Ridiculous cost. I used to have this a while back because the data was free. Now they are charging for each month. Seems like a really steep cost for something so basic. Going to use my new programming skills to create my own free version. As fast as I re-downloaded this app, I’ll be deleting it.

Great Sunrise & Sunset App. This is a very user friendly app that gives you the straight information that you would require if you are interested in not only the sunrise and sunset times but the first land last light times as well.

Not recommended! Deleting this app. It used to allow you to see beyond the current month. Now they just want your money for basic information. It’s December 27th right now and it won’t let me see next week! No January information. That’s only 5 days from now. Don’t bother with this app. There are better ones out there.

Great App. I’m a morning person, up before dWn most days and it’s nice knowing when the sun is gonna peep up. I and also like to know how much lite is left in my day. With that said, great tool!

Very Accurate. I compared the times put forward in this app, and they’re just as accurate as the “old farmers almanac”. Good job!

Don’t waste your money. This is a simple app that you shouldn’t have to pay for. The free version is ok but there has to be better out there. And the amount of money they want you to pay for the information given is obscene. They aren’t offering information that you can’t find easily a million other places and the way it’s presented doesn’t justify the cost either. If you aren’t vision impaired and you just need quick info, the free version is fine. But no way am I paying $2 a month for it.

It used to be better but still good. This app used to be better but now I can’t see past a month in the future and they used to have no premium options but now there are.

Very Nice App. I am enjoying the accuracy, ease of use and the attractive interface. The app is instantly responds to date changes. The Last Light feature is brilliant.

Deceiving app. I downloaded the app because it was exactly what I was looking for, sunrise, sunset and a 15 day forecast but when I try to get that 15 day forecast, it wanted to charge me for premium account. Why do I have to pay for it if it already says I can get a 15 day forecast. I haven’t used it, but I sure would like to, without having to pay to get what they said would come with the app in the first place.

Very useful application. It’s a great app I use frequently to find out how much daylight I have left in a day, sunrise and sunset for my current location and other locations. It will tell you in real time what you have and what you will get today and now, and in the future. I strongly recommend this for Mariners sportsman and anyone that wants to utilize daylight.

Is it still light there?. We know that the higher up in the country you are makes a big difference in the length of days, but how much? This will let you compare Seattle and San Diego!

Life Saver. I have low vision but can drive during daylight. This app is a great source of comfort because I can better time my departures and arrivals, hanging in to what independence have! BIG PLUS - my kids think I can read the sky and wind!!

Now costs $$. They did change so you cannot look at future without paying for it. Very disappointing. Corporate America wins again. LOL

Simple and accurate. Simple and accurate. I downloaded this app for my trip to OBX. Up early ever morning to watch the sunrise on the beach. App made it very easy to time things. Would recommend.

Get this app!. As summer comes to a close in the Northern Hemisphere, the sun’s rays disappear earlier and earlier, so I use the Future screen to get the most out of the shortening days. In addition, knowing the dates and times of the approaching solstices and equinoxes connects me to the movement of our planet on its journey around the sun.

One of My Favorites!. Simply, I look forward to using the app daily to know exactly the time of the sunrise & sunset. And, I especially enjoy knowing how much time until the sunrise & sunset. Dr Mkh

There should be a one time fee. Paying $1.99 a month isn’t worth it to see sunrise and sunsets for the whole year. The only good feature that I really like is that it tells you how many hours of daylight are left and when the first light is and the last light. It’s very disappointing for the price. As far as the equinox, you can find that on any calendar. You have no way to preview all features it unless you pay for it. I canceled it right after.

Easy to use. The data is 100% correct and has helped with planning for many events. It is instantly available and easy to use.

Access to archive dates prior to 2000. I would like to see the dates prior to the year 2000 opened up. For instance, I’d like to be able to view sunrise/sunset times for January 3, 1944. I saw that the dates prior to 2000 were grayed out, purchased the $2.99 premium package and the dates are still grayed out.

Perfect App. Often, apps over perform or under perform. This app gets it just right- gives me everything I expect and want to know about the topic - sunrise/sunset - not more not less, and it does it well.

Charges $2/month for super basic info, not worth it. The free version of this app does nothing more than weather apps I already have. If you want something more useful, you have to subscribe. I would be fine with a small onetime payment, but this is not available, despite the authors previous claims. You have to subscribe. There are lots of free services on the web that do even more, I'll just use those.

Simple and effective. As a nature sound recordist, I spend almost a quarter of the year camping. Most of that is isolated in the wilderness. I need to keep track of sun rise and set times as well as twilight hours so that I know when to expect certain species to be out and around. This app makes it a simple button press away. Helpful Info. These times are very useful for any outdoor activities, especially hiking! If you want to be sure to return before it gets dark the last light time is very helpful! Keeps you out of trouble of getting lost hiking in the dark!!

No warning that you have to subscribe. The app will show you sunrise and sunset times as well as the solstices and equinoxes. Very basic functions, but toy have to subscribe to use the calendar function. This is not shown up front (i.e. in app purchases) and specifically what i was looking for. Not worth $10 a year. I’ll just google it when i need it.

Keeping you in the know!. This clean, easy to read app...provides me sun-up & sun-down times every day! If you are an outdoorsman that needs to know about natures miracle that most of us take for granted...this is your app!

Wonderful app. I’ve been using it for a long time and feel it is the most dependable and useful for it’s purpose. I use it every day.

Does what it says. Very useful does what I want plus extra things that are nice to have. The only minor bug was when on the calendar view (where you set the day). You have to press today Date several times before the right day and year appear. Overall a minor bug of little impact in-app function.

Requires subscription for more than very basic features. Free version just gives you local sunrise and sunset times, which most weather apps include. To get times beyond current month, or to see other locations, requires a subscription.

Simple, Easy To Use!. It’s a great app for getting quick info about sunrises and sunsets. I use this app to schedule photography sessions and it is pretty easy to access that information.

Favorite App. This is one of my favorite apps and one of the few that I actually paid for. Highly recommended!

Thanks. I have to put the chickens to bed one night a week about half an hour before sunset. This app is almost perfect. Is there a way to set an alarm to remind me? If there is I will give the app a fifth star.

Simple and quick sun info. Also shows first and last light which I find more useful than sunrise /sunset info for planning outside activities

Love this app except.... I upgraded to Premium but Premium doesn’t extend to members on the Family Plan. Why? It’s a one-time purchase. I’m not paying another $2.99 so my wife can have Premium too. She can just look on my phone. I would understand if this was a subscription but it’s a one-time purchase. 🤷‍♂️

Have to pay to see into the future???. I have loved this app for years to plan out early morning runs. I have loved having the ability to search a month (or more) out to see when the sun will rise or set. All of the sudden I’m being asked to pay to see future sunsets. I have gladly watched the ads and waited patiently but this is disappointing. I can’t imagine paying $2.99 a month to get content that can be found elsewhere for free. And that’s exactly what I will do from now on...look elsewhere. You lost a longtime happy customer...I hope it was worth it.

Simple does what I want. Plus helps beat the winter blues. Each day brings a little more light until it doesn’t but we will cross that bridge later.

Enjoy. I don't know why but I recently became interested in the time the sun rises and sets. It’s helpful with my coming and going before dark. I do not like night driving. Must be old age. It really is interesting.

Simple and useful. I like this app for its straightforward approach. Doesn’t have all the extra nonsense sometimes found in astronomical apps. Just gives the time of sunrise and civil twilight. That’s all I needed.

Bugs seem to need resolved. I love this app and have been using it for a long time. One of my favorite features is the ability to check future dates and see their sunrise/sunset times and total length of daylight. In winter, it’s a nice, concrete reminder that the sunlight is slowly returning. However, the app won’t allow me to look at dates beyond June 30, 2019. I find this very disappointing, and am hoping for an update in the near future that will fix this bug. A great app overall, but this is putting a damper on my enjoyment.

Morning Runs!. I love this app because it helps me plan my morning runs. Planning in advance keeps me on track and if it’s going to be too dark in the morning I can make safer workout decisions like run in the afternoon or hit the gym!

Great for hunting/fishing since you really need to know when it will get dark or light. I use it constantly during hunting season

Handy little app. Sometimes you just want to know and this works wherever you are.

Almost useless to me. I would give this app at least three stars except that the frequency and types of ads are unacceptable. Even though I consider it to be a little high, I would buy the ad free upgrade except that it has NO WATCH COMPLICATION. I’m not making that up. You read that right, it has no watch complication. A sunrise/sunset app without a watch complication is all but utterly useless to me.

Northern hemisphere app. Does what is claimed. Clean look. Fails to recognize reversed seasons in Southern Hemisphere.

Easy to use. Simple and easy to use, I can get the sunrise/sunset times at the press of a button for today, and easily search ahead or back for any time and date. Like most programs today it knows your current location or you can set for any world location. Very good user interface.

Only northern hemisphere solstice dates. The solstice dates are one of the reasons I wanted to try this app but I’m disappointed that the dates displayed are only the northern hemisphere and there’s no (at least, clear) way of changing this.

Sunrise. Needs a current time placed within the app,maybe the background could change colour with the change in daylight.

Accuracy Plus. As a dusk photographer, this app allows me to plan my shoots down to the last few seconds. It contains all the vital sunrise/set info, and accurate.

Handy app. Does the job it is designed for. Helps me being in the transport industry only being to operate during daylight hours plan my days in advance.

Great, but..... App doesn't remember my location. I rarely have location services on and so I need to enter my location yet the app does t remember this when I next open it.

I'm glad it's free. Solstice dates are listed according to northern hemisphere seasons, despite saying that my location is Southern Hemisphere. Also every time I tap a button at the bottom of the screen an advertisement comes up. No way to stop them. Glad this app is a freebie as I would want my money back otherwise.

Please add alarms. Dear Peter I really like your well-presented and functional app. To make it perfect for me, could you please consider adding alarms? I’d like an alarm that would alert me when there’s a certain amount of time left until sunset. This would help me time my walk for the most sun-safe time of the day and still have me get back before dark. I don’t think any other app does this and I’d be happy to pay for that function as an in-app purchase.

Meh.... It works but it gives you information that you can get from a weather app, it’s nothing really special. It’d be better if they showed the time of different phases of the night, for example the time of civil twilight and nautical twilight, not just sunrise and sunset times.

Sunrise to Sunset. I love to open this app every morning to check time of sunrise and sunset daily. I would feel lost without it!

The very basics for free. The free app has nothing special about it. Be prepared to pay if you want anything more than the current month statistics.

Recommend!. I contacted the developer, Peter, to ask about the app’s ability to work completely offline (to save my data). He responded quickly, was honest & very polite 🙂. He suggested I try the free version to be sure - I’m not a fan of ads but I appreciated that Peter didn’t push me to buy so I tried it. The app works very nicely, gives options for how to use your location & definitely works completely offline. It is logically set up & looks great -so pleased, I bought it. 100% recommend!

A pain. Every time I open it, it tells me I’m somewhere in Africa. Which I am not. Have to set location manually, and that works about half the time.

No Trump Ads. I’m used to apps with ads but the last time I opened it, I was presented with some sort of poll asking if we should impeach trump. This was the entire screen and there no way to opt out and just go to the app. I pulled the app up at a business event and was totally embarrassed that I served up politics when I only wanted to show it off.

Dark. I can no longer drive at night. This app helps me get to where I need to go safely.

Does not work for distant location. The app works fine for my current location. If I try to designate a distant location, a pin drops, but there is no information about the sunrise/sunset times

Too many commercials!. Every time you change the page, a commercial pops up. The only way to get rid of the commercial is to close the app and reopen it.

Great app. I’m a professional photographer and use this app all the time to plan shoots especially when I’m doing pre-sunrise or twilight shoots.

Fast & accurate. No need to scroll for exact times. Bonus: how much time remains of light/dark.
