Works Quite Well. I just scanned a difficult doc with 4 or 5 different font sizes and formats. It looked to be better than 95% accurate. You have to hold the phone upright.

Awesome app!. This is not mainly a translation app, so that guy can shut up with his one star review. This app works great!

A "Pro" app with full screen ads?. I cannot believe that this app was updated, being a paid for "Pro" version, to add a full screen start up ad, and another full screen ad when you press the settings icon. I'm now looking for another app to replace this bait-and-switch BS.

Poor. Not much of use for small font text, or long lines of text...

Nope. just plain old doesn't work

Deleted. I tried it in both, English and Spanish. The extraction is better in English, but it still awful. Also it seems to have problems distinguishing commas and dots (points, periods, whatever you call it)

Needs Improvement. It won't recognize small text like a pic taken from screen shot of a web page.

Lies, do not use it. A paid version with full screen advertisement any time i click on it. They cheat us. Do not trust them

Good Start. Only needs Translation support for languages other than English and it will be 5 stars.

This translates to>^]+}'*]+{*]+}*\~€¥]*. I mean seriously? It doesn't even work on digital words. It just types a bunch of symbols. *]*{^^[<|<>_%{<\<%\>

Go elsewhere for a text scanner.. This app cannot read a simple high resolution screencap of black and white text with good contrast. Also, even though it's a paid app, it has aggressively persistent full-screen popup ads.

Horrible. Oh it tries..but 3 times I have tried to have it transform a small paragraph. It gets a bunch of poorly and misspelled words. The app has great potential, but there are still some bugs to squash. =(

It actually worked!. I used English text. Most of the negative reviews seem to have problems with other languages. If you can live with that, this is worth a try.

Does not work. Tried this app and was not able to scan and OCR any of the pages. Very few of the words were readable. Good concept but bad implementation.

This app does not work as advertised.. The OCR algorithm must have been written by ________.

Speak English. I tried 2 separate articles from photos containing print. Neither one was able to be recognized by this app as English words and translate them to editable text. The letter combinations made for great humor but isn't something this app is supposed to do.

5 Stars!. It had a great interface to scan my doc. I like it!

To the guy complaining about Arabic language support. You, sir, are clearly an idiot. If you read the instructions, you'd know to face the sun, turn the phone upside down, and then proceed.

Good concept, but bad implemtation. App starts up and I am able take picture or import it from the library. The OCR however, does not work well. It will probably take less time to type the text then to edit the ocred text.

Doesn't work well. Ok it has failed to work right for me. I tested it and used a little screen shot of nothing but text and it failed so hard by giving me a bunch of chicken scratch and random letters . I love the concept but it needs work.

Supports English. So the majority of us will benefit greatly from this intuitive app. For English speakers it's a 5 star app.

Doesn't work!!. I took a pic of a business card, a letter, and a pic with Happy Birthday in it and it botched them all IN ENGLISH!! Boooooo!

A complete crap. This app is a crap, avoid it.

Close-ish. So far, the app does not do a very good job. It does a somewhat decent job, but can't do the whole text I scan. If it improves the app will get 4-5 stars. Now, it's just not there yet. Very inaccurate. Oh, and it doesn't do Arabic...I read that somewhere!

Does what it says. The app must've been improved since the earlier reviews. I tested it a few times and it appears to work and recognize just fine, English that is.

Great IDEA, but..... So sorry, guys. It is a great idea, but it clearly needs work. I tried it on an English language piece and it came out really bad. But, don't be discouraged. Keep trying. It could be a winner. Thanks for the effort.

Useless. Can't read text at all. Gets a couple words then I get sentences of random symbols. Waste if iPhone space

Does not work. The app does scanning text in photo, but fails to detect correct characters and words even tested with screenshots containing Arial text font.

Mr. A myopic dyslectic can read better.

Pretty poor. Unfortunately it doesn't pick up much and gives you random text instead.

Awful.. Gave it nice plain black text on white background and it could not identify one word correctly. I don't know how other reviewers had success when it was so far off for me.
