Online publishing. A nice touch to access the monthly issues

Please Update App - Does not work on iPad 10. I can log in using my iPhone 12 Pro Max. BUT the app will not allow me to log in using any of my iPads - get an "Access Denied" "Error 15" "This Request was blocked by the security rules" Went to website and reset password - same problem. Deleted the app, rebooted, reloaded, and still no luck. From the other reviews, I'm not the only one having this problem. AARP please fix this as many of your members need to use their larger devices to read the publications. UPDATE: After multiple tries getting the error message = the moving letters to enter for security is a terrible idea for older eyes = was finally able to log in and view the publications. It should really not be this hard to login into an app that is supposed to support the older generation.

Informational publication. Each month I enjoy reading this Bulletin with great tips and information for the Senior Citizen. Keep up the good work. Ron from California

Doesn’t work. I logged in, but got error 15. I deleted the app, re-installed it, and it does not even bring me to the login screen anymore, just immediately shows error 15 again. I can successfully log in to the AARP website, so this is an app, not a password issue.

Access to PDF files. I would like to be able to save the PDF file to my local drive so I can archive it. The current design forces me to loose access to them when I am not in an app

Reading AARP Articles on my phone. I have found articles very informative and a lot of common sense for the elders.. Congratulations and Goo work 😊👏🏼

Great Information!! WoWzA!!. I love reading articles from AARP Mag! And AARP Period!:)) I’m new to it and am so glad I joined. They make your day with such awesome Info🥰 ThankU AARP❣️ KsK

No page numbers? No search bar?. No page numbers in contents or on the actual page. No,search bar is just lame.

AARP BULLETINS. Really enjoy reading these monthly AARP Bulletins. Find them very informative and keep them for reference in my daily activities. Thank you!

Initial review. Not everyone is 100% apple. Reading on my phone, hoping spelling is Ok as nothing I type is showing up. Wish I could read articles on my windows HP computer

AARP. I love the updates on government news about social security and medications. I appreciate topics on financial info as well. The magazine protects seniors from fraud encounters of which devious individuals would take advantage of those of us who are vulnerable. The magazine highlights topics centered on seniors to help direct our lives in a more favorable setting. Being informed is essential in this changing world.

Where are the instructions?. Being able to read the magazines offline is a great idea. But where are the instructions? I downloaded it but where is it? It’s not under Saved and it’s not in my files. Why aren’t you more considerate of your audience?

Scrolling Issue. Every time I scroll down when reading an article on my iPhone my page enlarges so that I can’t read the article until I resize the page. It happens very frequently and is very annoying. Please help.

Never disappointed. AARP Magazine is my link to what’s happening in the world affecting seniors. Having read manuscripts in my professional life, it is a pleasure diving, into another professionally written piece. The’Music and Mind’ feature (December 23 - January 24) was a gem worth sharing with family, which I did. Bravo.

Good mag. One of the few I read cover to cover.

App Does not Work with iPad. I received the same security message that others have mentioned. The app gives me a security error after correctly entering my email address and password. This needs to be fixed.

Does not work. I can’t log in using my iPad. I keep getting an Error 15 message. If I try logging in without a password, which is an option, I sign in from an email into a browser which gives me no option do do anything. It’s useless for me

AARP app for iPad does NOT work. App still won’t open on iPad Pro because of “security rules.” As of February 2023. I don’t want to read issues on an iPhone

A grateful gal. I don’t drive so getting to the post office was a challenge People were taking my mail and sometimes I didn’t get an issue so thanks for sharing the back issues

I love this app!. It is great to be able to open this app to read the articles anywhere & anytime I’m free. If I’m waiting in line, in the car, or just want to read; I’ve got access to all the best & informative articles AARP offers.

Cannot access “Exclusive Extras!” digital content.. I got the app to view the “Exclusive Extras!” digital content. I found the page in the table of contents, but there are no links on that page to actually view the articles. Poor UI design.

Print too small to read. Since the news letter is targeted to the older populations, one would think the printed version would have larger print. I enjoy reading the paper copy but struggle with the small print. Please consider increasing font size.

Not user friendly at all!!. Asked for a phone number at set-up. Wanted a US number with +1 but couldn’t take that many numbers. Duh. Then I tried to play games. Wanted me to login in AGAIN!! I did. So I tried to work the crossword for the day. Wouldn’t let me enter any letters and offered no explanation. I think I will just delete the APP.

Reading Is Such A Joy. AARP publications are always informative, interesting and insightful; for instance the recent article by Tom Chiarella “Henry Winkler’s 6 Lessons of Reinvention”. Who if any of us could ever forget Happy Days and the Fonz?

Error 15 when attempting to register for AARP Publications.. As soon as I hit Register Now, I get Error 15. I tried App Support and using the aarpbot i got a “do not understand” when I selected Yes to the bot’s question “Do you want to chat with an agent”. Not only is the Publications app slamming the door in my face but so is the App Support aarpbot slamming the door. Rates right up there with SouthWest Airlines these days.

Customer service. Sally was excellent and very patient with me!!

Impossible to Navigate. Trying to find the article indicated in my iPad alerts is impossible

Wonderfully useful information.. I’ve been retired almost one year and swimming upstream, trying to learn about Medicare, social security, taxes, discounts, insurance programs, relevant legislation, information for caregivers, medications that affect dementia patients (positively or negatively), financial products, the latest consumer cyber security, etc. The useful information in AARP publications via mail and the app has amazed and delighted. Totally worth the time.

Use it or lose it. I love to read all of relevant articles that keeps me learning and reading is exercise for my brain.

AARP a Wealth of valuable education. There are so many interesting and useful articles on AARP to benefit those of us in the prime of our lives.

The app. Very informative like this app

Can't log in on iPad. No matter what I try, it will not log me in on my iPad. This is not just me. There are several that get the same error.

App is broken on Ipad -. Same error 15 as everyone else How did this get past apple app review ? this a basic showstopper bug

Can’t login, “Error 15”. I’ve tried too many times. Shouldn’t be this difficult

First review. Love the app, and I downloaded it because when I saw the cover of the February/March issue, I said the words, “oh, great, for women. I love it.“ Great cover, fantastic magazine.

Hmmm Having some trouble. I’m trying to use the app but keep getting an error message. Reinstall several times and still the same message. I’ll try once more, then may give up.

Great job on providing pertinent information.. It’s reassuring when we see people who are our age with the same or informative views.

Great information. Love the technology information you provided. Looking forward for more.

Challenging app. It has taken me more than 15 minutes to get this app to recognize me (had to change my password to get in); when I attempt to log into the app, it sits, “Processing…”. One attempt did succeed in logging me in, but then I was immediately presented with a 400 or 404 error, taking me to a page which did not allow me to access the publication. Not sure what's going on…

1st time app user. Love having your magazine, and all the extra articles, right at my fingertips. Thank you.

Good evening. I have a membership until 2030. You gave us a hard time to login my husband, couldn’t Login. I’m not only the member I got for three friends each one for three years. This is embarrassing.

Can’t log in. Like many others I cannot log into the app. Will this ever be fixed?

App won’t allow login from IPad. I have an IPad Air with OS 16.3.1. I’ve tried everything to log into this darn app without success. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling. I changed my password but it won’t let me update it because all I get when I hit the login button I get an error message. I keep getting the same error message no matter what I try: Error 15. Other people have been complaining about this in the reviews for a long time yet it seems to still be happening. It’s very frustrating not to be able to read the publications that come with my membership. And it is a waste of my time to be trying every method I can think of to log in. Is this ever going to fixed?

Website. Very hard to move around, open a puzzle and can’t get out of it, close the app go to which magazine I want to read and it just keeps going back to same puzzle I had 2 weeks ago I sure hope you keep sending me hard copies of the magazine so I can delete the app

Not Friendly. Downloaded app and tried to login but the app would not allow me to paste data from my password keeper. It requires me to manually type the data.

Can’t view the digital content while on the app.. I just downloaded the app, in order to read something advertised in the magazine, but only available if you had the app. I download the app and all the instructions verified my email address still I cannot read the digital content. Help!

Great. It’s great to get the info via the app!

don’t waste your time. No page numbers, very slow, even though I have fast Internet, the pages take too long to load just a waste of time

Not worth your time. Error message,or processing until it times out, have not been able to resolve problems App just doesn’t work

Very Informative. This magazine has provided me with a great source of valuable information. Thank you AARP.

Upgraded to IPad Pro and it locked me out. No response from AARP for help. Several password changes which work on the PC desktop will not work here. Outta here!

AARP doesn’t know this app exists. Just spent a lot of time on chat with AARP, and despite what their website says, this is a dead app. Agents don’t know about and say you have to view the publications on the website. Which of course isn’t accurate either, since the web site only has some articles, not the entire publication. I did suggest to AARP that they remove this dead app, and update their website that sends you to this app from multiple places.

Nothing works. Logged In...downloaded magazine.....can't view or open or read ANYTHING :(

Login spins and spins. Ie fails. Regardless what the developer says in response to reviewers up to a year ago, this issue is NOT fixed. My login works for AARP Now app and website. What a disappointment from org that should easily have resources to quality development team or individual to fix basic login function. Look forward to seeing this fixed but obviously won’t hold my breathe. UPDATE: No new version for over 3 YEARS has to be the problem!! Do you expect your members to have only old un-updated hardware and software. Pull the darn app if you aren’t going to support it!

Access Denied Error 15. Can’t login, just get access Denied error 15.

Great titles but can't tell if reading everything there. It's nice to the have AARP articles so handy, but sometimes the articles seem to progress down and others to the right. There are sometimes points to click on and then can't get back to the original articles. These multiple directions, clicks are distracting from the original articles. While I am on-line a lot reading, sometimes it might be easier to return to a hard copy book or magazine.

Some directions, please?. Can’t figure out how to get article open

Not kind to people with low vision. I am one of the millions of people who has age-related macular degeneration. I found it difficult to read this publication for the following reasons: 1. Some of the pages could be enlarged on my iPad and some could not, even within the same story. 2. The bars at the top and bottom stayed on a very short time. The top bar was difficult to read because the print was black on dark blue. 3. I prefer to be able to view in landscape mode rather than being locked in to portrait mode.(If all pages could be enlarged, landscape mode would allow for larger letters.) I enjoy the content of this publication, but I will soon have to stop reading it if changes are not made. Thanks for allowing me to share my frustrations. Wilma Griffin Texas

Good app. This app has great graphics and is easy to use. However, I think it frustrating that AARP makes you download so many apps for their various services. For an organization that gears itself to an older community you would think they might make it more concise for the possibly (not implying here - I said possibly) less tech savvy.

Love the Magazine!. I never thought I’d get so much information from a magazine but I sure do. Interesting articles plus information to keep you updated on what’s going on. I recommend joining AARP so you can enjoy the magazine and the benefits it brings.

Podcasts. I can’t get any podcasts to play. Very frustrating.

Login issue not fixed. I have read other entries where the IPad publications app doesn’t work. I have an IPad Pro. When I try to login I get the forever spinning wheel of death. I have tried different networks, uninstalled, reinstalled, changed password, rebooted, etc. etc. etc... Still doesn’t work. It’s a shame because I use to be able to read the publications on the app and really enjoyed it. But, I guess all good things come to an end.

Magazine. It only appears as a very light shadow.

Mediocre app that has been unstable for more than a year; AARP doesn’t care.... Haven’t been able to read AARP pubs for several months because they don't show up in this poorly written app anymore. When nothing else worked, I logged out. You guessed it: once again, I can no longer log in! Since the developer doesn’t care about fixing the app, and AARP isn’t holding him accountable, it give up. FAIL + DELETE. Prior UPDATE: Have been receiving emails from developer saying, “The log in issue has been fixed” but it hasn't. The only way I could get in was to delete and reinstall and then change my password. Raised my review to 2 stars for the effort, but without instructions on how to get it to work, it's another time sink. Still a mediocre app with ineffective support. Original review: I prefer to read AARP mags on my iPad but the app has been broken for months. Changed password, deleted and reloaded app, but still can’t log into app. Can log in using browser so I’m pretty sure this an app bug. Not worth wasting more time on a buggy app...

Mediocre app. Love the publication but why no landscape view! It is slow to load but works fairly well after that. I may have missed some instructions somewhere, but have been unable to save a partially completed crossword puzzle to work on later. Love Merle's work, wish there were a friendlier format and a way to allow a different color for incorrect letters as the puzzle is worked.

What’s going on???????. I signed out and tried to sign in again, it just keep spooling. I even deleted the app and downloaded again, it keeps doing the same thing. I appreciated the app especially when I no longer had the print copy. Please help because I do not want to have to hold on to print copies forever. That’s the reason you got such a low rating. I love this magazine. App support need to step up their game and fix the problem with this app. Like right now!!!!!!!!

Fair, it with limitations. Works mostly as one would expect, with swiping sideways moving to new items, down to continue with a longer piece. The multimedia is mostly useful. The limitation come with saving, sharing and book marking. Bookmarking works, but as usual, only when the issue is loaded, which wouldn't be a problem if one could save or share a page. Doesn't work with Instapaper, my preferred software, and one can't post pages or quotes. I.e. It's not designed well for Social Media, or really the 21st century. Rather, it's a fancy magazine that fits on one's iPad, and can't move or be shared.

LOGIN doesn’t work. Continue to receive Security codes ugh!!! Please fix app

Useless since I can’t log on. I cannot log in to the AARP Publications Tablet App on my iPad Pro 9.7 running iOS 11.2.1 - I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app, verified that the email and password are correct and tried to log in several days apart — it gets stuck at the login pop up, the progress dial keeps spinning and I have to close it. The same credentials work perfectly when I log in to the AARP Now App on the same iPad and also when I log in to the website so this should have worked seamlessly.

Forwarding, Printing and Saving. Not possible in this app.

DoesNOT Work on iPad Mini 6th Gen. I’ve had both AARP and Apple support to assist. Keep getting Error 15 AARP login attempt.

Have Not Been Able to Login and Use for at Least 3 Months. Have called twice in the last few months and tried everything they have suggested. They acknowledge they have had problems but have not solved them. It used to work great and I much prefer it over the print version. Natalie today tried the same things with me that I have tried l times but to no avail. She escalated it to their IT people to fix the problem and get back to me. Why change something that had been working well?!

Don't bother. I just want to be able to read the publications on my iPad, BUT after numerous attempts at creating a member account, and then trying to actually log in, I have had no luck! It either dumps me back to the log in screen, or sends me to an "Oops!" Page, which tells me to try again later. I'm not exactly a computer noob here, I've been doing this kind of thing since 1986. How many tries will it take, I wonder? We may never know...

AARP. Enjoying it!

Excellent app for their periodicals!. I read 95% of my books and magazines digitally. I was still reading aarp periodicals physically and scanning articles that I wanted to keep. Well, no more! I can now read and keep articles that interest me on my iPad. Less clutter😊. I subscribe to over 15 digital periodicals and this app is on par with most of the other apps like Condé Nast. I have no complaints and I thank aarp for putting their magazines in Digital form for consumption!!

Great!. Great!

Now I can finally quit getting paper copies. 3 Sep 2014 Just downloaded on an older iPad with the latest ios. Don't have any problems. I suspect those that complain the text stops in the middle of a sentence, for an article they are reading, don't know they need to swipe up or down to get the rest of the text in the viewing field. Try it again, and don't blame the app. Hope this helps! Yep, gotta learn all those quirks of using an iPad, iPhone.

Unable To Log In. I’m trying to get access to a recent Bulletin but I think the only way I can get to it is through the app. When I download the app I need to log in but am unable to. The little wheel just keeps spinning and it gets hung up. I have to totally delete the app and start over - but same thing happens. I read some of the previous reviews and see that this is an issue that has been around a while. What should I do? And do I have to keep coming back here to get an answer?

Difficult to log in. The app won’t let me log in. It doesn’t like my email address for some reason. If that’s the case, give me the option to enter my membership number instead. Then the app gives me a site to add my card to my Apple wallet, but after I log in and try to add it, nothing happens. Please fix these basic capabilities.

Can’t copy and paste. Just dumb that they won’t let you copy and paste your login credentials.

Great digital media experience. This really is a great app. Great job AARP! This app is the next step in digital media: it seamlessly integrates print, web, social media, video and audio--all at the touch of a finger. If I see a topic of interest it's easy to do a deeper dive. Or, if I prefer, to just move onto the next story. You really got my attention!

Very informative. I have been a AARP subscriber since I became 50 and the hard copy of the magazine and bulletin always have a ton of information. The IPad application is a time saver because I can read both products on the go and forget about the hard copies. I wonder if it is also available for kindle

Can’t login. This is an exceptionally poorly written app. Downloaded it on May 6, 2020 on an iPad with an up to date operating system. When you enter email and password, it never completes login. Furthermore, when you start the app, it takes forever before the screen is rendered. So contrary to the previous developer response, the login problem, at least on iPad, still exists. Should be zero stars, except that rating is not permitted.

This app is longer usable. Though I was signed in, the app required login to update most recent issues. Repeated attempts all got no result. I logged into the website via a browser to confirm that I was using the right email and password. Still nothing. I deleted and reinstalled the app. Still, I could not login. I changed my password via the browser and tried that. The same non-result - a grayed-out screen and spinning circle of pain.

Absolutely Horrible. Hasn’t been updated with newest publications since late Summer. Logging out, reinstalling app and signing back in gets you a spinning globe. Please hire someone that knows what they’re doing, preferably a senior. Still not working...Apple please get this piece of 💩 removed from your app store. An embarrassment.

WHAT is wrong with this app?!?. It will not allow me to sign in! Keep waiting & waiting but all it does is grind away on the sign-in page. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled but the same thing keeps happening. Useless. I give up!

Bad app recommendation by AARP. I just tried the CareZone app your last magazine recommended. This app didn't scan one rx bottle, said type in instead. It made you register before you even tried. It's a way for them to get your info and sell it to everyone. I can't believe AARP recommended it. It's the last time I'll use anything recommended by AARP. Too and I can give no stars. Also, I don't appreciate the constant AARP related advertisements mailed to me all the time. Take a break and really help protect us from identify theft by stopping all the mail.

AARP apps *NEED* to work in landscape on my iPad!. (1) AARP apps—all of them—need to operate in *landscape* mode on my iPad. This is the device on which I’d be most likely to use them. (2) Nice to see that most of the content from the bulletin and the mag are available online. To bad the content is so litteredd with ads—I’d expect better since I’m a *paying* member! (3) The print’s too danged smallish. Our local paper’s app has a nifty feature whereby you can click on the article title, convert the article to LARGE easy-to-read plain text, read it, then click to go back. This shouldn’t be so hard to do. Also see the V for Wiki app (for reading Wikipedia) for an idea on ease of reading. Heck, in this AARP even the icons at the top of the screen are hard to see. Atrocious. In the end, the online mag and bulletin are not as enjoyable as leafinf through a good ol’ paper copy at my leisure. There’s just something about the feel of paper. (Especially when the battery runs low 😉)

Has bugs. Wish it worked in landscape mode and had an iPhone version to take with me to read while waiting. Texts are missing spaces between words and if it’s interactive, it’s slow and clunky. I haven’t been using this app that long so I can’t speak to bookmarks or other features. But I definitely prefer reading on my iPad because it’s less clutter, while my mom is old school and the opposite.

Links in Articles Invalid. Ple

Can’t login - Useless - an Actual Waste ofTime. I just downloaded this app yesterday since I thought it might be easier to read the magazine in an app, but it won’t let me log in, as seems to have been the case for so many other people that have written reviews. So the app is useless. I would have given It zero stars if that were possible since it has actually wasted my time. I called AARP and they said they are working on it and that I would not be able to login until it was fixed, that I should just keep checking back. I told them that they should have some sort of notification to that affect in the app, and probably also in the App Store since it sounds like this has been an ongoing problem. Or perhaps they would do better to take it out of the store completely until they have it fixed.

Review. I love everything about AARP😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!!!!!

Can’t log in. Fix this app!. No new issues have appeared on iPad since the Aug/Sep issue. In an attempt to refresh the screen, I tried logging out and back in. Problem now is that the login attempt just spins and times out. So I changed my password and tried again — same result. Then I tried deleting and reinstalling the app — again, same result. Tech support info is nowhere to be found so at a loss. BTW - Have no problem reading through web browser but vastly prefer the app (when it works). AARP, please fix your app!

App. Very confusing. How do I find my account information?

Dancing. Great reading

Unable to log in. I have contacted customer service several times over the last six months about the log in issue to no avail. At first they said they were working on it and would contact me within 1 week. They never did. Recently sent two emails to customer service and still have not had a response after two months but they are quick to ask you to renew and take your money. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Login Issue. I haven’t seen any new new issues for several months (received by mail), so I made the mistake of logging out to see if logging back in would refresh the app. Now I can’t log in, per other reviews posted here. If anyone at AARP is paying attention to these reviews, please either fix the app or at least acknowledge the problem on this site. Ignoring it does not send a good message to your members.

App no longer works. I enjoyed being able to read the publications on my iPad as we are retired and travel all the time. However, i have not been able to log into the app for several months, although I can log into my AARP acct on a laptop. I deleted the app and reinstalled twice. One other note — would love to have ability to enlarge type, which is perfect for the AARP target audience! :-)

Another Error 15. Like others I also can’t login, I get the same error 15. Very lame app

I enjoy being a AARP member!!!. I enjoy being a AARP member!!!

Michael J Fox article. My husband has Parkinson’s and I now better understand that supporting his independence is more important than me just taking over doing things for him. I need to wait and assist him when asked.
