Road Ready Isn’t!. The App worked, marginally, for a time. Now, my daughter has more than 13hrs logged and the App no longer responds. It just sits & spins and never becomes available. I looked for a web interface so that I could download her progress & delete/re-install the App. I find no web interface, just a generic website that directs me to the mobile App. Also, when it was working, my iPhone would go to sleep & the App would fall behind. Instead of detecting the correct time & updating the display, it would scroll forward in time, second by second (usually 3-4 seconds per second) until it eventually catches up. Do NOT trust your legally mandated driving log with this half-baked app. If it ever improves, I’ll let you know.

Mediocre. The app does the simple task of logging driving hours and prints a log which is acceptable for the DMV. There are just a lot of annoyances. First is the constant interstitial ads for State Farm. It takes multiple screens to save the drive. I already have State Farm insurance. I don’t need an ad after every drive. The app also always requires a data connection presumably to load the ads. This can be very annoying if you are trying to start a drive from a dead zone or parking garage. There is no way to remove a driver. In NC after you get your provisional license you have to log another 12 hrs to get your full license. We tried to create a new driver log but the app kept hanging. As a result we wound up with a bunch of new driver entries and there is no way to delete them. The app is easier than logging hours on paper but you will hate the app by the time you are done with it.

Mandatory but still annoying. It serves a purpose and Virginia pretty much mandates I use this app to track my child’s driving hours. Unsurprisingly and annoyingly, the app inserts annoying ads at the bottom of the page that I can’t avoid and use my data without my permission. Bad enough the states mandates what I do, but that I have to use my data to let them force feed me ads really chaps my hide. Pay attention advertisers, I will purposely avoid buying your products. To the developers of the app, I can’t wait to delete this app. A little bitter? Yup, but if the state is going to mandate I use it, then I should not have to put up with ads!

Great for Tracking but a few issues. This app has made it so easy for me to log my driving hours, but there is a few problems that have started more frequently. Recently, after the latest update, when I turn off my phone after I ‘Start a New drive,’ it will not record my time spent driving and I will have to manually log my drive after I am finished. It isn’t the biggest problem in the world, but I feel like it is a key feature of this app and should be fixed ASAP.

THIS is the gold standard?. We use this app because our driver's ed school told us it's approved by our state...but about the only thing this app does consistently well is display ads...which always seem to do with issue. But it's core drive tracking functionality? Very inconsistent. Can't tell you the number of time I've started a new drive timer for my son only to get home a half hour later and the timer has stopped and the app is sitting at the home screen. Now that I know that happens I have to constantly monitor the app to make sure it's still logging. Or how about when it's successfully saved a drive, then the next day I open the app and it tells me that my previous drive was not saved. Or how about the fact that it's 2022, and it still doesn't have a useful GPS or weather tracking feature. If you drive in the rain or on the highway, you have to manually enter that information in. Silly. We'll use this app because we have to...but it's unreliable, lacks basic features of a driving app, and you have to pay as much attention to the app as you do your teen driver make sure it's doing what it should. I never review apps but had to share my frustration with this one.

Version 3.2.4 Isn’t Working At All. Ok, so I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth and write a negative review of a “free” product, but here goes. We’ve been using this app to teach about 26 hours of driving, and then version 3.2.4 was released three days ago, and suddenly the app won’t save any new drives nor allow prior drives to be logged, effectively shutting down any use for the app! The problem is an ad appears at the bottom of the screen covering the save function, and scrolling is disabled, so there is no way to save the drives! Very annoying to incorporate an app into your child’s driving education and then have it stop working half way through, and even though it’s free, I would think with sponsorship from Toyota, State Farm, etc. there would be enough funding to make sure the updates don’t shut down the app’s functionality altogether!

Good but lacks features. I like the app and that it tracks the hours and conditions that my child drives in (although I usually have to edit the weather and road type because it gets it wrong 90 percent of the time) during her permit period. Takes a lot less time than trying to jot it down. My issue is, why doesn’t it actually track and show a map of where she has driven when reviewing the drives? Speed? Altitude? Etc? All these things are very easily added to an app such as this. It would be great to go back and review the route so that if for example two different parents are teaching, We can each see where the other has taken her and try new roads without having to ask. I can also see how many miles she has on each type of road on a long drive. It would be nice since you can only pick one type of road in the app. That doesn’t help much when the child goes from backroads to a highway and back. By tracking speed, I can give her pointers on staying consistent with her speed such as going up hill or merging onto a highway, etc. All great tools that can be incorporated into the app. Visual references are a valuable tool in teaching.

OKish but fails at some basics. The State of Colorado pushes this app but it isn't up to par. This app should be better than it is. There hasn't been a new version in 2 years. Ridiculous. Fix the notes box on IOS. It is weirdly right justified, and doesn't allow me to paste text. Also if I exceed the character limit, which isn't specified and there's no character counter, and you save it can crash the app and you lose the ENTIRE drive record. That's bad. So I always save the drive first then go back and edit in the notes. But again it needs a character counter because if you exceed the unknown limit you lose all your text and have to start over. So I thought I'd be smart and write my drive notes in... Notes..but nope it won't save notes copied in at all. ***As notes are central to this app, please fix this asap*** Also the Drive Guide simply doesn't work on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. It loads but won't let me scroll at all. Save the drive GPS routes and link to a maps app.

Do not download!!. This app just stops recording after pressing “start drive” randomly. i’ve lost hours and hours of driving hours on huge busy roads and small backroads. Even when it does “record” the time, it does. not get added to the big number that is all drives combined. For any colorado drivers that understand this reference, i’ve driven through the busy Boulder streets, down highways and small busy roads just to get to my school. Keep in mind i do this drive 2-3 times a week and it takes about 45 minutes. for the past two weeks, ZERO of that time has been recorded which is significant, and i need this time to get my license. In short, the app doesn’t actually record you drive when you press start drive (it might if you’re lucky), and in that lucky scenario that it does record you drive, 80% if the time it will not get added to your total drive time. Awful app. I now have to switch apps and make up all my lost time on this trashy platform so i can prove i drove enough to get my license.

Useful but very unprofessional. This app is very helpful and easy to use and I really liked it. But like all the other reviewers, I found this last update disastrous. It was somewhat relieving to hear that I am not the only person who was logged out of their account and cannot log back in. And I’m pretty sure I know what my password is; it just says it’s incorrect. Thankfully Ohio only requires a parental signature for driving time so I can kinda guess how much I had. But they just made their app completely useless, so unless you’re careful to re-record all your drives, i wouldn’t recommend. UPDATE: the developers have reached out to me with a link to get my account back. So there is hope! (But it’s a bit late; my affidavit is signed already. Nice try, though.)

Tracks drive time ok, but editing or adding is broken. If you only use it to track driving time while driving then it seems to work ok. Recent changes make it nearly impossible to add or edit the log though. Let’s say you forgot to start a new drive, and decide to add it afterwards: 1. Click on the menu 2. Click on Log previous drive 3. Edit values 4. Click on Save 5. Notice that the time hasn’t changed accurately 6. Click on menu 7. Click on view driving log 8. Notice that the entry you just added has no time or the wrong time 9. Click log entry 10. Click Edit (notice there’s no save or back!) 11. Correct the time 12. Find there’s no way to save the update or go back to the log 13. Kill the app 14. Reopen the app 15. Read the notice about an unsaved log 16. Save log 17. Confirm that the drive has been logged correctly as the total drive time now reflects the newly added log. 17 steps just to save a drive log is pretty ridiculous given that’s the primary function of this app. Hopefully they’ll fix it, however I’ll probably be looking around for a better app for my other kids if I don’t switch for this kid before he’s done.

RoadReady a Parent Review. I would say it is a good app for keeping track of your child’s driving time without logging it in a book. It was very useful for that and it sent weekly reports that helped motivate my child to drive more. It did have flaws where the time would not save the last drive and I had the remember the amount of time. I wish it had a pause drive so if you did quick stops you could continue the same drive instead of starting a new drive. You have to manually input the miles that you drive and the type of road and weather. With the type of road you can only select one and like other parents said somethings you drive on multiple roads so don’t have the option to more than one. I ended up selecting the one we spend the most time one. Other than that I like using it.

Great Customer Service & Super App!. RoadReady is reliable and easy to use with terrific customer service! I had a slight issue with my menu selections and after a quick email to customer service I received an immediate response. An update to the latest version of the App was all I needed. I would recommend RoadReady to anyone with a new driver as a way to track driving hours. The App tracks distance, time driving, road conditions and time of day. My teen driver liked earning the different badges for accomplishments such as highway driving, driving consecutive days in the week, etc. I liked the weekly summaries of my teen’s drives.

Good App but improvements needed. This app is simple to use and a good tool but it needs some minor improvements. There are some limitations that are simple to add to make it even better. If you have multiple drivers on the app, it can sometimes get confusing as to who to assign the drive time to. For example my 19yr old is already licensed for 3 years and does not need to track hours but I’m unable to delete him as a driver. I am currently using the app to track my 15yr old and it sometimes assigns the driving time to the 19yr old instead of the 15yr old. If you go into a drive and need to edit the “drive” it does not have an option to edit the driver, which is an easy add in my opinion. For parents of twins, I do hope this improves so you can easily navigate between drivers. The creators have a good tool for us parents and we are thankful, we just need some minor improvements.

Um, why?. The app worked great when I first got it. My DMV recommended I use it, and I liked it a lot regardless of the huge State Farm ad that popped up every time I tried to save a drive. But sometimes it’s been weird and just completely forgotten my account...I had to make a new account at one point because my last email apparently wasn’t registered...that was pretty crappy. Maybe 10 hours down the drain. I made the new account, and I’m now about 38 hours into it and it’s now making it impossible to log drives. I don’t even get the button telling me I can save the drive. Why is this app so buggy? It doesn’t seem like it’s super complicated...please fix it. I’m just taking screenshots now of my drives.

This app is awesome!. I’ve used this app for both of my teen drivers to log their hours. Saving the drives are a breeze. Easy to add any info I want or even add a drive I forgot to record. Easy to export the log and print off for the DMV. So happy the DMV recommended it. So there was an update to where the driving log disappeared, but a quick email to the support team and it was fixed immediately. They are in top of it. Have a little patience with the updates. These folks are great. Highly recommend!! And free! What could be better!

Need Help!. Hi! This app has been so helpful in keeping track of my hours, but all of a sudden the app wouldn’t load. I looked up how to fix it and the only option was to delete it and reinstall it. It said my data would be restored once i logged back in. The only problem with logging back in is that I can’t find my old password and email address i used for the app in the first place. So I clicked the “forgot my password” option and it said all I had to do was put in my email and it would help me with the problem. I put in all of my emails and each time it said “error.” What do I do?

Pretty good. We were told to use this app by our driving school. Since I just took my driving skills test, I wanted to leave a review. While the app is certainly not perfect (sometimes it will have trouble connecting to the server or saving a drive), it does its job pretty well and is pretty reliable. I like that it gives you the option to print your driving log or save it as a PDF. I also like how you can add comments to a drive if you want, and the fact that the app syncs across devices is really useful.

Does the basics... but nothing else. At first sight, this app seems great. Upon examination however I found some flaws. For one, all it auto fills in is the time and distance travelled but not anything else. This could be improved by having the app automatically fill in the weather for how the forecast is in the area. This would be great. Secondly, when you are driving it asks you to fill in what type of road you were on and then there are different options to select. You can only select one. On a usual drive most people drive on more than one type of road and so this causes an issue for me as I am not sure which type of road to select. This could be fixed by adding a function that allows the user to select/add multiple road types. Also, in the types of roads list there is no option for Freeway which causes an issue because then I don’t know what to fill in after logging time on the freeway, I have been forced to resort to the highway option. Please add this. If these things were fixed I would give this app 5 stars, however, these issues are holding it back.

big bug. I downloaded this app so I could start logging my drives. Everything was working and perfect the first day I had it. When I went to open the app (second day of having it) it said I had no connection and it was not letting me log in. I gave up and I tried logging in on a different device and the same error came up. “wrong email and/or password” “no internet connection” so then I thought I just had forgotten my password, so I clicked on the “forgot password” and I entered my email and it said that my email was incorrect? This app needed a bug fix. I need to log my drives and this is the only app I can use to do so.

Great customer service!. Really loved the customer service I received when I accidentally deleted the app then couldn’t log back in because I’d mis-typed my email address. They were able to find my driver so we didn’t lose any data! The other great thing about this app is the ability to use the same log in on multiple phones so my teen can have his drives logged even when he’s driving with his grandparents! I was really concerned when I found several durations of 0.0 miles when I exported and printed the log. I figured out though the the 0.0 miles were when we lost GPS on my phone (not unusual in Montana) and the app easily lets you edit the drives.

Awful, beyond awful. Crashes constantly. We use a backup app called Student Driving Logger that is so much better, but this terrible app is the one approved in our state. It loses drives constantly. “Your last drive was not saved.” Get used to seeing that phrase. This unstable app shows it all the time. Update: when awful gets worse. It crashed and had to be reloaded. The password I knew was correct did not work. It required a password reset, which also did not work. Support for this app has completely ceased. Their database must be gone. But their ad money is likely still rolling. I am so glad we used a backup app from the get go. The driving hours were secured. I am hoping that no new users will be conned into using this. Use something else. Our state will have to accept the hours logged in another format because this app was awful before is got worse.

This is the worst part of teaching s new driver. I really do not care for this app. My wife and I have had a lot of issues getting it to synchronize drive times logged between our phones, and I have repeatedly had to reinstall the app because it gets stuck in an infinitely loading loop trying to log on. When it does work, there’s no way to pause a drive in case you stop for gas or run into a store quick, and you can only log one type of driving at a time (e.g., city, highway, mountain…) I’m looking forward to my teen getting her license for a number of reasons, getting rid of this ridiculous app is very much one of them.

It works...until it logs you out and won’t let you log back in. The app WAS wonderful, it was easy to access hours and log them and you could even adjust the settings (type of roads, time, mileage etc) however you pleased. BUT, one day I was with my mom and I was about to start driving when all of a sudden it logged me out of my account and I’ve tried all various passwords I know and it always says error and I haven’t been able to log back in since then and I don’t know how most states do it but in VA you need 45 hours with 15 of those being night hours and I had 20 and I’m quite annoyed that I have to find another way to log the previous hours I had already driven 😡

This app is a necessity!!!. I was so thankful to learn of this app after receiving the booklet from Secretary of State. Not only is there not enough room to jot all the information needed in the booklet, but it feels like it's all over the place. This app literally keeps track of the mileage so we don't have to check every time, it makes starting the driving time so simple. This is so important. There's no guesstimating the amount of time or miles. The only thing I've had to edit was whether or not it was raining and what type of road. I love that it has a section for notes. This is helpful for both the parents and the teen to look back on to see how far they've come, or what they need to work on. And the fact that the app sends weekly update reports ON TOP of badges that have been awarded, it's seriously the "cherry on top"! Best, most useful app for a student driver. The creators really thought of everything!

Excellent customer service. I’m so impressed with the level of personal service I received from the Road Ready customer support staff. I received 3 follow up emails within hours of submitting a question, as well as a pdf of my child’s driving log because I was unable to print it when I needed it for her class. This was above and beyond service. Road Ready took the hassle and frustration out of my situation with the the simple factor of personal service! I’m really impressed. Thank you to Chris S. In customer service!!!

App is horrible and useless for my teen drivers. The app lets you select multiple drivers, which I needed in this case as I have two daughters with their permit trying to record hours for the state requirement. First off, while the app lets you enter multiple drivers (which I thought was a great idea as I have to teenagers both with their permits), but when you log the hours, you can’t differentiate or assign those hours to the individual driver. so if I log hours for one kid driving, then I take the other one out driving, it just creates one log with no way to know who did what. Another Major issue, when trying to add previous drives, it does not let you select the year, just the month and day. So if I am starting the app in January 2023, and want to log the previous hours for December 2022, it will actually record them for December 2023 as that’s the current year. Kind of a problem when you’re turning in the printed up record of your teens hours, and the app is stating that your team drove on dates in the future.

Slick and easy. My granddaughter passed driver’s ed this summer. The instructor introduced the new drivers to RoadReady. It is the greatest thing since sliced bread. My granddaughter happily keeps her phone charged, sets it up as we get in the car, and RoadReady sends a detailed report every week. Except once for two weeks. I sent an email to RoadReady and Chris contacted me. We got the trouble straightened out and we’re back on track! Way easier than pencil and paper. And RoadReady will be there for as long as it takes us to get in 50 hours of daylight driving and 10 hours of nighttime driving. Thanks RoadReady

So perfect!. I LOVE THIS APP! We have not one or two but FOUR drivers in drivers ed at once. Why, is a different story but trying to keep track of a total of 200 required hours would have been a nightmare. Even if I had a single driver I would love this app as much as I do. So easy, pick a driver you have made a profile for & hit start a new drive. Done! You can tweek weather, road type & other details if needed. Note space available if you want to comment on where you went or what skills your driver worked on. You can add previous drives as well. Simply export and print for Segment 2 or other classes that need proof of your drive time. Could not have been easier. I needed to use custom Er service once as I added a driver twice. They responded immediately and solved my problem cheerfully. Thank you Road Ready!!

Great app for tracking dive times!. Hi my name is Wyatt and I have just recently finish my segment one driving Ed class and I needed an app that could track my times. And I found RoadReady. This app is great you can start it and will track how many miles you have drove and will have you fill out what you drove in like the snow or rain and even night. This app never crashes and is always working when I need it to! And when your done with your hours you can even print out a hard copy of your driving hours! Now thanks to RoadReady I can get my required hours in so I can get my drivers licenses! I recommend this app for keeping track of you driving hours and preparing for your drivers license!

Nice app and Great customer service. I really like the idea of this app but twice this week, there was an error while saving her driving record and it did not save. One drive was nearly 2 hours! It is very frustrating to miss out on this time being documented. UPDATE. I was contacted and they helped me with some troubleshooting tips. We were able to manually enter the drives that did not log. I really appreciated that they were able to help us with this. It is a nice app to have and very convenient to not have to write everything down.

Basic but Useful. This app records miles driven, weather while driving, which road type was driven, time of day (day or night driving), and duration of the drive for the users of the app. These are essential information when getting required practice hours in for the MVA. The app is very helpful. The app may lack fancy features, but this app has everything necessary, and the app works great. In addition, users are able to add notes to their drives in the app!

Once a day?. The idea seems good, but it’s flawed. Unless I am the only one having issues, it will only let me log one drive a day. My son drove to work in the morning and I logged that drive, then when he drove home, I tried to log the afternoon drive and it overwrote the first drive. I was entering these in manually, because I forgot to “start” the app when we left, so I don’t know if this is an issue when using it that way. I guess one could add all the time together and edit the log, but this will become a problem when the driving conditions change (ie, daytime/nighttime or weather ). As someone else said, it would also be nice to be able to choose more than one road type. The only thing mandatory in our state is a certain number of daylight and dark hours, but for our (parental) reference, keeping track of road types and weather conditions would be nice too. People rarely drive on one type of roadway when they go somewhere.

Forgot Password Feature Doesn’t Work. The app worked greta for me until I got a new phone. When I got my new phone I logged me out of my account so I had to log back in, but I had forgotten my password. I tried to use the forgot password feature that the app has built it, but when I put my email in it did not work. I even checked my spam mail just in case. I’ve spent like 30 something minutes looking up how to contact customer service but none of it is working. Please fix this feature because I need to finish my drivers training.

It used to be good. This app used to keep track of miles but it does not anymore. They do not update it much so the bugs are not fixed. Also, if my teen does two drives in one day it will override the first drive with the second one. It would be really nice if it had a pause button for stoplights because some stoplights are at least two minutes long and when driving in the city limits that could be 10-15 min we are just sitting at a stop light. The start and stop feature isn’t good for that purpose because it’s not keeping track of miles so if you need to have miles for your drivers Ed you have to calculate every single drive. That is a lot of drives if you have to push start and stop at every stoplight.

Used it for both kids and it is a lifesaver!. With my oldest I used this app for the last half of her driving and everything else was written. I love how the app keeps track of everything. I can change the types of roads, weather, to fit the conditions. My dad cuter gets badges, weekly driving reports, and I can print it out for court. This app is free and a lifesaver with a ton of thought put into it. Thank you to the developers for making it easy to teach my child by having the manual, tips, and log available on my phone in one place!

Handy and easy to use. I like this app because it makes it easier to track the timing instead of manually doing. It’s a real timesaver. But one thing I don’t like is that you can’t select more than one weather at a time. Like it can be rainy and foggy but when you finish your drive, you can only select one. Same thing for fog and snow. Also when driving you can only select one road type. Like I could be driving a while on a local road then get on the highway to get to the city but can only choose one road type.

Better before update. I like the ease of use. It is easy to start and stop drives, it automatically tracks weather day or night, and allows me to edit if I started the drive late or accidentally forgot to stop it at the end. It is easy to select the weather conditions. It also used to automativally track the miles. It has stopped doing that, and I believe that was after I install the update. Not a big deal, but since it used to work I’m hoping they will fix this. Instead of auto filling, it shows 0 miles for each drive. I can’t find any setting that can fix that. (In phone settngs, I have location turned on while using the app, and precise location turned on.) I can manually input the miles. So that’s fine for trips that we have taken so many times, we know. But other trips I have to guess. The app also allows you to retroactively log times when you forget to use the app. I would’ve given it at least 4 stars if the mile tracking was still working.

Finally Loaded -Updated. App won’t load after first drive. Looks like it is busy pinging an ad server. I will give you a couple of dollars to get rid of the ads and fix some of the stuff with the application. Update: This app is trash. Feel like this was somebody’s MS/HS coding project, but somehow is the only one accepted by the Colorado DMV! 🤯 This app will not track mileage. Cannot tell what time of day. Never even asks about road conditions. It is basically a glorified timer. There are others that are far superior, but not accepted by my state. Which is really sad. I would like to be able to give my child some actual stats. And I would like it if I wouldn’t have to edit every little thing. Heck even my iPhone knows when I am and am not driving 🤦🏻 Get it together. Or at least get rid of the ads. That money is obviously going straight into your pocket and zero development!

It’s missing one thing. I just barely download this app yesterday. I feel that it’s useful. It needs a pause button during drive time. Yesterday I had errands to run and stopped at two stores. I was literally in a store for 1 minute and left to the next one and it was like 2 minutes to get to the next designation, in there for 10 minutes and then proceeded to home. They are three separate logs because I’m not going to give her credit when we stop somewhere even for a minute. But the lump some drive time for that trip was 30 minutes.

Awesome App. This is my 2nd child learning to drive. With the 1st, I had to write down everything and keep up with everything. This app is awesome compared to writing it down on a sheet of paper. Does it have everything you might do, no but it’s pretty close. Highway, freeway, major road? They’re all close enough to choose one or the other. Specifics aren’t that important. Can it detect the weather? No but you have choices. It’s a click, not hard to do. Trust me it’s WAY better than writing it all down. I love how it keeps up with the drive time and you can edit it if need be. Love it!

Good, but needs some improvements. As a teen driver, I like this app much better than using the paper booklet you get, as it is much less tedious. It logs the drive and mileage automatically, which is convenient and saves a lot of time. However, I do wish there was a “pause” button, along with the stop drive button. Often times I am at the gas station or stopping by a store quickly, and I just want to continue the same drive when I get back into the car, but I usually have to stop the first drive and start a new one. Another needed feature is a “inclement weather” meter, along with total time and night hours. Our state makes teens do 5 hours of driving in rain or snow, but I can’t currently see if I’ve completed those hours in the app without going in and adding up all the rain hours manually. Overall, I really like this app for logging my hours, but I think it could be better with these 2 improvements.

I expected better.. At first it was fine, I notified it was lacking some details about the driving besides the time driven and time of day, but that didn’t really matter to me. After a total of 5 hours and 6 minutes, the app crashed. It has been this way for over 2 days and I’ve had to write down the time driven in notes to keep track. This is absolutely ridiculous, and I was really enjoying the convenience of this app despite its flaws already, but to have it crash and not work for days? I mean I tried multiple things, such as the classic reboot of the app and then my phone, I tried signing out and back in only for it to have errors with that as well, so then I deleted the entire app and re-downloaded with the same result as before. Fix this bug please or I’ll use another dmv approved app, maybe one that doesn’t crash with only 5/50 hours logged.

Needs a Pause Feature. Have a pause function. As a young driver I often drive my parents to the store, or swing by someplace to pick something up. The car may not be in motion for 10-30 minutes. But I shouldn’t the leave the timer running during that time because I am not driving. Also it’s inconvenient to have to stop the timer and start a new drive when all I may be doing is getting gas. So having a pause feature where I can pause my drive timer then resume the same drive after when I start driving again. Other than that the app works well. Though when adding notes it has the curser in a strange spot, but that’s not a big deal.

Where'd my hours go?. I have been using this app for months (no problems I liked it) and had over 6 hours logged but when I got on the app today to start a drive it had logged me out and went on a sign in screen. I typed in my login but it didn't work and when I put in my emails for "forgot my password" they said there wasn't an account. I made a new one but then logged out and put the login info back in and it didn't work. So now all my hours are gone and I've been locked out of two accounts. I have 3 months until I get my license and am now back to square one. I don't even know if I want to make a new account, I might just get a new app.

Broken app. Not Road Ready - Make Apps Great Again. App stopped working this morning. Can't make any entries. This app has so many issues and bugs. Data entry is poor and the app is entirely dependent on an internet connection. Editing rides is also too difficult. And I'm a bit tired of seeing a National Guard add after every drive. Logging miles should be easy utilizing the data already available on iPhone. My kids most recent drive was never recorded. The app quit. When I tried to manually enter it, the prior trip erased. When I re-entered that the earlier trip was erased. The data should be stored on the phone and then synced with the online date base, not just wait for an internet connection. I can take a walk and know how far I walk, so why can't this app figure out how far we drove?Hire some high school programmers to fix this app.

Customer Support. My daughter did not realize that she needed to keep the app until after her drive test, segment 2 class and getting her license She had deleted the app with all of her hours on it. We could not remember what email or password she had used to sign up with. So we emailed customer support and they responded within 12 hours of us sending the email. They were able to find her account and send me the drive log! Saved me a big headache of having to go back and look for all of the times she drove! Thank you customer support.

I can’t log back in. So my boyfriend just got logged out after trying to put in some more driving time and it won’t let him back in. He was almost done with his hours and now he can’t log in so I logged out of mine and tried all of his information a bunch of times and it didn’t work. We both even tried to do the I forgot my password thing with all of his emails he has and it won’t work. So then when I tried to log back into mine and it did the same thing to me. And we are both mad because we can’t get our driving time back so can you please help us get it back. Edit: it has been 11 days and we still can’t log in we better be able to have proof of our hours before it’s time because this is insane we are teens and this app was recommended by the DMV this is crazy please log us back in!!

Good but needs fixing. This app is really good for tracking your driving time, but the one downside about that is that there are a lot of bugs within it. For instance, I got practically locked out of my account through a loading screen and it wouldn’t let me do anything within the app. It would just show that the app was loading something that would never load, so what I ended up having to do was delete the app off of my phone and then re-download it onto my phone and log back in to my account within the app which then brought up my account and everything was back to normal.

Overall Good. I have been using this app for about a year now, and it is pretty good! I can’t use the timer, because it has to use WiFi/data to actually use it, which is a bit annoying, because I can use the Apple Clock app on my phone without data or WiFi. That is the main problem, is having to be on WiFi to get the app to work, but I just have to watch the clock and figure out how long I’ve been driving. The other minor problem is when I go to log two different drives. When I tap on “Log previous drive” for the second drive, it will glitch and go back to the main screen before I could put in the drive. It is a bit annoying, but I don’t think too much of it. I would recommend maybe having an option to say something like “Tasks performed” and let you put things like parallel parking, backing up, parking, stuff like that, so you can see how well you’re doing. And maybe letting you put multiple tasks at once, so that you don’t have to put separate drives for each thing. That would be nice for if you need to see what you need to improve on, and what you are good at. Mainly because the app seems to be focused on only driving, and not as much of the manoeuvres you need to pass your test. Overall, besides the two minor issues, I like using this app to track my driving, and see how many more hours I need!

Needs a PAUSE button. Have only used for a short time and like the app so far for the most part. It would be VERY helpful to have a PAUSE button. If you are doing errands and making several stops throughout the day it is a pain to have to start a new drive every time we stop. Did see a response to this same request that you took it off because people were forgetting to un-pause it. What is the difference between having to un-pause it and starting a new drive? You still have to remember either way and you wouldn’t have a ton of short drives for one day. Please add it back!

Major fixes needed. This app is pushed by my state to electronically log drive times. I used it back in 2017 for 1 driver, and again now for 2 drivers. The app has gotten worse since 2017! I don’t know how many times I’ve had to manually go and edit a log because the app constantly stops logging while in a drive, that’s if it even logs the drive time! Just this morning it stopped logging 10 times in a 5 minute period! There has not been an update to the app in 4 months, and it’s desperately needed to fix these issues! An app should improve over time, not get worse!

Advice. Hey, for the people that can’t log back in I have some advice. The same thing happened to me when I was less than two hours short of my required hours. I went to the parents supervised driving program website and requested my log and got it just in time! My remaining minutes I just wrote by hand. Hope that helps!!

Must-have. I love this app. Even though it’s meant for parents to log their children’s hours I use it to log my own hours. Sometimes I forget to turn the app on but it has a feature where I can put in my hours after the fact which is really useful. The only feature I wish it had was that it would make a GPS map of my drive. That would be really awesome.

Absolutely Terrible. I started driving recently and this is the app I need to log my driving hours. The navigation on the app is terrible, you can’t delete an account, every time you stop driving, it doesn’t save, etc. For the last couple drives, it hasn’t saved so I would have to save again with a message it would prompt me. But today, it happened again but when I tried to save my night hours, it came up with an error message leaving me no no additional time for my required night hours. Garbage app.

Keeps deleting hours. Frequently when I log a drive it deletes a previous one and replaces it. So if I have a one hour drive one day and then log a ten minute one the next, the hour long drive will be deleted and I will have 50 less minutes than I started with. This glitch doesn’t fix until keep relogging all the deleted drives multiple times, so I have had to start writing everything on paper. This needs to be fixed because I need to be sure of the correct amount of driving hours.

glitchy. I had not have been in the app for about a week or two because I already had my hours done and when I went back to the app to make sure I still had the hours, it glitched out of the app every time I would try to open it. I thought it would be a good idea to delete the app and download it again, I forgot my password to my login so I clicked reset password and i entered my email and i haven’t gotten an email since i wanted to reset it, I've even emailed them a complaint about what happened and they still have not gotten back to me so i suggest you stay active on the app even if you have all your hours!!!!

Great app & support. We’re now using this app with our 3rd teen driver. It’s a huge improvement over the days of clocking time and recording on paper. The app clocks the time, estimates the mileage, calculates the running totals of day & nightime driving, and allows the user to attach additional information like location, weather, traffic, or other notes for future reference. And it works with multiple drivers. On top of all that, the app is backed by EXCELLENT customer service!

Nothing is working anymore!. I initially loved how easy it was to log a drive. However, it seems unnecessary that you have to click several times to save a new drive. And now, the app hasn’t saved our last 2 drives. A box comes up stating that there is some kind of error. I tried to manually enter a previous drive, but the error box appeared then, too. I logged out of the app hoping it would reset, but now it won’t let me log back in. The app is now useless at this point.

Started off great but... The app started off great. It was working amazing and I would use it every time I would drive. The only thing would be when the app would close and my drive wouldn’t save but I found a way to fix that. Recently though it won’t even let me into the app itself. When I click on the app I’m either met with a spinning wheel of death or it kicks me out of the app. It’s very frustrating because I have 13 hours on the app and I don’t want to have to restart.

Not reliable. Recently the app has been very unreliable. Over the past 3 weeks it is questionable if the app will log in. Instead I get a message that something went wrong. This is concerning since my child has 46 of 50 hours logged. How do I know it won’t fail when it’s time to print and take the records to motor vehicles? I am using an iPhone 7 with iOS 12.4.1 (I tried to message support, rather than leave a poor review, but it wouldn’t allow me to, it told me I had to leave a review). Customer support for this app is extremely lacking.

Awful app would give 0 stars if possible. The concept is great but the execution is terrible. The app only fills in the time not distance even though it asks to use location. Additionally in the first week the app has locked up for any actions. However it still adds a drive that you can not delete since the log won’t fully load. Also there is no web interface to correct removing a cellular network. It looks like State Farm and another are purely using for advertising. Which is weird, because my experience with the app would make me run from any company that develops.

Stopped Working. This app worked really well for a few months, but it randomly started to stay on a loading screen no matter how long I waited for it to load. I’m mostly writing this review in hopes of finding out if I can delete the app and still keep my progress; I need it for my driving since I’m a minor that hasn’t taken my final driving test yet in which I need 50 hours of driving before I can take it. So, would I still keep my progress if I deleted the app and redownloaded it, or would all my progress be wiped?

Keeps not saving drives. This app worked OK for my first driver a few years back. Now, with my second driver, it seems to frequently say “last drive not saved”. So much so that I’m double checking before I close out the app but the next time it’s launched it’s STILL giving me that message! I have always been annoyed when I start a drive that has several stops, like errands, it seems to shut itself off before I’m able to save the drive. So I have to go back and manually input it (that still happens now too).

Was good don’t know what happened. At the beginning of my child’s journey to get his required driving hours in this was a lifesaver! But now that he only has about 8 hours left to get, it has been frozen for like 2 months and I can’t even get his logged hours he’s already done. Upset about this isn’t even the word! I was going to delete it and redownload and sign back in but it said all data would be lost…

Nv dmv and road ready app. This app was very useful in logging all driving practice time. Nevada accepts this log. The only thing I caution is that night time driving logged using the app does not match the sundown chart that the dmv uses to verify the night time driving. Son almost did not get to take the test because there were several records that showed “night” but based on sundown chart it was actually daytime. So make sure that you track a lot more hours at night to be safe. Overall, I highly recommend this useful tool.

Horrible tracking even with full battery and plugged in. On my daughters first full day driving for her Level 1 Permit we started the driving log and placed it in the center console while driving with no one touching the phone. About an hour into the drive I picked up the phone to find that the app had shut down at 7 minutes and we had lost all data from the full hour drive. There is no way to edit or restart the log unless you save that short drive and then go in and edit it. However, you have to manually edit each part of the drive and piece together the drives if you want an accurate record. Horrible GPS tracking and timing out does not make sense.

Want us to log? At least make it decent. Hello, At first everything was great. It was easy to log drives, there’s a timer wow so perfect. Until it stopped timing my drive all together. At first I was like, it’s ok I’ll just do it manually. Then it completely crashed and won’t let me back into my account. At first it was ok I’ll just make a new account, even tho I already have 3 hours for the day driving and 1 hour for the night driving. But after all of this it just stoped letting me add times and kept crashing. Seriously, how do you guys expect us to use this app you all recommended, yet let it act out like this? Here are some recommendations from subtle to fix it. 1) add more than one weather - Michigan weather is bipolar it can rain snow and be sunny in the span of 10 seconds. I know for sure this ain’t the only state. 2) Improve the timing - make sure it times you even if the phone turn off. 3) Please stop the crashing That’s all bye.

Easy & organized. This app is great! Just remember to turn it on or it won't log the hours, haha. Then it keeps track for you. No more trying to remember to add your drive to the log or was it day or night. What was the weather? This app keeps track then you just print it out. If you do forget or your child drives with someone else like Grandma or older siblings there is a place for you to add the drive time later. So simple ✅🤷‍♀️ all in one app! Thanks wish I had this for the first kid. 😉

Worst app-useless. This may be the worst possible app to use to track your child’s driving. Fails to record drives, logs out and erases past drives, won’t allow you to log back in-gives error messages, says password is constantly incorrect and gives other error messages when attempting to recover passwords and user id’s. Your are better off using a pen and paper. This app should be pulled immediately until the developers correct ALL of the issues. States need to stop using this to track driving for new drivers. Terrible all around.

Why. During RoadReady's last update (July 10) it for some reason logged me out of my account. I proceeded to sign in with my correct email and password, but it still says it is wrong. So I typed it in again, same thing. That was the point in which I hit the "Forgot your password?" button, and typed in my email. It said it was the incorrect email. Looks like I have to start a new account, 20 hours down the drain.

Amazing!!. This app is literally sooo amazing and helpful!! It really helps not having to write everything by hand and it does exactly what we expected it to do! It does all the basics and that’s it. It pretty simple which I believe is better. I especially love that it’ll ask your state so that it can go ahead and know exactly how many hours you need! I always forget lol…. This is an amazing app and I’ll definitely be suggesting it to others!

Glitches, ads, and overall unreliable. The app doesn’t reliably track driving and sometimes stops tracking mid drive. There are also ads everywhere. They also send you promotional email for other products. For example just today I got an email for them about “Affordable Eyewear for Teens.” Nothing to do with driving. Also it sometimes doesn’t track distances while driving which is annoying. If my driving school didn’t require this app I would definitely use a different app or just track driving hours manually.

Used to be great, but.... I loved this app at first. I used it when my daughter was getting her hours and it worked beautifully. It also worked great when my son started driving 2 years later - up until this last update. I couldn’t login & had to change my password. The way the lines were formatted I had to guess what I was typing - I couldn’t even see the box. The mobile view isn’t lined up properly. It freezes every time I try to save a drive and I have to go out and back in to make sure it saves. Please fix!!

DO NOT USE!!!!!. My son is having trouble logging in and there is ZERO customer support. I emailed them weeks ago and received no response. I emailed them again, no response. There’s no phone number or other contact info. Without their help he will lose documentation of his progress so far, and he was over half done. I recommend using paper logs because the developers will do NOTHING to fix issues that could cause you to lose all your documentation. Update: contacted them through their Facebook page, finally got a response and they helped fix the issue.

Not working correctly…. Well… at the recommendation of DOL I’ve been using this app to log my daughter’s driving hours. It’s clunky, but mostly functional. Usually after clicking save enough times it works out okay. However, the app is now frozen. I can’t close it, I can’t reload it, I can’t do anything to fix it. I’ve reached out to the developers and haven’t received a response. I’m afraid we are back to square one. I’m planning to dig through my emails in the hope that I can recreate at least some of her driving history so we can salvage some of her practice hours. Frustrating for sure! Keep a backup record just in case.

Great for tracking Drive. This works very well. I hit the start button when I get in the car. And hit stop when I am finished. And that is it. Sometimes you need to edit the weather and road type. But other than that it works great. Also when you can email the log from the app into a pdf which is very helpful.

Great tool. My State requires a log of hours for their graduated license program. This app has been an amazing tool for logging all hours driven. Best of all we were able to install it on multiple devices all all sign in to the same account so we can all log the hours. I also really like that it knows the weather conditions, time of day, etc. gives you a good picture of what you need to work on with your new driver.

Not many other options. Would help if others could share the account to log. The app works - very easy to capture drives by hitting start stop and safe. Would be nice to be able to have multiple users log for the same driver. For example, it would be great if my wife and I could log for my sons driving. We generally don’t have him log to ensure that the log is accurate. It also allows me to log a previous drive if somebody else drove with him or I forgot to use the app. Occasionally, I have run into an issue where it doesn’t save what I log. If I close the app and open it again I don’t have a problem anymore. I have not found any other apps out there that do this or or any easier to use.

Used to be good. I used this app a couple years ago, and it was great. Now I'm using it for my second teen driver, and it's no good. It stops counting drive time part way through a drive, and freezes randomly. But for the last few days I haven't been able to use it at all, because I can't save the drives; there is an ad covering the save button. I contacted the developer, but heard nothing back. Update: heard from them, the issue is screen size. My screen is small, that's why the save button is covered by the ads.

A Mess. I’ve had this app since about early August. Everything was going fine until this last update, when I tried to go back into the app after it all of my time was gone. This is very frustrating because now I have to start all over again when I already had about 6 hours logged. Since I am a teenager I don’t get to drive a lot so that time was collected over a long period of time. I need my time and old account back. Somebody in management needs to do something about this because I’ve seen other reviews saying that the same thing happened to them.

Not a very good app. I’m too lazy to list all the little problems with this app, but I am going to list a big one. After the new update, my account and all my hours were deleted. I tried logging in with a few of my emails and passwords, but my account was gone. I made a new account with the same email as the old account, as it said it wasn’t in the system yet. The app worked fine before the update, and that’s why I gave it three stars.

Won’t save the drives. It started off alright. I thought it would automatically add the distance and weather but it doesn’t. It’s also a pain to keep the logged hours right when my husband and myself both use the app for our daughter, we have to go into the driving log and edit the drive that was input on the other device then save it again to get it update the hours. When I try to add previous drives it deletes the drive that was input before it. Might as well use the hand written log book the dmv gave us.

Horrible App and poor customer service. This app freezes and then you can’t log on to get your information. I contacted customer service because online it says just delete the app and then reinstall and it should work. Well I can’t remember my password and their “send you a link” doesn’t send a link to reset it. I asked for their assistance and they gave me someone else’s kids name and told me that they sent me a reset link. They sent it to the other person. I can’t get another response and it’s frustrating. Don’t use this app, it’s not worth the frustration it causes!!

Simple and it works. Very simple app that works well for logging my teenage son’s driving time required to get his drivers license. Push a button to start the drive, push the button to stop the timer. Then just pick the type of road and you’re done. Creates a PDF file to print for proof of completed time for the license. No fancy graphics, no mapped routes, no problems.

unreliable and Doesn’t Work. this app is a dud! it does NOT Continuously run and if driving a long drive it will time out and just stop working and you will lose precious time and data and that’s if it saves at all. Constantly rejects entries. Never saves data, loses more than it saves if You’re lucky enough to get it to save. You are not allowed to add memos even though the options there, that’ll definitely blow up the app. Out of 25 trips only four actually saved. I had to manually enter each drive. The app makes no sense, it’s easier to use a pen and paper.

Terrible. This app has really been degraded over the years. This is the third kid I have used this app with to track driving time. It used to track miles driven but they could figure out how to keep the app from crashing when other apps where open and using gps. Now it comes up with an error every time I launch it saying it did not save the last drive. When I click save I get the circle of death and that app never recovers. Been going on for several weeks bow and I am about to find a new app to track these with.

Like it then I don’t like it. It does the job of giving you a way to keep record of driving times for your teenager but it’s faulty in how it saves data. You have to make sure you press “Save” then “Done”, and then then data yet not saved at times even when you do that. But as far as it detecting “night vs day” or “clear vs raining”, it does an okay job. You have to enter the type of road such as highway, major road, etc. I also wish it would detect the number of miles traveled. Oh well..

Unable to reset password. The app worked fine until recently. However, it logged me out after the most recent update. I forgot my password and attempted to use the ‘forgot password’ option. It said to check email for a link. Well, after 3 attempts and nearly 24 hours, and I have yet to receive the email. Developers contacted but no response. Very frustrating as 28 hours have been lost. Bottom line - use another app or do it the old fashioned way. This app is worthless if you forget your password. Update: Chris from RR got me back up and running.

Check the night driving. This app has some major bugs. All of the day/night driving was mixed up. In Nevada you have to have 10 hours of night driving and it listed some of my night driving hours at 11 AM or 9 AM and we didn’t know that it did that until we got to the DMV ready to take the drive test and the lady tells me it’s screwed up and I have four minutes to fix it otherwise I have to reschedule. Needless to say four minutes was and unreachable limit so we had to reschedule and it was very very inconvenient.

It Does the Basics. I downloaded this to keep track of my driving hours and it does a good job of keeping them. (when the app doesn’t crash or refuse to open) All of the other features are kind of buggy. Although it can refuse to open at times and I have to manually add in my drive times after it starts working again. Also, when entering in the type of road you drove on, there is only room for one type. I usually drive on several over the course of a single drive.

Unreliable. I like the concept of this app, but every time I try to save a log, I get an error message. When I first got the app, I would keep trying to save it only to see that it logged the same driving session several times and I had to delete them. There have been several driving sessions that I had to discard because it would not save them. I am going to delete it and try again. I hope it works because it will be more convenient. However, so far the “buggy” aspect of the app has left me using the pen/paper log way to often.

Impossible to use. This app would absolutely under no circumstances save my drives. I tried using it three times before finally deleting it. The first two times my phone turned off during the drive and because of that they didn’t save. The most recent time it said it saved and then I tried to go back into the app to start a new drive and it told me to save my previous drive because it didn’t save and wouldn’t let me start a new drive until I saved that one. It then took me to a perpetual loading screen on which I waited for hours. I tried restarting the app and my phone and it still wouldn’t work. Would not recommend.

Login bug! Can’t get to my logs now!. Having the same issue as everyone else. App logged me out, now refuses to let me log in again, and says my email and password is wrong. I know it’s not wrong. And when I try to reset my password, it says my email address is invalid. I only have two email addresses, so I think I know what my email is. The app has a huge bug that needs to be addressed ASAP. We have 20+ hours logged in this app, and I can’t get to it now. The developed needs to step up and fix this terrible app. Everyone else, do NOT use this unless you want to lose all of your logs, until the developer fixes this.

Seemed okay at first, but it’s buggy. This app is frustrating. It started giving me an error every time I try to enter a previous drive. But then the next day, that drive will show up on the log. Also, sometimes when using the app to automatically track the drive in progress, it will tell me it wasn’t saved even though I saved it when the drive was over. It’s frustrating because we have three months worth of drive times in it already and now I don’t trust it anymore. I think I will try a different app and load all of our previous drives.

Must have cell service. Works Ok as long as you have cell service, which here in the mountains of Colorado can be spotty. If a drive ends in an area without service it errors. That drive will be synced when back in service, but no additional drives can be started or stopped, so all data is lost & must be manually kept track of outside the app. App needs the ability to store data locally for when no service is available & then it can synchronize up to server when back in range.

Good but not great. First, this app is WAY better than trying to track driving time in a notebook. It is easy to use and I like that it links between different phones. My biggest complaint is there is no pause feature. A lot of our driving time happens while running errands and it stinks that we have to totally stop it and start again when we run into a store for 5 mins. Having a pause feature would be awesome!
