Welcome Admiral! Your mission is to select a fleet of warships, arm them by selecting their weapons, assign captains and destroy the enemy fleet. You'll have complete control of this mission, all the way down to what angle and how much power should be put into each shot. Battle Fleet 2 is at your command, Admiral!

Battle Fleet 2 is the radically improved sequel to the original and has kept the “Worms” / “Scorched Earth” style angle+power mechanic, but now features full 3D modeling of terrain, ships, and ship hit locations. Hit the the engines and cripple the enemy's maneuverability, or aim for the command center and disable the ship for an entire turn. Ships are more realistic in which weapon compliments they can carry, and ship control is more intuitive. Battle Fleet 2 also now features Fog of War, allowing for stealth tactics and surprise attacks to be a viable strategy as well as adding the importance of using ships and aircraft for recon as well as attacks. With a full featured campaign and a variety of single play scenarios, Battle Fleet 2 will keep even the saltiest of sea-dogs satisfied.

Feature List
- Build your fleet from 7 different ship classes each with different hardpoint locations for mounting different weapons, different mobility, and different hit locations.
- Use small caliber guns to pinpoint your shot and switch to devastating salvo mode, forcing all available guns to fire at the same location.
- Equip your ships with a wide variety of weapons including AA guns, torpedoes, and different caliber naval artillery.
- Utilize or neutralize bombers and recon planes launched from island bases, aircraft carriers, or cruisers.
- Assign captains to each ship to determine the ship's turn order
- Play the strategic campaign mode, random skirmish mode, full cross platform multiplayer, or even hotseat multiplayer.
- Use recon to clear Fog of War and defeat enemy ground based airfields and coastal artillery.
- Deploy Strategic Command Cards to surprise your enemies with special actions like deploying mines, sabotage, enhanced aiming, airstrikes and more!
- Battle Fleet 2 features full 3D models of WW2 era ships.

Great game, too short. I love the game and the graphics are amazing. I highly recommend this but u should make another game where u have a base and there's a server where u can attack other players online with ships and you can mount defense on your base. Please consider!

Grrrrreat!!!!. This is a really outstanding game.

Excellent Naval combat game. Update: I like the new BF2 update to 1.23. As usual excellent work and best naval simulator for the IPad. Just got the updated BF2 with the Atlantic campaigns. The AI is now so much more challenging. I used to smoke the older version. Now when I lay a trap for a destroyer the AI does not go rushing in to get torpedoed. It waits and calls in an air strike. I can see I will have to thinks things through now. Suggested enhancement -Now all you need is to send the troop ships to a spot off an island or other land mass for say three turns to simulate an invasion. That would be awesome. Best WW2 Naval simulator out there hands down. ——————————————— I bought B.F. 1 as well and it was good, this version is a big improvement. I give the graphics an A-. The land masses could be a little better. The Naval artillery portion is about perfect in this game except for maybe the distance the ships could fling those shells. Typically a destroyer 6 inch gun could travel about 21,500 yards. B.F.2 is about 3,000 yards. The aircraft carriers have a little room for improvement. Carriers were deadly against ships in WW2. No bugs that I have noticed. But if you want a very good Naval combat game without the arcade style foolishness this is for you. I think it is well worth the $4.99 price tag.

Battle Fleet 2. One of mine and my friends favorite game for the I Pad. I would recommend keeping the mechanics pretty much the same however needs added playability. For example more campaign enhancement's such as a what if campaign, choice to pick airfields and shore batteries with prestige points and PT boats, transports, Oilers and limited marine invasion. I find that most games by the third revision change the games mechanics too much and destroy the feel for the game. Keep up the good work. A steady customer Raymond

This is a lot of fun. A good mix of strategy and physics. You shouldn't need instructions, like some of the complaints seem to be. It's very intuitive and the controls are easy. It is not mindless shoot em up, so that may make it hard for some to get into. The graphics are pretty awesome and the sounds of the warfare is well done too. A very good game overall.

Well made, addicting. My favorite game so far on the ipad, it's ingeniously created and once you start a campaign you can't put it down!

Excellent Game. One of the best games in the store. Quite underrated.

Not great. Lots of moving your ships trying to fire at other ships. Hard to figure range when shooting and instructions nonexistent. Game gets boring and campaign is confusing...not worth $ will be removing as so many have been.

Not what I was hoping for.. The gameplay is tedious and not nearly as engaging as the other fleet games.

Rigged. This game cheated me out of a victory

Couple bugs. There is a problem with moving troops from South Africa because the text box is blocking the move button plz fix soon

Crashes. Don't get this app!!! You will love it so much that every time it crashes (once every 5 minutes) you will shed tears. If they fix the crashes, then this would be the best app

Decent game. Entertaining, not too complicated. My only issue is if running my iPad Pro on battery it drains the power very quickly. Pretty much must have the iPad plugged in.

Unplayable. Got potential but it just crashes, loses fleet.. My hopes were high with the update. But the fact of the matter is the thing crashes even more. With the update it crashes at the beginning or end of battle and once it recovers you find that both your fleet and the opposing fleet disappear. How would you feel if you took six hours to build up a fleet, battle an enemy, end the battle in victory, only to have the system crash and once it recovers you find no fleet, no victory, and you have to replay the last six hours all over again? If you do buy the game you'll get emotionally attached and see the potential but you'll get frustrated beyond belief. And that's not what games are supposed to do to you.

Admirals playing at dice. Immersion: Graphically the game is not unimpressive, the user interface is good for this type of game. The immersion is broken slightly by the gameplay. The distance each ship will move and severity of rudder input is not clearly spelled out, and feels less like being at the helm, than it does being up in the spotting tower, shouting orders with a megaphone to the helmsman. Combat is also equal parts good, and frustrating. Lining up the perfect shot is easy and tactile. Difficulty: Combat is an exercise in frustration, the order of battle is seemingly random, and aiming shells is an exercise in frustration, players are provided a fairly accurate method of estimating range, for no reason at all as it happens. The bottom slider is not a range measure, but a measure of the amount of powder required to propel the shell, which makes knowing the range useless. Lasting Appeal: Players will either love the complexity of this game, or find it frustratingly random and give up.

Addictive. This app is so addictive that I have had to delete it three times so far so that I wouldn't be tempted to play while other real life issues needed to be addressed. I am a chess player and love the strategy aspect of this game. My only complaint is that not more people use it so that I might enjoy online games.

Well done naval game. Though I've played only two skirmishes the game appears to be a very good naval combat sim without any significant blemishes.

WORST GAME EVER. This game is a waste of $10 dollars. The ship’s designs are just freakin stupid. If I were to rate zero star I would do it

Good follow-up to the original. I enjoyed the first Battle Fleet for what it was. This one is a pretty big improvement but the basic game okay is the same. I like that you added salvos. Firing each individual weapon was getting tiresome. Also love the added strategy of having to take sections of the Pacific. A little buggy here and there. For example my ships sometimes fire a salvo when they aren't supposed to and sometimes a ship gets a turn but you can actually do anything. Once those are ironed out it will be great.

Incomprehensible. Cannot for the life of me figure out how to control this game. Instructions useless. I want a refund. Ha ha on that.

Very good. Recent addition of subs and depth charges makes it really interesting....more a tactical game than a strategy game, but one of 2 naval games I play a lot I like that they keep evolving it....with transports now. And, they listen to customer feedback, and even reply.

So glad I bought this game. I can't say enough great things about this game. I got it because of my love for naval games but am blown away by how great of a game it is overall. It's great for a quick skirmish of a long strategic battle that I can loose myself in. There aren't enough stars to rate this game with

Awesome. I really like this game!

A lot like Risk but with naval combat. Fun!. I recently purchased both the iPad and Mac versions of this game from their respective App Stores. With the exception of the interface (finger tap vs. mouse/keyboard) the games are identical, so this review will serve for both versions. Battle Fleet 2 is a turn-based simple simulation of naval combat in the Pacific theater of World War II. There are several ways to play: 1-Campaign, 2-Quick Battle, and 3-Custom Battle. Each mode can be played solo against an AI opponent, against a human opponent in "hot seat" mode (each of you takes turns using the same computer or iPad), or against a human opponent online. If you choose to play against a human opponent online, I recommend you make arrangements with a friend to do so in advance because I have never seen another player waiting in the lobby for another random player such as myself to show up and play. Integration with Apple's Game Center might help. The game has three elements: 1-Building ships (which includes some choice as to mounted weapons and – in custom battles only – choosing a captain), 2-Moving ships to capture and defend territory on a strategic map (it practice, this part feels a lot like Risk), and 3-Fighting enemy ships and installations on a tactical map. Only the Campaign includes moving ships on a strategic map; Quick Battle and Custom Battle are just as they sound, a single tactical battle only. There are three difficulty levels. On the lowest level, the AI makes poorer decisions in Campaign mode on the strategic map and has less-accurate fire on the tactical map. On the lowest level, the human player gets a little additional help aiming his guns on the tactical map consisting of added range circles to assist with setting gun range – since you can always hold up your hand or even a ruler to measure distance accurately on the screen, this is more of a convenience than a significant "help" to a new player and I'd rather that the double range circles be in effect for all difficulty levels. Difficulty level has no effect on human vs human battles except for the inclusion or deletion of the additional range circles. At the highest difficulty the AI is still pretty dumb strategically but its weapons fire on the tactical map is deadly accurate. The weakest part of the AI is the way it leaves zones with shipyards undefended and does not focus on capturing the human player's zones with shipyards. Ships can only be built and repaired in zones with shipyards so once a player (AI or human) has no zones with shipyards the game is essentially over (unless a shipyard zone can be recaptured very quickly) and it's time to metaphorically tip over your king. The AI, even on the highest level, is too easily lured away from its shipyards with a bait ship or small bait fleet allowing the human player to easily capture the AI's shipyards and then just defend them until the AI exhausts its remaining ships through attrition. A little more AI coding in a future update would go a long way to correct this. Obviously it's a nonissue when playing against a friend. On the tactical map, ships can and will collide with each other and shoot friendly units, the former of which is both intensely annoying and causes significant damage. While it's unlikely you'll shoot your own ships, it is quite easy to collide with one of your own ships so when you first start playing be sure to pay attention to potential collisions when plotting movement. Collisions at the beginning of battles are a serious risk as your ships are semi-randomly deployed on the tactical map and can be very, very close to each other and directly behind/in front of each other. This could be easily avoided if the game allowed the player to deploy his ships as he likes within a defined deployment zone before the first turn of the tactical battle. I don't like the Strategic Command Cards. They are placed randomly on the tactical map as "power-ups" and just disrupt the entire feel of the game for me. I'd prefer that each player get assigned, or get to choose, a certain number of cards before the first turn of each battle and use them when and as he sees fit during that battle. Running around the map to pick up cards before the other player gets to them just doesn't feel like WWII naval combat to me. I could live without destructible terrain, too. When playing the campaign, it would be nice to be able to select the zones for your starting ships rather than your starting ships beginning wherever the game decides they need to be before the first turn. I'd also like to choose the ships (and captains) at the beginning of a campaign rather than getting assigned ships (often built very strangely and asymmetrically) and random captains. Captains do gain experience during battles so if your ships survive battles – even if you have to disengage (i.e. run away) you will eventually have ships with better initiative (i.e. move order) than your opponent who loses more ships even if he replaces them with fresh ships (which will have inexperienced captains). That sounds like a lot of complaints and wish list items, but the game plays very nicely whether you want a quick 5-minute battle while waiting for a phone call or want to play a campaign which might take a few hours. I've experienced one technical glitch on the iPad (resolved by force-quitting the game and picking up from my last save point) and the Mac version has been absolutely error-free. I especially like that the Mac version uses normal Mac OS X window mode and full-screen mode rather than the forced window mode or full-screen mode which many games employ. Highly recommended!

Hey - this is kind of fun. Not complicated like Harpoon or CMANO but entertaining and well made. I would like to see you guys come out with DLC or an add on that allows for beach landings / island invasions with naval forces in support or trying to intercept invasions. Perhaps with land based air on islands as well. Keep up the good work !

Great concept work in progress. This is going to be a great game, kudos to the developers. Only one crash when I upgraded rangefinder on a ship, but my feedback for the developers is that the game play is still a bit sluggish and needs to become more automated to improve the game. Less of the aiming (just a bit more automated if even random) leaving more enjoyment in the movement and strategy. This game has a great real time interface (not the usual hex layout in battle) it could use more battle imagery ( ships sinking detail ) but your development team has a hit here. I'll keep playing this version waiting for more! A few weeks later I've maxed out the enjoyment, really enjoyed the game, hope for more depth and detail. Global version could be more challenging. Future versions should offer reenactments of famous battles such as Midway & Pearl Harbor. Nice job.

Great game for $5. In the new area of freemium, this game is a refreshing change. It features the same turn-based combat system as the first match, with a lot of new fun features. You can build your own ships, focusing on damage, aircraft carriers supported by AA, or whatever you prefer. Fog of war is incorporated, and the campaign gameplay was smooth, if not all that challenging on medium. A very enjoyable, fun game.

Sinking feeling. This is really fun. I am enjoying every bit of this game. Sure there are virtually no helpful instructions leaving players to just figure it all out, but I didn't find it all that difficult to understand. However I can't deny that some kind of comprehensive tutorial would have been nice. The graphics are cool, the challenge is cool, and I'm thoroughly enjoying this game.

Captain Dunsel. The game is a blast to play both single and multiplayer. BUT, needs better mutiplayer support. The game needs to bump a player that is inactive. Today I have been unable to engage in multiplayer because one guy has been on for 5 hours idle. Please do something about this problem!

Great game. It does not seem that upgrades on ships do much for you and it almost seems like you have to buy more points if you want to finish the game but otherwise great game.

Really good. I got to say I was really impressed by this and there is nothing like (beside the first battle fleet). And the new update adding submariners to the game and is a real game changer in strategy. Over all five stars and I recommend to any one that likes naval strategy games.

Cool and unique strategy game. Yes! Atlantic campaign is here! Original Review: Played the original game a lot and this one blows it out of the water. Looks great and has lots of content. The strategy campaign map gives it a lot of replay value. Great to see it’s being updated and the new submarines update finally adds subs to the game, which gives you a whole new strategy to go after. Can’t wait to see more content, i.e.: add an Atlantic campaign and even more ships please :)

Must Play. Great strategy game with total command of fleet assets in all scenarios of naval warfare. A Must have!

Great fun and lots of long play time. Excellent for passing hours on the treadmill at the gym. Couple of minor improvements to move play along: - when building new ships, use whatever the last gun configuration used was rather than having to reselect each time - when moving from ship to ship have option to automatically cancel rather than having to hit the button to cancel the name display and scroll

Lots of fun!. Great game, awesome with a friend, good strategy, addicting, good graphics, great job!

Good navy game.. Hi I really love this game. However, it is time consuming and there are bugs in the campaign which will stop player to save and move to the next turn.

Solid and fun turn based naval combat. I enjoyed the original Battle Fleet and this is a really great sequel to that. Graphics are greatly improved and is gameplay and the addition of campaigns and captains is awesome. In fact, campaigns alone really makes this game worth the buy if you mostly play solo. Multiplayer is good too and connecting to games works pretty well.

Balance Issues. The game needs some rebalancing. The Japanese position is considerably more advantageous considering how close Hawaii is to the mainland where as for the Japanese the supply lines are extremely long. Also carriers are underwhelming against the battleships with in reality WWII was the advent of carrier superiority and the death of battleships. Lastly game gets boring after while. It's like risk but you can only play one other person or computer.

3.5 stars, really.... To begin with the positives, the game looks great and is a big jump forward from BF1 in terms of graphics. I really like how it seamlessly merges the large-scale tactical map view with the smaller-scale realistic view. Nicely done. The controls are quite easy to use once you catch on to the mechanics. The weapons are improved as well, with fair trade-offs between power, range and rate of fire between different guns and torpedoes. I admire what the developers are going for with the single player campaign. The meta-game of battling for and capturing the different theatres across the Pacific is a great idea. Unfortunately, the game play just doesn't do justice to the concept (which brings me to the negatives). To begin with, the AI is pretty terrible. Even on the hardest difficulty, the computer opponents gunnery is hit and miss, but mostly miss. Furthermore, the computer makes very unwise decisions with respect to building ships, arraying its forces, and attacking when at a disadvantage. As a result, I was able to steam roll the campaign on my first try, on the hardest difficulty. It's so easy that there's just no challenge and thus, no fun. My other beef with the game is that there does not seem to be any multiplayer community (not yet anyway). Hopefully this changes because single player gets old quick. All and all, this game could be very good if more time and effort was put into augmenting the AI. At 5 bucks a pop, there's no reason why this can't be done. Get on it developers!

A lot of fun. I really enjoyed playing Battlefleet 1, and although it took a little bit to adapt to the game play in Battlefleet 2, the graphics and the incredibly fun strategic campaign make this some of the most enjoyable gameplay I've had on an iPad. I would suggest Battlefleet 2 to my friends and family and anyone who enjoys a strategic WWII game.
