News alert, really?. Way too many notifications that are not alerts. We need to know the significant alerts, not insignificant notifications as it has been since I downloaded the app. How about relaying only the impactful weather? Another issue I have is this is ONLY WEATHER “ALERTS” not news alerts. So it should be called “weather alerts”.

Air quality? Why is this not covered?. WWhy is

It’s ok. It’s a great app but I cannot make it big enough to see it and it always shuts down when I try to download the news for the weather and I don’t know if I’m getting a toilet weather

I’m sure your app got hacked. Please fix. The gps shouldn’t share outside its sandbox. Similar to the UPS app. Yikes ...lmk when fix!

Nothing Fancy Covers the Basics Well. Not sure about some of the negative stars I see the videos they work fine. My comparison is with the Tegna app which is associated with King5 news and King5 weather. This is exactly what I need nothing special. Gives me the radar when I want it. If I want to look at the video of the forecast from the weathercaster I can.

Nearly Awesome. I love this app and that it works with my weather at home or anywhere in the country. However there is no legend to tell me what the colors on the radar mean. With that it would be perfect for my needs.

Not bad. However.... There needs to be a for-pay service offered because the adverts are appallingly bad. The banner makes what would be a nice experience ugly and if takes too much screen space. I'll gladly pay a monthly fee to avoid adverts. Asking to "follow us even when the device is off" is not necessary for the functionality of this app. Makes me wonder what kind of tracking is going on under the hood. Rating: 4-stars minus 2 for the obtrusive adverts.

Ads!!!!. This used to be my favorite favorite Seattle weather app but the ads have me going to king5.

It’s a Nice Idea.... But the videos never work. I get these pinpoint notifications several time a day. When I click on them, a pop up box comes up with, “Video Error”, “Cannot play the requested video.” I used to think it was something I did wrong, like I waited too long to click on the notification. However, it happens even if I click on it a couple seconds after the notification pops up.

Why I find this page upsetting!. I can look at the temperature on another app on my iPhone. I can never find a way to listen to the people talking on this app!

Weather App. This is the best weather app of all the 3 major stations in our area. This is my go to site always. Thank you. Kirkland Steve

Very informative. It’s got everything one would want in weather app at the touch of a finger. Very interactive and always up to date. Not always perfect on forecast, but that the Pacific Northwest.

News coverage. Very slanted news coverage

KIRO7 Weather App. This app crashed and completely locked up my iPad. I had to turn off my WiFi and then turn it back on and reboot. I deleted this app and will never download a KIRO7 app of any kind again.

Honor Privilege. Love this app because the radar gives the EXACT location of the weather specific location from the Doppler Radar. I use it everyday for specific location planning.

almost. This is almost a good ap, but it would be a lot better if you could actually read the daily forcast. You get to read a few words of it, but the words run out of room and there is no way to display the entire message.

No radar images loading.. Pretty useless. I see the map. And I have great WIFI (all my other apps work) but this app loads nothing more than a pin to show my location. No info or radar about WEATHER at all. Waste of my time.

Weather. I would like to see more south western Washington weather

Location services is all or nothing?. The option to allow the app access to my location only when the app is running isn't there for me. I don't think they're intentionally tracking me. Not worth a hit on my battery.

Can't get the app to work. So last week I updated the iPad with the ios8 and that was it, as soon as the app tries to open it crashes and shuts down. Now I like the app a lot but something needs to be done about this bug so I can get back on it otherwise I can't use it even if I wanted to. Home someone is on top of this

Radar. Why does it not always work?

Love pinpoint weather. KIRO weather forecasts are the best because they don’t generalize and say “Seattle will have wind and rain” (for example). They always get specific about when the weather will hit and in what neighborhoods and they’re very accurate! Morgan and Nick are the best!!

Worst app. This has to be one of the most unreliable weather apps out there. It is rarely accurate.

Does the job. It's ok... It does the job, but needs some improvements. I found the app itself kind of laggy but I was still able to still to view the forecast.

Weather app. I liked old app better. We’ll see what others think.

Inconsistent forecast. I keep getting alerts for heavy precipitation only to have a few sprinkles. Do better. Uninstalling.

Are you KIDDING?. This is a joke. Requiring payment for storm warning notification? Save your time, ignore this app. DELETING. Expected more from KIRO...Harry Wappler is surely spinning in his grave.

Horrible. The app has so many moving parts like videos and ads running it is difficult to find meaningful content. It also jams up my iPhone even though I have plenty of data available.

Works Great. The interface is user-friendly and well-desIgned. Like the radar feature ALOT. I like that I am able to program several locations and check the weather between cities- especially animated radar. It works very well on my Ipad.

Hate the new version. I am vision challenged and now I can't make out anything without magnification. The old version was easy to see the week at a glance. Very bummed. Komo has the same platform with slightly better contrast. Still not as good as old Kiro, but good enough for me to switch.

Needs an air quality alert. The app has dozens of alerts, from high wind warnings to heavy rain. But it is missing an air quality alert. For example, the Seattle area is under an air quality alert because of forest fires in the surrounding area. Folks with asthma need to know this information, but the app does not alert them to this important alert.

Too many alerts, not enough user settings. I wanted to like this app, I really did. But that changed when I was awoken in the middle of the night to no less than 3 alerts about the exact same wind watch, which was still 24 hours away. And the alerts are a man’s voice talking to you. It appears you cannot change that in any settings. While you can reduce the types of alerts you receive, it would be wonderful to be able to adjust the volume, etc. if I’m going to get them that often. Deleted this app and hoping to get more sleep tonight.

Title. All the weather apps have inconsistent future weather patterns, problem with this app is they provide an hourly estimate they make no effort to update, this app currently reads 79 degrees at 12:12am, however the hourly reader says it should be 65 at 12am (12 minutes ago), and it will be 67 at 1am (best guess it's not gonna drop 12 degrees in 45 minutes). In other words this app is pretty much only useful for current temp, which you can find on many other apps or just putting a thermometer outside your window. Also I've been looking at the 5 day range for several weeks and they have been missing the mark pretty much everyday on the high and low. I know weather is difficult to predict but if they updated on a regular basis it would make this app better than the rest, but it doesn't so it's below average.

Hourly forecast needs more dedicated screen area.. Menus take up too much space. I want to see the hourly and it gets squeezed down to a sliver

Great program. Accurate and well laid out.

Lake of weather coverage. Although we live in the viewing area, KIRO 7 rarely covers our weather except on the radar. Then half the time the screen is zoomed in so our area is not in the frame. We live in E Lewis Co. and would love to know what our weather is going to do also. It seems if you don’t live in the metro area, you don’t count.

Forecast errors. The app will show a different forecast on the app compared to the KIRO TV forecast on the videos recorded the same day. Plus the video forecasts should be updated daily, or more often if it changes on each regular broadcast.

Inaccurate temps. Since brand new redesign, my app appears to show Celsius maybe?? Because on what was a very warm 85* yesterday, the app showed 18*! And you say Celsius is not available on the app, so not getting an accurate temp makes this completely useless. Bummer, this was the most accurate in my opinion.

User friendly. Nicely organized. User friendly. The right amount of detail but not so much as to obscure the forecast . Best out of the other 5 I have tried so far.

Love the audio alerts. I drive all over that I five Corridor and love the fact that I get a weather alert for the area I’m in

Too many commercials.. The coverage is good when you finally get to it.

Too many ads. Just used it to find today’s forecast. After the fourth ad in a row, I finally got a forecast…for 2 days ago! Yes, there’s a radar, but it’s quick and then more ads.

Not Impressed. The font is so small I can’t read it on my phone. Liked the hourly view on old version. Also checked the earthquake option often. Miss that. Think I’ll delete the app.

Star minus one. This upgrade is terrible. For a visual it’s a nightmare. More commercials than actual content. I too truly enjoyed the previous format and always relied on it. I am deleting this app and hoping to find a new and better one. You blew it. I give it a minus star rating.

Sound with push notification. They send push notifications with sound. Really awful sound. Deleted.

Great app not working with iOS 8. The title says it all.

National News. Why is sports 99% of national news this day 03/22/2024 ? For this I think KIRO 7 news should become a sports channel with all news anchors from around the country!

Fatal Flaw. It's a great weather app, in fact, one of the best I've seen. But it has one huge, fatal and disqualifying flaw: Regardless of the community selected, the high and low temps for the day are always for Seattle. Any location you view will only show Seattle's high and low temps. When I noticed this a while back, I brought it to the attention of one of their meteorologists via Twitter. He said he would pass it along to the app developer. Although they just updated the app, it is still showing only Seattle temps. For this reason, the app isn't very useful outside of Seattle. UPDATE 5/11/2019: The new version features pleasant, pastel colors and three stark white ad banners kn the opening screen. Three. This is an advertising platform now, not a weather ap. Don’t need that. Removed.
