The best sound app so far.. I have had a lot of sound machine apps. This is the best I have ever had. The sound is engineered for three dimensional use with head phones.

Great relaxation app. I absolutely love falling asleep to this app, and it's a lovely addition to the sister app, Windy. If you're looking for relaxing ambient noise, this is a great choice!

Micro transaction scam.. Don't pay 3 bucks for an app that is going to open you right up to a screen that tells you to grind more meditations to unlock what you thought you just paid for. The other reviews are fake.

Childhood vacation revisited. I once spent a week of summer with a friend who lived near the beach in Florida. At first, the ocean sounded so loud! But the consistency soon became soothing and when my vacation was over, I missed the sound. This app lets me revisit that memory and relax to the sound of the waves again.

Wow! The most realistic nature sounds app period. No fake digital sound loops here!! Amazing sound. I use this with my Bose QC 35’s and boom, I’m transported to the beach 🏖. Hands downs the best nature sounds developer out there. I use his Sleepy Fan app every night also. Two thumbs up!!! Thank you Franz for hanging in there.

I love this app but have a suggestion. I absolutely Love this app! It has the perfect combination of sounds and you can customize the amount of various sounds. My only suggestion is to please allow to lengthen the sleep timer. Often 20 minutes is not long enough and I have to rest the timer. Thanks so much for this app!!

Even Better Than Expected - LOVE Sunny!. The quality of the visual graphics and natural nature sounds is wonderfully soothing and exceptionally well-done. I love that I can layer in or out various types of sounds as well such as seagulls, raining on a tent, etc. And adding a narrative/storytelling element that unfolds over time adds mystery and keeps me returning to the app (as well as their other ones like this - I have them all! Addicted ;). Highly recommend and keep up the great work!

Didn't keep it. Visuals are pretty; however, I was very disappointed to find no ocean waves crashing on the beach sounds. Please consider. The usual forest audio isn't relevant here.

Sunshine Always Makes Me Smile. In one of his signature songs, “Sunshine on My Shoulders”, John Denver (God rest his soul) wrote “Sunshine, almost always makes me smile”. As an app, Sunny has provided me with that comfort for years now. The concept and execution of the artwork is superb, and a variety of several scenes (which until recently were in-app purchases) are now included, without additional charge. As in FREE. In my opinion, the artwork is in fact, among the best in the App Store. The soundscape is of high quality, and the ability to customize it, is both user friendly, and incredibly flexible. Whether you use Sunny to relax and unwind from a stressful day, or as a sleep aid, you won’t be disappointed. Given its quality, aesthetic beauty, and very real health benefits, it’s an easy recommendation, and very affordable. Given the current deadly virus that we are all dealing with (I am of course referring to subscriptions), affordability in the App Store is quite a prize indeed. I would just add that while I’m not familiar with all of the developers apps, I do also own Thunderspace and Windy, both of which I can recommend equally if you enjoy Sunny, and are looking for a little variety.

Serenity ..... Immediately upon opening your app it was relaxing - my first relaxing moment since I last left the beach within my own mind. Thank you 4 recreating this moment for me as the last time I was at a beach I was with my recently late young 21 year old daughter whom I have lost over this past 8 months. Update. This is one of the first Taptanium apps I got and the music in Sunny is my favorite . Never get tired of listening to it. All of Franz’s apps are excellent- and yes, I call the developer by his first name as he has personally responded to any messages I have sent over the years. Very dedicated; hands on and meticulous developer. Highest quality chill out rain, wind, water, thunder sounds.

Feeling ripped off. I rarely get free apps because of ads. I just want apps to work without any hassles. This app is a disappointment. Besides being awkward to use, I DON'T like the bait and switch. Apps should function as represented and not a sales tool for what should have been included to begin with.

Does not connect to WiFi speakers. The app will not output sound through speakers connected to WiFi. I haven’t tried them with a Bluetooth speaker. It is advertised as best with headphones but being able to listen to a continuous ocean sound using this app from a bedroom speaker to help sleeping would be nice. Guess I’m stuck with 1 min iTunes tracks on repeat...

Really Works!. This app will keep you focused, refreshed, and highly productive. I amusing it while editing manuscripts. Waves and other background sounds I can adjust are delectable. Thank you, Franz.

Nice But Some Needed Things Are Missing. I have every single one of you apps. I like them all but I can't give 5 stars for two reason. You're too cheap in adding thunderstorms on you app except for one and you should have an auto play for the scenes to move to show the 3D look if you don't wanna add animation.

Love. . . Except for the bird sounds. I would give this 5 stars except that I hate that the only two bird sounds are either crows or seagulls- the two birds who steal your food at the beach. Their bird calls are not pretty either. I wish there were some tropical birds on here because their songs are beautiful! The artwork and beautiful sounds of the different ocean scenes are wonderful. In these fantasy lands wouldn’t there be beautiful tropical bird sounds too? Please change this!

Really Thanks.. This is one of my best apps

Very useful for timing. One thing I really like about this app is that it allows me to time my sessions. And if I get a phone call in the middle of the session, I can look and see how much time has elapsed so that I can finish my session. None of the other apps will keep track of how much time you have spent for the day. I only use the timer daily count for one day not over the course of a long period of time. I think you have to buy the app for that.

Excelente app for meditation and studying. I am a Medical Student with ADHD and this app helps me calm down my stress will helping me concentrate on my studies. Its an excellent app to have for reading, meditation, and sleeping.

Good to fall asleep to. I usually have a lot of trouble falling asleep, but this helps tremendously. With this app, I can fall asleep in a couple of minutes rather than an hour.

Love, but doesnt work in background. I love this app, but it keeps randomly stopping when in background. Sometimes right away, sometimes after 5-10 min, I set timer for 3 hours but it just doesnt work. Its the same with the windy app. Please fix as I really like listening to the waves in background.

Perfection. This is the result of bringing people together who really care about the end product - not the app, but what the user experiences when using the app. The app itself is incredibly detailed, smooth, and well thought out. The sound quality is perfect. Listening through my AKGs, I'm there. The water is washing under my feet. I can feel it. It's insanely great. I'm in no way affiliated with the author, but I am a fan of quality apps. They have two other apps you should check out if you like this one - ThunderSpace and Windy. All three are indispensable to me. I use them daily to create an environment conducive to productivity and peace. ALL the stars. All of them.

True, the quality is there and that is great but you only get ONE episode and then shell out $3.50 for each of the others, makes it a very expensive App. Like most developers, they just don't realise how many sales they lose by the In-App-Purchases being ridiculously overpriced! In sunny, you need to spend time in, "exlore" and share the first ones before the rest of the app becomes accessible. I was not expecting that. I thought, I just buy it and Ive got it all. Still great audio. Just wasn't expecting to have to wait before I can try the other beaches.

A gem!. I absolutely love this app.

Blah!. Water in every "scene", but it's all the same. The stream/river sounds just like the beach; the beach scenes should include the sound of waves hitting the shore. I tried this app to help me get to sleep despite my tinnitus buzzing in my head. Unfortunately, these water sounds are almost identical to what my tinnitus produces in my mind ... in other words, it's useless for me.

A Must. Tried a few of these now and this has by far the most realistic sound even without earbuds. I use this as white noise at night. Very relaxing. Like being there. It will also nicely play in the background while you read a book on the same device or while surfing the net. The nice thing is; you forget it's there but it has a relaxing effect. We'll done! And on top of that, all features unlock as you use it (or you can pay to unlock all at once which is unnecessary since a little exploring does the same thing). This simple thing makes using this app rewarding. Now THAT IS how you treat a new app user. THAT IS how you get user loyalty. I am going to try your other apps now!!!

Helps me fall asleep. I used to have trouble falling asleep. It would take me upwards of an hour. This app helps me fall asleep in about 15-20 minutes. Plus there are different "scenes" that you can pick. You pick which one your in the mood for, or which one gets you to sleep fastest. Totally recommend.

Absolutely amazing. These apps by Taptanium are phenomenal. I have Windy and Thunderspace. The addition of Sunny to my collection is welcome. Sunny on its own is great. It's soothing and the realism is worth the price. No other nature sound app makes me lull so easily into a peaceful state. The ability to add in either windy or Thunderspace over top adds so much to the ambience. I enjoy holding out for the other scenes, as it helps me to appreciate the moment and time spent relaxing. I use it while reading or working and forget the world around me. You will not regret getting this app.

Wow it's an amazing op that helps me sleep, absolutely marvelous. I like meditation and relaxing but sometimes I can't find the right app for it, I think I have found my app. Although the unlock the rest was just a way to get extra money it was pretty good either way

Excellent quality sound!. I am really impressed with this app. The sound quality is excellent and the tracks are so long that I've fallen asleep before I hit the end of them. Either that or they loop so seamlessly that I don't notice. I wish I would have found this before wasting my money on others. I only have 2 locations unlocked but so far I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Simply gorgeous!. I use Sunny to give myself an oasis of calm and relaxation during my lunch hour at work. Being able to use the timer is a far more pleasing and rewarding experience that signals the end of my lunch hour than a traditional alarm on my iPhone.

Exemplary App!. Have used several apps like this, but none had the depth and flexibility of expression this one has. Sound clarity is excellent. The ability to slide each sound effect to personalize an experience is comforting. Love the layered picture which permits "peeking" at the creatures on the beach.

Transports you instantly to another realm. An experience that has to be tried to believe. Have used to help with focus work on computer and was delighted with results. Kept me much more focused and on track than my usual self. Have also used in bedroom to help child (age 5) relax and calm his over stimulated brain (seems to have all the questions he's "meant to" ask during the day, plague him at bedtime. Though its certainly not the same as listening through a decent pair of headphones, our bluetooth speaker does do a good job of broadcasting the sounds. He has said its been helpful in relieving some of the racing thoughts vying for attention at night. I did check on him and he was asleep within a half hour (something considered out of ordinary, usual time is 1-2 hours). I am excited to keep on trying this.

Excellent for relaxation. The gentle waves are great, and they're different each chapter. The stories are kind of cheesy but exciting at the same time. I still enjoy reading along each chapter and getting further along in the story. Over all I love it.

Clever, well executed audio and visual offerings!. "Windy" was my introduction to Franz Bruckhoff's unique and refreshing approach to composing audio and visual apps. ...then Thunderspace, and most recently, Sunny. I alternate between all three regularly. I find each of the apps especially effective in masking "mind monkey" thoughts that prevent effective relaxation and sleep.

Great, but. I love it as everyone has already said. One thing caught me by surprise and that was that I can't broadcast to my Apple TV. And that's why I purchased it to listen through my TV & sound system. I saw the arrow box and just assumed it would have this feature. Am I missing something? Charlie

Great relaxation app. I saw this on Appgratius one day and thought I'd give it a go and so glad I did. The graphics and sounds (controls) are all great and in fact so calming I wanted to sleep right at my desk. I might be sleep deprived but that's not app related! I do fell if I'd paid $2.99 they should give you all the beaches. I hate when you buy an app and all is not included, otherwise make it free and have in app purchase, but not both 😠. Good job app development team!!

3D sounds!!. Windy and Sunny make writing a test plan and/or a report easier. Perfect in cubeville, drowns out the nail clippings and/or hamsters determined to get the last crumbs out of a potato chip bag. Sunny envelopes you and puts you on the beach. Only thing I'd ask for, is additional songs/tunes, and longer sound bites. Doing good, keep it up

Bliss. I use different scenes for sleep and meditation, sometimes for writing (the thunderstorms app works great for that too) and the incredible realism provided by the way the sounds are put together spatially sets it apart and far above all other similar apps. The ironic thing in the reviews is that those people who are flipping out because of one detail or another ["Oh no! Ihat an outrage! I have to pay more for more sound?! Police!!" Why is that so objectionable? Pay a little more, get a little more. What you get initially is worth the price of the app by itself! After a couple of days with the original sounds, I very happily paid a few more dollars to get all the sounds forever and have never been sorry. :) Anyway...] -- those are the people who could probably benefit most from twenty minutes a day of meditation made so much easier and more satisfying with Sunny. Ah well -- if you want to be angry, you can always find reasons. But if you're looking for some peace of mind, this is definitely one way to travel. Cheers! And thanks again. :)

warning Only one scene initially available. The app opens only with only one scene enabled and you are insulted to pay more to unlock them all or keep listening. I read the author's blog about his reasoning but it just comes across as greedy to charge $2.99 and ask for more now when he claimed in previous posts to charge 1.99 and ask a dollar more to unlock on par with windy's price. I was so upset at this ruse that I had terrible insomnia the night of the purchase. I would I buy this if possible.

Nice, one suggestion. It would be great if there was an option for the screen to move very slowly while the app is idle. Much like if you very slowly drag your finger over the screen and see the cool parallax effect, only it would do this unattended. I think it would really look amazing sitting on a stand next to my computer while I work, and give me something interesting to glance at while relaxing to the 3d audio.

Nice sounds. I use it for meditation, and like the fact I can set the timer to whatever interval I choose. I also like the ability to adjust the sound components. I would give it 5 stars if the image moved like waves coming into a beach, which would be perfect for my meditation sessions.

Soothing. So perfect for relaxing

Wonderful. I like how it is put together and I DEFINITELY love the story you can read with it. Nothing relaxes me more than reading and the idea of putting reading with soothing sounds is genius. I hate that you have to pay money for the rest of it but I understand that they have to make money somewhere. It's cool. They deserve it.

Very nice. App is very nice. I like being able to adjust the levels of sounds - more rain, more birds, fewer crickets, music or not etc. The graphics are visually appealing as well. I bought the other related apps as well for my iPad. I need to buy them for my phone, which would be more practical for me.

Realistic nature sounds.. The recordings are extremely well done. How nice to have a stunning visual to look at too, I use it as a meditation tool for a minute or two, then close my eyes and relax off to sleep. The combination of audio and visual is enough to slow down my mental chatter.

A Little Piece of Sunshine. I stumbled upon this app when it was being offered for free and I'm glad I took the chance. I have Windy and I didn't think Franz could top that. Sunny is literally like a ray of sunshine. The ocean sounds are beautiful and I love how you can mix in the music, birds, or rain or even all three! Simply amazing!

Great to fall asleep to. I've bought all 3 of these apps. I personally like thunderspace app the best with its ability to put the screen to sleep while enabling the flash on your camera as the "lightning." I use this one for the kids nap times.

Yesss!!. I have bought several apps to fall asleep to and this blows all the others away. Five stars for helping me sleep. Five stars for the story. Five stars for the art and sounds. Please make more of these once I finish the storyline on this one. Thank you!

Amazingly beautiful. I can always hear the loop in a sound app. This one is so calming and relaxing. Can't wait to see the new things to be unlocked. I download and delete a lot of apps. Definitely keeping this one. 👏🌊☔️

As usual a masterpiece. As per his usual, Franz has brought us another masterpiece of sound. It is immersive and allows the user to tweak settings so they can hear more or less of certain noises in various frequencies. Franz also includes a unique story and I find myself dying to complete it. However, and this may be personal preference, I find that the various beaches included on this lack the same variety as the thunderstorms in thunderspace. None the less a great app

Continues to get better. The continued refinement of this app only makes an already great app that much better. If you're playing it through the iPad or iPhone speakers, you can't fully appreciate the remastered sound, but through noise canceling headphones, it's a nice improvement. I love the suite of background sound apps this company has come out with. I use them daily for HOURS and hours. Probably coming up on two years when I got Windy, and last year bought Sunny. These apps have improved my quality of sleep and general level of happiness - seriously love this app.

Wonderful ocean sounds. Downloaded the free portion. Waiting for more while I use the app everyday.... Just not convinced that the other sections (outside of the 2 free I have now) could be so different that would compel me to purchase. Will give five stars when I reach a few more segments. The app I really love by this developer is Thunderspace - highly recommend if you love storms.

Best. Relaxation. App. Ever.. Most ambient sounds apps have a short loop time on sound effects and music. This one has longer loops, which makes for an over-all more relaxing experience. Game-like achievements unlock additional features with just a few minutes of daily use. If you're like me, that's a piece of cake. Only $1.99 to unlock full features.

😄😕😒. Great sounds!

A great companion to Thunderspace. While I find Thunderspace more motivating and energizing while working, Sunny is great when I want to relax. The new mixer allows for very nice, highly customizable blending of music and sound effects on all "beaches," and the direct integration with Thunderspace and Windy is a nice touch -- though I don't think either Thunderspace or Windy complement Sunny as well as they complement each other. Overall, a beautiful app, imaginatively and gracefully designed.

Love it!!. I use it get calm sleep! Love it!!

Not as great as early reviews claim. I am highly suspicious of some of these early reviews. I believe they may have been paid for. This app has very little content. You get a few pictures and some short noise loops. The first scene has music (however short and monotonous) which implies later scenes will as well but when you pay for the in app purchase you get just more ocean noise. Also the story is repetitive and doesn't advance much throughout the scenes, and it has no ending. It just cuts off abruptly at the last scene.

It's so soothing and relaxing.. The music and natural sounds are so relaxing. They clear your mind and they can help you get to sleep. Of course it's not the only feature, that's another factor I personally love. There's a story to it (the story is very well written too, which makes it even better). I give this app five stars for its wonderful work!

Lovely. This reminds me of a much loved relaxation tape I had as a child. Sometimes my mind won't let me fall asleep, no matter how tired I am, hence why I have gotten so many sleep aid apps. The problem with most is my busy brain finds the pattern of the sounds and the loop point, but so far so good with Sunny. Very long, and very peaceful, love the gentle music in the background. Well done.

Super. I love it ..

A great relation tool. I love the sounds and look forward to getting to kore beaches since the main sound of the see are different, the art work is good but stories are unsatisfying. The most interesting thin is that if you use the program to relax you will unlock everything in the program without paying. It like the author is saying: relax use this as intended and i'll give it to you because you deserve it. But, be impatient or frustrated and you can buy everything but the experience the programs for but which you are too impatient to get. The author should add an in app purchase for those who experienced and are grateful. I'll update this review to five stars if it turns the beaches in my future are as good as the two i have now
