Alchemy 1000 Game Reviews

Ok, but needs improvement. UI is clunky, but bearable. The biggest problem for me is the combos that don’t make sense. For example, bird+fish did not make a flying fish. Nor any other reasonable, logical combination. Challenging is one thing, but when the only way to find a combo is to try everything, that’s just tedious. I want to like the game, and I enjoy the concept, but the logic and/or language need help.

Combinations are … Outdated. This game is very fun, stressful at times, but overall a great game to occasionally play. Though some of the combinations to get a new element are outdated to say the least. Such as, *spoils* man+flower=woman, glass+woman=mirror, feather+man=Indian (as in Native American) Other than these heavily stereotyped combinations it’s a great game.

Fun. The game is fun, the ads are not so overbearing that they take away the fun of the game. My one issue is that the sound doesn’t turn off completely even if turned off in the settings.

Ads and music. I don’t mind the ads because they’re not excessive but if the game is going to shut off my music to run it, it should at least be able to turn my music back on again. Instead I have to leave the app and reopen music and hit play.

Ads even after paying. I tried this app for free and I like it but not the ads. So I paid the $2.99 for the no-ad version and still I get ads upon opening the app. I can Restore my Purchases to get rid of them, but why do I have to do it EVERY FREAKIN’ TIME? I used the App Store developer link to report this as a bug but the link doesn’t go anywhere. Please fix this problem for more stars.

Creative. I love this game and I am grateful for the developer. It has given me the opportunity to acquire more knowledge in a fun way. I could go about playing it but sometimes it goes stuck and I’ll have to wait for some seconds before it comes back. I will be very grateful when this problem is fixed. 😊

Playing again. I like this app I downloaded it a few years ago and it was addictive. I just downloaded it ago on my new phone and it’s kinda the same but it’s not. 1) you used to get info on the new item you created, so you can learn it’s history or background info. 2) you could do way more when you added a base element but now it seems like they are useless once you get past 30 elements. 3) the combinations made way more sense you could double up more on elements or at least add a base element and get a difference. It’s no way two fires can make a sun in the old game. Simple logical combs don’t get added when they should make sense. When you had energy or life you could make at least 30+ new elements easily, but now it seem like it doesn’t work that way. You could easily make a new element by adding fire, energy, earth and get a logical response. 4) Even if a element was already made a different comb would also make the same element and a list of what can be added together to make the same element would be noted. I like this game but at times it doesn’t make sense.

Neat. It's a good game, 1000 elements is impressive and people say there's so many ads but, first off there's not too much and second, just turn off wifi you idiots. Anyways, it's fun.

Calling all creative people needing a challenge. Easy to get stuck which is awesome because there’s always a challenge. My only advice would be this, Try adding a screen to see how many possible mixtures there are for each element and if already discovered then to show what it created when mixed with said element.

Fun. But doesn’t work on iPhone. The “done” and “select all” buttons are too high and there’s just a tiny spot where they can be clicked. I had to get it on my tablet which is fine but I wanted something new on my phone.

TOO MANY ADS. If you have not already downloaded this game and have no interest in buying the upgrade then stop right here and DO NOT DOWNLOAD this game. I’ve had it a few weeks and I like it but there are waaaay too many ads for other games that as soon as you open the app you will have forced encounters with ads. I can sit through most ads (as they have led me to some great games) but these ads come through and have the tiniest X to press that are strategically placed at the edge of the left or right top of the screen which you will have to spend extra moments trying to get the right combo to click out (if you can) or keep opening and closing the app which will just generate more ads with the same issue. I have an iPhone 11 and can never click out of the ads and am forced to watch every moment of the ad. The ads are consistent so I’ll try another Alchemy game elsewhere and hope to purchase it. So for this I am leaving a 1 star.

Too many videos. This used to be one of my favorite games. Or one similar. I would have fiven this game a 5 star rating- however I am so f’ing beyond over having advertising videos for games that reduce ones intelligence. That I am deleting and making not to never try again! Cramming them down my throat isn’t gonna get me to download them. All you have managed to do is be added to my black list!! Deuces..

Download. Download this game! It is so fun, but challenging. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s too hard for me XD. Or that can just me being a whiney little baby. Other than that, download this game if you want a test!

Could get better and stop the annoying ads. I enjoy combining the elements to get different results. However the fact that there are ads that have cancel buttons but can’t be canceled and have to restart the app kinda drains away what small fun I gain from this app.

Waste of time. I downloaded this app because I had a simile app call Alchemy about 10 years ago. This app let me combine the first 7-8 items up until it asked to share on social media or email. I did that and it cleared all my items, kept playing ads that I can’t close bc the X is half cut off. This forces me to close the app and when I open it, another ad plays that I can’t close. Delete this ap and downloaded another one like it.

Be creative. This game pushes your creativity. It may not make you a science wiz, but it helps to see how certain things are formed.

Whats up with the ads?. I am used to having ads, a lot of them, but there is always a way to get back to the game by closing them once the time is up. This game has ads that you cannot close out of! The X is there but it is not an interactive button. I want to play, but if i constantly have to close out of the game to start new every time an ad comes up, it is not worth it.

Too confusing. The hints didn’t do anything all that they did was confuse me even more. Period period. Period. Period I said. Said. No. Period period. Just the word. No, no oh no, that’s not a meant.

Please fix the ad problem!. I used to love this game years ago and decided to play it again. The first time I played it after downloading I didn’t get any ads and the game was fine. Now the interface seems slightly off and every time I get an ad it doesn’t fit my screen (iPhone XS) correctly so I can’t press the x button to get out of it. The x button shows up in the same spot as the time, wifi,battery icons etc. so it’s impossible to press. Please fix this!!!!

Ad infested mess. I rarely comment as I understand games first and foremost are products made by businesses. We are all willing to live with a few downsides if the product serves its purpose and doesn’t labor us more than it provides. For years I’ve played this game off and on and to see this game nearly rendered unplayable by a deluge of ads almost fully missing their exit “x” is utterly disappointing. It’s bad business practice. (Mind you I have an iPhone 12 and now most exits are virtually missing and if there are any “x”s it sits just outside a clickable space dragging me down a sketchy app trying desperately to see if I don’t have a password in my AppStore account.) tldr the ads make it unplayable.

One thing.... So i really like this app... But it would be helpful if you put the elements on the side of the workspace so we could use them without going to a different menu. ⓉⒽⒶⓃⓀⓈ.

Functionality outdated. I remember playing this game years ago and just downloaded it. It’s difficult trying to select all and press done on 16 pro. Now you have to pay to see which elements cannot be used to create new ones. All of the paid features were once free. I will probably uninstall again before I pay for a feature that was once free.

Love it, but can’t X out of ads. Most of your ads cover the full screen and the X to close them after time lapse is so far up in the corner of the screen and so small they can’t be closed and you have to close/quit the app to get back to playing. Doesn’t matter if you click the ad and navigate away - doesn’t let you out of the ad in the game. This is maddening and since others have paid for the ad-free version and reported that it still doesn’t fix the issue AND the dev doesn’t have a way to report bugs I’m deleting the app. Used to freaking LOVE this game. 😕

So Unfair. I am trying to do stuff and then I just kicked me out you’re gonna have to redo what I did. I’m not sure what it is but it’s so hard to do something because if it keeps kicking me out, I can’t do nothing and I have to keep redoing what I’m trying to do.

Time to use. Honestly if you have time to waste it’s a good game to play now I’m saying that as a compliment

iPhone issue. I like the concept but on iPhone the “plus” option does not function you can open it but the done button when you are ready to add elements does not work because it’s outside the frame. It’s positioned right under the time so when you click done to add the element to the main screen it won’t accept the command.

Alright but not great. I wish the elements would be composed in a list u have too double tap to get the basic elements back but have to go into a menu for the full list

Annoying ads. I love this game but then the ads pop up for other games and after sitting through the 30 second sales pitch, the “X” to close it out is too small and too far off the screen to hit. So basically you have to close the app and reopen it to possibly go through the same thing all over again. It’s not worth it.

Not what I expected. The game looks good, but I keep having issues where the screen goes black. Then your “Done” seems not too work, maybe because of the type of phone, I don’t know. I have an iPhone 11… those two things made me delete working a few minutes, good thing I didn’t pay for it.

Thanks for the upgrades.. I played this years ago back in high school. This was my favorite app then and still is now. Thanks for the succinct help screen; had everything I needed to refresh my memory.

There’s a bug or something. I had just downloaded and not to far after I took it off… some of the options aren’t working or none functional. The “done” and “select all” options are not working. Already it crashed on me twice and after opening both times it would clear my whole progress… I can’t select nor advance unless recreating the ones already done… not cool! It’s not fun nor enjoyable for me. I still am giving 3 stars cause the game looks promising but has issues/bugs…

Update old versions. I think u should update the old versions some people can only play at times because of sickness or care of people and then go back and it can’t be updated wrong

Not working on iPhone 14 Pro. Has some kind of bug. Have to restart every time you pick elements you have to close out and go back in because select all and done buttons DO NOT work. Will delete and maybe check another time to see if it is fixed.

No ads?. So I have an issue of ads covering up the bottom panel of my screen and so I can’t click on the options. So I finally got in to a menu to do upgrades and I bought the no ad feature. However, there are still ads covering up the menu options and I’m also still getting ads popping up. I absolutely love this game due to me playing it a few years ago. I use to rate this as a 5, but until I either get my money back from the ads, or someone to fix this issue, it will remain a 1. Also, I would have bumped it higher if I could at least been able to reach support. I went to every link and nothing gives me the option to email support, but yet the website says “please don’t hesitate to reach out to us”...

Not as good as similar games. This game looks very nice, and I like that the playing area is quite large, but I don't like that the elements are in a separate screen instead of in a column on the side so every time I need to grab an element I have to go into a separate menu...just isn't user friendly. Also, the number of ads is ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. But what makes me more angry is the features the game wants you to pay for that come for free on games like Alchemy and Alchemy 2, namely noting final elements. Alchemy 2 actually takes elements off the board when there are no more combinations to make with them, which is very nice. At the end of the day, other games do this much better without the annoyance of ads and other in-app purchases.

Eh... Not bad, ads are ridiculous, as stated. I like that there are so many items to discover, but many of the combinations don’t make any sense. I played this one alchemy game, that I guess no longer exists and they actually made sense so it was rewarding to discover items cause you had to be clever and really think.

The best game ever!!!!!. This is the best game ever but I know 1000 is a lot but my dad haded this game when he was little and he has been helping me with some and I’ve been making some myself and is super fun and this game is perfect for me because i love making things soooo much so thank you for making this game. The best game ever

Fun. It’s fun, Interesting, and challenging I recommend getting this when you are bored

To many crashes. When I got this game it was fun, but it crashes a lot. Although other than that it is incredibly amazing and fun. I don’t think I have much time for a long report, though.

Can’t close ads. I can’t close the ads it gives me because the x (close) button is too far in the corner of my phone. No I don’t have a bulky case or anything that I could resolve this with. Basically, even closing out the game doesn’t allow me to play because I’m given a new ad prior to a new game with the same problem. I’ve never encountered this with other games.

It’s a good game. Well candies, frustrating trying to figure out but if you slowly just work out at you figure out.

Fun game but one issue. Love this game, but when I go to re-add another element the “Done” button overlaps the time in the upper left corner of my phone and it takes a while to go back to the main screen. Maybe having the done button in a new position will help for a better game play.

Sound. Wish I could turn off the annoying sound. I clicked it off in the settings but it’s still very loud

Love game but ruins battery. I love this game so much, I would play it for long periods of time but it heats up my battery immediately. iPhone 6splus. Wish there was an update to fix this since it's not worth ruining a whole phone over. 💔

Ehhh. It’s an ok game, the assets are kind of... well... how do I say this without offending anyone? Bad..? Anyways don’t put “the original alchemy game” when it’s clearly a ripoff of Little Alchemy and Doodle God.

Need help. After 88 it won’t let me create anymore it says it’s created but doesn’t add it and stays at 88

Ads. Most of the time I don’t mind ads... but this one has waaaay to many. And when one does come up I have to completely shut down the game cause you can’t close the ad. I loved this game years ago... and it just frustrated me within seconds of installing.

Spammy Ads Unusable. I don't minds some ads, and I normally pay to remove them. But this is ridiculous. Tons of full screen lengthy ads every minute or two. Tons if in-app purchases also. This is a tiny, simple game; unacceptable and uninstalled.

You can’t play the game. I can’t play the game because the advertisements are impossible to click out of, even after the add finishes, the x is in the top left or right corner, too far to be picked up by my finger. So I can’t play this game at all.

Can’t Close Ad. The “x” used to close the intermittent ads is too close to the edge of the screen on my iPhone XR and I can’t close any ads. Now the game is useless. I start the game, it immediately plays an ad, and I can’t close the ad. Avoid this game until they fix the ad issue!

Fun but frustrating. It’s a fun game but some of the combinations to make a new element are just so dumb.

Not user friendly. Every time I add an element, everything I previously made on the first screen goes back to the top and is clustered. Also the core elements should not have to continually be re-added.

Required to cheat. After half an hour i had 85 elements and couldn’t find another. I tried the hint option for the first time and it says “you can’t create any new elements” Also the combinations are ridiculous like tree+animal=panda or animal+bird=dragon.

READ!. So if you need things you have to go do all this stuff and makes the game really bad I would suggest an easier way to get the materials

TRASH. The first like 5 mins after I enter the app the game freezes making it very very bad for me, if you have this app then delete it forever

Alchemy 1000. Is there a cat? I would really love one! Other than that I love it.

Settings issue. Maybe the app shouldn’t make sound when sounds are turned off.

Fun but..... Don't get me wrong this game is amazing the set up the combos but... The ads are what made me quit here are way to many ads that interrupt me every 10 seconds please fix.

Put all of the elements at the side of the screen. I just want to say that you should have all the elements on the side of the screen instead i have to add them all at the time and that takes way more time.

Confusing. I remember the original alchemy game from years ago and a lot of the reactions made sense. But that is not the case with this one, a lot of the reactions don’t have any logic or sense in them

Ads hide content. There is a pop up ad that covers the controls for the game, until that’s gone 1 star

Water isn’t an element. Water isn’t an element. It’s two elements, hydrogen and oxygen.

Eh. This game is ok if you just want to randomly add stuff together in hopes it’ll make a new element that makes no sense in relation to the items you’ve added together.

A funny little puzzle. I really enjoy trying to piece together the elements to create new elements. It is really a fun and relaxing time.

Too Many Ads. As soon as I touched the screen, an Ad popped up, I played a total of 3 minutes and had 3 ads already. I deleted this game, good quality, it looks like it can be fun, but apparently greed is more important. I'd like to give it zero stars. But it gets one for quality graphics.
