I used to love this app, but now?. I love this app, I use it all the time, but lately it has been crashing almost every time I use it. What gives? Can you (developer help me with this problem? I using it on my iPad. Thanks

Low quality. Very low quality results..the worse I’ve seen from any of the ‘paint’ apps. Very unprofessional and not worth using.

This is one of the most creative apps of this kind. Just take some time to play with different images and options.

Crashes. Does not work at all. Crashes every time and you loose your work. I have not been able to finish one image.

Great app. You can make really stunning oil like portraits withe this app. I haven't tried printing on canvas but that's my next attempt.

Amazing Artistic Posibilities. It is like finishing a paintinting as fast as you can dream.

Update seems to have removed key feature.... I "updated" the app I've had and loved for years. Where did the presets go? Very disappointing.

Good job. This is a very fun app. I use topazlabs impressions on my mac. But for playing on my phone this is a very nice app. It is fast and does a good job of rendering the painted effects.

Presets?. Had to downgrade my rating. Where did the presets go? Please fix.

My Impression. This app enhances my photography in a way that brings out more depth and a broader perspective in a way that encourages me as an artist to explore and think outside the box❤️

Works Great!. I just got it as a free app of the day and installed on iPad Air 2. No problem opening and modified photos with no problems at all. To those have update problems, I would recommend deleting and reinstalling app. I've similar problems with other apps and that always did the trick.

Love it. I love all of their apps. As a self-teaching artist who is also slightly colorblind and dyslexic, being able to see either my own paintings or my photos in various palettes is so helpful for preventing unnecessary mistakes. Seeing possibilities that my peculiar challenges might never work out is something I am very grateful for. Thank-you for making these apps!

Update has problems. I have app on three iPads. I finally updated the app on one of the iPads. Uh oh! It crashes constantly and loses whatever was being worked on. I will not update on other iPads.

Love it. Absolutely fabulous. Would even pay twice for what I got. Highly recommend!

Old retired guy. Great app. The effects that you can apply to photos really work well and create wonderful images from photos.

APPsolutely the BEST!. I've tried dozens of painting apps-disappointed by ALL until now! In other apps I was sometimes saving my finished product (still not to my liking) and going into another painting app or photo editor to play with contrast and shadows to achieve the style I most desired... well not anymore- First of all, it's the easiest to use right from the start and second, even though I am patient and willing to work hard to end up with something I'm proud of-I don't have to! I feel it's almost ONE TOUCH simple!!! Very, very VERY pleased!!! WOW- you guys have something great! Thank you

Not worth the price. I am very disappointed with this app. Doesn't come with the presets you need to make edits. Don't waste your money!

Impressa. This is a great app. I've made both wonderful portraits and landscapes with it and it is very easy to use. Recommend highly.

I'm loving it. I've only had this app for a few hours but I love it! It's easy to figure out and my pictures look fantastic.

Great landscapes. Best photo to painting app I have. Nice way to short cut backgrounds or use as foundations for further digital customization for illustrating. Just hope this doesn't put artists who still use brush and canvas out of business.

Love this app!!. Fantastic app. Does an excellent job of converting photos to an oil pastel-like finish. Just gorgeous. As a graphic artist, I can highly recommend this app to professionals and amateurs alike. You will not be disappointed in the results. One note to the Jixipix creative team -- I love everything you do, but I was wondering if it's possible to install a progressive or early stop button on this app that freezes the brush strokes before the work is completed, allowing for a slightly unfinished look?

Photographer. Love it mostly.. A great app for adding texture and fell. Certain photos it's better on, depending on the color, type of light, quality of a photo will determine the viable application of this tool.

Love it!. I am an established professional Artist. It is fascinating to watch this app create what I take hours & days to accomplish in seconds! Lots of ways to tweak it & have gotten results very similar to my results. They look like honest to goodness paintings. The best one I've seen so far! Now I need this company to come up with a realistic watercolor effects app. Haven't found one that is satisfactory yet. I use this app to break down all the fine details in a photograph to keep me from getting caught up in just making a recreation of a photo. Printed on canvas paper, one would have a hard time once having a varnish applied & framed between the real painting & the the app image.

Crashes after white screen. This app doesn't work on my iPhone 5s 64g. When a photo is loaded, it takes forever for the app to render, the render icon is moving then a blank white screen appears then the app crashes. It's been deleted, phone rebooted, and the app reinstalled several times to no avail. I've written to the developers and hopefully this bug will get fixed soon. I can't really review this app as I cannot get it to work. If they fix this then I'll hopefully be able to change my review. Otherwise I just thew my money at them as this is a broken app.

Cool app. I have really enjoyed this app so far. I have not used it enough to notice any problems and I have not printed anything so I cannot comment on the quality of the images.

A Dream App. There is so much to love about this impressionist paint/art editing app! It's easy to use, has options to tweak the preset styles, and is consistent in its heartiness (no crashing, everything works without fuss). My hesitation to giving 5 stars is that I wish for various brush types like rough, wet, dry, and controlled angle (which I'm sure with updating could turn this app into a "world's best" for the style). So JixiPix, any chance you will make those improvements? Please???

LISTEN TO ME.... I have HUNDREDS of art apps. ANYTHING BY JIXIPIX IS FANTASTIC. I buy them as fast as they develop them. I have had so many compliments on their enhanced software, I feel guilty taking the credit for this developers photo apps!

Best app of its kind, ever!. Just purchased Impresso and absolutely love it! Deserves 10 stars! Makes my photos, collages, everything look stunning! There are so many artistic renders to choose from, plus tweaks to canvas, colors, etc. No crashing problems on my iPad Air 2 and iPad 4. Get this app and prepare to be amazed!

Even your blurry photos come out pretty. I LOVE this app! It really does a great job with that true painted look, not a photo-turned-painting look you often see in other apps that look fake. And the various light and painting stroke choices makes it hard to decide which is best because it all looks so good. Get it because you will finally make that slightly unfocused photo look great!

Don't believe the hype. Don't believe the hype with this or any of this developers other applications. He must've had his kids and friends right all of the reviews. This app is less than spectacular. As a matter of fact, it is quite disappointing as are the others I also paid to try out.

Best painting Simulation!. This is by far my most favorite app for apply a painted look to my photos! It adds very little if needed and even where the loupe is placed to keep detail blends in nicely. Thanks Jixi Pix for another 5 star app!!

Perfect finishing and/or starting app. I just love this app for loosening my first paintings and for finishing up. The presets are very cool. I kinda wish for layers now and then, but I would probably fiddle too much anyway.

My new obsession. As a long time amateur photographer I have often wished I had the talent to turn my love of landscapes, florals, and still lifes into Impressionist "masterpieces". This app does that for me. Just started using it on new shots taken in Paris, and I am thrilled with results. Awesome !!

What the heck happened to the presets?. I LOVED this app ! I loved it up till last month so much I had bought the $40 version on my mac. What the heck did they do with all the wonderful presets across the bottom of the screen that let you choose many many color tones????? It is not good at all now!! I don't have hours to try every conceivable combination of possibilities. Esp with only the three sliders. I have 5 jobs. BRING BACK the presets!

Cool effects, but crashing. On initial use, the functionality is quite good. The effects are very human. The app is hampered by crashing. I'm on an iPhone 6 with 128 gig and plenty of room. It shouldn't be this unstable. Test and update please!

Great app for an impressionistic feel... What I like best is the ability for almost limitless customization of the effects and the ability to save presets after tuning them. I'd give it five stars if there was a way to turn off the default (apparent) that means there is a white border that must be turned off for EVERY effect if one wants paint all the way to the edge of the canvas.

Great for landscapes. I can't seem to get the hang of making portraits with fine faces and thickly brushed backgrounds, but the landscapes I used this on turned out really beautiful!

Beautifully rendered "paintings". This app does an absolutely wonderful job rendering a digital painting. Their desktop app for the Mac is also superb. I would like to see a paintbrush option for rendering detail in this app vs the elliptical process.

Designer. I loaded this app about two hours ago and I cannot leave it alone! The effects are way beyond my expectations...amazing! Would be great if you could tweak the saturation of color, to give more of a dry brush effect, but that is so minor in comparison to how dynamic my images look. This really duplicates impressionism, when using the right type of photo. Definitely worth the small investment.

Love this app. I love how many choices there are to adapt photos into painting-like images. Very handy for artists who are training themselves to see less detail.

Great app for rendering my images as paintings. This is exactly what I've been looking for. The app is very easy to use, just like all the other JixPix apps. Impresso works nicely on my 3rd? generation iPad and after using it this afternoon, I have a few suggestions to make the app even better: 1. when using the ellipse tool, allow the user to fully change the size, shape and location of the ellipse before rendering. 2. Add a hue slider (maybe with an eye dropper) to better change the color mood of the painting. 3. Add a directional/adjustable light source to enhance the drama of the painting. These are just a few things that came to mind after using the app for an hour, but over all - I love what this app does for my Africa images! Thank you for producing such easy to use apps that really enhance my photography😃 Update 2/19/15. Thanks for adding the apply detail button to the ellipse tool - much better to work with😀
