Crashes when opening 100% of the time. This app is officially broken, and MMAjunkie can’t be bothered to fix it

Updates have ruined this app. Pretty much garbage now. Only writing this review as an obituary of sorts, since it’s now dead to me. Littered with ads that pop up with the slightest touch, even a scroll up. Way too aggressive advertising, buggy, and slow. Then there’s all the crashes with refusal to reopen unless completely uninstalled then reinstalled. Programmers are amateurs

Please stop app from pausing my music playback!. App is ok, but it kills me that every time I open it while listening to music, the app stops my music, and it’s not just when you open a video or something which would obviously be normal. It’s when you open the app making it frustrating to try and listen to music whilst perusing MMA news. Would have thought this would have been fixed by now. Many times I won’t bother opening app because I know it will stop my music.

Best MMA app. Love the app. Use it every day to stay up to date with the latest MMA news. I like the content about fighters and previous fights. Articles are always up immediately following fights. Only complaint is the app sometimes bugs out and closes on its own. Had to uninstall and redownload a few times. Great app, the best one for MMA news in my opinion.

Not awesome. The app typically has problems loading. The content is ok, but there are far more cons than pros. The app will immediately turn of any music playing when opened. Ppl have mentioned it for over a year but they ignore the feedback and just push out updates without addressing the issue. 1.6 out of 5 stars, which is its current score in the App Store, is fair for this app based on their unwillingness to fix simple issues.

Terrible. Seems the bugs never end. In fact there are so many bugs that it’s in a class by itself. They don’t them either. Just have to live with it crashing daily.

Known for crashes. I’ve had this app for a very long time. Through many different iPhone models. It is the most buggiest app I have ever had LOL I can’t believe after all these years that they still haven’t fixed it. It just blows my mind.

Terrible. I haven’t been able to open the app in months. It’s been worthless ever since they became part of the USA Today network. When it did open it wouldn’t update.

Broad MMA Coverage. MMA coverage is comprehensive, writing is above average. One of my favorite features is the event schedule, which includes dates, times, and cards. Also like the staff and fan picks. They have folks on the ground actually covering events.

Worst performing app I’ve got.. This is the most unreliable app I’ve ever used. Shuts down for no reason. Won’t open. No updates for weeks at a time. For an MMA lover, go elsewhere. Total waste of time.

Absolutely horrible. Have to delete then redownload every single time I attempt to open the app. They have the potential to be much better. Owner should be ashamed of himself. I’d love to buy this stupid app and hire IT to fix all these clowns problems

I wish they cared about this app. I’ve had this app for years and it’s totally unreliable. This entire week the app won’t load any stories. I’ve deleted and downloaded again and still doesn’t work. Total bummer

Trash. From the adds you get bombarded with, to the constant crashing, this app is hot garbage. God forbid you try to watch a video. Prepare to get annoyed within the first five minutes of downloading this app. Sad part is, I had this app years ago and nothing has changed. Same issues then and now.

Clunky and Not great. This app is crashing right now as soon as it is opened. Been doing this for 3 days. 2nd, when it does work, there is nowhere near enough quality news updates. Serious disappointment.

Horrible. I have had it for a long time just cause it really was the only decent app for a while. But it has gotten worse and worse over time. No updates on upcoming events or play by play amount other issues. At this point it is completely useless. I am deleting it.

Way too many ads. Downloaded the app, and deleted within 5 minutes. How about try not to kill your users with ads? Jesus..... Don't waste your time.

Fix please. Was a good app until the latest update I open it now and all I get is a blue screen with zero news but all the dates for the fights are there. Please fix!

Great articles Horrible app. When you are able to open a story you get an in-depth look at all current mma news. Unfortunately forced stops kick you out of the app constantly as you scroll through articles most articles have to be opened numerous times if you can even get them to load.

Horrible app. Fix your app. It always crashes. Only app on my phone that consistently crashes. Wouldn’t expect anything less from an app affiliated with the USA Today though. What a joke

What happened??? Doesn’t even work anymore. App used to be solid. Nothing even loads anymore. Super frustrating especially since they are partnered with a bigger more established company. Seriously what gives??? Never thought I’d ever leave a negative review for anything but this is useless.

Couple notes. I like the app to stay up with current affairs in the sport but Twitter mailbag needs to be revamped it’s too aggressive and vindictive. The two writers are always taking lot shots at each other rather than staying on topic. I’ve stopped reading it. Also the Twitter reacts segment needs to be cleaned up. On a mobile device it doesn’t load well and is constantly refreshing making it difficult to read .

Upcoming events. The up coming events haven’t worked in probably 3 months or more, what is going on? Also post events is hung up to February events. We’ve had a few since then...

Crash city!!!. Used to be a good app with awesome articles. All this app does now is crash. I delete it and reload it and after a couple of times it crashes again! It has a lot more pop up advertisement as well. Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Time to move on this app is garbage!!!

Glitchy. Constantly crashes

Always glitchy - always. Constantly have to close and reopen the app to get stories to update. Especially live event stuff. I really only use it because I can’t find another MMA app that shows upcoming events and cards. App constantly glitches. You’d think by now they’d get a developer who’d clean the bugs out but alas.. we continue

Junk. Over the last few days the news doesn’t load. Just the ads (of course). No updates in six months and they don’t seem to really care about bettering the app. Feedback is just dismissed.

The only App for MMA you need!. I been a diehard fan since the 90’s and grew up with this sport. MMAJunkie is one of the goat websites and their whole staff is rockstars.

App is horrific. Barely even functional. Crashes all of the time. Deleted after less than a week.

Bad and worse. Great content but made but it constantly shuts down and freezes and won’t play videos and glitches and won’t refresh. A truly piece of crap app. I like all the writing and the whole concept of the app construction but as I’m sure you are aware it does not function in the real world. It’s deleted and not coming back until something changes drastically. I’m trying some other MMA information sources

New and improved. The new look and feel makes this app very simple and easy to use. I enjoy listening to the videos and podcasts in the articles. Great content, my favorite MMA app.

Can't read the articles!. After the latest update, every article is cut off halfway down, then there is a ton of white space. It seems like everyone they "update" the app it gets harder to use. Come on guys! I would really like to read your articles, if only you would let me...

Too many ads. Horribly optimized for mobile. Ads are so intrusive you often times can’t bypass them without force closing the app. Good articles, when you can get to them, but The bad outweighs the good with this one.

Can you please update this app and fix the bugs?. I just noticed that this app hasn't been updated in a year and it shows. Every time I've opened the app this week it immediately crashes. This and other errors happen regularly. The articles are pretty good on the rare occasions the app works correctly. I'm a little surprised USA Today doesn't have it together better than this.

Frustrating and/or Simply Awful. First thing is the ads. If that comes up, maybe you’ll eventually be able to see articles. Of course it seems so slow-therefore complex-that they’re probably too busy dealing with our data and hence us waiting for anything to come up. Sometimes it just crashes. It’s really too bad that the writers can’t just write for us rather than dealing with some corporate data-dealer.

The site has great content but the App stinks. This is a great site with amazing up to date content. However the App stinks. Every other week it either does not update the stories or it completely crashes every time you open it. I don’t even know who to contact about it.

Ads are Unbearable. If you’re trying to find a good app for up to date news that isn’t as influenced by the UFC as ESPN is, this ain’t it. The ads at the end of articles interrupt the audio that is playing, so if you’re like me and want to check in on a few articles while listening to a Podcast or music, you have to close the article and then hit play again. Every. Time. I don’t mind ads, especially on free content, but not if they’re that invasive.

Crashes. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but the app keeps crashing. I’ve had the app for years, guess I’ll have to go somewhere else for my mma news.

Best yet but needs work. This is the best MMA app but it crashes sometimes. It has potential to be great.

Love the content - functionality is pitiful. Opens half the time and randomly quits when scrolling through articles. Keeps happening. Wish they would fix it.

Content Vs Functionality. Great content to always be updated with fight week. However, the bad functionality of the app makes us have to seek other routes of information.

Needs work. Has the News and it’s easy to access what you are looking for but my app crashes often and I have to uninstall and re install when it freezes on headlines for days at a time

What. Happened.. This app has been fantastic for YEARS but it’s like it suddenly quit on itself. It hasn’t been updated in 7mo so maybe they’re dumping it?

Most functions don’t work correctly. Most of the time videos don’t play. Now all content is completely gone. Really too bad, because the journalists are very good, some of the best in the biz. Too bad they can’t figure out technology better.

Waste of time. Can’t watch their native videos and when they add in social network links, it doesn’t load for 5 minutes and just keeps resetting to the top. They are going down hill and don’t seem to want to fix it. Check out mmafighting app. Much better.

Not very good. This app used to be better, but the more recent updates have ruined it. Mostly videos that don't load or don't match the title and a bunch of links to what people said on twitter. That's about all it is now. I'll be looking for another mma news app.

Ads pop up and hold you hostage. I used to like this app but they now have these video ads that pop up while scrolling or reading an article so you can’t see anything else. Gonna give them another week before I delete this forever.

Trash. If you’re not going to update your app just get rid of it. It doesn’t even open without needing to reinstall it 5 times a week. Pointless and garage.

Crashing. Constantly crashing even after new update very frustrating

App won’t even open. I’ve been using this app for about 10 years but something seems to be wrong with the latest version because on my iPhone 11 (with current software version) the app won’t even open. I’ve had to delete it and download a fresh version, then it opens 1-2 times before the exact same problem reoccurs. For a company as big as USA Today to have such problems is appalling. Get some better developers and create a new update to fix this.

Best mma app out there!. Gives all the up to date news on fights, fighters and press. One of most used apps on my iPhone.

Not the same!. After a recent update this app does not work the way it used to, it continuously drops out, freezes & cannot view any video footage.

Maybe needs a few more ads.. The amount of ads in the feed is crazy. They are super sensitive as well, so if you touch it slightly as you scroll then you will be taken out of app to Safari for the ad. Uninstalling this now as it's too frustrating.

Good. Love the new version, would love it better if you could buy a version of the app that blocked all the ads out but all in all a great improvement and love the new font.

Absolutely hopeless. After using the MMAJunkie app since inception I’m wiping it. This version is useless based on the time required to load it. There’s no point in having great content if you can’t access it in a timely fashion. The whole point of using IT is to provide rapid access to news as it breaks. By the time the post-fight analysis of UFC 216 is provided using this download, UFC 217 will be starting. Amazing that the USAToday developers could misengineer this so badly.

Slow. This used to be a good app. Now its very very slow. It seems to use a heap of data so beware of how much you use it. Needs an update to fix the speed and excessive data download. Cmon mma junkie you can do better than this.

MMA Crasher. Constantly crashes.

Keeps crashing. After lasted two update continually crashes cuts of page freezes and generally does not work like it should. Needs another 'update'.

Needs a lot of work.. I used to check MMA Junkie on my daily commute to work but now I can't even download the info quick enough and it chews about 1Gb a month in data usage. The ad countdown timer takes about 5:00 to reach zero when watching videos. This app has been a serious waste of my time and data. Great content though.

Just keeps getting worse. Gone are the insanely long load times, traded instead for so many hot-links interspersed through the articles that it's like trying to navigate a click bait article. Videos NEVER play properly and links to their own articles take you to their site instead of staying within the app. Add to that the fact that Ben Fowlkes' writing continues to get worse and worse seemingly on a weekly basis and this app is pretty much ready to retire.

Broken. Update caused app to stop functioning altogether... Goodbye junkie

Decent site , terrible app!!. Been using mmajunkie to follow the mma scene for years now and recently the app has began to constantly freeze while loading articles. Also fighter records are portly updated missing ALOT of stats

Buggy. Every 2 months or so, the app simply stops loading current (new) data. Mind-boggling how this keeps recurring. Waste of time!

Nothing but constant issues. Constant issues, honestly nothing but problems which sucks because I enjoy the app. My latest issue is none of the pictures or videos even show up. Usually it’s the content that doesn’t show up, so if it’s not one problem it’s another.

Avoid at all costs!!. Took 20 GB of data in one month .. Added 100$ to my bill.. What a joke..

Repeating Articles. Why does the top 3 stories are immediately repeated in the latest news??? Waste of space.

My Back Up. This app needs some extreme work. It feels very sluggish at times and the crashes (even on a brand new phone) are constant. The articles themselves never feel very professional as they are laced with spelling and grammatical errors all the time. I can find just about every story on this app that I can find elsewhere with less headaches. MMAJUNKIE will remain my backup app for news.

Videos don't play. Non of the videos play.

New update not great for iPhone 5. I've been using this app pretty much since it came out and I've liked everything about it except I've been having some issues with loading pages since the new update. It will load the photo gallery, ads and then about a paragraph of actual article before it just cuts off.

What happened?. This app used to be great.. But the updated version has been nothing but terrible. Please fix it, Guys! I dont wanna leave!

It used to be ok. Crashes constantly when loading articles. On the events tab many of the fighters, even known fighters, do not have pictures. Just go to the website until they get this hot garbage sorted out.

Strangled. How can one of the fastest apps become one of the slowest after an update? I was told by @mmajunkie to delete/reinstall. While it worked for a few days, it went back to sssddslllllloooooowwww and eating my battery.

Extreme data usage. I bought a new phone with a new provider and at one point brought it back because I swore there was a legit issue with the handset due to how much it was using when I looked at no videos and streamed nothing. It got so bad my provider agreed that there must be something wrong and credited me over $80 in overusage...that something wrong was this app. 10.4 gigs in under two months. Great site, terrible app. Use safari and their website. Beware!

Please fix. I used to love this app. Was the best for up to date MMA news. Then some of the videos stopped working. Now even though I deleted and reloaded it, it has not updated the news feed for over a week. Please fix! I will have to look elsewhere for MMA news

Poor. I've emailed them more than once to fix their app, being that it's very slow with load up and load out times. Worse than before this new version. Fix it please!

Works okay, but a memory hog. No idea why this app chews up so much data when only reading news (wasn't watching vids on my cell data plan). Had to relegate this app to wifi only. Now if don't go over my data limit anymore.

Won't launch. With the latest iOS 9.3.1 and the most recent version of MMA Junkie, the app doesn't want to start anymore. Prior to the no start things worked fine. Please fix this!

Nice nice nice. No more huge loading times and bad crashing issues. It took time but they really improved their application. This is the most relevant & entertaining news in the entire MMA community. The apps become a daily tool for me. Now before doing an update, test it gang ;) previous updates were terrible.

Half Stories. This app used to be the "go too" for all MMA news, event coverage, and decent opinion articles. I didn't mind the ads, they gotta eat, however, now, the articles only load half the print, then freezes, perhaps someone should let the companies who advertise on here know how crappy this app performs.

Ads and spyware. Loaded with ads and spyware. Content is good but just too much crap to sift through.

Keeps getting worse with updates. Content is still great, but you can't get to all of it anymore. The flood of ads used to easy enough to ignore, just scroll past, but now the ads cut off the articles half way through. This used to be one of my favourite apps, but it gets continually worse with each update

0 Stars. This app worked fine then for no reason started crashing upon opening. Completely unusable, don't waste your time. This app has always been an after thought that's been barely able to work for years.

Mma junk app!!. Website is my favourite. The App, not so much. Currently, it doesn’t even open. Just crashes as soon as you open it. And when it does work, it sone times won’t update for weeks. Surprised such a big website has such a crappy App.

Worst app ever. Loading time is brutal! Once you do get into an article, half the time it closes due to app error! Sorry to say this but Do Not Download it!

Brutal. This app is diaper trash. EVERY video begins with a mandatory 30 second ad. No skipping. Then, after sitting through these diaper trash ads, the videos RARELY WORK. Also, they will put the same video at the top of multiple different columns. You sit through the 30 second ad just to find out it’s the same video from two columns ago but with a different picture. This is the least user friendly ap I’ve downloaded.

Best mma news content. Aaaaaaaand New update works very fine. Now I need it on the ipad in order to give it 5 stars!

MMA Junkie rocks. Long time listener to this show and all I can say is that this is hands down the best mma show around. These guys not only bring it everyday but make my days go by while I'm driving my bus. Listen everyday and was also able to meet the guys in studio back in October. Keep it going guys!

Still not working. The app crashes as soon as you open it. It’s been like this for about 2 months now. Using iPhone. I’ve tried deleting and re-downloading the app, that doesn’t work.

Brick. Every time I launch the app The screen goes black and turns my phone into a brick.

Been frozen for almost a week now. Reinstalled,still doesn’t work

Great content, horrible performance. The app looks nice, but it's almost unusable. It's EVEN slower post-update. 20 second initialization and 15-20 seconds for each story to load after selecting. Going back to the headlines after finishing an article crashed it, twice. This is on a fast wifi connection. The best performance comes when I load the headlines then shut off all data to navigate through the stories. This makes me wonder what kind of info they are gathering, sharing or loading. I could look beyond the insane number of ads and forced videos prior to content if the thing ran smooth. MmaJunkie is the best site for mma related news, but it's almost better to visit the site directly than to use this app.

So frustrating...deleting app. Version after version, promise after promise; but nothing changes. Videos don't play...articles only half-load if they load at all. Content of the articles is excellent, but you have to get all the content on the website, because the app is still useless. I'm deleting it. Will watch the reviews and re-install when the developers can get it to perform above 1-star. Just installed "TheCage" instead to replace this app, and love it so far. No crashes, no load times, videos work... ("TheCage" also pulls content from MMA Junkie). If USA Today cares at all about their readers, they will find a new Dev. team. This app is not worth he space it takes up on my phone.

Stop changing the app!!!. When it works it works. Stop adding video content that doesn't even relate to the news clip. And yah why keep changing it. Used to be flawless mma news. It now has me looking for a new news outlet. Keeps crashing. I just deleted the app for the 2x time. Hope when I get the urge to download it again it works. I could prob say that all of the mma community uses mmajunkie app for one reason or another and often. But with so many glitches and issues, man your making it tough for use to keep it up.

Much improved. This version is way better than the last. Huge step forward. I had actually deleted the old app in favor of the mobile site (so I could watch videos), but now I'm back to using the app. Love their coverage too...best in class!

Website is Better. It's pretty sad when an app consistently fails to load entire pages and videos, but this is the case with the MMA Junkie app. Version after version has come out yet I still find myself going to the website more often than not because content won't load through the app. If I just end up going to the website, then what is the point of the app??? It typically takes a minute or two to load every time it is booted up as well. Truly a bitter disappointment!

Best update yet, EXCEPT for the auto-pop-up ads!. This new update works great, but all of a sudden these ads keep popping up and playing videos without us even clicking on them. I know you guys get ads to help pay for the app and I don't mind them except for the fact that they keep playing the videos all on their own as if you clicked on them to view them. Very annoying to the point id rather not see any news here. I'll check back in a week or so to see if it gets fixed.

Used to love it.. I used to love this app. It would load fast and it was the best thing out there. The only thing good about the big update is videos now work on it, but other than that everything loads slower it's so slow it makes the app aggravating. I also do not like how you can no longer listen to music while reading the articles. Change it back so you can listen to music in the background while having the MMA app open. Then it would be great again. Still the best thing out there but should hold itself to those standards.

The best looking awful app I've ever used. This app could be great. When you start it up and you're looking at the stories they are usually quite interesting. The problem is that you can't select them immediately until it stops loading. And when you go into a story you can't scroll down until it finishes loading. And when you go back to the list of refreshed stories guess what? There is more loading. This app could not be more frustrating.

Get it together. Every revamp, this app gets worse. In a previous version.. for good articles, I used to be able to click to the full site article that included comments. Removed. The app used to work fast. Removed. The app was simple & less graphical (but did not crash). Removed. Please fire the app team. They are terrible. I get my news from the iPhone 70% of the time now. This app prevents me from getting it. Just to read 5 min of mma news, why do I have to try the app, wait, close it, re-open, repeat, delete the app, reinstall, repeat. Someone at mmajunkie is working hard to make an awesome site. That guy should be SCREAMING at the incompetent iPhone app team to get their %{*it together.

Not too impressed. I had no problems with the previous version of this app. The new version freezes up and closes itself every day, and the videos don't load at all or load incredibly slowly. At least with the old version I could open and read an article, now I can't even depend on that. I have tried to open one article only to have one I didn't choose pop up. Not too impressive. And while I'm complaining, you're supposed to be professional journalists. Maybe you should pay a little more attention to sentence structure and grammar as well? Just a thought. Thanks guys.

No problems here. As the title say. I downloaded been playing around with it for like 30 minutes and not having any issues. Was worried from the reviews but decided to give it a shot, totalky worth it.

App crashes, videos don't work. Lately the app has been crashing constantly. When it does work the articles that say they have video the video doesn't work most of the time. The GIFs used don't show at all and just leave a blank white spot on the page(Ben Fowlkes uses one every Twitter mailbag and they always show up as a blank answer following a question) I will be using my web browser to view you website from now on or my much more reliable mmafighting app for my mma news

Better Than Most MMA Appa. This is a great app. Unlike some of the other apps, the videos play smoothly and full screen. Their only downfall is that you cannot skip time on the videos. IMO, Better writing than MMA Fighting and more interviews.

Slow and crashes often. Terrible. I actually used to visit the MMAJunkie app (before update) as many as 5 times a day. Now, I'm lucky if the app will load once a day! 80% of my attempts to load the app fail, and if it's successful it takes nearly 3 minutes to get past the loading screen. The app looks nicer than before, but that doesn't mean much if we rarely get to see the content! And, it's frustrating that loading the app disables music from being played. Please fix these bugs and do a new update ASAP! In the meantime, I've resorted to other MMA apps for my news.

Great Content, app could use improvement. I love this app! However throughout the various updates I've had an up and down experience with the app. Sometimes it's great sometimes it's extremely frustrating. At the moment it's giving me issues when watching videos. A 30 second ad takes about 3 minutes to time out. Please fix as I love the content! Thank you. iPhone 6 plus on 8.1

Great News, Horrible App. It seems that every update this app gets worse. MMA Junkie is a great news source, but this app gets worse and worse. It’s great it supports video now, but I can’t even swipe to the next story anymore, which means I have to endure the 30 second list update, then wait another 20-30 seconds for the story to load (Actually, it loads, then sits there unresponsive (can’t scroll) until the ad loads). I hope they improve it, but I don’t have a lot of hope.

Update!!!!!. OMG!!! Update your app it’s only been a year. Crashes constantly now.

Impressed. The MMAjunkie radio podcasts (with George and Goze) get me through the long days on the farm. And when I burn through all the podcasts, I frequently use the app to stay up to date on the latest news in the crazy world of Mixed Martial Arts. This new and improved app I sleek and easy to operate. I am thoroughly impressed Junkie nation. Keep up the good work. The best Source in MMA just keeps getting better.

Too many issues.... The old version of this app was great. This USA today version is slow, constantly displaying the loading wheel, doesn't always update to the latest stories and doesn't even do simple things like gray out text of stories you have already read. Often when loading a story (after waiting way too long) then the story doesn't scroll correctly and you have go back to the main screen and try it again. Update the bugs!

Garbage. All this app does is FREEZE and CRASH

Used to be good. Now it is super buggy and has been for a while...too many ads, no volume. Redundant feed...sad

Junkie App. I really like the new layout and the fact that videos actually work, but none of that matters because the app rarely opens. It crashes all the time (I usually have to reboot to fix it), and when it does work it is soooo slow. Even hitting back once I've read an article takes 10+ seconds. It's like the app isn't caching any data to speed it up. For a USA Today app, you can do much better. Roll back to old version until you fix this junk, at least it worked. IPhone 4s with latest OS.

As good as ever. Despite other reviews reporting the plague of the creeping app or poor usability, I downloaded the app today and it's run flawlessly and quickly with no issues. MMA Junkie must've tapped out whatever bugs existed and regained the belt. Good Job! Now if only the app could do the Buffer 180!

Delete and Reintall. I have had this app for years and then they changed it and USA today got involved the app was so SLOW when it infrequently worked I almost deleted it for good. I decided to read the reviews to see if others had the same issue and Brickits is 100% right. Delete and reinstall and believe it or not the app actually functions!!

Useless. This app is literally useless. It never uploads. The video hyperlinks do not work. It is absolute trash.

More broken than cruz's knees. I used to use mmajunkie as my go to free mma news source. Abandoned it for a while to go back to the UG, then decided to reinstall it. What a plummet they've taken. Patch a couple weeks ago and the all literally just doesn't work. Takes several attempts to load without just crashing, often loads only 3 articles without going to a specific organization, and crashes more often than not after selecting an article. It's unusable unless you just like headlines. Go for the UGLite app.

Update = fail. Before update to open a article would take awhile. Now with update I can't even open the app. Just crash after crash. Terrible. 1 quick easy fix to the wait times. Stop making us load every single article and picture. Group them up by event or pre events. Also don't need to load double pictures when reading a article. Most the time we can't even see the full picture. It's a waste of time. Keep it simple stupid. Thx

Bring back old app that's much Faster!. I never thought I'd say this but after a few years of checking every 20 minutes daily updates for the MMAjunkie app, I have officially deleted the new app after a few weeks of use. My reason is that it's beyond slow! I can go to my browser, type in the URL and look at the mma news faster, as opposed to clicking a one touch with the app. Also I have a iPhone 5S. Big thumbs down!

Poor Version. MMA Junkie was the go to app for MMA news....until this latest version. Barely touch an ad while scrolling though the headlines that are repeated over and over and videos start playing or you end up on an ad that you can't get away from. Put things in chronological order for crying out loud. It doesn't have a landscape mode for tablets either, which is annoying but not a huge deal compared to the general layout.

Bad app. This app is bad.

Unusable. This app used to be one of my top two MMA apps but since iOS8 has come out it has become incredibly slow launching and going in and out of stories. The loading wheel of death. Probably the most frustrating is trying to watch a video. The video starts up right away then a few seconds then it stops and goes to an advertisement. The advertisement plays fine but the timer for the ad goes so much slower. The ad may take 30 seconds but then there will be more than 30 seconds of a black screen while that timer slowly counts down. The app is pretty much unusable at this point. I hope they update and get things going because it has been one of my favorite MMA apps for a long time.

Kudos to the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie team. While the MMAjunkie app has always been a functional tool to help keep up with the latest news in mixed martial arts, this new version is a fantastic improvement. I think MMA fans are really going to enjoy the improvements that have been made here, including the long-needed ability to watch videos directly from the app, as well as the ability to listen to MMAjunkie Radio directly from the app, too. The entire presentation has been cleaned up and streamlined. Photo galleries are much more functional. Overall, the IT team did a fantastic job with this new app.

No Longer Works. It doesn’t even work anymore, I guess they don’t care?

Too many ads and ads that you can't close. This app has always been trash. There are way too many ads on this app and they pop up even if you do not click on them but that isn't the worst thing. The new update has ads that pop up on their own and can not be closed. There is actually no X or way to close them down so the only option is to exit out of the app and go back into it.

Update please!. Update the app already!!!!

App crashes. App keeps crashing

App never works. The app hardly ever works. When it does work, the feed doesn’t update. Awful app.
