look elsewhere. The Tutorial and the first three matches are free but everything else needs money. Whether that is characters, coins, or the rest of the storyline. You get a rogue and a cleric to start, but you have to pay for any other characters. I would much rather see a complete game that unlocks over time with a base fee than be teased like this. My inclination is to give it 1 star out of pure frustration, but I think the game could grow on me because what little I saw was kind of interesting so I’m giving it 2.

Good core game, seemingly abandoned. The game at it's core is great. Fun and high quality. But the content doesn't go super far before getting repetitive, and the devs seem to have abandoned the game, with no communication or plan for updates. If properly supported, I'd give 5 *'s, no hesitation.

Angry. It used to be you could purchase all of the adventures with gold. Now all of a sudden you can only buy adventures with cash, making all my gold essentially worthless. I'm pretty angry about this. I've purchased a few items with cash before because I wanted to support the game, but if I'm going to spend the all money they ask for all the adventures I might as well buy the actual physical board game. I played this version because I cannot afford to buy the actual game.

Nicely designed app but no idea how to play!. The app looks nice and seems to work well, but learning how to play this game is like trying to fly a 747 jet airplane. The tutorial isn’t doing much for me. Afraid you really need another person who knows how to play to learn the ropes :/

Good over all. Just like the card game. While I enjoy it, aspects don’t make sense like mages using heavy armor and two handed weapons but overall it’s very enjoyable and complex but in a good way.

No shop?. It's a great game and easy to learn. Very true to the actual card game. The story is pretty lame so far and not necessary. However, the shop won't open to let me purchase the other adventures. I've played and conquered all three scenarios on all 3 difficulty levels and have nothing to do. May as well get rid of the app.

Just too many bugs. I really enjoyed playing the nine games before they game stopped working. I was unable to log in. Unable to use the shop feature (talked about by many folks). Unable to earn gold to move forward. Unable to... after only nine games. I am sure this app will be better in the future. It did teach me how to play the board game.

I love the physical card game. But I can’t figure out how to purchase additional characters etc.. I love the physical card game and playing through the tutorials this app is a good recreation. I gave two stars because something is broken. I cannot figure out how to purchase character add on packs. The store button on the collections section doesn’t do anything. So I can’t pay or play ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great game, would love more content. I love the game, I just wish it were possible to play the other boxed set campaigns. I know they're working on them, I just wish they would come out a little faster. That's the only problem with this game, I WANT MORE!

Best game ever!!!. I love this game sooo much! It’s the most addicting/fun game in the history of addicting/fun games!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIVE STARS!!!!! I love this game more than pizza. There are no problems, and no glitches!!!!!!!!! If I could rate it ten star… I would rate it twenty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
