Respect for Jason, Horrible App. Doesn’t take the time to fix simple issues like freezing on the lock screen. Can’t listen to music while the timer is on I want every penny back

Sound doesn't work. While this is a great idea, and I support what this app developer is trying to do, the app needs work. I can't get the sound to work properly, which should be something intuitive. I will be unfortunately requesting a refund. I hope future versions are better tested.

Don’t waste your money. Absolute trash of an app - screen doesn’t stay illuminated, music doesn’t play, combos are boring, warning bell doesn’t work, no guidance on break v round, and the instructor is low energy

Great tool, but needs a bit of work. This is a great no-frills tool for anyone looking to improve their striking... it calls combos that make sense and allows you to adjust the pace & duration so you can warm up and work on flow, stretch it out and work your cardio, or destroy yourself with blistering flurries. I've been using it for a couple weeks and I feel like my shadow boxing & bag work have jumped up a level, this app has added way more quality to my solo workouts... having said that, it's still early in the development stages and feels a bit rough around the edges, but we'll worth 5 bucks.

The best boxing app. I use this app all the time. Jason has the best apps and videos for sale. I own all of them. This app helps me train when I can’t make it to the gym.

Disappointed. This app used to work well in the background while having the Hykso app (with the boxing sensors) in the foreground counting the punches/speed/intensity. It was also working even with the screen off (just like any other audio app). Now none of these things function anymore and this is very annoying. The idea itself is brilliant and the app would be really useful if these issues were solved. How can I use this when I’m in a gym, hitting the Heavy Bag and having to look at the screen of my phone to prevent it from going off during the resting periods? Once it goes off the rest timer stops and the next round doesn’t start. Why not just force the screen to stay always on or make the app work with the screen off? Is anyone testing the app before release? Currently it’s almost useless.

Great app and needs more. This app is the best app I have on my phone to say the least especially when you’re on the go and don’t have time to go to a boxing / kickboxing gym. Even when I am home with all of my gear this app helps me get the sweat I am looking for, concentrate on technique and get fit too. While on the round with weighted gloves and ankle weights or resistance bands, this app is still amazing. Now! To get to what needs to be added! 1. More techniques! Literally! Adding small things such as back fist versus spinning back fist is helpful or even adding Block Rear Roundhouse because those kicks get thrown too! Not just the lead round house. Lead or Rear Vertical knee, side knee strikes as diagonal knee (which depending on your stance is either). Back kick versus spinning back kick, cause some times you’ve just gotta be quick about it. Adding in side kicks as well because it’s no where on the list or even hook kicks from both left and right (lead and rear). 2. Work while the Lock Screen is on or black! I get nice and warmed up then boom! Black screen and nothing getting called out until I take a glove off to open the app, only to have a second to get my glove back on then miss two combinations minimum. 3. Let music play while using the app please? Too often I want my music playing and as soon as the workout starts, I hear just the bag, me breathing per strike, and the call outs but not my music. Sometimes that metal with call outs just makes those hits faster, harder, and gets me stronger. Other than that? That’s it! Hope to see a new update that gives more techniques and the option to go more than just 10 rounds!

Why did the next round audio stop?!. I took a week off from my boxing gym due to the workload at the office, so i was stoked when Friday came around because it was time to put in some gym work. First round came and went, good warm up.. Round 2 started, NO AUDIO! It looks like the next round freezes even though the timer is counting down. I wanted to give this app 5 stars because it was more functional than the Bower Boxing App and allowed my bluetooth earbuds to work but now, whats the point if it interrupts my flow?! PLEASE FIX ASAP, DONT LET US DOWN!

Just what I was looking for. Calls out combos. Only thing I’d like to see would be to have my own music underneath instead of just silence.

It's good. I train with three different boxing coaches every week. When one has to cancel I throw this on, almost as good, which is saying a lot. The combos are good ones. On the hard levels it's hard, really challenging. Lots of defense moves thrown in every combo.gives you time to get your gloves on before it starts. I'm still getting used to numbers rather then words, but I need to learn...

Old version was superior. After working out with the update several months it's evident the old version is superior. The interface was better and the ability to play music in the background is critical. Current version is definitely a downgrade. Bring the previous version back! The algorithms for the combos are still amazing. Overall still a useful app.

Good but could use some improvement. Love using this app for my solo boxing workouts but I do have some recommendations on how it could be much better, at least for my purposes - allow for playing of music from other apps in background - allow to operate while screen is locked - allow for more punches in the customizer, especially punches to the body - more than 10 rounds please!! No sound. There is no sound on iPad. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Decent but needs some big improvements. Some already mentioned by other reviewers but they could stand to allow you to play music using Spotify or Apple Music while using the app. The combo creator is cool but it doesn’t let you add specific punches like jabs to the body or cross to the body. They’re also lacking a roll to the left and right. They could make it easier to add the same punches in a combination. When minimizing the app it seems to pause it.

Great App for Home Training Especially for the Price.. This is a great app and I have used it for a couple of years now on my Android device. When I migrated to IOS I paid again for the premium version because it has done me quite a bit of good. The major issue that keeps this from being 5 stars here on IOS like it is on other platforms is that when the calls start, it closes or stops any background music apps that you have playing audio. This means if I want to use this on my iPhone, I have to have another device connected to play music as well. Still a great app, but needs a bit more work on apple platforms.

Disappointed!!!. There is no sound, no videos and the southpaw mode is the same as the Orthodox Mode!

Needs an update. Great premise, but on the iPhone 8, the app stops running when the screen closes, the calls are sometimes truncated, and the bells often don't go off. Please give it some much-needed attention.

Everything you could ask for. If you have a basic knowledge of how to throw the different punches that are called out in the combinations featured in this app, you're good to go...they have so many different settings available to make it harder or easier that it's perfect for everyone from beginners to pros...works great for me for use on the heavy bag when I'm at home...if I'm on the road for work, I don't have to look for a gym...just throw on some weighted gloves for a little resistance and put in 12 rounds of shadow boxing in the hotel room...being left handed, it's always been hard for me to find a web/app based boxing workout that caters to my southpaw style without me having to turn the numbers around in my head...the reason for that is it's assumed that everyone is right handed...that's where this app really shines...it has a whole setting for people who stand left handed (otherwise known as "southpaw" or "unorthodox") if you love working out and/or boxing and don't have a second person to spar with or hold pads for you, this app has everything you need and then some...I've been using it for over 2 years on the daily and still look forward to it after work everyday...bravo to whoever developed this!

Great, but.... WHY CAN'T WE PLAY OUR MUSIC WITH THE APP ANYMORE? Please visit this, it doesn't appear that in the only one that noticed. Update: 3Aug17. Claims that music can be played while in app don't seem to be correct. Still can't play music while in app

Screen lock issue. This app would work great if everytime your screen locked it didn’t stop working. Even if you set your screen to lock for 5 mins, you’ll be half way through a round and the AI coach will stop calling out, very hard to maintain focus and momentum. If there was a fix for that then I would rate the app highly.

Error in southpaw mode. Great app, but there is are some errors in southpaw mode. First, the chart in southpaw mode is actually the chart for orthodox. Also, the 3 in southpaw mode says its a left hook while it should actually be a right hook. This caused a bit of confusion for me in the beginning, but once I memorized what all the punches should be I was fine. Overall this is a great app thats extremely useful..especially for people who don't have access to a boxing coach to work on combinations with.

Went downhill. I use to love this app. It's really gone downhill though. Calls out the same combinations no longer calls out half the combos it use to have. Timer freezes when my screen locks forcing me to stop my workout and restart the app. It trips itself up when calling combos. Seems like the creators have gotten lazy.

Same issues. App used to be good years ago. Then an update removed the ability to listen to music in the background. That was eventually fixed. Now we are back to square 1 where music is again disabled. Unfortunately you cannot revert back in itunes to old app versions anymore. Please fix this bug, again.

App does not keep screen on-useless. Screen turns off and the app is useless. Similar apps keep the screen awake.

Love the app, could be better. This is a great boxing trainer app. Worth the investment if you like training on your own and would like guided combos round by round. Some improvements I recommend are allowing Apple Music (or any other music app) to play while using the app. I also think it would be great if the app would still work while my phone screen is locked. Keep up the good work!

Used to be awesome (update). I used to use this app everyday. It now crashes every time and is useless. I am fairly certain this started after updating to 14.8 iOS. The latest update fixed it. The only thing that could make this better is to be able to play music and/or be able to run the app in the background.

No body shots on custom combos. I’d like to rate this higher but I can’t seem to add body shots like 1-body, 2-body, etc to the custom combos.

This is good because.... This is good because not only you gain strenght while doin this but you also learn new combos and learn how to fight, it's really good and this app is worth my 5 dollars😁👍

Great app/pacing/combinations. Worth the money by far This is what boxing is about hammering out fundamentals and doing the little things in a great way. Great app with actual useful combinations great variety But is there reason there isn't a hook to the body? A 3B

Not much content for the money. I'm assuming a lot more is going to be added to this app because as it stands I have apps that cost a lot less/free that have more in them. And would you please add a bell to indicate the end of a round. Seeing as no additional content has been added and the end of round buzzer and bell seem totally random I’m changing my review to 1 star. Mate seriously this is robbery. Deleted the app worst value ever

Major functional issue. This app does not allow music to be played in the background. Very disappointing. Rectification would see this become a five star app.

Awesome idea. Its perfect for home drills and pad work option is great too! It does cut out somewhere through the rounds and just goes blank, timer is still going but audio and visuals just stop.... please fix

Gabo. I got the app a few years ago , never use it because I stop training , today I open it and started looking around and I got into the mitts section and I love it I open my iPad and started using it , I love it , like always you deliver a Great quality product

Disappointed. I was disappointed with this app, music wouldn’t play in the background, no bell to signal end of round, once the phone was in rest mode and a round finished, it wouldn’t switch to next round after rest period, and lastly the rest timer, even know I put it for 30 seconds, would last a minute. But even after that it would start the next round. Not worth the price at all!

Excellent training tool. It's like having a trainer with you when you're not at the gym. Use it supplementary to your regular boxing routine. Have it on while shadowboxing at home or while doing roadwork. Interested in an update that incorporates footwork in the workouts, and perhaps a routine(s) related to slip line training? Otherwise, 10/10.

Good app, if dev continues will be great!. This is one of the best apps of the kind. The combos are very natural and intuitive, the developer seems to be making updates that are fixing the issues with sound and bells. The one request is please make it so I can play music in the background. Also it would be great to have written explanations of the different styles and intensities. Keep up the good work and thanks for adding the bell!

Great app, but won’t run in background or on screen lock. This would totally be a 5 star app if it had those functions.

Counter Punching mode needs fixing!. The counter punching mode callouts are inaccurate or perhaps in southpaw? It labels a 6 as a left uppercut and a 4 as a left hook. Slightly confusing. This occurs in modes including but not limited to the P4P, Titleist and Pro difficulty.

Needs to run in background. Great app, just wish it would run when phone is locked. Will this ever happen ?

Apology. I purchased this app a while back and posted a rather negative review given the fact that there was no sound. I've since discovered that this was simply due to my own stupidity and inability to work my iPad. I tried the app out tonight at the end of my workout and I have to say, I think it's really going to be a valuable addition to my program. Well worth the money.

Great idea, poor execution. $5 is not worth it for an app that cannot play while the phone is locked. The app stops unexpectedly when in my pocket, speeds up unexpectedly during whole workouts, overall very glitchy... Will rate this a 5 when the bugs get fixed, but for now, constantly reconfiguring my phone is a pain when I have gloves on
