Best app to share family photos. I tried 5 different popular apps for sharing photos with my family after I had my baby, and while some of the others have some nice features, too, this is overall the best one and my favorite by far. The main pros of this app are 1) no storage limit for a free account, 2) you can select as many photos and videos as you want to upload at one time. Other perks are the ease to order photo prints and books, nice organization of photos by month, and the ability to have some photos show to different groups of people (with free version, you can choose just for admins or for all family members). Easy to use, great quality, great app. Love it!

Love the app but…. I absolutely love family album and have used it with my first whose almost two now. It’s a great way to share photos with family without posting to social media or sending group chats. The only big problem I’ve encountered so far is that it won’t create my new daughters page. It’s been well over a week and still says “creating”, like I get it could take a few days but this long feels really excessive. I purchased the premium to be able to post my daughter’s pics for our fam but if it won’t even create her profile (which is why I got it in the first place) I’ll probably cancel it. Another minor issue is that the help area in settings is just a bunch of questions with answers and no actual way to contact someone for help. Overall I do really like the app, but there are definitely some things that need to be fixed.

Nice, but annoying ads. For what is does it is great. Very easy way for my son and daughter-in-law to share photos of my grandson. But....there needs to be a way to turn off the annoying ad notifications. I don't care that this is the 8th anniversary of Family Album, if I ever want to pay for them to print photos I can figure out how to make the purchase, I don't want notifications for things I don't care about. It can't be a complicated change. There has to be a way to create a setting like "only notify on new picture/video posts". I understand they want to try to make money from every single person who uses their app, but please give us the option to only receive notifications for the things we want to be notified about.

Revolutionary. I gave birth during a pandemic. The moment my son was born I sent a Family Album invite to the entire family since no one was allowed to visit. Since then, the family has been obsessed! It’s so much nicer and easier to post pictures on this app than to send them via text. I love seeing the entire family interacting in the comments and love the fact that they can now PRINT PICTURES! I’ve got a lot of family members who are not very tech savvy, so it’s really cool that everything is right there in the app if they want to print pictures for themselves or make a book! I got an ad for this while playing a silly game and boy am I glad I checked it out. It seriously has been a game changer! Thank you for this app! I & my family LOVE IT!

Love. Update: widget glitch has been fixed! Love the app, it’s a great way to share photos with certain people and not all of the internet. Also good for my grandparents who don’t use Facebook to see photos. Now that widget is fixed again I love seeing memories pop up on my phone screen. Original: I use to love this album but now the widget feature is frustrating me. Use to a memory would appear on the widget (I have the medium widget so not to take up as much room) and when I’d click on it it would open the app and take me to that same image it displayed as a memory. The past few weeks it has stopped doing that and just takes me to January. My husband passed away so I love to click on the pictures with him and my daughter but now I have to search for it instead of a one click like it use to be.

Additions!. This app is great for sharing photos of my baby with my family, since we are not in the same state as any of them right now! I love that I can privately share all of my photos of her with them. Sometimes, I don’t want to share certain photos of her on social media. A couple of things I wish they would fix is the fact that it pauses my upload when you have to leave the app for any reason. I still have it open in the background, but it does not continue the upload. Also, I wish it would show more than just the first three letters of people’s nicknames. She has more than one aunt and uncle. I know it’s a premium feature, but I wish the video length was longer for non-premium. Maybe, make it up to 5 minutes.

Nice App but . . .. I do like the app, & the quality of the layout, however: pls add a much needed feature for those of us who are iPad users w/ bluetooth keyboards: make the app automatically adjust for landscape mode. Currently it appears to be stuck permanently in portrait mode, incapable of recognizing when an iPad is turned landscape-wise , with the only workaround being that you can click on a photo, & that individual photo will switch orientation. (I had to go into the ‘help’ to find this out, & if there’s a setting for what i am talking about, i couldn’t find it.) From there you can scroll thru photos, but it would really be so much nicer if the entire Home Screen would just automatically do landscape when needed - thank you.

Awesome app!. All of our friends and family live across the country so when we had our newborn this app made it easy to post photos of her all in one place instead of sending out individual texts to everyone (this new mom was getting stressed with all the photo demands). This app makes it so no one feels left out and puts our little ones memories into chronological order. The memory book feature is pretty neat, I haven’t ordered one yet though but once I do I’ll update my review. I also have yet to see the 1s video but I’m excited to see that once it’s curated! The only thing I wish you were able to do is caption the photo instead of it turning into a comment. Overall, it’s a pretty solid app! 🤗

Love the concept some glitches need attention.. I I absolutely love the concept of this. I upload my pictures frequently for my entire family. However there is one person in my family that I do want to see pictures but I do not want them to comment or have the ability to upload pictures. Unfortunately, developers have not developed a way to only have a feature in which I can turn off commenting and uploading for one person in my group. Also,I have three kids and the pictures in the special features where it shows my three kids are always wrong. I’d like to personally be able to add pictures to their accounts and select the pictures myself not have the computer automatically generate them because the computer is always wrong and it’s super annoying to see my daughters picture with my husbands pictures on her thumbnail or her brothers she does not like that. Otherwise I think this is a great concept I hope that the developers really do fix some of these glitches or things that might’ve not been thought of when they first develop the app I really do like it and hope to continue to use it.

Used to love, now it’s wasting space. I used to recommend this app to everyone. It organizes the content, allows only invited people to access it, and freed up space (for more pictures/videos of my kids. Now, and for the last almost year, I haven’t been able to open it for more than 5 seconds without it closing. Nothing will upload anymore. I can’t get it to stay open long enough to save the things I have on there so I can move them elsewhere. Only reason I haven’t deleted the app is because I need the content I have on there of my two kids. Like I said, I used to recommend this app to anyone and everyone who would listen and even some who didn’t. But now, I barely want it myself other than needing what I have on there saved since the content would otherwise be lost.

Great app to share child’s photo on non-public site. I love this app as it’s a closed group controlled by the parents. Unlike one reviewer I do wish it was a little more like social media with something to allow us to see which pictures are seen by whom and their favorites. The latter is important because it’d be nice to know which pictures they like so that I can get them printed on canvas as gifts or other gifts as a surprise. Also instead of “other” for family invited it’s be nice to be able to write in their relations as some of us have nontraditional families. On that note when seeing who’s viewed the album it’d be nice to customize the circles. I have step parents so in our family there are three sets of grandparents and all I see is “Gra”. Grandpa? Grandma? Which ones? Total my child has 3 grandfathers and 3 grandmothers so “Gra” isn’t specific enough. In the comments their full title comes up. All and all I love the app including the little movie clips generated every few months although I wish they could be redone. I hadn’t added my pregnancy pictures or some early baby pics when my movie was generated so it’s missing those. Also a plus is the browser version. Great grandparents that aren’t too phone savvy use this option. EDIT: another request - allow adding captions to the pictures once selected to upload. Waiting to “comment” due to processing can take time & then sometimes I forget then having people asking me for info.

Best app. Okay I just had 13 reasons listed out as to why this is the best app and then my review just closed out (don’t worry the app has never crashed!) so instead of rewriting them all I’ll just say we live hours away from all family and they love this app as much as we do because they said they don’t feel like they’re missing out on our baby growing up and that’s pretty priceless (but the app is free (and no ads?!) so like … it really is priceless). So instead of me rewriting all 13 reasons just trust me you will love this app if you have kids and family/friends that want to see pictures/videos of them 😁 also just in case you’re considering using google photos, I like this better because people can comment and idk if google photos does this but once you upload a picture to the app, it won’t show up as an option to upload in the future so you’re not sitting there trying to remember the last thing you uploaded if you only upload every couple days like we do.

Makes sharing photos easy. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was getting a little overwhelmed with sending photos to everyone in the family. My family and my partners. I am blessed to have many people love my son and want to beard him with those people. This app makes it super easy to share photos and fairly private. You send a link to a contact and that code/link is good for a few days for that specific person. They then get to enter their nickname. This is where the issue lies. I wish I could see who I sent it to when they sign up if they put grandma and we have 4 Gma’s it makes it hard. In this case my mom lost her phone and we didn’t know who had access to her phone and who signed up. Overall I really like the app I can delete the person off the album and it makes it very easy.

Great way to distribute photos selectively, somewhat limited interaction options. My family loves getting the notifications when new photos and videos are posted; it’s also so nice to have the browser as well as app option to reach those less phone-savvy relatives. Very neatly organized by month and I love the reminders about what happened 1 month ago, etc. A couple downsides are there is no way to add captions to photos you post and no way to “like” others’ comments (unlike on Tinybeans which has these features). In addition, the 3-letter preview of who has recently viewed the album is sort of annoying in that you can’t distinguish different grandma/grandpas, aunts, etc as their abbreviations look the same. This is based on the free version, so maybe premium is different.

SERIOUSLY THE BEST PHOTO STORAGE APP. My wife and I have been using this app since our daughter was born. We love that when we upload a photo, they no longer shows up as an available photo from our camera roll. This simple and intuitive feature makes it extremely hard to upload duplicates (which is fantastic). Another great feature is that all of our close family can see a photos we upload to that child’s album. We are no longer unintentionally spamming our family with cutie little baby photos of our child. They can view it are there our discretion. This app also allows the admin to grant access for family or friends to comment on photos. The admin rights gives the ability to restrict view to some of the more personal photos. We do occasionally use the free 8 printed photos a month for being a premium member. One feature we love is the monthly photo books. We purchase them and just store it away. They are great when friends and extended family visit. Someday in the future, these photos books will surely be a treasure item to flip through. I highly recommend the premium version of this app. I simply can not recommend it high enough and it’s truly a service to behold. If I could give it more then 5 stars I would. Overall a very user friendly app. The app is well coded and has extremely quick response times when navigating through the it.

Great App. We love this app! We use it to keep up with our twin granddaughters living in another country! The app is easy to use, there is a place to make comments, and you get to see the comments of others that have been invited to the album. An extra special feature of the app is that you can purchase albums, photos, and DVDs of the photos that are loaded onto the album! The DVD’s, photos, and albums can be custom made, or you can simply purchase an album that the app decides to build. We have decided to use the pre-chosen album, and they are fabulous!! The photos are clear, similar photos are next to each other in the album, the albums arrive quickly and are very affordable! Out of five stars I would give this a 5+ star :-).

Great app - hate the constant advertising. Family Album is great for sharing pictures with the whole family in a place where you aren’t relying on an algorithm to include them in your home feed and to keep them out of the feeds of complete strangers. That said, I really do hate all the in app promotions. I sometimes have to close two or three pop ups before I can actually see new content. And since you want to be notified when a new pic of the grandbaby goes up, you turn on notifications but that means you also get a notification when the app wants to sell you something. It’s disappointing when you think you’re going to see a new photo or video but you get there and all you get is an ad. Of course, the solution is to upgrade to premium - surprise, surprise.

Love it!. So I just signed up for the app and so far it’s pretty easy to use. The only this is for the mobile app I wish it would let you select from your phones albums, it would make scrolling through thousands of photos so much easier!!!!! Also being able to create separate albums for different things like photo shoots, birthdays, special events. Having it all in just one spot is ok but if you want to look for a specific event or photo it would be nice to have it sectioned off!!!! Also alerts/notifications do not work in the app like they did in the advertisement. That’s upsetting, I had someone upload photos and it didn’t alert me it happened, same thing with comments. All of the settings say to alert me but nothing!

Room for Improvement. There are a lot of great things about this app (it auto sorts the photos in a timeline; shows the kids age, allows for comments, creates a private way to share with family, and it’s free!), but there is also room for improvement. I used LifeCake (now BackThen) for years until they decided to change their name so they could start charging $5/month to use it which I personally think is excessive. When I decided to switch to avoid the cost, Family Album checked a lot of the boxes as to what I was looking for, however once I got into using it, there were features of LifeCake that I assumed this would have but it doesn’t. The two biggest to my family and me were (1) the ability to add captions to the photos, and (2) the ability for people to add “likes”. The captions gave family members more insight into what was going on and I wrote the captions from our kids’ perspective which gave the photos and videos “personality” and an opportunity for humor. The likes just made everyone feel a little more connected because you could see people were viewing the photos together even if they didn’t have a comment. I do really appreciate that the free version of this app is still functional in a lot of ways but it has definitely been a step back from the experience my family had using LifeCake. Hope there is room for these improvements soon!

Love love love!!. I don’t normally write reviews but I had to! I have been using this for the past 3 months, ever since my lil man was a few weeks old. I found myself sending the same photo to multiple people or taking multiple pictures and sending them to different people because I wanted everyone able to watch him grow and hit milestones whether they were big or small. I love this app because it allows me to share things but also the family members can add the albums so I get to see pictures that I’ve never seen! Either way, if you have a split family or even family far away and would like a place to put your photos I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Needs More Options, But Great for Parents. The #1 issue I have with Family Album is not being able to turn off notifications for one album without turning them off for all albums. Having multiple family members’ kids’ albums is great, except when their relatives that you don’t even know comment multiple times per day on everything posted. It is so frustrating. It would be great to be able to mute more distant family’s albums and check them periodically while still being notified about activity on my own children’s albums. I also wish I could caption photos and videos I upload rather than it being a regular comment. That being said, family album is essentially a private photo sharing app that works by invitation. It’s very handy for keeping your kids’ photos private but still sharing them with family members near or far.

I LOVE this App. I discovered this app a while ago before I even considered having a baby and put it in the back of my mind. When we finally got pregnant I downloaded it and updated it with ultrasounds of the baby as well as my pregnancy bump. Once he was finally born I added family who is scattered all over the US and it has been so helpful considering they only get to visit once every couple of years or so! Not to mention it is so much easier than sending individually, or if there’s something you didn’t want to put on Facebook but wanted to share with family it’s a great way to share them. I also love how family members can comment, save, and favorite the photos they love! It’s so helpful to them and a very easy to use interface. I am so happy that an app like this exists and I found it, I hope so many other people find it and enjoy it too! The only thing I wish it had was the ability to put a caption as well as a reply button so you can reply to a certain comment. Otherwise it’s a fantastic app! Highly recommend.

Love it, best of all the family sharing apps but one suggestion. I spent several hours trying a bunch of different types of these family sharing apps when our girl was born and this is the one I settled on. Although it has a cap of 3 min on videos (biggest con), it checks every other box better than all the competitors. I also love the “partner only” option, for those adorable pics that perhaps shouldn’t be circulated too widely. We’ve all been using it for four months and it’s excellent. My one suggestion (for now): When uploading pictures, i should be able to look at different folders within the photo app on my phone. For example, I often take 10 pics at a time and then favorite the one that is best. Then when I go to upload, I should be able to go to my “favorites” folder and select from there. As of now, all I can do is see my whole camera roll, which means that I have to curate the photos all over again. This should be an easy fix. Apps like Instagram have this feature.

I like this app but I paid for a feature I can’t use. I downloaded this app 4 days ago and upgraded to the premium feature so I could have Pages for my newborn. I want to be able to write journal entries, but it doesn’t let me? It says “creating” and I know it says it takes ‘days to create,’ but how long do I have to wait? I only have 1 baby and 4 days seems like a ridiculously long time to create 1 page. Or am I misunderstanding this app? I want to be able to update my family when my baby does something new, and from what I understand that’s what the pages does? Am I wrong? Please let me know. I don’t know how to contact support. If that’s not what this feature does then I don’t think I want to pay for the premium

Family Album is so good and great app, enjoying it so much!!. We really really like the whole concept of seeing all the pictures at a central place, and it is so easy to use it. we all see it every day and multiple times a day, and as we feel it ! highly recommend to anyone!! also like the comments section too!! keep up the great work, and keep adding more features if you think of, creative ones. Also is there a feature to download or forward a photo or two ( just a select few) to someone in the family/ friends. don’t feel like ready to/want to share the complete album .

Great App. I LOVE this app!! I don’t like to post a lot of pictures of my baby on Facebook because of the weirdos out there. But I still want to be able to share pictures of her with our family so I downloaded this app. You have to have an invitation from me to view the pictures so it’s very secure. It’s so much easier than sending pictures to each family member separately and I’m able to choose who sees which pictures. Each family member is able to comment on the pics and they can add pics to if I allow it. I also love that it creates videos every month to look back at the month before. I haven’t ordered a photo book yet but plan to soon. I would definitely recommend this app, especially for new parents!! It’s more than worth the $5 in my opinion.

My Family LOVES this app!. I am so happy we have this app. This is my first baby and I was tired of being bombarded with multiple texts from family members daily demanding photos/videos, all while trying to balance taking care of a newborn for the first time. I sent links to each family member for this- you just add photos/videos throughout the day and they can log in whenever they like and also comment on photos. Keeps me from having to post things on social media for the entire world to see and it’s so much fun to go back and flip through his development month by month. 100% recommend!!

Lame. I hate apps that ask you to give them a review until you do. Nothing special about this app. I’m happy to be able to view pictures of my nephew but I don’t need this app to do that. Cut out the middle man. Nothing special about this app. Just reminds me of MySpace 15 years ago. Only difference is Tom is not my friend. I think a 10 year old can come up with a better app. This app makes me hate my life. I hate this app so much I might smash my phone with a hammer. Stuff the shards of glass in my underpants and walk a county mile! I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump created this app. Look what I did, I took someone’s idea from long ago and failed at copying it. It’s gone a be a UGE! Really I don’t hate this app...I just think it’s stupid and if people buy things off it they are dumb! I wonder if someone will read this whole review? If you do, I’ve had a long week and can’t fall asleep. I’ve been awake for about 30 hours now. The only good thing about this app is that I can write this long review, that is it. Other then that I’d like to kick senior management in the head like Walker Texas Ranger.

Can’t get in. I’ve downloaded the app and it takes me to the page where they ask you to click the link provided from my family to view my new nephew’s album. Every time I click it the link they’ve given me (they’ve sent me the link on different medias and the result is always the same) it takes me back to the album store to download the app which I have already downloaded and when I open the app, it asks for the link….which keeps taking me to the app store and I’m in an endless loop of being taken to the app store and then being asked for the link over and over. I’m the only family member who has this issue and it’s beyond frustrating.

No Contest. I don’t often write reviews for apps. It’s just not something I’ve taken to doing. But this app absolutely out-classes every single thing I’ve ever seen or tried to use. It’s intuitive, it’s functional, it’s amazing across devices, the whole nine yards. I LOVE taking pictures. We’re a two-family system with the boys’ Dad and I being married while their Mother is married to someone else. This lets us share pictures with everyone without having the added pressure of Facebook or some other site. I’ve used the free version of this since 2018, but now that the boys are older and I’m even more nostalgic I’ve gotten the paid portion and it’s AMAZING. We love watching the 1-second movies. Uploading is super easy. Sharing is easy. I love that it separates by month and year and tells you how old they were. I love that it lets you comment on them. And I love that after you upload a picture it doesn’t show that same picture as an uploadable option anymore. Long story short — you’ve made an AMAZING app. I love it. And I hope it’s around for a LONG time to come.

a grateful grandpa. The following is a text from my dad and I think it’s a testament to this app!! My husband and I recently had our first baby, who is also the first grand baby on both sides. Unfortunately my husband and I live 6 hours away. Many of my family members including my dad are not on social media. This app has been such a blessing!! Good morning my beautiful daughter! Thank you for finding and using the album app. I have been enjoying the pictures and video clips so much! The joy of seeing my grandson during times apart is a modern technological blessing! Seeing Levi and the joy that fills my heart reminds me of how I felt with you and your sisters. (and still do) This morning’s clip was adorable and lifts my spirit. I miss you guys. I love you all!

Expand The Use Case. Why is this app limited to families with new children? I have adult children scattered and we would love to be able to create an album where each person can add pictures to it and have our own adult family photo album. While I am sure I can make it work, to create an album it says “create own child’s album”. When my children were young (more than one child), we didn’t manage a photo album for each one, we had a - family album - just as your app suggests. How about a second option that says “create a family album”. It seems like if I want to create a shared family album, but do not have small children, I am not welcomed to use the app the way it’s branded.

❤️❤️❤️. Love, love, LOVE this app!!! I just had my first baby this year and I tried out a couple of different photo album apps so I could share photos with my family without posting all over social media and keep them all together in an album that’ll stay organized and I won’t lose. This one is by far the best out of all the ones I tried! It’s so easy to use and automatically saves the date and puts your photos in order so I can go back and visit specific months. And if you’re sent photos from someone else’s phone and the dates get all messed up it’s super easy to fix, keeping everything in order. I just love this app and am so thankful for it! ❤️

Highly Recommended. I tell all new moms I meet and know about this album. Not only does it help to keep all my child’s pictures and memories private or rather to my select close family and friends. It also lets me keep all of my pictures and videos of her in one spot so instead of having to scroll through my own photos that I don’t want people to see. I just pop open this app and can hand someone my phone that I want to show. 🥰 This app has been a godsend - I use it daily to let family across the world see how my new baby girl is growing without inundating them with a text chain…

Nearly perfect. This app has been such a blessing. Due to its private nature, I have been allowed to maintain my privacy while still being able to share photos of my kid with my family, many of whom have smart phones but don’t use social media. I enjoy the convenience of being able to upload to one place without having to individually text photos to my family. The app and desktop version has allowed for members of my family who aren’t so tech savvy to be apart of experiencing the memories we share as well. I haven’t used the features of being able to buy the books for the month memories yet but I appreciate the option. A big thing I enjoy as well is that the photos are grouped by month so it’s not just one large stream of photos and videos. I would give it 4.8 stars until the app allows uploads to continue even when the app is momentarily closed. I’ve been uploading and leave the app to respond to a text and it’ll pause the upload until I return which annoys me. I also wish that the comment feature had a way to tag the person you are responding to so they become aware of a response directed to them, but that’s hardly been an issue. Highly recommend for the people looking to maintain privacy and control the environment in which they share their memories without having to resort to sharing over social media or being burdened with potential forgetting to include someone in a group text of pictures.

Love this…but I wish…. First off, I LOVE this app. It’s so nice and easy to share stuff with family. I recommend this to everyone I know. My only wish is that I could create a whole new album. I have a family album and I want to be able to have another album specifically for friends. I just wish i could click once and switch between albums. Since I don’t do social media anymore I just want a private album that my friend and I can enjoy pictures of our kids and such and have it be completely separate from the original. For instance, I don’t want to add a ton of people as admins in my family album. But if I had a friends album I would want them all to be admins. Does this make sense? Regardless, I love this app. Thank you.

Nice idea but could be better.. Just got this app today and I’m really liking it so far. It’s nice to share photos and videos without having to blow up Instagram to do it. One thing I’m not loving is how specific it is. For instance, to create an album you choose an option to “create your own child’s album” and you have to select if you are the “mom” or “dad” to be able to make the album. I think that makes family without children feel excluded. I think you should be able to create “your family’s” album, not just “your child’s”. There are ways around it, you can name your ‘child’s’ album “Smith Family” and say you are the “mom” and put say your anniversary as the child’s birth date. But this was a very confusing process for my family members that are a little less tech savvy. I do have just the free version so maybe this is different on the paid version.

Great app, here are some changes to think about!. Great app, allows our family to stay up to date with each other’s kids. Really comes in handy when making sure the grandparents get to see all the photos! No more hearing “I never saw that photo, why didn’t I get to see it!” which is a good thing I’m told. My wife and I just added our first album and thus far we’re liking it, up to know we’d only been family members. Overall a good app and easy to use maybe some minor adjustments would help it improve over time. Here are some thoughts: add a night mode, kind of like Twitter, it’s a really nice feature. Make it easier to switch between albums, it shouldn’t involve going to settings and I’m sure that is complicated for some less tech savvy users. Maybe make a drop down menu from the top of the screen like Instagram has added for multiple accounts. Allow users to organize photos from newest to oldest, scrolling down to see the newest photos in an album, especially in larger albums is annoying. Make the photo the largest part of the recents list, I don’t need to see a huge bubble explaining who commented what or who added it, make that information secondary to the most important part which is the photo itself.

Love it! Just one small suggestion. I never leave reviews, but my baby just turned one and I’m so grateful for this app. My favorite thing about this app is that I can so easily go back month by month to the very first pictures we took of him in the hospital. It’s also perfect for sharing with family members that aren’t on social media and for people like me who need to take breaks from social media. I love taking pictures of him and want family to see, so this helps keep it in the family. My only critique is the inability to tag family members in the comment section. I wish I could easily respond to comments by tagging to keep the conversation going. Still worth the five stars!

Great app!. I’m loving this app so far. I love how it makes videos every few months that highlight certain pictures. I personally like that it doesn’t have the typical social media feel since I downloaded this app to get away from social media. It’s wonderful to not worry about which family members have been sent a picture or not, it’s all right there! I wish the pictures would stay where the are are not rotate through every time you open the app. Would also be nice to choose your own photo that stays at the top of the month. I don’t find it frustrating finding which pictures to upload since I don’t wait to load a bunch at one time. I like how you can see the relationship to the people who are commenting. Would be nice to have other family titles instead of “other”. Overall a great app and I’m super happy with it! I hope it stays away from social media feel because I love how it is now.

DO NOT ORDER!!!. While this app is great for sharing photos with family, they also pressure you to buy photos and calendars, etc. So in Dec 2023 I chose pics and bought the calendar, even tho I could’ve had it made at Walgreens for cheaper and in a 2 day turnaround. It’s now mid-February, still don’t have the calendar. They claimed over & over it was shipped Jan 4th from Japan and there was no way for them to track it. After emailing many, many times, they finally offered a refund and I accepted it, thinking that the calendar is still en route and I’ll give the money back when I get it. NOPE. Still no calendar. They lie like crazy, because if that calendar had been shipped Jan 4th, it would’ve been here. Do not order anything from them, you will not receive it.

Love it. My son was born on July 4th. My wife and I recently had this downloaded prior to his birth to check it out but we didn’t want to put in the birth date just for him to arrive early or later. Overall, we have already uploaded 50 pics and I love it. One thing that’s opinionated for me is that I would love to see a filter at the Home Screen. I would love to open the app and to see July’s album then go through the pictures in order as they were uploaded. I would also love to see a separate album for “recently uploaded” so you don’t have to scroll through older pictures. Overall, worth the wait and recommend it

Love it!. This is a wonderful app! I love that I can easily share pictures with my family who don’t often get to see our new baby since they live far away. I also love that I can share photos with them without having to post pictures of our daughter all over the Internet. One thing I don’t like is that in the “Visits” section it’s hard to see who the person actually is when they all have similar nicknames (more than one “Aunt” or “Grandma” for example), since it just abbreviates to the first 3 letters of the name. I would also like it if you could “like” or react to people’s comments as well as posts. (A lot of my family puts a “❤️” comment on EVERY picture.) And maybe be able to reply to specific comments. Other than that, it’s a great app!

App limits you to 50 viewers. Love love love this app. BUT 6 months into using it we just found out the hard way that you can’t invite more than 50 people to view your album. This includes those of us who pay for premium. This is super disappointing because this limitation was not stated in a clear place by the app maker. Now that I’ve taught all my elderly relatives how to use this app I might have to switch photo sharing services, OR tell loved ones that I don’t have space for them — sorry cousin Judy but you just didn’t make the cut as one of our top 50 favorite relatives! Previously I would have rated this app 4-5 stars. But this really brings my rating down. I’m so bummed. Ugh.

Best of them but still not amazing. I love being able to upload photos and it automatically puts it into order of date taken. And I can easily search through the months. We’ve been using this with immediate and extended family for awhile. It would be nice to have more categories than just share with partner or with entire family. I would love to be able to share the app with family but let them name themselves rather than having to assign that. We have so many aunts and uncles and grandparents I can’t tell who is who unless it’s a comment. My biggest issue is actually that you cannot upload photos in the background. The app HAS to be open and it is SLOW. I don’t always have access to great internet but even on fast internet it’s slow and I don’t have time to sit with the app open and not be able to do other things or even just turn off the screen. Anyone with a toddler knows this is near impossible and when I do have time I don’t have time to just stare at this app. You can’t even really look at other photos while you upload photos. Please let me upload in the background! I wish the “baby book” feature of being able to put stories with photos had come out earlier. I was already committed to an app that I don’t love but don’t want to switch now.

Love with one suggestion for developers. This app is amazing! We are able to stay connected every single day with our friends and family during our extended COVID-19 quarantine and they all feel like they are able to watch my newborn grow up even when they can’t be there in person as they normally would be. One big suggestion that would elevate the app to perfection status: a way to like pictures and comments. It would provide so much more interaction by allowing users to like each other’s comments and letting them simply like photos without commenting, which many do not like to do.

PARENTS YOU NEED THIS APP!. As a new mom who barely had the time to shower in the beginning this app was a wonderful find! Once you get the chance to dump your photos and videos in, it sorts them by month (it knows when they were taken) and creates a month by month album for you, that can be shared with and commented on by family and friends of your choosing. It also gives you a cute little montage video every three months. (And more if you pay but I have the free version). My parents live across the country and this album has meant the world to them. A daily peek into our little Ruby’s world, daily growth and changes. I can’t say enough good stuff about this app!!! And no, I wasn’t paid. 😂

The most worthwhile app on my phone. I’ve never taken the time to write a review for an app before, but this is hands down my favorite app. It’s wonderful having all the family photos in one place and it’s easy enough to use that all three generations of our family can do it. I really love that it stores good quality videos, whereas when we text them to our family they get distorted or pixelated. It also makes us feel closer to our family because we can share stuff daily so even our family states away know how our kids are growing up. It’s also nice to be able to share as much of our photo library without bombarding everyone with texts of them. My dad, who is not very tech savvy nor a big user of smart phones, constantly brings up how much he loves this app and how much joy it brings him daily. Honestly, I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I love this app!!. I was looking for a way to share photos of our newborn with the entire family- but let’s be honest who really has time to be texting the same picture over 10 times because no one likes being part of a group message? And not to mention EVERYONE asking for new pictures all the time!! This app makes it so easy to just upload your pictures and everyone gets the notification there’s new photos. I love how people can comment on them and even add their own pictures if you allow it! Such an awesome app I’m so happy it exists, we aren’t social media users and I didn’t want my baby to have a social media footprint before they are old enough to make the decision on their own. Better connected and private. I can’t give enough praise for this app, and I don’t DO app reviews. We didn’t want our baby all over social media, not that I judge folks who decide to do so. What has become so special about this is that some family members on opposite sides of the family tree are now in better communication than they ever have been because they comment to each other on pictures. It feels like a more private and sacred space to share what’s going on with our little family, and has actually created better connectivity all around.

Great!. I found this app as another one I was using decided to force its users into monthly subscriptions… and I must say I’m so glad I found it! Uploading and inviting family was so easy! I’m so grateful to be able to share photos of my daughter with my family who have no yet met her because of COVID.

Fantastic idea!. This app is amazing! It lets me keep family and friends up to date without having to take time out of my day to send them all private messages or having to put the baby onto public social media. It’s private and personal, and I absolutely love the photo books that you can print. It’s also super easy to understand as none of our elderly family members have had issues using the app and are delighted to see their grandchild on a daily basis. I highly recommend this app.

So close to perfection. This app is so great, but a couple of updates would make it perfect! Please add the ability to like/heart a photo or video so family members don’t always have to comment on every upload. Also (less important) add a per day view so you can easily see all photos from one day in one section. Like Tinybeans does with theirs.

Option to upload from other sources. App is simple to use but would be great if you could upload pics from other apps eg dropbox or google photos etc. Also our kids are saying funny things all the time, would be awesome if there was a section where you could add quotes from the kids too, that could also be printed in their own separate book or in the photo book if we wanted to.

A Must-Have for Family Memories. FamilyAlbum is a user-friendly app offering secure, unlimited storage for family photos and videos. Its timeline feature and automatic 1s movies are delightful. However, it could benefit from advanced photo editing tools and a robust search function. A great tool for preserving and sharing precious family moments.

Love my Family. One of my sons, his wife and their son who is 1 live 3-4 hours away from us. Family Album is by far the best and easiest month by month photographic catch up. Would be lost without it.

Would be nice to have multiple delete or select options from within the app at the parent Also option to create the movies yourself on demand rather than waiting so long. Great way to share photos/memories with family. I found this app when pregnant, as I was looking for a way to share photos with family without having to constantly share across public social media platforms. This app has been perfect for storing and sharing memories of our little one (who’s now almost 2!). I love that it saves pics/vids like an album, ordered by date, and that family have the opportunity to comment too. Highly recommend! 🙌🏼☺️

Fantastic. This app has been fantastic in sharpening my Little ones life from birth through COVID and also as a place to keep the better photos. The unpaid section is great with the option for paid albums being sent out has been my fav. We have a highlights for each month so far !!!

Love Family Album APP. Seeing our granddaughters daily progress through this App and not on social media makes us feel so joyful and safe and fully in touch with her every development. Best app I have in my phone. I love this app. The free features are phenomenal and the purchases are really well priced. I regularly purchase prints and the album is great quality. But my favourite thing is that it has that instagraming feel when I’m sharing images, but I know only family can see the pictures of my child which means I’m keeping his identity safe. A must have app for any parent!. We love Family Album. Was a lifesaver to share photos with family whilst in lockdown and we have continued to use it as an alternative to social media. We love the way photos are uploaded based on date order and love being able to purchase books and prints. Cannot recommend this more highly. Have referred many friends and family onto this App.

I love the comment section but one thing I think should be added is when uploading a photo you have the choice to add a caption to be uploaded with the photo. Overall a great app

Such a wonderful App to keep in touch with our Granddaughter’s growth & development.. With our Granddaughter in the US & we live in Australia, FamilyAlbum has been heaven sent to see regular photos & videos of our Granddaughter which out the distraction in other online sources. Especially during Covid times, we appreciated the regular updated when our flights to the US were cancelled.

Needs more albums.. Love the app and easy to use since coming from moments by Facebook which is closing. I’d love the option to add people who aren’t family. Also would be great to have the option to have multiple albums that you can choose who has access to each album. Rather than just the one album going for the month you’re in.

Try it! Best photo app for kids.. I love family album! This is the place we combine and store all the photos of our little one. Everyone (mum, dad, grandparents, aunties, friends) adds their photos of our toddler to the one place so we have access to them all.

Best place to have it all. I really love this app as it give a platform to share memories with family members living across the globe. Super easy to use and just what we need. It’s super easy to upload photos and it’s great to be able to share photos with all our family around the world. Everyone gets to see the same photos and no hassle with sending each and every person different photos. You can add just the people you like and they can all comment. It’s very constrained as you have to buy etc. They set this up for you to spend money on doing things with the pictures... it might be good - I will never know as I'll find other ways to spend my money...

Never wrote a review for an app before but this app has been so great and would love to spend the time to leave a great review to recommend anyone who’s looking for a platform that is safer than Insta or fb to share your baby photos. Excellent!. We didn’t want to post photos of our child on socials but have heaps of family far away. It’s great for people like my parents who want to see pics almost every day, but other family or friends can mute notifications so they’re not spammed and still get to see our child’s growth. Excellent App for during COVID. This app has been excellent for allowing the family to be updated on the growth of my child. With COVID requiring lockdowns and social distancing, this app has been the only way that the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins have seen their grandchild/nephew/cousin. It’s easy to use, quick to upload photos and videos, and the alerts allow everyone to see updates when they come up, no matter who uploads something. Would definitely recommend for families to involve relatives in new children’s lives.

Love the app. We absolutely love the app the only two criticisms I have is that when you are not in the app the uploading is paused which is quite frustrating sometimes because you want to quickly upload the photos and then go off to do other things and you can’t just like a photo like you can on Facebook or Instagram you have to comment if you want to show that you like the photo which can sometimes be really annoying

Amazing!. This App is nothing short of amazing. It’s enabled us to share photos of our 2020 baby with family all over the world. Due to covid many people haven’t met the little one, but this app helps us feel closer.

Great for families separated by COVID. We put up photos of our little one everyday so that her grandparents across the world in England can cope with the agony of not being able to meet their first grandchild in person. With no date for when they can come visit, this app has been an emotional lifesaver where they can see her grow and change without us bombarding Facebook etc with baby photos or over-reveal intimate moments. No issues with tech side, easy enough for my mum to use! Very glad we found this.

So far good. We have been using this app for a few weeks and seems to work ok. Maybe a few small issues that need sorting out. Sharing pics is easy with family and other options we have not used yet. Download slow Changing album photos not available once removed. We are using the free version at this stage. Would I recommend ? Yes defiantly worth trying

Good but the months have stopped progressing. Like this app, simple and easy to use however for some reason the month of July hasn’t clicked over....now it’s a little useless as I can’t upload any more photos because it will just show them in the June month instead of July. It would be great if this was fixed soon!

3 years strong. This is by far the greatest download having a baby. I no longer use any of the baby apps but this one has been an absolute game changer for us. There were constantly so many family members and friends that wanted daily updates and as a new mum, who the hell has time or energy for it all? 3 years later and pregnant with my 2nd we all still use it weekly. Grandparents and siblings comment on them and even go back and have a look how much she’s grown. I have cried so many times flicking through the months that have passed to where we are now and will be doing it for as long as the app is still up and running. Highly recommended, super easy to set up. Even my non tech savvy family members found it simple to get in and comment.

Photo books could be better. This app is great but I wish there were better album options. Limiting the photoBook to 22 images is very limiting. Having photo collages on pages or being able to choose different amounts of photos for the book would be amazing

An Almost Perfect Replacement to Google Photos. Family Album is an essential app for new parents. Free storage, excellent sharing options, great deals on photo books and other prints, and a reasonably priced subscription which doesn’t lock down essential features. It would be a five star review if there was an option to mass select images, or mass rotate images (for some reason, all photos imported from my DSLR are unrotated), but apart from those two issues this app is near-perfect. Happy to add the fifth star if the above two features are added.

Great idea!. The app is great but it would be awesome if there were separate albums for different children. So we could click on child 1 and see all the pictures from each month. Great for sharing pics between the family.

Great for keeping family close regardless of distance.. My family and I really enjoy this app as it allows everyone to share their pictures with the whole family without anyone feeling left out. And parents can share just with each other if it’s images we don’t want to share. No need for social media filters or complicated login procedures. Only slight issue is that uploading pictures stops if the app is closed so uploading videos can be a pain. I have recommended this app to a few people in the past and they seem to enjoy it as well.

Best Social Media/Album. We wanted a way to share photos of our Family responsibly and without dealing with Facebook’s horrible privacy policy and terms of service. Family Album gives us complete control of our album, doesn’t share anything with third parties, and still offers an incredible service, organizing our album by date and putting together beautiful assortments of our photos for our review. So grateful to have this service offered for free, if we want to keep our costs down. Still, we’re excited to upgrade to premium and purchase the hard-copy albums and value added services. They look like they’ll be amazing, and we’re so grateful to have an app that respects our privacy and control over our little one’s photos, that we’re happy to pay to keep the service going.

Lost all my child’s baby photos. I uploaded all my child’s baby photos to the app before getting rid of my old phone however when I logged back in a few months later the photos had all disappeared which broke my heart, tried emailing the company for help but got no response

Great, private, photo sharing. I live on the the opposite side of the country to all my family. I was looking for a way to share a lot of photos with them, without worrying about Instagram or Facebooks privacy policy. I read all the policies for FamilyAlbum and really like what I’ve seen! I’ve been using it for 2 months now and have purchased an album and photos. I love that the photos I ordered are of a good quality (think, a roll of film you got developed rather than insta digital prints). I also just heard from my aunt that she can save the photos and print them for my grandmother to have copies and they’re still nice, clear photos!

Family Album fun. My son and daughter in law started this album when my granddaughter was born and added us all on and it is an amazing app . I have been able to share pictures of the baby and watch her grownup and write responses to other pictures and videos that are uploaded . We can also print out pictures , save them to our phones and see short videos monthly of highlights during that month . It’s awesome . I actually have it as a widget on my phone so I can see my granddaughters pictures flip thru every minute of the day and remember her when she was a tiny baby and watch her grow. Great app love it !

Not exactly as I expected the future but still feel I continued. I will say, as a tail end of the baby boom, I have nearly always been around tech. Even the. calculator, the first moon landing Rudimentary, as it was. personally, but I did consume an enormous amount of tech through the 80’s 90’s and all of the 20’s so far. It all come and goes so fast now it’s obsolete before It’s sold. But this app is fantastic My Daughter can keep Me in the loop with photos of my grandsons And it’s like I never miss a thing anywhere anytime. We all know we can’t put a price on that.

Love this app and the features it has. The monthly slide shows. And the flash back photos are so meaningful for me to go through. So wonderful.

Great way to share photos and videos!. I love the security that this app provides in sharing photos and it is sweet to bring the whole family together in one app. One thing that I think would be a great feature: when other album members can upload photos/videos to the album (you can either turn this function on or off) there should be a feature that allows us as the album admin to first approve the photos/videos before they get posted. This would make us feel much more comfortable allowing other album members to post the photos/videos knowing that we can screen what is being posted first since our goal in using this app is to control who has access to photos/videos of our little one.

Keeping up on all the changes. As Great Grandparents it is so good to see the day by day changes in growth & personality. We are lucky to be part of our special boy often but not every day & lets face it - children change by the hour.

Where is the "select" option?. I quite like the app but the lack of select options (to choose a couple images at a time to change the visibility is a let down…. I was going to pay for premium but this is a let down…..

Would love to be able to disable commenting. Love this app for sharing photos with family, but it would be great if there was an option to disable commenting for certain family members... ie the aunt who comments “lol” on every photo and doesn’t realize how annoying all of the notifications are. I don’t want to turn off my notifications because I want to know when other family comments, but I’d love to be able to prevent a million notifications from one specific person

Wonderful sharing app. Our 3 kids all live a distance away from us. Now having grandchildren, this is a great app to share all the things we’re missing not seeing them frequently. Easy to access different family albums, easy to add photos/video. Great sharing app. Highly recommend

It’s a must!. We use this app every day. An amazing tool for sharing pictures with those closest to you! And so easy to use that our 85+ grandparents are able to use and interact with our pictures. I recommend this app to anyone with kids!

No landscape mode. Your app only supports vertical and not horizontal orientation. This makes it rather frustrating to use, more so considering that this has been a feature of iOS for well over a decade now.

Internal Login/Logout, lost a star for inconvenience. So when are you guys finally going to fix the app and add in a way to log in and log out? I’m getting sick and tired of having to uninstall and reinstall every time I want to switch accounts.

One downside. The app is ok on your phone or tablet, but, and it’s a big but... I cannot find any way to upload pics from your digital camera through your computer. I ended up emailing g myself the pics, downloading to my phone and uploading from there.

Best App Ever. This is the best photo sharing App, it works extremely well, easy to use. As grandpa, I love to see all the pics and videos that posted. By invite, my family can see the posted pictures and video too. Very convenient access to photos and videos. Great items offered for sale by the app, cute gifts with pictures. I highly recommend this app.

App sharing with photo frame. Is there a way to share pictures from this app to another app or connect to a digital photo frame to keep seeing the images from this app?

Multiple families. Just downloaded seems great for my own family but doesn’t seem like we’d be able to see my sisters kids if she were to use it aswell. I feel there should be an option for cousins pictures to be shared in the same album would be good for grandparents to have their grandchildren in the same spot.

Great way to share photos with friends and family. I’ve been using this app since my first child in 2020. And it’s so easy to use. There are barely any ads and they’re all related to the app which is nice, nothing sketchy. Love how you can control who’s seeing what. Adding another child was easy too and I like how it’s organized. The only thing I would say is it would be nice to be able to turn on/off notifications for specific albums. But that’s a minor thing. I recommend it to people all the time.

What a wonderful app. The app is managed by my daughter-in-law to share photos and videos of my, now, 15 month old granddaughter, with family members and friends. It was very important to her that it be done privately, rather than use social media. I so look forward to seeing those photos and videos—when I see the red alert on the app to indicate something has been uploaded, I can’t wait to see what’s there. An added benefit is that I can choose to download whatever photos and videos I choose and, every month, I order 8 prints from that month at a cost of about $3 for shipping. I have been using them to create a photo book of my granddaughter.

Best album app. Very easy to use. You can also get FREE printed pictures every month. The quality of the pictures are good also you just need to pay for shipping only around $3 it came all the way from Japan so you just need to wait a little bit but its very worth it!

Great to stay in touch with family!. I love using this app to upload pictures of my son so the family can get to see what he is up too! Makes everyone feel a little more involved since we can’t see each other. Super easy to use and nice to keep the kids off of social media and stay connected! We just invited all of our family to the app so they can keep updated with our son! Easier than remembering to send photos to everyone. Nobody feels left out!

Best way to keep in touch !. It is a lot easier to post pictures here and everyone be able to comment than sending thru texting all the time everyday. For example my newborn, of course everyone wants pictures everyday now I send one as their good morning but post a bunch to the album for all to see and comment. And I love how the app created my first video seriously warmed my heart to see a replay of my maternity photos evolve into my baby girl!!!! I love this app!!! Highly recommended! I know I tell everyone about this! No problems either that I’ve run into!

Perfect for sharing baby pictures. This app is the perfect solution to sharing baby pictures with my family. The photo prints are great quality. It’s really cool that you get eight free prints a month! I love that it’s private and that people can check it as they wish, as well as add their own photos. Now all the photos are in one place. Plus I can share funny, intimate moments I would never post on social media with just a few designated people. With the printing service it’s easy to make a physical photo album. I highly recommend this app.

Great app for large photo volume, could be better. We take tons of pictures of our newborn and FamilyAlbum is the only app I’ve found specialized in family-photo sharing without a 20-photo limit for uploading. It makes it easier to upload large batches of photos. I also like the “Recents” section where you can see new uploads and comments. A few features I wish it also had: 1) a calendar view so you could jump to specific days of photos rather than just specific months; 2) the ability to add captions to photos before upload and/or the ability to simply like a photo vs having to comment on it; 3) a digest of photo updates via email that can be delivered daily or weekly based on user preferences. These were features elsewhere that we really liked, but ultimately the photo upload limit was the driving factor for us.

Personal Pages don’t work. The personal pages that separate your children using facial recognition software don’t give you the option to “tag” the correct face. I have two children, one album is my daughter, the other album is for my son but only photos of my daughters friend will appear. Attempts to change this led me to family album “help” page where it says nothing can be done about this problem until the app is updated. Considering cancelling my subscription. Why pay for something that doesn’t work accurately?

I never knew I needed it until I used it. I was introduced to Family Album by my Son and Daughter In Law when they had my first grandchild. They regularly post photographs of my granddaughter and grandson. It is a treat when I receive an email letting me know that they have posted new photographs and videos of my precious grandchildren. It is wonderful to keep up with the changes in their young lives. It is like air conditioning, once you have it you never want to be without it!

Good app for private sharing. I think this app allows sharing of kids photos to family and not all of social media, which is great. Privacy is a big concern. I do hope they aren’t selling data in the background. My only problem with this app is the notifications. Though you can disable “free print” notifications and enable or disable comment and upload notifications, you have no option to disable sales notifications. I don’t care if you have 10% off. It is intentional in the design to allow all or nothing for notifications, and it’s really annoying.

Super easy and manageable way to share memories!. I’m definitely not the type of person to put my child on a public platform for strangers to find photos of him so I really love this app because I can control who actually sees all my sons photos! My boyfriend and I actually live apart from each other so having this app it makes it so much easier rather than having to text him individual pictures! Our parents love it as well. We’re super grateful an app like this exists. Super easy to use. I definitely recommend it.

Almost perfect. My friend uses this app and invited me to it, so when my husband and I got pregnant we really wanted to use the same app. It works really well overall, however, none of our family members get notifications of new photo uploads. I get notifications when my friend uploads pics of her daughter in her album, but for some reason our album isn’t functioning the same. My husband and I have shared the notification settings and adjustments with our family but still it isn’t working.

An absolute MUST. I never write reviews, but the amazingness of this app requires me to shout from the mountaintops how much I love family album! It is sheer perfection. It’s SO easy to use and easy to add on whoever wants to have access. The Home Screen widget is amazing and so fun, and the fact that the album does the work for you to chronologically categorize each photo. I don’t think I could love it anymore and I’m not even a premium member! Thought about it but the free version suits us perfectly for now. THIS APP IS AMAZING

The BEST. This app is incredible. My family who lives all over the country can come together to see my child grow and it’s just amazing. The free version is great and the paid version is even better, but regardless they don’t screw you over. They still give you an opportunity to share photos and videos no matter which version you pick. It’s very organized and my family and I can’t say anything bad about this. Thanks so much for creating this app!!!

ScreenShotting. i love this app, wanting to keep our child off of social media but also allow our extended family to see her this was a great alternative however, we turned off the option to allow family to save or download the photos to their phone.., & even though they can not save the photos they can SCREENSHOT the photos without any type of notification being sent to my husband or i (the admins). i wish there was a way to get notified that someone screenshotted and/or a way to have the screenshotted photos blurred or watermarked.

Near perfect. Everything has room for improvement but this app was exactly what my family and I were looking for. We wanted something we could share pictures and videos of our son without the data issues, politics and lack of control of the big social media platforms. They’ve been great and make their money by selling photo books not data. We’ve purchased a few books and they were good quality (shipped from overseas so it can take a little while to get). Overall, I can’t recommend this enough.

BEST APP EVER. I love this app. It is amazing. I hope how both my husband side of the family and my side are able to come together on one app and view pictures and comment. It’s amazing. This was the best creation ever. If I could make a suggestion, I wish you could take the pictures and videos in the app. You have to upload media from your camera roll which can kind of fill up your camera roll after a while. I would honestly rather take the picture or video in the app and then save it there vs my camera roll. But I mean even if they don’t change that this app is the best.

Perfect app for family. Just downloaded the app this morning and I was able to invite all of the family that I wanted to join it. Makes it 10x easier than sending the pictures to everyone individually. Family can also upload photos so I can also see pictures that family has taken as well. Overall it’s a perfect way to share private memories without having to be posted on social media!

Great app. This is a great app. I was looking for a place to store all my photos but at the same tie he able to share with family and friends without having to text everyone individually. The app sorts all my photos, tells me how old my son was in each picture, notifies people who I share my album with when new photos have been uploaded and allows them to comment on photos. You can either texts someone to download the app or email them a link. My only wish the creators of this app would make is allowing someone to view photos online or by the app. Other then that I have no complaints

Perfect zero complaints. I love this app a lot as a new first time dad and living hundreds of miles away from my parents this is for me the best app in existence. First I wish I could take photos with the app which I’m unable to do but the ability to have the app available for family and friends to view without a text war is priceless. As a guy and little time this is the best way to share photos without dealing with floods of texts because tbh many of my family get under my skin so I don’t have to be attached to a lengthy conversation. Thanks developers great job!

Good for sharing, needs some ease of use updates!. Great app for connecting and sharing with family. No doubt about that. But the app overall just seems so antiquated. Some of my suggestions are: When uploading, ability to sort photos by albums. This is huge in being able to find the photo you want to upload so much more easily. I feel like I spend 30 mins trying to figure out which ones it was I wanted to upload because it won’t sort by my favorites album. Ability to add comments/titles to photos at the time of upload, so you don’t have to go back and find photos and then put a comment and everyone gets additional notifications. Needs a better layout such as newest uploads should always show up first. I feel like there is no rhyme or reason to how photos show up. Additional family member titles vs “other family”. Ability to tag other members in comments and just more social media type communication features.

Needs updates. This app is nearly perfect. We photo dumb pictures of our daughter and family members are part of the album. It sorts it by month and so organized. However, there will be whole days I can’t upload anything. I’ve tried with wifi, without, on different networks. You also have to have the app open while the pictures and videos upload. For a day like birthdays or Christmas when you have a lot of photos to upload, it takes a while and you can’t open any other apps

Download Entire Album. I love this app because I live in another state away from my family. So it makes it easy to share photos of my daughter to the family members that truly matter the most (nana and auntie). However, I wish that there was a way to download the entire album from each month. I just swapped phones and I want my pictures on my phone or on my computer to have for in the future but I can only download one image at a time. 🙄 I doubt anyone will even read this or review it as I see none of the other reviews get addressed. But thought it was worth a shot.

Amazing App. I never write reviews for apps, but this one is great! I love being able to share pictures and videos of my daughter with my family. It’s super easy to upload everything and I love being able to have everything in one place for everyone to see. So much easier than sending pictures to individual people. I was hesitant to try it at first because this stuff doesn’t always work well but I’m so glad I downloaded this app!

Was great until I had to reinstall it. I loved this app at first, there are so many great features about it. Aside from thefact that you can upload as many pictures as you want, you can change the date pictures were taken which is great because pictures my daughter‘s father texted me were saved at a later date but I wanted to make sure they were saved under the correct date they were taken. Unfortunately the storage on my phone got full and it crashed and when I signed back into this app photos that I had changed dates on we’re back to the incorrect date. Now I have no way of knowing if the dates on pictures is correct or wrong.

Clean and easy to use. Just started with this app but so far very much liking it. The interface is simple enough for most everyone, young and old, to navigate. Basic functions are all we need and this seems to provide a great service. Chose to try this one over others because it offers the ability to order print out photos or albums, it has a comments function, and can be accessed through browser-desktop.

Awesome and a time saver.. It’s an awesome app. I was weary at first because I found an add on tik tok for it and we all know those are mostly scams. But this app is such a time saver. Instead of a group text to the family of pictures of our baby girl, I can add them all here so that way they can see all the pictures I have of her and can come and go on here as much as they want. Save the pictures they want and comment on them too. It’s like Instagram for your family pretty much. It’s really great.

Best Picture App!. I have been using this app for a couple of years now & I have no complaints. I’m able to store all my photos here without paying for more & more memory like all the other photo storing apps & software like iCloud or Google photos. I do pay for the premium subscription but only because I like being able to add photos from my computer & I like being able to add longer videos to it. This app also has some really cool extra features like making picture videos for you,printing options, & picture memory books.

My new favorite app. Family album has allowed me to get updated photos my my beautiful great niece almost daily from half way around the world! It sends me a notification to let me know when new photos and videos have been posted. Such a handy tool for my niece, this way she can share the baby with the entire family without having to text or email everyone individually, such a time and stress saver for a new mom!

Nice concept. Flawed. I love this app. The concept is amazing. I love that I can share my children’s photos with friends and family while keeping them private and off social media. However, I have found several problems… 1) there is very little customer support. You can find help articles on their website, but no way to contact them for other issues not discussed. I am having trouble getting the app to function properly with registering an email, which is already entered, but it won’t recognize it. Therefore, I can’t send invites for the web-based version. 2) the web-base appears to just allow you to upload photos rather than view and save photos from the album. This is very frustrating because I don’t have an efficient/easy way to download and save the photos to a flash drive for safe keeping. Overall, the app is really nice. I like how you can control who sees each photo and can control who is a member. It has a great concept, it just needs improvements, especially in the nonapp version.

Far away Grandparents. So thankful for Family Album! Our grandchildren live in Orlando, Florida & we live in Kettering, Ohio. Both families travel as often as we can. However, it is not enough. Family Album has allowed us to watch them daily like we want to. We can go on there special events with them & also see them in everyday life. Without Family Album we wouldn’t know them as well. I also love that fact you can keep family in the loop of special moments/photos. I love using this app!!!! Amazing but one small improvement!. I love this app so much for sharing with friends and family! I don’t like to bombard social media with my adorable kid, and it’s hard to send the same picture to 15 people—someone always gets left out. This is the perfect solution. I only thing I wish was added is the ability to add a caption. Many of our pictures have special meanings, such as “first steps” or “favorite thing to do with daddy” and it would be great to add those without having to comment

Updates just for us. I love that I can see pictures and video of my littles that remain within our family circle and not a social media sight. Everyone that accepts an invite immediately receives a notification when something new is uploaded with ability to comment. Everyone sees it, but it’s only the people within our group. That way we’re not inundating others that don’t necessarily celebrate every little detail of our babies like we do. 🥱

Family album review. I greatly enjoy the family album. The way it is organized is fantastic being able to see a loved one picture is broken down by month and category in group and all different combinations. It’s really nice access is a simple yeah it works flawlessly no problems getting into the app and seeing the pictures and the videos and the offer a great deal on the photos the prices of the photo so it’s a good deal all the way around.

Military family approved!. My husband is a US Marine and we live far from any family so this app is a fantastic way to make sure our family is able to see pictures of our 2 month old without worrying I forgot to send a picture to someone. Plus they can add their own when they come visit! I definitely recommend it, even if you live close to your loved ones, because it’s also great for just an organized photo album you can always have with you that doesn’t take up phone storage.

Great way to connect with family!. I downloaded this app when my baby was a month old. Before downloading I was sending photos to my parents and family every day so they could see her. This app makes my life a lot easier because I sent an invite to my whole family and now I can upload a photo once and they all get a notification about it! It’s super convenient! Definitely recommend for moms that have a large family that wants to be involved, or just anyone that wants a nice place to save and organize photos.

Love it. Love this app - I’m able to share pictures of my children with their grandparents 800 miles away instantly. I can pick certain pics and videos off my camera roll and they’re organized very well. It saves having to send out group texts of pictures or videos; everyone gets an update when I upload new pics and browse them at their convenience. I think my favorite thing though is the 1-sec videos they put together- the music they add just makes it feel so personal.

Fabulous App for following a pregnancy, birth & baby photos!. My girlfriend used this to track her pregnancy & posted 1 picture or 2 or 3 each month do we could see her progress! She even had little templates for each month that ssid how big the baby was compared to a certain fruit or veggie 💖 It is darling! And more importantly PRIVATE ! Only those family / friends who have the password can see the photos. And Dad promised to post more when the baby is born!

1st Movies. I love this app, it has been so easy to share all of my daughters photos in one place without sending a million texts individually. But recently I was disappointed when they added photos from my “partner only” album to my daughters “1st movies”. Without the ability to edit those pictures/videos I didn’t want the family to see, for the first time I cannot share it with the family. There needs to be an edit option in addition to keeping albums separate, especially since this app is not free.

Lifesaving app!!. I love this app!! Taking the trips down memory lane and watching my kids grow up all over again. I love that I don’t have to send pics to everyone individually and I can just have them upload it instead of sending to me. I love the feature of the “on this day” flash backs from various months. This is very helpful as I am a nursing mom and pump when away from my children. I think it’s great to view the next day but would love the option to view the previous day in case I missed it or just want to see that day again.

So glad we use this. For the most part our family members have been able to utilize the app which has been so helpful during quarantine. The basic use is great! And I can (re)teach them to find favorites and the difference between albums and recents. I just ordered a photo book that was so easy to create and I am so excited to give some as presents to the grandparents. I do wish there were quick order books like they are now as well as more customizable like having hardcover with optional numbers of pages.

Love it, but just one thing. How in the modern age of social media does posting and processing media take so long? This has been such a great app for connecting our family, but the constant lag in the ability to comment is a minor frustration. Often, I want to add a caption to explain before other family members comment, but sometimes a video takes so long to process that I don’t have to time to wait to make that happen. That said, I’d love to see a caption component added to this so that parents don’t have to wait to see add comments - it should be part of the posting process.

Such a joy!. When our new little relative came into this world during the pandemic, his parents hooked us all up with this wonderful app. We are able to keep the little dude safe until he can get vaccinated....and the whole family gets to peek in on his life. We all appreciate how private it is, and how easy it is to share, even with those who aren't quite as tech savvy. Thanks for helping us get to know the newest member of our big family!

Overall we love it, but a few changes we would like. We love this app because our family lives far away. It is easy to upload and share! There are two changes that I wish they would add. The first is a more obvious way to switch between albums. I have accidentally uploaded to my sisters album and you have to go into settings to switch, which is just odd and not intuitive. The other change I would love is the ability to add a caption. Right now, you can add comments, but not a caption when you load it.

Love it!! One suggestion.... I love this app! After Lifecake shut down, this was the perfect app to use in its place. I love how everything is organized and the 1 second videos are great. Sharing options are also perfect. What I do miss from Lifecake though, was that you could see with each picture how old your child was (ex. 3 years, 3 months, 3 days...) and I really miss the ability to shake for a random slideshow of photos from throughout the years. Since Family Album is organized by month instead of one giant timeline that you scrolled up/down, it’s a little more tapping around to find older pictures. Certainly not a dealbreaker, but I do miss those features.

Love it!. We love this app! We don’t do social media like Facebook etc so our family uses this to keep up and share photos of the growing kids and it’s great!! I love that you can order the printed out books and customize them any way you want. My sister also has an album for her kids and it’s SOOOOOO easy to switch back and forth between the two, it’s great! I can’t say enough good things about the app. I also love how it keeps up the kids current ages etc, it’s just awesome all the way around!

Great but missing a few almost essential features that might never happen. I like it a lot, I just wish they’d do 4 things others have also requested repeatedly for a long time… 1) Have the option to post ‘how baby is doing’ updates with text (and exclude from 1s stories) 2) Extend the max number of words allowed in comments 3) Give us an option to reply to specific comments and 4) Show us the whole name under visits. There seems to be no intention to do any of these things from the developer, based on their computer automated responses.

This app is the best!. It allows you to share pictures with friends and family that you may not want on social media. The app also allows other approved members of the album to upload pictures, for example when grandma has the kids she can upload their adventures:) It’s easy to use and allows for commenting. Seriously the best! The only thing I would like to figure out is how I could get two different albums one for my immediate family and one for extended family? :)

Long distance family. This is great for min distance families. We live in another state from everyone in my family and I take way too many pictures to sent them to each family member one by one so this is very helpful and the grandparents love it! I wish you could take pictures and videos directly from the app to upload. Also wish it wouldn’t show you pictures you’ve loaded previously when you click add and when uploading it would allow you to pick pictures and videos instead of making you do each video as a separate upload one by one ugh

So amazing and convenient. My first kid and the family wants every single picture and video I take of him. This app makes it sooo much easier for all family members to see old pictures new pictures on a daily basis. Because of course I take pictures every single day. I just upload them and boom everyone else can see them. Best app I have on my phone. VERY highly recommend! Easy to work, easy to access, easy to use, they even make little short videos for you too look at on monthly basis. Love love love ❤️

Used to loooove it. I love the privacy. You can’t find someone’s album unless sent an invite. I love the organization of the content by month taken. Also love that I can mass select and upload all at once. Downside, you cannot leave the app or let your phone go to sleep or your upload stops until you open the app again. You can also only upload videos up to 1 minute long, unless you pay $5 a month for their subscription. Wish the app was working right. Ever since the last update it won’t even let me open the app. Just keeps crashing before it can even fully load the app. Unless they fix that, don’t waste your time or money.
