Addicting. Downloaded this app because the Yahtzee app started crashing on my iPad. Yatzy hasn't given me any trouble and is great for the solo game player, too.

Just Like the Classic Game You Love!. Simple and fun with no risk of losing the dice! The graphics are nice, and the game is as straightforward as the original boxed game. No timers or clutter, just a relaxing and fun way to pass the time.

No nonsense but bad RNG. Best of the bunch for no online requirement, no pay to win and no endless tutorial like all the others seem to have but man is that RNG frustrating. Too many times I'm holding 3 die and the other two come up as the same numbers for multiple rolls. It's also a very ugly game to look at. Still arguably the best one for being so straight forward.

Complaint. Can’t get rid of Welcome screen.....have to go thru learning for the 100th + time to get to play, so don’t play....

Too annoying ads.. Till today your two Yatzy- games were my favorite. I had no interference from ads at the bottom of my screen. It was easy to see clearly and I loved it but just a few minutes ago it shut down while I was playing and when It came back there were bright white ads streaming across the bottom of my screen. Could no longer concentrate and did terrible on the game. Very upset because I love this game but I can’t play that on the bottom of the screen it’s too annoying and hard on the eyes I would gladly pay for both of these to get rid of it permanently

Really fun!. I was a little skeptical at first, but this app really got me hooked. I truly loved it. It’s addicting, and fun. I would definitely recommend it if you know how to play.

Very good game. For Yatzy, I recommend this version from Boy Howdy. I would like it even better if it had the capability of storing my average score, my best score (and date of that), and my worst score. All without having to log in to any “Game Center” or whatever.

Fun, but not realistic. I’m a fan of Yahtzee, that is, with real dice. However it’s not always practical to play when out and about. So I’ve been looking for a simulation. This one has been fun, but I’m not impressed by it’s random generator. If I’m holding on 4 dice on my third roll, I’ve noticed the 5th dice will turn to show the exact same number it did on the second roll far more often than I encounter in real life. Because of this, I’ve learned to basically “give up” if I don’t have a scoring combination after 2 rolls. I guess it’s a more challenging version of Yahtzee in that sense. Still, I’d like it better if it mimicked the real thing better

Fun and quick. This game can be played in short time periods. It is fun to keep track of your high scores.

too many ads. i’d pay just to get rid of the ads down below & between games. otherwise great game. we like it because we have poor eyesight & can see this game much better then the others. it’s just the bombardment of ads advertising his other games i don’t like the only other annoying thing is after you play a game, and are DONE playing, it makes you play again even when you want to quit playing. i don’t like that because when you quit then run the app again later it saves your game from before. i hate that.

Stress reliever. Great for down time. Takes your mind off the world for a few minutes. Also challenges your brain.

Yatzy. Really enjoying the game and how easy it is to see your progress along with running scores in both sections

No-frills fun. This is actually the second Yahtzee app I’ve downloaded - I had to delete the first because all the bells and whistles were irritating me. This, on the other hand, was exactly what I wanted. I’ve spent hours playing it. A+, would procrastinate from doing my job with again.

Yahtzee. This game is pretty engaging. It seems to be set to ‘medium’. Meaning that it’s not too hard to get bonus, Yahtzee’s, and other good rolls. The only 2 downsides: Constantly cuing to install other games, and the ads are close enough on the bottom to sometimes mistakenly click one whilst trying to play. All in all, a good free game.

I love Boy Howdy games. I love that these games do nit pressure u into anything. They deliver what they promised and continue delivering. I keep downloading their games. And this was my first one and i love it.

Randomized roll please?. If the outcome of the roll were more random I would enjoy this game so much more. Playing for a day and only filling a large straight or a Yahtzee a few times is frustrating. It is mathematically more impossible than rolling the exact same dice three times in a row! Saving one die and getting the exact same result in the same order on the subsequent two rolls? There is no way this is possible!

Yahtzee. Loves this game ! It’s easy to use & very quick response time . Love the confetti stars when you get a Yahtzee. Only rec would be make the confetti star display happen 2x! Get reinforcer!

Yahtzee. I like playing against no one else. Tried the multiple people and sat and waited for a long time as most players played multiple. So I like this much better. I enjoy playing regular and super Yahtzee. The games work well, and are a lot of fun.

Relaxing game. I have used Yahtzee for +years. I find this App to be a favorite. No timer, no interruptions for ads. I play this for hours at the end of my day to relax. Very easy to use. Has an encouraging end of game and displays a reward screen when you top your highest score so far. Fast moving and I am enjoying every day. Would recommend.

Agree with Gojia Guy. The random generator, as previous reviewer G.G. pointed out, has a problem. The un-held dice on a third throw will turn up the same way too often. I hope the makers can solve this as Boy Howdy is the simplest Yahtzee/Yatzy to use - without all those annoying alternative games and gimmicks. AND a second complaint here: how hard could it be to incorporate individual stats that cover the long haul? Comparing one’s single highest score today or this week or ever is pretty meaningless, since everyone knows that scores above 400 are a function of pure luck (multiple Yahtzees), and that those who hold the very highest scores probably have little other life! So ... keep my individual stats, so that I can challenge myself to beat MY highest score or improve on my AVERAGE SCORE over time.

Not the greatest. I would like to play the game against the computer or another player. I had a Yatzy game that played against the Wizard and you could earn things to make the game harder for your opponent; or you could earn things to protect yourself from things your opponent threw at you. You could earn a guaranteed Yatzy roll, etc. This game is boring.

Good game. Play anywhere without internet is what I love about this game. So, simple it’s just amazing someone would make a game that’s so practical and easy to play. Just like real board game.

Yatzee. I love this app, endless fun without the noise of the dice or notepads to total your score. I'm dating myself, this app is a great way to pass the time whether for fun or if you are just bored of where you are at.

How ‘bout a running average?. I agree that this game is true Yahtzee (without all the silly gimmicks in similar App Store offerings.) But a running average would make more sense than the “highest score” BS. Since this game is most often played solitaire, I think a Player’s Average score should be offered. Simply the total of scores over a given (or selected) number of games divided by the number of games played. If I knew my average score at the end of, say 100 games played, The game could talky a record of that avg score, and I could try to beat it over the next 100 games played. A running all-time average would be a nice “easter egg.” It might be nice for users with devices upon which multiple family members play to have players identify themselves with a sign in, so separate running averages could be kept for each user. —bb

Great game. Finally I’ve found a game I can play without pop up ads and other nonsense. Never a problem and always fun.

Nice and Simple, but.... It looks like a nice, no frills app, and to be fair there’s no pay to play gouging, and it just lets you play. Unfortunately it has two fatal flaws: 1) The random number generation is ridiculous. Not even close to being the averages of what you would expect from physical dice. Given how simple it is to generate a random dice roll in programming, I can only assume it’s by design and intentionally skewed for some reason. (Not even just the re-rolled dice coming up the same a ridiculous amount as others have mentioned, just bad across the board). 2) More than half the time (guesstimating) you don’t get two extra rolls, you only get one. If they offered power-ups you could buy, or other IAP, I would say that they intentionally try to damage your score for financial reasons. But being they don’t have IAP or any other financial incentives, I can only guess it is just bad programming.

Love it. This is a great version. And I love that there are no ads. I just can’t figure out how, if it’s a game of chance run by a computer, people are getting over 700 as a score. I can’t break 350. Either way, you will be happy with this game.

Two rolls?. I love this game, but when I started playing it, sometime ago, I was given three rolls, which is the standard for any version of Yatzy you play. Now it will only give me two rolls. It’s virtually impossible to get three sixes and certainly not more, with two rolls. it has made it frustrating to play so I don’t. Please fix this bug.

Not-so-random generator. Nearly every time you need a number group on the last roll, it will give you nothing. It knows what you need and blocks it. Once I needed 5s and 6s the last two rolls; over the ensuing six rolls, I received not a single 5 or 6. Not realistic. Also too often after you scratch a square, the very next roll you get what was needed. Too too many repeats on unheld dice; again, very unrealistic.

Disappointed. I just found this a couple of weeks ago and have had to delete the app and reload it twice. After about 15-20 games it would lock up ... can’t roll the dice, totaled answers are blank, can’t choose a slot to play. Otherwise it’s been a very fun game to play ... easy to roll, choose options to play, etc and would love to have it on my phone .. but too frustrating when it locks up.

I enjoy it but…. The number of times I roll a Yatzy on the turn after I put I zero in Yatzy is amazing. It doesn’t happen every time, but so often it is not possible for it to be random…. Just saying… really?

Simple, quick, and free. Very smooth and quick gameplay. Ads don’t interrupt the game at all. Nice app. Would like a local multiplayer option. Boy Howdy Yatzy!

Freezes too much!. This game always freezes when I have a good game going. This needs to be fixed! The odds are alway against me! I've played many time and still haven't had a good game. Second time that I've played, then deleted. Probably has the same fate this time, too!

For when you just wanna play yahtzee. Minimal and non-intrusive ads, no crazy new rules, no silly prizes, no cheesy gimmicks or trying to sell you stuff... and no glitches so far! Basically, there’s no BS. It’s the perfect adaptation of the classic dice game we know and love <3

Get this game!. FINALLY, a game that actually is what it is! It’s Yatze without 500 ads per session, things that blow up, or you have to buy your way into something that is actually a part of the game, etc. I can play a round in about 3 minutes, which is perfect for those times where you can’t get too involved in a long game! :-) Yeah — GET THIS GAME!

Yatzy. Lots of fun, game is fast…play with my friend! She keeps a running tab on how many games we play. Highest out of 5 wins - is she ever the competition.

Best Yatzy app. Very nice developers with low key ads. Not forcing you to watch a commercial after each round. Game is excellent. Very happy with my choice, and highly recommend!

Plays like the real game. Finally, a Yahtzee game that’s exactly like the old physical game! No stupid pay to play tactics. No dumb gimmicks. And the dice rolls are the same randomness as real dice in all the games I’ve played so far. Thanks for a great game. Just one request: I like that there are no crazy IAPs, but would you consider adding the option to pay 1.99 to remove ads? Why not give us the option? That’s the only reason I docked a star. Even though the small banner ads are not at all intrusive, I’d rather pay one time to remove them. Maybe in a future update?

Unobtrusive. I feel like Boy Howdy are the good guys/gals of mobile. The ads are minimal, which is great. I like to play while listening to podcasts. Other games have ads that pause my audio, which means I constantly have to switch apps to unpause. All Boy Howdy games I’ve played do a good job of getting out of your way, and I appreciate that. Plus they make good games!

easy to read playboard. I never played Yahtzee as a kid, but this app. made it fety understandable..and fun,,, i would recommend it to anyone, everyone!

SMOKIE3914. I Loved Playing this game! However, just a couple of nights ago, the program just crashes on me & does this about 2-3 times a game. But when I bring the game back up, the is score/board is where I left off. So, that is good news. But, I will stop playing the game, until the program crashes are resolved. No more “new game”. Recently several scores are filled in every time a new game starts. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Each time a new game starts, there are random values already filled in. No more new games

Really good. This is easy to use, no "bells n whistles" that slow down the game, like I am experiencing with some games, there is just a nice touch when you achieve Yahtzee. Only problem I have is stopping myself from playing to do the work I should be doing.

Boy Howdy Yatzy. I have used this app for 5 months now and LOVE it. The game has very good graphics and is stable. Because it shows you your options for scoring continuously it is very easy to learn and use. It is by far the best Yatzy app I have found. Watch out....it's addictive.

Boring and predictable. You can tell after playing several rounds but the algorithm is extremely predictable and repetitive. It gets to the point that you can tell which dice to hold. It’s fine to play in the beginning, but after a short while, it’s a waste of time.

Predictable. Rolls of the dice are predictable. The combo you need always comes up after you’ve burned that chance. Very difficult to score high. Rather boring as well.

Could be. Once was a free app called Five Dice that gave so much more easily discernible information after each roll. This version is just awkward but still fun.

Used To Be Good and Fun. Deleted from my apps and went with another Yahtzee game. The statistical odds are no longer consistent. Must have played 2000 games. Used to get the occasional game over 400. Now very difficult to break 250. Bye Boy Howdy

Chico Kid. Yahtzee is a game that my dad thought me years ago. I was thrilled to see the Yahtzee app. It is my favorite game to play. Remembering the fun times together with my dad.

Gave plenty of Yahtzees at first. It’s not as fun anymore...reminds me of that old handheld game. I’ve maybe gotten three Yahtzee's when I first downloaded now I’m lucky to get one so it won’t be long before I erase it

Bad programming. Not even remotely random dice rolling. Years of dice rolling and never seen more repeat rolls or uncanny 4 of a kind rolls immediately following zeroing out the 4 of a kind box for example. Seems awfully lot like result programming. Kinda takes the fun out of it after a hundred games or so. Guess that’s a hundred fun games?

Best in store solo play. No adds totally free. Nice graphics. Keeps your high score.

Fix plz. This app was fun for a few days, then it crashed for a week. The 'done rolling' button needs to be updated because it freezes the whole app when you press it. There are other Yatzy games out there that I could download but I gave you guys a chance so please fix this. Thank you.

Score not put on leaderboard. Just got a decent score of 548, but I got a message saying that I wasn’t signed in to Game Center so it couldn’t post my score. Problem is is that I was signed in to Game Center. There are other obvious issues with this game, so that’s it for me.

The game could be better. Example It doesn’t tell me what my past scores are Also doesn’t have different game challenge options Example play game going for all right side first Then second side Etc, etc
